Dottie was, without any doubt, the perfect person for this position. She welcomed us with tons of experience, despite us not having a clue on how to get married.
To help prepare, she met with us over coffee to help understand our goals for the wedding. We had no clue other than we wanted barbecue food and to make it casual.
Dottie was able to take this idea and transform it into a day full of meaning and purpose.
Thank you for making our dream a reality.

We just celebrated our beautiful wedding this past Saturday, November 2, 2024 and Dottie was our officiant. We contacted her about a year ago and immediately she was such a fun our to work with. We met with her and got to know each other better and right off the bat Dottie was so easy and friendly to get to know. Throughout the course of our year planning, Dottie was in constant communication with us. We would constantly exchange thoughts and ideas about our ceremony plans.
Our ceremony she performed for us this past Saturday was so beautiful. I can't tell you how many guests came up to me after the ceremony to tell me how touched they were at her accurate and beautiful words spoken. Dottie made us feel so calm and truly has a way with words and heart. She gave us an unforgettable day! Thank you Dottie 🥰 -

When my husband and I first spoke to Dottie, we immediately knew that she was the perfect person to be the officiant for our wedding. Dottie has an amazing personality and she is very passionate. She was attentive to every single detail and went far beyond the scope of her job. Dorothy is a great wedding officiant. We had a small and private ceremony at home because the court house was under construction, we had no idea who to hire to perform our marriage, and the lady from the court house gave us the information of different officiants but non of them were as caring, sweet and professional as Dorothy were. We are so grateful she was available for our special day, she totally made the day very special and since the first phone call I had with her, I knew that we would have a great experience. If you decide to hire her you won't regret it.

Dotty is the best person I could of asked for to marry my husband and I on out wedding day. From the first time I talked to dotty we clicked and it was like I’ve been part of her family for years. She provided so much support and love through our whole wedding planning plus rehearsal and ceremony. I love this lady with all my heart and I have only her for about a year. She is very thorough and will answer all questions. She has been doing this for a long time and great at what she does. The day of my wedding I was nervous but once she got there I knew I was in good hands. She truly is the best and I can’t wait for her to help renew my husband and I vows in a few years. Couldn’t be happier!
Dottie was a DREAM to work with for our small, intimate wedding in Northern California! We contacted Dottie only 2 weeks before our wedding, and luckily she agreed to take on our ceremony and did a fantastic job! From our first phone call, she helped put us at ease as she attentively asked about our love story, our values, and what we hoped for our wedding. Dottie was very organized in how she walked us through the ceremony-writing process over our multiple phone calls and emails, and she offered the perfect balance of providing us with enough guidance and structure with many ideas and examples to choose from, but also giving us the freedom to craft something that felt completely our own. She was instrumental in helping us create a perfect ceremony that felt uniquely and totally right for us. She was also a wonderfully grounding and collected presence in the jitters and excitement of the days leading up to the ceremony. After the ceremony, so many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was and how it fit us as a couple perfectly. Dottie was also prompt and accurate with all of the wedding licensing, which we really appreciated! If you’re looking for somebody who can do a personal and heartwarming ceremony, but is also relaxed and flexible, we would definitely recommend Dottie without hesitation! We would love to have her officiate any ceremony for us again in the future. -

Simply the Best Experience ever!
Dot is, hands down, the best Officiant both on this website and on the West Coast. She is extremely personable and kind. Our own friends and family believed that we had both met her when we where younger because of the thoughtful touch she added to our vows. BRIDES, choose Dot if you want the dream ceremony that you have dreamed of without the loads of extra work to make it happen. She has a great approach to making your ceremony both elegant and fluid. I honestly couldn't imagine what our ceremony would have been without her. We had no idea how important it was to find particular details that made it OUR wedding rather then just-another-wedding. Look no futher, Dot is absolutely your best choice. -

Perfect ceremony officiant
Dorothy was super sweet to talk to. I had alot of anxiety and was really unsure of what even wanted. One phone call, eased all of my anxiety. She was available and affordable when we needed her. I had a one hour consolation with her over the phone and I already love her. She has a great vision for what I’m asking for which is not traditional at all, she is open minded and knowledgeable. I really didn’t want to spend so much for an officiant, but also didn’t want the anxiety just thinking about doing it all myself . With her reassurance on all that she has to offer and her professionalism I’m back on board with spending the money. Definitely would recommend her. -

She was our angel.
She genuinely cares for the bride and groom through the entire process, and has the experience and professionalism to make them comfortable and confident through every step. I planned my Northern California wedding from out of state, which was trying. I asked the county clerk if they had any officiants to suggest and Dottie was the only one of three that had an online presence. From the first phone call, to many e-mails, the very easy-going rehearsal, and finally the perfect I-do's. I can't say how she could have been better. She is so flexible and responsive, when you have an idea she goes with it, when you are lost she gives you options, and when you say you feel fine, she asks one more time and says just the right thing to settle your nerves. Our guests, who had a variety of religions/spirituality, all commented how touching and personal the ceremony was. We will forever be thankful to Dottie -

Dottie married my wife and I in April of 2019 and she was an absolute delight. She was professional and worked well with all of the other players involved such as the DJ and wedding planner at the venue. She was also extremely helpful and gracious in the months and weeks leading up to the event. Her price is an absolute bargain when you consider how much time she puts into everything she does for you leading up to your big day. We consider ourselves very lucky we got her.

Choose Dottie!
My husband and I made a great choice in having Dottie as our officiant for our wedding! The amount of time, care, and love that went in to the whole process was truly special. When we saw the final copy of our vows we could see all the things we communicated we wanted so perfectly placed into our vows- we were very pleased 😀 Dottie is also a very thoughtful and sweet person and working with her was a blast- she was prompt, hard working, and communicated with us every step of the way. -

She understood and we were able to put something quick but also was meaning full to me and my husband together. She helped with calming my nerves and she helped reassure me that everything went perfectly, which in the end it did. I would recommend her to anyone for there special day.
