Des and April did my daughters hair and makeup for her wedding as well as her bridesmaids, mother of the bride and aunts. Nine people! I never wear my hair up but LOVED it and my makeup was great, too. Everyone looked like movie stars and the bride was STUNNING! She wanted a old Hollywood and that’s what she got. Call DA Bridal! They are sooo nice and you won’t be disappointed! -

April and Desiree, Alex and Lina were absolutely amazing additions to our wedding. They made everyone look and feel their best, while bringing lightness, fun and ease to the days. Our wedding was a fusion wedding with multiple days of events. We had D&A for two of the days -- the Punjabi wedding and the Western wedding.
Lead up: So much planning, communication and coordination went into figuring out the schedules for both days, as we had 20+ ladies getting hair and makeup done across multiple locations and venue changes. D&A was prompt and thorough in all of their communications and helped me think through things I never would have thought about to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Trials: I arrived at my trial very stressed out after I got a flat tire on the way there. I was met with understanding and a glass of champagne that immediately turned my mood around. I was so unsure about what I wanted in terms of hair and makeup across the two days and Desiree and April were really helpful and patient - listening and working with me to help me figure out exactly what I wanted and making sure I felt good about it.
Wedding: On the days of our events, they were on time (and we started SUPER early), so prepared and so flexible. Above all, they were fun and did great work. Everyone from the bridesmaids, to MOB and MOG and flower girls looked and felt amazing! We also had a number of last minute adds, and they were so accommodating and ready to help at every turn with hair spray touch ups, tikka tape, air brush coverage for my sun burn - you name it! They truly brought the vision I had of myself as a bride to life -- both days, with looks that were different, but distinctly me. I felt so beautiful and that the hair and makeup they did enhanced ME and made me look like my best self. We just got our photos back from the photographer and I'm so happy with how they came out, how I look and I owe that in large part to D&A. Thank you!! -

Desiree and April were the perfect companions for my wedding! I did two separate trials with them, and they were so gracious and accommodating when I couldn't quite nail my look the first time. Let me tell you - I felt absolutely BEAUTIFUL on my day: like myself, but elevated and effortless. I loved having them with me and my girls as we got ready at my house, and later did touch ups at the venue, too. I'm the bride who doesn't wear much makeup, and certainly doesn't know how to articulate what I want. They helped me get there, and ensured I was the bride of my dreams on my wedding day! -

Desiree and April were phenomenal! Weddings are obviously an incredibly stressful and hectic time but they made me feel completely at ease and I enjoyed every second of my time with them. I wanted my hair and makeup to be special but to still look and feel like myself so that one day when I share photos with my children they will recognize their mom. I could not be happier with their work! I felt so beautiful and can't thank them enough for their part in this life changing day for me! -

I was lucky enough to have D&A Bridal recommended to me and they absolutely delivered!
Every step of the process was so easy with them. I got quick replies and timely communication, the trial run went very smoothly (and came out perfectly), and everything went so great on the day of the wedding.
My hair is very fine and doesn't hold shape very well, but we came up with a plan to address that and my hair was defined and shiny throughout the entire wedding! It looks so good in the photos. We had all my bridesmaids' hair done as well and everyone's hair came out simply beautiful.
Would absolutely hire the D&A team again for a future event! -

I hired Desiree and April for my wedding and WOW did I make the correct choice. First and foremost, their skills with hair and makeup are incredible. I had hair and makeup done for my bridal party, my mom, my husband’s mom, and myself. I told everyone that they could decide what they wanted to do with their hair and makeup so everyone had different hair styles and makeup that they wanted. Both Desiree and April executed their preferences perfectly. I had also decided to change my up-do slightly from what we had done at my trial and it looked perfect. It was a long day, starting at 8am and Desiree and April were such a joy to have during my wedding morning. They are so personable and we all got along so well. I was super anxious and they made the whole morning as enjoyable as possible. I cannot recommend them enough! -

I had a February 2022 wedding and honestly one of the best parts of the day was getting ready with my gals -- Desiree & April. Truly, could not have asked for better pros to help me, my bridesmaids and my family (a group of 11) get ready for the big day -- making every single person look absolutely stunning.
They were very professional and adaptable to everyone's different needs and requests -- from those that had a very specific vision / look to others who had zero ideas or wanted something more minimal / natural -- and did touchups before we left to make sure everything looked fresh. And then there was me who completely switched things up from what we did during the trial, but they still managed to create the exact look I was going for.
Their client portal system is also super easy to manage everything (e.g., contract, timeline, billing, etc.) -- and was helpful in making sure that we were all on the same page.
They were incredibly responsive and punctual -- and overall just a joy to hang out with. 5/5, 10/10 -- 100% recommend hiring these ladies -- If only I had more excuses to work with them more often :) -

WOW is all I can say about D&A bridal. Not only is each member of the D&A team incredibly talented and skilled at making you do your best, but they also help you FEEL your best on your big day. Desiree, April, Alex, and Lina were lively, helpful, and thoughtful while helping me and my bridesmaids complete our looks for my wedding. Through the included hair and makeup trial with Desiree and April, I was able to truly feel confident and comfortable with my look before our wedding day even began. Additionally, due to the expansion of their team, we were able to get a later start on hair and make up (what a treat)! All in all, if you are looking for hair and makeup styling for any occasion, I HIGHLY recommend D&A bridal. 10/5 stars. -

Dez eased all my makeup fears
I had the best time working with Dez for my wedding this past summer. I typically wear very little makeup, so I was feeling nervous about having full face and not feeling like myself. Dez immediately made me feel so comfortable and was very patient in listening me try to explain what I wanted (shimmery, glowy, natural-looking). After a first pass, she was very receptive to changes and quickly understand what I was saying even though I barely know how to talk about makeup. On my wedding day, Dez showed up on time and ready to go. The rest of us showed up a bit late (our fault) and Dez was an absolute professional in working quickly even though we had thrown off her schedule. And even though she works fast, she works precisely and I was absolutely obsessed with my wedding day makeup, it was even better than the look we had landed on in the trial and it seriously lasted ALL DAY even through all the smiling and dancing. She also did my mom’s makeup who seriously doesn’t wear any makeup and my mom was SO happy with how she looked and floated around all day. Dez has such amazing calm, positive energy on what can be a very stressful morning, and really listens and works with you to make sure you feel like your most beautiful self. -

Best of all, April and Angelina felt like extra friends during my most intimate moments – they brought fun energy, bopped along to our getting ready soundtrack, and kept us all laughing and having a great time. My mom adored them and my friends all wanted to befriend them too. I almost didn't want to leave for my first looks because I was having so much fun! They definitely set the tone for the rest of my wedding day to feel fun and celebratory. -

Working with Desiree and April was such an amazing experience! I was nervous about hair and makeup because I NEVER get my hair or makeup done so I had no idea what to expect. Desiree and April instantly made me feel comfortable at my hair and makeup trial, and they were willing to work with me to give me a more natural look. On the day of my wedding, I received so many compliments from my guests about my natural makeup look. I was hesitant about going with false eye lashes because I hadn't worn them before, but I ended up loving them and how they look in photos!
As for hair, I have very curly and frizzy hair, so I wanted to make sure that my hair stylist knew how to style this type of hair. April did an amazing job of working with my hair and keeping it frizz-free the entire day. My entire wedding party had curly hair, and April did a great job of styling each person's hair in a way that fit their hair needs. Everyone looked beautiful. Thank you! -

Dez and her team are so great to work with! I originally met Dez when she did the makeup for my cousin's wedding and knew I had to book her for mine as well. Fast forward YEARS, my bridesmaids and I finally got to get ready with DA Bridal for our Sonoma wedding in August 2021.
We had some last min changes to our glam squad the week of and Dez handled everything so professionally and efficiently. Our day-of looks all turned out so well and her assistants were great. We'd been in touch for a long time about the hotel's set up, logistics with our large group (didn't want to start TOO early!), desired looks/vibes for hair and makeup, etc. and it all came to fruition beautifully (even without a trial! Perhaps risky, but I didn't live in-state by the time our postponed date came around, and it all worked out just fine).
So grateful for Desiree and her team and highly recommend her and DA for any beauty needs for your events in the greater SF area. -

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Desiree and April! We tested out some looks during the trial and right away they were so sweet and made me feel really comfortable. Desiree did my hair and makeup for the welcome party and I felt absolute queen! My friends couldn't get over the bubble ponytail. The next day they made all the girls feel beautiful and relaxed. I'm so glad my wedding planner found a makeup artist that had experience working with a diverse set of skin tones. My sister-in-law was nervous about that because she had a prior bad experience. When Desiree finished working her magic, my sister-in-law said it was the best she's ever looked! April did such a great job styling my hair and it lasted the entire night. Really can't say enough amazing things about their talent and people skills. BOOK THEM! -

I don't think I can ever thank April and Desiree enough for all they have done and for how gorgeous they made me look/feel on my wedding day. My wedding was originally in 2020 but because of the pandemic, I had to reschedule the wedding to 2021 and push back the trial. They were so easy to work with and easy to communicate with.
After my trial with them, I went home and told my husband that I have serious Megan Fox vibes (because she does her hair like that a lot). I felt like had so much confidence because of my hair and make-up, I made him take me out that night. Can't let a good look go to waste! I got the same feeling on my wedding day and I love love love the look so much. They made my wedding day so much fun. They are super fun and easy to talk to and they make sure you feel comfortable. All the girls on my bridal party had a blast with D+A and they loved their looks. D+A knew exactly what I was looking for and I still can't get over how amazing my hair turned out! I was really happy that my hair and make-up lasted all night! Even after a bunch of dancing and jumping! And believe me there was a lot of dancing and jumping that night.
I highly recommend D+A for any events, big or small. My sister will hopefully be getting married in the next year or two and I am gonna for sure push her to use D+A Bridal. I would love to work with them again. I am so so happy with D+A Bridal. You will regret if you don't book with them! -

Amazing Hair and Makeup artists!
These ladies know what they're doing! I can't say enough good things about how D+A Bridal showed up for me through the stress of pandemic/wildfire wedding planning. From doing my hair/makeup for my engagement photos, to making everyone look beautiful on my big day, Desiree and April provided excellent service, were extremely flexible and did excellent work! I felt stunning on my big day and couldn't be happier with the photos and memories that were made. We had many venue changes because of Covid, and through the whole thing, many back and forth emails, April and Desiree remained flexible, open and supportive. They outlined a schedule for completing the bridesmaids, mother of the bride and groom, bride and flower girls and everyone was at the alter on time and looking beautiful. Thanks to their organization, we all knew what to expect, where to be and the day flowed easily. I was able to show them "inspiration" photos and they got everything just right. Hello brides!
Go with Desiree and April. First, here's some background info. 1) I don't know anything about makeup. 2) We planned our own wedding with 0.00% planning experience, and paid for our own wedding with maybe 65% the funds needed to actually cover a wedding in the Bay Area. So, needless to say, I was nervous about picking a bridal beauty option, and considered trying to DIY it. What sold me was the other reviews about D+A, about how comfortable they made brides+bridesmaids+moms feel, and how the results looked natural-but-special. Best, decision, ever. We ended up finding the funds to hire D+A, and then the moms and bridesmaids ended up chipping in to have theirs done too. It ended up being 7 ladies, hair and makeup! Desiree and April were FLAWLESS. From the moment I met them for my trial (so fun!!!) I knew all the reviews were true and I was in good hands. I felt GORGEOUS on my wedding day. I didn't have to worry about looking great in pictures and our video, and now when I look back at the pics, all I can think is wow, I'm so glad I took the leap and went with Desiree and April. Seriously... trust them. If I ever need to look drop dead gorgeous for a special event in the future... I'm texting them. -

Desiree & April are truly the best! They are so responsive and attentive, but more importantly they exude such positive and fun energy that is crucial to setting the mood on your big day. Their hair & makeup work is top notch, and they were able to replicate what they had done during my trial run with them flawlessly. I had diverse ages, skin tones, and preferences (mother of the bride, younger sister, damaged hair, etc) get their services done by Desiree & April and everyone felt so confident and beautiful!

Fantastic team!
Desiree and April are truly the dynamic duo. I was so pleased with the service they provided for my wedding. They are efficient, yet still provide great quality.
I have very curly hair and was having a challenge finding/trusting someone who could work with my hair in its natural state. April was not only able to work with it, but she was able to elevate and enhance it, which was so refreshing as in my experience that is really rare.
I, along with 8 other bridesmaids, got both hair and makeup done. The group ranged from people who wear makeup/style their hair daily to those who never do. They were even able to fit my mom in at the last second! (As an aside, my mom was hesitant to do any hair and makeup because she has had bad experiences in the past with other makeup/hair making her look older than she is, but after she saw everyone else’s final looks she went for it and she looked so great- subtle, yet elevated.)
They are so fun to be around and fit right in with the wedding party. What impressed me the most was their ability to listen to what each person wanted and execute it. They are also perceptive and provide helpful suggestions: Desiree noticed that I wear a lot of rose gold and suggested that we incorporate that into my look, which ended up fitting perfectly into my vision. They are also gracious with feedback and will happily make adjustments until you are happy with your look. Everyone looked so great without that overly-done and stiff appearance and the makeup stays on alllll day and night! So impressive.
I wouldn’t hesitate to book them again for any event in which I find myself needing hair and makeup! -

D&A Bridal were the absolute best to work with! I first met them as a bridesmaid for a friend and then asked them to do my wedding the following year. They were very responsive when I had any questions. D&A were also very flexible with my trial, they managed to squeeze me in so that I could be all dolled up for my bridal shower! The day of my wedding, we had 9 people to get hair and make-up done. D&A arrived on site before 7am and had finished all of us on schedule by 2pm! They perfectly fit everyone's style needs; I had 5 bridesmaids, two moms, a grandma and myself and everyone looked absolutely stunning! D&A made the morning of my wedding so much fun and super relaxing! -

I live in Chicago so Desiree was able to do a trial makeup session the week of my wedding when I was in town. She was flexible with my schedule and helped accommodate all my needs. We shared photos and ideas on Pinterest to get an idea of the wedding day (and rehearsal dinner) look. Desiree does MIRACLE work with her makeup, I feel like each look was very much me. She listened to what I wanted - I am not a huge makeup person in everyday life - and she made me look and feel gorgeous. Desiree also did makeup for my sister (the maid of honor) and my mom. I definitely recommend working with Desiree for your next big event. She is such a pleasure to spend time with and her makeup work is gorgeous. You will not be disappointed. Annie Sent on 06/20/2018Where do I even begin?! Desiree and April are gems! If you are looking for a really talented, hardworking, fun team, these are your girls!!
I really have never felt so beautiful as I did on my wedding day, in large part because of these two! I have very fine, thin hair and the updo April was able to achieve blew my mind. And I don't usually wear a lot of makeup, so the eyebrows and lips made me nervous, but Desiree did an incredible job putting me at ease and showing me that I can wear makeup and look amazing in it. These girls are artists! My look was flawless! Everything was clean and classy and natural. And, both my hair and makeup held strong through to the after party!
On top of the hair and makeup being beautiful, April and Desiree were accommodating, punctual, and super hard working. April came to my apartment for my hair trial, which I was very impressed by and which was super convenient for me. And on the day of my wedding I was so comfortable working with both of them - it was like having two more of my girlfriends in my bridal suite.
Look no further ladies! Book these girls immediately!

Des and April are an amazing team. Very attentive, professional and open to hear what look you are going for. They did my hair and makeup for my wedding at San Francisco city hall. Also my daughters hair she is 7 and absolutely loved how her hair "waves" stayed with her all day long. The airbrush make up was a fabulous idea, since it stayed with me throughout the day but still have that natural look I was going for. Their positive attitude made such a nice environment to be at, not to mentioned it is obvious the level of experience in their fields, felt very secure of putting my hair and face in their hands. It was really easy to coordinate with them via email and we set up a time to do a hair/makeup trial at Desiree's house in San Francisco. I loved how the trial turned out, so I booked them both for the wedding. I'm not someone who wears much makeup normally and I told Desiree that I wanted to make sure that my makeup didn't look too heavy so I would actually look and feel like myself on the day of the wedding. Desiree definitely achieved that and I absolutely loved how my makeup turned out. April styled my hair in a low, loose bun with a braid and secured my headpiece really well. It looked exactly how I wanted and it held up all night. They also brought a touch-up kit including my lip color and blotting papers, which was a really nice touch. My mom and sister loved how their hair and makeup turned out too. Desiree and April are both laid back, friendly, and really nice, so it was great to have them there on the morning of the wedding. I highly recommend them both!

I admittedly put off planning my hair/makeup until late in the game, and they were both so accommodating with their scheduling to make everything fit. With my curly hair, I was really unsure how to approach styling, and April didn't flinch a bit. It turned out better than I had ever expected, and not at all like a cookie-cutter "bridal" look. Plus, it stayed put all day! Des nailed the look I was going for with my makeup, striking a great classic-glam balance that didn't feel overdone or too basic. My mom was also very happy with her makeup, and looked so beautiful! The airbrushing stayed flawless all day and felt like wearing nothing at all. I would absolutely hire them again for other events.

Jillie Sent on 10/11/2017Desiree was my wedding day makeup muse. Side note, I am aloof and didn’t have a clear vision of what I wanted, I know, a makeup artists worst nightmare. Desiree and I discussed a few different styles before the trail and when it came down to it she nailed it! Desiree was very flexible with me as I was coming to the bay area from Los Angeles for my trail and the wedding. She reworked her schedule to meet up for the trail, she also researched airbrushing options as requested. Desiree did my wedding day makeup along with my mother who is 65 and my bridesmaids. Everyone looked fabulous and the makeup held all day and night. We started early, about 10am and the wedding was at 6pm, the entire day, through the heat of the summer and no A/C our makeup held, and our lashes held through all the happy tears. To be honest, I had never seen my mother look so radiant. Her mature skin looked smooth and dewy, very fresh which attests to Desiree’s skills and trained eye. My makeup was better than I could have imagined. If I lived closer I would insert myself as a friend, with this being said I highly recommend Desiree. My mother & bridesmaids agree, she is phenomenal!

Sarah Sent on 10/03/2017AMAZING!! Would hire these ladies again in a heartbeat. Not only were they on time/professional/good-hearted/fun, they were extremely hardworking... We kept offering them food and champagne but it was really important to them to get everyone done on time! And everyone looked so fabulous. My mom had never had professional makeup done before, and Dez was super communicative with her; April dealt with a range of bridesmaid preferences, some who had an exact picture they wanted her to replicate, others who just asked her to be creative -- and she was! They finished everyone way ahead of schedule, and all the hair and makeup stayed the entire night, even for my maid of honor, whose hair is so thick that curls never stay. She looked gorgeous at 2 a.m.! The ladies were all in awe at D&A's talents -- as evidenced by endless selfies. I heard the mother of the groom tell them "bless you" after she saw herself in the mirror. Really truly could not have picked better vendors for hair and makeup. We had so much fun!

She is very talented and professional, and made me feel very comfortable while she was doing my make up. She brought out my natural features and didn't make me feel or look like someone else.
