Cassandra will create your dream photos!
Cassandra was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She's a true artist with vast knowledge of the Mendocino region, particularly helpful for those planning their wedding from afar. She supported us through multiple phone conversations, planning of logistics, and made us feel so at ease during our wedding photography session. She's super fun to work with, has a great sense of humor, and is extremely creative. Do yourself a favor and hire her! -

It was truly an honor and blessing to find Cassandra from CYoung photography and hire her to be our photographer for our Elopement wedding day. Her artistic approach is unmatched! She is a truly seasoned photographer who made everything so easy for us while she created and captured such magical moments that we now get to cherish in images forever. She captures the emotions in each moment! We got married in Mendocino at the cliffs edge and it was very helpful that Cassandra is also very knowledgeable and familiar with the overall area. She made everything flow seamlessly. She also has a natural quality to make you feel extremely comfortable which lead to achieving breathtaking photos of our most special day. If I could give her 10 stars out of five, that is my rating! Hire her and you will be so happy you did! -

We appreciate Cassandra willing to work with us for a short time for our elopement. She was even willing to accommodate our large German Shepherd dog in our session. Her photography is beautiful and definitely captured 'us'. We are grateful for having her photos to remember our elopement. -

Wonderful experience with Cassandra
We were so impressed with Cassandra! She is a pleasure to work with and was responsive from the start. We appreciated her timely communication and after speaking with her, we could sense that she is warm and welcoming. As we were both feeling a bit camera-shy, this was a great comfort to us.
After receiving our first photos, we were awestruck at the quality of her work. She was able to achieve such stunning use of light and capture the natural beauty of Mendocino. She gave helpful prompts to guide us during the photo session yet let us be ourselves at the same time. I can't stop looking at the photos she took. They are truly remarkable!
If you are considering Cassandra for your photographer, I highly recommend her, both as a gifted photographer and a wonderful person to work with. Thank you for capturing our special day! -

Wedding August 2020
Cassandra was phenomenal! She took care to discuss with me before the wedding exactly the style of photos I was hoping for. Not only did she immediately put me at ease on the day (she quickly felt like a friend!), but the pictures turned out incredible - very authentic to me and my husband. She captured the spirit of the day beautifully. Would highly recommended! -

IN LOVE with my wedding photos and video
Cassandra was amazing from start to finish. She was easy to reach, responsive, and helpful when making my timeline and schedule. She was professional, but also made me feel so relaxed and at ease through every moment of our special day. Most importantly, my photos and wedding video are AMAZING. I had my wedding during covid, so it was extra important for me to have photos and video that truly captured our day so we could share it with loved ones unable to attend. Every person has told us it's the BEST video they've seen. She made me feel so comfortable and beautiful! I cherish every photo and memory she captured. Highly recommend!!! -

If Cassandra is available... snap her up! She is a total gem, and was the perfect photographer for us. I'm so grateful for her kind professionalism, reassuring expertise, and stunning artistry. Once we hired her, I didn't worry about photos at all, and everything came out just beautifully. 1,000% recommend.
A few specific notes on our wedding & needs... In the redwoods at a private home, and an unusual ceremony design. She scouted the site with us and walked through the space and our ideas, suggested improvements (which were excellent), and consulted / advised on the timing (which really helped). She was flexible and communicative throughout the process from setting our contract through delivering the photos. And on our wedding day it was clear she's a master at this -- from her kind presence in our intimate getting-ready gatherings, to her creative excellence with our first look photos, to her patience on wrangling family for group portraits AND attention to detail so everyone looked good! Thank you Cassandra :) -

My daughter was married at The Albion River Inn on 9-29-19. The goal was a small, simple, magical wedding weekend with close family and friends! The venue is a special place and hiring the perfect photographer was a top priority to capture the candid, fun and special moments! And that's where Cassandra comes in. After looking at her website and talking to her; we knew she was perfect! She explained everything on the phone, answered all our questions, proposed a timeline and sent a contract reiterating what was talked about. She is so experienced and makes you feel relaxed and at ease because she knows what she is doing so you can enjoy the wedding. She knows the Mendocino area so don't have to worry about her trying to figure out the best place to take photos-she already knows!! Also, there was rain predicted during the ceremony, she remained calm and she said she would make things work no matter what happens! There was a little bit of rain and clouds and it sure made the sky beautiful and added a lot of character to the day!! Thank you, Cassandra, for the beautiful engagement and wedding photos that will bring us back to The Albion River Inn and the Mendocino area every time we look at them! -

We cannot praise Cassandra enough. She was our wedding photographer and it was beyond magical. She was professional and attentive throughout the entire process. There were quite a few hiccups throughout our wedding, but Cassandra was there to help smooth things over and keep us on track. Our wedding would have been completely derailed if it wasn’t for Cassandra. She went above and beyond, 100% would recommend! Oh! Did I mention that the actual photographs are freaking perfect?! -

But what has set her apart from all others is the personal service, her flexibility, and her excellent personable touch and great listening skills - wanting to know what we thought, what we wanted. Cassandra was lovely to work with for our engagement shoot and wedding day photos. Wonderful to work with a local for our Mendocino wedding: she knew the venue, how to best work with the weather and lighting, and great coastal settings for additional shoots.
She made us comfortable, took the time to understand us and the type of photos we wanted during an engagement shoot a couple weeks before the wedding. She made great suggestions for the wedding day schedule, and did an excellent job corralling our massive family for portraits, capturing candid moments and fun details, and styling beautiful shots of the bride and groom.
She sent a gorgeous set of preview photos a week after the wedding, and the full set of edited images just over 3 months later. Our only regret was not booking her for another hour after sunset to capture more of the candid debauchery! -
