The Best of the Best

When we first started planning our wedding and choosing vendors, we knew we wanted Diane Gaudett as our florist because of how remarkable her work is. From our first call we had, we knew we were in terrific hands and trusted her completely. She was with us every step of the way and was so accommodating to all of our requests and changes. And as high as our hopes were for how everything would turn out, she still exceeded them tenfold and turned our venue into a winter wonderland and helped create the wedding of our dreams. Words cannot express our gratitude. She is worth every penny - not only for her stunning work, but for the joyful presence she brought to our day. 10/10 florist and person. Thank you Diane & Team!!!

Truly Exceptional!!

Diane is INCREDIBLE!! I was truly blown away when I saw my bouquet. Everything from the arch, chair décor, centerpieces, cake, candles, etc. was just perfection. Her team is AMAZING. I had a vision of what I wanted in my head and Diane not only delivered but exceeded all of my expectations! All of the details added so much to the day and I couldn't help but look around and smile at how beautiful everything was. Highly recommend!!

October 3rd 2021 Sunday Wedding

Diane Gaudett's Floral design is just unparalleled, you give her your vision, and watch it come to life! All the flowers at the wedding, from the arch, to the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, and the men's and children's boutonnieres were perfect. The flowers at the table, and the sweetheart table were just phenomenal!! I am so goddamn impressed with you Mrs. Gaudett, you just know how to make flowers come together with such effortless beauty. She is the florist I would choose again and again, you made my wedding day even more perfect!! Thank you!!

The SWEETEST lady, with the MOST BEAUTIFUL arrangements!!

The title explains everything about Diane- she is not only the sweetest most personable vendor, but she is so extremely GIFTED, it’s out of this world! She just ran with little ideas I had and made them bigger better and more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.. she created a true fairytale wedding for my husband and I.. I couldn’t imagine more beautiful floral/candle arrangements! If you’re getting a florist, don’t look anywhere else- she is the best of the best!! Truly! Thank you so much Diane!

Diane did an amazing job with our wedding flowers. She incorporated all of our feedback and carefully helped us find floral arrangements that fit our vision and venue. She also helped us incorporate personal details, like family heirlooms onto my bridal bouquet. In addition to being incredibly talented, Diane is a wonderful and positive person to work with. She goes above and beyond to coordinate day of details with other vendors. Overall Diane was a pleasure to work with and helped make our wedding a dream come true!

How do I even begin to review someone who took my dream, my vision and made it come to life. Diane was a dream to work with. From the first meeting she is warm and genuine and makes you feel like your wedding is the only wedding that matters. She took my vision and made it a reality. I have not stopped receiving messages on how beautiful everything was. Her work and professionalism is impeccable. I could not stop looking and smelling my bouquet all day, I was in love with it! Diane is an amazing florist! She did the flowers for my December 3rd wedding and I was blown away. I have some difficulty picking out flowers, but we talked about colors and general ideas for flowers. When she arrived with the flowers on my wedding day I was so happy! I couldn't have asked for better flowers. She also did a really cute pearl wrist strap for the wristlets for our mothers and grandmothers. She is fantastic and I cannot say enough good things about her! Do not hesitate to pick her as your florist! She worked within my small budget without difficulty!

Wow! Diane is absolutely fantastic. This review is long overdue. She did my stepdaughter's wedding this July. Diane was in the midst of some very large events when along came our moderately priced floral budget. Not only did she create some memorable designs (I've had a few friends ask for pictures of the chuppah she designed for their out-of-town florists to replicate) but she showed up to make sure the installation was managed properly. I know she had bigger parties going on that same weekend. Diane never made us feel like we were anything less than her most important client. My stepdaughter's arrangements reflected her offbeat sensibilities and Diane could not have pulled the whole thing together more beautifully. A pleasure to deal with no matter how busy she was, I give Diane an A++. You absolutely can not go wrong!

Diane was SO helpful and such a pleasure to work with. I had spoken with four other florists before speaking with Diane. She was also the only person who didn't tell me my budget and vision were completely unreasonable-- she simply told me what to expect for both which as really great. She made the day perfect and I couldn't imagine the day without her!

I honestly don't know where to begin. Diane created heaven on earth and I literally had tears flowing when I entered my reception! Not only is her work beyond gorgeous but Diane is the warmest, fun, sweetest person ever! I am not exaggerating when every guest, photographer, musician, the venue, I mean everyone could not believe the transformation she created. She used flowers, candle light, linens, stemware, chargers, napkin rings, in a manner I could not even dream about. Her level of detail and perfectionism was out of this world. I heard comments throughout the night about her work and that her design was something you would expect at a White House or Hollywood event! But Diane as a person is genuinely the best part of working with her company! My sister worked with Diane for her wedding and I knew when it was my turn that she was the person I wanted to work with and it was by far the best decision I made! Words truly cannot capture the magic she created!!!!

I could not be happier with the floral design that Diane Gaudett did for our June wedding-- I still love looking back at our photos and seeing the stunning arrangements Diane and her team put together for us. She is so sweet, bubbly, enthusiastic, and an absolutely joy to work with! My husband and I met with Diane 6 months before our wedding, and immediately felt comfortable fully trusting her with our flowers. I had a general idea of the look I wanted which Diane completely understood--even better than I did! The bouquets and centerpieces were even more incredible than I had imagined-- she so perfectly captured the feeling that I was after. She was willing to revise her proposal to work with our budget, and never pressured us to spend more than we were able to. Diane also did the flowers for my cousin's wedding a few months later, and I was blown away once again by her incredible work. I would highly recommend Custom Floral Designs!!

It's 4:00am and we are leaving on our Honeymoon, but I had to review Diane and here team before leaving. I can't say enough wonderful things about Diane. From our first meeting she was so very helpful. As a designer I had a very specific vision in my head. I was nervous about whether a floral designer would be able to really get what we wanted. Diane not only got it, she ran with it, and exceeded our wildest expectations!!! The room was breathtaking! I mean I really gasped when I walked into the ballroom and saw what Diane and her team had created. She was so easy to work with and gave me us so much more than I expected. For example: There were extra orchids from the centerpieces, so she put a bloom at each place setting, of course asking us if we liked it. We LOVED everything!! Diane is a creative genius and gave us a beautiful and elegant wedding that was unique. All of our guests commented on what stunning arrangements there were.

Diane is wonderful. I got married last June and the flowers blew me away. I had described what I wanted, but the bouquets were better than I could have imagined: really the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. There was a slight mixup with the boutineers (entirely my fault) and she managed to construct extra ones for additional family members on the spot. I was incredibly impressed. Wedding flowers are expensive, but the service Diane provides is definitely worth it.

I held a Sweet 16 for my daughter's birthday, and I was amazed at what Diane did to the room that we held the event in. She literally transformed it from your standard venue into a Winter Wonderland. My guests could not believe that this was the same room which they have attended many events in. It was a magical evening, and a month later, my daughter is still walking on cloud nine.

I would recommend Diane for ANY event that you might be considering her for. Her bubbly personality, her attention to detail and her unbelievable talent to create the perfect ambiance for your event is incredible. I cannot say enough about her!

Perfection at its finest!!! I can't say enough about Diane Guadett and her amazing ability to transform a space into a small slice of heaven!! My wedding planner set up a few meetings with a couple of different florists for me to evaluate and from the very first moment I met Diane I knew she was "the one" :) I voiced what I was looking for in terms of design for my rustic christmas wedding and she was immediately super energetic and full of amazing ideas. I just had the sense that she "got" me. She understood my vision and not only enhanced it but brought my fairtytale picture wedding in my head, to life. She was always available to chat and answer any questions I had and worked easily with my budget. She had no problem letting me pick up and provide little things to her in order to keep some cost areas down. I had problems with many of my vendors along the way but I was never worried about Diane. I just knew she understood exactly what I wanted and boy was I right! On my wedding day, walking into my reception space, my jaw dropped. And every single one of my guests had the exact same reaction as they walked through my reception doors. From bouquets to boutonnieres, church decor to crystals and hanging candles, Diane made my wedding magazine worthy! I voiced I wanted tall rustic centerpieces and she actually created sky high twig trees that looked like they were growing out of my tables! Insanely beautiful! I can't thank Diane and her assistant enough for creating the most memorable and magical decor I have EVER seen. I will forever have my gorgeous pictures that capture the beauty , elegance and perfection that Diane Guadett executed on my wedding day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! Simply the BEST!!!!!!

Here is an email that I sent Diane so that you can understand how truly wonderful she was to work with:"Dear Diane,...The flowers were absolutely STUNNING. Even though I didn't get to see everything without people around, after seeing the photos, I can honestly say that the flowers were better than I could have ever imagined. My bouquet was stunning, and everything I dreamed, as were the girls' bouquets. The church and candles were perfect, and the room... oh my, the room. It was absolutely perfect. You took all of my crazy ideas and blended them seamlessly into one, gorgeous, piece of art. Everyone kept saying how beautiful it all was, and my dad can't stop (still) talking about how the colors of the bouquets looked so amazing with the our dresses. As far as photos, please please send them to everyone! Send brides my email address & phone number for a reference, so that I can tell them how amazing you were to work with, and how your energy only made me more excited about the big day. I cannot wait to recommend you to others who are getting married in CT and the surrounding area... you truly made my wedding day the most beautiful day it could possibly be, and I would do it all over again, with you, in a heartbeat!" Also worth mentioning - Diane got in a car accident on the day of my wedding. To this day I don't know what happened, or if anything was damaged, but the whole thing went off without a hitch. Everything was perfect, and I would never have known. The only reason I DID know was because she called my bridesmaid to say the boutonnieres would be delivered to our first look location instead of the hotel. Had she not said that, I would have been totally oblivious! I mention this because it showcases the professionalism of Diane and her team, and their ability to adapt to circumstances completely out of their control. There are bound to be glitches on your wedding day, but if your vendors can roll with the punches, you may never know they happened!

She is creative, fun and incredibly caring. She listens and definitely works with your budget. I knew when I met her that I had nothing to worry about and I was completely right. Diane was amazing! When we first met with her I was very worried that this was going to be so expensive we couldn't afford it as her pictures were all so amazing! She was extremely flexible working with us on price and also offering ideas and recommendations! There are a lot of little details that go along with the flowers and Diane made everything work seamlessly and easily! As I did most of the detailed planning, she not only helped with Flowers but also anything else I had a question on. She was fantastic! The proof was in the numerous compliments we received in regards to the flowers and decorations at the wedding! Until then I never realized people actually noticed those things and when I did I was ecstatic that we used Diane & Custom Floral Design!

The minute we started talking to Diane, we knew that we wanted her as our florist! She is very good at what she does and is very passionate about every wedding. She provided great suggestions along with a wide array of flowers to match our color scheme. We loved being able to see the actual size, shape, etc. of the centerpiece vases when we met with her in person.

The day of the wedding, Diane brought the bouquets to the hotel room and when I saw my bouquet I was speechless! It was the most beautiful bouquet I had ever seen! Not to mention the rest of the bouquets, centerpieces and floral arrangements blew us away. Plus, a few days before the wedding I asked for a couple of adjustments and she made them without any hesitation!

I think every guest at the wedding commented about the flowers being the most amazing display people had seen at a wedding! Thank you Diane, you made our wedding a day none of us will ever forget!

I do not normally write reviews but I was so blown away by Diane and her work that I couldn't pass the opportunity. I wish there were more stars to give Diane. She is truly amazing and I could not imagine trusting anyone else to have done our flowers for our wedding. Diane is SO much more than a florist. She has so many amazing ideas and her creativity is truly remarkable. Her taste is impeccable and she really captured our vision and made it even better. Our flowers turned out absolutely beautiful and it was everything my husband and I imagined and more. Our reception site even asked our photographer for pictures of the tables so that they can use them in their brochures. Diane always made me feel at ease. After every meeting with Diane, I walked away with excitement and peace knowing that our flowers would be amazing. Her effervescent personality is contagious; it is truly impossible to be unhappy around Diane. My husband always appreciated this aspect, particularly when I was stressed out! She was beyond accommodating, flexible, responsive, attentive, and so much more. On the day of our wedding, Diane arrived with our beautiful bouquets. I was in the middle of getting my hair done. She told me to sit back and relax and assured me that she would take care of everything. And that's exactly what she did. She ensured that everyone was taken care of and that every detail was perfect. There was a last minute change in our wedding where my cousin had to walk my mom down the aisle. Diane quickly made up a boutonniere for him and pinned it on him in a matter of seconds - and it looked absolutely beautiful! She fluffed my dress, fixed my train, and provided me tons of support and guidance before my big walk down the aisle with my dad. She was always calm, sweet, and incredibly professional. Her attention to detail is unbelievable and she went above and beyond for us. She is the absolute BEST! I would recommend Diane to others in a heart beat. Diane Gaudett of Custom Floral Designs came highly recommended to us, and I would highly recommend her to others. When I walked into our reception room for the first time the day of our wedding, I just grinned from ear to ear. Everything…EVERYTHING…was just as I had imagined it…AND MORE!! My vision…my dream....had come true!! All throughout the night I would stop…look around…and just take in how beautiful everything looked. Diane has a modern and fun style. She presents herself this way…and her work is executed this way. She is very sweet and energetic…and will work with you until your vision is nailed down. I found choosing flowers to be the hardest part of wedding planning for the simple fact that there are no price tags. Be up front with your florist about your budget right from the start. My wedding planner referred us to Diane and we are so thankful that she did! Diane was amazing and totally got what I was going for. I had a lot of color I wanted to incorporate to go along with my sunset theme and Diane was able to perfectly capture the sunset colors in the flower choices and centerpiece designs. My bouquet was MAGICAL and my bridesmaids' bouquets were perfection as well. We had a lot of flowers and areas that needed decoration - the ceremony, the cocktail patio area, the dining area, and a bunch of little nooks and crannies (i.e. mantlepieces, escort card table, etc.) that needed decoration and everything turned out absolutely fabulous. I wanted to have different arrangements in various places and Diane was able to keep the theme and overall look continuous while still keeping things different and interesting. Diane's arrangements really were exquisite and my wedding would not have been as beautiful and fluid without her. She was also able to work within our set budget while still executing my vision perfectly.

My husband and I got married almost 3 years ago - so unfortunately this review is really late, but we could not have been any happier with Diane and her amazing, talented, work. I met Diane at The Waterview bridal fair and was immediately impressed with her work, professionalism and talent. She met with my husband and I at her home office a few times and I can't say enough good things about her. She was patient, completely understand the vision we wanted to go for, and really worked with us to stick with our budget. My bouquet, my bridesmaids bouquets, my husband's boutonniere, and our centerpieces came out more beautiful than we ever imagined. We had a very specific fall vision and Diane really made that come to life. I'm just sorry it took me so long to write this review. I highly recommend Diane - she will not disappoint!

Our wedding happened to fall on Mother’s Day weekend which can get tricky when it comes to flowers, but Diane put us at ease and was able to provide us with incredible florals even with our budget which was on the tighter end. Diane did an incredible job at being able to take our vision and bring it to life perfectly. Her flowers helped to set the tone we wanted for the wedding, they were beyond gorgeous and exactly what we wanted! We’d highly recommend Diane, she was a pleasure to work with!

Diane is very responsive and professional. Throughout our time working together, we had several phone calls (about 4-5) discussing our special day. She was one of the more responsive vendors we worked with always returning e-mails within 24 hours. She is very personable and makes you feel like you're family. She provided us with centerpieces, ceremony decor, bouquets and boutonnieres, all within our budget. We did spend more on florals than many other vendors, but we received a lot for our money. The centerpieces and bouquets were more gorgeous than I ever imagined. I am not typically a flowers person, but was obsessed with the florals from my wedding and have them around my apartment as we speak. She was very flexible, allowing us to change the drop-off location and time provided during the week of the wedding. Overall, very happy with Diane and her team.

Our ceremony/reception took place at Saint Clements Castle, and the flowers were absolutely amazing! Exactly what I envisioned, these flowers were both beautiful, and whimsical. Everything looked gorgeous, and I will definitely recommend her services!

**Reason for .5 star off: I was a bit upset when one of my groomsmen did not receive his boutonniere, but when this was noticed, she quickly pulled a flower from a centerpiece and made it into a new one for him... though, I was still charged for one?**

Diane was wonderful to work with, very nice and had lots of great ideas and suggestions. Our bouquets, wristlets, and the ceremony flowers where absolutely stunning. We rented gorgeous vases from her, and she stacked our vintage fairytale books around the room. I really loved our bouquets, they were just what I dreamed of.

For the cost, I was slightly disappointed in the table arrangements. There was so much filler and very little flowers... Over all her designs and the quality of flowers were great. I'd still highly recommend her, I just regret spending so much to upgrade the table arrangements and them not being what I wanted/described. I'd suggesting asking just how many flowers will be in the arrangements if you're going for tall table top arrangements. My guess would be we got 20 roses mixed in with bushels of filler, for about 3 times what I wanted to spend on them. They were still beautiful, just not what I imagined.

It was very easy choosing Diane as my. Diane did my sisters years two years ago and everything was so beautiful. I didn’t waste any time researching or comparison prices for my wedding. In my option, when you find the best why look further. I wanted tall candelabras as my centerpieces with large orchids cascading. My vision was cream flowers, candelabras, candles everywhere. I was going for a very romantic, elegant and timeless look to fit my venue. Diane was able to perfectly capture my vision. All the little details and touches that Diane puts into her work made my wedding completely amazing. My boutique and bridesmaids was equally gorgeous. I would recommended Diane to anyone getting married. Her work is exceptional and she is a lovely person. A true pleasure to work it.

We got married in October, and flowers a really important part of the vision for my wedding. Diane was referred to us by a friend who had used her, so we decided to work with her. Although I always knew I wanted tons of flowers at my wedding, I didn't exactly have an idea of WHAT I wanted. We had an Indian/American wedding, so there were lots of colors involved and the process was quite overwhelming. I decided to let Diane use her judgment on a lot of the decisions with the flowers and centerpieces, so to be perfectly honest, I was very nervous about what the flowers would look like on the day of the wedding. However, once I say all the bouquets and boutonnieres, I was amazed. I also wanted lanterns and bird cages hanging from the pergola we were married under. When I saw the final product Diane had put together, I was blown away. It was a magical experience to see my vision come to life through Diane's talent. I would definitely recommend Diane to anyone looking for a floral designer in the future.

We chose Diane to be our florist because of the attention to detail and wonderful ideas she had. Unfortunately, they didnt come to fruition on our special day. Although the flowers were absolutely beautiful, my bouquet was not cascading, the bouquets on the chairs looked like stemmed flowers quickly wrapped with a bow. The centerpieces were to have flowers hanging from them and the only two that had flowers, there were maybe six flowers. The low centerpieces were to have lots of texture, and did not. The cake table, Diane had "some great ideas" and wanted to "run with it", which I agreed to. The table had a vine around the cake, not what I expected. On our day she agreed that she diverted from what we agreed to. In our eyes, Diane was a big expense and we expected more. Maybe we werent the biggest paying customer, but we were a customer and we expected her to come through with what we agreed on. If you want to spend thousands of dollars for a florist, I am sure you will be pleased. But if you only have a few thousand dollars, I would find some one alot smaller who will fulfill your floral dreams. Also, please make sure your contract pays special attention to EVERY detail. We did not, and we dont have any recourse now.

Diane was wonderful to work with and has a ton of expertise and flexibility working with brides and couples varied visions and floral needs. I am happy we chose her and I would not go back on our choice, but we did have a bit of trouble every now and then with keeping in contact and being sure our vision was consistent with her planning. I did love meeting her in person and her energy is incredible infectious and it's hard not to get excited about planning when you're with her. She has wonderful ideas, not just about floral aspects, but all decor and can be a great resource for ideas.

Our only large complaint was that our flowers for the mothers, dads, and boutonnieres for the groomsmen were not delivered to the correct venue for our ceremony. We are not sure where the discrepancy occurred, but somehow they were lost in the shuffle, which was a downer, but did not disappoint us as her floral choices for the reception and bouquets were top-notch. Diane was also very apologetic, assuring us this is not normal, and refunded us rather quickly for missing out on the flowers. Overall, I'd recommend Diane to any couple looking for a wonderful, flexible florist.

I got married on October 5th, 2014. Diane is a very pleasant lady and based on her work on her website and her features in magazines, I had very high expectations, and truly thought that she would be able to capture my vision (especially since I provided her with photos of my vision). My expectations were NOT met, especially considering how expensive her services are!!!

After months of communicating with Diane about what I wanted, sending photos of ideas I had and speaking several times on the phone and meeting a few times at her house, I really thought she had a good grasp of what I wanted. Apparently she didn't!! I sent her a photo of EXACTLY how I wanted my bouquet to look, which was very romantic, light, and gardeny, with a few tiny tweaks, and got something completely off and totally different! I was very disappointed on the wedding day to receive that bouquet but there was nothing to do be done. Same with my bridesmaids bouquets; they were completely different from what we had discussed. She added purple roses in our bouquets when I requested light lavender (but I didn't want lavender roses, I wanted other lavender flowers or even lavender itself!) My centerpieces were very pretty and closer to what I had wanted, but again she added this purple in and it threw off the look completely. I also hoped that for the price the centerpieces would be bigger but they weren't. My Mandap (Chuppah) was pretty and was closer to expectations. But overall the price we paid and the value we got was disappointing. I had really hoped i would be able to see my gardeny, romantic vision on my wedding day with the flowers but this did not happen.

Not happy with Diane's lack of paying attention. The bridal bouquet was all wrong! Table flowers were beautiful. My biggest complaint is the cost. My other daughter's wedding flowers were all long stem red roses. The bill for her flowers came to almost $2000 less than Diane's contract, but one wedding was in New Jersey, the other in Connecticut, so I originally chalked it up to that. After the fact, I figured out why Diane is so expensive, and I write this review to warn others to question this before signing anything with her. My daughter wanted the table flowers to be placed in oversized martini glasses that would be filled with sliced lemons in water. Diane said she did not have martini glasses, so we accepted tall fluted vases, which was perfectly fine. Except what I didn't know, was that I was buying all the vases the flowers were in!!! Every other affair I ever made, the vases were rented, and the flowers sat in a small dish that would sit atop of the vase. The guests could remove the smaller dish to take the flowers home, and the florist would collect the glass vases to be reused. I was horrified when one guest asked for the flowers at the end of the affair and found that I could not remove just the flowers because the foam form just sat in the water at the top of the vase. We also had some smaller arrangements which were in smaller square glass vases. When I asked the caterer at the end if we needed to leave the glass, I was told no, take them, you paid for them!!! No wonder her cost is so much higher than other florists! If I knew we were paying for the vases, then we should at least have gotten the ones we originally wanted....the large oversized martini glasses.
I must say, the flowers were fresh and arranged well, so please do not think that we were unhappy with the outcome.....just wanted others to know for the future so you can plan accordingly.

Diane did a great job on bridal bouquet, bridesmaids and groom/groomsmen boutonnieres as well as advising us in all aspects of the wedding but as for the ideas we had discussed for the table centerpieces we were very disappointed to say the least! Looking back on our day the centerpieces were nowhere near what we had discussed except for some wreaths we had chosen. We did not have a huge budget for flowers but it was reasonable. We trusted her to make the flower decisions and we were not too happy with the execution. She put 3 or 4 calla lilies in one vase for some tables that was it! Our theme was Fall and our table clothes were red she put these ugly pink flowers in the vases, people were taking them off the table because they couldn't see over them! We had also discussed how many people were in our bridal/groom parties and the day of the wedding we were missing a bouquet! I am nearly positive that we had discussed prior to the wedding how many were in the parties although in the original contract we were down one bridesmaid, I know I had told her about the extra bridesmaid. She is a very high end florist I would not suggest going to her unless you have a big budget!
