  Nese and her wonderful team did the hair and makeup for my bridal party. Everyone looked absolutely stunning! The salon was easy to work with to schedule, they blocked off their schedule for the bridal party to come in the morning of the wedding, and even set up a cute breakfast spread! Top notch salon and I would highly recommend them for wedding parties (and everyday hair/beauty needs!). They are definitely my go-to stylists now!

  Nese and her team did my hair and make up along with 5 bridesmaids and even squeezed in my mom with little notification. Everything went so well and Nese did an AMAZING job on my hair. She made suggestions based on my hair-type and asked my bridesmaid's opinions on things before just moving forward with the style.
  Hazel did my makeup and did a wonderful job as well! I am very happy with the way everything turned out for the big day. I HIGHLY recommend Nese and her team.

  Nese and her team were amazing! They came on-site and did hair and make-up for myself and all of my bridesmaids. They were all so accommodating to everyone’s preferences and made us all feel beautiful! Nese and her team kept to schedule and provided tips for the placing and removing the veil- since I wasn’t going to wear it all night. I loved working and prepping with Nese that she’s become my new hairdresser!

  Wonderful. I'm clueless when it comes to makeup and hair. They came up with a beautiful look with pitifully minimal direction.. My bridesmaids (with wildly different hair types) looked glamorous. I was also done well on time. Couldn't have been more perfect.

  Nese is amazing. She duplicated a pinterest picture I brought in for my hair. Hazel did my makeup and it was perfect- not too heavy, natural but still striking enough for an evening wedding. My bridesmaids were also incredibly happy with their hair and makeup.
  
  We had a block of time where the salon was open only to my group (8-11 AM). Nese and her team put out snacks (chips, crackers, cheese, orange juice, fruit) for us and provided coffee. It was such an enjoyable morning!!!

  Nese takes her job so seriously and her passion for hair is tangible. Leading up to my wedding, I had appointments with her so that we could get my hair (and even my eyebrows) perfectly colored and cut for the wedding. I would definitely recommend her salon for updos, makeup, color or just a regular haircut.

  My daughter's wedding was perfect thanks to Nese and her staff. They created hairstyles that were perfect for each of the bridesmaids and the brides personalities. As mother of the bride I was unsure of what I wanted. Nese gave me a style that was very elegant. Our entire wedding party was complimented countless times. It was an outside wedding and over 90 degrees. Our hair was beautiful through the entire night. Thank you again Nese you are the best.

  Amazing service. First visit and definitely coming back. I've been looking for a salon like Is for a long time and finally found it. Taygun listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly the color I have been looking for and a super professional service.

  I would not recommend Current Salon and Color Bar... I had a hair and makeup trial with them and left feeling just "okay" about it. I only walked to the car and in to the bridal shop for a fitting after getting my hair and makeup done. My hair was already falling out all over!! This was very concerning since I planned to dance and move all around on my wedding day. Also, my hair really didn't look like the picture that I had shown my stylist.

I feel this is very unprofessional. Not only did she take me late, but no one ever came over and said "she's running late or she'll be a few more minutes, etc". I just sat there, starting to panic every minute that I was waiting. My hair held up okay on the wedding day. I did have bobby pins fall out during the reception and I kept having to push some back in throughout the night. The makeup was pretty and I liked it much better on my wedding day than my trial, but that was my fault b/c I didn't take pictures of makeup for my trial. They didn't have an eyelash curler b/c the one they had was broke and I guess no one thought to swing by Walgreens that morning and at least pick up a cheap one, knowing they were doing at least two bridal parties this day.

  Botched Perm & Hung Up On by Manager

  I received a perm on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Current Salon & Color. I showed my stylist several photos of long permed hair during my consultation and the day of my appointment. He explained that it was safe to do a perm to bleached hair, although it would damage it more and dry it out. I asked him if my hair would be just like the hair in the photos or at least very similar. He said that it would at least be very similar.   I received a perm on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Current Salon & Color. I showed my stylist several photos of long permed hair during my consultation and the day of my appointment. He explained that it was safe to do a perm to bleached hair, although it would damage it more and dry it out. I asked him if my hair would be just like the hair in the photos or at least very similar. He said that it would at least be very similar. I also added that I, “hate the wet, crunchy, crispy look more than anything, and as long as it looked nothing like that it should be good.” He laughed and agreed. Once my hair was permed and styled, it looked crispy and only had a slight wave to it, with the exception of very curly bangs. I had read that perms can take 24-48 hours for the curls to fully activate, and since it was still damp I hoped that once I gave the perm time to dry and activate, I would have my desired look. However, once I went home and waited a couple of hours, I realized that my hair was only starting to look worse and worse. I consulted my stylist (and an owner of a salon, this will become more relevant further down) in my home state and a lot of my friends. Everyone I consulted out of two hair stylists/owners in my home state and 19 (and counting) friends felt that I would be fully within my rights to request a full refund. I called Current Salon with my concerns, and was told by the receptionist that I would receive a call that evening from my stylist. I never received a call, so I called shortly after they closed at 8:15 PM. The receptionist answered and promised that I would receive a call in the morning. The morning of May 23rd, 2019, I waited until 40 minutes after Current opened and called. I spoke with the same receptionist. I told her that I would like to request a refund because my hair looked irreparably damaged and crunchy, with only odd kinks in it. I asked her if I could send her pictures of my hair so that my stylist and the manager/owner could see it and call me back as soon as possible. She said yes, provided me with an email address, and said that that I would receive a call back sometime just after 2:00 PM, when the owner/manager arrived. I sent the email but I never received a confirmation of receipt of the email. 2:00 PM came and went, so I called back later in the day around 6:00 PM, but no one answered. I called again the morning of May 24th, 2019, around 9:30 AM and spoke with a different receptionist. I told her that I needed to speak with a manager or the owner right away, and she said that they were not there and that she would have them call me. At this point I lost my patience and said, “I have been told the exact same thing 3 times now. Are you just saying this to say it or is something actually going to happen? At this point the only thing more disappointing than my botched perm is the customer service I have received… or lack thereof.” She told me that she was not just saying things for the sake of saying them, and that she would call the manager right now with me on hold if I wished. I asked her to do just that. She put me on hold and called the manager. After waiting 30 seconds or so, she told me that she could not get ahold of the manager, but expected him to call back quickly once he saw a missed called from the salon and she would call me when she got ahold of him. We hung up and she called back around only 15 minutes later! She said that I could expect to hear from him in the morning or early afternoon. This interaction with this receptionist was the first time I felt like there was any genuine concern for my request to speak to someone that could discuss a refund. Around noon on May 24th, 2019, I received a call from Ryan, the manager/owner. When he called, he did not ask how I was, and was immediately on the defensive. He told me that he thought I was "really reaching" to ask for a full refund and told me my “approach was all wrong”. I asked him if he saw my photos and surely he did not think my botched hair was to his salon’s standards. He ignored me and said he "was going to offer an $80.00 conditioning service to help restore the hair for free," but no longer was because of me telling his stylist that they have the worst customer service. I told him that I never said that (I didn't, I said that the only thing more disappointing than my perm was the customer service), and then raised his voice and said that he and his wife were off yesterday and that my complaint of poor customer service was inaccurate due to me only having to wait a couple of days and that he was off work. He also said that my stylist told him that he warned me that my hair could have an overly dry look due to the bleach. Correct! My stylist did not, however, say that my hair would look like I spent the weekend at a music festival on the beach. I told Ryan that I found it ironic that he, an alleged “professional” business owner, was talking to me in the manner that he was while trying to defend his customer service, and that it was not unreasonable whatsoever to request that my payment of $190.00 (not including a 20% tip) be fully refunded considering the fact that my hair looks literally nothing like what I requested, and sustained irreversible damage in the process. Ryan then proceeded to sarcastically say, "Good luck to you," repeated that he thought I was unreasonable in my request due to me saying his salon had the worst customer service (Again, I never said that… and he also never seemed concerned whatsoever about the botched hair, for the record) and HUNG UP on me.
  
  I am not going to name my stylist because he seemed to be a very kind person with a great resume regarding cuts and color… perhaps just not with perms on long hair.
