I cannot say enough good things about Curled + Contoured! From the very beginning, Kathy and Janais were incredibly kind and knowledgeable, putting me completely at ease with their expertise. They are truly the best team to work with.
They made the entire day so much fun and ensured everything turned out absolutely beautiful. It’s rare to find a team that is not only talented but also such amazing people to be around. They brought such a positive energy to the day and really listened to what I wanted, bringing the vision to life perfectly. Excellent!
Mia with Curled & Contoured was wonderful and did my makeup for both my engagement photos and wedding. She took the feedback from our engagement shoot (of which there was very little) and created a look that was natural and made me feel comfortable during the day. She even provided a dive after the engagement photo on what kinds of skin care products I could use to help with my dry skin in between the engagement and the wedding. Couldn’t recommend more! -

Wow I cannot speak highly enough of Curled + Contoured! Highly recommend. Right from the start, I appreciated their clear communication, energy and thoughtfulness. Janais is absolutely amazing! She put me at ease early on as I worked through the logistics for my wedding day and vision for my hair, provided recommendations and checklists, took such great care bringing the vision to life trying out different things during my trial and was so understanding when I asked to add a couple additional ladies within a few weeks of the day. Day-of, Janais arrived right on time, ready to go and flawlessly styled my mother-in-law, 3 bridesmaids and me, keeping us on time with touchups and all. We couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out! Huge bonus for how it held up as we danced the night away as well! Kathy and Janais were absolute rockstars and made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. Both my hair and makeup were exactly what I wanted them to be: Elevated, natural, and beautiful. I felt like me, but the best version of myself. I got to keep my natural curl pattern (without the frizz) and I achieved the bronze-y glow-y look I was after. Plus, everything held up all night (despite wind, sun, and rain)! Curled + Contoured also made my mom, MIL, and SIL feel so beautiful with their glam. I cannot say enough great things about this team. They delivered exactly what I wanted and more and were absolute pleasures to work with. I highly, highly recommend them! -

To Kathy and Janais -- thank you so much for taking care of me, my mom, and my MIL on my wedding day! We have spent several nights going over the photos and reliving the night, and feeling beautiful and like myself made the photos really sparkle.
The day went by so quickly, we are incredibly grateful for that I got to start the day with both of you. Your professionalism, sense of fun, and ability to make each of our visions for our looks come to life made the start of the day so positive. I could not be happier with how my hair and make up turned out -- especially given how challenging styling curly hair can be! Not only was the look perfect for photos before our ceremony, but my hair and makeup lasted all night long into the wee hours of the morning. C+C also gave us a touchup kit for our lipstick, though I honestly didn't need it!
I have already recommended you to my friends getting married next year and will whole-heartedly recommend C+C to any bride in the future.

C+C is amazing!! From the very beginning they were so friendly and welcoming. I don't usually wear a lot of makeup so I was a bit overwhelmed by the process of booking HMU - but they made everything seamless, even when I added on a few people for hair/makeup rather close to my wedding! Arami did an incredible job with my makeup - it felt very beautiful and natural, and she really listened when I asked to tweak a few things after my trial. Katherine was also amazing with my hair - it looked like a dream!! All my friends looked and felt awesome :) also random, but I left a sentimental water bottle at their studio after my trial and they were so sweet about getting to back to me. Highly recommend C+C!! -

Kathy and Nicole made me feel like an absolute princess on my wedding day. It was very important to me to wear my natural curls at my wedding, but I was stressed because not everyone works well with curly hair. However, Nicole brought my tousled curly up do vision to life! Kathy is brilliant with her craft and enhances your natural beauty to the next level. My friends were also so pleased with how their hair and make up turned out. Knowing that they could do such a good job with curly hair it even inspired one of my friends to do a curly up do as well! Kathy and Janais are my dream glam team! On my wedding day, they created such a relaxed and positive vibe during glam. More importantly, everyone was thrilled with how it turned out - especially me (and my husband)!

What is equally impressive, was their ability to get 15 women through hair and makeup in the short time that we had in the bridal suite. I would like to start this review by saying I was so in love with the look Janais + Naila created that I refused to remove my makeup until the next day and even after removing the bobby pins for my hair, kept the style until we got to our honeymoon destination!! From the very first call, I knew C+C would be a perfect fit. As someone who didn’t know the exact look she was going for, they let me ask questions, try things out in the trial and change them in real time, all while being the most fun to chat with and making me laugh. On the wedding day, they showed up right on time and created the perfect set up in our tiny room. They made everyone in my wedding party (of varying skin tones and hair types) feel beautiful. While I’ve already touched on how pleased I was with my look I have to mention it again. Through tears, sweat, smiles and honestly lots of jumping, EVERYTHING stayed on. I felt just as pretty at the end of the day as I did at the start. I couldn’t be more grateful for Janais + Naila and what they did for my and my wedding party. I hope you choose them too! -

Curled + Contoured was everything I could have dreamt of from a hair/makeup stylist! I have naturally curly hair, and I felt very strongly that I wanted to wear my natural curls on my wedding day. I was incredibly nervous trying to find a hair/makeup stylist I could trust for this, but Eduardo (my hair stylist) and Kathy (my makeup artist) made me feel so comfortable and confident in my trial. They did my hair and makeup on my wedding day, and I was so happy with the results- I was admiring my reflection all day! Nicole came to help out with hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and family the morning of the wedding, and everyone's final looks ended up beautiful, and everyone felt amazing. I could not have asked for a better HMU team! They were professional, kind, so easy to work with, and we even stayed completely on schedule for the entire morning. Whether you have naturally curly hair or not, you are in fantastic hands choosing Curled + Contoured. My wife and I worked with Nicole, Kathy, and Katherine for hair and makeup during our wedding. We absolutely loved their work! All three stylists made us, as well as our bridesmaids, feel comfortable and beautiful throughout the process. They worked easily and quickly. They were also communicative from the moment we reached out to them to the wedding day itself.
Nicole, Kathy, and Katherine were professional, kind, and listened to us as we described our visions for our wedding looks. I have very curly hair and, in the past, hair stylists often are unsure how to style my hair and it often doesn't turn out the way I wanted to. However, Nicole listened to my concerns and styled my hair better than anyone ever has in my life. We are so thankful for the Curled and Contoured team for helping us enjoy our wedding day! -

Excellent Choice!
Curled + Contoured was recommended to me by my wedding planner for my make-up and I’m so glad I booked them. I had the pleasure of working with Kathy & Nicole for my big day! The ladies were punctual, professional, and listened attentively to my girls, glamming them all to perfection! I had a total of 13 ladies (including myself) and Kathy & Nicole started bright and early and finished us on time! With no hiccups! Their work is versatile, they accommodated my ladies that typically wear little to no make up and fully glammed out myself and a few other ladies that wanted a more sparkly or dramatic look. Everyone was pleased with their faces, and we received many compliments!! A testament to their outstanding work, is that our make up lasted ALL DAY!! We started at 6:50 AM and the ceremony didn’t start until 6:30 PM. Thank you ladies!! -

I didn't know I could look that good! Katherine and Nicole really did their thing on my wedding day and I am so grateful to them for it! They took my notes from the trial and made sure that everything was perfect. I got married on a 90+ degree day so they had a tough job making sure my face didn't melt and my hair didn't frizz up, but they worked their magic and I absolutely loved how everything came out. I felt so relaxed and comfortable around them. Trust me, you'll feel like a goddess after they're done with you! -

We worked with Curled and Contoured for our wedding in January of 2024 and were SO happy we did! Our wedding involved two bridal makeups and 13 other hair and makeup appointments so they had their work cut out for them — and they did an amazing job!! Kathy, Eduardo, Mia, Nicole, Katherine and Naila were all SO talented, fun, kind, inclusive, and responsive to what we all wanted. Each of our wedding party members wanted different things and all of them were so happy with their different looks. Most of all, each of the artists made everyone (from people who love getting their makeup done to those who hate it to everyone in between) feel comfortable and like the best version of themselves. The Curled + Contoured team were also so fun to have join us and made everything feel extra festive and exciting on the day of the wedding!! We can’t recommend them highly enough. If you are considering C+C for your wedding, LOOK NO FURTHER! They were recommended to me by a few former brides, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The quality, professionalism, timeliness, and friendliness far surpassed my expectations!
From our first point of contact, these girls were so easy to work with and it was as if we were friends. They put a timeline together based on my wedding party and schedule, and were very flexible when last minute changes needed to happen. I sent them inspiration pictures for my vision, and they absolutely delivered!!!
I had Janais for hair and Kathy for makeup, and we also had Mia and Nicole doing the wedding party. During my trial, Janais and Kathy couldn't have been better - we laughed, gossiped, and just chit chatted as if we had known each other for years. They made me super comfortable during the process, and my hair and makeup was absolutely perfect. It kept perfectly all night too.
On wedding day, the team showed up right on time and got to work, sticking to the timeline we created. The conversation flowed, and they helped make that morning a blast. There is nothing better than having a fun atmosphere on wedding day, and these 4 helped make it great! Once Janais was done with my hair, I was confident that it would hold all night - and it did! I hired Kathy for 4 extra hours of makeup touch ups, and couldn't be happier I did. She was off to the side for all of the big moments - the first look, vows, etc., and was right there to touch me up. Such a great decision for any criers like me!
I couldn't recommend C+C more for any hair and makeup needs - they will make sure you look and feel your absolute best! -

We worked with Mia and Janais for our makeup/hair and everyone looked amazing and super natural. We had a bit of a chaotic working space with a toddler and all the chaos that comes with that and Mia and Janais kept everything moving at a great pace and made sure everyone got the attention they needed. My mom even hopped in for some makeup at the end since everyone who came out of Mia's chair looked amazing. The hair and makeup held up all night (despite a TON of dancing and even an outfit change from my sister) and everyone looked awesome from start to finish. I'd recommend working with them! -

One word comes to mind when thinking of my experience with Curled and Contoured: PERFECTION!
From the first reach out, to my trial, to the big day, the incredible ladies at Curled and Contoured were incredible. I LOVED my trial hair and makeup. They did two hair styles (one for my trial hair for the wedding and one for my boudoir shoot later that day). A few weeks before the wedding I added a few girls to the list of who needed hair and makeup and Janais and Kathy were immediately on top of bringing in another artist, Naila, to help on the big day. Everyone in the party LOVED their hair and makeup (a bunch of my friends reached out to Kathy afterwards asking what makeup products were used because they were so obsessed with their looks). I’m hoping for any excuse in the future to work with Janais, Kathy, or Naila again. My hair and make up lasted through the wedding AND the entire after party with only a few lip stick retouches in between (I’ve been in seven weddings in the past two years and I have had to re apply make up/touch up my hair several times at every single one for reference). Not only are they incredibly professional and talented, they are also so fun and have the best personalities. Look no further for your hair and make up needs. Booked Curled and Contoured ASAP -

Kathy, Katherine and Janais were AMAZING. They arrived on time, were super nice and made sure the girls and I were comfortable. I chose curled + contoured for my wedding hair and makeup and I could not be happier!! Kathy and Janais did an amazing job and went above and beyond during the trial to make sure I felt comfortable with my glam. I remember coming in without a ton of inspo pics and just explained to them what I wanted and they absolutely killed it. They are also extremely professional and are so quick to respond - I couldn’t have made a better decision on glam than curled + contoured! All of my friends that got their glam done on wedding day also loved their look. Not to mention my glam lasted all day - it still looked great when the night ended at 1am! They are glam magicians and I can’t wait until I have another big occasion to book them again.
I have nothing more to say except that if you are debating on who to pick for your glam especially for your wedding book curled + contoured ASAP! Kathy and Janais are awesome! -

If you are reading this and debating booking C+C: DO IT!! Kathy and Janais are lovely people. They made me feel comfortable the second I walked in for my hair and makeup trial, answered all of my questions, and gave me great resources and recommendations for pre-wedding hair and skincare. I let them know in advance about some insecurities and hesitations I had regarding having my hair done, and they handled it with nothing short of professionalism, grace, and kindness. Their communication via email is quick, friendly, and detailed. I knew exactly what they needed for our getting ready suite, and what I needed to have on hand for my big day. Not only are Kathy and Janais lovely people to work with who bring awesome energy into the room, but they are artists in the truest sense of the word. I wanted to look like myself even though I was in full glam, and they totally nailed it. My hair and makeup was exactly as I had envisioned it for my wedding day! My hair, makeup, lashes, everything lasted all night on the dance floor. My bridesmaids looked amazing as well. I just cannot say enough about Kathy of Curled + Contoured. She was so fabulous to work with! I was nervous for wedding makeup, as it tends to be heavy, but she gave me a natural glow with the exact eye makeup I wanted that lasted ALL. DAY. LONG. I had my makeup done at 7am and it lasted through the night! My sisters were also nervous about heavy makeup and she made sure to give them a light but gorgeous application. They were so happy with it! Kathy is kind, fun, and will make alll your wedding day stress go away. I cannot recommend her enough! -

When best friends start a business together, the result is magic. Kathy, Janais, & Katherine are an INCREDIBLE team and 100% a crew that sets a fun/calm vibe for your wedding morning. I met Kathy & Janais back when I hired them for my engagement shoot in September 2021. Since then, they've given me excellent advice throughout the planning process (ie. extensions, styles etc...) On the day, they were a well oiled machine, keeping us on schedule without causing us to feel rushed. My mom rarely wears make-up and she was so comfortable and thrilled with how her H&MU came out. Katherine killed it with my bridesmaids, taking their inspo pictures and turning them into reality. Our glam lasted all night and I want to do it all over again! Thank you, Thank you! -

I first went to Janais after striking out with a bad hair trial for my wedding. As soon as I met her and sat in her chair, I knew she would be a great match to do my wedding hair. Janais will effortlessly execute your vision and listen to your thoughts and concerns. Importantly, at both my hair trial and on my wedding day, Janais was so helpful in talking through what looked good or what might make a hair style look even better. I also wore extensions for my wedding day, which I had never done before. Janais recommended a few convenient places to get the extensions and told me exactly how many I'd need for my hair type and desired style.
For my wedding, I wore my hair curled in a half-up and half-down style. I have long, thick hair, and a lot of it. I am not exaggerating when I say that my hair did not move a millimeter the entire day/night and my curls were just as in tact by 2am as they were when freshly curled. This was the case even though my wedding was on a July summer's day and I was bouncing up and down the dance floor all evening.
Janais is also experienced with a multitude of hair styles and hair types. For example, my hair is chemically straight through Japanese straightening whereas my sister wears her hair naturally curly. Janais styled both of our hair types with ease and both looked great.
Finally, Janais is warm, easy-going, professional, and a pleasure to be around. Even though we had only met once before my wedding day, she made me feel special and brought the celebratory spirit for when I was getting ready. I was happy to have her amongst my closest friends and family on my wedding day. Trust Janais-- you won't be disappointed! -

I was so glad I chose Curled and Contoured for my wedding day. I have very straight hair and had been told when I was in other weddings that it couldn’t hold a curl, but Janais rose to the challenge and gave me a beautiful wavy style that lasted all night! I particularly appreciated that both Janais and Kathy gave me a few options during the trial so that I could experiment with a range of looks and feel extra secure day-of. Also, as a plus - both of them were a delight to be around and helped keep me and my whole crew de-stressed and laughing all morning. They kept to a tight schedule without making us feel anxious, and were even able to accommodate my mom as a day-of addition which she really appreciated. Would definitely recommend C&C to anyone looking for wedding glam. -

Kathy and Janais were amazing to work with! From my trial last year to my wedding day, they made me feel super comfortable and ensured that I was happy with every detail of my makeup and hairstyle. I was a little worried before my trial about my hair, thinking I might need to straighten it, but Janais was a pro at working with my super kinky-coily hair. Even though it sprinkled a little on my wedding day, my hair kept well throughout the evening! Kathy was able to match my skintone perfectly and helped me pick out a beautiful, bright pink lipstick to match my personality. :) Both ladies are so warm and kind; they were also very attentive to our wedding party's needs, various hair types, and various skintones. I'm so glad that I booked with them! -

Highly recommend Curled + Contoured for your wedding hair and makeup - Kathy and Janais were wonderful for my recent wedding in Brooklyn. They are both incredibly talented but also just so fun and great to talk to and get ready with on the morning of my wedding. Getting glammed up with them was so low stress and had me laughing instead of feeling anxious on the morning of the wedding. I looked and felt beautiful. My hair and makeup lasted all day and night! My hair even looked great when I woke up the next morning! -

Where to begin! I truly can't imagine my wedding without Kathy and Janais being a part of it. They are the best hype women and their dynamic together offers such calming and positive energy to the room while everyone is getting ready.
