Absolutely Perfect!
Jason and his team were our first and only choice for our wedding catering! We knew we wanted a food truck meets fine dining vibe..but we never expected we'd find something as amazing as Curiocity!! Jason was incredible to work with. He was so easy to communicate with, very responsive, and helpful in making our food choices. Not only that, but he stuck with us for two years while we rescheduled for COVID. Now the food..oh my gosh, the food!! Our guests could not stop raving about how delicious everything was and our biggest regret was not having extra room in our stomachs to eat more!! If you're having any doubts, don't! Easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Thank you, Jason, for everything! You truly helped give us the wedding of our dreams!Jason and his team were our first and only choice for our wedding catering! Exceptional Service!
Our experience with Jason and Curiocity Catering was exceptional!!! From beginning to end, everything worked out pretty smoothly because Jason’s energy was easy to work with. Jason and his team were super professional, on time, very fast workers and very friendly people. Jason is very passionate about his work and it shows in the food. The food was super tasty and all of our guest loved the food! It was overall a pretty amazing, stress-free and impressive experience and we highly recommend Jason and Curiocity Catering!Our experience with Jason and Curiocity Catering was exceptional!!! We can't get enough of Curiocity!
I am behind in writing reviews, but it's still important to sing the praises of Jason and his team. We got married just before things shut down in March 2020. We knew we wanted a food truck, found Curiocity, and set up a tasting. The food was incredible, and we hired them right away. We were unsure how the food would scale up, if there would be enough food to fill our guests up, and what the logistics of food service would be like during our reception, but we had no reason to worry. Jason made sure we our guests were happy and full and was super accommodating of changes and dietary restrictions. We even hired him to do our bartending. Curiocity takes pride in their work, and it shows. We are so glad we hired them.
Here's how much we loved Curiocity's food and service: We tracked them down a year later for an anniversary lunch! Jason was amazingly accommodating. He treats clients like family. The food was just as good as we remembered (and we learned there are new and exciting additions to the menu... Lucky for all you wedding planners!). Excellent!
We had a backyard wedding. We wanted it to be causal and elegant at the same time. CurioCity Catering completely understood our vibe and was able to create a catering experience that was just that. Choosing a venue space that is not specifically made for wedding can be tricky and because of this we had to rely on our caterer for multiple services. Jason’s team was our caterer, our bartenders, they helped convert the space from ceremony to reception, they cleared the tables, they took care of all of our barware and utensils. Side note**We choose to use the verterra fallen leaf dinnerware which looks almost like a rustic bamboo. Loved this! It’s biodegradable and looks amazing. Jason’s teams service was all around excellent. Beyond the service, the food was incredible. We loved everything at our food tasting. It was actually hard to pick which items because everything was so good. We ended up going with the sliders, lamp chops, max&cheese, and strawberry goat cheese salad. So good! We were very happy with our experience and highly recommend!

We hired Curiocity Catering for our wedding and we are so happy we did! When we fist tried their slider and truffle fries we were sold! Jason was easy to work with through the whole process of planning the menu and amounts. Everything went super smooth the day of our wedding, and everyone LOVED the food! People could not stop talking about how good it was! Jason and staff did such a great job serving the food and making it very personal.. Jason even took the initiative to walk around and serve the extra sliders to people! We would highly recommend!

We had Curiocity cater our wedding just under a week ago and it was OUTSTANDING! First and foremost, the food is incredible. Diverse but cohesive, delicious but not heavy, adventurous but comforting. But Curiocity was even more than their amazing food. Their customer service, accommodating "can-do" attitude and attention and care allocated to the client is nothing short of exceptional. When I first starting planning our destination wedding, I had a vision, an idea of the wedding I wanted. I wanted a very specific food truck which would help set the tone for the "outdoorsy/backyard BBQ" style wedding I was going for. Curiocity helped my vision come to fruition. We worked with Shawnta from day one (and even brought her on as our coordinator) and they were absolutely great. Curiocity worked with us to get the price within our budget but still accommodated everything we wanted: apps, water station, coffee station, cheeseburgers and one of the best orders of french fries I've ever had- and don't get me started on their Strawberry salad! We did service from the truck and it was so much fun. Our guests loved it! We received so many compliments on how good the food was. Our guests even went as far as taking selfies with their favorite cheese! Curiocity was everything I wanted. Not only did Jason come and congratulate us before the truck took off but Curiocity even surprised us with the appetizer we really wanted (but had to cut due to costs). We had no idea until the day of- a fantastic surprise! They are professional, delicious and I would 100% recommend them. When we go back to San Diego to visit, we will definitely look them up to see if we can stop by for lunch. We had Curiocity cater our wedding last month and it was everything I could have imagined! As a passionate foodie this was the perfect blend of healthy, vibrant, innovative cuisine prepared with passion. Jason helped us design a menu that our guests were completely wowed with! One of my favourites, the parmesan truffle fries were a huge hit. In addition to a beautiful dinner we had a gorgeous cheese board and a few late night offerings. All you brides out there looking for the perfect food experience for your big day...Curiocity Catering will not disappoint!!We had Curiocity cater our wedding last month and it was everything I could have imagined! We were lucky to have so many amazing vendors help us out to make our wedding as fantastic as it was. CurioCity was crucial to that effort. The menu was spot on, the truck was clean and attractive, they fed 150 guests no problem, and the biodegradable dishes were perfect. They also stepped up at the last minute to help us with appetizers and bartenders for our cocktail hour. Yummy!We were lucky to have so many amazing vendors help us out to make our wedding as fantastic as it was. CurioCity was crucial to that effort. This review is long overdue! My husband and I got married on 09/17/16 at Milagro Farms Winery and Curiocity Catering catered our wedding. Let me tell you, they were a hit! We had so many of our guests rave about the food, especially the sliders. Our family is used to corden bleu or just the general wedding food, so having a food truck was awesome! People went back for seconds, people posed with the food in the photo booth, and overall our guests were happy!

Working with Curiocity was a breath of fresh air! They were punctual, professional, and extremely accommodating. Curiocity provided a menu each day that would accommodate guest's food sensitivities and needs. Shawnta, Jason, and Yazzy worked closely with us to ensure that the menu was suitable to our needs and that the service process was well organized. We were extremely happy to find out that they were able to provide an entire Gluten Free menu! Jason and Yazzy were personable and down to earth which allowed us and the guests to feel comfortable with asking questions. The food was absolutely superb! ** Be sure to ask about the Sliders, Jidori Chicken Tacos, and the Risotto!** I am so happy that we were able to work together on this event and I'm looking forward to many more in the future. Curiocity is also a preferred vendor for our wedding venue. Don't be fooled by the food truck. These guys are full service at our weddings and offer bartending staff, service staff and event coordination if needed. They have repeatedly gone over and above at every event and are a wonderful vendor team member. Jason and his team mates are also some of nicest, friendliest people you could ever meet. The food is delicious, hot and fresh every time. Every menu item has been elevated from the sliders, amazing salad, parmesan fries, lamb pops (my favorite), everything is delish. I highly recommend Curiocity Catering to anyone wanting to give their guests beautiful, locally sourced and "above the ordinary" food and event staff.This review is way overdue. My family hired Curiocity Catering for my baby shower last August. Jason was very responsive and help us pick up the perfect menu for our tea party theme baby shower. Hiring curiocity catering was the best decision we could have made for our wedding!
Shawnta is a PLEASURE to work with. She was always super responsive from my first inquiry, very easy to contact and work with. She promptly gave me some baseline prices, answered all my questions about logistics and helped me set up a tasting.
The tasting was PHENOMENAL. They make the absolute best food. The Pink Lady Salad is to die for. The chicken tacos are delicious. Their sliders are the best I've ever had, and their truffle parmesan fries are just incredible - no ketchup needed.
After the testing booking them was a given. The prices quoted were incredibly reasonable, and even included these awesome disposable wooden plates and utensils that fit our rustic wedding perfectly! We even added an Ahi appetizer sight unseen to the list.
The day of the wedding they did not disappoint. They arrived and parked at our venue and got to work, by the end of the ceremony they were ready with appetizers. Their servers were friendly and fast - ensuring everyone got to try the appetizers. It was all as good as I remembered from the tasting. Then they quickly served all 65 people at the wedding. Cleaned up and they were gone - not a trace, no disaster in the kitchen! I don't know why anyone would hire a normal caterer when they could hire an awesome food truck like Curiocity!
Shawnta was such a pleasure to have at the wedding, she made our day even brighter. She even kept us on task and reminded me when it was time to serve dinner and cut the cake. Shawnta is a PLEASURE to work with. She was always super responsive from my first inquiry, very easy to contact and work with. She promptly gave me some baseline prices, answered all my questions about logistics and helped me set up a tasting.
The tasting was PHENOMENAL. They make the absolute best food. The Pink Lady Salad is to die for. The chicken tacos are delicious. Their sliders are the best I've ever had, and their truffle parmesan fries are just incredible - no ketchup needed.
After the testing booking them was a given. The prices quoted were incredibly reasonable, and even included these awesome disposable wooden plates and utensils that fit our rustic wedding perfectly! We even added an Ahi appetizer sight unseen to the list.
The day of the wedding they did not disappoint. They arrived and parked at our venue and got to work, by the end of the ceremony they were ready with appetizers. Their servers were friendly and fast - ensuring everyone got to try the appetizers. It was all as good as I remembered from the tasting. Then they quickly served all 65 people at the wedding. Cleaned up and they were gone - not a trace, no disaster in the kitchen! I don't know why anyone would hire a normal caterer when they could hire an awesome food truck like Curiocity!
Shawnta was such a pleasure to have at the wedding, she made our day even brighter. She even kept us on task and reminded me when it was time to serve dinner and cut the cake. We were looking for a fun alternative to a formal sit-down dinner at our outdoor wedding this past October. We wanted something different, something hip, and DELICIOUS!
We had the pleasure of trying Curiocity Catering at a friend's wedding the following year and the food was DELICIOUS! Everything is so flavorful! It was nice to see that even though a year had past since the last time we had the food, the value and flavor did not!
When I contacted Jason I told him our budget and he worked with us to make sure we got everything we wanted and stayed within our budget. Exceptional customer service!!! He made us feel comfortable and important throughout the whole process!

These guys catered my wedding and the food was off the charts! Its unlike any other way to have your wedding catered. The food is made fresh on site in their super cool looking truck. The food from Curiocity really speaks for itself. They do all sorts of catering for events and weddings. Jason and his staff catered our 100-person wedding. It was perfect and everyone loved the food. Our wedding was semi-formal / black tie optional, and they accomodated us perfectly. The guests especially loved that it was different than the usual fork-and-knife "chicken or beef" type food. Jason is also very flexible in getting staff and bartenders and doing whatever services you need (cleanup, water, etc). Wow, I have entirely too much to say about Curiocity Catering considering they nailed every aspect I was looking for in catering my wedding. I had been on a food truck quest and I have to say it was really difficult to find the right catering business in Southern California who was experienced, affordable (for 250+ guests), had a modern & artistic aesthetic, and offered QUALITY food, that is until I first talked to Jason, who manages the Curiocity food truck. From the first phone call to the initial food tasting, to the wedding night. I kid you not: Curiocity Catering was perfect in every way. First and foremost, the food was an-out-of-the-ball-park homerun! All of my guests were raving about & saying how FRESH & DELICIOUS the food was. Due to the nature of my wedding, I was going for a more casual & laidback vibe. The food truck was an absolute necessity. However, the food that Curiocity provided was better than a formal "sit-down-and be-served" kind of dinner. The menu Jason put together met every foodie's needs (carnivores, vegetarians, pescatarians, etc). Even people who are used to formal sit down dinner weddings were wow'ed by the food at mine. It was also much more experiential because my guests could go up to the food truck and order their food, or to the other stations offering more variety. Jason & his team are all about exceptional service and they were friendly, efficient, and made the food looked visually beautiful. As far as aesthetic goes which I am a huge fan of, the Curiocity Food Truck looks modern, clean, and artistic. It is not too busy with flamboyant artwork, and the team does a good job of adding small details (plants, lighting, etc.) to make it look pleasing to the eye. They even use awesome plateware which is eco-friendly and stylish, sustainable disposable dinnerware. My husband and I contacted Curiocity Catering because of the amazing reviews and the great food. We really wanted our guests to have the experience of ordering directly from the food truck, which was a really fun and unexpected element for many of our out of town guests.
Now, I work in the wedding industry, and have high expectations, and am probably not the easiest bride Jason's ever worked with. That said, he worked with me on customizing several options, and adding a few things that weren't in their normal repertoire. We had guests with a multitude of food issues: gluten free, gluten and lactose free, nut allergies, gluten free and vegan, vegetarian with paprika and squash allergies...I mean, it's a lot. Jason took all my food concerns in stride, and made sure that every guest had something to eat. And not just 'something,' something good. We were told that the fries were the best some people had ever had, and I would happily eat those jdori chicken tacos any day. This is not standard wedding food.
We were concerned about people being fed in a timely manner, but this really wasn't an issue. Our coordinator advised us to excuse our guests table by table to cut down on long lines and a free for all, and this worked really well. Everyone seemed happy and well-fed.
We also used Curiocity for our bar service. They handled our specialty cocktail requests without any problem, and did so efficiently enough that there never was a long wait. And, the drinks were gooood.
Clean up was taken care of, primarily, by the Curiocity staff, and I never noticed any mess.

First and foremost... the whole menu is AMAZING! My mouth is watering as I write this review. Curiocity catered our wedding and our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was. My husband and I love food trucks and are quite foodies, so this added a perfect personal touch to our wedding reception. We had an outdoor wedding, so it was the perfect mix of casual yet elegantly prepared food. We also loved that they use organic and sustainable ingredients that are sourced locally. For cocktail hour the staff tray passed ahi tuna and prepared a chef's charcuterie table. For dinner we had the brandt beef sliders, parmesan truffle fries, deadliest catch (seafood) risotto and the strawberry seduction salad. mmmmm MMH! Despite how busy a wedding reception can be, my husband and I made sure to actually sit down and enjoy every bite. I am so glad we did!
Jason was incredibly friendly and flexible throughout the planning and day of. Pricing is great, and quite reasonable for the fantastic quality of the food. Keep in mind that they are quite busy, so he may take a bit to respond to emails and phone calls. (for all you type-As out there) However, I never had a concern about whether or not the service would be good. There was a slight time miscommunication at the reception, but it was quickly and discreetly resolved between their staff and our coordinator.
