Great photographer

Hiring the right photographer for your wedding is one of the most challenging aspects to wedding planning.
My wife and I were married this past May 31st and we hired Josh to photograph our beautiful event. His fee was worth every penny we spent.
He is friendly yet professional. He listened to us as clients and captured everything we were looking for. He is a proficient and highly capable photographer with a wonderful and highly developed creative eye. In the end, both of us considered him a welcomed guest at our wedding and not just a hired vendor.
There are alot of folks out there shooting weddings with "eh" results. When you hire Josh your getting a true professional who loves what he does. I can't recommend him enough.

The Perfect Proposal

I hired Josh to photograph our proposal. I came in with a general plan, but it was he who really helped to refine the details, from where to stand, to the best path of approach, and at what time of day the lighting would be best. His expertise really elevated what was always to going to be a great moment, to a truly amazing one. Thanks so much, Josh. We will always love our incredible photos.

Best Possible Choice

Josh is a wonderful, talented photographer. His work is just beautiful – artistic, painterly, thoughtful. He is also a gentleman – unfailingly polite, good humored, very diligent, unobtrusive, and patient beyond reason. It was a pleasure to work with him. Can not say enough fantastic things

I can not write enough fantastic things to tell you how absolutely AMAZING Josh was. Before the wedding, we had 2-3 phone conversations during which Josh provided a timeline of the day, gave us tips about how to make the day go smoothly (both regarding photos and other things), AND got to know us as people. During this phone conversations it was VERY obvious that Josh was well versed in the wedding day and would make the day great. On our wedding day, Josh and his second photographer, Danny, made us feel like superstars. Josh and Danny were SO fun to work with, were SO friendly (Josh gave me his jacket when it was very cold), were funny, relaxed, happy, professional, and again, just overall amazing. None of our pictures felt posed, they all felt perfectly natural because they made us feel so comfortable. During the reception, Josh and Danny were perfectly hidden, but also so available whenever there was a group of people we wanted a picture of. Just before he left, Josh took us outside for a few more private photos to get the perfect sun setting lighting and we are SO grateful for that. Again, can not say enough wonderful things about our amazing experience with Josh.

Outstanding photographer

Josh is an incredible photographer and a great guy. He did our engagement shoot in October 2020 and then our two day wedding in July 2021. He was flexible with dates and costs after we had to move our wedding date and change a lot of details due to COVID. Our photographs are simply astounding and everyone who has seen them cannot stop complimenting the final product. For those of you who are celebrating multiple cultures like we did (Indian and Irish Catholic), Josh handled all of our special requests and brought a team of photographers who were knowledgeable about our respective traditions, which really helped! Very importantly, he treated us like friends, had a positive attitude, and provided so much support during the entire planning process. Josh's extensive wedding experience becomes immediately clear - he did so much more than just take photos. He got to know us, made sure he understood our priorities, helped with the overall event timeline, provided really helpful documents to help organize and prioritize our photos, and truly was an integral part of the entire event's execution. You won't find that with every photographer, and we are so happy that we went with Josh.

Do not hesitate - hire this man to be your photographer! You will not regret it. All of the five star reviews, including this one, are legit.

Amazing all around!

Josh was amazing throughout the whole process. He was extremely helpful and thoughtful in terms of outlining the schedule for the day and making sure we were thinking about the right things. Awesome team, great pictures!

Josh and his team were very professional and were a pleasure to work with. We were really worried about getting a photographer that got in the way of the ceremony, or wouldn't listen to what we wanted. Josh and his team were none of that. And the pictures were great!

My husband and I got married in summer 2018 and couldn't have been more thrilled with our decision to use Josh, Jamie and team from Cuppek Photography. A good friend of ours referred Josh to us (and two additional couples we know who are now using them), and we could not be more grateful for that word of mouth review - so consider this review as good as word of mouth :) Josh made our whole wedding planning experience so easy and stress free. When we first met him to talk about the wedding, we booked him on the spot because my whole family was so impressed with Josh's passion, talent, and caliber of character. He was so helpful from the very beginning when I was selecting a venue and talking through his experiences at different places. You can tell right away that he cares about the quality of the photos as much as you do, and he is invested in your happiness. We did an engagement shoot with him and were thrilled with the images. Josh has an artistic eye and will even lay on cobblestone streets to capture the perfect image. He finds the perfect balance of artistic photos and photos where your faces are clearly visible / straight on. Josh was great at talking through different timing options to help us put together an optimal schedule of the wedding day. During the wedding he was so calm, positive and upbeat. He really kept everything very relaxed, which resulted in great photos. During the party, he and the team are out of the way so that you can celebrate with your guests, but they're also easy to find if you want a straight on photo with a certain guest. We are so impressed with the quality of all of our images and family is still calling us on a daily basis to say how amazing they are. Highly recommend on all counts - value proposition, talent, responsiveness, quality of character, turnaround time and professionalism. Look no further for the best photographer around!!!

I met Josh Cuppek at a bridal expo. He was very polite and one of the only vendors that wasn't pushy. He asked questions to gain an understanding about what was important to me for my pictures. Josh took interest in us as a couple and made us feel important. Throughout our engagement, Josh was amazing offering us tips and advice along the way. He was very prompt with his responses as well. Josh is a professional that loves his job and you can see that in his work, and while working with him. Josh truly does what he can to find the right the picture and make everyone comfortable in front on the camera. I am beyond excited to see my pictures. The few that he posted already are absolutely amazing. We plan to use Josh in the future for family portraits.

We met Josh at a friend’s wedding in upstate NY right after we got engaged- from that moment we knew exactly who our photographer HAD to be. We booked him immediately after setting our date, and it was the best decision we made! Working with Josh was not like working with any of our other vendors- he was not only our photographer, but was so personable it was like we’d known him our whole lives. From the first time we first met with him in till saying goodnight at the end of our reception, Josh instilled a sense of professionalism, calm, experience and possibly most important fun in us and everyone he came across. His organization was outstanding- he set the timeline for the day (which made the whole planning process easier), and it allowed us to relax and truly enjoy the whole experience. Our maid of honor has been in several weddings over the past 2 years and had seen Josh work before- from the minute we got engaged she told us that he was by far the most organized and professional she had seen. We really can’t thank Josh and the crew enough for capturing our day, and if you’re considering Josh for your wedding, it will be the best choice you make through the whole process!

Josh did an amazing job with our photography and videography for our wedding! Leading up to the wedding, Josh met with us and emailed frequently to make sure he had all the details down and helped answer all of our questions. The day of, Josh was so organized and helped made sure the day moved smoothly, and that every moment was captured. We absolutely LOVED our pictures and video, and received so many compliments on them!! When we look through our images and watch the video, we remember every moment, and feel like we are there again. The hardest part now is narrowing down our favorite pictures to frame, since they are all so awesome!! Thank you SO much for making our day so special!

5 starI had an incredible experience working with Josh! I first met him a little over a year ago at my cousin's wedding. Just from watching how attentive he was to capturing the perfect image, moment and detail I knew I had to have him as my photographer! Cuppek Photography was the first thing we booked after we got engaged.

Right from the beginning Josh was helpful with even more than just picking out a photography package. When I asked him for his advice on catering halls, he immediately sent me an e-mail with venues he had previously been to within my area. Whenever I had a question or problem about how to plan a time line for my special day Josh had an answer and solution. The day of my wedding I felt confident and at ease when Josh and Nathan arrived. I knew from there on everything would go smoothly and it sure did.

After the wedding I received tons of compliments on how professional, kind and enthusiastic Josh was at our wedding.

Every one of my pictures were absolutely amazing!! I couldn't have asked for a better photographer. I would recommend Josh for sure! My husband and I will of course use Cuppek Photography in the future! Thanks for all you have done to make our day very special!

If I could rank him and his employees higher I would. They are unbelievably amazing. Josh made the experience so much fun and stress-free (which is huge when you are planning a wedding). He did two of my best friends weddings (that is how I met him), then did mine and just did my sister's last weekend. All my guests commented on how awesome they were at the wedding. He made the experience so personalized too. He would want to me with us and get to know us before the wedding day. He is willing to work with you on anything and everything you want. He gets back to you immediately when you have any questions or concerns about the planning of the day of. The day of can be very hectic and he made it beyond smooth sailing. My husband even surprised me during the reception and had Josh put first look pictures on a projector in our venue for everyone to see ( this was a last minute thing planned the day of and Josh made it absolutely beautiful). Finally (and most important) the pictures were beyond perfect - he captured every single moment throughout the night. My husband and I were initially upset that we did not get a videographer but then when we saw our pictures we realized we didn't even need one because he got everything !!!! We were able to relive the night all over again and whenever we want now! Let's get right to the point. My wife and I had a wonderfully incredible experience working with Josh and Cuppek Photography and we would 100%, absolutely, unequivocally recommend Josh & Cuppek Photography for anyone who is looking for a professional photographer. Josh was incredible to work with. He is helpful, straightforward, knowledgable and fun. Josh was more than a wedding vendor to us, he was a part of our wedding. Josh and Arcy took spectacular photos, but Josh was more like a friend to us in the months and weeks leading up to our wedding. He was so supportive, and made sure we had nothing to worry about it.

My husband and I tied the knot on June 27, 2014 which was the best day of our lives. Being that we were so excited for this important day we wanted to make sure that we had the best vendors helping us out. Josh was by far the BEST photographer/vendor my husband and I considered and surpassed all other vendors that day. Josh Cuppek Photography was loved by our family, friends, and The Manor. Josh made us feel like the most important people in the world and the photos we received after the wedding showed just that. My husband and I got married oct 4 2014 and we were paying for photographer ourselves. We know weddings can be very expensive and when I met josh I just knew that he was going to be a great part of our day. He was so kind and helpful with making arrangements for payment plans. His work is AMAZING. numerous people at the wedding commented and even bridal party asking for his card for when they get married! The work he does is perfect and unique. He didn't make us or anyone in the wedding feel awkward during pictures or any part of the wedding. He even danced with us!! I would recommend him to anyone. We got married on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Highlands Country Club in Garrison, NY and Cuppek Photography was the BEST! Josh, the owner, was awesome. He came with another photographer, Arcy, and were with us the entire day. They were fun all day, and most importantly, during the ceremony and reception, seemed to be invisible, yet somehow we got the most amazing pictures!! Josh was absolutely incredible. Of all the vendors I worked with and met over the course of my wedding planning journey, he was by far the best. Unlike most photographers I met with, Josh's passion for his craft was immediately obvious and so completely genuine. I never felt like he was trying to sell me on his work and various photo packages and add-ons because he let his work sell itself, which it did. He was incredibly easy to work with and always responsive to my many inquiries and emails during the months leading up to my wedding day which I was very much appreciative of. He even agreed to my idea to have him shoot my rehearsal dinner instead of providing an engagement session, thus putting himself in the throws of my family, my Groom's family and 7 children all under the age of 5. That was no small task but he accepted the challenge and I am so glad that he did because the pictures turned out great. It will be so nice to have those memories of a night often otherwise forgotten.
As for my actual wedding photos, they could not have turned out any more incredible. I am currently in the process of trying to narrow them all down to my 100 favorites to make an album and I am at a loss as to how I am going to make that happen. There are so many beautiful photos to choose from and I am in awe of his talent.
Josh is charismatic and professional. His work is outstanding and probably about as close to perfect as you can get. I actually even got several compliments on my choice in hiring him during my wedding from various guests. I would recommend him a million times over to anyone. I can't even begin to thank him enough for all the beautiful memories.

I cannot say enough about how much I loved Cuppek Photography! Josh is not only an excellent photographer; he is a wonderful person which made the experience even better. The last thing I wanted on my wedding day was to feel like I constantly had a flash in my face. I never felt like Josh or his team intruded on my ceremony or my reception. Our church was very specific on where pictures of the ceremony could and could not be taken, and even from a distance, the ceremony pictures are simply beautiful. In fact, I felt that he was more of a guest at my wedding then the photographer! He included all the special pictures I asked for and my wedding pictures are now something my husband and I will cherish forever. I recommend Cuppek Photography to anyone I hear is getting married. I met Josh at a wedding show and he really took the time to chat with me about our wedding at the show and I knew he had to be our photographer! Then he really worked with us to figure out what options and packages would work best for our wedding and us. Josh did photos for our engagement shoot and our wedding and was outstanding! He always made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and we had a blast with him! Our wedding was beautiful and perfect and we are just so happy that Josh and his crew were there to capture all of the special moments. He was able to put up "day of" images on a screen at the reception and so many people were complimenting on how beautiful they were! We were really able to connect with him and he truly went well beyond our expectations and helped to make our special day perfect! We would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a personal photographer to help capture their special event and make them feel like "rock stars"!

We are so glad we chose Josh as our wedding photographer this past May! From the first meeting with him he was incredibly knowledgable, organized and reassuring. On the wedding day he was a great addition to our wedding party and helped to make the picture-taking enjoyable! My husband and I couldn't have been more pleased with anyone else photogtaphing our wedding! Josh Cuppek is a flexible and fun man to work with. He made it easy for us to keep in touch through text, email or facebook which helped us feel confident about this detail of wedding planning since there are so many other things to focus on. The quality of his work makes our special day that flew by come alive again so we get to savor it after all the excitement of the wedding. I met Josh at a bridal show about a year and a half before my wedding. His work was stunning and I knew I wanted to make and appointment to meet with him to hear more of what he can offer. After our first meeting both my husband and I knew he was the man for the job! You could tell not only from his work but from his attitude that he truly loved what he does and would do his best to make your photos just as perfect and special you want them to be! On our wedding day Josh and Arcy were fantastic to work with! They know just how stressful and crazy the day can be and they made it so much easier for us to have fun, relax and really enjoy our it! Our pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous just as we imagined they would. We couldn't have picked a better photographer and are so thankful for all be work he has done that truly helped to make our wedding day perfect! He will always be our first choice as a professional photographer and we recommend him to all future bride and grooms and anyone looking for a fun hardworking photographer!!!!

Josh and his team are simply amazing and surpassed all of our expectations! We met Josh at a bridal show, along with many other photographers, but immediately knew he was the right one for us. We could tell by looking at only a few of his pictures and talking to him for only a few minutes, that he was great at capturing moments in a beautiful way and has a great personality.

We booked him for our engagement shoot and wedding. Over the past year, Josh has been such a pleasure to work with. He makes us feel so comfortable, happy, and calm… all of the feelings you want during wedding planning, and especially on the big day! The weather was somewhat gloomy the morning of the wedding. Josh texted me that the darker sky shouldn’t bum me out because the lighting was perfect for photography. It was so thoughtful and calmed my worries. And he really was right about the lighting, because the pictures came out absolutely beautiful! At the wedding, Josh and his team did such a great job. They got through the formal portraits very efficiently, while still making it fun. There were also several moments throughout the day when I thought to myself “I hope someone is getting this on camera!” and I would turn and notice that Josh or one of the other photographers was already there clicking away.

We are blown away with Josh’s work! From the photos we have seen so far, he really captured our love and all of our memories from the wedding day perfectly. There are even several moments we forgot about (or didn’t even know about) that the pictures were able to remind us of and help us relive the day. We cannot stop looking at them and cannot wait to see the rest! My husband, family, and I could not give a higher recommendation for Cuppek Photography. We were so pleased with all of our wedding vendors, but Josh was really the icing on the cake! He is definitely our first choice for any photography needs in the future and should be your first choice as well!

Josh is not only a photographer! He is THE photographer! - the fact that you can see his passion and excitement through the camera lens says it all!!!!

When I started planning my wedding, there were three things I focused on: great food, great music and a great photographer. I had met with probably three other photographers and they seem very good, but there was still something missing. After much research, I was still not satisfied... Then, one day, at a Bridal Expo, I walked in and saw the most beautiful picture I've ever seen!!! Immediately exchanged information with Josh and at that same night he contacted me. - from that point forward he was nothing but the best with my husband and I. - always professional, yet kind, understandable (we rescheduled almost every appointment due to our crazy schedule), helpful and not pushy at all! - when the big day finally arrived, Josh was more than a photographer, he was a friend to me and my husband, he made us laugh and also kept us calm the entire time.

During the entire time we were planning the wedding, I sent him tons of pictures I found online and he took every single one of them!

We were just incredible happy and satisfied. He went beyond what I expected! - since the day of my wedding was so fast, all I felt afterwards was that I just want to do it all over again, and today, when he sent me some pictures, I just lived that day once again.

I will be forever grateful for everything he's done for us!

Josh did both my engagement and wedding photography. I couldn't be happier with the work he has done. His quality of work is fantastic. My engagement photos came out great and he made the session fun. The sneak peak of photos from my wedding are absolutely gorgeous!! I can not wait to see the rest! He captured some memorable moments that will be cherished forever! I also used his videographers and they were equally amazing! I can not wait for another opportunity to use his great services.

Josh did such a wonderful job on our engagement photos! His professionalism allowed for emailing back and forth in a timely manner to pick the perfect location for this day. The session was supposed to be about an hour but Josh put in an extra hour with us because he wanted to get the perfect shots even though it was 90 degrees outside =) The final results were so great! Our friends and family raved about them. My fiance Jim and I would highly recommend Josh Cuppek Photography for any occasion!

Josh is a fantastic person who also happens to be an amazing photographer. We booked Josh as the photographer for our wedding and booked a second photographer and a videographer through him as well. The day of our wedding things could not have gone better. Josh is very good at not being intrusive and letting you be yourself, all the while catching the moments you forgot you had during that day. He took all of the standard photos that we requested for the day, but when you let Josh do his thing, some of the most amazing pictures come out! I remember just spending some time with my husband, chatting, taking a minute to ourselves, but those happen to be some of the best photos, because we forgot Josh was there, not because he's quiet, but because we were completely comfortable around him. He really does capture your own personal story. The best part about Josh as our photographer is he really LOVES his job and he wants to continue to love his job. So you don't ever feel like you're just another wedding to him. We can't recommend him enough, and Rolli and RC!

Josh is one of the most brilliant photographers I know. Not only is he professional and charismatic, he is brilliantly creative. I was so pleased that I had picked Cuppek Photography as my photographer. Joshua took the time and went over all off the photos that I felt I needed to have, and he delivered. I was impressed by Josh's professionalism and talent. He took so many photos that I didn't even know he was taking. Also, Joshua was so friendly. I feel that I felt like some of my vendors were not approachable. That was not the case with Joshua and I really appreciated that. I am so glad that I had chosen him as my photographer and I have the photos to cherish forever. I highly recommend Joshua for any events you may have.

Josh did an absolutely amazing job at my wedding and I couldn't be happier with him. I arrived at the church with my bridesmaids early to get dressed, etc. and Josh was already there taking some pictures of the church. He was extremely friendly and handled everything by himself. He did not need direction from the bride or groom, which took a lot of stress off of us all. My guests also enjoyed his presence and told me they thought he did a great job. A couple people told me that wherever the commotion was at the reception, Josh was right there taking a photo! IT is evident in the photographs that he captured all of the important moments. He is an extremely talented photographer. I am so happy with my photographs and so is everyone else. I cannot stop going through them! If you want a wedding photographer who is not only talented and professional, but also a really nice and fun guy, I would recommend Josh in a heartbeat!

Luck allowed my husband and I to find Josh and we couldn't have been happier! Josh first took our engagement photos and the result was beautiful! My now husband can be very shy, but Josh managed to put his nerves at ease resulting in some wonderful photos! After our first photo session, Josh was in constant contact and was extremely responsive no matter how small the request. Prior to the big day, I didn't have a worry at all because I knew Josh would put the importance of my wedding as though it was his own! He truly did a wonderful job at our wedding and made everyone feel incredibly comfortable. He even helped my family bring bags to the car! I would highly recommend Cuppek Photography to anyone looking in the area. He honestly helped make our day perfect!

Josh and his team were a joy to work with! He was very flexible in working around our schedules and availability and he offered several different pricing packages which allowed us to customize to our needs as well as fit our budget. We used Josh's engagement/wedding photography and videography services that he offered and were extremely pleased with the final products! Our pictures are beautiful and Josh and his team captured all the special moments of our day. Josh made us feel comfortable when taking our photos (lets be honest, posing isn't the most natural thing in the world for many!) and we appreciated his style which was a modern take on traditional wedding photos. The hardest part in working with Josh is that there are SO many great photos that it is incredibly hard to pick our favorites! :) We couldn't have been more pleased with the final outcome and working with Josh and his crew.
