  Responsive, attentive, overall amazing photographer!

  Crystal and her partner photographer made our wedding day perfect! During the planning process, Crystal was very fast at responding to all of my questions. When we first spoke, I remember she stayed on the phone with me for almost an hour at 6 or 7pm one night after I was working late! She is so flexible & willing to work within your budget to help you have the most amazing day! Crystal does an incredible job going over her style of photography with you so that you know what to expect when it comes to your big day! Her questionnaire is very extensive, IN A GOOD WAY, because she wants to make sure she is capturing everything you want! We had a first look & Crystal executed flawlessly -- helping to ensure the groom was set up where he needed to be for the big reveal. Due to COVID, our plans for the wedding changed significantly & Crystal stayed on top of everything to make sure we were taken care of. She is incredibly organized! Towards the end of the night we used sparklers with all of our guests & Crystal & her partner photographer were so excited to capture many pictures for us! With the chaos of the day, she always checked in to make sure we had what we needed. We are so looking forward to getting our previews & pictures back! We recommend Crystal & her team 1,000% and we look forward to having the opportunity to work with her again!

  Hire her!! she is amazing

  I am so happy we picked this photographer. From day one she walks you through the process and works with your vision. Unfortunately, we cancelled the wedding due to COVID because most of our family/friends were not able to travel to the event or were older. She was very understanding and we really wanted to work with her, but the Blue Dress Barn venue wouldn’t let us change the date even with the current situation. The Blue Dress Barn offered zero flexibility. We really wanted to get married in Michigan at the Blue Dress Barn and the idea was to change the date for 2021 keeping Crystal Van Photography because I was looking forward to seeing her work. However, since the Blue Dress Barn venue decided not to work with us even by switching our date from a Saturday in 2020 to a Friday/Sunday in 2021, we had no other option but to cancel all vendors. Crystal Van photography was one of the only vendors easy to work with and fully understood the situation. Due to her professionalism, creativity and communication I highly recommend her for your wedding.

  Great Destination Photographer!

  As a wedding planner and someone in the wedding, Crystal was such a breeze to work with! She was so flexible and willing to work with all the details we provided her! She stuck to the timeline and also was able to get through family photos super quick! I loved working with her professionally and also as a wedding party member!

  The best photographer ever!

  Crystal is AMAZING!! If you are looking for a skillful photographer who is easy to work with, do not look any further!! She was so sweet and communicative from the moment I booked her. Our engagement pictures were literally to die for and she made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire session. This was the first time my husband and I ever had professional pictures taken, so we were a little nervous. I truly feel like she spent a ton of time with us and her excitement and positive energy made us feel so much more comfortable. We got our engagement photos back vey quickly and they were all perfect! The day of the wedding it unfortunately rained almost the entire day, but Crystal did her best to get some great pictures despite the weather. At one point, she was standing in the rain for a long period of time trying to get pictures of us on the porch and did not complain one single time. I chose to get a second photographer which was her husband and they were both great. I have not yet received my wedding photos but I know they will be nothing short of amazing. She spent a lot of time getting pictures of the decorations/details and I cannot wait to see them all. She was so accommodating, communicative, and really cared about what we wanted. She was also not afraid to be direct when taking family photos which I loved because it made everything run more smoothly and quickly. Not only was she easy too work with, but she is SO GOOD at what she does. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone!

  Crystal was an amazing photographer to work with; she was easy to communicate with from start to finish. She emailed with us and we had a really nice and in-depth phone conversation to get started. She asked a lot of questions to get a good idea of what we were looking for and on the day of the wedding, I trusted that she was capturing everything that I wanted and more and I didn't have to worry or even think about it. And the photos are evidence that my trust was well founded! We are thrilled with the images, they truly captured the day - from tiny details (all the tiny details that meant so much to me and that I want to remember forever and I am so happy that I now have held in beautiful, professional photos) to the big picture (large scale, wide-lens shots that take in the whole scene, which was really important to me as well as we had an outdoor wedding with gorgeous gardens in the foreground and a shimmering lake in the background and in any of the guests' photos it was impossible to capture the whole thing, but Crystal's professional shots take it all in and really do justice to the setting that we put so much effort (and money) in having for our ceremony and it means to much to have it all available to look back on) she really got it all. She also caught all of the moments in the reception, we enjoyed looking through the photos and seeing the parts of the party that we didn't even know were happening around us! She caught small personal moments in the garden grounds and big fun moments on the dance floor, she somehow managed to be everywhere! She even made sure to catch us at the right time to get some sunset photos, which we would not have thought of and would have missed without her. Crystal was really easy to work with and she directed the posed photos with ease and simplicity and she caught a lot of candid moments as well. It was the perfect combination.

Our wedding day photos are especially priceless and the emotional moments Crystal captured are lovely. We were also happy with Crystal’s communication with us, as well as her following up.   I recommend her 100%. She not only was quick and efficient with photos, but she ensured our requests for specific photos were met and included the small details. She's easy to work with and is great at what she does. She went above and beyond for our wedding.

  We hired Crystal for my daughter's wedding April 21, 2018. Crystal traveled about 2 hours to get to the venue. We couldn't have been happier with her work- the photos are fabulous. Thank you, Crystal!!

She captured my whole ceremony such as walking down the aisle, vows, exchanging of rings, the first kiss - all at different angles for us. She also took care of taking pictures of ALL of my wedding items such as my programs, seating cards, flowers, rings, shoes, jewelry, dress, cake, cake utensils, card box, Hershey kisses, centerpieces, and took wonderful photos of my entire family, guests having fun, groom, myself and the entire bridal party which all turned out amazing. I really appreciated the fact she took pictures of all these items because we worked really hard on them and now I can have these photos forever. She made all of us feel comfortable and it was a piece of cake. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer.

  Crystal was the photographer for our wedding. We are incredibly pleased with the beautiful pictures she took of our special day. She braved a super cold and snowy day driving from Muskegon to Grand Rapids. Crystal V Photography will be the best decision you make for your wedding photography.
