We ordered a cake for our wedding and Justin + team absolutely knocked it out of the park!! Our wedding was all Capri blues, whites, greens, and lemons - and Crush Cakes understood the assignment. We received so many compliments on not just the cake's design but the taste too (red velvet). I am forever grateful for the baking team over at Crush Cakes for going above and beyond, making not just a delicious cake, but also a pretty piece of decor.
Also, we ordered cookies to accompany our wedding ice cream sundae bar. These were stellar and everyone was asking where we ordered them from! Compliments all around!!

Best dessert bar!!
We went through crushcakes because it was my grandmas favorite cafe in Santa Barbara, and she recently passed so this was our way to have a part of her at our wedding. I also opted for a dessert bar instead of just a cake and all of the desserts were amazing! The cake was perfect and exactly what I wanted! Everyone loved the desserts they were gone in seconds after opening the dessert table! Thank you for providing such amazing desserts for our wedding!!

We didn't do a cake, and opted for cupcakes - they were so delicious! We had more than enough for our guests and they were so very tasty! We got a half dozen vegan, gluten-free as well for sensitive guests, sometimes they can be dry but not at Crushcakes, they were moist and perfect! We included a cupcake tower and the display was beautiful!

Delicious Wedding Cake!
We did a cake tasting at Crushcakes and knew we had to use them for our wedding. Their cake is so homemade tasting and delicious. They were easy to work with and the pricing was reasonable. We did a 2 tiered cake and sheet cake for the guests with multiple flavors. It turned out gorgeous and we got lots of compliments on the cake.

The first thing we did after getting engaged was to go cake tasting (um, priorities) and after the first bite of the few dozen or so cupcake tasters, we knew Crushcakes would be our go to. The cakes are delicious and moist and they even have some not too traditional flavors that resonated with us. Emily (and the Crushcakes staff) was incredibly helpful throughout the tasting, ordering, and the frequent change request process. And it was so affordable compared to other places we looked at! Like I'm still baffled as to why. Because for our order size for the quality (and for how much the guests LOVED it), I would have paid more. Guests were thrilled when we brought out the leftovers the next day at brunch. And it was still stupid good.

For our wedding we decided we wanted a small cutting cake and cupcakes. We tried a few cupcake places in the Santa Barbara area and Crushcakes was far and away the best. Their cupcakes were moist and not overly sweet and they offered some fun flavors. I will admit that the cutting cake was a little overly dense and the icing too sweet for us, but the cupcakes were delish (we got lots of good feedback about them from our guests). And the cutting cake looked super cute. They were also totally delightful to work with while planning and very quick to respond to everything.

My guests loved our cake and couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was. We had a two layer cake with lemon on top and marble on the bottom. It was iced with their vanilla bean frosting. I think guests liked having the choice between the two flavors and oh my goodness it was yummy! Crushcakes was accommodating to my vegan guests too. They made similar versions of the cake in vegan cupcakes. The manager was pleasant to work with. The cake was delivered on time and set on the cake table. The restaurant kindly put our Lego cake topper on for us. We are highly satisfied with the quality of our cake and service Crushcakes have us!

Amazing! My husband and I are so happy we went with Crushcakes for our wedding. From booking the tasting to devouring our treats the night-of, Crushcakes was so easy to work with and delicious. At first, we were worried about whether a bakery would accommodate what we wanted to do, but Crushcakes made it easy and they were happy to help us out with mini cupcakes and mini pies for our wedding. The guests loved having so many flavor options to try and really raved about the deliciousness of the desserts. Crushcakes also did a small cutting cake for us and they completely captured my vision. Overall, I was so impressed with the flavor, artistry, and pricing of our wedding treats. We'll be in for a treat the next time we're in town. The events coordinator Emily was wonderful -- so helpful and flexible as we planned our wedding within a fairly short time frame. She made sure everything was set well beforehand, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. And, of course, the pie was amazing!!! After our tasting, we knew it was an easy choice. Our guests raved about all the flavors, and we barely had any leftovers. Almost everyone went back for seconds. We paired the Crushcakes Pies with another local company, Tondi Gelato, and it was a match made in heaven.

Everything was perfect from working with Emily upfront to - omg the cake. I had many people tell me it was the best they’ve ever had, including some people who said they didn’t like cake who loved it. We had some left over and invited friends and family over the next day to finish it off. With no wedding planner I had to trust it would show up on time with flowers added and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. It showed up on time looking gorgeous.

Crushcakes is amazing! Not only do I still get compliments on how good the cake was, over 2 months after the Wedding, but they made the cake exactly the way I wanted it to look. I had a unique wedding design for my cake (baseball themed) and they nailed it. Emily was easy to work with and reliable and professional.

We are so pleased with our experience with Crushcakes. They offered a wide range of options to fit our budget & guest size, and our cake came out beautiful. Emily made the process so easy, from general inquiries about pricing and process, to setting up the tasting, to updating our order and to communicating design details back and forth to get the look just right. Our guests also loved the cake flavors and some had asked to take home the remaining cake that didn't get served. In a time when many couples are choosing dessert alternatives to a show-stopping cake, I am so happy that Crushcakes was able to make this lovely tradition part of our special day without us breaking the bank. Thank you to all of the Crushcakes staff for making my wedding day so beautiful! The desserts were all heavenly and I don't think much of anything was left! The tasting was planned and my bridal party and I headed up to the area last June! I picked out the flavors and designed my cake through photographs of ideas I had found online! Everything came out just perfect! I would recommend them to ANYONE!!!

Crushcakes was the PERFECT choice. We were very particular about selecting cake, and knew it had to be delicious and beautiful-- they did it beautifully. The tasting process was SO fun and relaxed, and they were open to our suggestions and made a custom cake that fit our tastes and vision exactly. They provided the serving platter, and everything that we needed, including delivery, and we were thrilled. So great to be able to go back to Crushcakes whenever we want a memory of our wedding! The service was excellent, you will not be disappointed!

Great value, exceptional quality, no pressure, super easy to work with and accommodating, the most amazing cake. The tasting was so worth doing with 4 large cupcakes of different types presented beautifully for only $10. The wedding cake was a perfect coconut cake--made exactly as we asked. Emily is a gem and the baker is wonderful.
The best man, who rarely eats sweets (his idea of desert is dried fruit with not added sugars), ate two pieces and could not stop raving about the cake.

I have always loved the cupcakes here, and when my husband and I saw crushcakes at a wedding expo (at the Earl Warren Showgrounds), we were super excited. I have recently become gluten intolerant, and when we saw crushcakes offered gluten free options (we also got to taste the gluten free red velvet cupcakes and they were delicious!). We also liked that they offered numerous other dessert options as my husband prefers pies over cakes.
We had a tasting of pielets and cupcakes, and knew after the tasting that we wanted to move forward with their desserts for our wedding. We ordered the following desserts for our wedding: Buttermilk crumb, strawberry blush, and vanilla bean cupcakes; apple, mixed berry (1 dozen being GF), and banana cream pielets; snickerdoodle and chocolate chip walnut cookies; blueberry and strawberry scones; chocolate fudge brownies, and a GF two tier round cake (flavors: buttermilk crumb and strawberry blush). We decided to add on delivery and setup, and were very pleased with the results.
The wedding and events coordinator, Emily, was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was very professional and responsive on emails.
Definitely a great pleasure to work with, and we were super pleased we ordered desserts from Crushcakes!

We were so happy with our wedding cake! I wanted a cake that tasted like real cake; not some fluffy "nothing" taste. Our banana cake with fresh strawberry frosting was amazing, AND looked beautiful. I have been eating Crushcake cupcakes for years and have NEVER been disappointed. Emily from Crushcakes was wonderful to work with, flexible, very responsive and professional. We ordered 4 different flavors of cupcakes and a small cake for us to cut. Everything tasted amazing, we go loads of compliments from our guest. We got our wedding cake and mini cupcakes from crushcakes for our big day on 8/20/16. We are so happy that we went with Crushcakes, because the quality of the cake/cupcakes were top notch, with amazingly reasonable pricing.
I cannot stress how reasonable their prices are, especially given the quality of their food. Maybe I shouldn't say too much, or they may raise their prices! On the actual wedding day, we didnt get to eat much of the desserts (or anything for that matter) but our guests loved it!
If you need a cake for an event in the area, this is the place!

Crushcakes’ cupcakes have long been a favorite local indulgence of mine, so they were an obvious first choice for me when it was time to select a wedding cake vendor. While I knew from past experience that the product would be delicious, I was less certain about the level of customer service we could expect. Taking care to explore all the options (and eat all the cake!), I scheduled tastings for several other bakeries in the area. Crushcakes not only proved to be the best tasting cake, as I expected, but they were very responsive to our inquiries and were able to deliver to our reception site when others were unavailable. My concerns about customer service turned out to be entirely unfounded.
Of course, because my husband loves pie as much as I love cake, we quickly became excited about the idea of offering guests a choice of cupcakes or pielets (or both). Hallie at Simply Pies offered us a great tasting experience and was happy to develop our idea of an off-menu s’mores pie (which turned out great!). We finally settled on 3 flavors of pielets from Simply Pies and 3 flavors of cupcakes from Crushcakes, plus a full, single-layer cake for me and a regular-sized pie for him.
It was a lucky coincidence that just as we were ready to finalize our choices, the two businesses joined forces. Understandably, Simply Pies was nearly impossible to reach during the transition, but we had a wonderful experience working with Emily at Crushcakes. From ensuring that each pielet was topped with a heart-shaped crust (previously discussed with Simply Pies) to helping me narrow down my cake-themed Pinterest board to the decorating option that seemed to best encompass my vision, she took care of every detail of our order. Our resulting array of miniature cakes and pies was both beautiful and delicious.

After my husband and I tried their Vanilla Bean cupcake, we knew that we wanted our wedding cake to taste just like that. We are both not into cakes or cupcakes, but we wanted to try some to see if we liked one enough to have at our wedding and I can tell you that we can't wait to visit Santa Barbara so we can have some more. Our guests went back for seconds and we did not get one complaint. We worked with Emily and she made sure our cake was exactly how we wanted it to be and kept a picture on file. I would highly recommend booking a tasting as you will fall in love with their flavors.

Our wedding cakes were SO delicious! We were going for a very simple but elegant look, and they did such a great job in capturing that with their decorating. There was a bit of confusion upon our first correspondence, but they gladly corrected the miscommunication. Overall, a very positive experience. As residents of Santa Barbara, we are frequent "shoppers" at Crush Cakes and love all of their cupcakes so it was an obvious choice for who would do the cake and cupcakes at our wedding! The sampling part was so much and they were so easy to work with. We told them exactly what we were looking for and they were very accommodating to meet these visions! I was interested in Crushcakes because they provided a vegan option at no additional cost! I spoke to Alyssa in planning the cake and she was so receptive to my ideas and patient while I made the final decisions on decorations. She was very quick to respond - a big relief for a destination wedding! We had coconut cake for the bottom and top layer and red velvet for the middle layer - all vegan. It was delicious! We met Crush Cakes at the bridal expo in Santa Barbara and we scheduled a tasting as soon as we tried their sweets. We were so happy to work with Emily. We had a specific vision that we wanted, and it was a bit complex, they were happy to help with our vision. I also contacted Emily a few times through the process to change a flavor and to set up a surprise grooms cake. They even found a design element flaw and emailed me about it to ask what we thought about their solution. We did all the planning on our own and they made the cake part stress-free. They made it so easy, we had our toppers and cake stands waiting at our reception venue, they delivered the cake and set it up. I would recommend them to anyone! We are excited to go back for our first anniversary for cupcakes!

Crushcakes is the only choice in our wedding. My husband and I had a first date at crushcake, did the legally marriage at Santa Barbara court house and right after the exchanged vows we walked directly to crshcakes to celebrate our new start marriage. When we had a wedding in 2016 summer, on the wedding cake option we had no other option but crshcakes came to our mind. I was pretty happy with my experience with Crushcakes. Emily was a joy to work with. The cake was very, very beautiful! My two complaints are that (1) the topper I provided (and informed Crushcakes of in advance) was not put on top of the cake. It was in the same box as the cake stand I provide. And (2) the vegan cake was way too sweet, in my opinion. I thought the cake was beautiful, but I think the recipe should be workshopped a bit. To be fair, my dad said he liked it, and he's not vegan.

Crushcakes was amazing!!! They set up a delicious tasting and helped us pick out our pre-ceremony cookies. Their portfolio of pictures was really helpful in deciding which direction we wanted to go. Emily was patient, kind and accommodating, she even offered to package up our cookies in specific bags we sent her a few days prior! They delivered our cake (2 sheet cakes and two tiers totaling 4 different flavors) as well as our cookies on time. Emily had asked us to leave some decorations for the cake as well as our cake topper so they could dress it up- amazed! I left dried flowers and greenery with our topper and they did a GREAT job making it look beautiful. Our cake plus 100 personalized cookies were exactly the amount our caterer was charging for s'mores, we were very glad we made the switch.

Overall we loved our wedding cake from Crushcakes. It was delicious, and also looked just like I expected it to look. They matched the color to our cake topper, did a color gradient in the frosting, and we sent them a cake pad in white (we wanted that over the silver one they provide), but there was a mishap and I think the cake pad was overlooked on the day of. They sent us a gift card for the mishap with the cake pad, which was very much appreciated. I would say if you like great tasting cake and a reasonable price (other vendors I looked into were 2-3x as much) then go with Crushcakes!

I don't have the biggest sweet tooth, so when it came time to get a cake for our wedding, I felt like I could just close my eyes & pick a flavor. We tried another bakery, which shall remain nameless, and it was very dry. We decided to do a tasting at Crushcakes because the pricing was in our budget, they had simple wedding cake designs & good reviews. The cake was AMAZING! Blew my mind, wow, cake can be this good! On our wedding day, the cake was my favorite thing that I ate all day. We got sooooo many compliments about how good it was.
I am giving them 4 stars for service because when we arrived at our scheduled tasting, the person we made the appointment with was out sick so we had to wait about 15-20 minutes before we could talk to someone. It wasn't the end of the world, nor their fault.
With that said, their pricing is a great value for the quality of the cake, so it all worked out in the end.
We had a 2 tier cake & fresh flowers. On choosing a style, they asked us to email them a photo & they did a pretty good job copying it. They also have pedestals that you can buy or rent for the wedding, so if you are doing a small cake for cutting an another dessert, you can put on a pedestal to make it look more grand.
Highly recommend!

Best cupcakes, cookies and wedding cake possible. We had a combination of vegan cupacakes (no one believed us) chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies and a vanilla bean cake. By the end of dessert the cake was all gone with guests asking for more.

I knew I wanted cupcakes for my wedding, and good ones, but beyond that wasn't too picky (no special requests, no cake decorations, just really yummy cake and icing).
I didn't do too much cake tasting honestly, but I've been to a LOT of weddings and most of the cakes taste like lightly flavored cardboard with some extra-sweet paste on top. The tastiest one I recently had was an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins...
I went to CrushCakes for a tasting and was extremely happy to find moist delicious cake and buttery, flavorful icing! Some flavors were definitely better than others, so I do recommend bringing friends and trying a variety to see which you like. The tasting experience was fun but I was not catered to as I think I would have been at a typical "Wedding bakery" type place. They gave us a plate w/ our cupcakes and we sat in the cafe to taste.
They were easy to work with over email. I picked some "custom" flavors from their list which was no problem for them. I needed to make a last-minute increase in my order number 5 days before the wedding which they handled with ease. I paid for them to do set-up and rented a cupcake tower from them (both very reasonable). The tower does need to be returned to their store.
I ordered 5 flavors of mini cupcakes (just a few more than 2 per guest), we served them buffet style from a cupcake tower. They were gone shockingly quickly. People wanted more. Turns out when dessert is tasty, people eat a lot of it! Note: consider ordering more mini cupcakes than 2 per person. My grandfather said he ate 8. Thanks, grandpa. He also loved each one, so I was happy :)
In short, if you want a simple yummy dessert to be served buffet style, consider CrushCakes. You won't necessarily be treated "bridal-ly" but they certainly delivered exactly what I wanted at a fraction of the cost of a professionally baked wedding cake.

We ordered 60 cup cakes and a top cake for our wedding in Santa Barbara. The ordering process was easy as well as the cake tasting. Our cake was really good and everyone loved the cupcakes. We paid extra for delivery and cake table set up. We arranged to have the flower for the top of the cake left before the cake set up and they told us they would put them on the cake at set up. However, upon arrival at our reception, no flowers were to be found on the cake. We finally found them and had to put the flowers on our cake. This is the only reason I didn't give all 5's across the board.

Cake was amazing BUT...
So, I believe everyone really enjoyed the cake and cupcakes that we ordered but apparently there was a mix up on which location our cake/ cupcakes were suppose to be from. My wedding coordinator went to pick them up on Saturday 02 Oct and got to the Santa Barbara location told them the name for our wedding and said it was for a wedding, and were told that the cakes were at the Goleta location and instead of Crushcakes calling the Goleta location they just told my coordinator to go there because that's where the cakes were. So, she gets to the Goleta location and they tell her that they don't have them either so she calls the Santa Barbara location and tells them again what its for and then the Santa Barbara location said they had our cakes. I loved the cakes and cupcakes but I feel like the organization could have been better.

I love the product, but I was kind of disappointed by the service. I had booked a tasting in advance, but the events person didn't show up to it (I never got an excuse and eventually got a half-assed apology). When I got there, the tasting was set up, but the person working at the counter took about 15 minutes to notice me and had no interest in getting me water or answering any questions. I really wanted the tasting to be special, but I felt unwelcome and not cool enough to be worth anyone's time. It took a while to hear from the events person to inquire about the tasting. Once I placed the order, things went smoothly, but then again I didn't order anything fancy or custom (nor did I want to bother with it after walking out of that tasting feeling like I didn't deserve anything special). Honestly, if there were other cupcakes in town that I liked as much, I would definitely have used another vendor instead.

I had a mixed experience with Crushcakes. I do have to say that the staff at the store was very friendly, and made it very easy to order. Perhaps too easy. While the cupcakes we requested for our wedding were delivered on time, and the order was correct, there were a few problems that followed.
We left on our honeymoon the day after our wedding, and I wasn't very happy to get not only one, but two calls from Crushcakes while on our trip. The first call was to tell me that when the original order was placed, a "new girl" took the order and mistakenly undercharged me nearly $150. At the time of ordering, I was so focused on picking flavors and getting the right number, I didn't catch her error and neither did they...until 3 weeks later and after the event. But I agreed to the extra charges and we on our way.
About a week later, I received another call from Crushcakes saying we did not return the cupcake tower which we rented for them. I did suddenly realize this mistake, and it was on us to return it. Granted, it was now nearly a week and a half after the wedding, and they were just calling. (Side not - the tower was a very unsteady plastic tower. It took both of us holding it to cut the cake on top.) In Hawaii, there wasn't much I could do. The venue were we had the wedding was just a few blocks from Crushcakes, so I asked given all the errors if someone could go pick it up. They said, no, someone would need to return it to them within 48 hours or we would be charged for the cost of the tower which was pricey. Thankfully, our coordinator at the venue was kind enough to return it.
Overall, I have to say the cupcakes were tasty, and everyone loved them. But the customer service was weak and disorganized (friendly and apologetic, but not organized). And I tried to order early, and confirm the order via email...I thought I did my part. I was just disappointed that it felt that so much feel through the cracks.

Stressful...
We ordered cupcakes and cake pops with Crushcakes for our wedding. We had tried their desserts at many occasions and liked them very much. We first visited the store who referred us to Emily their Wedding & Event Coordinator. Getting a hold of her made our experience stressful. It took days even weeks before she returned any of our phone calls or emails. We had to chase her down at multiple occasions. This is clearly something undesirable when planning an event of that size. Our cupcakes and cake pops ended up being exactly the way we wanted, but left a bittersweet impression on us considering the amount of time we spent getting in touch with Emily. If you are considering dealing with Crushcakes, arm yourselves with lots of patience!

tasty cake - but their decorator goes rouge
Our wedding cake was very tasty.
My low rating is due to the design from whoever decorated the cake.
From the start I gave them a photo and said quote me to make this exact cake. Along the way I kept re-iterating I want the cake to look like the photo (in case there was any staff turnover). Right up to the month before our wedding, I submitted the same photo again as a reminder. Come wedding day, they delivered a cake that doesn't look very much like the photo. They took liberties and added LITERALLY DOUBLE the number of design elements on the outside. And our cake design was very simple, it wasn't anything elaborate.
I think we can all agree the design of a wedding cake is very important. We don't pay that much for merely a tasty piece of cake - it's about the appearance. Considering this is the most expensive dessert of my life, they should follow the instructions or reach out to me to discuss why they cannot. They had no explanation when I asked them and showed them the side by side photo comparison. Their decorator simply didn't follow my instructions.
So if looks don't matter, then hire them. If you have a specific look you want, be careful - they don't follow instructions and they don't do anything after the fact to apologize for it.

As a business owner myself, I’d say it’s pretty silly of any business to tell the majority of the population that you don’t want their business if they voted for someone you don’t like. Cakes have nothing to do with politics but for Crush Cakes politics has everything to do with theirs. So much so that they posted a picture on their Instagram page (will include) telling people to eat a particular man part. Very unprofessional to say the least.

Cake tasted salty like tears and smelled like cat piss. Sent a piece of the cake to a lab for 3rd party testing and was informed there were unmeasurable levels of copium and communism found. They are also shaving their heads in protest of Daddy Trump coming home to the white house. This is insensitive to Americans fiercely battling cancer. They need to be canceled for appropriating cancer culture.
