We got married there on May 6th and everything was great! Loren helped me with it all and he made my day go so smooth. We got so many compliments on the food too! We couldn’t have pictured a more perfect day!Crowne Plaza Springfield's reply:

If you're looking for a seamless wedding planning experience, the Crowne Plaza is where to go! Zach at the Crowne Plaza is the best! He is extremely responsive and ensures your day is perfect for you! The Crowne Plaza was very spacious and the service was great. The food was served hot and we had no complaints. There was no request that Zach was not able to fulfill! Our out of town guests loved the hotel bar and the free parking. The location of the hotel was perfect for local restaurants and close to the express way. -

We had a pre-Covid wedding planned that then was moved to Covid restricted and finally to Covid unrestricted. It meant a constant barrage of changes and adjustments by the staff at the Crowne Plaza. They never missed a beat! On top of it they did not make one error in the end. I was concerned the number of changes made over 2 years would mean some minor errors in the final product. There was not a one! They were really on top of it and outperformed my expectations immensely! -

The Crowne did a fabulous job! They went above and beyond with helping and guiding us during our wedding process. Zach was the absolute best and could not have done it without him! He is so accommodating and very reassuring! I highly recommend The crowne and working with Zach for any event you may have. -

Crowne Plaza Wedding
My husband and I got married at the Crowne Plaza on October 3rd, 2020. It was amazing! We booked the Crowne in 2019 and from the very beginning, the staff was friendly and helpful. We began working with someone named Audra but when Covid hit, they had to downsize. We ended up working with Zach Thornton, who is the catering manager. Zach was incredible! He stepped right in and hit the ground running. We faced many challenges beings we were in the middle of the pandemic but Zach was extremely patient and helpful through everything. He constantly kept me in the loop with what was going on at the hotel and with the restrictions put in place by the governor. Luckily, we were planning a small gathering anyways so our guest list was under 50 and we did not have to adjust for that. We were originally planning to get married on the rooftop (gorgeous and highly recommend!) but the weather did not cooperate. Zach was already ahead of the game and had a plan to move everything inside, with diagrams and ideas, all that allowed for the social distancing as required. Although my dreams of the rooftop wedding were shot, Zach and his team pulled through and made our wedding day absolutely perfect! The room was gorgeous! I was so impressed that I forgot all about the rooftop! The price was extremely reasonable and we did the wedding and reception all in one room. That was a great plan for us as we had many out of town guests and it was nice that not only did not have to drive from the wedding ceremony to the reception, but that they were also at the venue in which they were staying! The food was delicious, and my husband and I were able to do a tasting beforehand to choose the foods we wanted. Not only did we get the meal service, but they also had a cocktail hour with appetizers and snacks between the ceremony and reception. We chose the complimentary beer, wine and soda package based on our guests and budget, but they do have other packages available. One thing I liked was that they did offer full bar service so guests could buy mixed drinks if they wanted to. This allowed for them to either drink the complimentary stuff or get something more to their liking if they chose to do so and they weren't just stuck with what we had. I cannot say enough great things about the Crowne, the service, the venue, everything. I 100% recommend! -

We had our wedding reception here 11/2/19. We had the absolute best day ever! Zach was our wedding planner and was absolutely phenomenal. He set up meetings with us, updated us with emails, was very responsive and answered any questions we had, and made our planning and wedding weekend easy. Also, the food was great! We ordered late night pizza semi last minute and people couldn’t stop raving about them! I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza. -

Amazing reception venue
I just got married in August and worked with Allison at the Crowne. She was absolutely amazing to work with! She accommodated every request I had for our reception, which was a lot. She always responded to my emails in a timely manner and always made time to meet with my mom and I last minute! She made planning for a reception for 300 people a breeze! We had a large reception and so many of our guests raved about the food and service the Crowne provided. I highly recommend working with Allison and the Crowne for any event! -

Zach was so helpful. He was was always available and accomodating. Even with last minute changes and adjustments everything went well. I couldn't have asked for a better venue. I got so many compliments on the space and the staff. -

Zach Thornton was our event planner at the Crowne, and we can't say enough how incredible he was! When we chose the Crowne Plaza as our venue and caterer, we didn't know we also hired a wedding planner! This man and his team helped us the entire way, from planning to teardown after the reception. We received multiple compliments on the food, décor, hotel accommodations and even the friendliness and helpfulness of the all the staff. Our bartenders were amazing too! We would highly recommend Crowne Plaza of Springfield to anyone planning a wedding, and don't forget to ask for Zach Thornton! -

If you are like me and ALL about your guests and a stress free wedding plan, this is the place for you!! I worked with Zach Thornton at the Crowne. He was outstanding for everything from budget suggestions to florist/DJ/cake recommendations! Highly recommend suggesting him as he goes above and beyond for all needs/wants. We had so many compliments about the connivence of having our venue at a hotel. The Crowne offers everything that our guests needed from a breakfast place, Starbucks, indoor pool/hot tub and a bar. The hotel offers a competitive block rate for guests. The venue was stunning! We got married on November 24( the weekend after thanksgiving) and the place was decorated with Christmas decor that was just breathtaking! There was a cocktail room set up for guests that included tables with chairs/ memory table/ guest book/ bar and keg services along with a slide show of us (bride and groom) growing up. Incredible guest reviews! One thing the guest could not stop talking about was the FOOD (compliments of the Crowne chef and crew). The customer service and friendly attitude of the staff/ serving team was excellent. Quick on refills and checking in on tables. The dance floor even had an S for our last name. We had several photos taken in the hotel as well ( see photos). I am so very grateful to the Crowne for exceeding all of my expectations! -

Every detail was accounted for from the uplighting to the decor - to the vegan food entree, and we ran in to absolutely no issues or last minute fires on our big day. Audra Burks, the catering manager, helped us with questions and planning from the first day we walked into the sales office inquiring about wedding services. She answered all of our questions in the months leading up to our wedding, and was there with us on our day ensuring everything went as planned. We got married on the rooftop of the plaza with a reception in the ballroom to follow, and guests stayed at the Crowne the night of the wedding. It was easy, convenient, and literally every guests we talked to was raving about their experience. If you book with the Crowne - you can rest assured you are getting the best venue in the area for weddings. The staff knows what they are doing, and they have you covered.

Rebecca Sent on 11/16/2017My wife and I shopped around a little, just to compare, and in doing that we received alot of people that were standoffish with us, being that we are lesbians, and the simple things we wanted were extras. Shopping around made us realize nothing compared to everything offered at the Crowne Plaza! Audra was so attentive and made us feel at home. She was able to get every single thing we wanted. The day of we were looking for things to do because she put us out and only let us come down to make sure it was the exact way we wanted. Making a very relaxing start to our wedding day! I know most brides don't usually get that lol. The set up was amazing....i couldn't believe that every single thing I imagined, was reality!!!! The uplifting was amazing....and every single thing went on with out a hitch. We even had trouble with my bussel....and guess who fixed it, Audra lol. Thank you for making our day perfect!!!!!!!! We wouldn't change one single thing!!

Audra was very professional, organized, and helpful with planning our wedding venue. She went above and beyond her duties to see that every detail was in order which made our wedding a day we will never forget. We met with her several times prior to the wedding reception to have the food tasting and go over specific details and answer any questions we had. The food by the Chef at the Crowne Plaza was very good, and he even made the bride’s dinner request of homemade corndogs! Because we had multiple guests from out of town, we utilized the hotel accommodations and enjoyed a post-wedding brunch the next morning. We have heard and continue to hear nothing but great reviews from our guests related to the food, service and venue for the weekend. We would highly recommend Crowne Plaza for future brides and grooms to have and enjoy a beautiful wedding celebration.

October 22, 2022 Wedding
Made the entire wedding process so easy by using them. Did not have to stress about food, bar, rooms, etc. We worked with Zach Thornton and he was easy to get in contact with and helped tremendously throughout the entire planning process. Ballroom and cocktail hour looked wonderful. Would recommend over other Springfield, IL options. -
