Florist of the Century!

Jessica and her team at the Crossed Keys Design brough our wedding dreams to life!

As someone who works in landscape architecture and a strong graphic mindset, I knew that I would have many ideas to bring to the table. One meeting with Jessica and we knew immediately that we were in the best hands.

Jessica's creativity and ability to conceptualize is such a beautiful gift! She took all the things that I provided, and enhanced them ten fold with beautiful florals and execution. She was supportive and complimentary of all the signage I provided, and our ideas melded so well!

The fruit focused fun was a hit with all of the guests! Our relatives loved the instructiveness of it (aka eating the fruit throughout the night!). She and the team know I come from a Filipino background, so my family and I were touched to see specific Filipino fruits on the tables. The attention to detail and care were recognized by many!

The minute I walked in the room, I was brought to tears. I still cannot believe that our wedding already happened and that it was executed the way it was. All of our guests were blown away by the decor, and it truly enhanced the love that was in the room.

I cannot recommend Crossed Keys Designs enough, and I hope that I can work with them again in the future!

No one can do it like them!

We recently had the pleasure of working with the in-house floral and decor team at The Crossed Keys Estate for our wedding, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results.

The florist is truly exceptional. From our first meeting, she was attentive and insightful, guiding us through every option and choice to ensure our vision came to life. Her team executed our floral arrangements beyond our wildest dreams, creating the most stunning and beautiful floral designs we’ve ever seen.

In addition to the amazing floral work, their decor options are extensive and impressive. From tablecloths to chargers and various styles of silverware and glassware, their range of choices is vast. They are transparent about pricing and work diligently to make you feel comfortable with your budget, which made the planning process smooth and stress-free.

On the day of the wedding, we received an overwhelming amount of compliments from our guests. Everyone was in awe of the venue’s beauty and the exceptional decor. It was exactly what we had envisioned and more.

The entire experience was enjoyable and effortless, thanks to their respectful and professional approach. They truly made our special day unforgettable with their incredible talent and dedication.

Crossed Keys Wedding

From the beginning and straight through the end of the process, it was lovely working with Jessica on designing, and then being awed by our beautiful wedding. In the first steps of the process we viewed a bunch of weddings - all conveniently at our venue of course - and got to picture what we wanted everything to look like.

Once we narrowed down the general ideas we were able to effectively put together a list of what types of arrangements and decor we wanted to choose. Jessica was able to keep everything within the budget that was initially agreed on without any issue, and at no point pressured us to spend more than we were comfortable with. Overall we were able to have the gorgeous garden wedding of our dreams thanks to the wonderful taste and execution of Crossed Keys Designs, and highly recommend them.

Absolutely beautiful in every way!

Jess and her team were truly unbelievable. I still tear up when I think about my bouquet and all my flowers! To say she brought my vision to life is an understatement. Jess was honest with me from day one, letting me know what would look best, and where I would get the most bang for my buck. I wanted mostly white and green florals with a light touch of pink and she brought my dream to reality in every way. My arch was gorgeous, exactly what I pictured, and the way she did my sweetheart table (and all the other tables) was just breathtaking. I’d recommend Crossed Keys Designs time and time again. Thank you so much Jess + team for making my wedding day the most beautiful day, even in the rain. I cannot thank you all enough.

The most beautiful flowers!

We met with Jessica to plan our florals maybe 5 months before our wedding. She helped us stay within our budget and truly made my vision come to life. The bouquets were gorgeous and all of the bud vases on the table, as well as the beautiful floral arrangement at our sweetheart table, were perfect. It was lovely working with Jessica and her team! They do such great work!

WOW is all I can say. Jessica and her team of floral rockstars made our wedding extra magical!! Beautiful Florals!

Jessica and the team at CKD made the flowers and decor gorgeous and it was everything I dreamed of and more. The colors fit perfectly together and it was romantic and warm. They were even able to make a photo wall. Everyone loved it and it was so pretty. They really understood my vision and it was nice to see it come to life. They are very talented and it was easy to trust them. I really appreciated what they did for my special day.

The Most Stunning Wedding Florals & Design

I cannot begin to describe how amazing the florals were for my wedding at Crossed Keys Estate! I had a very specific vision in mind and the team executed it beautifully! Jessica was so accommodating as I changed my mind multiple times during the planning process, even when I added additions a few weeks before the wedding. Every moment from our large-scale seating chart to the backdrop for our sweetheart table, to the arbor we were married in front of was artfully designed. I highly recommend choosing Crossed Keys Designs to make the wedding of your dreams come to life!

I absolutely loved our wedding flowers!!!

My husband & I got married at Crossed Keys Estate & having our flowers done by Event Designs by Katherine was such a fabulous experience! We got married in October and I really wanted a mixture of light, beautiful ivory's & pinks mixed with very vampy dark, moody colors. And that's exactly what we got! I don't know much at all about different kinds of flowers, but I told them what I envisioned and they created such beautiful bouquets, beautiful centerpieces, and the MOST beautiful arbor for us to get married under. I wanted the dark flowers to be as dark as possible & that's what they delivered. It all went so beautifully with the rest of our decor, I couldn't have been happier. I couldn't let go of my bouquet, so I had them sent to a florist to press and frame them; I can't wait to get them in the mail and have them be a part of my home forever to remember how absolutely beautiful our surroundings were on our wedding day.

Working with Event Designs by Katherine was wonderful, and I am over the moon with how beautiful all our decor & floral pieces were at Crossed Keys. Once you start thinking about some of the things you want, even if you aren't really sure of everything, Jessica really helps you to focus your vision. Following our first decor appointment, she came back to me with an incredible proposal and the rest was history - the colors, the bouquets, the arbor, ceremony backdrop, gift table, seating chart, the enchanting lighting - anything we envisioned, she executed beautifully with the team. Just stunning, and I can't say enough about how amazing it all came together. I highly recommend this team for anyone looking for a floral & design planner!

We celebrated our daughter’s wedding last weekend at Crossed Keys Estate. It was absolutely magical. Katherine and Jessica guided us every step of the way and for that we are truly appreciative. The flowers... they blew us away - simply stunning, capturing the wedding colors perfectly! One guest confessed that she took more pictures of the flowers than she did of people!
I highly recommend Event Designs by Katherine. They are pros and know exactly how to create beauty.

Katherine and Jessica were amazing to work with and helped make the entire floral & decor planning process for our wedding extremely easy! I had a lot of ideas and specific requests and they made it all happen, exceeding my dreams and expectations. My vision for our day was rustic, bohemian elegance, and that is exactly what they created. The florals were absolutely STUNNING and I cried when I saw my bouquet for the first time! Guests cannot stop talking about all of the beautiful decor elements - from the sweetheart table backdrop, to the reception tables and custom signage - it was all exactly how we discussed and planned and it definitely made for an unforgettable wedding. I seriously wish we could get married every weekend just so I can see it all come to life again! So incredibly thankful and blessed to have had such talented, professional, and kind people help create the wedding of our dreams.

Where do I begin?! Long story short, Jessica, Katherine, and the entire Crossed Keys team are true wedding experts!

We waited two years to have our dream fall wedding, and every moment of our wedding day was worth the wait. From the moment we first stepped foot on The Estate’s grounds, we knew this was where we would be married…we didn’t even look at other venues! The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. From the towering oak trees, to the meticulously manicured lawns, every corner of Crossed Keys is beautiful. The tent is an absolute stunner (and won the approval of my very critical 93-year-old grandmother)! What we loved most about having a tented wedding was the ability to truly create an aesthetic that was our own. It was a blank canvas with which Jessica and Katherine used to create a beautiful celebration of our marriage. Throughout the entire planning process, Jessica was there to answer all of our questions, no matter how silly or seemingly insignificant, ultimately putting our minds at ease and allowing us to focus on preparing for marriage. The day of our wedding she was there, making sure every detail was perfect - I’m convinced she even had something to do with the impeccable weather and the fairy tale Autumn leaves raining down around us during the ceremony. A huge highlight for us was being able to have our rehearsal dinner at Crossed Keys Inn, just a minute’s drive down the road. Knowing that the Crossed Keys family was in charge of our wedding weekend was so reassuring. 3 months after our wedding and our family and friends are STILL raving about it! I have to admit, I am constantly trying to find an excuse to make my way back to Crossed Keys to experience its magic once again! Thank you Jessica, Katherine, Celso and EVERYONE at Crossed Keys.

The team at Event Designs by Katherine were absolutely fantastic - as was the final product! Jess and Katherine worked together with my mom and I for the year leading up to our wedding to perfectly pick and plan the decor of our event. They offered suggestions and helped create a cohesive decor and also accommodated our special requests... the centerpieces (garlands) were absolutely gorgeous, I wish there was one on my table everyday! The little touches really brought our wedding to the next (beautiful) level. And we are so grateful!

There aren't enough great things I can say about Crossed Keys and the people who work there. Katherine, Jess, Celso, EVERYONE, were the most helpful and accommodating when helping plan our big day! When I saw everything set up I was blown away. The flowers, the food, the decor, everything was absolutely amazing. Everyone has been telling us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to! They truly surpassed any expectations I had and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!

Event Designs by Katherine is just perfection. When meeting with Jessica regarding our flowers and decor I had a color and certain look in mind, but didn't quite know how to express my vision or make it come to life. It was almost like she could read my mind and turned everything into exactly what I always wanted it to be and so much more. Our wedding was the most picture perfect, Pinterest worthy wedding you could possibly have. When my bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquets were delivered the morning of the wedding I was brought to tears by how beautiful they were. Our arbor was stunning, the centerpieces were gorgeous, and every other detail from all the ceremony decor, to the signs, to the farmhouse tables were just amazing, and all came together beautifully. Every single flower used were the most amazing, beautiful, perfect flowers I have ever seen. I have guests telling me they have never been to a more beautiful wedding, and that every detail was just spectacular. They're all telling me what I great job I did planning, but it was all Event Designs by Katherine, and Crossed Keys Estate that made our wedding what it was. They take care of everything, and make sure your wedding is everything you always dreamed of and more. They have an amazing eye for detail, and make sure every single detail is perfect. I would highly recommend Event Designs by Katherine, they're just the best. Thank you for giving us such a beautiful wedding!

Event Designs by Katherine and the Event planning services at Crossed Keys Estate were all part of the "magic" that happens at this venue. The team crafts a special day with many options ---and the choices are all wonderful! Once the timeline is in place....the team is with the bride and groom [and Bride's family, too] all of the way. The flower designs for the arbor, tables, bouquets, etc. were all very fresh and beautifully arranged...amazing, in fact. They take ideas and make them artistically better than expected. The event planning was well-organized and coordinated to "perfection". [the guests used perfection---so, that isn't just from an overly satisfied customer!] Beautiful...simply wonderful.

We had the most beautiful wedding!! We wanted a theme of Monet wild flowers and they definitely hit the mark! My bouquet and the bridal bouquets were absolutely stunning. The table arrangements were so beautiful. WE had an arbor with wildflowers at the ceremony that we absolutely loved and made our pictures during the ceremony look incredible.
WE live outside of NJ, and Jessica easily met with us on a weekend for the initial floral proposal and communicated over email and phone to make changes. She had such great ideas, taking my vague ideas and turning them into reality!
I really appreciate that the first proposal had all of our ideas, and we were able to cut things and add things according to our budget/interests.
They do a great job!

Katherine and Jessica are wonderful to work with. My son is a designer and had a very clear vision of what he wanted for his wedding. Katherine and Jessica worked with him throughout the year of planning to bring to life and execute his vision for the wedding. Everything was perfect. Even though it rained and we had to move the ceremony inside. They made the switch seamlessly and honestly, although this was our greatest fear, they made it feel wonderful, just the way it was! We could not have been happier with our experience and the amazing results that made for an amazing day. We will be forever thankful for choosing to work with Katherine and her team at Crossed Keys. They truly made my son and daughter in law's day the best day ever!

This review is really about the talented staff as I also work for this company. I had my wedding this past August and put together a plan of things I wanted with a specific color scheme and theme and the team at Event Designs made it better than I could have dreamed. Melissa and Amanda constructed a beautiful arbor for our ceremony that I cannot stop staring at in our video and pictures. We had beautiful gauzy fabric as our runners that were laid out perfectly. Every single detail was executed perfectly and beyond what I imagined. This team deserves all the praise because they care so so much about every detail and every vision I had for this day. The Crossed Keys Estate created the most GORGEOUS wedding my husband and I could have ever imagined. We are still in shock of how perfect everything was.

When we first visited the venue, nothing else could compare to the beauty and uniqueness of the space. Throughout the planning process, we were so grateful to have Katherine and Jessica to provide us with advice, information, and creative ideas at every turn. We told the Rodriguez family our vision and they literally made it happen - we trusted them enough to give them the space to utilize their incredible creative abilities and we do not regret that decision for one second - it's almost as though they could read our minds.

On the day itself, we were initially upset because the weather did not allow for an outdoor ceremony - good thing it did not matter at all. Although it was inside, the ceremony was cozy and beautiful.

Every single guest was in awe of the beauty of the grounds, the flowers, the food, the decorations, and the service offered on the day itself. If only they also knew that when you choose crossed keys, you not only get a dream wedding, but also some new friends.

I was so terrified of having a big wedding because of how much of an introvert I am, but I didn't question this decision for a second. Thank you to the Crossed Keys Estate for making us feel like a part of their family, as they certainly became a part of ours.

Choosing Event Designs by Katherine for our wedding floral and decor was a GREAT decision. Katherine and Jessica did a fantastic job turning our dream into reality. I was confident all of the arrangements and decor were going to look amazing, having seen photos of their past work, but I was still blown away when I saw it all in person on the day of the wedding. The floral arrangements, lanterns, Edison lights, and decor for the farmhouse tables were gorgeous / above and beyond what we had envisioned. I highly recommend working with Event Designs by Katherine. Their expertise, creativity, and passion sets them apart from the rest!

Our wedding was absolutely gorgeous thanks to Event Designs by Katherine. My flowers were by far the most gorgeous flowers I have ever seen, they were exactly what I had imagined and planned out with Jessica!! I loved their system of having their brides build a Pinterest page with all of our colors and ideas. It made everything so much easier to describe when we sat to discuss the aesthetic we were looking to achieve for our big day. The bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and chuppah were all bright, fresh, and bountiful, they didn't skimp on any detail. I had a specific budget in mind and was unsure I'd be able to afford enough to make everything full looking. I'm not sure why I ever worried, Jessica nailed it, everything was perfect!

I have to admit, I know NOTHING about flowers but I had a very specific look/color scheme in mind. Katherine and team carried it out flawlessly. I am not a sappy individual but my eyes teared when I saw by bouquet. It was exactly what I had envisioned and was absolutely perfect in every way. The bridal party bouquets, the corsages, the boutonnieres and the décor around the venue all matched perfectly without being redundant. Her use of multiple different flowers within the same color family made sure everything matched without being boring. Again, knowing nothing about flowers the only information I gave was color and one picture of a bouquet and I can honestly say I had the most beautiful flowers I could have imagined. I highly recommend using them as a florist.

The most beautiful arrangements and use of floral decor! Prior to our wedding day we talked about the floral decor and saw examples and pictures, but to see everything come together so flawlessly on the day of it's truly magical. Katherine and Jessica are very informative and honest, not to mention talented. When it came down to floral color options they educated us on how the hues can vary and this helped us to make choices that we loved. They listened and incorporated our ideas and were happy to offer their own. We were very blessed to work with them and absolutely loved our floral decor!!

Katherine and Jessica were so amazing to work with and made the entire planning process an easy one. I had a vision (think romantic, vintage, blush/gold/ivory colors) but I had a hard time putting it into words. Jessica knew exactly what to do and never once made me question the outcome. My daughter's choice for her flowers was unusual so I was unsure of how they would turn out; some flowers were difficult to get and her color choices were a bit of a challange. As a recent bride at CK, I can't think of a more picturesque place to have your wedding. CK is beyond idyllic in every way. Katherine and her team work tirelessly to meet every need you may have. Katherine planned almost our entire wedding from the decor to the floral arrangements. Although my husband and I had a lot of ideas of what we wanted to be included and how we wanted our wedding to look, Katherine took those ideas and made them even better. Every little detail was perfect. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous! They were exactly what we wanted: bright and fun while still remaining tasteful. She also created succulent escort cards, cake pop favors, chalkboard signs, and a popcorn and drink cart for before the ceremony (to name a few details). Above all, we wanted a unique and fun wedding with nothing that seemed cliche or overdone, and Katherine delivered more than we ever expected! If you have the opportunity to have a wedding planner, I highly recommend Katherine. She made the wedding planning fun and the actual wedding day a joy. We didn't have to worry about anything due to her professionalism and expert planning.

I've been trying to sum up all of the wonderful/great/impressed feelings I had after our wedding at the Crossed Keys and NEED to say that I could not have been happier with how everything went. It is such a magical place and now holds a special place in my and my husband's heart. We constantly still get told that our wedding was the best they've ever been to and I have to admit that while the dress and the music and the people played a big role, it hands down was because of the Crossed Keys and everything they put into the wedding. From a picturesque venue, to the most amazing (not exaggerating) food ever made (mac and cheese balls!), to the flower arrangements (I cried when I first saw my bouquet), and to the amazing Katherine who took care of everything and was so efficient and organized that I had zero worry the day of and leading up to the big day. She helped and really just made the day perfect. At the end of the day, we felt at home, we felt like family, and what else would you want from a place that will forever be that special memory you have for a lifetime. Thank you Crossed Keys!

The flowers at Crossed Keys Inn… AMAZING! I communicated that our decor was rustic yet chic, classy but no-nonsense, meaning something simple yet still being uniquely beautiful. Not only did they deliver, they went above and beyond. Our flowers were absolutely gorgeous and precisely what I had envisioned for my wedding. Katherine called me the day before the wedding and told me about these gorgeous peonies that just bloomed in their garden, and would I like to have some in my bouquet? Yes, please. People typically don't notice flowers at a wedding (unless you're female), but we had guests comment specifically on the flowers. Everything was amazing, exactly what I had wanted. It was a dream come true.

Wow! That is the word for Crossed Keys Inn. My daughter was looking for a rustic farm venue and we never thought that we would find this is New Jersey but we certainly did. From the moment we stepped onto the property we knew that we had found someplace special. All of the hopes that we had for the perfect day were fulfilled. Katherine and her staff provided wonderful service and the food was excellent. All of our guests raved about everything from the setting to the décor to the food. The firepit and s'mores at the end were a surprise to all.

From day one of meeting Katherine, she made me feel so special. She remembered little details of my life and brought them up at future meetings. It really made me feel that she was going to make my wedding personal. It was perfect!

I asked for texture in my bouquet and it was stunning! The texture and the colors were so beautiful and unique! I could not stop looking at my bouquet. My bridal party loved their bouquets too! The pops of color stood out yet complemented my color scheme.

The center pieces were beautiful, classic and fit in perfectly with the feel of the wedding. I look at pictures of the tables and it looks like it belongs in a magazine. I was able to bring in items that I found while shopping and Katherine incorporated them in to the design beautifully.

Katherine was able to give me the dream event designate at I had always wanted.

Event designs by Katherine exceeded my expecations in every way. In selecting a florist for our wedding, I weighed less in the decision than my mother who previously owned her own floral business and had worked with many florists on weddings in the past. To find a florist who could impress my mother was a task I thought would be next to impossible to achieve. However, after the very first conversation with Katherine, my mother was very impressed and we decided to use Event design by Katherine.
I had a vision for what my bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets, boutinerres, centerpieces, etc would look like, but had no idea how to communicate this vision. But in pointing to pictures from her portfolio, pintrest, etc. she just understood what I envisioned. And it was beyond just the flowers!
The table decorations, the lighting, the menu boards... everything that I could have wanted she made possible.
Finding a florist to make your dream become a reality is a testament of TRUST. I had to trust that Katherine wouldn't just hear what I wanted, but would truly listen to make sure that she completely understood my vision. That is EXACTLY what she did. And then she and her team worked their magic and produced a product that was beyond our expectations.
Florals arrangements and wedding decorations are where you are most able to personalize your wedding. Our decision to use Katherine was a great one and we would recommend her to all of our friends.

This is a spectacular venue! It is absolutely beautiful and a perfect place for a wedding! Everything you need is here: a charming country inn, an historic barn and stone cottage, fabulous floral gardens and idyllic fields. How wonderful to spend the entire day there, everyone milling about on a gorgeous fall day and playing cornhole in the fields during the reception! Some folks sat by the fire pit. Celso’s catering was the best we’ve ever had! Seriously! Everyone raved about the food! But it was really Katherine who made the day special. Our guests made a point to confirm this with us. Katherine is a gem! She is a lovely, spirited and gracious person who worked tirelessly to make the wedding so special! I was reluctant to rely on someone I didn’t know well. I quickly realized how capable and knowledgeable she is. And how artistic and creative! Katherine’s Dahlia gardens are spectacular! She made the bouquets and table arrangements blend the rustic scenery with the elegance of the event. She is full of ideas for every aspect and she is happy to share them with you even if it means less income for her. Her priority is making the event successful for her clients, not forcing her ideas on them. Our daughter is an interior designer and had many opinions regarding how the venue should look. Katherine was adept and easily worked with her to plan and produce her wedding. Katherine’s integrity and honesty, along with her enthusiasm, make it easy for clients to work with her. She is so pleasant to work with! Even when she has to remind people of the rules, she does so in a gentle but firm manner that works wonders to smooth away any hard feelings and restore smiles! Behind the scenes, Katherine is a dynamo and worked hard to produce the event every step of the way so that we didn’t have to concentrate at all on how things were going. We instead got to mingle with our guests and enjoy ourselves while Katherine worked her magic! That, to me, is the goal of a perfect event!

My daughter's wedding was everything we hoped for and more! Katherine knew just what to do to make the venue look spectacular and memorable. She recommended bright lanterns for the ceiling of the tented reception, then the flowers on each table had a bright, country theme that made the whole area look so colorful and festive. As we worked with Katherine and her daughter, Jessica, they made recommendations based on our desires and requested theme for the wedding. My husband and I hired Katherine & Jessica Rodriguez, the creative masterminds behind Event Designs by Katherine, to provide floral and decor for our wedding at the lovely Crossed Keys Inn in Andover, NJ (a venue owned by the wonderful Rodriguez family). All of my guests were blown away by the design - a vintage, country-chic look for an outdoor summer wedding in the beautiful Crossed Keys tent.

Now, I don't know flowers. I know what I THINK looks pretty and I had an idea of the colors I might want for my bouquets and centerpieces, but I have no clue what flowers work well together, what's in season at any given time, etc. But, I knew I didn't have to worry about that! I had seen the work of Event Designs by Katherine in several online photo albums and was so confident in the creativity and professionalism of both Jessica and Katherine that all I had to do was meet with Jessica once, tell her my color scheme and budget and the outcome was gorgeous bouquets and centerpiece design, a simply decorated yet breathtaking tent for the reception and an all around happy couple. :)

Not only is their work extremely beautiful and right on the money with what I had envisioned, they are a lovely team to work with and they helped ease the stress of wedding planning to make it an overall fun, happy and seamless process.

We had our wedding at Crossed Keys in July 2013 and used Katherine and Jessica's expertise on the flowers and decor as well. Everything turned out beautifully. I was able to show Jessica photos of flowers and arrangements I'd seen elsewhere and they did a fabulous job creating the same effect. In addition to the flowers on the tables, we were able to include shepherd hooks with hanging ball jars filled with flowers along the aisle for the ceremony, which we loved. The tables in the tent were so so lovely - elegant but also organic and natural, candlelit in the early evening with white milk glasses and pale blue vases of wild flowers. It was the outdoor summer dinner party I've always dreamed of throwing, and I couldn't have done it without Katherine and Jessica.

Katherine and Jessica have an uncanny ability to listen to what you are saying and make it happen. They took all of my little ideas and details and brought them to life. They searched for the perfect lace to complete my burlap and lace table runners, acquired bushels of raw cotton to use as accents in the table arrangements, hung huge navy, peach, and white lanterns from the center of the tent, and just want above and beyond every expectation I had.

When it comes to flowers and decor, Katherine and Jessica are an absolute dream team! They took our vision and ran with it. They indulged our every whim and we can't imagine that any other place would have done as an amazing job as they did.Several people have already told us that ours was the classiest wedding that they have ever attended. This would of course not be possible with these two ladies and their immense talent. Thank you so much for giving us the wedding we have always dreamed of.

The compliments from friends and family have not stopped pouring in!! Katherine walked us through the whole process of deciding what our flowers would be (from choosing an overall look to making sure each and every flower was exactly what we wanted). We had a budget to stick to and she not only stuck to it, but came up with the most creative, gorgeous bouquets, centerpieces, boutineirs, and extra decorations. I absolutely recommend Event Designs by Katherine to anyone and everyone. She has a creative eye and a nack for coming up with masterpieces to fit every style and budget!!! Thank you so much!!!

After visiting Crossed Keys my daughter knew it would be the perfect backdrop for the wedding of her dreams. At the top of her list were the flowers and general feel of the decor. Katherine and Jessica listened graciously, as if we were the only wedding they would plan for. My daughter's hope was that the flowers would have a "fresh from the garden", yet elegant, feel to them, (Just like Crossed Keys does!). No huge, banquet style arrangements for my daughter and her fiancee! Katherine & Jessica designed the sweetest, loveliest, just perfect flowers which included the very flowers my daughter had mentioned on our very first visit more than a year before. Katherine also helped us to choose the colors of the lanterns which hung from the gorgeous white tent. What a stunning sight as our guests arrived! I still feel goosebumps as I recall how beautiful it all was!

Amazing!! All the flowers were AMAZING!! In fact, my mother-in-law was going to make my bouquet and all the boutineers but had to have emergency surgery 2 days before the wedding. I called Katherine in a panic and she calmly told me not to worry. I also had to add on 5 wrist corsages the last week before the wedding and it was no problem. They were beautifully done and EXACTLY what I asked for!! I wanted to string my sisters rosary beads on my bouquet (she passed away) and this was very important to me. Jessica carefully and delicately pinned them around my gorgeous bouquet so perfectly- I can't thank her enough!

We also used Event Designs by Katherine for our centerpieces, aisle markers, cake decorations and some other here and there flower arrangements. Everything was stunning!! I couldn't have asked for me. You will be lucky to have Event Designs by Katherine for your wedding- they were more than accommodating and so easy to work with and most importantly, there was no a single wilted flower or bad thing I could say. It was perfect!

Event Designs by Katherine created the most beautiful day for my daughter's recent wedding. All of the details helped to make the bride and groom's vision a reality. The colors were perfect and no written description could really do justice to the beauty of the floral arrangements.

Katherine and Jessica really love what they do and put their heart and soul into the planning and execution of their designs and it shows. They were also very gracious and accommodating when we needed to add a number of additional items to be made with just two days notice! They are truly a class act!

My fiancée (now husband!) and I first visited Crossed Keys Inn during a downpour on a dreary, cold November Day - far from the ideal conditions for visiting an outdoor garden venue. Nevertheless, we had a very specific idea of what we wanted for our wedding and Katherine saw it in clear focus right along with us.

We wanted something unique- the idea of a cookie cutter, "choose package a, b, or c" venue was not us. We planned our Crossed Keys wedding from California and we were able to customize our entire day with Katherine or Jessica promptly responding to every email or phone call, greatly simplifying the planning process for us.

Our flowers were PERFECT! Perfect, perfect, perfect! I asked (begged!) Katherine to help tone down extremely bright bridesmaid dresses. She came through big time! My bouquet was beautiful too, I had no idea what I wanted but I emailed Katherine about 50 pictures and she made it perfect! The mom's and guys flowers were great too!

Event Designs by Katherine handled our wedding with professionalism, creativity and a true sense of desire to make our vision a reality. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and Event Designs by Katherine completely surpassed our expectations!

The flowers for my wedding were OUTSTANDING!! Katherine has a natural gift for floral design and event decor!! I brought a few visuals and we talked about the ideas and colors I had wanted and then she ran with it! I had 100% trust in what I was going to see on the day of the wedding and it blew me away! Everything was exactly what I had envisioned and more! I would highly recommend Event Designs by Katherine!!

Katherine's creativity and eye for flowers and decor is not to be matched!! I came with my ideas and she made them all into the most beautiful reality!!! Whether you have a wedding at the Crossed Keys or an outside venue I don't think any event planner/ florist could come close to Event Designs by Katherine in meeting your expectations and calming your nerves. She is absolutely the best from professionalism to customer service to creativity down to every last detail!!!

Katherine did a beautiful job fulfilling my daughter's vision of her wedding. We collected vintage apothecary bottles and jars and Katherine created groupings for a very vintage and romantic look. Absolutely lovely. It is now 2 weeks since the wedding and I actually still have some of the flowers left from the centerpieces. Now that's fresh!

Katherine and Jessica are full of great ideas. I had the pleasure of working with them in creating all of the floral arrangements for my wedding that took place on July 23 this year! I don't even have the words to describe how beautiful all of the floral arrangements turned out. I always wanted a wishing tree in lieu of a signing book... Katherine took my vision and made it a reality. She gave me great suggestions and I was more than happy to see the finished products. Jessica and Katherine listened to my ideas, we worked so well together, from my bouquet, my bridesmaid bouquets, the boutonnieres, the roses hanging from the balcony, the mason jars filled with flowers hanging from shepherd hooks, the BEAUTIFUL center pieces, the wishing tree, etc... From Centerpieces, Bouquets, and so much more everything was perfect and so gorgeous! The purples and greens of the flowers were more beautiful then I imagined and the sunflowers on the balcony were breath-taking!
I just received the pictures from my photographer and they are unbelievable. I can not thank Katherine enough for everything she did!

It was great dealing with Katherine and Jessica. We had several appointments going over what flowers and the particular vessel that my daughter Stacy wanted. They are the most professional an flexible team. The centerpieces were beyond beautiful and everything that my daughter pictured came true on her Wedding day!

Katherine did an amazing job on our flower arrangements. All of the flowers were exactly as I had envisioned them to be. Katherine is very creative and has a great eye for decor which made the planning process very easy for us. She was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had and dealt with everything in a very professional manner.

The floral arrangements were impeccable! Katherine worked with me to achieve the vintage country theme that I had imagined. She has keen eye and amazing taste!!! I was blown away when I saw my bouquet the morning of the wedding ... so perfect and exactly as described! We've received so many compliments on the arrangements and overall decor. Katherine and her team created the most beautiful bouquets and arrangements for my wedding! It was exactly what i wanted, elegant and chic! The runners she got for me matched the silver chargers and the mint julep cups that the center pieces were in perfectly! I had a vision for this wedding that could not have been met without the right decor and everything came out gorgeous!

I should start this review off by saying, I am a flower person. I absolutely adore them and they were a huge item for me on my wedding day. I had a very particular vision and I can say with absolute confidence that Katherine delivered. I have zero complaints. They were stunning and fresh and exactly what I wanted. I am only sad they didn't last forever.

As for the event planning aspect of this review, I can say that I almost don't have a comment because everything was so easy and effortless. My tip for anyone working with Katherine is to communicate exactly what you want and ask for anything and she will likely make it happen. I specified a particular timeline for the day and they stuck to it. Katherine was on top of everything. When the event ended, all of our things we were meant to bring home with us were neatly organized and packaged up and ready to go. I did not worry once on the day of about the wedding's execution and that is invaluable.

The flowers and decor by Event Designs by Katherine were absolutely stunning! Katherine was amazing to work with. She listened to my vision and desires, offered suggestions (many amazing and incredible suggestions) and we came to the final design together. The bouquets were stunning and exactly as requested.

Also, the day of the wedding she thought that the tables looked flat without a runner (I previously had said no runner) and so she set up two tables - one with a runner and one without and had me come check them out. She was absolutely right that the table with the runner popped more and we went with that one. She is always thinking and offering choices, but in the end, if I had really wanted the tables without the runner, she would have respected my choice. But she is the professional and her creativity and artistry is what I relied on her for!! She is a true artist and creative genius, playing with textures and unusual flowers.

I cannot recommend enough!! Truly one of a kind work.

Katherine and Jessica were so great to work with! I was hesitant at first because of the cost, but knowing that everything was good hands and not having to worry about it was well worth the money! Jessica is so talented and was incredibly helpful during our initial meeting when we didn't have a full vision of what we wanted yet. On the day of the wedding, we just dropped off a bunch of items for decor, and she put it all together perfectly! It was better than I could've imagine. Thank you!

Loved working with Jessica as our florist! We were married at Liberty House in Jersey City and worked with Jessica to design centerpieces for our reception and floral decor for our ceremony. She was always available for questions and last minute concerns (which was amazing, considering the fact that she got married two weeks before us!) patient with issues, and offered flexibility so that we could stay in our floral budget. Beyond her beautiful creative vision and fresh, vivid flowers, I was very please with the organized communication of pricing and planning. The proposal doc Jessica compiled and updated throughout our planning process was so helpful. Thank you Jessica for making our day beautiful : )

We were married on 8/10/13 at Crossed Keys Inn - run by Katherine Rodriguez and her wonderful family - and could not have been happier with our experience. From the outset, Katherine and her daughter Jessica were lovely and incredibly helpful. Although we didn't know exactly what we wanted at first, Katherine and Jessica helped us pinpoint, fine tune and seamlessly execute our vision - a romantic, chic summer wedding, complete with antique books and furniture, and a touch a soft pink throughout. Jessica was incredibly flexible and did an unbelievable job with the elegant floral design and decor; the food, planned and prepared by Celso's Caterers (part of the family business and run by Katherine's husband and son), was delectable - from cocktail hour straight through to the beautiful cake and everything in between; and the day-of execution was incredibly professional, warm and loving. Katherine and Jessica stuck by us all day to ensure we had everything we needed, and although we know they worked incredibly hard that entire day, from our perspective, everything appeared as if it just flowed so naturally. Literally, every single guest came up to us at some point during the evening and said it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been to. We couldn't agree more! We had the exact day we had always dreamed of, full of great food, music, love and joy, and our entire family is still buzzing weeks after the event. PLUS...the inn, itself, is absolutely perfect. Both of our immediate families stayed at the inn the nights before and after the wedding and it felt as if we were all one big happy family, including our hosts. If you want a chic, beautiful, family-like experience in a venue that is completely unique and naturally breathtaking (our pictures are UNBELIEVABLE!), we HIGHLY recommend Crossed Keys Inn. With Katherine, Jessica and their entire family's help, It was an unbelievable experience that perfectly represented our style. It was worth every penny!!!

Katherine and Jessica did a beautiful job on the flowers/decor. After sharing our very specific vision for a "country vintage" wedding they delivered to a T. We had also purchased a number of our own items that they incorporated throughout the venue seamlessly.

We got rave reviews from our guests on the decor and mention of how our personalities were captured in every detail which was really important to us.

Now if I only knew what to do with my bouquet, I loved it so much I don't want to throw it out!!

Katherine and her team did a superb job with our wedding. The guests continue to rave about how charming the setting was, how beautiful the flowers were, and how relaxed the event felt. All of these successes were due to the Crossed Keys team, who are very skilled in the event-planning acrobatics of tent-decorating, table-setting, making sure things go according to plan, etc. The floral design and lanterns for the tent looked exquisite. Katherine has access to a garden full of a variety of dahlias that make for gorgeous centerpieces and bouquets. Her flower arrangements are the prettiest mix of unique and balanced options to complement the bridal color theme. The garden is just one special aspect of the Crossed Keys grounds, which makes for the ideal naturally beautiful rustic venue, if you want an outdoor wedding. Though this option comes with its weather-related worries, the team at Crossed Keys is equipped to handle rain and other inclement circumstances. The venue turned out to be perfect for our eclectic group of guests, which included about two dozen kids under the age of 16. The grounds offered plenty of space for them to run around and play. We only wish that Katherine had been a bit more upfront with us about the various costs and options for the wedding, which would have saved all of us the time and headache of having to negotiate often. But that is a minor complaint. Katherine puts on a great show, and we're extremely pleased we had our wedding at her venue.
