We had a great experience with this beautiful venue!! Candace goes above and beyond. She communicates well and does way more for you than what you sign up for! My husband and I appreciate her and her staff so much. I cannot say enough good things about this venue to truly express how much I appreciate everything they did for us.
We experienced a rainy wedding day and despite all the last minute changes, our experience was nothing less than perfect thanks Candace and the venue staff!Cross Key Acres's reply:

The Best Kept Secret!!
Not really a secret, just a beautiful venue off the main road where you feel that you are at a country estate. The setting makes for a beautiful wedding day, and Candace is such a professional and seamless to work with. My family highly recommends Cross Key Acres!! Happy memories made!! -

Amazing Venue
As a military couple, we had to plan our wedding while being out of state. The moment we hopped on a videocall to tour the venue, Candace was amazing. This venue was exactly what we wanted, close to our family/friends, country feel (while close to the city), and Candace provided the flexibility to make the barn "ours". Working with her gave us peace of mind and it all turned out beautifully! -

Cross Key Acres went above and beyond for us! Candace and her family are so kind. Any last minute problems I had, they handled on the spot. Not to mention the house and outdoor barn are absolutely gorgeous. What more could you really ask for?! -

Beautiful Wedding Venue and Wonderful Experience
Cross Key was exactly what my daughter wanted for her wedding. From the beautiful outdoor ceremony and grounds , lovely and comfortable home for getting ready and amazing indoor reception area it made for a magical wedding and sweet memories. Candace is super to work with and so helpful during planning. The day of when there were some last minute unexpected changes to be made Candace was so accommodating fo make sure all was perfect. Would highly recommend! -

Candace made planning a wedding from another state as easy as possible, from the booking process to the little day-of details that make all of the difference. Candace was always responsive via text and/or email and felt like a lifelong friend the moment I met her. Candace and her team will go out of the way to make sure your day is just as you want it! Affordable, Great venue and great preferred vendors.
We wanted a beautiful, affordable outdoor space for a wedding under 100 people. This place was perfect. All the details were taken care of. As a parent of the bride we were happy to use the preferred vendors. They were top notch. I was so glad that most things were taken care of! There are weather plans in place in the event you need to move your event indoors. Candace took care of everything. She always had an answer to deal with things that happened. I would highly recommend Cross Key Acres. Thank you Candace for helping make the wedding day perfect. -

Absolutely beautiful venue
This venue is a hidden gem. Set way back off the main road, this venue is a beautiful place to hold your wedding and/or reception. Candace, the owner, is hands on 100%. She was there from the beginning of planning to the sparkler exit. She made sure everything was seamless and I didn’t have to do or think about anything. It was worth the price. We got tons of compliments from our guests on how beautiful it was. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding and/or reception. -

Daughters Dream come True!!
Honestly can't say enough about Candace and Cross Key Acres! We had looked at several venues before we found this one! And it was perfect! Candace is the whole package, literally! The venue is beautiful, the facility for getting ready and wedding day time is so comfortable and roomy. The grounds are so pretty and Candace makes sure that every detail is attended to, the caterer, bar, dj, valet, security... all the needs for your day! And she and her staff are so professional and personable! If you want a Beautiful day, with No worries and tons of attention, I recommend Cross Key Acres! You won't regret it!! -

Having our wedding at Cross Key Acres was the best decision we could have ever made. Candace was so helpful and always quick to respond. Our wedding was perfectly seamless because of all her hard work beforehand and during the day. Kind and reasonable despite changing circumstances
My wedding was first scheduled for March 28, 2020. Yep... I was a Covid bride. Less than 2 weeks before my date, I had to postpone my wedding.
That was an incredibly stressful time. Thanks to Candace and Cross Key Acres, I was reassured that I would be able to reschedule. I was touched by how kind and willing to work with me Candace was. She allowed me to push my date back twice! It was clear that she and her team, although they no doubt suffered losses from this ordeal with Covid, are not just in this for the money. They actually care about their brides and grooms.
On September 27th, we finally had our day! Once again, Candace was a big help in making sure everything ran smoothly. I am so incredibly glad I chose this venue. My pictures came out absolutely gorgeous, and so many of my friends have said, “where is this place? It looks amazing!!”
I can highly recommend Cross Key Acres. I consider them the best vendor I worked with, and you won’t regret choosing them!!Cross Key Acres's reply:

Absolutely amazing! I can’t say enough great things about my experience at Cross Key Acres!
We are SO glad we chose Cross Key Acres as our venue for our wedding reception. The setting was exactly what we were looking for with the beautiful, rustic barn vibe. The barn structure was perfect because it is enclosed with AC (or heating depending on time of year) and it has clear walls so you can see the beautiful 15 acres of land. Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful, but the owner, Candace, was amazing to work with. She was available by text, phone call, or email pretty much any time. She used to be a photographer, so she knows the wedding industry really well and has a great list of preferred vendors that we used. Planning a wedding can be tough, especially on a tight budget, but having Candace as our go to person for any questions made it a lot less stressful. I cannot speak highly enough of Candace and her family. She has a lot of decorations that you can use which saved us a lot of time and money. She took care of everything the day of to make sure everything ran smoothly. I saw a picture on her instagram of these cute wooden signs on the side of the road leading to the venue. Each sign had the "Love is patient, Love is Kind" bible verse so the guests can read them as they drive in. I had asked her about them ahead of time since I saw them on instagram from a previous wedding at Cross Keys. She had let us know that she did not own those signs and they were a previous bride's decor but she said the bride now rents them out if we wanted to do that. We loved the idea but we were already over our budget so we decided to pass on them. On our wedding day as we were driving up to the reception, we saw that the signs were there! She went out of her way and rented the signs on her own to surprise us! That is just one of the many examples I could give of how Candace went above and beyond to make our wedding and the entire planning process wonderful and a lot less stressful. Another example of how awesome they are....We provided our own alcohol for the reception and about an hour into our reception she let us know that we only had about 2 cases of beer left! We thought that we had bought more than enough, but it was a hot day and everyone was drinking beer instead of the wine. Her husband ended up running to the store to pick up several more cases so that we wouldn't run out. Otherwise, we would have had to bug one of our family members or friends to leave the reception to pick it up. I highly recommend anyone having their wedding/reception at Cross Key Acres! You will not be disappointed!Cross Key Acres's reply:

Cross Key Acres, and it’s owner, Candace, were absolute TOP NOTCH in every sense of the word/phrase! She was always available, whether it be for something with logistics or just for a quick opinion or piece of advice! She goes above and beyond to make your special day the best it can possibly be! I’ll just give an example: About halfway through our reception, she came up to me and said we were down to only a couple cases of beer left, and she offered to have her husband go out and get more for us! To give that much care and attention to something like that meant so much to us, and truly made us feel like family and not “clients.” I recommend Cross Key Acres 1000% and if you have the chance, go check it out! -

Cross Key Acres is not only a beautiful place to have your wedding but the family that runs the venue feels like your own family. Candace thinks of everything, helps you with all your needs and even acts as the day of coordinator. The ideal venue
I would venture and say that Cross Key Acres is possibly the best wedding venue in the Houston area, and most definitely the south-west region. Unlike a number of venues which tend to look a bit over-done and artificial, this place has a simplistic beauty that feels so natural and romantic. There was no need to really decorate, because the place itself was gorgeous on its own. On top of this, the staff, and specifically Candace herself, are top notch. Candace has such an expertise with weddings after years of being a wedding photographer, and she knows exactly what it takes to pull off a beautiful wedding seamlessly (and she gives that advice freely). The gorgeous lawn, quaint home, beautiful pavilion, towering trees, and valet service (I could go on) makes this venue just perfect. You may overlook this place like I did initially, because there aren't any pictures on the knot (or at least weren't when I was looking) and not a ton of reviews, but trust me. Look up their website and go take a visit to the Richmond/Sugarland area. You will not be sorry. I think that's it, but Candace, if you're reading this, you have an incredible place there and the way you authentically engage with people is so refreshing. Do not change a thing. :) -
