LOVE this venue!!

My husband and I just got married at Powel Crosley at the end of April and it was perfect! Our guests still can't stop raving at how beautiful of a venue it really is. We worked with JoAnna and Olivia throughout our wedding planning process and they were easy to work with and friendly. We love Powel Crosley and are so glad that this is where we got married!

Beautiful Venue, Worth the Cost

From the beginning we knew we wanted an old mansion, great Gatsby, kind of vibe. We looked at SO MANY venues in Florida and most of them that we looked at are in Central Florida, the venues are always stunning, but the surrounding area was never a place we really loved.
With Powel Crosley, not only did we get a STUNNING venue, but the surrounding area alone makes it so worth it. All the staff were wonderful and so helpful, and the house, of course, is stunning.
Getting the venue is a bit tricky, and requires you to send a lot of emails at midnight 18 months in advance. But, it really is worth it. Even if you don't get the date you want.

Stunning venue!

We got married here and it was the absolute best decision we made! This place is just STUNNING!! The photos do not do this place justice. When I saw it for the first time in person at my rehearsal I was just in awe! I fell in love with this place the second we got there. It is the most beautiful venue I have ever seen and it truly felt like a "fairytale wedding" The views are gorgeous, the grounds are gorgeous, and we had an amazing sunset the evening of our wedding. We will never forget this place and our wedding here was truly a dream come true!

Everyone loved the place and the spectacular view!

The place is drop dead gorgeous and perfect for the Exactly the wedding we wanted!! We just loved the beautiful views during ceremony and the pictures inside the venue are breathe taking!!

Beautiful & helpful

So happy I chose this venue for our wedding! It was beautiful and everyone was very courteous and kind. Very communicative during all the Covid rules changing constantly. The staff breaking everything down stopped what they were doing to help my mom find her phone she lost. They even were walking on the lawn looking in the grass in the dark.

Fairytale wedding

The Powel estate helped us create our fairy tale wedding. We immediately fell in love with this venue and I’m SO glad we chose it! Joanna was wonderful to work with and she was so prompt with replies and flexibility once we had to move our date. Brides you HAVE to at least tour this place when looking at venues.

Fantastic!

Powel Crosley Estate is a one of a kind wedding venue. Nestled on a private lot on Sarasota Bay, it’s a perfect wedding setting! JoAnna and her staff were a pleasure to work with. Our daughter’s wedding evening there even included a visit from a mama and baby manatee. Multiple guests commented on the beauty of this venue:) Highly recommend!

Perfect setting for the most elegant wedding

We had our wedding at Powel Crosley last week and it was absolutely perfect! JoAnna was super helpful during the planning process as well as the on-site staff the day off. We rented extra hours so that the bridal party could get ready there and between the bridal suite and the library there was plenty of room for my large bridal party to hang out (9 bridesmaids, 3 flower girls, 2 mothers). The scenery is amazing and makes for the most elegant photos. The estate speaks for itself and our guests could not stop commenting on how beautiful it was. We lucked out with perfect weather. Highly recommend this venue!

Amazing!!!!!!

My husband and I had our wedding on January 31st 2021 and everything was just as perfect as we imagined. All the onsite staff was super helpful and we were absolutely blown away about how beautiful the venue was. JoAnna was so amazing and always fast with responses, helping with any question my mom and I had and overall a huge blessing to be working with. So beautiful!

We loved having our wedding at the Crosley! It was so beautiful and such an exquisite place to host our big day! The communication leading up to our big day was awesome and we felt that they were very clear and willing to work with us to make our day all that it was! Incredible venue!

I can’t say enough good things about the Powel Crosley! Not only is it the most gorgeous venue ever (I know, I’m biased) but the staff was so helpful and easy to work with. JoAnna and Anne were wonderful at making sure we had everything booked and detailed leading up to the event, and everything went so smoothly on the day off. They were always super accessible and easy to communicate with, especially with changing hours, alcohol orders, and adding items to our invoice. I’m so appreciative we chose to get married at the Crosley, it was truly a perfect day!

Beautiful Wedding Venue

The Powel Crosley Estate is a gorgeous, wedding venue either for outdoor or indoor wedding. It has several beautiful spots where you can do a ceremony, inside it has bride's room and groom's room, beautiful balcony upstairs where you can do an incredible pictures and much much more. I highly recommend you to go to the site and see it's beauty yourself. One suggestion-book in advance, far in advance because weekends goes fast at this venue. Booking process and working with Powel Crosley event coordinators was easy and pleasant, we did not have any issues and our wedding day went completely perfect. We loved it!

A dream venue

This venue had everything I wanted. I knew it was the one before we even looked at it in person from photos alone. The weather we had was absolutely perfect and everyone took great care of us. Amazing Venue

We had been planning our wedding for well over a year. The big thing was to make sure we had the venue of our dreams. The Powel Crosely Estate did that and then some. Not only did the venue stick out because of how beautiful it was, the staff was extremely understanding, transparent, and helpful they were through the process. Anytime we had a question, they were always right there either with an answer or at least letting us know that he was looking into it and would get back to us as soon as possible. When it came to the day of the event the venue was absolutely perfect the staff was extremely helpful and almost all of the guests commented on how perfect the night was and how beautiful the venue was all set up. The staff of the Powel really helped make our day absolutely perfect so the we didn't have to worry about a thing. Words really can't do justice for the service that they provided but we thank you

Everything we could dream of and more!

From the moment we walked in to the Crosley, we knew it was the venue we had dreamed of! It provided us with everything we wanted and more. We had our ceremony on the Loggia and the reception dinner on the lawn and everything was absolutely perfect. While the Crosley can’t control the weather, we had a gorgeous Floria evening and the Crosley looks unreal with a beautiful sunset as the backdrop. Our contact, Samantha, was fantastic to work with and very responsive. In short, The Crosley was the venue of our dreams and staff were all extremely easy to work with and accommodating to make our day so special.

The Powel Crosley Estate was the setting for our daughter’s recent wedding and reception in Sarasota. This was an absolutely magnificent and magical venue; an elegant and meticulously preserved mansion from the twenties, with a full open view of the Sarasota Bay. The staff at the Bradenton Area Convention Center, who manage the estate, were at all times, cordial, helpful and informative. We couldn’t have been more thrilled to host our guests at this fabulous venue!

We could not have picked a more perfect venue at the Powel Crosley Estate! Our search for an indoor/outdoor, waterfront venue (that wasn't on a beach) began two years ago. We visited locations all over Florida from the Keys, to Boca Grande, to St. Petersburg, and our favorite venue was hands-down, the Powel Crosley. This Mediterranean-style, historic property sits on a beautiful lot of land. The driveway leading up the Estate is just enchanting, almost like you're entering a fairytale! Even before touring the inside of the Estate, we knew we found our match. Not only is this place stunningly beautiful, but it is very ideal for your guests. Over half of our guests were from out-of-town, and there's plenty of nearby accommodations, along with restaurants and activities in downtown Sarasota and St. Armand's Circle to keep them busy during their stay (also making for a plethora of rehearsal dinner venue options). There's parking at the venue, too. In our opinion, the best part of having our wedding at the Estate is that we got the entire property to ourselves for the day! Having a private and secluded event was very important for us considering we wanted an outdoor ceremony and reception.

Our ceremony was beautiful, even though it lightly rained throughout. Our cocktail hour was inside, giving guests time to regroup. By the time our reception began, the overcast skies cleared to make way for a gorgeous sunset. It was more romantic than I ever dreamed. Our lighting over the patio and lawn looked amazing and really contributed to our overall theme. We loved our day so much, we wish we could relive it a million times over! Thank you to the staff at the Powel Crosley for a smooth, flawless, event and for your friendly and transparent customer service. It was such a joy to work with you all! I know our guests, and especially my husband and I will forever hold a dear memory in our hearts of this place and our absolutely perfect wedding!

This is the most perfect venue! We had a beautiful wedding on the lawn and there was a wonderful sunset. The pictures are gorgeous! We worked with Tonya Kida and she was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend this venue!

This venue was lovely! There isn't much that is needed to dress it up. I was able to get most of my questions answered early on, prior to being assigned my event manager 30 days out from the wedding. My event coordinator was Maribeth Liberty, and she was awesome to communicate with, either by phone or email or texts.

If you'd like to tour the grounds, call and ask early so that you can get scheduled. This is not the type of place that you just drop by.

The Crosely handles all of the alcohol served on site and has their own bartender. The event manager was onsite to meet any vendors and supervise set ups and build outs. They also include in the rental several sizes and shapes of tables. Chairs, linens, and table settings must be rented through the catering company.

We have had so many compliments on the wedding venue! So many beautiful backdrops for lovely photographs. It couldn't have been a more perfect evening!

PERFECT! This is the most beautiful, romantic location for a wedding and the staff is excellent. The office was very prompt with communication prior to the wedding day. Maribeth was our on-site contact at PC and she was FANTASTIC. She was so kind, responsive and helpful from start to finish!!! It was hands down the best day of our lives. My family and friends could not believe how beautiful, fun and seamless everything was at PC…they are still raving about the beautiful venue! Thank you Maribeth and team for making our day SO PERFECT and special. We look forward to visiting this beautiful venue again in the future to reminisce about our wonderful wedding day.

Stunning, absolutely stunning .. we live in Texas and were looking for a place to get married along the Gulf Coast of Florida .. I was very happy that the Powel Crosley popped up in my google searches .. our guests are still raving about the location and its history and how it overlooks the water and gives you such a majestic feeling .. It was the perfect place to get married .. you book the venue through the city .. the process was easy and they also provide a coordinator for the day of the wedding to manage the details related to the venue .. Overall great experience !!

We recently had our wedding and reception at the Powell Crosley Estate. It is the most beautiful venue. From the mansion, to the lawn, to the bay front view, it was incredible. We utilized every part of the facility, and our guests loved it. The sunset was amazing over the bay. The staff was very helpful, we worked with Juan and he was quick to answer any questions I had. The bar staff made very good drinks. I was a little surprised they did not do a last call, I know many people were unaware of the night coming to an end and that would have been helpful. But overall, I can't say enough good things about this beautiful venue!

The Powel Crosley Estate is absolutely stunning. It was the perfect place to host our wedding and we were thrilled with how everything turned out. SO happy we decided to have our special day there. The venue was three hours away from where we live and it was incredibly worth it to take a tiny trip to the venue. We stayed out there all weekend of our wedding weekend and loved it. Sarasota is beautiful if you don't live there and you will not be sorry. There is plenty to do around the venue and your guests will have a fabulous time. You get a great value with the estate and it is worth every bit. Everything was already set up for us before we arrived the day of and everything that came in afterwards was perfect. The staff is great and very professional. They were very helpful but were not "in our way" whatsoever. We held the ceremony out on the back lawn overlooking the Sarasota bay, which was beautiful. There are lots of different spots you can have your ceremony and reception. The indoor space is just as beautiful if you are looking to have an indoor ceremony. There are several big open rooms with gorgeous architecture. We have wonderful memories of our wedding and many are associated with the venue alone. It was very special and unique and we would definitely choose it again!

The Powel Crosley Estate and staff were wonderful. The building is absolutely breathtaking and there was so much room for me and my bridesmaids to get ready in the bridal suite. My mother was allowed to bring in snacks and drinks for us and the men upstairs in the grooms room. The drinks from the bar were wonderful and they made sure we knew exactly when we about to reach our limit on the open bar. We were also allowed to have our dog Robin in the ceremony which was amazing. There is no ugly place at this venue! The pictures will be amazing.

STUNNING! The Powel Crosley Estate has to be one of the most beautiful old homes in Florida. It is picturesque and is the most amazing place to hold a wedding. I would have wanted to have mine any other place!

I stumbled across this venue on Pintrest and immediately fell in love! Once we visited the venue we knew it was everything we wanted, and when we learned it was built during the prohibition era we decided right then it was going to be a 1920s themed wedding. The location perfectly allows itself for a destination wedding as not only is the airport across the street, but there are two other airports within an hour drive of the Crosley. It's also a perfect spot to watch the breathtaking sunset over the water. The venue will manage all of the alcohol, and provides tables that you can use in lieu of renting. The only downside to this historic site is that there are a number of things you aren't allowed to do like placing rose petals (fake and real) on the ground, or having any kind of sparklers or sky lanterns, and no confetti just to name a few. My contact on the day-of was Juan and he was great making sure we had what we needed and keeping me informed on the running bar tab. The room I got ready in was spacious and gorgeously equipped with a couple vanities, a vintage couch and stunning chandelier. The venue itself is so beautiful that the decorations needed are minimal. There are also numerous picture-worthy spots at the venue such as the bamboo shoots, the big tree, the Ship Room, by the water, etc. All of my guests were in awe of how gorgeous the venue was. In fact, many of them keep asking me about the venue so that they can suggest it to their engaged friends. All in all, the Crosley Estate will leave you and your guests with an unforgettable experience!

We just had our wedding reception at the Powel Crosley on April 26th, 2014. It is an absolutely stunning estate and the perfect site for a wedding and reception. Marybeth Liberty was wonderful to work with and made the planning process absolutely stress free. We had our cocktail hour inside the estate and our reception outside on the lawn with dancing outside. We used milan catering (Alexis Alexander) for design and event planning and were able to have lights strung above the lawn with a beautiful chandelier over the dance floor. It was a magical night, especially during sunset. I am so happy we chose this as our reception site. The crosley made our wedding an absolute fairy tale.

The Powel Crosley Estate is absolutely stunning and the perfect setting for a beautiful wedding. We loved the place as soon as we visited it and knew that was the place we wanted to have our wedding! The Powel Crosley Estate is one of the most beautiful venues (if not the most beautiful) in Sarasota. When my husband and I walked into the Crosley, we knew right away that we wanted to have it as our wedding location. We put a date on hold right away. Because the Crosley is so spectacular, it is a very very popular wedding venue. I would reccomend booking as soon as you know you want this venue.

Our event manager was Meridith. She was wonderful to work with, very friendly. She made sure that everything was in order (especially the bar). For 80 guests, we did not pay a lot for alcohol. The prices are very fair.

What I love most about the Crosley is that there are so many great locations on the property to take pictures. You have the balcony, the lawn, the front of the house, banyon trees, the sailor room, steps and much more. There is also a beautiful bridal room the bride and bridesmaids can get ready in.

All in all, it was a perfect and romantic setting for a wedding.

Dawn was the initial contact at the estate. She was very helpful and informative. Maribeth is the person that is actually on the grounds. She is absolutely WONDERFUL. As much as me and my family called her and stopped by the estate, she was always helpful and never made us feel like we were a bother. She welcomed us with open arms from beginning to end! I met Bob ( takes care of the estate) a few times and he too was very helpful. He assisted with many things that other vendors would not do ex: using a ladder to hang up HIGH decorations on tress!

We had a back up plan incase it rained....it did 2 minutes after the outside ceremony ended, but NO ONE got wet! They set the bar up inside so that my guests could still enjoy their cocktails and hors o'derves.

I would recommend EVERYONE to get married at this Venue. Perfect location for wedding near/on the water

We held our wedding at the Powel Crosley Estate this past weekend. I had so many of our guests tell me that they had never seen a prettier venue. The views of the bay are breathtaking and the architecture on the house is so unique. We chose this venue because we barely had to decorate at all, it was so beautiful on its own. Dawn and Maribeth were so accommodating an easy to work with. We planned our wedding from our of state and they made it so simple. Maribeth was also so helpful on the day of our wedding. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing- so happy we chose the Crosley Estate. All of our guests kept commenting on how much they liked the venue. We were lucky we had great weather, because it would have been a little crowded inside with 130 people. The only “problem” was that there was a local meeting held early in the day while we were getting ready. It didn’t interfere with us at all- they were in the great room while the girls were in the bridal suite and they were gone before set-up started. However, Crosley still offered us compensation for the interference. This is a beautiful place to get married and great staff to work with!

The Powel Crosely Estate is by far the most beautiful venue in the Tampa/Sarasota area. We fell in love as soon as we saw the venue, but working with Maribeth made the experience even better. The Crosley Estate is the epitome of romance! The architecture, the grounds, the history! All of it is just beautiful. We were married there in late May. Our ceremony was on the lawn facing the water, centered between the two palm trees on the southwest corner of the property. We had dinner in the two dining rooms with our sweetheart table centered in front of the fireplace mantle. Our reception took place on the veranda with tables scattered on the lawn and under the gazebo. The pictures are priceless. Although Ringling is breath taking, it is no where near Crosley as you get the entire grounds. My entire wedding party got ready on our special day in the upstairs of the house. We all felt like royalty. We had the venue from early morning until midnight and had the complete run of the place. The Crosley Estate is also much more affordable than Ringling. We got a special rate due to our wedding being on Memorial Day weekend, monday.
Two tips:
Book early! Crosley books up very fast so give yourself plenty of time to get the date you want. (close to a year)
Be aware that it is an old house. We had the a/c cranked but it is hard for any building to combat the heat of late May in Florida with all the doors open. Just keep it in mind when picking your date.
If you picture a fairy-tale, secret garden-esque, wedding with a gorgeous sunset while taking advantage of Sarasota Bay's natural beauty then the Powel Crosley Estate is perfect for you!

The venue is beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. We were originally supposed to have the ceremony on the loggia, but there happened to be a torrential downpour that day so we had to shuffle everything inside, but since the great room is just as beautiful as the outside, it wasn't an issue. It didn't get too hot inside throughout the reception or ceremony either, so the air conditioning was much appreciated in a heavy gown!

This is an INCREDIBLE venue. We loved planning our wedding here from the very beginning. The event rep that they assign to you is so on top of it, very helpful, and was extremely responsive to all of our questions. The best part was the alcohol bill. We had heard negative things and we were pretty worried because we have a mixed group of light and heavy drinkers, but we only went $4 over our deposit of $20 per person. The bartenders went above and beyond to treat our guests well and made sure they were very happy the whole time and had the exact drink in their hand that they wanted. Highly recommend this venue

Anyone who has EVER been to the Powel Crosley Estate knows how absolutely amazing it is. Once we went, there was no other option for our wedding. It is a magical, enchanted place. The Estate is so beautiful on it's own, it actually doesn't even need anything - it is stunning completely empty.

Maribeth Liberty was fantastic to work with. Incredibly helpful, caring, funny. She was great - and the whole staff was a pleasure. Before our wedding, I visited the Estate about 10 times and everyone was always so sweet and friendly. The only problem with the Powel Crosley Estate is that I can't be there permanently - it was tough to leave one of my favorite places on earth.

We loved having our wedding at the Powel Crosley Estate. It was just like having it at a family member's house without all the family drama. One of the great thing about the Powel Crosley Estate is it's yours for the entire day. You don't have to worry about arriving and getting ready in an hour (something that happened to a friend of mine.) We got there as early as we could (I belive 11am) and all the girls got their hair and make-up done while the vendors and our family was helping set stuff up. It allowed for a relaxing and stress free day. The Bride's Room is big enough to relax in. The Crosley team was great to work with and they helped create a stress free enviroment (even when things got a little stressful due to weather.) It was freezing the day of the wedding and we were supposed to have our ceremony by the water and dinner on the lawn. Even with heaters it was to cold so we moved the ceremony right on the "porch" and the dinner inside. Due to the weather issues they allowed us use of the upstairs part of the venue free of charge and their staff even gave tours of the Powel Crosley museum to our guest during the event. We have gotten so many compliments about how using the Crosley and love how it allowed us to have such an intimate wedding experience for us and our guests. This is the perfect venue for a vintage bride!

The venue made for a fairy tale wedding at The Powel Crosley Estate! You can cut costs by scheduling your wedding on a weekday like I did - I saved $2,000 by having my wedding on a Monday evening. There is so much character in the 1920s architecture. Everyone loved the venue. My small 50 person wedding could fit perfectly in the great room. I have no regrets. Maribeth was no nonsense and delivered with efficiency. All of her recommendations were superb.

Exquisite! The Crosley is one of the most beautiful locations in the Tampa area for any wedding ceremony or reception. I wanted an outdoor wedding on the water but did not want to walk in sand or be at "another hotel wedding." After 8 hours of looking on the internet, we found the Crosley and knew this was it. And, it was more beautiful on our wedding day. Guest cannot stop talking about the beauty of the location. We had our wedding outside and it was hot. But, guests were able to go in and out of the Crosley and cool off as wanted. The Crosley provided the bar service, but they let you bring your own soda and water! Our coordinator Richard was great to work with! He was very responsive and made sure everything we needed was there for us. Everyone at the Crosley was nice and professional. There is no other place to have a wedding the Tampa area that is as beautiful, accommodating, and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved my venue!! DH and I spent soo long looking for a beautiful scenic venue in Tampa that was reasonably priced and that we would be the ONLY wedding that day. We could not find one that we liked, so branched out to Orlando and Sarasota. Once I saw the Crosley I was ready to book it immediately. I am so glad that we did. We got the whole place for 12hrs (11am-11pm) and you can bring your own caterer. They provided the bar service, and it is based on consumption. They even let you bring your own soda and water! That saved us a lot of money. Our coordinator Richard was so funny and great to work with! We decided to do beer, wine and soda with one signature drink. Richard literally came up with a signature drink off the top of his head, called it "Caribbean Sunset" since we were going to the Caribbean for our HM, and guess what? It matched the coral BM dresses! And it was delicious also! Everyone I worked with at the Crosley were nice and professional, and I would definitley recommend this venue.

Holding our July wedding at the Crosley was an absolute dream. As soon and my husband and I drove up to the property we knew this was where we wanted to get married. From the beautiful waterfront grounds to the exquisitely restored indoors the estate is remarkable. I absolutely loved the fact that when you rent the Powel Crosley for your wedding day you have the property to yourself the ENTIRE day! My bridal party and I spent all day in the beautiful bridal suite getting our hair and makeup done. It was so convenient we were already at the venue and had the day to relax and be pampered before the festivities. All of our guests commented on how phenomenal the venue was and that it provided the perfect intimate setting. I loved the Crosely Estate and couldn't get enough of the venue before, during and after my wedding. It's pricey, for you're only getting the venue and some tables but totally worth it...if you can do it. Though with the Crosley, you (and your vendors) do everything and that can get costly, you get a "coordinator" but they really just take your details and bar information, and are there the day of to make sure everything is running smoothly for the venue and your vendors. My coordinator though was always very helpful at answering any questions and easy to get a hold of. The Estate is perfect for an intimate or small wedding. Our guest loved how they had so much space and loved the views. We had small children and they were fine with the water and having the whole place all day was great. It was so nice to get ready there. If you are thinking about this venue keep in mind it books very fast!! They also provide a great vendor list! Thank you to John and Mary Beth for going above and beyond and being so awesome!

I started planning my wedding almost two years before our wedding date and this was the very first thing I booked! I went to several locations in the Sarasota area and the Powel Crosley was by FAR the best for your money! I fell in love and booked it immediately!

It’s owned by Manatee County and I think that it’s a definite pro. It was a relaxed process and the employees were very nice. The rules are not bad at all! I was able to have the wedding of my dreams without any major restrictions by the venue. There were a few paperwork questions along the way, but they were always quickly answered or changed. We never had any major issues.

My guests are still talking about how gorgeous the venue was. My wedding pictures are so amazing with the Crosley in the background. This location made my wedding!!!

This place is insanely beautiful! seriously. words do not do it justice- you just need to go and experience it. Great place for people who love beautiful details. Fantastic Waterfront Venue

The Powel Crosley Estate was an amazing venue, we received many compliments on it during our small Tuesday wedding! Communication was smooth via email, and the facility is well-kept and gorgeous, and didn't feel too empty for our small wedding of 40ish people. We had a swarm of sugar ants in the bride's room within one hour of putting snacks out, so don't snack in there. The most beautiful wedding venue!!

I knew from the second I toured I wanted to get married here and it did not disappoint!! You just can't beat the water view and stunning estate. The service was great and the staff was extremely professional. We got SO many compliments and people said it was like a fairytale wedding under the lights! The only downside was the limitations on what vendors we could work with and the extra fees /service charges that came with that. The cost racks up pretty quickly (especially if you have to rent a tent - thankfully we avoided this) but just know that going into it and you'll be fine! Was definitely worth investing in for the privacy and ambience.

Gorgeous venue that has it all!

The Powel Crosley Estate is gorgeous, and everything we wanted in a wedding venue! The building is historic and has so many beautiful details. We loved every room and spot inside and outside, and took so many pictures all over the property. We had our ceremony and reception outside, but using the inside was our backup plan in case of bad weather. We liked that we had that flexibility. There are some rules to follow at the venue, but they are little things we could work around (such as no sparklers). We loved that we had the beautiful water view. The sunset and nighttime under the lights outside made for an absolutely stunning atmosphere. And one of my favorite things was walking down the beautiful staircase to my groom. The venue is so well taken care of, and the staff was wonderful! JoAnna was very responsive and helpful during the planning process, despite having to navigate all of the changes during the pandemic. And the onsite staff on our wedding day was so helpful and friendly. The Crosley will always be such a special place to us!

From the moment we came across the Powel Crosley in our online search for a wedding venue, we knew it was the one. We actually secured our date and paid a deposit months before we even laid eyes on the venue, as we live out of state. I will admit that the initial stages of the planning process were made difficult by the fact that the venue is owned by the county and managed by office staff who are not on site, but once we got closer to our wedding date, we were assigned an event manager (Maribeth), who was incredible!! We talked by phone about several of the details weeks in advance and she was on site a few hours before our ceremony to make sure we had everything we needed, including extra bottles of champagne for the bridal suite. The majority of the design and planning was done by our caterer/event planning vendor (not affiliated with the Crosley in any way), so it really isn't necessary to have regular contact with anyone from the venue months in advance. The one unique thing about the Crosley is that they must provide and serve all of the alcohol for the event, so that is one area in which you must work closely with the site manager to choose your alcohol package and secure payment.

The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous in its natural state. The grounds are beautiful. If you get lucky like we did, you will have an incredible view of the sunset over Sarasota Bay during your cocktail hour/reception and dance the night away with your guests under the stars (and the beautiful chandelier we rented). There isn't much you need to do to decorate the venue aside from flowers and table settings because it is so beautiful on its own. I wish we could go back and do it all over again! It was by far the best day of our lives!

Gorgeous venue for a ceremony + reception. Traces from a bygone era are apparent throughout, with touches of wood and a Captain's room perfect for bridal shots. The estate has a sprawling lawn that overlooks Sarasota Bay. Groom's room is on complete opposite side of building from the bride's, so no chance of accidentally seeing one another. Indoor or outdoor possibilities. Couldn't have picked a better location to celebrate my nuptials.

This venue is absolutely gorgeous! Make sure to check your weather reports, because I ended up paying extra for the lawn and it rained the entire day of my wedding. They stick you with liquor and bartender fees, which sucks. And you are limited to a list of specific caterers, which also stinks, however I do recommend Madfish Grill!

The Powel Crosley Estate is such an amazing venue. We couldn't be happier with our choice to get married there. The bridal suit is AMAZING & my husband love the guys area upstairs. The Crosley offers the best of both worlds with a beautiful oceanfront view, an outdoor pavilion and a spacious area inside. This venue came to life while the sun set over the water. Gorgeous inside & out, not many decorations needed due to the beauty of the building itself. I would definitely recommend this venue for a wedding! The staff/manager over our event, Juan, was great! Very helpful & informative.

I booked the Powel Crosley for my May 2013 wedding and could not be happier. The staff was professional and responsive to all my questions and several requests to see the venue. The venue is not flexible with some rules such as alcohol, but that is only because it is owned by the county and they have no choice. Alcohol was served directly through the Powel and the service was great. Although i was surprised that my guests were able to view more of the up stairs rooms than I originally thought. My guests really liked looking around and seeing all the history the place has to offer. The place is beautiful and the staff was great.

The Powell Crosley Estate in Sarasota, Florida is an absolutely stunning venue! I researched several venues on the east and west coast of Florida and this was by far the most beautiful and reasonably priced venue I found (the history behind the mansion is pretty cool too)! It's perfectly secluded for a private event and located directly on the water with gorgeous views! You have the option to rent out the entire estate or just the grounds. We rented out the entire estate. We used some of the bedrooms and bathrooms to get ready in throughout the day. We had our ceremony out by the water, cocktail hour in the gazebo area, dinner inside the great room, and dancing out on the porch area. It's so versatile, you can do anything with it! The Crosley does have some rules that you need to be aware of, like most venues (all alcohol has to be purchased through them bc of the liquor license; no sparklers, no chinese lanterns, etc). The only real issue we had (the reason they didn't earn a perfect score) was bc the day of our wedding the a/c broke on one side of the estate. It was a May wedding in south Florida.... The a/c is kind of crucial! It was pretty warm outside and the inside wasnt much better so it was hard for guests to cool down... We ended up getting refunded some of our deposit for the inconvenience but it still didnt fix the problem at that very moment... Other than that I would definitely recommend this venue!

The Powel Crosley Estate was a dream location for our wedding. I love the vintage feel of the building yet the tropical location on the bay of Sarasota. We had the entire place to us and our guests which made the day feel special and intimate. It's definitely more affordable to get married there on a weekday which is what we did. We had 40 guests and the size of the estate was perfect. The courtyard is wonderful for the ceremony and dinner inside kept our guests cool and comfortable. We saved on money because we didn't need to add much decor or lighting. It was a perfect place for us! One note - they do have a select list of caterers you have to choose from and they provide the alcohol at a charge per head. We loved our caterers that we chose and had a dry wedding so we didn't mind the rules!

A great place to have a wedding and reception. The house is beautiful and gives you a lot of choices. The people were wonderful to work with. You have to purchase your alcohol through them, but it was quite reasonable and the bartenders all did a good job. We had our wedding outside and our reception under a tent, with cocktail hour inside. We loved being able to have our wedding at a venue on the water, without having it feel like a less-formal beach wedding.

I would recommend this venue to anyone. Everyone that attended our wedding raved how it was such a perfect location and was out of a fairy tail. It is such a beautiful place to have a wedding. I will say with the bar / bartenders and fee to rent the venue it does become quite pricey, but at the end of the day everything was perfect, and well worth the cost. I got so many compliments about the staff at this venue and how prompt and nice they were so it made our day for our family and friends even better. Thank You, especially to Sabel for all of her help along the way!

Truly a gorgeous venue for our wedding. In spite of being a little pricier than other venues and somewhat inflexible in the can and can'ts, the experience was still very much worth it. Notwithstanding, Mary Beth overcame these initial concerns by providing wonderful assistance with our event planning. She deserves many kudos for her help and we are very much appreciative.

This is a venue that really sells itself. It is absolutely beautiful, and many of our guests told us they had never seen such a beautiful wedding venue. If you would like a magical, "fairy-tale", partially outdoor, yet classy affair on the water, this is your place. Nothing like a banquet hall, it is a genuine house. We didn't really have much contact with the wedding coordinator, which was fine because our caterer (Simply Gourmet Caterers, check them out!) acted as one.

This is the best place to get married! It has such a beautiful look/feel to it and really does not need many decorations. The Crosley sets such a beautiful theme to the day. Guests love it and I would not change a thing about it. Maribeth is great to work with and really flexible. There are some rules to the place, but nothing major, but at the end of the day we didn't have to compromise anything- she is great to work with and a huge help. Thanks everyone!
