Our experience with Crooked Willow was so seamless and easy to navigate. Planning a wedding has so many details, logistics and ins and outs - but Jody and Derek were easy and quick to communicate with, helpful, full of advice, and always flexible and kind. I cannot thank them enough for the use of such a gorgeous space, the support along the way, and the attention to detail they provided from day one. Our guests were in awe of the property, and so were we! -

On our big day, both our wedding ceremony and reception took place at Crooked Willow. I will say for certain the venue was nothing short of perfect, Derek and Jody take pride in keeping this place looking good and this is easily evident. They were very responsive by email and phone when it came to planning, were very clear and accommodating to our requests, and treated us like one of their own. This is one of those venues that you can step on any inch of the property and a photo looks amazing. They left the work for us very minimal, so we could focus on spending time with the special people in our life. My bride and I are grateful for the experience at Crooked Willow and highly recommend it! -

We love Crooked Willow!
We couldn’t be more happy with our decision to have our wedding at Crooked Willow! They were very responsive and accommodating throughout the planning process and helped out onsite during the wedding. Jody and Derek were extremely easy to work with and happily answered all our questions. Not to mention, the venue is absolutely beautiful - both indoor and outdoor. We especially enjoyed the private bar area for the wedding party and the getting ready suites! Thank you for an amazing experience!

My husband and I just got married at Crooked Willow were so happy with our venue choice!! Derek and Jody were great with communication leading up to the ceremony, the property is beautiful and well kept, and our wedding was everything we hoped for! Our special day at Crooked Willow
Crooked Willow was our only venue we toured for our special day. We left our tour and immediately knew it was the one for us.
The venue offers so much from amazing views, great facilities and a home feeling. Derek and Jody answered all questions during the process. There is always someone onsite during your day as well. -

The ABSOLUTE best, most stunning place for a wedding! The owners are amazing to work with! With any questions we had, one or both of them would get back to us with in the day! They make a great team and know how bring any wedding dream to life! We can't thank them enough! We got lucky with the weather for our day, but I was not worried one bit if we had to do our ceremony inside. Every single inch of this venue is gorgeous! All of our guests still keep complimenting us on how beautiful our wedding was, and we truly could not have done it without the help from Crooked Willow! -

We got married at Crooked Willow in June of 2024. The staff worked tirelessly to prepare us prior to our big day to make sure when the day came, everything ran as smooth as possible. The property is absolutely stunning. We held out rehearsal dinner, the day of morning preparations, and reception at Crooked Willow. This allowed us to feel comfortable when we were there for our event, like it was home base for those two days. Derek, Jody, and the staff felt like friends by the end of our experience. We are forever thankful to have our once in a lifetime memories at Crooked Willow. -

Crooked Willow was an amazing place to have our wedding! Derek and Jody were amazing to work with, and answered our questions so quickly. They were able to move our ceremony indoors when the forecast was looking quite rainy and everything was still so so beautiful! We’ve had so many compliments on how pretty our venue was. We cannot recommend Crooked Willow enough! -

Gorgeous Venue
Derek and Jody were so wonderful to work with! They had constant communication to make sure everything went smooth along the way and made sure everything went smooth with the vendors as well. The venue was well kept and gorgeous! They even have recommendations of vendors to use on their website which is a plus because if you go with their recommendations those vendors know the property and know what to do so it helps that there are no questions with your vendor on what to do and where to set up. I highly recommend booking your wedding here you won’t regret it! -

Crooked Willow is the perfect place for a wedding! They have all the amenities you need! We had the most perfect wedding day and we couldn’t have imagined having it anywhere else. They keep the place looking beautiful. They help you with whatever you need to make your day go smoothly. There are many beautiful photo spots and so much character to all the buildings! Highly recommend for anyone wanting a beautiful outdoor (or indoor) wedding or event! -

Derek and Jody were great to work with at Crooked Willow! We toured July 2021, and booked for August 2022. We traveled from Moorhead MN. They are always available for any questions by text and email, and having not planned a wedding before, there were lots of questions! We had hoped for an outdoor ceremony, but they were very flexible when the weather did not cooperate, and were able to move everything inside. They have a list of caterers, and other vendor recommendations to choose from local to the Alexandria MN area. The venue space is simple, but beautiful, we did not have to do much as far as decorations. Another thing we appreciated was having the suites for both the bridal party and groomsmen to get ready in on site. These suites are spacious, and and very vendor friendly. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better day, everything went wonderful. We highly recommend holding your event here!! -

Beautiful Venue!
Our wedding at Crooked Willow went off without a hitch! Derek and Jody are fantastic to work with and the property is beautiful. Every venue set-up that I have seen has been stunning and unique. They have great communication on everything that needs to be set up prior to the event date, and were there to answer any questions every step of the way. When our ring bearer lost the sole of his shoe 10 minutes before our ceremony, Derek had the shoe fixed in no time! I recommend Crooked Willow for any event! The large venue made a perfect wedding venue, and the barn is perfect for smaller gatherings. There are also separate cabins for the couple's individual groups to get ready. We were able to use all areas for the day. -

Wonderful!
Crooked Willow is a beautiful place to have a wedding. The whole day ran seamlessly and was so perfect. From the bartenders, to Derek and Jody themselves, everyone was so easy to work with and were there to answer any questions we had. We traveled from Knoxville, TN and we had absolutely no issues planning our wedding with Crooked Willow from so far away. I would definitely recommend choosing Crooked Willow as your venue! -

Absolutely amazing!!
We couldn’t be happier with our choice to have our wedding at Crooked Willow! We toured the venue in June 2021 and got married in June 2022. Derek and Jody were great about answering all of our questions and communication from the time we toured this venue to our wedding day! The bridal suite and grooms den were so awesome for getting ready and to hang out with everyone in the wedding! We had our wedding ceremony outside and the reception in the shed and it couldn’t have been more perfect! We did very little decorations, because the venue itself is simply elegant and we received so many compliments on how beautiful it was.
It was a wonderful experience and we had our dream wedding!! -

Great venue!

Derek and Jody were great about answering all of our questions and communication from the time we toured this venue to our wedding day! Crooked Willow is absolutely amazing and the most breathtaking place to host a wedding. On top of the beautiful location and facilities on the property, the owners, Derek and Jody, are wonderful. Not only did they have great communication and always respond immediately, but they also ensured our day flowed smoothly and effortlessly. They were on hand the entire day. Jorg and I are so very happy with our choice to host our reception at Crooked Willow. The outside of the beautiful red barn is so picturesque, but it doesn’t compare to the exquisiteness of the inside of the barn. Our guests were so happy with the location and venue, too. Derek, Jody and all the staff at Crooked Willow are absolutely amazing! To say this venue is beautiful is an understatement. The entire property is gorgeous and provides everything you could need to spend the entire day on-site. The property offers every type of photography backdrop you could think and the buildings are so unique and have so much character. The planning process with Derek and Jody was seamless and was the smoothest process which made everything a lot less stressful! We are still getting compliments on how wonderful everything was. I would highly recommend choosing Crooked Willow for your special day! You won't regret it!! -

Picking Crooked Willow as our wedding venue was the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. The venue itself, from the buildings to the surrounding landscape, is absolutely beautiful. One thing my husband and I especially appreciated about Crooked Willow was that it allowed us to hold our entire day at one location. The bridal and grooms suites provide great spots onsite for the bridal party to get ready for the day and hang out. We also were able to have our ceremony in the barn. It was such a wonderful atmosphere! Plus, Derek and Jody were incredible to work with. They were very friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond to help make our wedding day an amazing experience. I strongly recommend Crooked Willow to anyone looking to get married in this area. -

We had our October wedding at Crooked Willow & could not have asked for a better venue to work with! So happy with our experience! Not only did we get tons of compliments on how gorgeous our venue was, but also the owners were incredible, & just made our whole day so smooth. We really loved that everyone was able to actually get ready at the venue as well, and just stay there all day, it was so convenient. Btw, their bridal & wedding suites to get ready in are amazing & so much fun, we had a blast! We truly made the absolute best memories at this venue on our big day with all of our favorite people. The Best Day Ever
Married 10.17.20 and in the midst of a pandemic, it was the absolute perfect day! We honestly didn’t even consider another venue ! Derek & Jody were so wonderful to work with and made the day so smooth for us. They have the best space for an all day event which made it so easy for us! And the event center is so beautiful alone, that we hardly spent any money on decor! Communication was great and they always responded to us within a timely manner! -

Whenever I emailed or called they answered and got back to me right away!!! The whole wedding day Derek was there helping with anything and everything!!! The venue was also STUNNING!!!! Perfect Day, Perfect Venue
I cannot say enough good things about Crooked Willow. Our day was absolutely perfect. Not only is the venue just absolutely stunning in and of its self, but Derek and Jody are also sooo easy to work with and helped ensure the day went off without a hitch. Derek and Jodi have created such a unique and beautiful venue. We had our wedding there in August and they were fantastic to work with! I had zero worries that day and any hiccup that came up, they were there to take care of. We had so many complements on the site and how perfect it was. Another plus was there were so many different buildings, including a grooms suite. Our favorite place was the hidden bar in the barn for the wedding party - it was great to have time with our crew while not having to travel away from the ceremony or reception. I 100% recommended this venue to anyone looking at celebrating their big day here! -

This place is beautiful. We had our groom's dinner in the barn the night before, and reception in the main building. We had 260 guests with plenty of room to spare without it looking empty. The inside of the reception building barely needs decorating with its rustic charm (money saver!) We were very happy with our venue choice! -

We cannot even begin to express how incredible our experience was with Crooked Willow. Crooked Willow was the first venue we looked at after we were engaged and we fell in love instantly. We knew this was the place we were getting married! Crooked Willow really is the most beautiful venue, from the bridal suites, gorgeous outdoor ceremony area, breathtaking event center, and spectacular honeymoon suite for convenient stay on site. Derek & Jody are amazing to work with. We had such an easy time planning because they were always so responsive and ready to help. Derek & Jody helped make our dreams come true. They really did go above and beyond to make sure we had the best day ever. Our guests raved about the venue with so many compliments and our vendors were so thrilled to be working with Crooked Willow. We would highly recommend celebrating any event at Crooked Willow. The best part about the grounds and building (other than being BEAUTIFUL) is that you never have to leave! You get your full time and moneys worth by getting all the amenities including a honeymoon suite right on site! -

Derek and Jody were amazing throughout our whole wedding process and wedding day! They really did go above and beyond everything we could have asked for. We had to cancel our previous wedding due to an emergent medical issue and our previous venue had no compassion so we looked for a different venue for planning our second wedding. I found Crooked Willow on Facebook and we decided right away to go tour there - We both fell in LOVE with the venue. They were super understanding of our situation and were able to help us figure out a game plan. Communication was amazing and they were always there to answer questions throughout the way. As the wedding day approached they were there to make sure things were running smoothly.
Our wedding day was nothing short of amazing. They were there to make sure all our questions were answered and were the best of help. The bridal suite and groom suite were amazing to get ready in and hangout before. There are plenty of beautiful photo opportunities here as well! We still have guests raving about how perfect the day was and how beautiful of a venue we picked! We would recommend Crooked Willow 1000000%! Thanks for helping create our perfect day! -

Derek and Jody were very accommodating in working with us to make our wedding day special. Our wedding took place in the winter, and Derek spent many hours moving snow and making sure things ran smoothly for our guests the day of the wedding. Prior to the wedding day, Derek and Jody made communication easy and answered any questions that we had throughout planning. Derek, Jody, and their family have created a venue that is beautiful, full of character, and it was the perfect place to host our guests to celebrate our marriage. I could tell from the first time I met Derek and Jody that they were passionate about their business and cared about helping us make our wedding day special. They truly care about others and went above and beyond for my husband and I while planning a day that we will never forget. I would highly recommend Crooked Willow for any event! -

Having access to the bridal suite, trappers lodge, and the barn gave us a space to be comfortable in before our ceremony and reception.. and not to mention how BEAUTIFUL the event center is!! Derek and Jody have put in a great amount of effort to make this wedding venue amazing. I highly recommend Crooked Willow to help make your wedding day extra special!

If you are debating about making Crooked Willow your venue for your wedding, do it! I had just gotten married here last weekend and it really was nothing short of amazing. Derek and Jody know exactly what they're doing and are so timely with their responses and questions. Everything was so put together and organized. We had our ceremony and reception in the same building and it still felt just as elegant and special. We are forever thankful for Derek and Jody for helping make our wedding day the best day of our lives! -
