My wedding dress was so perfect after Cristina altered it! She made it fit exactly how I wanted and brought my dream dress to reality! She is affordable, flexible, and kind. The bustle she did on my dress was so cool because it was one I had never seen before. I had only seen a bustle on the outside of a dress, but she made mine to be under the dress so you didn't even see all of the extra fabric! I think you should definitely hire her to alter your wedding dress!! -

I had an absolutely WONDERFUL experience with Cristina at CC Bridal Alterier. She was incredibly kind, talented, honest, and reasonably priced. After the first alterations were made, I was nervous that the arms were a bit too tight. I mentioned this to Cristina and she fit me in right away to help me feel more comfortable. I would absolutely recommend her for your bridal fitting needs. This was one of my best choices I made when wedding planning. Thank you, Cristina for all of your help, talent, and support! -

Beautiful Work!
Christina was amazing to work with. I purchased a dress off of Stillwhite that was 2 sizes larger than my size. Christina altered it to fit me like a glove, and she worked so quickly! She also hemmed my dress significantly, bustled it, and made me a cathedral length veil - all beautiful. Her work is flawless, and she is lovely, and highly professional. I would highly recommend her to any bride looking for a wonderful seamstress! -

Cristina is amazing
Cristina altered my wedding dress. Abs did a fantastic job, was polite, professional, and fast. When my dress didn’t fit 3 weeks before the wedding (wedding stress weight loss), she was able to squeeze me in and make last minute alterations. I would highly recommend using Cristina for your alteration needs. -

She made a dress that already fit me pretty well, fit me perfectly with small and intricate changes to the detail. Christina is incredibly talented, kind, and a joy to work with. She took my mom's 1980's wedding dress and gave it new life for my wedding this year. She immediately understood my vision for the dress- she not only made it a reality but she also provided some amazing suggestions I would not have thought of on my own. My dress turned out better than I ever could have imagined. She is easy to communicate with, she works fast, and she is very respectful. Perfect Dress Experience
Cristina is the best! She took my vision and made it perfect. She added bridal buttons, she made a belt, she made a beautiful veil, and she did the bustle exactly how I envisioned it. The train was long and heavy but she made the bustle absolutely stunning. My dress almost looked better bustled than it did down. :) -

Cristina's work is amazing! I purchased my wedding dress from a boutique in Downtown Raleigh. At the time of purchase it was about three -four sizes too big. The owner of Oak City bridal referred me to Cristina and it was super easy to get scheduled. During my initial visit, we discussed at a high level everything I wanted and Cristina was able to give me accurate pricing, no hidden fees. Her alteration work is phenomenal. By the time she was done with my dress, it fit me like a glove! She even took material from the design that I did not like out, made me a custom veil AND a custom mask made to match my dress exactly. Cristina is a GEM. I would highly recommend her for your dress alterations. Seriously, you do not find atelier's like her anymore. THANK YOU CRISTINA! -

Cristina is AMAZING. She was recommended to me by one of my best friends and she did not disappoint! Not only did Cristina work with my timeline (I unknowingly waited a bit too long to start the alteration process), she was extremely kind, fair with her prices, knowledgeable, and detail oriented. My dress fit SO well after my first fitting and was perfect after my second fitting. I think 4-5 girls from my friend group have all now gotten their dresses altered by Cristina! Highly recommend! -

The best experience! 10/10
Cristina was my absolute favorite person that I worked with throughout the wedding process. She transformed an average dress and made it my dream dress! Changing it up completely. She was absolute pleasure to work with from day one. My mom and I always looked forward to seeing her and seeing her transform my dress into perfection. She completely changed the sleeves, the back, the alterations, created a beautiful bustle, added sequins and beads AND created me a stunning custom floor length veil to change into for the reception after wearing a cathedral length train with a removable blusher she made. Wedding dresses can be very stressful to a bride but she put me at ease with impeccable talent, kindness and desire to turn a dress into my dream dress. I truly can’t say enough about Cristina and how much I appreciate her. Will always cherish my experience with her! -

Absolutely painless.
Cristina was so easy to work with. She has a great sense of style while also keeping in mind what was possible for my dress. I had a vision and she was able to make it come to life. I had her make a customized bolero and get my very oversized dress to the petite size I needed. I always felt I could tell her exactly how I felt to make my vision come to life. She also knew relatively where my budget was and was able to help me stay within means. She is sooo talented! -

Cristina is the best and I cannot say this enough! My dress needed only a few alterations, but the ones I did need were quite complicated. The part I was most nervous about was the hemming because of the intricate lace and the train, but Cristina was able to do EVERYTHING I needed, no problem. We only had to have one round of alterations and then the dress was perfect. She was also able to bustle the dress for me so I could break it down on the dance floor. Cristina also makes hand maid veils for much less expensive than any bridal shop out there! And she also told me that making veils is her favorite part. Please all brides go visit Cristina! -

Cristina literally saved my wedding dress! After getting it altered elsewhere it did NOT fit right and I had 2 weeks to get it fixed before my wedding. Cristina saved the day! Her work is perfection, she is flexible with turnaround time, and she charged half of what the other seamstress charged. I only wish I had found her first before I went to someone else! Cristina was hands down one of my favorite vendors! A friend of mine referred me to her after I was in a panic about finding someone to alter my dress. Cristina was quick to respond to my request about altering my dress and she was always mindful of my timelines for portraits and the wedding itself. Cristina was a magician when it came to making the changes I wanted for my dress and her turnaround time was phenomenal! I loved working with her so much that I got her to alter my rehearsal dinner dress and she did wedding alterations for my mom and sister as well. I was truly sad when I picked my dress up because it was the end of my visits with Cristina. She is the sweetest, most accommodating person I know! Please do yourself a favor and only use Cristina for alterations! -

I stumbled across Cristina while I was searching frantically for veils. I wanted beading and no lace. The beaded veils I saw at numerous bridal stores just wouldn’t do. I wanted something apparently stores just did not offer. And I needed it pretty quickly for bridal portraits.
I contacted Cristina and she was able to schedule an appointment with me within a few days. I brought in removable straps from my dress and a head full of ideas. She listened to my ideas for something simple, yet pretty... and not full of pearls. My dress was ivory so I was worried bear colors not being right.
She got to work right away and started texting pictures! She made a couple corrections per my request and wow. I couldn’t wait to see it!
I picked up my dress from another seamstress and was quite unhappy with the bustle. I wish I had found Cristina earlier! I contacted her and she was able to squeeze me in immediately to correct my bustle! The dress and custom veil turned out perfectly— and did not cost an insane amount of money! She truly enjoys what she does and is the most talented seamstress I’ve ever seen! -

Cristina provided a 5 star wedding dress alteration experience from start to finish. She is amazing at what she does. My dress had intricate beading/crystals which were not a problem at all for her. My mermaid dress fit beautifully. She changed the zipper to make it easier to get into, pulled in the top and put little indiscreet buttons for a bustle. Cristina is phenomenal!!! She is very easy going and you feel comfortable your dress is in good hands. Additionally, the value and pricing was much better than other vendors. Thank you Cristina for your exceptional work!! The dress was stunning! -

Personalized, excellent service
Cristina's work is wonderful and she was able to manipulate the lace and tulle of my dress so delicately. She adjusted the bodice size, added complimentary lace to the deep v-neck and created a 5-point bustle. Her home was very comfortable for each fitting. -

I was incredibly nervous to get my wedding dress altered since I was new to the area and didn't have anyone to go with me. Christina immediately put me at ease with how kind and genuinely excited she was to help make sure my dress fit perfectly! She is such a talented individual and made sure everything looked the way I wanted it to. My main concern with the dress was that I needed the shoulders/sleeves to fit well enough that the illusion fabric didn't bunch without restricting movement-as you can see she found the perfect balance! To top it off her prices were extremely reasonable and she had my dress done incredibly fast. -

A Dream To Work With
I knew my wedding dress would be in only 2 weeks before my wedding so I reached out to Cristina months in advance about alterations. When the time for my wedding was here, she remembered me and did stunning work on a form fitting dress- not to mention the train bustle was magical! All this in just 2 weeks! -

When I tried my dress on, I actually did the straps the wrong way. They were meant to be clasped in a racer back style near the nape of my neck, but I clamped them up so that they came straight down the sides of my back. I ended up liking my way better and Cristina was more than happy to accomodate. My dress fit my like a glove by the time she was done and it looked like it was made for me.
She did such a fantastic job that I hired her to alter my mother-in-law's wedding dress to wear to the rehearsal dinner. My mother-in-law is 6' tall, and I am only 5'4'', so it presented a challenge to make the dress my own. Cristina did an amazing job though, and I couldn't have been happier with the service. -

She was super responsive with questions about altering my dress, and once we met to discuss what I wanted changed (adding a 5-point bustle, shortening the length, and adjusting the cups), she worked super quickly and had my dress done even sooner than I needed it. She was able to work with lace that was very unforgiving with very little stretch and mold it to my arms so that it looked seamless with the bodice of my gown! She is knowledgeable, professional and goes above and beyond to work with you on your vision. I was so impressed with Cristina’s work and I recommend her wholeheartedly!

Carolyn Sent on 01/18/2018Cristina is a miracle worker! My dress was three sizes too big and the first tailor I used told me multiple things could not be tailored to fit me better. They did some work on the dress, but it did not fit me nearly how it was meant to. I am so grateful my photographer recommended Cristina! She was able to do everything the other tailor was not able to do, and even fixed what she had done. It fit me like a glove! I could not believe how talented she is! she was able to take the scalloped lacing off the bottom of the dress to shorten it and then sew the scalloped lace back on. When taking the dress in on the sides, she was able to take the embroidery off the lace and then sew it back on after making the adjustments. She was also able to cut the embroidered lace straps off and move them to a more comfortable spot. Finally, she did a great job of bustling the dress. She paid such attention to detail that you could not tell the dress had been altered, despite all of the lace and embroidery she had to work around. I was on cloud nine walking down the aisle in my gorgeous form fitting dress! She also did not charge an outrageous amount! Her prices were comparable to other tailors, but her work was much more impressive. She was also very flexible with meeting around my schedule. My bridesmaids loved her work just as much as me, so three of them ended up using her as well for their bridesmaid dresses, which included embroidery and beading.
I would recommend every bride use Cristina as their wedding dress tailor. She is very impressive and you won't be disappointed! Save yourself time and energy searching, and go ahead and contact Cristina! I couldn't have been happier with how my dress turned out! -

Cristina was so friendly and sweet from the very beginning, and after my first appointment I knew without a doubt that I could trust her 100%. She took an already beautiful gown and made it STUNNING. And with only one fitting, she absolutely nailed my vision! I had to get it taken in on the waist, chest area and length, and I was so afraid that any stitch was going to ruin the gown. But Cristina did such an amazing job altering the dress that it truly looked like it was custom-made to fit me perfectly, without a single stitch showing like it was brand new off the rack. She was remarkable! During my fittings, she made suggestions that I had never thought of - like adding custom straps and fabric buttons- and I am so glad I listened to her and let her guide me in that direction! The final product was better than I could have ever envisioned. And the best part of the experience was how quick, easy, worry-free, and fast it was for an incredible value. Even when I accidentally snagged the material and ripped the custom veil she made for me, so was SO extremely polite and accommodating that she volunteered to make me a brand new one at no cost. That's remarkable customer service that you would never find in a typical bridal shop! She made my dream wedding dress come to life on a budget and I am so thankful I worked with her.

Throughout the alterations process, Cristina was very flexible and generous. She held my dress for 6 months because I had a busy work schedule that caused me to space out my appointments, and she steamed my dress for free. She charges up front based on your expected tailoring needs, but will continue to alter your dress over a period of 2+ appointments if you’re not happy with the fit. I am a petite woman (5’1”) and I needed the hem on my A-line gown to be significantly shortened, the waist to be taken in, and a bustle to be added. We ended up needing 3+ fittings to get the hem right. In the end, the fit looked great in the mirror; the waist was taken in perfectly and the bustle was very pretty.
At my last appointment, however, I was still tripping on the dress. Cristina tightened the bow in the back to bring the dress up higher (the dress was a halter), which elevated the hem, and she said that this would take care of the problem. I should have realized then that this was not sufficient—a tulle bow, no matter how tightly tied, was going to loosen throughout the night, especially if it was responsible for holding up an entire wedding gown. There were fabric straps with a clasp in the back that were meant to hold up the neck. Cristina did not feel comfortable hemming more for fear that the dress would be too short, but I wondered if the fabric straps should have been taken in to bring the whole dress up, rather than relying so much on the bow.
This brings me to the nightmare that I experienced at my wedding: Not more than an hour after bustling my dress, one of the bustle’s hooks ripped off, leaving a long strand of dress dragging on the floor. I assume that this was because I had stepped on it. For my cake cutting and first dances, I had a long strand of train hanging awkwardly from the back of the dress. My husband and I worked hard for two months to choreograph our first dance, and it was ruined by us slipping on the fabric. A second hook ripped off later in the night, leaving another tear in my dress and another loose strand of train. As my maid of honor hurried to put in safety pins, I felt so sad and disappointed.
I wish that Cristina had at least given me some advice on walking around with the bustled dress…it was hard for me to appreciate how delicate the bustle was because I could not see it. I also wish that I had been given the option to have a bustle that was more reinforced. All in all, I can’t look at my wedding dress anymore without feeling sad. She reached out to me and promised that she will be more deliberate about educating brides in the future, which I really appreciate.
