My husband and I worked with We The Blackwells for our engagement photoshoot and the wedding. Crist understood exactly what our vision was and captured moments the family cherishes. Not only were the pictures beautiful and amazing, but Crist felt like another friend attending the wedding, instead of a photographer. He made everyone feel comfortable and even made a few people laugh hysterically. We got our previews back within three days, and I couldn't stop gushing about how beautiful and funny they were. I highly recommend employing them! We The Blackwells, are respectful, witty, talented, kind, professional, and the best wedding/engagement photographers. -

Crist is the best of the best. Our first experience with him was for our engagement photos. The photos were outside & the day of - it started pouring. Crist was all smiles, energy & positivity, he made the best of the situation & created the most beautiful, romantic, moody engagement photos in the rain. He of course gave us the option to reschedule if we didn’t want the photos taken in the rain - but his optimism was infectious & we trusted his vision. We knew then that he was perfect to capture our wedding. For the wedding he was just as positive & energetic, he made us feel so comfortable & confident. From the beginning he has been so responsive & helpful through all of our questions & communication. We couldn’t have asked for a more efficient, talented, kind, fun photographer. Crist reached out to me personally after inquiring about photography for a courthouse wedding. He was very knowledgeable about the locations I wanted to use and made my wedding day that much easier. On the day of, he made me feel so comfortable, we were instant besties! We had so much fun and the photos came out absolutely gorgeous! He made our courthouse wedding day look elegant! My 2023 wedding almost didn’t happen because California experienced the “storm of the century,” which closed down highways and caused major flooding and mudslides throughout the state. Despite being caught in the storm and stuck on the 5 Freeway for hours, Crist and his assistant made it to the venue on time and ready to roll.
Crist ensured that everyone was in good spirits and made the most of the day. He was like a personal hype man! We loved his positivity and professionalism.
We absolutely love our wedding photos and look back on our day with fond memories! -

Amazing photographers!
We couldn't be more thrilled with our wedding photographer We the Blackwell’s ! They went above and beyond in every way. Not only were the photos absolutely stunning—capturing both artistic shots and beautiful family moments—but we also received them in record time, faster than I’ve ever heard of. His communication was top-notch throughout the entire process, helping us stay organized, even with our somewhat chaotic wedding that had no planner or coordinator. His professionalism, artistic eye, and ability to make the day run smoothly were incredible. We feel so lucky to have had them to capture our special day! -

Photos you can feel the love off of
A big piece of advice that we got while planning our wedding was to not skimp out on our photographer. Boy, was everybody right. It's been three months since our wedding, but these photos take us right back to the moment. I can literally feel the emotions jumping out of the photos. We are SO glad we invested in them!
We actually met Crist & Hans during my sister's wedding as her photographers. We just loved their vibe and how comfortable they made us feel. From that day, we knew that we wanted them for our own wedding photographers. As soon as we set the date, we hit them up and booked them! We booked them 9 months before our wedding, and for all 9 months, we were sending them inspiration photos & questions, and they were super quick to respond. If you are the type to worry about if you're being annoying with all your questions, don't be! 😅 I probably messaged Crist a million questions, even more so after we received our album. He never made me feel like a bother, which is a big deal because I've literally still been bugging him to this day 🤣
We were a little bummed that Hans wasn't able to be our photographer, due to their baby, but Malia (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was so great! We loved her energy. She had great ideas that turned out beautiful in photos 😍
Our preview album, which I figured would be about 10 photos, ended up being 70 😲 And then our video call going through the entire album together - it was such a fun call! And then the patience to find specific photos I was requesting - priceless.
I can go on and on and it wouldn't be enough. Honestly, my one regret is not investing in extra hours with them!! Love yall! -

We love WetheBlackwells!
My husband and I were so lucky Hannah reached out via Instagram the week we got engaged. She congratulated us and made us feel like a friend that was invested in our wedding - before we had ever even spoken over the phone!
We definitely found comfort with this team and it was an easy choice once we settled on a location. Having vendors familiar with Santa Barbara was big for us, and it made us relax knowing a huge part of our day would be in very capable hands.
We really love how our photos turned out, and can’t wait to get our hands on our album. It’s so hard to choose from all of the amazing shots we got! Thank you so much for everything, and making sure every shot was captured and no details were missed. -

High quality services
I found the photographer when I traveled to Florida. I love his styles, so I contacted him. He was so nice to willing to work with me for my wedding in Oregon. He is responsive and flexible. Since ours is a Hispanic wedding, he collaborated with a photographer that has more experience with Hispanic wedding to take out photos. All the photos turned out perfect! Love all the work. I would love to work with him again. -

I never thought I’d say that I became life long friends with my photographer. Crist and Hannah are more than just photographers and on our special day, went above and beyond to make sure our memories are captured forever in the most unique and special way. This might sound cliche but with all the wedding stress going on the LAST THING you want to worry about it your photos and capturing the moments that you’ll cherish forever. From my first phone call with Crist, I can’t explain how or why, but I KNEW and felt that he knew what we wanted and how to make that happen. He was flexible and understanding. He’s kind and professional. Rolling with the punches and taking things as they come on such a stressful day I truly don’t know if I would have made it on my wedding day without his support and presence. Blessed and grateful are two words that come to mind when I think about my experience with the Blackwell’s. We love our photos and feel so lucky to have found these two artistic gems. -

We had the BEST wedding pictures because of these two! Crist and Hannah celebrated us, caught every single detail to we could just enjoy, AND had contagious joy that really made it even more special for us! Crist made my husband and I feel so comfortable and confident while taking photos. He went out of his way to make our engagement and wedding day shoots fun. Crist responded to every message I sent within a couple hours and captured every important moment on our big day. He was a fantastic communicator with all of our other vendors which helped our evening flow smoothly. Crist was so kind, personable, and approachable on our wedding day that my family still talks about how much they loved him. The best photographers we’ve ever experienced!
Crist and Hannah were absolutely perfect for our wedding! Seriously, if you’re reading this and you’re still on the fence - do it!
I was quite nervous as neither my husband or I are comfortable with photos, but Crist and Han were wonderful at making us relax, laugh, and have fun. They are very skilled and invested in making your photos exactly what you’ve dreamed of, and they know how to direct you (and encourage some silliness) to capture really emotive moments. They did our wedding and engagement photos, and managed to include everything I wanted in both shoots! They even hiked up a hill and got our dog involved in our engagement shoot to make sure we had the perfect photos. My wedding photos capture not just who, what, and when, but how we actually felt on that day. They made sure we captured everything; from getting ready through the first look and ceremony; detail shots with our handfasting cords, rings, and shoes; and great shots of everyone celebrating at the reception. I was shocked by how many photos they got, and how many I liked myself in (that never happens for me)! They also sent us our photos way ahead of schedule - we had our wedding photos only a couple days after the wedding! Photos are so easy to download, order, and share, that even our grandparents are able to get and print their favorites without assistance.
Beyond their professional skills, Crist and Han are just fun to be around. We both loved hanging out, and would love to do so again if they ever find themselves in our corner of California. -

Amazing!
We the Blackwells were amazing from the start! The second we hired them we had our engagement shoot, which happened to be on the HOTTEST day of the summer! But they made it work and Crist and Han made us so comfortable it’s like we knew them for years! We got our previews pretty much days later and then our whole album came within a month. Fast forward to the big wedding day. Crist and Han were so enjoyable to have there, I was sad when they left! They made the best of every situation and they helped out in so many ways (for example, Han bustling my dress)! We got our previews the Monday after our event and THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The magic these two have with a camera is spectacular! They will be my go to photographers for any event or milestone I have!! -

Choosing Crist and Hannah as our engagement/wedding photographers was one of the best decisions my wife and I ever made throughout our planning process, and it’s one we would repeat again and again. From the start of our relationship with them, they made everything so easy and fun. Deciding on a shooting location for our engagement shoot was fun, and we had a blast meeting them for that. They are so incredibly flexible and accommodating, they really live to make dreams come true. And for a lot of people, that’s so important throughout an event as significant as a wedding. Due to COVID, we did end up experiencing a few postponements of our actual wedding date, and they were so accommodating of that situation as well. When our wedding day did finally arrive, they couldn’t have been a more perfect duo to just blend in and make the experience as fun and memorable as possible. And received all our photos a couple weeks and we can’t get over how incredible they are. Talking about exceeding expectations! We love our photos, we love Crist and Hannah, and we would do the exact same thing if we had it to do over again. Thanks guys! -

Crist and Hannah are a power duo that exceeded all our expectations! They're so enthusiastic, creative, and open to all your photo op ideas. Even members of my family and wedding party kept complimenting how cool they both were and how well they worked together!!
There was so much emotion captured in their photos--we could literally feel the happiness coming out of the photos or relive the struggle not to cry. It's also so valuable to have a photographer who makes you both feel comfortable being in LOVE in front of them. During the photoshoot of just my husband and me, Crist and Hannah made us feel like it was just the two of us, completely in the moment, while at the same time hyping up all of the amazing shots they were getting and making us feel like we were the best couple they've ever worked with.
They added so much to our wedding team. We can't thank them enough for being so flexible and for sticking with us through the craziness of Covid-wedding planning. -

Crist was so helpful and patient with us, as we had never hired a photographer before. We met him for our engagement shoot, and once we saw the photos we HAD to book him for our wedding.
He helped us with a payment plan that worked for us and even sent us a shot list to help us figure out what photos were a must. That was super helpful, because we had no clue what we wanted. He was very kind and felt like part of the family, everyone just loved him. We wouldn't have chosen anyone else to capture our special day. Better than I could have hoped
Crist and Hannah photographed our wedding and did an amazing job. I knew they were prepared to photograph our wedding because they made sure that they knew all of the details of what we wanted long before the wedding day. They are incredibly easy to work with and were right there for all the moments that we wanted to capture. Sometimes it can feel awkward to do shoots with photographers, but they made us feel very comfortable. They managed the chaos of the family pictures masterfully, which made me a lot less stressed. What I appreciated most was that they made time for us to have moments alone and shooed guests away when we were doing our bride and groom shoot. They are amazing. If you need any pictures for anything, book them right now. They traveled to Wyoming for us and gave us memories that we will treasure forever. -

Han and Crist are such a fun duo! My husband and I had a crazy plan to have an elopement in Yosemite at dawn and then the next day to have a family/friend ceremony 5hrs away. They totally made it possible and were so flexible! Traveling all over to be where we needed them to be. It was so fantastic! They did what many other photographers would not and bought into our vision and captured it beautifully! We are so happy with the finished products. They gave us plenty of shots and even let us contact them if we had a moment in mind that didn’t make the final cut so that they could see if they could find one to send to us. So unique and special!
