10/10 Experience!
We had the best experience with Jay as our DJ! He was super professional, quick to respond to our questions, and took the time to see our venue to get a better idea of the set up and speakers we would need. Jay called us the week before the wedding to finalize details and make sure everything was ready to go. Everything on the day of went so smoothly and he did a great job of reading the room. We got so many compliments on the music and nobody wanted to leave the dance floor! -

Perfect DJ for our wedding!
Jay was the best DJ we could have had for our wedding! He was extremely professional, was flexible when we asked to make certain changes just a couple days before our wedding, and he is an expert at reading the room. The music he played was all phenomenal and perfectly timed. He was easily available via call or text and took any stress off our mind. I strongly recommend Jay to anyone considering a DJ! -

Amazing! Jay is wonderful!
I hired Jay because he did my sister's wedding about 9 years before mine. He is extremely professional and very helpful in explaining pricing as well as explaining the process of choosing music for your big day. Can't recommend him enough! -

Super flexible
Jay was great! We had a couple of last minute changes and bumps in the road that Jay was completely easy going about! He helped things run smoothly and always communicating with us! We really appreciate the amazing night of incredible music he gave us! -

Wonderful / Easy to work with - Wedding Reception
Jay was wonderful! Easy to work with and stuck with me even with three wedding date changes due to covid. Great mix of music from all different genres. He wasn't shy about getting out on the dance floor himself. What a great night! Thanks for making it special, Jay. -

Great DJ who makes sure your day will be special!!
Jay was awesome, he was very accommodating during these Covid times which I greatly appreciated. He knew how to read a crowd and kept the dancefloor full. Every guest I talked to had a great time. If I ever need a DJ again for any other event, besides this wedding, I would contact him again. :) -

Went above and beyond!
We cannot begin to even thank Jay for making our big day absolutely magical. He began his day with us doing our ceremony music, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. So many of our guests commented on his ability to read the crowd and truly make the night fun and amazing! We did not have a wedding day planner either and because of Jay, he kept everything on time and made everything flow so smoothly. Having a Chicago wedding while planning it many states away, I knew we made the right choice when we he reached our multiple times to make sure everything was on track and if there was anything he could help with. I am recommending him to all of our friends and family and so wish we could relive the night! THANK YOU JAY! -

Wonderful experience!
I am beyond pleased with my decision to use Crestline for my July 2021 25th Anniversary Event! The event was a complete success and I owe it to Jay and his amazing talent to keep the crowd engaged and the party pumping! The music was great he was so accommodating and professional and took all the stress out of making sure that people had a good time. It was perfection! -

Above and Beyond!
Jay worked with us for two years both before and during the pandemic, and we could not have pulled this off without him. From our first email to the last song of the night he consistently went the extra mile to make sure everybody had an awesome time!
We also recommend both the photo booth and uplighting! They were well worth it! -

Amazing DJ!!!
I will say this in as little words as I can: DJ Jay at Crestline was the absolute BEST DJ my wife and I could have ever asked for! From the very beginning, Jay was the most inclusive, understanding person to work with. He made the entire process extremely easy for us, and worked with us in collaboration the entire way to design the wedding and reception music of our dreams. The best part? Jay was not restrictive AT ALL on what music we could or couldn’t play, and let us design the music playlist ourselves on Crestline’s personalized online portal, giving us the reception music we always hoped for. Every guest I spoke to that night commented on how professional and fun our DJ was. If you’re planning your wedding and want a perfect, easy music experience, please do yourself a favor and go to Crestline and ask for Jay! -

DJ Jay did a great job
Jay was awesome . He kept the night running smooth. The up lighting he provided was perfect and looked exactly how we wanted it . He was very kind to all our guest and did a good job working in their request. He did a great job leading the line dances. He was very patient and professional throughout the whole process.

Such an amazing DJ!
We had Jay and were blown away! He did both our ceremony and reception and didn’t skip a beat. He was extremely organized and got our guests dancing all night! He was great at helping us stick to the schedule - which you really need a dj who can do this since you’re pulled in all directions by guests! Crestline and DJ Jay is who you want to go with
DJ Jay was as thorough and veteran as they come. His pre-planning and proactive communication with all moving parts of our wedding was amazing. He, behind the scenes saved us many headaches and we had that much more respect for him after a medical issue occurred with one of our guest and he was calm and relayed great advice for what to do in that situation. If you're looking for a great DJ who knows how to keep the dance floor going and can read the room with the best of them then DJ Jay is your guy. Professional, prepared, friendly, flexible
We couldn't have been happier with DJ Jay/Crestline. We went with him because he would let us choose as much or little of the music as we wanted, he was price competitive, and he had experience at our venue. Jay has a comprehensive planning form and he calls the week of to ensure he is 100% prepared to pronounce names correctly, etc. On our day, he showed up well in advance for setup, and he did a great job reading the room all night, communicating with us, and keeping the dance floor full. Jay is also just kind, a pleasure to deal with, and genuinely excited about making your day fun. Also, the photobooth was as expected, and we are happy with the book we received. Jay at Crestline did an absolutly fantastic job at our wedding. When we first met with Jay he promised to have everyone dancing the entire night, he stayed true to that promise. DJ (Party Rocking) Jay!
DJ Jay did it again! He has been our families Go-To-DJ for years, as always goes above and beyond while keeping the dance floor moving all night. Many thanks for Jay for customizing our playlist and working with the crowd to gauge what song type to play next. Our ceremony was on site, so Jay came early for reception setup to be sure to be out of the way, and had guests of all ages enjoying his song selection. As soon as my now husband and I got engaged, it was wonderful to check off ‘DJ’ as the first vendor off our list, as it was a no-brainer to bring him back after he did such an excellent job at both my sisters weddings in the past. We also got a wonderful surprise email with a link to our wedding playlist a month after our big day. We look forward to listening to our night on repeat for the years to come. Thank you! 110% recommend! -

Jay and Mark did a phenomenal job for my daughter's wedding. He was responsive, double checked the playlist with the bride and groom, had great dinner music and a great flow to all of the music for the evening for dancing. He kept us on track and was wonderful to work with! I highly recommend Jay!

I can't think of enough positive things to say about my experience with Jay from Crestline. My good friend referred us to him after he performed at both her and her older sister's wedding, and he did not disappoint. I would have to say that my favorite part about working with him throughout the planning process was how friendly he was and easy to speak to. I never felt awkward or obligated to go along with an idea that he had- we were always able to throw out new ideas without pressure. The conversations were always very honest and he was always a great listener. He was VERY well organized and had a great memory. Everything went exactly how I had asked, so I could not expect more. He also was funny and very interactive with the crowd, evening joining us in the cha cha slide. He was able to accommodate the different tastes of our families, who are from very different backgrounds. I truly was nervous about how that would play out, but it worked out very well. My parents had a lot of their favorite songs played, which I really appreciated. I needed a DJ with experience and the ability to accommodate a diverse crowd, and Jay did not disappoint. He went above and beyond to make our day special and fun :) thanks again! -

We hired Jay for our wedding's music and lighting decor, and could not be happier. He was professional, timely, and really understood us as a couple. He provided the music and microphones for our outdoor ceremony, and everything went off without a hitch. All of our guests could hear us and our officiant speak! He has a great website that keeps everything organized, and recommends new and fun ideas. His demeanor and cadence is so fun and friendly, and he really got people excited to dance. We had a full dance floor all night long, and he had the right balance of songs to please all generations. The uplighting he provided truly illuminated and enhanced our reception hall, and he even had some awesome dance lighting that changed colors. We received so many compliments from our guests. I really appreciate the time he took to make our night special - and I know you will appreciate his work too! -

Jay had our wedding running like a well oiled machine. He was on point with the music and the other situations that required his presence (speeches, first dance, ect...) He was very interactive with crowd and had the wedding rolling into the night. Very smooth transitions form the ceremony to the recital. Working with Jay, Jared, and all of Crestline was a great experience. From the initial meeting to the day of the wedding, Jay was very attentive and his main concern was making sure it would be the best night possible. Jay was very organized and his website made it very easy to decide what music to play at each part of the event. If you want a DJ that knows how to read a crowd and get people dancing, I highly recommend Crestline. I also recommend the uplights, as they made for a very cool experience during the reception. -

We have used Crestline for many many family parties including my wedding this past Saturday. Jay does an AMAZING job! The online portal to prepare for your event is awesome. Jay even called a couple of days before our wedding to go over the details. We must have talked for at least an hour. Our wedding was absolutely PERFECT! Jay from Crestline was awesome! Talk about meeting a DJ that was truly in it for us- meeting Jay was great, he is very genuine and that makes it very easy to talk with him. He did a great job of walking us through all the options available and how he could tailor to our needs and not his (like many other DJ's try to do). Jay was very flexible on what we wanted as a playlist and worked with on sprucing up the room with some additional up-lighting that added warmth and color. Jay also had a knack for the latin music that was 'in' as I needed that for my side of the family. I really appreciated how he allows the couple to truly decide the involvement you want from your DJ so that there are no awkward surprises- you get to know everything upfront. If you are looking for a genuine DJ and I am talking about someone you can truly talk to and also get a professional and fun experience, then I highly recommend Jay at Crestline. We received many compliments on the variety of music and the ambience that Jay provided. Great work and again, highly recommend him and his team. -

Jay and Crestline Entertainment were AMAZING!! Jay was our DJ and he also did the up-lighting for our event- and the room looked spectacular. Jay was responsive and so easy to work with during the entire planning process. Of all of our vendors, he was our favorite. Our dance floor was packed the entire night, and Jay worked from our general playlist to keep everyone entertained. All of our guests RAVED about the up-lighting, and the music. The club-like lighting that they include also made the dancefloor feel like a club- and all of our guests LOVED it. If you can, request to have Jay DJ your event- you wont regret it! Crestline Entertainment and DJ Jay were contracted for our wedding August 20th at the Hotel Baker and can tell you it was one of the best decision we made that made this day the best day of our lives.
For me hiring the right DJ for this important life event was critical to the overall flow of the evening. Over the past several years we have been to countless other weddings where the DJs were average to subpar which impacted traffic on the dance floor and the flow of the evening so I was skeptical of hiring/finding the right person for this event.
Enter Crestline…….Crestline is a preferred vendor for the Hotel Baker so he had the experience of playing the venue which was a great first step. After initially meeting DJ Jay at a Vendor meeting we scheduled time with him a few weeks later. We met with Jay and he spent more that three hours answering all of my questions, alleviating any concerns, and showing true professionalism. He walked us through his DJing approach and had numerous video footage examples to show us. We contracted him that day. I was cautiously optimist. Being able to promise something and deliver are two different things.
Over the next few months Crestline’s music tool is great to help plan out the flow of your wedding and sound tracking that special day.
The day of couldn’t of gone more perfectly. From the introduction’s of our Bridal to us DJ Jay started off and I was immediately impressed. He made sure that we stayed on task to meet all of our time tables so we could get people dancing as fast as possible. After our first dance the dance floor opened up at 9:00p.m. and didn’t stop for the rest of the night. Jay did a perfect job mixing up old and new songs, fast and slow. We had people dancing all night from all difference age groups. Jay did a great job balancing songs from our play list and requests from guests in attendance. This DJ company was excellent! Everyone had a great time at our wedding, we received so many compliments on our DJ Jeff. He made our wedding flow perfectly. From the music they played before the ceremony started, to the ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception, it was perfect transitions. I did not have to worry about anything on our wedding day, they were prepared and took charge and did everything the way we wanted. They accommodated our every song request. Jeff also did a great job in engaging our guests. Everyone was on the dance floor! They even sent us a playlist of our wedding shortly after. I cannot say enough great things about the, would recommend to everyone! -

My fiance and I met with Jay and were immediately sold! He explained all that his company and his different DJs had to offer. We have far more older guest attending our wedding than younger ones; so it's really important that our wedding doesn't turn into a nightclub with a loud, in your face DJ. , Jay explained that his company works to makes sure that he is only as involved as the bride and groom want him to be. What a relief! The online page that Jay has set up is super helpful too! Everything is laid out so we don't have to worry about missing anything. -

Jay was the best! Music was the focal point to our wedding. It was a Peruvian and American wedding with some uncommon Peruvian traditions. We walked though everything we wanted in detail with Jay. He took it all in and gave us exactly what we wanted! Our wedding was two weeks ago and we are still hearing from friends how great the music and dj was. We want to thank Jeff for his great efforts to make our wedding a success and left a lot of great memories! We hired Jeff as our DJ about one week before our wedding. The communication with Jeff was very effective. In the last week, he helped us a lot about our wedding music and smoothed our wedding procedures, designed interactive dances and games for us, which relieved a lot of pressure from us. Jeff is very professional and enthusiasm in DJ. Before the wedding, he arrived very early to set up instruments and made sure everything works fine. We were moved by his caring of clients. During the wedding, all the music we selected were played precisely as required. The music Jeff selected matches with our tasted very well! Everyone was very happy and moved by those beautiful music. During the whole wedding, Jeff kept very good communication with us and help to make a few adjustment to make the whole wedding goes smoothly.
The best part came after the reception entree. Jeff carefully selected dance music to build up the atmosphere, which bring more and more guest to join the dance, until the whole dance floor was full. Jeff also led us to dance interactively, which was awesome! Although none of the guests was familiar with dance, with Jeff's help and lead, everyone started to dance and really enjoyed. The party lasted high until late night, and no guest want to leave.
Jeff is a easygoing, very talented, precise, client oriented and professional DJ. Hiring Jeff was our best decision for our wedding. I will definitely recommend Jeff to my friends for their weddings! -

Jay is such a nice guy, and very experienced! He made sure the night went smoothly and took a lot of stress off of me, he even helped me create my photo slideshow to music the night before the wedding when I thought I was smart enough to figure it out and wasn't! I owe him big time for that! The music was great and he kept my guests dancing! He's very flexible on what style you are looking for and offers a lot of other options aside from music. Crestline, specifically Jay, has provided DJing service for my sister, a family friend, and now me and hasn't let us down yet. The dance floor for my 8/1/14 wedding was filled all night. Jay had just the right involvement during the reception, kept things moving, followed through with everything we asked, and could not have had better communication with us throughout the whole process. He showed flexibility with a last minute change and showed that he was a true professional who has definitely done this before. DJ Jay was perfect for our wedding. He gives you complete freedom over the music you want to hear for your special day and even lets you decide how much mc-ing you would like him to do. SImply put, Jay is awesome.
We started wedding planning far before our date. We contacted Jay about DJ services after meeting him at our venue's open house. He offered to meet us at a coffee shop near our apartment in the city to talk about Crestline's services. His presentation impressed us: He showed videos of how he and his other DJs handle a reception, he showed us how he DJs receptions based on how much DJ involvement is necessary to get the party going, he walked us through the song request system, and he discussed how the flow of the day would go based on the venue (with which he was familiar) and our needs for the night.
His contact throughout the process was always prompt, cordial, and helpful, leading right up to the day before the wedding.
The day of the wedding, he was set up even before the wedding party arrived at the venue, and the sound equipment was dead on for the trio we had playing during the ceremony. During the cocktail hour he was able to transfer his setup to the reception area on time and without intrusion, but was always nonetheless available if we had a question the night of.
The thing that impressed us the most was how he made the reception personalized as he went. Our wedding guests came from the South, the Northeast, and Chicago, a fact that Jay wouldn't have known until the groom's godfather's speech at the end of the cocktail hour. Despite being busy in finishing his setup, Jay was attentive enough to hear this and later in the night addressed everyone's home with different songs for them. This was a little touch that the guests loved and really, really, impressed us as clients.
In short, Jay is the consummate professional, and Crestline is the first thing we will recommend whenever friends say they are getting married. -

I am very happy with Jay and his performance. I had a short reception as it was Sunday night but my party turned out pretty good, the morning after I got compliments from friends and family that I did a good job on picking out the DJ for my wedding. We met with a few other DJs before we chose Jay to DJ our wedding. During our first meeting he awed us with his portfolio because it showed us that he cares about his customers. He is very open and versatile to his customer's requests. He also has state of the art audio and lighting equipment. Jay has a vast selection of songs, and we were able to choose the ones we liked the most for our wedding.
The most memorable thing Jay did was for my husband. My husband chose a song to dedicate to me after our first dance. The two met and worked in secrecy and surprised me during our reception.
I remember it vividly to this day.
Jay did a great job MC'ing too. Jay introduced our parents, wedding party, bouquet and garter tosses, and all the dances we selected. We received a lot of positive compliments from our guests about Jay's etiquette and style. We recommend Jay of Crestline Entertainment to anyone wishing to have a memorable wedding reception. -

My fiancé and I chose Crestline Entertainment after Jay performed at my sister's wedding last October. We chose Jay because he was a fantastic DJ. He really loves music and knows how to play songs that keep guests entertained and on their feet. Jay provided the music for our ceremony and reception. Every song flowed seamlessly. Jay was extremely flexible and accommodating in our planning process. During the wedding he kept everyone engaged and the dance floor was never empty. Even the older guests were dancing and enjoying themselves till the very end of the night. I just cannot say enough good things about Jay and Crestline Entertainment. When I was initially searching for DJs for our wedding, I found Crestline from the vendor tool. I called and talked to Jay, the owner, who answered any question I could think of, plus some, without trying to oversell me. A few days later, I received information about the company I requested in the mail along with a short hand-written post-it that basically said, "thanks for calling". It wasn't a huge deal, but those little personal details really speak to me and I made a decision then to hire them on the spot.
Shortly after, we had our meeting with Jay where we discussed our vision for the wedding and talked about what Crestline did as a wedding DJ more in depth. The meeting was extremely helpful, and Jay comes with plenty of good references.
Jay had everyone dancing all night at the wedding and he kept things running smoothly. I think my best choice as far as vendors went was Jay from Crestline and I would absolutely hire him again and recommend him and Crestline to anyone I know. -

Our first contact was with Jay and he was great! He was very quick to respond to any questions and was flexible in working with us. Dan was our DJ for the wedding. Everyone said he did a great job. I, the bride, thought things were a little rushed. But, my husband thought it was just to stay on track and schedule. We highly recommend Crestline!

This is a company that knows what they're doing. I was skeptical about DJs... They are all really expensive and what's the real difference anyways? I am so glad we decided to go with Crestline. We consulted with Jay but decided to hire Dan (The cost difference was the determining factor - Jay was more expensive). I don't regret that decision at all. Dan was extremely professional and friendly. He understood our requests perfectly (I hate rap/techno music and love oldies). We also knew that by the end of the night our guests would want more dance music so Dan changed it up. He played a few songs that I don't know all that well but that my guests who were dancing absolutely LOVED. I really appreciate all they did for making our reception fun and keeping the guests entertained. Fabulous job! -

Jay was amazing. He kept the dance floor packed the entire night and even got people to dance that normally don't dance at weddings. He really knew what he was doing. Getting the playlist and order of the songs after the fact was a really nice touch. Jay was very easy to work with and i would reccomend this vendor to anyone. -

We used Crestline for our DJ as well as our photobooth and it was awesome! Dan the DJ was so nice, he helped me with song decisions and he consulted me when he thought I might want to know what was going on with requests. he kept the party going all night long - played all the songs were requested and even found a few obscure songs we wanted. Can't recommend enough.
The photo booth was awesome and the guys running it was awesome!!! Get a photo booth! Do it! -

Jay was the DJ at our New Years Eve wedding so the pressure was on for a fun night. He arrived with plenty of time to get set up in the banquet room. We actually met with Jay a few days before the wedding to go over introductions, sequence of events and music selections. We were pretty clueless on just about everything so we relied on Jay to bring his expertise to the table. He helped me make sense of the sequence of events so that the evening flowed perfectly. We didn't have to worry about anything from the moment our reception begun. He included all of our must play songs and really felt out the room to see what else would work. If a song didn't work he recognized that and changed it and instantly our guests were back out there having a great time. I have never seen a wedding where people danced more than at our wedding. Once dinner was over the party didn't stop till 01:00. People came up to my husband and I as they were leaving and said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to and we definitely have to credit Jay for a part of that. We highly recommend Crestline Entertainment and Jay for any event! He was a big part of making our wedding the best night of our lives! -

Jay at Crestline was our DJ at my daughter's wedding New Year's Eve, 2012. I chose him from his reviews online and could not have been happier. We had a small wedding with 115 people. The dance floor was full the entire evening until 1:00 am. I would use him again if I had another wedding to plan. His prices are reasonable and he is very nice to work with. -

We would have paid much more for Jay, but don't tell him that! We were so nervous about hiring a DJ, as so many of them turn out to be really, really bad. But from start to finish Jay blew us away with his knowledge of music, great energy, and professionalism. We received so many compliments from our friends and guests, and would recommend him to anybody looking for a DJ.

The sound quality was perfect and he even found songs that were not easy to find! He also was great about reminding me of the bouquet toss and garter toss which i completely forgot about! My (now) husband and I were very fortunate to have excellent wedding vendors however our DJ Jay Frank was by far our best and favorite vendor! Jay is an amazing professional who truly takes the stress off you on your wedding day (and I’m sure for any other large event). All of his advice was EXCELLENT! At one point my husband and I were eager to do our first dance however the sweet table had just opened so he advised against it. He did an amazing job of keeping people on the dance floor and playing AMAZING music. All of our guests complemented the music selection which Jay was responsible for selecting 99% of since we didn’t spend a lot of time providing suggestions. If someone requested a song that Jay wasn’t sure we would like he would even check with us. He was also great about giving us notice before a big event or special song came on. Jay also had a great online portal to provide information he would need for the event as well as listen to song samples. There was a selection of songs provided for each component of the wedding ceremony, father/daughter dances, etc. Although this was meant for the DJ it was also helpful for us in terms of getting things in order. Jay was extremely flexible and helpful-even during the most stressful moments of wedding planning. He had the perfect level of involvement during our special night and he is a very skilled dancer and will help guests with dance instruction if you want him to! You definitely get what you pay for and more-he is extremely experienced and brings a lot of wisdom in terms of helping you make the best decisions for your event. My mom has used Crestline for many years and has worked with multiple of the DJS from there. Jay is her favorite but she said she has never had a bad experience with any of the DJS! -

Everyone at our reception raved about Jay and how amazing our music was! He kept everyone dancing all night! Really great sound system with lights the kids really enjoyed. Jay was so professional, easy to work with and contact, and worked with our special requests. Jay coordinated with our photographer to make sure all our special moments were caught in pictures. Dan @ Crestline exceeded our expectations for our wedding. He kept the dance floor full, guest entertained, and didn't forget to pay attention to the bride and groom. Communication was great throughout the process, the online wedding planner was conveninet, and the follow up card was a nice reminder that we were not just another client. Crestline provided our wedding with music for an outdoor ceremony, remote speakers for cocktails in a seperate room, mic'd the officiant and reader, and provided on the spot attention to guest requests and awesome lighting. Jay did a great job at our wedding. We had a Sunday afternoon outdoor wedding and Jay really put in a lot of effort to keep people dancing and having fun. My wife and I had an idea of what all makes up a successful wedding, but when it came to what songs we should use for which actiities, we just didn't know where to begin. We knew a couple of songs and genres that we were interested in, but for the most part we were pretty open to what was played.
From the beginning Jay was extremely helpful. He was patient with our lack of knowledge of the whole wedding process and professional in his dealings with us and our selected venue. He made suggestions and helped us make our way through planning out the ins and outs of the ceremony and reception and style it to our personal likings.
When the wedding finally came, I felt as if we had provided Jay with sufficient information to successfully dj the wedding, but I also felt like we left him with a very small picture of what music worked for us and our family. Later on I realized it didn't matter, because Jay had successfully read our family and was playing the best songs! Ones that we hadn't even mentioned to him that we liked. Jay is a mind reader whos only desire is to make your wedding memorable.
He was also amazingly flexible as he was prepared to make changes and accept requests seamlessly.
I thanked Jay profusely for helping create a memorable moment for my new wife and myself and still feel that I owe him greatly for such a job well done. Crestline was one of the best decisions my wife and I had made in relation to our wedding and there are not enough stars available to rate them properly. -

Jay, hands down, helped provide an awesome wedding for my husband and I. We received compliments all night and for days to come how good our DJ was at Crestline. The party just kept going with his help! Worth every penny that we spent. We had met with Jay summer of 2011 when we were visiting Chicago from New York instantly knew we wanted to work with him.
He had such great music selection, and what he didn't have, he went out and got for us. He hosted the event and played a vast selection of music for all age groups for the entirety of the night. He was able to tie in songs that were must plays and was respectful of songs that we absolutely did not want to have played at the wedding.
It was a pleasure to work with him and I would recommend him to anyone. He made the whole process stress-free. He called at the beginning of the week to go over all the specific details of important dances so that we wouldn't have to worry about it the day of. And everything was online, which was incredibly convenient being out of town. We can't wait to go back and listen to selection of songs that were played at the wedding to re-live the special time.
