Wedding and Reception

Mike was fantastic. He was running the show as the MC, DJ and keeping the party going the whole day. Mike made everything easy on us and the wedding party, by giving us a breakdown on how to schedule the day, while also giving us flexibility on all aspects.

We had a meeting with Mike a week before the wedding to discuss the itinerary for the day, which make the day of the wedding stress free. We were able to select our songs to create a playlist for the reception, and we were also able to choose the music for our first dance, walking down the isle, etc.

The sound system, lighting, and other equipment was top notch, and sounded excellent. Mike arrived to the venue with ample time to set up his equipment to make sure everything was ready to go.

I highly recommend Mike to anyone who needs a DJ with experience and to make sure your wedding or event, goes perfect!

Mike is incredible!

I can’t say enough about how easy it was working with Mike. From picking out the music to his constant contact back and forth with me and my wedding coordinator. He surprised us towards the end of our reception with a recorded audio of our vows and speeches that made my husband and I cry along with all of our guests. He definitely knows what he’s doing and made our day flawless!

Fun,professional, personable

Mike made our wedding such a blast! The first time we met with him to go over our ideas, he listened and bounced some great ideas. Mike is fun to work with, personable and helped us create personal touches within the wedding. He is very responsive and professional. We used DJ, lighting and photo booth services. The photo booth had a variety of fun props and the pictures are personalized with a created emblem and great quality. Mike kept the reception going all night and made the evening flow. He got our guests involved and our guests said the DJ was one of the best they have seen. We also got lighting services and he helped customize the color to make the reception room glow! I highly recommend Mike!

Absolutely incredible!

We did not bother to even look at any other DJs. Everyone said if we want the best we need to have Mike for our wedding, so we did just that and would not have changed a thing. His lighting, DJ, and photo booth were all perfect. He finds ways to tie in personal thoughts and ties and makes for a very memorable night. You know your DJ was good when all of the guests at our wedding have made comments on how incredible he was the weeks that came after the wedding. As long as he is not already booked, I would not look in any other direction!

Top notch service!

Choosing Michael to be our wedding DJ was one of the best decisions we made! He was friendly, FUNNY!, and very professional. He offers great ideas and suggestions based on his experience. Most impressive was how he customized several special requests songs for us for the First Dance, Mother Son Dance and a traditional Greek Dance I did with my Father and Brother. He directs and engages the crowd well too!

Amazing dj!

From the first phone to the very last song at our wedding, DJ Mike went above and beyond.

We got to meet up with Mike 3 months before to sit down and plan out all the details. He is very experienced and had a lot of great suggestions for our big day.

We had a few song selections that we wanted for our wedding, but left the rest up to mike... and he made our night so much fun. Everyone kept coming up to us telling us how much they loved all the music and dancing at our wedding.

The most impressive part of the whole experience with DJ mike was about 15 minutes before our last song. He had a huge surprise that literally brought us all to tears on the dance floor. I won't give away the surprise... but just know you're in for a special treat!!

Wow DJ Mike, you ROCK! Thank you for everything.

Cares about the Wedding, not just the Business

When I reached out to Michael we found out he was unfortunately not available during our wedding time, which really disappointed us because we liked his personality and professionalism when we met him at a vendor faire. But Michael did the next best thing: he recommended other DJs to us and even checked that they were available during our wedding date, and even gave us advice about how to go about picking vendors! I was blown away by his attention to making our day special and not just making it about another paycheck. So even though I did not get to see him DJ/MC, I would still recommend checking him out because he truly cares--something that may be difficult to ascertain in the wedding industry.

Wedding of a lifetime!

I want to thank Mike for spending so much time to make our wedding personal and memorable for a lifetime! He took the time to get to know us during our consultation and we knew then that he was the perfect fit for us. He helped make the wedding planning process so smooth and easy especially with our busy schedules, from our personal meetings to the online music profile. Not only was the music great, but he helped Direct our whole wedding and made the whole event very special for Robert and I, and even all of our guests! We can’t thank him enough. Dj/Photobooth

I knew Michael was the right fit for us from the moment we stepped in his office and he was very welcoming and helpful. My husband and I are big Disney nerds, and Michael incorporated this very well for us throughout the whole night. Michael hands down made our special day/night magical! He Dj’d for our wedding, and even kept a big secret that my mom had planned which was a photo booth, this was a great addition to the evening. Guests received prints within seconds of taking a picture with a border theme of the night(which of course for us was Disney). Our shadow entrance was a great way to start an amazing night, Michael even let my husband borrow mickey gloves to add a special touch to our entrance. My husband did the garter cannon, which is a brilliant idea Michael came up with, and totally made my husband smile from ear to ear. The special part of our night was the surprise group dance that Michael provided with voice recordings from events throughout the evening. We were amazed that he had done this for us and made the night memorable for not only us but guests as well. There was another surprise Michael had added in which was having each table write down things of why we should be married, he would then pick the best 3 this was a special little touch to get the guests interacting with one another. We had numerous guests come up to us and say how amazing Michael was and that he was very professional and made the whole night run smoothly! I would highly recommend Michael for any event. He is professional, friendly, his ideas are amazing and with Michael helping you with the planning part really will put you at ease!

Mike made our wedding day relaxing, fun and memorable.

Mike Anderson of Creative Memories was just amazing! We are an older couple and wanted someone to ‘take care of things’ for us. We were nervous about how things would work and what we needed to do during the ceremony and reception. We used Mke’s on line tools to pick what we wanted in the ceremony, from the music to the toasts, and he handled the rest. Except for the introductions and toasts that gave, he took care of the rest! It made us more relaxed, took away a lot of the nervousness of the ‘big day’ and gave us more time to spend with family and friends during the event. The music was perfect and the photo booth was a HUGH hit!! Some of the best pics we have of the wedding are family and friends ‘haming’ it up at the photo booth! It was a blast.
the day after the wedding and over the next few weeks, several of our friends told us that it was the best wedding they had been to. A huge amount of credit goes to Mike for his listening to what we wanted and then ‘making it happen’.

One of the best decisions we made was having Michael Anderson as our DJ and MC!

Michael exceeded our expectations from the day that we met him. He instantly has a long consultation with you to understand what you are looking forward and get to understand who we are as a couple. Best DJ Ever!

Our wedding day went so smoothly and working with Mike was the most wonderful experience. From the first time we met, we knew he was the perfect fit for our wedding. Mike is very professional and is very good at what he does. His equipment is top of the line, and there wasn't a single complication the entire wedding. He was very involved with us and our guests and kept the party alive and entertained at all times. He has a very large variety of music, and makes picking your songs so easy and fun. There was a song we liked, but wanted parts cut out and he made it exactly what we wanted. He met with us several times before our wedding and was always available to give us recommendations or answer questions whenever needed. The Best of the Best!!

From our first meeting, we knew we wanted to work with Mike. He is very professional and knows exactly what he is doing, and what we wanted. The up lighting he provided made our venue even more magical. The highlight of our night was the surprise at the end of the night, which was a group dance with the voice overs throughout the evening. It so much so much to us, and showed he really cared to make the most perfect night for us. Thank you Mike, we could not have asked for a better DJ on our wedding day.

Highly recommend Creative Memories Entertainment!

Mike was the first DJ we met, and the only one we met with because we booked him on the spot for DJ services and lighting! We had spoken with other DJs over the phone about their services and pricing, but we were unsure of whether to book them. However, we were immediately impressed with Mike's professionalism, experience, and creativity. Going into the meeting we had no idea what we were really looking for in a DJ - we just knew we needed someone who could play music that people could dance to. Mike does so much more than play music - he sets the tone of the entire event from start to finish. He would listen to our vision for the wedding and ideas and then enhance them with his creativity and experience. He really listened to us and paid attention to our wants and needs. Mike remembered that my grandparents could not travel to come to the wedding, and completely surprised me by contacting them before the wedding and recording a message from my grandparents that he played at our reception. It was one of my favorite memories from that day. He also put together a "farewell song" that was another total surprise at the end of the dance. I won't go into more details so as not to spoil it for anyone else, but it was incredible and we got so many comments on it from our guests. He also helps to coordinate all of the vendors before the wedding to make sure everyone is on the same page.

Booking Mike as our DJ was one of the very best decisions we made during the planning process! He really made the event special for us and our guests, and we didn't have to stress about a thing! I highly recommend Mike and Creative Memories Entertainment.

We found mike at our venue’s open house and from the moment we met him I knew he would be the perfect DJ for our wedding. He was so professional yet so much fun and most importantly SO CREATIVE. Hence the name. We were lucky enough to have him for our wedding and we used him for our DJ, we also used the lighting and photo booth services. Everyone absolutely loved the photo booth and mike was able to bring his own props so we didn’t have to stress about bringing any. That was a huge hit on our wedding night. During our meetings with mike we were able to come up with so many great things like the voice over song I did for my father daughter dance and our shadow entrance. Moments like these well never forget all because we spent the extra money to make sure we had the best DJ in town. Wee couldn’t have asked for a better DJ or night. One thing that stook out to us and till makes me cry today re hearing it play over again is our last song mike put together for us. I told him to surprise us and he sure did. Mike recorded everything fro the “I Do’s” to the welcoming speeches to the speeches of family and friends and mixed it all together into one final dance song and man was that the biggest and best surprise I could of ever asked for. So much thought and meaning in that and I still listen to it over and over again. Overall, I wouldn’t have chosen any other DJ and I’m so glad mike was available because he was just so great and always on time. Thanks again for making our wedding one well never forget. Michael Anderson did a great job for us at our wedding. From the first discussion, he was enthusiastic, thoughtful, creative and very happy to accommodate any requests we had. He kept the evening flowing smoothly as an unobtrusive but quite capable master of ceremonies (even when a minor disaster happened in the mother-son dance.) The crowd of attendees that ranged in age from 9 months to 91 years happily danced the night away to Michael's great selection of music. We highly recommend Creative Memories for any wedding or other event that needs music to make it magical.

We hired Mike/Creative Memories Entertainment for our wedding in September 2017. It was rustic, and the ceremony was in an open barn. Mike made everything fun, starting with the planning. I've been told by more than a few people that it was the most fun they've ever had at a wedding. My husband and I are not the most extroverted of people, so a lot of that energy came from Mike. The lighting was beautiful, and the snow was a great touch: in September, in a barn and I swear it was 90 degrees. He made the night magical and so much fun. Best of all was not really having to worry about any of it because he was so professional.

Mike was so great in helping me plan and execute my wedding day! Mike with Creative Memories Entertainment is simply the BEST! If you are going with a DJ, we highly recommend meeting with him and seeing what he’s all about. We owe everything running so smoothly and our guests having the time of their lives all to him!!

We used Mike for DJ services and the photo booth. You can combine these services as a package at a totally reasonable price!! As for the DJ services, I’m not sure we can put into words how wonderful he was. We had met with multiple other DJ services before but nothing really special stood out. When we met Mile, his kindness and knowledge level and excitement for the job made us 100% sure he was the right one for the job. He meets with you multiple times prior to the wedding and really nails down a timeline of the day which helps more than you might know. He has done a ton of these so he really has great input! It seems nothing is off-limits. We did something special for our father-daughter dance and mother- son dance. He was able to combine he songs and make everything go off without a hitch. There was never an awkward silence at our wedding and everything flowed so nicely. Multiple guests complemented us on how wonderful he was and what a great time they had. He made sure the dance floor was always moving and at the end of the night, he did the most amazing combination of a song and parts of the ceremony and speeches and toasts from throughout the night. It was an amazing surprise and looked to bring a few tears to peoples eyes.

As for the photo booth,it was running right after the ceremony and went until last call. He had an attendant there all night. It’s an open photo booth so you can literally cram as many people as you want! Running out of room so keeping that short :))
If you want to make sure your wedding is truly special and you want a DJ that knows that he’s doing, we highly recommend booking Mike! We are so happy he was such a large part of our special day and made it so memorable and amazing!!

The best DJ in Sacramento! Seriously! We used him for my daughter's wedding last year. He is professional, responsive. He did exactly what my daughter wanted. Many of the wedding guests raved about him and wondered where we found him! My husband and I were lucky enough to have Mike as our MC for our wedding this past August. We originally met him at our venues open house and right off the bat we noticed his energy and professionalism. After meeting with him we new we didn't need to look elsewhere. We included uplighting in our package and it really did change the atmosphere of the room. From start to finish Mike was fun and easy to work with. We received multiple compliments from guests on how smoothly everything went in which he played a big part of. One of the most memorable parts of the evening was the end. We did not have an exit plan and Mike went above and beyond to make sure we had a special end to our special day. I would recommend him to any couple looking for an MC for their big day. We hired Creative Memories to help us with our 30th wedding and vow renewal. We hired him to be the master of ceremonies, DJ, lighting, and photo booth. From the start, Mike was very professional. He was very creative and thoughtful in helping create the event that we wanted. He took the time to listen to our story and personalize the entire evening. He was able through projections and lighting to create the atmosphere we were looking for. He incorporated some of our favorite pictures to project them on the walls and create video behind them to bring them to life. The photo booth was a hit as well. He incorporated the theme of the evening in the back drop of the photos. Prints were made available immediate for all our guests and we received a copy and a thumb nail drive of all our guests pictures. Very good DJ. Made all feel comfortable and was able to get all dancing very quickly. All our guests had a fantastic time. The biggest surprise was at the end of the evening. He had recorded the toasts, speeches, and the pastor through out the evening. During the last song of the evening, he had mixed the recording into the last slow dance. It blew my wife and I away. I don't know how he had the time to pull that off during the evening but it was very well done and a great surprise. After the evening was over, he sent us a copy of the recording and the mix with the music. It's very special to us. I would highly recommend Mike and his company to support any large event that would require his skill and services.

I can not say enough amazing things about Mike! From the very first time we met with him to the day of the wedding he was so professional and made our wedding day feel like one he has never done before! He helped us come up with amazing ideas for the whole night to be able to surprise our guests! We heard all night for our guests about how amazing Mike was! Mike did our photo booth, lighting, and was our disc jokey, he is a one stop shop! If you are like me and like having less vendors, hire Mike! He is worth every penny! He called up all of our vendors a week before the wedding to coordinate with them to make sure the night was going to run as smooth as possible! Micheal went above an beyond for our wedding. We truly felt that we were his only client, because he always made time for us and was very accommodating to all our needs. He was worth every penny, so don't skimp on adding value to your occasion. We also added the photo booth package which enhanced our event more that we could have known at the time. Creative, Memories, and Entertainment are accurate words to describe Mike and the magic he can bring to your event. My husband and I were immediately impressed by his expertise, charisma, professionalism, preparedness, organization, attention to detail, variety of services, and flexibility. He really does his homework with surveys/forms that he asks the bride and groom to fill out. Before our first meeting, he built a prototype of the floating lanterns and had already custom-made Disney- and Tangled-themed monogram options for us. And--having a tech-savvy, particular, and artistic husband who is not easily impressed and always has lots of feedback/suggestions--Mike happily made adjustments to our satisfaction. Mike really makes the evening memorable with his great energy, organization, the ambiance he creates, and the photo booth he provides. He is very engaging and energetic in the way he speaks, and has the event planning/MC-ing down to a science. In addition to the Tangled-themed video wall, one of the highlights of our wedding that everyone talked about after was the "Snow Elegance" effect. For an indoor wedding in July, this was truly a magical and unique experience. And the photo booth was the best I have experienced at a wedding for several reasons: 1. They print as many photos as there are people in the picture plus one for the bride and groom (rather than a fixed number of prints); 2. They provide a ton of fun props.

Mike was the first wedding vendor we met with and although we had meetings set up with other djs, I told my mom we were not leaving his office without putting a deposit down. He gave us so many ideas in just that first meeting that I walked in feeling stressed and overwhelmed and I left feeling calm and actually looking forward to the rest of the planning. Mike spent hours with us helping plan any and all details of our wedding. We used his dj, lighting, and photobooth services and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. He surprised me by contacting my best friend who lives in New York who wasn't able to travel to attend the wedding and had her record a special message that was played during the speeches. There was also a surprise that he set up at the end of the night that I don't want to give away for any other brides, but it was the most magical moment of my wedding. He also took a recording of the entire ceremony, all of the speeches, and other important moments and sent them to us after the ceremony. Mike did too much that it is impossible to fit it into a small review, but I will say if you are getting married, you need to book Mike today!!!

I got married in May and Creative memories provided me with top notch service all around. Michael was my DJ and he is the best there is in this business. Mike Anderson is the best DJ out there!!!! He made our day so memorable. We had a couple hiccups on our day but he defiantly saved it ! We had beautiful uplighting during our reception and he changed it up to party mode later in the night. Considering we had a wild crowd he fit right in with us ! He even gave us a custom entrance and played our proposal we had recorded on a huge screen. The possibilities with Mike are endless ! I could go on forever about how great he is. You have to work with him to truly realize how amazing he is. Love you Mike!

Mike was an absolute pleasure. I was meeting with several vendors trying to do my due diligence for our wedding. I met with him first and a different vendor that same evening. I knew after leaving from our consultation that CME was the way to go. I still met with the other vendor and it just solidified my decision. Mike paid attention at every detail and built up from there. He took the ideas for our monogram and made them better. The photobooth was the hit of the wedding the props and lovely assistant were more than I was expecting. Quality of the pictures are second to none. Mike has a great sense of atmosphere with his music choice and lighting to get the perfect moment.

I can't say enough great things about Mike and April with Creative Memories! They clearly are experts in their profession and they made our wedding so fun and seamless for our guests. We worked with Creative Memories for Ceremony audio, DJ and MC for the reception, as well as utilizing their photobooth services. Audio of the ceremony was fantastic, as the DJ and MC Mike kept the crown engaged and played music to keep the crowd dancing! April at the photobooth was always extremely helpful and wonderful throughout the night and the photos came out great!
We had talked to other DJ's before for pricing and with Mike's responsiveness and professionalism and competitive pricing exceeded the others and we are so happy with our decision. If your looking for a DJ for your event, meet with Mike, talk to him about your vision and I'm sure your expectations will be exceeded!

Very easy to work with, guides you, has great ideas, he is a true professional who knows what he is doing. Loved the website were you could pick your songs and enter information about our wedding. The Monogram lighting above our fireplace at Catta Verdera was perfect. He helped design it and it came out perfect. The photo booth with April was a hit at our wedding. He helped design the background of the photo strips.

Michael is a true entertainer!! For most other DJ's, just playing good music is the standard but Michael goes above and beyond. He knows what it takes to get the crowd up and dancing and will keep it going until the end of the night. I first met/heard Mike do his thing at our friends wedding (had soo much fun) and had no doubt that I wanted Mike to handle our big day!

From the get go, his responsiveness was quick and professional. My fiancé (now husband:)) and I had a quick timeline for planning our wedding and Mike went above and beyond to help us have a amazing/memorable wedding day! He met with us a few times and always took the time to explain the day (we had no clue how much there was to plan/think about) and he put our minds at ease with the planning tools that he provided to us.

We had some challenges at our venue that we didn't know/think about ahead of time....no elevator for his equipment, started raining (outside in Tahoe) but yet Mike just smiled and said No Problem, and he made sure that we still had the best day ever. We did.

Not only did my husband and I have the best day ever, all of our family and friends came up to us and said that our wedding was one of the most fun weddings that they have attended. We have to give that credit to Mike. He did an amazing job keeping the "flow" of the day (which took stress off of me) From the sound system at the ceremony, to the announcements at the reception to the fun music/songs played for dancing! I don't want to spoil the end, but trust me. He did a surprise for my husband and I that was/is priceless!

Both my husband and I agree, that there is no doubt that you should hire Mike to handle your big day! You will not be sorry...the best!

Mike is much more than a DJ. He was basically my wedding planner. During our appointments, he sat with my now husband and I for HOURS. He brought up so many details that I didn't even think of. He made sure that everything was in place the day of and small things, like our Champagne Flutes, were exactly where they should be. He helped me come up with fun ideas for games. He even got down into the typical family drama to make sure not to bring up touchy subjects. His website was also way more than I expected. It was so easy to pick songs out for everything, and he helped me come up with great songs when I couldn't find one. And even though we didn't end up needing it, I definitely had peace of mind knowing that Mike could stand in for our officiant, if needed. He was really prepared to make sure nothing went wrong.

My #1 concern about my venue, was the boring room we used for the reception. It has a big snack bar in it that was used as the bar. He did an amazing job creating drapery that completely separated it away from my reception area. It felt like it was a completely different room. Combined with the uplighting, I felt like I was in a completely different place on my wedding day.

I highly recommend that you book Mike. He his experience is so obvious from the very first time you talk to him. His wife, April, helped with my wedding and she is amazing too.

Got married in December and we used Mike for DJ and lighting and got so much more. We interviewed 3 other DJ's and Mike was the last one we talked with and my wife and I immediately knew we were going to choose him. He is so approachable, easy to talk to, and extremely helpful with ideas and song choices. He has a the website that you can select songs from dozens of types of lists to get inspiration for first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, or select songs from top 200 wedding songs, top trending songs, and many more lists for selecting must play songs, songs we like, and do not play songs. Find a song not searchable on his site and he will add it for your wedding.
From our initial interview, talks on the phone or emails, to our last meeting before the wedding, Mike is clearly prepared and truly interested in creating a wedding unique to you. To helping pick a song for mother/son dance, to being enthusiastic about having me introduce the wedding party and him loop the intro to Thunderstruck while I talk over it so the lyrics won't start too soon.
Calling him a professional is an understatement. With Mike you get a fantastic DJ, a thoughtful and well spoken MC, and a true professional with an eye for detail. Whether it's with the lighting, or asking the questions that you never even thought of, he's another wedding planner to make everything perfect.
Mike was so helpful even with our ceremony. Our officiant had called and spoke with him about music during the ceremony and timing of everything. When we first interviewed Mike, he said he only does a certain number of weddings a year to make sure he is properly available to you and it clearly showed.
And our lighting was amazing! He worked with us in selecting the color we wanted for the ceremony and rehearsal, and had powerful lights to fill the walls and ceiling just like he said when we interviewed him.
Mike topped all our expectations of what a DJ can do for our wedding.

My husband and I recently got married in October. When we started the planning process for our wedding, we knew a DJ was one of the most important aspects, and that it would make or break our wedding. One of our friends had Mike as their DJ for their wedding, so we knew we needed to meet him and see if he was a good fit. Immediately I know we were going to book with him. He was very open, inviting, and flexible. He helped us stay within price range, while also providing the up most quality service. We had Mike for our ceremony and reception. He also provided up lighting to help capture the beauty of our venue. Mike also included some fun into the wedding with having a canon gun for the garter toss, and the Shoe Game, so our family and friends could learn more about us as a couple. The days leading up to the wedding, Mike called to go over every detail making sure our day was perfect. On the actual day, everything ran really smoothly, more smooth than I could've expected. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how it was one of the best weddings they've been to. They kept saying how smooth each transition was, and how Mike got people out on the dance floor. He really personalized our wedding to fit us as a couple, and not just a cookie cutter DJ schedule. Mike made sure to include himself in certain parts, but didn't over do it, like some DJs might. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend Mike for any event, especially a wedding.

Mike is without a doubt, the BEST DJ in Northern California, definitely the best in the entire state, and probably the best in the country!! Five minutes into our first conversation with Mike, my husband and I knew we would book him for our wedding. He worked with us throughout the entire planning process to see if we had any questions, needed any advice, and to make sure we stayed on track!

What makes Mike and Creative Memories Entertainment so special is that Mike custom designs your wedding reception tailored to you and your fiancé! He prides himself on never doing the same reception twice, and after our wedding I know this to be a fact! He is second to none when it comes to reading the crowd and doing what it takes to get them on the dance floor and have a great time! After booking our venue, booking Mike was the second easiest decision we had to make (probably even easier than deciding we wanted to get married in the first place!)

We also booked out photo booth through Mike, and he custom designed a layout for us. We chose to have the photo booth during cocktail hour for more formal pictures, and during the reception for fun pics with TONS of props he provides. They printed a picture within seconds for each person in the picture, and also provided us with copies of all the pictures at the end of the night! It was the perfect addition to our wedding!

If you want to book Mike, you should probably book him now, because I am 100% sure if you don't, someone else will! This guy books up FAST!

We have just finished celebrating the wedding of our second daughter to get married. Mike has provided dj services for both. But he is so much more than a dj! He really helps in the orchestrating of the entire celebration. He helps think through every element and brings special attention to detail to make sure all things are accounted for. He takes the time to ensure the songs which will play are perfectly fit. It is obvious that he personally cares for the success and greatness of the day, paying attention to details way outside the scope of providing music (speaking with those giving speeches to give input and ensure they are comfortable, wiping fingerprints of toasting flutes and making sure they are placed just right; just a couple of details I witnessed). I am fortunate to work in the wedding industry and recognize the professionalism, fun and friendly demeanor, as well as absolute skill as an entertainer, of Mike Anderson! One might be tempted to think that "just playing music" is an easy thing to "cover", but the quality of service which Mike provides creates an absolute atmosphere and keeps things flowing smoothly throughout the entire event.
The first piece of advice given to my daughter when she became engaged (from my daughter and son in law from their wedding experience), was to get Mike Anderson to facilitate their day! He's the best!!!

I can't say enough about mike. This was one of easiest decisions to make for our wedding.

We had attended several weddings and asked many people around for recommendation for DJ and entertainment. Mike Anderson is synonymous with entertainment services.

Mike has been working this business since he was a teen. We were immediately comfortable talking with him and did not take long to secure his services.

He knows the ins and out. He is current. He works with you and let's the night or event be as you planned. He takes the personal approach and helps coordinate.

We had several months to plan out our songs. He has various entertainment options including lighting, music library (able to get songs that are not on his list), photo booth, montages and the likes.

The day of our wedding he helped us not just with the music but for the activities. He is not just entertainment but helps keep those on tight schedules on point.

Mike was AWESOME. Last year during the wedding planning process, he was my favorite wedding vendor and my now husband and I knew we wanted him to be our DJ. He made us so comfortable. He edited our first dance song to a shorter version, got to know us on a personal level and our wedding party, and was basically like another wedding coordinator. He had us login to input a list of songs we liked, didn't want, etc. and I was telling him about how we wanted to surprise my in laws (and other married couples) with an "longest married dance" to the song "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green. In one of the forms, he asked if there were any anniversaries we wanted to recognize, and I mentioned that we had family friends (John and Edita) who had their 20th wedding anniversary exactly the week after our wedding. On the wedding, he gathered all the married couples and then said,"I know there is an anniversary coming up next week, so whoever you are, please step in". He went above and beyond to make our wedding FUN and SPECIAL. So many guests have told me that this was one of the most fun weddings they have ever been to, and I owe it to Mike. He made a wonderful MC and made the reception go by smoothly, and knew how to set the mood for the night. He also set up a Photobooth and it was a HIT!!! And he incorporated little details towards the end that made our wedding extra special. He recorded snippets of the toasts from our parents, best man and matron of honor, and played it out loud. Then my husband and I had our last dance to "Lights" by Journey, and Mike gathered our guests to circle us as we were dancing. Please do yourself a favor and look no further than hiring Mike for your DJ/MC/Photobooth/Uplighting services...a one stop shop! And he seriously knows how to make you and the crowd super special. I cannot thank him enough. He is patient, passionate, and talented! What more can you ask for? I cannot rave about him enough!

From start to finish, Creative Memories provided us with the best experience I could've dreamed possible. We had a little over a month to plan our wedding we were in a rush to find all of our vendors and Michael was extremely accommodating and flexible with all of our requests; so it was an easy decision to go with him. My husband and I were so happy we did because the whole entertainment part of our big day couldn't have gone more flawlessly and helped to make our wedding absolutely perfect! Thank you!!!

Creative Memories exceeded all expectation on our wedding day! Not only did our wedding coordinator rave about the DJ, but our guests continue to talk about what a seamless reception we had. With all the chaos of wedding planning we really appreciated that Mike was such a great planner, helping us pick the important songs, and choosing music at the reception that kept our guests happy. We also added the photo booth and can't believe we almost opted out of it. We were surprised to see all our images projected throughout the night. We recommend Mike to anyone who could use his services!

Couldn't have asked for more from our master of ceremonies for our wedding reception, Mike Anderson. We knew from our very first meeting discussing the wedding that we were going to be in good hands. You can really tell that Mike has been in the business a LONG time due to how detailed and organized our planning meetings were. We had Mike DJ as well as provide lighting for our reception and were extremely happy with how everything turned out. When we first walked in during our grand entrance, my wife looked at each other and said, "wow, the lighting looks amazing, it really transformed the space!!!" The atmosphere that Mike created during the reception using the lighting, music, and his charm was truly outstanding. All our family and friends are still wishing we can relive that night of fun and dancing!

We chose Mike to be our DJ/MC, do our lighting, and provide our photobooth. I could not stress enough what an amazing DJ he is. I have been to many weddings where all the DJ does is stand behind his computer and play music and make a few announcements. Mike is SO much more than that. He wrangled our whole wedding party multiple times, kept everyone's attention focused, and generally made our reception run as smoothly as possible. It was almost like he acted as a day-of-coordinator. You really get so much bang for your buck when you hire Mike.
The lighting was out of this world and really transformed the room and set the mood all night. I am SO SO glad we decided to have him to do the lighting.
The photobooth was such a hit, we couldn't keep people out of it. Mike also created the most awesome custom logo for the printout, I sent him an email with what seemed like a somewhat difficult request and he had it done just a few minutes later. He also sent me home the night of the wedding with the USB from the photobooth AND posted all the photos on Facebook just a few days after the event for everyone to see.

We attended two weddings that Michael Anderson w/Creative Memories DJ'd prior to booking our wedding and he did such a great job that we decided that he was our first choice of DJ's for our wedding. He doesn't just play music, he does a great job of MC'ing, keeping the momentum going, and playing the right music for the right moment. He was good about meeting with us beforehand and making sure that he was tailoring his services to the type of wedding that we wanted and was attentive to what was most important for us. Everyone who attended our wedding had a blast, people still tell us how fun our wedding was, and it was in large part to great job Michael did for us. We would highly recommend him for any event.

Mike was such pleasure working with for our DJ, Lighting, and Photobooth! Leading up to the wedding, he made us feel very at ease knowing he will make sure everything goes well on the day of the wedding. He was very easy to reach, talk with on the phone, and prompt with his responses through email. We met multiple times prior to the wedding to go over many in depth details. He was very organized and wrote down every detail we mentioned. He was easy to talk to and ready to provide his seasoned opinion whenever we needed it. He brought his own touches to the wedding with the shadow entrance idea and shoelywed game. These two additions were loved by all our guests and they commented about them during and after the wedding because it was so unique.

On the day of the wedding, he was more than what we expected him to be. He kept the party rolling and continued to get the guests involved in dancing. We always had people on the dance floor and he played a great variety of songs for all generations.

Many people commented on how Mike was very involved in the wedding, clapping at various different times, always smiling, and making sure to give us guidance on what we need to do next according to timeline. Many people mentioned he was a great DJ and did far more than expected.

We also loved the photobooth! The technology was great, there were awesome props he and his assistant provided and many of our guests enjoyed having fun taking various pictures with each other.

Lastly, the lighting was great too. We had 16 uplights that were provided and they added such an ambiance to the room. During dancing, they changed colors and added the dancing feeling.

Overall, Mike was a great choice as our DJ, lighting, and photobooth vendor and we would recommend him to anyone who plans an event in the future!

I can't say enough how happy we were going with Creative Memories Entertainment. We hired Mike to be our wedding DJ as well as do the lighting. We shopped around before choosing, and one of the qualities I liked most about Mike is that each phone call we had was professional and he was always well prepared. This was definitely not the case with many of the other DJ companies we had called, in which I felt more like I was interrupting their day by calling them to discuss their services. Mike was always prepared both on the phone and in person.
Mike is a pro in his industry and has some wonderful ideas to keep the party going. Say yes to doing the "shoeleywed game" because our guests are still raving about it! When going with Mike, you're not just getting someone to play songs at your wedding, you're getting someone to keep the night flowing, keep things on time, and an emcee to get your guests' attention at important moments. You're getting a well-organized, full-of-ideas, wonderful public speaking DJ to be on your wedding team. He made us feel really special and did a wonderful job!
His online planning tools are very easy to use and I found them to be quite helpful. He even has lists of different categories to get you inspired on choosing important songs (for example, top 50 most popular cake cutting songs, top 200 songs current to today, etc). He did an amazing job playing all our special songs as well as keeping everybody up and dancing literally all night long.
I don't want to ruin any surprises because I remember how certain surprises made me feel, but he definitely has a few tricks up his sleeve to make you feel special! Mike was wonderful, our wedding was amazing, and the only issue you might have to deal with when hiring him is getting a bigger dance floor because our guests were dancing all night long!

Mike Anderson with Creative Memories Entertainment was amazing and the perfect choice for our wedding!! He was super easy to work with and very professional all the way through. We met with him before the wedding a couple of times to make sure all of the details were just right. The sound was great and the lights made a big difference! He announced everything perfectly to keep the night moving along and he even adapted to some last minute changes to the ceremony with ease. We also used their photo booth setup and it was a huge hit! People loved being able to take photos home with them and they looked great with his custom design. I had read plenty of good reviews about Mike Anderson already and he absolutely met and exceeded all of our expectations. We would hire him again in a heartbeat!

Creative Memories DJ was the BEST wedding MC that I have ever experienced in my life. I have attended numerous weddings and events. None of the other DJ's or MC's even come close to comparing with Mike. He was so helpful through the entire process. He was excellent at communicating and asking the right questions to help us discover what type of flow and feel we wanted for our wedding. His personality, friendliness and professionalism are unmatched. He was involved in the process of our entire wedding and was so great at communicating with the other vendors, bridal party, family and the officiant. Mike was so professional.
He was very responsive to all my questions and always got back to me in a timely manner. We were very impressed with his services and the overall look and feel he was able to provide in terms of music and ambiance on the day of. He really personalized the reception for us, and knew exactly what kinds of things we'd like or what would get the crowd going. There was never a dull moment and all the guests said they had fun! He also provided the photobooth, and I would say compared to all others I've seen and been in as a guest at other events, his was the best! Quality of pix, props, personalization, and even the attendant was helpful!

Mike has a fantastic sense of humor and a great feel for a crowd. He was so helpful getting our lighting and music figured out, and his website made it super easy. Our guests had an absolute blast on the dance floor. I never even had to think about how the sound ended up working, he handled setup entirely behind the scenes, and walked everyone through ceremony mic-ing, toasts, introductions, etc. Both my husband and I work in the video game industry, and Mike went above and beyond and found us an old Tetris set with custom retro controllers and projected it into the venue's pool! It was a great way to add our love of games into our wedding, while still making it fun for all our various guests.

I am so glad we choose to work with Mike at Creative Memories Entertainment!!! I would absolutely recommend him again. I have had the pleasure of being at three events dj'd by Mike (including my own wedding). He did an incredible job at my sister's wedding, then my friend's wedding, and finally my wedding. Every time I thought he couldn't possibly impress me more, he did. I did not hire a wedding planner so when I sat down for our DJ planning meeting with Mike I was scattered and overwhelmed to say the least, but I walked out his door at the end of the meeting feeling as though all of the puzzle pieces were coming together. His song selection was huge and if he didn't have a song we wanted, he quickly got it for us. He even helped edit the song I recorded for my husband to walk down the aisle to (and helped keep it a secret to suprise the groom). His amazing work didn't end there... he helped lead our wedding rehearsal Because the pastor couldn't be there. At the wedding he entertained guests and moved things along on a schedule that kept my husband and I from having to stress about time restraints. He did special lighting that made the reception hall glow and the outdoor dance floor feel magical. I asked him to choose the dance music because my husband and I aren't big dancers. The guests loved it, and surprisingly he had us both on the dance floor all night. The best part was his surprise for us at the end of the night. He asked us to gather on the dance floor and all of a sudden we heard our vows being played back over beautiful music. It brought tears to many eyes. I didn't even know he had recorded the vows. I hope I've reflected in words how amazing Mike is but I really think you should find out for yourself. You will NOT be disappointed!!!

Mike was awesome. He had so many ideas in creating the most perfect wedding for us. He was funny, welcoming, on the ball and was very willing to work on Halloween. Everyone at the wedding was impressed by his kindness and professionalism. I would definitely recommend Mike to my friends!

MC Mike Anderson was not only professional but the most genuine and exciting vendor to work with! When we first met Mike, we thought we knew what we wanted from our DJ but he had so many suggestions and ideas that we would have never even thought of. He gave us a book that had more of those similar suggestions (like the shoe-ly we game) that he could work into the the reception/ceremony that really were a hit with our guests. Mike went above and beyond in every way possible from his VAST music selection to his photo booth and lighting services. Mike is a perfectionist and what more could you ask for?? He made sure everything was perfect for our monogram and accommodated our crazy schedules; he knew what recommendations to make and in no way was he ever pushy or a "salesman/spot light hog". On the contrary be kept out party alive, always brought the attention to us and people couldn't get enough of him. His booth, system, and mics were all professional and not distracting in any way. His light system and music selection software was cutting edge and the photo booth (which doubled as our favors) was so fun with cool props drawing people the whole night. Honestly we can't say enough about how grateful we were to have Mike Anderson as our DJ (he fixed my bustle too, lifesaver!!) he worked well with all of our vendors and made sure we didn't have to worry about a thing.

I was blessed to find Mike on this website, and thankful for the helpful comments so I feel I should do the same. Mike was very organized and provided many options that one wouldn't think was possible. Instead of throwing one bouquet, why not a bouquet that breaks apart into three? What if we do this song for this moment? It was great having him there with us on the big day. I feel it's important to have that one person who will make the day entertaining for everyone, and Mike is your guy. His online service of allowing you to pick what songs you want to play is amazing if you are a planning a wedding from a far-distance, and his accessibility via email and phone is amazing.

Mike made our wedding amazing! His lighting was great and it gave my new wife the fairy tale setting that she wanted! I can't even tell you how many people have said that my wedding was the best that they have ever been to. Mike is great at adapting to what your vision is for the wedding. We were on a budget and had to cut costs where we could and decided not to get a wedding planner. However, I quickly realized that Mike was more than just a DJ and was able to take all the stress out for us pertaining to the day of the wedding. Mike was able to keep us on track and made sure we got all the things done that we wanted to do. Of all the decisions we made pertaining to our wedding, Mike was definitely one of the best. Mike was very helpful in the planning of the songs and timeline for our wedding! Before the wedding, we were able to choose our special songs with Mike in person. When we didn't know what type of song we wanted, Mike offered suggestions without being pushy and offered unique ways to enhance the once in a lifetime experience.
During the wedding, everything went off without a hitch. He even gave us a heads up of what was coming next with quick cues on what we should be doing. I don't know what we would have done without him, but I'm so glad that he was there to make our wedding a blast!

We had Mike Anderson DJ at our wedding and I could not have expected or asked for anyone better! He did an outstanding job! Everyone had so much fun! Everything went smoothly and he helped out way beyond the typical DJ! He kept things lively and entertaining! So professional, just amazing!!
Leading up to the wedding he was there for us so much with helping us with everything! He met up with us several times just to make sure we were feeling comfortable and grasp our vision for the wedding. We could totally trust that we could leave things up to him and that it would turn out great! Being in the military, we ended up having to bump our entire wedding up by two weeks!! He helped us out above and beyond!! Though he had already got another event on this new date he even set up for another DJ to come start our wedding off before he could arrive!
Our wedding was amazing because of him and his expertise, I am so appreciative for everything he did for us! I would recommend Mike Anderson to any family member, friend or aquantance for any event. You wont regret it!

Mike is THEE man for the job! Goes above and beyond in his service. Customizes everything from the wedding music when the bridal party walks out, to the music at the reception. He gets your guests up and moving. He keeps the atmosphere fun and energetic. Works with you in whatever challenge you can give him. For my wedding it was Nintendo themed, and Mike was able to work with my now husband to create a fun yet elegant monogram to be displayed. This man is truly talented. I HIGHLY recommend him.

My husband and I had a great experience working with Mike, he went above and beyond just being our DJ. He helped plan and coordinate the timing of our entire wedding. He got there early to set up and even helped the other vendors. We were very happy that he took the time to find out about our relationship and the type of environment we wanted our wedding to be. He gladly incorporated all our favorite songs and avoided the ones on our LONG do not play list. haha. We had multiple people tell us what a great job he did and we are so glad that we chose him to be a part of our special day!

Let me start this review by first stressing how important the DJ is at a wedding! The DJ has the ability to make or break the entire day so when choosing a DJ be very picky!!! I found Mike Anderson on Google and sent him an email detailing what I was looking for. Mike called me back and my husband and I met with him that night. Mike knows what he is doing! We signed a contract with him before we left our first meeting. He sent us an event planner that asked us a series of questions and also gathered information about how we met and about everyone in our bridal party. Mike made our wedding FUN! He recommended games that we could play that would make the day more enjoyable for our guests and more memorable for us. We opted to play 2 of the games and they were a HUGE hit! We have them on video (both professional and amateur) and we still watch them almost daily. Mike got everyone involved in the day and kept them dancing and entertained. I would recommend Mike Anderson to everyone.

Mike went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was special. He was extremely helpful, attentive, and flexible throughout the entire planning process. On the day of, Mike was incredibly helpful by keeping us on schedule and making sure everything went smoothly. The lighting he provided was beautiful and added the perfect touch to our reception room. We highly recommend Mike for his professionalism, attention to detail, and talent.
