We had a fantastic experience with Creative Catering of Virginia. They created a fully custom vegan and vegetarian menu for us and were incredibly flexible throughout the process. They took all of our feedback from the tastings and adjusted the menu until it was exactly what we wanted.
The food was outstanding—everything was flavorful, well-cooked, and served promptly. We chose a buffet-style service and really loved that option; it worked smoothly and was a great fit for our event. Some standout favorites were the coconut tofu with mango sauce, stuffed mushrooms, gouda mac and cheese, portabella pasta, and the late-night burger sliders and potstickers. We received lots of compliments from our guests on how good the food was.
The catering staff and bartenders were friendly, professional, and on point all night. They did a great job with our custom cocktails and handled everything seamlessly, including cutting and serving the cake.
Overall, the food, service, and attention to detail were excellent, and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. We highly recommend them. -

We absolutely loved using Creative Catering for our wedding! Caitlin and Courtnee were so accommodating and helpful with our many requests and questions! The food was amazing and our guests are still reaching out to us to tell us how much they loved everything they ate. We especially heard that the guests loved the salmon, and many people said it was the best they have ever had! The staff was so nice and attentive to the bridal party throughout the day, bringing us drinks and food as we took pictures and constantly telling us how much fun they were having, too! I highly recommend Creative Catering for great food and staff who make you feel important on your special day. -

We knew we would be contracting Creating Catering of VA from the moment we attended a tasting with them. Cortnee Lane and Caitlin Murphy kept an open line of communication with us for the months leading up to our wedding and helped us finalize all the details of our meal. The options were plentiful, and we were incredibly happy with the menu we chose. We had a buffet style meal with an open bar. Everything went perfectly and we heard from numerous guests that they loved the food. We highly recommend working with them!

Excellent!
My name is Cynthia. I am the bride's mother, and this is a review of the amazing team of vendors who helped me execute the vision for my daughter's wedding.
It all started close to two years ago when my daughter Madison called me to tell me she had just gotten engaged. Around two months later, she created her Pinterest board and showed it to me, and just like that... that was my queue!
I was a wedding planner so I know how much work and planning a wedding takes. I called Madison and told her we would start interviewing vendors immediately. She asked if it was too soon and my answer was no! Weddings take about a year to a year and a half to plan. At the time Madison was a full-time employee and studying to get her Master's degree, so she was very limited in all of the planning, her main focus was finishing school before the wedding.
Living in a different state, I depended on the internet, reviews, and calling each vendor to get a feel for how they responded to me and my views. This wedding was going to be a very organic yet elegant vegan wedding. My daughter had given me her vision and it was up to me to bring it to life.
After many over-the-phone interviews, the vendors we chose were the perfect fit, the perfect DREAM TEAM! They all knew I lived in Miami and my daughter's wedding was in Virginia, so this would be a little more challenging for all of us.
We booked the following vendors, and every vendor will get a 5-star review from us:
I flew to VA to accompany Madison and Nikko to visit all of them.
VENUE: The Hermitage Museum and Gardens, Norfolk, Heather couldn't have been more accommodating, she answered all of our questions, took all of our calls, and always had a smile on her face. The venue was EPIC, look at the pictures and you can tell me.
CATERING: Creative Catering, VA, Caitlin, and Cortnee, I began my journey with Caitlin, and this was the best experience as mentioned earlier this was a 100% vegan wedding, and Creative Catering delivered! We booked the tasting and OMG it was crazy good we left wanting more! The Chef met with us, explained everything, took notes, and delivered the best-tasting vegan food ever! Caitlin and Cortnee listened to us, and what we wanted, and made sure we got the full experience, and we did! We are all craving some more!
WEDDING PLANNER: E&E Design Company, Katie and Maegan, these two ladies are nothing short of AMAZING!
They knew I was in the wedding planning business, Katie and Maegan listened, let me run through all my ideas, and then enhanced my vision and made it happen. These two ladies met with me on the day of the wedding at 10:00 AM and did not end until midnight, both of them are such hard workers. Always happy, positive, and very helpful, they are AWESOME!
MUSIC: DJ Karizma, Christopher, this gentleman kept the party going! He made sure everyone was on time and track. Madison and Nikko had a phone conversation with Christopher, they went over the music selection and playlists. It was very successful because everyone at the wedding was dancing and raving about how good the music was! Even Heather from the Hermitage came up to me to tell me how good he was! Christopher is a great entertainer, funny, fun, and awesome DJ!
DESSERT: More Please LLC dba Cinnaholic, Marjorie, was awesome to work with. We met with her for the tasting and immediately knew we had the desserts covered! Cinnaholic is 100% vegan and extremely delicious. Marjorie was so patient with us that we wanted to try all the desserts. The desserts were a big hit, everyone kept going back for more!
ENTERTAINMENT: Big Top Entertainment, VA, Lindsay, I couldn't ask more. We went to the showroom twice and we were met with open arms. BTE worked with us each step of the way until the very last moment. The weather in VA is very unpredictable, so BTE waited until the last moment to help us with heathers and some last-minute changes. They are a great company to work with. Everything looked amazing.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Rilee Jackson Visuals LLC, Rilee, WOW! I was so impressed with her performance. Her work speaks for itself. Her ability to capture the beauty of the moment is everything. Honestly, I can't stop looking at the pictures, they are all EPIC! Rilee, you're such a nice and amazing person!
COFFEE BAR: Cure Coffee, Brooke, exceeded our expectations. 100% vegan coffee bar and the baristas were so nice and kind to all the guests. I loved them, I visited that coffee bar like it was going out of style and they always had my latte ready for me! What fun and success with the guests, it was DELICIOUS!
The fresh flowers and garlands I purchased from Costco and the Flower Market, and the fake flowers from Lings Moments. The Bouquets for the Bride and the three Bridesmaids I created.
This was Madison and Nikko's DREAM WEDDING, and it was all created with lots of love and support. IT WAS EPIC!

Worked with Kristen and Caitlin at CCVA and they were both great! We booked for the plated dinner service with a couple passed hors-d’oeuvres, 3 meal options as well as an open bar provided by us, with CCVA bartenders. The staff on the day of the wedding were fantastic, extremely efficient, and the food was definitely a hit! SO delicious! We definitely recommend CCVA. -

I recently had a birthday party for my mother-in-Law and I chose Creative Catering as the food vendor. I have nothing but high praises for Cortnee's professionalism from beginning to end. The food was absolutely amazing and the waitstaff was courteous, kind and attentive to the birthday girl and guests. The chef was very personable and was able to prepare and cook everything on site! He spoke with me personally to ensure I was satisfied with everything, and I was extremely grateful for the care and service we received. The coordinators walked me through the whole process from start to finish and provided suggestions at my request. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious! For any event in the future, they will be the first call I make.

Creative Catering was absolutely wonderful! We very much enjoyed the food and the staff was so professional. Our guests even told us that it was the best wedding food they've ever had and that they enjoyed it very much. They also complimented how professional the staff was and how amazing they were overall. We had a wonderful reception thanks to them and they even worked with us once we realized that our wedding day timeline was moving faster than anticipated and they did amazing to accommodate and adapt. I highly recommend them because the food and service was perfect!

When I began searching for a caterer, I quickly realized that they are all SO EXPENSIVE! And a few of the first caterers I came in contact with were slow to respond, not forthcoming with various fees, and did not have many food options. But that all changed when I spoke with Creative Catering of VA! Every single person I spoke with was so kind and explained all of the pricing and package options so that I felt like I understood exactly what the quote meant. When my fiancé and I went to our tasting we knew we had found our caterer. The food was delicious and we just knew our guests would love it. Everyone at our wedding was talking about how much they enjoyed their meal and the choices they had at the buffet. Creative Catering even went above and beyond to work with us to ensure my mother-in-law could have a gluten-free meal that would be delicious and safe for her to eat. The staff at the wedding took the time to point out to her all the options that were available to her and answered all of her questions graciously. I can't say enough good things about Creative Catering!
My husband and I are still talking about how delicious the meal was, and how we really need to find out what kind of bread rolls Creative Catering uses--they're that good!!! :) -

Delicious Food
Food; Perhaps the most exciting part of any wedding, especially when working with Creative Catering of Virginia. From our initial tasting at their marvelous center to the flawless execution of our plated wedding dinner, Creative Catering excels in all aspects of food preparation and presentation. As a couple that eats at many restaurants, we were beyond impressed by the very diverse selection of food and the quality of each dish. Creative Catering did not miss a beat in any regard during our wedding. Their bartenders and catering staff were top-notch and personable. At the end of the night they were worth every penny! We would highly recommend using Creative Catering of Virginia for your special day!

From the first phone call with Caitlin to the many emails and our tasting with Kristen, Creative Catering was a DREAM to work with on our big day! They were so organized and so attentive to detail and listened to every want that we had. Everyone at our wedding raved about the food and still continue to talk about how it was the best food they ever had at a wedding! The staff was phenomenal and checked on us throughout the entire night! During cocktail hour when we were taking pictures they brought us and our wedding party appetizers and brought my wife and I drinks, made sure we were checked on during dinner, and during the reception kept a drink in our hands the entire night (per our request)! The bartenders were also so much fun and our guests had no issues! If you're looking for the perfect catering team to host any event, they are the ones to book with! -

Our wedding was on 5/22/22 in Virginia Beach. Would highly recommend CCVA for catering needs! From the moment we were looking at hiring them, all the way up to the wedding day, staff were always available and willing to help and answer a million questions. On the day of our wedding, everything was amazing. The food, the staff, everything went super smooth and we had a lot of compliments from our guests! Thank you all for everything.

We had a great experience using CCoV. The planning process was simple and fun. Our wedding day went even better. The food was delicious and we even had a fun crostini station for our cocktail hour which was a huge hit. Everything was taken care of start to finish and we would recommend them to everyone! -

Dream accomplished
Clyde and I would recommend Creative Catering to EVERYONE for any Event Big or small. If you can Dream it Rev and Samantha will make it come True. From the moment I sat down with Rev to give my vision to the tasting when Samantha took over. To the day of our Wedding 09/11/2021 Rev and Samantha went above and beyond to make our guest feel special. All of our guest were blown away at the level of Customer Service Creative Catering gave. They made all of our guest feel like they were the most important people in the World. Clyde and I wanted our Guest to come and relax and enjoy, and Creative Catering made that happen. Our guest were not only given the most amazing Food but were waited on hand and foot. Thank you Rev and Samantha for making our day so very special. We could never repay Creative Catering for the whole experience they gave our Guest. My Mama lives in Italy and was able to attend the Wedding she said that she felt like she was back in Italy. First of all, they were incredible friendly from the first phone conversation I had with the rep from creative catering (Caitlin). She never tried to up-sell me on anything and was very honest about what I would actually need for my wedding. We only had about 70 guests so we really didn't need an extravagant amount of food/beverage packages/etc. and they were SO affordable (about $2000 less than all the other catering companies I had gotten quotes from). The tasting was amazing. I brought my parents with me and there was so much leftover food from the tasting, I brought home an entire extra meal for my fiance. Everything tasted amazing (even my dad who is a picky eater loved all of the options). On the wedding day, the staff was so friendly and professional. They were efficient in setting up, constantly asked the bridal party if we needed anything even BEFORE the ceremony, and offered to finish some of the set up from our decorations, like turning on all of the centerpiece lights and fairy lights we had set up around the venue before dinner. I got SO many compliments on the food and it was even better tasting than I had remembered. Seriously, if you want a worry-free day, hire these caterers ASAP! -

CCVA is amazing!!! The quality AND quantity of food was great. The staff and management is super friendly - AND supportive/understanding, especially during these crazy times of covid-19. All of our guests were pleased with our selections for the plated meal and appetizers (you can't go wrong with their filet mignon, salmon, or chicken saltimbocca). The event manager was also very responsive to our needs and any questions that came about. I highly recommend their services! -

Exceptional Service and Delicious Food 👌🏼
Very accommodating as we had to postpone our wedding 3 times due to COVID-19! Karen and Rev were the nicest people to work with and plan everything out! Their team was so attentive towards not just the bride and grooms needs but made all of our guests feel welcomed and satisfied! They wore masks and gloves to serve to abide by our restrictions!! All the food was terrific and got so many compliments throughout the night!! Loved having them as our caterer! -

Booking a caterer was one of the most daunting tasks of our wedding planning process until the moment I spoke to Karen from CCoV. She answered any and all questions that we had throughout the entire process, no matter how annoying the questions were. She made sure to go over everything with us with a fine tooth comb. She also made special accommodations for our guests with food allergies such as putting cheese on the side of all of the salads and making sure our vegan guests food was not compromised by any animal products. Not to mention that the food was cooked absolutely perfect!!! We had a special request for our steak dish to be cooked medium rare and not a single one was over cooked, which is a really hard thing to achieve when cooking in mass quantities. I HIGHLY recommend giving them a call and booking them! Thank you again for all of your hard work and making sure that our day was beautiful and tasty :) -

Creative Catering of Virginia provided the catering for my daughter’s wedding, and we are so happy that we chose them! From the first meeting with Karen, our CCVA contact, we began the wonderful experience of exploring all the different packages and menu selections that they offered. Karen was super organized and professional, and was very helpful in understanding our vision to find the perfect selections that we wanted, including vegan meals for our guests. The tasting was so elegant and so much fun, we felt like we were in a 5-star restaurant! Along the way, my daughter and Karen were frequently in contact to finalize every little detail. Any special request that we had was answered with “yes, we can do that!” The time for the wedding arrived, and everything was perfect! Delicious appetizers were served and the bartenders attended to the guests with friendly and pleasant smiles. The dinner of beef tenderloin and teriyaki salmon was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend Creative Catering for their wonderful service and delightful menu!! -

If you are a newly engaged couple and feeling overwhelmed, please call Karen at Creative Catering of Virginia as she was really impressive and made sure that the planning for food and beverages at our wedding was as smooth as it could be!! We used Creative Catering of Virginia for our wedding catering and bartending in October. We had gone to several tastings and events in order to find the perfect option for us. Karen at Creative Catering was by far the most professional and helpful person we met along the way! Not only did she help us design the perfect menu for our budget, she also helped with other things too. For example, she was able to give us our napkins ahead of time with the sparkly ring holders that we bought for the event. During the wedding, the staff of creative catering were extremely helpful! They butlered apps at cocktail hour and they made sure to visit us, the bride and groom, when we were posing for family portraits. They helped in every way they could. They helped with design work, they helped with set up, they help with breakdown, they helped with the bar when the bar line was too long. They were just wonderful to work with and we were very impressed at the level of service! Our head table never had an empty glass and I saw them making the rounds with wine to the other tables as well! I was so happy that we went with Creative Catering! My uncle, who eats at a lot of catered dinners for his business, said that this was the best catered food he had ever tried.
We can’t give enough positive feedback to Karen! She was absolutely fabulous! You will sleep well tonight after contacting Karen and locking down Creative Catering's staff for your wedding needs! -

Christina Sent on 04/13/2017First and foremost the food and service were excellent. We went through 3 different sales managers but ended up working with Jennifer and she was amazing. We booked with Alyssa who has since moved on but was so incredibly accommodating to my very specific requests. I work in catering sales so I was clear about what I wanted and what I didn't but I was also working within a budget which doesn't always allow for creativity. Lucky for me Alyssa and then Jennifer were excellent. The team handled the beer, wine, and champagne that we provided as well as maintaining all of the desserts we provided. On the day of we had Cindy leading the team and she was so kind and efficient. There was a teeny tiny minor bump with our pre-ceremony champagne (hey, it's a celebration!) but she quickly got it poured once I arrived and everyone had some. A great experience and a great value. Highly recommend! -

Their office is located inside of a small restaurant but don’t let that deceive you. At the tasting we got treated like we were in a 5 star restaurant. Then we got to critique and make requests for how we wanted our meal tweaked (we wanted the steak cooked a little more for our guests). I am here to tell you that even though they were preparing for many more people the food tasted just the way we wanted it to include the minor adjustments. They were flexible and accommodated what WE wanted to happen and how it happened at our reception (there are people out there that want to make it theirs). The wait staff was courteous and professional. The table service was prompt and none of our guests had any complaints. Our friends and family raved on the flavors. If you are planning any special event check them out. You can’t beat the price and still get the same quality! (believe me I looked) -

Heather Sent on 10/18/2011The food and staff were so wonderful. I waited until the 11th hour to find a caterer and I didn't imagine I would be able to find anyone as wonderful. The entire staff was helpful and professional. The food tasted fantastic. Everyone loved it.
Alan and Alysiah were our contact people the day of the wedding and they were so accomidating. I can't say enough wonderful things about them. :)
