The cake from Creative Cakes was great! We had a fun time trying all the options at our tasting, and the design was just what we described. It tasted great on our wedding day!

I would want to eat this cake everyday!!

Amazing amazing cake. We ordered a cake from them for our October 2021 wedding. Our top priority was a cake that was delicious, though I know they're very pro at decorating too. We went to a few cake tastings and were blown away by their flavors. In fact, each time we'd visit for a new consultation, we'd buy a ton of cupcakes to bring home to friends and family and drool over. We got a 3 tier cake with 2 tiers of almond cake with strawberry jam, and 1 tier of chocolate cake with a caramel mousse, all covered in vanilla buttercream frosting. The decorations were also exactly as we wanted (we did a very simple white scroll-work, but then put flowers and a homemade topper on top). I can't wait to eat our 1-year anniversary portion!!

Perfect Bite

Creative Cakes makes the most beautiful, most cakes in Maryland. For my wedding, I sent over a couple of pictures from pinterest of what I was interested in and Creative Cakes created the cake of my dreams. The cake was delicious and moist and the icing was not too sweet. Additionally, Creative Cakes delivered my cake to my wedding venue on a Sunday. This was my second time using Creative Cakes for a special event and I couldn't be more pleased.

An affordable, delicious, and beautiful choice for your DC-area wedding

I cannot recommend Creative Cakes enough! We attended their monthly open house last year and bought our cake on the spot. Not only were the cake samples delicious, but the cakes were *significantly* more affordable than ones we had tried elsewhere, AND included the sugar flower decorations within the overall price, rather than paying by the bloom (we had a light blue hydrangea theme). Randi was also flexible, allowing us to reschedule our cake to a later date once we had to postpone our original April wedding because of COVID. When it became clear that our August date would require a smaller guest list, she was able to scale down the cake size, and I will be able to use the rest of my original payment on a future cake. The almond cake with swiss frosting turned out beautifully, and was SO moist and delicious! I wish I had enough of an appetite to eat more of it on our wedding day....we did have enough to serve all the guests and have some frozen for our anniversary. Also, my parents actually used this company for their wedding, so it was nice to be able to continue the tradition. Randi was also very responsive and great to work with, and the delivery went off without a hitch.

Beautiful cakes and lots of flavor

Creative cakes delivers artistic and flavorful cakes. I would highly recommend this place for any special occasion including kid birthday parties. I ordered my wedding cake through here and all my expectations were met. The staff were very professional and responsive. I usually don’t like wedding cake flavors but this place was really good. I would recommend the almond flavor.

Incredible customer service and even better tasting cake

Highly recommend Creative Cakes. They had excellent customer service from the minute we walked in the door for their open house tasting. Our cake was an absolute dream come true in both flavor and presentation. They perfectly executed our vision for the cake based on several ideas. The black tie cake is probably the best cake I’ve ever had and I’m thrilled that we had it for our wedding.

Lots of compliments!

Working with Creative Cakes was a blast! My husband and I went to an open house a few months before our wedding and that made our selection process so easy. We enjoyed trying a little bit of every cake and frosting. When we sat down with the staff later on they did a great job designing a cake that fit our budget and guest list. We had looked through the binders of cake designs (there were tons to choose from) and the staff sketched out a design based on the cakes we liked most. The process was easy and the cake arrived for the reception without a hitch! We got lots of compliments from the guests on the cake. The cake was moist and the fruit (we went with lemon and raspberry fillings for different layers) was fresh and not overly sweet.

Awesome bakery!

Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! I highly recommend attending one of Creative Cake's open houses to taste all the flavors they have on offer and chat with them about designs: we even received a discount for paying upfront at one of their open houses events! Our guests all complimented the cake (almond cake with vanilla buttercream), and some even said it was the best wedding cake they'd ever tasted! I'll definitely be coming back here to get another (smaller) cake for our anniversary: yum!

Creative Cakes was a breeze to work with. We met them, discussed our options and the whole process was seamless. The cake was delivered and set up on our wedding day with no issues. You will appreciate not having to worry about this element of your wedding. The cake was simple (as we wanted) and delicious. The remaining cake was just as good a few days later.

My mom and I tasted 8 different bakeries before we fould Creative Cakes. It was hard to find a bakery that had both delicious cake AND icing. The cake is super moist and the icing is to die for! We picked the swiss icing. Will definitely be my go to bakery for all holidays, events, and birthday from now on! Has military discounts which was a plus!

This was an incredible experience from beginning to end. We had an emergency and due to living out of state we had 24 hours to arrange a tasting 2 months before the wedding. Not only did they easily and pleasantly accommodate us but the tasting was delicious! They worked hard to create a beautiful cake using swatches from the bridesmaid dresses to make a perfectly matching frosting and it was so incredibly gorgeous! When it was time to eat it, the cake was amazing. So moist and delicious and many of my guests had several pieces due to how much they loved it! Thank you Creative Cakes!!! Highly recommend using this vendor!

I cannot say enough good things about Randi and Creative Cakes. She was a pleasure to work with and it was easy to convey to her what we wanted in our four-tier wedding cake. She also was able to use a difficult Lladro cake topper that belonged to my husband's grandmother and was porcelain. I commend her for her flexibility with us. Additionally, once a month, Creative Cakes hosts a cake tasting that you may register for. It allows couples to taste all options and ask all of their questions! I highly recommend Creative Cakes to anyone getting married in the D.C. Area.

Creative Cakes made my 3 tiered wedding cake and we could not have been happier! They were very helpful setting up our own private tasting months ahead and we loved all of the cake we tried. For our wedding day they arrived on time to set up the cake and they did not disappoint. Everyone loved the cake! They were a wonderful company and we're very glad they created our wedding cake!

Our venue provided a dessert, but it wasn't cake. But what's a wedding without cake?! I struggled with what a good favor would be and settled on cupcakes. We had an open bar, and knowing our group, we knew that cupcakes at the end of the night would be much appreciated. So, we had cupcakes and a 2-tiered cake for pics. It was beautiful. The wedding party, my husband, and I tore apart that bottom tier after the ceremony. It was so good! We froze the top for our anniversary. Well, a year later, we ate it. You know, it was still really delicious. I wrapped it up very thoroughly, but it kept well in the freezer. The flavor still there. We actually spent our anniversary in NYC and had a cupcake from a renowned bakery. Our slightly freezer burned cake was actually better. I ended up having my birthday cake from here.

The cake was very delicious and enjoyed by all guest. It was not overlly sweet and it was not heavy on the frosting, which I truely enjoyed. I like how they were able to NOT use fondant. I am not a fan of fondant and they provided us with a gorgouse cake without using it. The details on the cake were stunning. Great job on the sugar flowers and sugar succulents.

The moment we walked into creative cakes for our appointment, we were greeted with a smile and sat down at a table to review cake options from many books. We were also given a great sampler dish to try a ton of different cake flavors. Creative cakes offered many different sized cakes, and were able to help us make the perfect cake suited to our favorite flavors. We went with a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling, and also an almond cake with a raspberry filling. Both cakes were delicious. Randi was extremely helpful in setting up all the details of our cakes, from little details like the base of our cake, to helping us fit our dream cake into our budget. We could not recommend Creative Cakes enough, they are great at what they do.

We had such a wonderful experience with Creative Cakes- they provided us with a great tasting and made sure we tried all of their wonderful flavors. The hardest part was narrowing down our selection! Randi listened to our ideas and helped us design a cake that matched our vision for a simple, elegant multi-tier cake. Each layer was a different flavor, and our guests enjoyed the variety. My husband and I selected Creative Cakes as our wedding cake vendor for our October 18, 2014 wedding, and we were extremely pleased with the way the cake looked and tasted. It was simply delicious and moist (almond cake with chocolate mousse covered in vanilla buttercream), and several of our guests commented to us on the delicious flavor. Creative Cakes was pleasant and flexible to work with, and we would recommend this bakery to our family and friends.

Our cake looked great and more importantly, tasted great too. My husband loves cookie cake and was very insistent on us having a cake with a layer of cookie in it. Randi from Creative Cakes was wonderful and was able to make the bottom layer of the bottom tier of our cake into delicious cookie cake. The cookie layer was delicious, the other layers were delicious, the whole cake was delicious. We were thrilled.

These guys were awesome! They made a one of a kind cake for us! When we saw it, it was everything we had asked for and more! We had a BEER themed wedding (judge all you want but it was very elegantally pulled off). Our cake looked like 3 beer stein mugs filled with beer on top of each other. They even had the foam coming out of the mugs all over the cake! It looked perfect and is totally magazine worthy!

Creative Cakes provided our wedding cake, and they were fabulous! We had the white chiffon cake with raspberry and white chocolate mousse filling and the vanilla swiss meringue icing. it was incredible. Often I find that wedding cakes taste dry and bland, but not this one! The decorations were beautiful as well. For the quality of cake, the prices were incredible.

You know how at most weddings no one eats cake--well, that was not the case with the cake that we ordered from Creative Cakes--and all our guest were like "wow, that cake was excellent!" The owner, Randi Goldman has been in the business for quite a while and she's a Master at her craft.

We went with Creative Cakes for our wedding cake through our hotel venue (Bethesda North Marriott) recommendation. We attended their open house for cake tasting earlier this year and really enjoyed meeting the staff and sampling many different types of cake. In fact, we were so impressed that we ended up selecting and designing our wedding cake that same day.

Everyone was very polite and helpful. We selected a couple different types of cake, their European icing, and a flowery design. A couple of weeks before our wedding they called to go over the cake to make sure that everything is correct. Our wedding guests had nothing but great things to say about the cake. We can't wait to have the cake topper a year from now! Overall, it was a great experience working with Creative Cakes and the cake was delicious!

The cake company that my hotel package had a contract with went out of business 4 weeks before my wedding! I went into panic mode and my hotel suggested i contact Creative Cakes in Silver Spring, MD. They were able to schedule a tasting the next day for me and my fiance. We had a great time at the tasting and they were able to accommodate us. Wedding day came and the cake was beautiful! They decorated it exactly as I had ordered it. It was delicious! so many guests came up to me at the reception to say how delicious the cake was and wanted to know where it came from! It's now been 3.5 weeks since the wedding and my co-workers are still talking about how delicious the cake was! Our cake was almond cake with a chocolate ganache filling. I can't wait for another occasion so i can order a cake from Creative Cakes!

What a great cake vendor! From the moment I walked into the business it was evident I would be well taken care of. From the selection of flavors, to the (almost) bewildering array of choices of fondant, frosting, decoration, special touches and everything in between, Creative Cakes made the whole process very easy and efficient. On the day of the reception, there was nothing I had to worry about, and the cake was easily the best I've ever had.

My wedding cake was delicious! OMG... There was not a slice left. Each layer was a different flavor. The designer was able to design our cake based on the picture I sent her. The cake was so good that we ordered a small cake to be ready when we returned from our honeymoon.

Creative Cakes was the contracted company for our venue, Navy Yard Catering & Conference Center. We brought a picture of a cake design we found online to our appointment and they created exactly what we wanted.They had many cake flavors to choose from, all of which were to die for! Our guest LOVED our cake and so did we! Very happy with CREATIVE CAKES!

Our wedding cake came as part of our package at The Tower Club so we only looked at Creative Cakes but there was no need to look elsewhere. Their cakes are beautiful and tasty! We very much enjoyed our tasting and decided on chocolate, butter Rum and vanilla. We received so many complements on how moist and delicious our wedding cake was and we even noticed a few people going back for seconds. We also loved how our cake looked, they did a beautiful lace design to go with my wedding dress and didn’t charge us too much more for it. We were very pleased with how our wedding cake both looked and tasted as well as the price.

I loved my cake! I had such a great experience with creative cakes! Our initial meeting I was unsure of what exactly I wanted in a Wedding cake. They were so friendly, kind and patient. Our wedding cake came with the package at the Tower Club. We went two of the tastings at their bakery in Silver Spring to decide on the flavor. We ended up going with the chocolate marble cake and it was DELICIOUS. Everyone was raving about it. People also said that our cake was so pretty they thought it was fake :) I highly recommend Creative Cakes.

We loved our experience with Creative Cakes. We came in with a very specific idea about the look of our wedding cake, and we weren't forced to take a different direction and our cake looked exactly the way we wanted. More importantly, it was delicious! We've been to plenty of weddings with dry cake and had the expectation that ours would turn out the same, but not with Creative Cakes!

The cake tasted fabulous and it looked fabulous too. They did a WONDERFUL job. They have a lot of choices. Considering that their cake was part of our catering package from the Hilton of Rockville, it still came out beautifully. Gorgeous cake. :)

Delicious, very responsive, helpful! They also designed the picture overlay for the grooms cake which was great! Their kitchen is very intimate and you really get the impression that they are working hard to make you happy for you wedding. The cake tasted great and we got lots of compliments on it. The worked with my purple and orange color palate and it looked great. I would definitely recommend then because of all the vendors I tasted, they were the best combination of artistry and taste. Great job!

They make a mean cake. Our wedding cake was a spice cake and it was delicious. The cake was fresh and beautiful. The decoration was top notch, and the sugar roses looked quite real. It was delivered on time and it was exactly as we described.

This vendor was great! I had very precise ideas on what I wanted as a wedding cake. I told them I wanted white buttercream with black designs and black pearls draped around it. While many friends had said "that sounds awful", this vendor happily said they would make it work, and it was BEAUTIFUL. The cake was not gothic, as you probably think, but amazing. We topped it with bright purple flowers--so cool. I had many people tell me it was the best cake they've ever tasted. The best part? It was free for me because it was included in my package with the venue! I definitely recommend them.

Creative Cakes made a beautiful and delicious almond cake with buttercream icing for my wedding. They worked with my husband and I to create a unique cake that fit our wedding theme. I was a little nervous at first about not having a choice in our bakery selection because our wedding venue provided us with a cake. I went with my fiance' to the open house and tried many different cakes, which was very helpful. However, we were under the impression we would order our cake at this time and that was not the case because it was extremely busy! We made another appointment, which was so wonderful! We sat down with my parents and had an idea of what we wanted because we attended the open house. We definitely received the attention we wanted and tried all the different flavors again! We walked out of the door excited and with almond cupcakes in hand!!! :) On our wedding day, not only did our wedding cake look gorgeous, but it also tasted amazing! We received so many compliments on how moist and flavorful the spice and almond cake was! We enjoyed the leftover cake for a couple days after the wedding! We are really looking forward to our 1 year anniversary to enjoy the rest of our delicious cake! I highly recommend Creative Cakes!!! :)

We selected Creative Cakes because of all the tastings we did they were clearly the best cake that we had tasted. They were also very flexible in that they allow you to do different flavors in each tier, which not all of the places we visited allowed. All of our guests said it was exceptional wedding cake and that showed since we had none left over! We also ordered our favors here which we did because they were affordable. I fully recommend Creative Cakes any cake.

After going to several different tastings, my daughter and her fiance selected Creative Cakes as the best tasting cake. We were very pleased with the taste (chocolate and lemon) as well as the design of the cake. We also bought our wedding favors there - white chocolate lollypops in the shape of a wedding cake. Cute, tasty and affordable. I'll definitely use them again.

They have monthly open houses, which made it so easy for my husband and I to taste all their cakes. The staff was attentive to my requests and matched colors from my invitations for details in the decorations perfectly! We got the pound cake with strawberries and double chocolate, and both were delicious!!

We loved our wedding cake from Creative Cakes! Our cake from Creative Cakes came as part of our reception venue package, and when we went for our tasting they didn't try to pressure us into choosing something that would go outside our budget. We tasted a variety, including some of the delux samples (delicious!) but we stuck with the "basics" and were so pleased with the result. They decorated it beautifully and it was delivered without a hitch. Such a great experience, I recommend them to anyone!

Our wedding cake was one thing that was spot on! We have no complaints. The cake was beautiful! They did an awesome job. They gave us EXACTLY what we asked for and it tasted exactly as it had the day of the tasting. There were no surprises here. Creative Cakes did an awesome job! The guests demolished the cake. We had to use Creative Cakes as part of our reception venue package. But we ended up being very impressed with them. Our cake was delicious and looked great. We went for the butter rum in the middle layer, and almond in the bottom and top layers, both with butter cream icing. Everyone raved that the cake was moist and delicious. The design was simple, as we wanted it - no fondant - just 3 layers of white butter cream frosting with soft purple accents. It looked and tasted great!

Creative Cakes is the vendor that is selected by the Tower Club and provides a cake free with your catering package. Not being able to personally chose the cake maker may make some brides nervous but TRUST that you are in good hands. Though we opted to add on extras that were not included in our package through the tower club, our final cake cost was surprisingly lower than most I've heard. We ordered the carrot cake with fondant with an edible drapping bow and it was both gorgeous and delicious. My husband and I rarely eat dessert so to truly love our wedding cake was unexpected for both of us. It's no surprise why this company has been around and successful for as long as they have!

A wedding cake from Creative Cakes was included in our reception package. We met with Creative Cakes to try all the flavors and they were all delicious. I definitely recommend the orange cake! They walked us through all the different designs and flavors we could order and what came with our package and what would cost extra. We opted for one of their standard designs and provided our own ribbon for the tiers. We also paid an extra $25 to have a monogram (the same monogram used on other pieces at the wedding) put on all four sides. The cake came out gorgeous and was exactly what we wanted!

My wedding cake was beautiful and the taste was beyond excellent!! The cake was delivered to the venue ontime and just as beautiful as I pictured it. The staff at Creative Cakes was very responsive to my needs and made great suggestions. Everyone at the reception loved the cake!!! They even made sure that we had a box to preserve the top tier and I am so glad they did because the cake was so good that their was not a crumb left by the end of the event. The highlight of my wedding! Our cake was GORGEOUS and tasted DELICIOUS! We had a four tier cake (round, square, round, square) with a fondant bow draped down the front. The round layers were tight lace and the square layers had a quilted pattern... absolutely stunning!! We chose their newest flavor, mandarin, and so many guests LOVED IT! Our top layer is lemon (it's what I really wanted) but we knew some people did not like lemon and went with something more unique... the lemon will be delicious a year from now Im sure! Rest easy with Creative Cakes... they are an A++++ business!!!!!!

We found our perfect wedding cake in a magazine; we showed it to Creative Cakes, and they created the exact cake from the picture; it was perfect! The cake was mainly included in our contract with the Catering & Conference Center at the Washington Navy Yard. We only had to pay a $150 ($1 per person) extra for the design we wanted. It looked gorgeous. It was exactly what I described, and they were able to get this through a phone conversation. We never met with them in person. And the best part was not only did it look great, and it tasted even better. I would definitely recommend them.

Creative Cakes was incredibly easy to work with and we ended up with a delicious cake. My husband, mom and I checked out the cakes and they send us home with a sample tasting box. We immediately went to Starbucks and tasted the samples. It was a stand out, unnanamous decision that the orange marmalade cake with buttercream icing was the winner.

It was delivered on time and with no issues. It was absolutely delicious and moist the night of the wedding (and the next day, too)!

We would definitely use Creative Cakes again.

Creative cakes did a fabulous job. Everyone commented on what a great-tasting cake it was (and my husband and I have tried our fair share of dry, tasteless wedding cakes). The company was accommodating, and would have tailored the cake in any manner we wanted, however we opted for a fairly straightforward design. They delivered the cake in perfect condition and on-time, so we really have no complaints whatsoever, and were completely pleased with our beautiful AND tasty masterpiece!

Great cake, wonderful flavor! But if you're going with them and your wedding is in DC, you should check out the Washington Marriott Hotel in downtown DC. These two have a contract and if you have your reception at the hotel often times the cake is included!! Great value!

The cake was delicious and beautiful, it was delivered on time, and they were able to accommodate our enormous guest list with sheet cakes as needed. I don't know what else to say. My husband and I both loved Creative Cakes -- aside from our photographer, they may have been our favorite vendor! Every time I go into the freezer, I ask him if he's sure he wants to wait for our first anniversary to eat the anniversary layer.

If that's not a ringing endorsement, I don't know what is!

The Hyatt provided us with a complimentary wedding cake from Creative Cakes. We attend one of their monthly tastings, chose our flavors and cake design and set up the delivery times. Because Creative Cakes is directly contracted with the Hyatt Regency Bethesda, we really didn't have to handle much of the logistics. Their cake was delicious and we were very pleased with out it turned out.

One of my favorite aspects about my wedding was my cake. My husband and I did not want to have a traditional cake, we decided we wanted to have a cake that represented us. Each layer of our cake was something we enjoyed...the bottom layer was a Louis Vuitton suitcase, another layer was a drum, etc. Creative Cakes did an AMAZING job. Every layer looked like it was the actual thing. Their craftsmanship is unbelievable, the cake tastes yummy, and the price was extremely reasonable. They can basically create anything you want!

We were looking for a cutting cake for our wedding - something pretty but not too expensive. Everywhere we looked had very high prices, so we were thrilled when we found Creative Cakes. Not only did our cake look beautiful, it also tasted great - and all for the best price we could find!

How often do you go to a wedding and half the guests ask for a second slice of cake? That is what happened during my wedding and our cake was from Creative Cakes. The three-tiered cake itself was included with our hotel contract, so we only had to choose the flavors, flower colors, and frosting design.

The cake flowers were gorgeous - they took a swatch of my bridesmaid dress color and matched the pink perfectly.

We ordered the Almond Cake with buttercream frosting and paid extra for a raspberry filling.

I told the hotel to "bag" the extra cake for me, and they delivered it to my hotel room that night and this was such a good idea! We enjoyed our wedding cake for the next few days!

We have the top layer in our freezer and it's taking all of my willpower not to take it out and eat it during the next year! This company gives you nice instructions for freezing your cake to eat it on your anniversary, too.

I would highly recommend this cake company - some flavors might be better than others, but overall, our cake was moist, beautiful, and absolutely delicious.

My wedding cake experience started out horribly but ended up wonderfully after we went to Creative Cakes. We first went to another cake place in the area and I told them my vision and they said no, no, no and we don't do it that way. It was a great sigh of relief when I walked into Creative Cakes and talked with one of the very nice ladies at the open house and she said she could do everything we wanted and that they worked with florists. I was even more happy with the finished product when it was done and at our wedding. It tasted wonderful, and I am so happy we picked Creative Cakes!

Randi was great to work with, not only she accommodated me to come in for a cake tasting based on my schedule but she was also very understanding and professional. The cake looked beautiful and she was able to match the colors on the cake to my wedding colors!

This vendor has a nice tradition of open house tasting sessions one day each month. We went to more than one of these sessions to try several variations and decide on our cake. We wanted a tasty pretty cake without breaking the bank, and got exactly what we requested. Our cake was simply elegant and very delicious. It garnered lots of attention and favorable comments. We got married on a warm September day. The cake was where we wanted it to be and exactly as we had requested. It's a funny thing because we trusted that everything would go smoothly and it absolutely did.
