Oh my gosh I can’t say enough for this cake!!! Creative Cakes was the cake shop that our venue has a partnership with. We had a tasting months before the big day and we could not be happier with how the cake looked and tasted. The cake to frosting ratio was perfect. The buttercream is out of this world! I asked for an extra serving of buttercream to go with my cake. Overall, the cake was a smash hit both in looks and in taste! -

After meeting with 2 other bakeries for a wedding cake, we decided to try Creative Cakes in Orange. Cheryll met with us and helped us go through a fun tasting of their numerous flavors of cake and frosting. There were many books to review for examples and after a successful and tasty meeting, we ordered the cake for 140 people. As promised the cake was ready and delivered to the venue on time. We received many compliments on how tasty the 4 different cake flavors were, and the cake was beautiful. Thank you Creative Cakes! -

So in love with Creative Cakes! We could not have had a more beautiful cake, and patient people after making 2 or 3 changes to the flavors and the look of the cake. They delivered in very hot weather, on time, and were so professional and nice to us every step of the way. AND they will provide a cake for our anniversary! Who does that ? You can't go wrong. Creative Cakes was contracted with my reception venue (The Villa by Villa Park Catering) and they didn't disappoint! My fiancee and I called to schedule our cake tasting which was actually really fun! Cheryll provided us with the different cake varieties along with various fillings and icings. We showed her a picture of a cake we found online decorated with trees and mountains (which was special to us because we got engaged in Big Bear during the winter) and she replicated it perfectly! On the night of our wedding, part of our cake ended up on my face but the part that ended up in my mouth was delicious (white cake with raspberry filling--so moist and flavorful!). Cheryll responded promptly to my emails and coordinated with our florist to add thistle to our cake. It was gorgeous! -

They made a mock up picture of what we described that we wanted, rented a lovely cake stand, and the cake tasted great! Wish I had some right now to eat. -

In 1989 we ordered our wedding cake from them and were extremely happy with our choice of chocolate cake with chocolate mouse. In 92' With our 2nd daughter's arrival we were given the same cake. Then in 2015 our 1st daughter got married we used them again. We didn't do a tasting because our daughter wanted the same cake. The cake was BEAUTIFUL! Same moist chocolate cake however we were dissapointed that they had changed it to white chocolate. It didn't taste the same. I put this on us since we did everything by phone. As you can see creative cakes has continuously made us happy through the years. I highly recommend them! -

After finding out a month before the wedding that our original vendor was going out of business our venue suggested we try Creative Cakes. We were a little nervous with some of the reviews we read. Our tasting went great and the cakes were moist and had tons of flavor. Not only would they do the cake flavor and filling we wanted they had several additional options the previous vendor did not have. The vendor going out of business was really a blessing. We got the cake we wanted along with additional upgrades for well under our budget and way less than our previous vendor wanted. Creative Cakes did a fantastic job and our guest loved the cake. Very thankful we get an anniversary cake since somehow we missed getting an actual piece minus what we did for the cake cutting. So happy with our experience. -

Our wedding cake was so delicious! We went to a couple of tastings here before our wedding day since they did not have the flavor I really wanted and ended up choosing when we went the first time. It was actually nice to have a 2nd tasting because the cake was just as delicious and soft as it was for our first tasting! I knew it was going to be delicious the day of our wedding! They were really helpful with offering suggestions and working with the base (we used a suitcase) and cake topper we had, as well as with arranging the 2 flavors we picked throughout the cake. I highly recommend them for any special event! -

I only had positive experiences with them. I went in and did a tasting and everything was so delicious from the start. I made my picks and gave them a photo of what I wanted. After a few weeks I decided to completely change my design and size of the cake. They were more than accommodating and my cake turned out perfect! I ended up choosing a very detailed pipping and was nervous about how it would look but it turned out beautiful and exactly as the photo I sent them. Not only was it pretty but it tasted delicious!! Unfortunately I only had one bite during my wedding but we kept the leftovers in the freezer and had some after our honeymoon, a couple of weeks later...It was still delicious! -

Creative Cakes was the vendor that was contracted to make our wedding cake through our venue, which was fine, since it was less work for us to do. The cake came out beautifully! They have a showroom with many different designs and styles, and I literally just pointed to one and said I wanted one just like it but round instead of square. I was already expecting that the actual cake might not look as good as the one in the showroom (since it's a showroom cake after all), but I was pleasantly surprised when the cake that was brought to our venue looked exactly, if not better, than the showroom cake. The cake was also delicious. We did alternating layers of red velvet with cream cheese frosting and white cake with strawberry mousse. I love their policy of giving out a free cake on our one year anniversary, which we will definitely be taking advantage of! -

creative cakes did such a beautiful job on my wedding cake. i got married at the french estate and the deal that creative cakes does with the estate is wonderful. the 4 layered cake was gorgeous and the inside flavors were amazing! we got carrot cake with cream cheese filling, marble cake with fudge filling and lemon cake with bavarian creme and raspberry filling - everything was so tasty! thank you for such a beautiful addition to our day!!! -

Our cake from Creative Cakes was SO GOOD! From the very beginning, we were very happy with the service. We only had the choice of 2 places from our venue (it was paid through the venue) and Creative Cakes far surpassed the other option. The cake tasting was excellent! The other location gave us a limited number of options that we had to pick (filling already in the cake), but when we went to Creative Cakes we had even more options and got to select the cake and filling separately - so we were able to try so many more variations. I'm not a big chocolate fan and we even got chocolate cake for half the cake (my hubby loves it), and I really liked it too. The cake was fluffy/yummy, and the filling was very tasty. They were way more flexible on designs than the other place as well so we were able to customize to what we wanted. We would definitely recommend Creative Cakes and will be going back for future cake needs! -

We loved our wedding cake! This was part of our package through Turnip Rose. The cake tasting process was very easy going and we were able to select what we wanted. The cake was so much more amazing than I ever could have imagined! I have had cakes from here plenty of times so I knew the cake would taste amazing and look great but it was so much better than I thought it would be. I got so many compliments on the simple yet awesome decor. I WILL be ordering my future kid's cakes here and any other caked needed for the rest of my life. The most beautiful cake we could have ever had for our wedding. It was so gorgeous we didn't even want to cut into it. From the beginning starting with picking out the flavors for the cake everyone was so helpful. I changed my mind about a month before the wedding on the design of the cake and they were so nice in accommodating my request. It was all white with a fondant flower all along the side. We had three flavors, red velvet, vanilla with white chocolate, and yellow with raspberry. Some of our guest even tried to get thirds to try to eat each flavor. The whole cake was simply delicious. -

My cake was decorated with flowers and was picture perfect. The cake had three different layers and flavors. The cake part was great, but I was a little disappointed with the icing it was too sweet. I would recommend Creative Cake, just make sure the icing is not to sweet. -

My motherinlaw bought us a top layer cake for our civil court ceremony a year ago and it was such an amazing little cake that I knew I would use for my actual wedding/reception this year! They did not disappoint! There was no pressure to buy during the tasting, they made the appointment so easy and carefree. They had us taste all the flavors and tell them what we would want and then told us to come back once we were ready to buy. My motherinlaw went back a few months later with our order and it was easy. They arrived on time and the cake looked and tasted amazing!!! A perk to this place, is that they will give you a small anniversary cake of our wedding cake a year after your wedding...just bring back your receipt...no need to save your top layer!!! AWESOME!!! -

We chose to go with Creative Cakes for a couple of reasons. They honored our appointment. We didn’t have to wait for a table, unlike at Cinderella Cakes (another place we were considering), where we had to wait awhile until a table was available for us. It felt more like a first come first serve kind of deal, rather than an appointment with Cinderella Cakes.
We also felt like Creative Cakes was a classier place. For their cake tasting, they had us sample 5-6 (each) of cakes, fillings and icings, and all of these were nicely placed on a rectangular glass plate. Unlike Cinderella Cakes where they gave us one paper plate with just a few samples on it. They really didn’t make much of an effort to get us to go with them.
For our wedding cake, we decided to just go with a simple 4 tier ivory cake. We didn’t want fondant icing all over the entire 4 tiers, but we did have them add some fondant draping on each tier. Since all of the icing wasn’t fondant, we thought the icing wouldn’t be very smooth, however on the day of our wedding, we were so impressed with how the cake came out. The icing was so smooth it looked like fondant! With the glass cylinder stands and fresh flowers our florist provided, our cake looked so beautiful! Many guests said our cake looked amazing, and they also said the cake was as delicious as it looked. Now we can’t wait for the anniversary cake they’ll be sending us…some of our friends already asked if they can have a piece!

Our cake was everything we asked for and more. It was beautiful. We designed the cake and yet in person I was still blown away. The execution was flawless and the cake was delicious. Guests asked for the vendors info. We are already talking about using Creative Cakes in the future. -

I had a cake included in my package with my hotel so I cannot say about the price, however the cake was great, and beautiful and easy to pick out and I had no worries. They were flexible with all my little requests and it was beyond my expectations. I cannot wait until 1 year anniversary to get my top tier remade! -

Wonderful cake!! When my (now) husband and I went in for our tasting, we got to sample about 8 different cakes and 8 different fillings - all of which were amazing! We had such a hard time deciding on what kind of cake we wanted. We decided to go with red velvet with cream cheese mousse for 2 layers and white cake with strawberry mousse for the other 2 layers - so good! The cake didn't look exactly how I pictured it to be, but it was still beautiful. I would highly recommend Rockwell's! -

Rockwell's has the most delicious cakes! I was about to choose another bakery (which was no good) until I found out my package included a cake from Rockwell's. We went to sample the cakes and we fell in love! Our cake had 5 tiers and all were so delicious! They also did the artwork by freehand on my cake and it turned out really nice. I would totally recommend Rockwell's to anyone looking for a cake! Cant wait to receive our top tier on our first wedding anniversary! -

We were married at the French Estate and the cake from Rockwell's was included in the package. We're hardcore fans of Rockwell's and order their cakes for EVERY occassion. They definitely did not disappoint! The cake arrived on time and it was GORGEOUS! It was EXACTLY what we pictured and the guests loooved the flavors. We saved the top tier since it's "tradition", but they DO make you a new cake for your one year anniversary so... how long that cake stays frozen is TBD hehe ;) -

I really liked the customer service here. And I was able to make any cake I wanted to. Everything tasted great. I was disappointed that they got some of the colors wrong on the cake. They made a layer white when it was supposed to be blue, and the same thing with the scrolls. And I knew they had all the information to make it correct because I reviewed that with them. Although the cake was pretty, if they had gotten the colors correct it would have stood out much more with our wedding colors. I was left feeling disappointed. And the cake was included in the price with our vendor, so I don't feel like their was much in terms of recovery I could have gotten from it. -

We had a custom cake made for our movie themed wedding and it turned out amazing. They worked with me on the design and it really made a big impact on the night and was a very special part of my big day. If you get married at the Newport Beach Marriott they include the cake and it's only a little extra to customize like I did but it was completely worth it! -

Rockwells made our wedding cake and it was DELICIOUS! We got good reviews from our guests as well...I've tasted a lot of wedding cake but our cake was SOOOOO YUMMY! The cakes were amazingly moist...one of my biggest fears was having dry, yucky cake served to all our guests...THAT DIDNT HAPPEN! The tier we cut into was a white cake with a bavarian cream and raspberry jam filling...and for the outside of the cake- we didn't choose the typical buttercream frosting...last minute I chose the white chocolate curl with whipped cream for the outside of our cake...big, white chocolate curls covered the tiers of the cake...and I have to tell you - I AM SO HAPPY with my last minute choice. Not only were the guests served a slice of cake, but everyone was given a chunk of the white chocolate curls with their cake. What was the icing on the cake? (no pun intended LOL) They didn't charge extra for the white chocolate curls/whipped cream, they didn't charge extra for the different flavors (we had a 4 tier wedding cake and had 4 different cakes and fillings for each tier!), and our wedding cake looked different and beautiful! Just gorgeous I had never seen a cake like ours at any wedding I've been too! In addition, Rockwells is giving us our 1 year anniversary cake for free! So no need to freeze that last tier! =) I will definitely think of Rockwells for my cake/sweets needs! -

I wanted to thank you for the amazing cake! We ordered 3 different flavors for each tier. The carrot cake was so moist and it was a huge hit! People who didn't like carrot cake loved it! Our wedding cake was excellent. We had a red velvet cake with a cream cheese frosting. The decor was exactly as we had planned and the price was very reasonable especially compared with other vendors in the area. We are very much looking forward to the FREE cake that they offer you on your one year anniversary as well. We had the cake top one month after the ceremony (after being frozen for that long) and it was just as good a month later as it was on the day of the wedding. I highly recommend this vendor for your cake needs. All of our guests loved our cake as well- admittedly- our florist helped decorate the cake with fresh flowers on the day of the ceremony but the total package was beautiful. -

went in for the cake tasting and they had very yummy cake samples. I forgot my photo inspiration so I told them I would email them later. I emailed a few pics. and then talked to somebody over the phone to discuss the pics. I was kind of vague and basically wanted them to creative something as long as it had a wave going up with. Well, I was absolutely amazed when I saw my cake. It was exactly what I wanted. I also did not have to pay a dime because it came with my turnip rose package. They delieverd on time and I could stare at that cake forever. They also provide you with a small anniversary cake on your one year anniversary, instead of freezing it. I am so impressed!! -

WOW! Great tasting, beautiful cakes! We had fun with the taste testing for the flavor and checking out their cake selection. If you have a design in mind, you just have to bring a picture. My cake was unbelievably adorable and tasty! I loved the varieties offered at Rockwell's. Their service was efficient and friendly and they made the whole experience of taste-testing so fun! My guests commented on the cake numerous times! -

Rockwells was great. They made fabulous tasting cakes that our guests kept commenting on and asking about. We get all of our cakes from Rockwell's. They were great during the tasting as well as with helping with our cake planning and advising us about the set up and other issues. they were helpful and made it so from start to finish we had no worries!!! I would reccommend them for any occasion -

The cake was had was delicious. We were able to put a different flavor on the top tier than the rest of the cake. We also customized the decorations and they were very generous with the cake tasting. We loved our cake. We also made a personalized cake topper with starfish to match the theme of our wedding. -

These guys were awesome! The cake was absolutely amazing and my guests said it was the best wedding cake they had tasted. Plus we get to go back on the month of our anniversary to get an additional cake to celebrate free of charge! -

We used Creative Cakes based on The Turnip Rose food tasting and WOW! The red velvet and marble layering was delicious and I dont even like cake. Of course my wife was impressed since she's a big fan of cakes but I was blown away. Their decorating ability was very nice and I made our own cake toppers and the creative cakes team did a great job incorporating the decor with the cake topper. Several guests mentioned how much they loved the cake and we could not be happier with their service and product. -

The cake was very very good. Our cake came included with our venue package so I was a little concern that it wasnt going to be that great but I was so wrong. I ended up eating 4 pieces of cake. The only issue is that the cake did not look exactly what we had dicussed in our first meeting but after tasting it you forgot all about how the cake looked. -

From the taste appointment to the delivery everything went really smooth. It's their business and they do it great. Our wedding cake not only looked good but taste even better. Most of our guests went for a second piece...at the end of the night we didn't have any left :) which is what you want.
Fresh strawberries gave the perfect touch...loved it!!! -

We were able to have our Mad Hatter/topsy turvey cake and still stay in budget! The helped us design the PERFECT cake to match our Alice in Wonderland theme and colors. They advised us to do buttercream frosting with fondany decor...and it worked out beautifully. They make delicious cake too! I've been caught making up excuses to order another cake!! :) -

The cake we got at Rockwells was really delicious! The cake was moist and very enjoyable. I've had many cakes in my lifetime and this was one of the best. They're great to work with. I would definitely recommend them.

Rockwell has wonderful cakes - it was hard to choose the style there were soo many!!! They also offer plenty of flavors and fillings so that everyone can be happy! We had 4 layers and 4 different cakes. Our guests were very pleased that they could choose a flavor! My husband was very pleased as well with his surprise groom cake that Rockwell helped me with...a Cubs baseball cap! YUMMY! -

We came in with 5 photos of cake styles we liked. They told us which ones would fit our budget and were we able to create the cake. It came out pretty good, we were happy with it. It tasted fantastic! -

I only tasted one bite during the wedding but it was very good and there were no complaints from anyone else. They were very easy to work with and they designed the cake just perfectly. We had to pay $2 per person because we wanted a stacked cake (they consider that an upgrade). That was strange to me but other than that the cake was beautiful and yummy and the service was great. I can't wait for our 1 year anniversary cake! -

Rockwell's was by far the tastiest cake we sampled. We went with a three layer cake with lemon with raspberry filling, redvelvet with cream cheese and a cappachino top tier. (They were the only place that didn't charge extra for different flavored tiers)
Another big plus was that they will give you a 1st year anniversary cake so that you don't have to freeze your top tier.
Overall, they were very responsive and friendly. The one thing we were a little disappointed in was the actual appearance of the cake. We gave them a picture of what we were looking for and the design was a bit more crude than what we were looking for. -
