Carol was absolutely wonderful to work with, and honestly she seems like one of coolest ladies ever! I had initially not really prioritized a cake as being all that important to me and therefore conducted little research and went in completely blind to my conversation with Carol. I described to her what we were looking for and was pleasantly surprised by her quote, as it came in below what we anticipated paying. I didn't feel the need to look any further because she was so pleasant and sweet! After our conversation, all of the sudden - I was excited about the cake! And as it turns out, it ended up being one of the elements I most loved about the wedding. I was only sad I couldn't have spent more time staring at its awesomeness. Luckily, we have pictures. I had a fall-themed wedding in the mountains, and a search on pinterest revealed cute aspen-themed wedding cakes that I shared with Carol. What she produced was even better than what I anticipated and saw on pinterest, with intricate green and gradually changing fall-colored leaves and an aspen tree background. Plus, it was so delicious!!! We love the whipped cream frosting. Everyone agreed it was such a creative, amazing cake. Thank you so much, Carol! I highly recommend working with her for your cake needs.

I enthusiastically recommend Carol. Our cake was DELICIOUS and beautiful. She was professional, responsive, and so warm and kind at our tasting. She also went out of her way to pick up greenery from my florist for the cake and created the perfect groom's cake for my husband. Apparently those are not common outside the Deep South (I'm from Georgia), but she was happy to create one with all my husband's favorite sport's team logos. We opted for red velvet for groom's cake, and a tiers of strawberry and vanilla with raspberry for the wedding cake. I can't decide which was best because they were all delicious!

Carol provided a top layer cake and various cupcakes per our request. She also includes a free mini cake at one year anniversary! The arrangement was beautiful and the cake/cupcakes delicious!

When my fiance and I first met with Carol to talk about a wedding cake, we didn't really have an idea of what kind of cake we wanted. Carol was so patient with us, and took the time to help us design the perfect cake for us. On our big day, we weren't disappointed - the cake was absolutely breathtaking, and was more beautiful than my husband and I could have imagined! And not only was it beautiful, but it was delicious too! We received so many compliments from our guests about it. Carol was wonderful to work with, and I would recommend her without hesitation to any couples looking for an amazing wedding cake.

The best wedding cake I have ever tasted and gorgeous to boot. Carol is a cake ninja master. I have been to weddings before where the cake is edible but not something to write home about - you could write a book about how good her cake tastes!

WOW! If you are looking for gorgeousness and deliciousness in a wedding cake, all at the same time - you have found the right baker! Carol was awesome with the planning and decision making process for our daughter's wedding cake. She chose a beautiful 4 tier cake, with offsetting textures and adorable buttons running down the front of all 4 tiers. All tiers were delicious; chocolate, vanilla with raspberry filling, german chocolate and strawberry! QUADRUPLE YUM! On top of the cake, she added a small silver airplane and coordinated some purple flowers with our florist! It was adorable and done in such good taste and complimented the theme of the wedding perfectly! You cannot go wrong with this lady!!! PS: Personality a huge plus!!

She took my vision of having a cake on every table and made it happen! Extremely affordable, fun to work with, creative, and energetic, Carol made beautiful and tasty cakes that were a hit! I would use her again in a second. Everyone raved about them and tried 4 or 5 different flavors because they were all so delicious!

I can not recommend Carol highly enough. All of her cake flavors were so tasty it was hard to choose. Carol was also very adaptable. My husband wanted a Yoda groom's cake at first. Carol said that it would be no problem. Then, he changed it to a regular shaped cake flavored like S'mores. This is not a flavor Carol offered, but she, again, said no problem. Our cake was very moist and delicious and we are still enjoying the leftovers two weeks later.

Carol created our wedding cake. It was absolutely delicious and beautiful! It was a stacked, four tiered cake with 3 flavors: double fudge chocolate, strawberry with strawberry filling, and white with raspberry filling. All of her fillings and cakes are made with fresh ingredients, and it makes all the difference! We received many compliments on how it was the best wedding cake people have ever tasted! We would highly recommend Carol's cakes for any occasion!

I love Carol and I love the wedding cake she created for my husband and me. It was breath taking and it tasted divine. We had a three layer cake with banana on top, German chocolate in the middle and vanilla with strawberries on the bottom.

I believe Carol has retired, but if she hasn't quickly call her and booked her today! She is the best by far in Colorado Springs

I went to visit 6 cake vendors the day I found Carol. Her cake was by far the most moist and tasty cake we had that day (and that is an accomplishment as by the time we tasted hers, we were all very sick of cake). She was very reasonably priced (and provided a military discount!) and she was always available for contact. My cake turned out beautifully simple (which is what I wanted). She also has very unique cake flavors. We are excited for our 1 year anniversary so we can finally eat the top layer flavored “banana pudding”!

Our wedding cake that Carol made was amazing! We had plenty of cake for our guests, and we had none left over after the reception. We had five different flavors, and they were all so good!

Carol is the best! I contacted her after attending a friend's wedding where Carol had made the cake. Carol was so easy to work with, and made everything to our specifications. Her cake is SO delicious. We had four flavors, and many of our guests went back for multiple pieces because it was so good. The cake was beautifully decorated and displayed, and Carol took care of everything for us. We could not be happier!

They were INCREDIBLE!!!! The cake turned out perfectly. I couldn't have been more pleased with what they did with the cake. At the last minute, I brought in two items to be placed on the cake and they did it with no problem and made the items fit in perfectly.
I also had Creative Cakes by Carol do the Groom's Cake. My husband flies Blackhawk helicopters and they made a helicopter for him. I sent Carol some pictures of the Blackhawks and my husband was so impressed with just how close they got to the Blackhawk. The only problem was they had him hanging out the wrong side of the Helicopter, but that was my fault not theirs. They did an absolutely incredible job! The Groom's Cake was the hit of the reception especially with all the other military men who were at the wedding.
Thanks Carol! Highly recommended for any wedding!

Carol brought out fresh samples of cake for the kids and I to taste. We ended up on a sugar rush that day but the kids enjoyed her friendly, fun nature. She made the price affordeable and she also personally designed my cake. She never made a cake like ours before so she commented on how excited she was to get started on it.

Carol provided our wedding with the best cake I have ever tasted. In fact, it was so good, we had none left but the top tier for us! her customer service and flexibility was unmatched. She worked with us on our price, making it fit our budget splendidly. We had a three tier cake with a fudgey chocolate on the bottom, a strawberry filled middle, and a carrot on top. People were going back for seconds! She was so accomodating and puts such love into her cakes. By far the best money we spent on our wedding. The Granillo's will never forget her!

Carol is fantastic! The cake was delicious and beautiful and exactly what we asked for. We had a ton leftover since we had far fewer guests attend than we originally planned and she gave us extra boxes to take it home in for no extra charge! We had a sheet cake in the back to supplement the fancy cake which was a HUGE cost saver! Carol is fun to work with and great at responding to e-mails in a timely manner. Ours was one of the tastiest wedding cakes I have ever had. We did three flavors (chocolate, red velvet, and lemon) and every flavor was a hit. Our guests all really enjoyed and many reported that they went back to try a little of every type. We will be going back to cakes for birthdays!

The cake was delicious! I had a four tier cake, each layer was a different flavor. The flavor was so good, and not even close to the traditional white. They have a variety of flavors with creams and fruit flavors in the middle.
I took a picture of a cake that i found on the internet that I liked in to the shop, they made the cake look almost just like that one. It was so pretty!

I would highly recommend this vendor. The service was personal, friendly, and reliable. The cake tasted great, including the frosting. The owners were excited with our unusual design requests. I also felt I received the value for the price. We received so many compliments on our cake!

If you are looking for a wonderful vendor, you have found it! I cannot say enough about Carol from Creative Cakes. From the moment we walked into her shop, she was friendly, engaging, and made us feel more excited than ever to be getting married. We had a hard time finding a cake that was both beautiful and tasty. Our florist had a picture of a cake that was gorgeous and I asked who the baker was. She referred me to Carol. After our first tasting, we were sold. The cake was amazing and incredibly beautiful. Unlike some bakers, Creative Cakes does not freeze the cakes and the frosting is fresh. I loved the smooth look of fondant, but I didnt like the pasty taste. Carol was able to give us the smooth perfect look with a butter cream frosting. Creative Cakes is definitely the best cake vendor we found in the Colorado Springs area, and working with Carol was such a pleasure!

Carol and her team made us an absolute beautiful cake. When I walked into the consultation with Carol, I knew that I wanted a fairy tale wedding cake. And she presented me with an amazing idea for decoration. We ended up getitng a beautiful 3-tiered cake in which there was a road going up the side of the cake with a glass horse and carriage at the bottom. At the top of the cake was a beautiful glass blown castle (Manitou Glass Blowers). It turned out to be absolutely gorgeous. The taste of the cake was extraordinary, each layer was different. We decided on chocolate, lemon and red velvet. Our guests were in love after eating Carol's cake. She was such a delight to work with and if I could do it over again; I couldn't imagine anyone else to have done our wedding cake. Thanks Carol!

The cake tasted moist and perfect! The decoration overall was exactly what I had asked form, the ribbon I sent never made it on my cake (I assume this might be because they had just moved locations), and the pink was not as bright as I would have liked. However it was delicious, and gorgeous.

We waited until the last minute to book the cake and I was a bit nervous as to how it would turn out. Turns out I had NO need to be nervous. It was EXACTLY how I wanted it to look ( I was very particular that I wanted it VERY simple) and tasted amazing. My only regret is that I didnt get to eat more )=
Our guests gobbled up every last slice of the chocolate and strawberry flavors- I was so sad I didnt get to have any. My bday was a week after the wedding though and my mom went to Carol and she made me a bday cake with the two flavors I didnt get to try at the wedding. It was SO delicious. Best wedding cake I have ever tasted.

I first found them at a bridal expo, tried their carrot cake, and other cakes. They were amazing. I chose the carrot cake. I went in to talk to Carol, and brought with me a photo of something similar to what I wanted, told her the changes. We filled out the order form, I brought in all my own flowers, and cake topper. I had an idea of what it was going to look like, however, on my wedding day the cake was way more beautiful than I could imagine! Their team is phenomenal! Way worth the money!

First off, my family and I probably went to 7 different cake tastings and by far Carol's are the best tasting. However you must know that she uses whipped cream as frosting if you don't ask for buttercream (we did). We are a buttercream family and her buttercream was delicious... probably the best cakes I've ever had in my life!! For about $300 + $65 delivery fee I got seven single layer 8" cakes that were the centerpieces on each table (all different flavors) plus one two-tier, two-layer cake (6x8). We requested that each cake have pretty basic, but different designs on each with different colors and they turned out perfect. Trying to communicate out of state was definitely difficult, and Carol was not very responsive to (and misunderstood) email communications. However when I got up there a few days before the wedding I sat down with her in person to go over the finer details and everything was much more clear. There was also an issue where one of her employees gave us a very low quote (as you can see) so I could tell she was not thrilled that she had to make 8 cakes for only $300. Considering everything though, I would definitely use her again because she had the best looking and best tasting cakes I've ever had.

Carol did a good job with our wedding and promised to give us a new cake for our 1 year anniversary. We called and made arrangements to pick up the cake on the Saturday before our anniversary. They did not mention what time to pick it up so we got to the store at 3pm. It turned out that they were only open from 10am to noon. My husband then went down to the store on Thursday after not hearing anything from them. Carol then told my husband that the cake was thrown away on Monday. She told him that he should have picked it up then. My husband said that we were there to pick up the cake on Saturday but we did not know the hours of operation and arrived late. Carol then argued with my husband stating that someone told him the hours of operation and it was his fault that the cake was thrown away. Carol continued to yell at my husband while my husband remained calm. My husband then stated that we would inform people of her lack of customer service. To this she replied by calling my husband an "A**hole" . Beware of doing business with Carol especially after she has your money.
