Wedding photographers are arguably the *most important* vendor of your wedding. Why? They keep you on time throughout the day, corral your family and friends and they take your pictures! It is literally how you re-live the day. When hiring a photography team, you HAVE to make sure they understand your vision.
Kat and Mike understood the assignment. We thought our engagement photos were beautiful (THEY ARE) so I didn’t think it was possible to top that shoot. Holy hell was I wrong. We are blown away by how absolutely stunning our wedding photos are. I’ve looked at them at least once a day since we got our sneak peek back. The angles, the lighting, the vibe, everything about them is just so on point. We could not be happier!
Kat and Mike are artistic geniuses.. and they’re really freakin fun!! They are like old friends - the kind you love catching up with and the kind who are not afraid to kick out your wedding crashers without you even asking.

Kat & Mike were crucial to my wedding reception and made the day go by effortlessly. They had excellent communication and positive attitudes.
They really prioritized my husband and my requests for specific photographs and edited them beautifully. My location wasn't particularly noteworthy, but the photos they took elevated the scenery and overall look of the reception. They were artistically and elegantly done, and I really couldn't be happier with the results. Would highly recommend them for any and all photography needs! -

Our wedding was the best day of our lives (so far), and Created Coastal Photography not only captured it beautifully, but was also instrumental in how amazing the day went.
Kat and Mike bring a professional, friendly, and easy to work with energy wherever they are. Whether you are meeting with them to go over your big day, or on the big day itself, shortly after spending time with them they will feel like old friends you can be yourself with. Which is monumental in getting beautiful pictures.
They have a great eye for detail, they keep the fun going, and if you do hit a bit of a bump in the road on the day, these two won't bat an eye and figure out a way to make the best of the situation. No dress tear is too large, no fire alarm is too loud, Kat and Mike will find and capture the beauty and life of every moment in your day.
Their work truly shines in their photos, our wedding gallery is filled with beautiful portraits, candid fun times, and the moments we thought we missed that we are so happy to have a piece of forever.

creative costal photography was a absolute dream. kat and mike understood our vision and went above and beyond. my husband and i tell everyone and anyone about how incredible of a team these two were. they were very quick to respond before, during and after our time working with them. they took notes at every meeting and followed up with summaries, schedules, and answers to any questions we had. they sent us a detailed questionnaire that answered all of our questions and then some! most of all they were flexible with us. we changed locations, timelines, venues and kat and mike didnt miss a beat. they are worth every dollar! every single photo was pure magic and we will cherish them forever. bonus: they kept our families in check and our family adored them both and have been raving about their efficiency and the art they created for our wedding. CHOOSE creative coastal photography. it's worth it, we would choose them a million times over and over. -

Five stars simply aren't enough. Photography was the first thing we booked for our wedding, as it was the most important thing to me, and now I cannot find the words to say how happy we are. Our photos are absolute perfection. I keep reliving how magical the day was through our beautiful photos.
Kat and Mike are kind, and fun, and comforting, and they effortlessly run the show. They helped us find our vibe (wanting to create a dreamy, enchanted vibe in industrial downtown Pawtucket is no easy feat). And quite frankly, if they want to be best friends with us, we're in. Additionally, their prices are so incredibly reasonable. They are such a tremendous value, and they will take such good care of you.
I'm not sure what to else say - I've never been so happy with a vendor before in my life. -

I truly cannot say enough good things about Kat & Mike—they were an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. As a duo, they brought the perfect balance of professionalism, creativity, and calm to our wedding day. Not only did they capture STUNNING photos, but they were also instrumental in keeping us on schedule and making the day run smoothly. Kat even helped fix my bustle when it came undone—talk about going above and beyond!
When timing got tight and we had to pivot from our original plan, they were incredibly flexible and reassuring. Their presence was such a source of calm amidst the whirlwind of the day, and they made everyone feel comfortable and cared for.
They were super efficient with family and wedding party portraits (which everyone appreciated!), and then brought so much creativity and direction to our bride and groom shots. They guided us through poses and helped us get the perfect candid moments we were hoping for—photos that truly feel like us.

Best photographers for a New England wedding
We cannot say enough good things about Kat and Mike. We found the Created Coastal team through another New England couple who worked with Kat and Mike to capture their wedding. From the moment we saw their work, we were blown away by the raw emotion and authentic beauty captured. We connected quickly and comfortably on FaceTime and knew they would cover our day with care and professionalism and love at the center.
Our day ran so smoothly thanks to their close coordination with our other vendors. On top of capturing the tiny details that we’d otherwise overlook, Kat even did meditative breathing with the bride to calm some anxiety before the aisle, and Mike helped with bow tie prep!
We’ve just received our sneak peeks, just 11 days after our wedding, and we are absolutely blown away by the photos. We are ecstatic and grateful to have their work memorialize our wedding forever, and we cannot wait to share their photos with future generations in our family. -

Kat and Mike are absolutely incredible! From our very first call, they went above and beyond to help me plan out my wedding day, offering advice, suggestions, and reassurance every step of the way. Their professionalism and warmth instantly made me feel at ease, and by the time the big day arrived, it felt like having two friends by my side. Throughout the day, they seamlessly captured every moment (big and small) without ever making it feel forced or posed. They have such a gift for finding the perfect light, angles, and emotions in each shot.

Best photography team ever!!
Kat and Mike are the absolute best!!! We first hired them for our engagement photos and we instantly knew that we needed them for our wedding too. They made us feel so comfortable the entire time and made us feel like friends, yet stayed completely professional all at once. Throughout the wedding process, they helped with many questions, gave great recommendations and helped with a wedding day timeline. On our wedding day, they always made sure we were feeling ok and always checked in to see if we needed anything. After our first set of photos in the wind, Kat even helped curl my hair so that it was perfect for the ceremony. They really do do it all!! I cannot say enough incredible things about this couple and their photography. We are BEYOND thrilled with our photos. Kat and Mike were the best photography team we could have imagined. Between the two of them, they were able to capture every single moment from our wedding. Every shot was beautiful, artistic, and captured the magic. The first look at our photos made us both cry at how amazing they were! Not to mention that they are kind, caring individuals who took care of everything we could possibly need throughout the day, from posing us to handing us tissues to having safety pins handy.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Created Coastal Photography. Kat and Mike were an exceptional pair to work with: professional, knowledgeable, thoughtful, warm, proactive, and expert at their craft. Arriving on-site for our first look, I was a bundle of nerves. Kat's gentle leadership in keeping tabs on me, my partner, our families, and wedding party in that moment and throughout the night was incredibly helpful. She and Mike captured a number of special moments throughout the day for my partner, myself, and our loved ones. They coordinated with our other vendors and stepped in as needed to keep the evening flowing smoothly. They went above and beyond. On top of that, the quality of their work speaks for itself. I will be the first to tell you that I've never felt photogenic. Despite that, I feel so beautiful beside my loved ones in the organic moments they captured, and the images reflect the love and magic we felt throughout the day. When thinking about the logistics of the wedding, working with Created Coastal Photography was without a doubt one of the best decisions we made. I'll add that as a queer couple, one of whom is non-binary, we felt respected, safe, and at ease throughout our entire experience with Kat and Mike. I hope to work with them again in the future! -

Kat and Mike are incredible. Having known both of them for a long time, we knew as soon as we got engaged we needed to lock them in. Our first meeting with them was not only so much fun but insanely productive. At that meeting, Kat walked us through the entire wedding day, taking the initial timeline the venue provided and revamping it to make the most of our time, setting, and photo potential. Mike lended his expertise and together we determined when and where the best content could be created and produced on the day of our wedding. I had no idea then how helpful it would be to have this timeline so far in advance throughout the wedding planning process, but now I realize how lucky we were to have had this information upfront.
On the day of the wedding, Kat and Mike were literal heroes. Arriving early and getting right to work, I was so relaxed knowing they had everything under control. And I mean, EVERYTHING. Without a wedding party, my husband and I truly felt as though Mike and Kat fulfilled those roles and then some! It was Mike who ensured the groom was dressed, on time, and where he needed to be. It was Kat who ran back to the airbnb 10 minutes before the ceremony to grab the extra shirt for the groom due to an unforeseen seagull attack. It was also Kat who stopped me from walking down the aisle without the bouquet I forgot in the bridal suite. And yes, it was Kat who bustled, rebustled, and even invented new bustling techniques throughout the night when the original bustle wouldn’t hold to allow me to spend the night dancing on the sand.
Both Kat and Mike worked tirelessly all day and night, seamlessly getting all the shots, while mingling with the guests, coordinating with the venue, and never letting a single detail go awry. To top it off, we received over 200 sneak peek images a mere FOUR DAYS after the wedding. Though we had considered Kat and Mike two of our dearest pals before the wedding, we are forever grateful for EVERYTHING they did to make our wedding day truly perfect. We love, admire, and wholeheartedly support these insanely talented, tremendously organized, remarkably chill, and ultimately professional human beings. -

Kat and Mike were truly exceptional! From the start, they were the ones that kept our wedding day moving along so smoothly, handling last-minute changes due to the weather with both guidance and calmness.
They perfectly embraced the intimate vibe of our day and provided guidance whenever we needed it. They made us super comfortable and at ease throughout the whole process from our first chats to the actual wedding day.
Their professionalism and attention to detail ensured that every moment, big and small, was beautifully captured. The photos are all stunning, our walls are covered with pictures already.

Kat and Mike did such a phenomenal job capturing our dream engagement shoot. We really liked meeting Kat over FaceTime, which added a personal touch compared the the couple other consultations we had. We knew that Created Coastal would be the right fit after our first call and reviewing example portfolios. The look and feel of the photos is exactly what we were looking for with this shoot, and let me tell you, they absolutely did not disappoint. Being this was our first time ever taking professional photos, we didn’t know what to expect and wondered how they would be able to capture natural looking photos of us doing meaningful activities around the places we enjoy most. Kat provided plenty of thoughts and recommendations during initial calls and texts which got our imagination going, but never pressured us in one direction or the other which we appreciated! Kat and Mike were very easily to get along with which made the shoot fun, and that’s what made for some fantastic photos. They know how to get creative with their art and we couldn’t be happier with how the preview photos came out, which was way more than we expected. Can’t wait for the full album! Highly recommend hiring Kat and Mike for any type of shoot! -

Memories catch and to hold onto
Created Coastal is made by artists! The texture, the lighting, the creative angles, and candid moments were caught at our wedding.
Through the whole process Kat was more than a vendor but a resource for two years. We had her booked so long ago and as we got closer and closer to the wedding date she was there every step of the way.
On the day, she was more prepared than even my bridesmaids. She had scissors for the sand caught in my dress, she had tissues for the tears of happiness that fell, and also structure (for those family members who needed it haha).
I can’t recommend anyone more for photos and hope I can work again with them to capture more memories as we build our family in the future -

We used Created Coastal Photography for our elopement in August of 2024 and they went above and beyond every step of the way. From sending us some of their portfolio so we could narrow down our location (we picked Ft. Wetherill State Park), to finalizing details as our event got closer, to helping us walk through everything day-of, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Kat and Mike are both so kind, so fun, and PHENOMENAL photographers. They make such a great team, put us at ease, and we had no problem relaxing and being in the moment because of their guidance. And our photos are absolutely breathtaking!! We've gotten so many comments on our photography that we may make the drive to Rhode Island from Philly any time we need any type of photos in the future.
Cannot comment enough on how wonderful they are. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I can't say enough good things about Mike and Kat. I feel truly so lucky to have had the opportunity to have them by our sides the day of our wedding- more than just photographers! It is clear that they are so passionate about what they do and they put so much thought into every detail- from planning to execution and follow up. I'll never forget the in-between times during our photos where Kat was here there and EVERYWHERE- bobby-pinning my moms hair, fixing my husbands boutonniere or organizing our bridesmaids florals and making everything look picture perfect. They're truly a one-of-a-kind duo. If you are looking for a wedding photographer that prioritizes comfort, fun and authenticity- you found them. Obsessed!!!
Kat and Mike blew us away. They shot our welcome party and wedding and not only were they fun to work with, but they kept us organized and stress free throughout the entire weekend. Kat was prepared for any scenario and saved the day on multiple occasions. She kept me at ease when I was feeling incredibly anxious. Huge fan of their work and them as human beings as well. They sent sneak peeks and BTS shots really quickly following our event that had me in tears. Grateful for them forever. 10/10 will never stop recommending!! -

Let’s face it, if you’re reading this then you’re likely in the throws of engagement or wedding planning so we’ll keep this short and sweet. If Kat and Mike are available for your big day, BOOK THEM. Within all the chaos of planning and on the wedding day itself, they are a calming presence and always helped ground us back to living in and enjoying the moment. If you can, book Kat and Mike for your engagement shoot and wedding day. They took all the nerves out of our engagement shoot and encouraged us to be fun and silly in front of the camera which led to amazing shots. On our wedding day, Kat and Mike rolled with all the punches alongside us and kept the day completely on track for us. They are a power couple and a dynamic duo. During our wedding, Kat and Mike were EVERYWHERE and captured everything. Working with them is like having a best friend with nothing but your best interest at heart. Kat and Mike are the perfect balance between professional and fun, and both feature an incredible eye for photography. -

Highly recommend Kat & Mike for your wedding photos (or any photo shoot for that matter!) When we started wedding planning we knew that we wanted the right photographer for the day. After looking at several photographers and their portfolios we loved what we saw from Kat and Mike at Created Coastal. What we didn’t know was how much more they would contribute to the wedding. Our first in person meeting with them it was obvious that they knew what they were doing. They laid out a schedule of the entire day so we knew what to expect on such a hectic day. They also offered suggestions that we wouldn’t have thought of on our own. I don’t think we could have expected them to be at great as they were on our wedding day though…Kat is on top of literally everything, when leaving the house with the bride & bridesmaids… everything I was asking for was either already in the bag, in the limo or in her pocket. Mike left to meet with the guys at the venue to get some photos in early so we could spend more time with the guests at cocktail hour. He got several great photos of all the guys both individually and as a group. He was even able to sneak some of of the gro -

Best Dynamic Duo Ever!
Working with Kat and Mike was the best decision we made for our wedding day. They were so kind, sweet, and flexible from the first message we sent them requesting information about their services all the way till the day we received our photos back. The response time and professionalism was 10/10. We had regular check-ins with Kat leading up to the wedding where she helped us develop the best timeline that would accommodate all the photos that were a priority for us to get. They went above and beyond to make sure our photos were perfect even to the point of meeting up in person at the venue a few months prior to the wedding so that we could know exactly where our photos would take place.
The day of the wedding Mike and Kat captured all the love and happiness of the day and it all reflects on the photos that look absolutely magical. Mike and Kat were the most perfect team capturing every part of the wedding in photos. Kat spent most of the day with me and it felt like walking around with a friend telling me how to pose and hyping me up. Kat fixed my dress and touched up my hair to make sure I felt and looked beautiful. I could go on all day talking about the amazing people both Kat and Mike are! I am so glad to have found them and I hope to be able to continue working with them in the future for more family photos and every special moment in our lives.

Kat and Mike are exceptional to work with! They are extremely sociable, professional and talented. My husband and I hired them to shoot our wedding reception - we eloped in Northern Ireland and had a small reception a month later to celebrate with friends and family.
Kat and Mike were very communicative throughout the entire process. We met for drinks a couple of months before the reception to go over the details and logistics. We surprised our guests with a short wedding ceremony at the beginning of our reception, and Kat and Mike captured the moment perfectly! They stayed through the rest of the party, and were so much fun. Several of our guests commented on how much they loved Kat and Mike!
Following the party they provided a large sneak peak gallery within a couple of days, and proceeded to keep us updated via their instagram story of their editing list. Their transparency is greatly appreciated!
Their work speaks for itself. They are able to capture raw emotion in beautifully framed shots. We love their natural editing style. I feel transported back to that magical night every time I look through the pictures!
We actually are in the process of planning another shoot with them and are so excited to see how our future pictures turn out! -

Working with Kat and Mike was a pleasure from the start. After we contacted them, they scheduled a phone call to get a sense of who we are and what we were looking for in wedding photographers. Before the wedding itself, we got together at a bar to have a casual conversation and get to know more about each other, which made it more comfortable having them as a part of our wedding.
On our wedding day itself, they were great about staying in contact with us and communicating what was happening and when. They arrived in the bridal suite on time to take some getting ready photos and detail shots. The two of them divided and conquered in this environment and were able to get all the photos needed before we started the first look and family photos in a short time frame.
We then went to Roger Williams Park to take photos before the wedding. They were great in this environment, despite several other photo shoots happening there and were great at finding the right spots to take our photos amongst all the activity--it looks like we are the only ones there!
Once we got to the venue, they were able to take some additional photos of us, the couple, before the ceremony started and then take wonderful photos of the ceremony, start of the reception, and a few more group shots.
We hired them for their elopement/small wedding package, which is only four hours, but they weren't watching the clock and spent the time with us to make sure we had all the photos we wanted.
Whenever something needed to be rescheduled, like our initial phone call, they reached out in a timely fashion and made it clear that they would be flexible if we couldn't accomodate a new time.
After working with them, it's obvious that Kat and Mike love what they do and want you to have a great time while getting great photos. They know how to bring out sweet moments through impromptu "games" that create more candid looking photos, as well as capturing formal portraits. They had great ideas for our venue, a vintage bowling alley, as well as incorporating ideas we had for our photos. We would definitely recommend them. -

Stop Searching!
Kat photographed my family and I for a Fall session. We have a young baby who was on the move and fussy at times during our session. She made it a breeze. We were SO happy with the results and couldn't believe how many good shots she got. The vibe of the photos is spot on with what I was hoping for. It was also SUPER windy outside which our baby wasn't sure about and she directed us to spots along the beach which kept us out of the breeze and protected. The shoot felt really effortless for us. We've had professional photos taken before by other photographers, and it has been tiring in the past and posing so much can feel awkward. Kat not only kept it light and easy, but also provided suggestions when we needed help. It really felt like zero work for us which was awesome. It was sort of like hanging out with a friend while they took amazing photos of you. ;) The editing of the photos was prompt, and delivery/download was easy peazy. Cannot recommend enough. If you've been searching, just stop and go with Kat & Mike (created coastal)! -

Can not recommend them enough!!
Choosing Kat & Mike as our wedding photographers was probably the easiest decision that we made during the whole planning process. After finding them through the internet I absolutely loved the style of their photos & didn’t even contact another photographer.
Meeting up with them was seamless and felt like we were having a beer with friends we’ve had forever & immediately felt like we made the best decision possible.
They met up with us again for a venue walk through to make our plan which was another layer of reassurance that they genuinely care about making your day great.
The day of the wedding deserves a whole other layer of 5 stars because Kat & Mike were above and beyond exceptional. They were so professional and made us feel so comfortable (as incredibly awkward as we are)
We had a hefty request of getting a photo of all of our guests in one photo and they were standing on chairs and moving furniture to make it work. We had multiple guests come up to us to say how impressed they were with Kat and Mike and how lucky we were to find them. Their natural eye for beautiful photos is only a small part of what makes them so great.
Its just over a month later, we’ve already gotten our photos (so fast!!) & I really am still so in awe of them and can’t stop gushing. -

Kat and Mike are amazing at what they do! They did our engagement shoot, and the pictures came out better then I could've ever imagined!! They made us feel comfortable during the shoot, and the poses were creative and photographed so well. The edits made the pictures look so magical while still be natural and not "too edited". Kat and Mike really were the greatest gift we received for our wedding! Kat kept everything moving and on time while still delivering some of the most beautiful photos I’ve ever seen! I can not recommend them more, they were always on time and more than willing to help with other things going on that day! I am writing this review as a warning to not work with Created Coastal Photography. You will see that people post reviews (upon Kat's request) after they receive their "sneak peak" photos, which is what we did in May 2024 after our wedding. However, it has now been over 7 months since our wedding and we have not received our final album or wedding video that we paid $5500 for (plus tip on wedding day). We originally signed a 6 hour contract with Kat and Mike a year prior to our wedding but a few months prior decided to add two more hours. When we got a new contract, Kat told us they made some “updates” and that we could sign the newest version. We did not realize that they had changed the contracted turn around time from 90 to 200 days without explicitly discussing this with us. We were very patient after the wedding, reaching out about once a month for an update, with Kat telling us they were working on it. Finally after several months, Kat revealed that there were software and personal issues delaying the final product. Again we were patient, reaching out every month or so for updates and asking when we should expect the final product. We were met with excuses but never any apologies or specific anticipated delivery date. After the 200 days went by with no estimated delivery date being provided to us (as was detailed in the contract to be provided in the case of delays), we asked for financial compensation for the breach in contract or the raw photos as we waited for the album. We have not heard from Kat and Mike for weeks despite us reaching out via text and email. We fear they have no intention of getting us our final product. Furthermore, I know other newlyweds who are in this situation who are still waiting for their albums as well. Potential clients beware.
