Professional, Flexible, Amazing-- brought my wedding together
Monica Haleh with Create Events was hands down amazing. We originally hired her to be a day-of coordinator, but ended up hiring her as a planner when COVID changed our wedding plans and we decided to host something small in my parents backyard instead of at a big venue with everything included. There were a TON of details to work out, including things like where to stage the ceremony (and reception), as well as bathrooms, chairs, tables, decorations, catering, bar, servers, basically EVERYTHING... plus figuring out how to take COVID precautions and help us and our guests feel as safe as possible with the gathering. Monica was not only professional and responsive but also incredibly knowledgeable and had a connection for everything. She is pretty much single-handedly responsible for not only bringing our special day together but also making it downright magical. -

Create Events are the wedding planners that go the extra mile!
Hiring a wedding planner is a must for your wedding and we are so happy we hired Monica and Create Events for our destination wedding! There is so much going on and you want to enjoy the day verses being stressed out about everything going right! I know many people hire day of wedding planners but I highly encourage hiring Create Events for full wedding planning. At first I thought this was for the hands off bride but really quite the opposite. Monica sat down a number of times with my husband and I and discussed our vision for our wedding. She made my Pinterest board come to life. Also since we met with her in person my husband came to the meetings and was part of the planning process. If I had done it all on my own there's no way he would have sat down for hours looking at pictures and working with all the vendors.
Since we had a destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas we had our family and friends around us the entire weekend. She took care of everything from making sure the restaurant was ready for our rehearsal dinner, our welcome bags delivered and that everything ran smoothly the day of. Without Monica and Morgan I could not have just sat back and relaxed, but knowing they knew what I wanted I truly was able to enjoy the day and weekend with all our friends and family.
They truly are the best and made our wedding day and weekend so special! Thank you Create Events! -

Monica, Brittany, and the rest of Create Events are honestly such great wedding planners- I would hire them any time! I only used them as 'day-of' coordinators, but they went far and beyond just the day-of. I planned my wedding from Chicago (wedding was in Carlsbad, CA), so it was quite stressful but I had most of my vendors already chosen. I just knew I needed help the day of because we had 250 guests and two locations. Monica and Brittany met with me two different times when I traveled to Carlsbad to meet with our venues/florists etc. Each time they were very professional and always on top of everything. Between then, I asked for advice on certain wedding decor and ideas and Monica responded very quickly and gave great advice.
The day of our wedding Brittany was very efficient and so calm while directing everyone! She had 3 others with her due to our large group and multiple locations (ceremony and reception were at different venues). They all came very early to make sure all of our vendors were setting up at the proper time. They also kept checking up on me to make sure I was not stressing throughout the process and to trust them and let them take care of everything. Our bridesmaids and groomsmen actually commented how great they were directing everyone and making sure everything ran smoothly. Imagine 250 guests at one venue for the ceremony. Trolleys transporting everyone to the second location for the cocktail hour/reception. That's a lot to handle with all the small decor that needed to be transported and set-up between as well. And trust me... My large family is crazy and loud. So trying to handle everyone is probably a headache in itself.
Long story short... Hire them. You won't be disappointed! They're so great- honestly.

This review is so long overdue, but Monica and her team at Create Events are so worth the mention! I can't imagine our day without Monica and her fabulous team! We worked with Monica as our month-of coordinator, but felt like she was still with us for every step in the planning process long before that. She was so responsive and easy to work with, and really helped outline the process for us to stay organized for the big day. On the day of the wedding, she and her team handled EVERYTHING flawlessly. They helped decorate the cake with the florals left by my florist (and it looked INCREDIBLE), made sure everything was perfect, and even ran out to buy an extra case of white wine for us when it ran out (hazards of stocking the bar yourself). As a bride, I felt so at ease the entire day and never once felt like something was missing or that something wasn't being handled. To this day, my mom still talks about what an amazing asset Monica was to our wedding and planning process. Monica and her team made sure we had the most perfect day (and we did!), and I would highly recommend her to ANYONE looking for a planner/coordinator! <3 -

Monica and her team were absolutely incredible! I was nervous to leave every little detail on the day of to a wedding planning company, but it was truly the best money I could have ever spent. They showed up early, were extremely organized, and continued to make me feel calm and reassured throughout the entire day. I loved how my husband and I would get updates through her assistants, and we were never left in the dark. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for the best service, while also not breaking the bank! -

Monica from Create Events was our amazing day-of coordinator for our June wedding and hiring her was one of the best decisions we made. As part of our contract with our wedding venue, my husband and I had to hire a professional coordinator. Initially, we weren't pleased about additional expenses and finding another vendor. However, once we met Monica and saw how professional and friendly she was and learned how much she did, we knew we had to hire her. Monica described her role as more of month-of coordination, but she did even more than that. She was available for all my questions and any advice I needed leading up to the wedding. She also helped me get organized and develop day-of timelines and make sure I had every detail covered. Throughout it all she was my advocate with vendors and the location, making sure what we wanted was most important. The day of the wedding, Monica and her team were on site hours early to make sure everything was in order and to be of help in any way they could. I felt such relief knowing she was there. She handled every problem and details I messed up on, like when my heel broke or when I forgot to include children's meals for the reception. Monica and her team solved every issue quickly and quietly, with smiles on their faces. I had nothing to worry about. At the end of the evening, they had all my DIY elements, the cake, and gifts/cards packed up to help family members that were taking them. Monica's team really went above and beyond. On top of all their amazing work, Create Events' prices are so competitive; hiring her was really the easiest decision we made during wedding planning. I respect and appreciate Monica's philosophy that she wants to be every couple to be able to afford coordination services. Not only does Monica work incredibly hard, she makes it look effortless, she is always smiling, she is professional, and she is friendly and kind. She is the kind of person my husband and I wanted there on our happy wedding day. -

Monica and her team we’re AMAZING! We had the wedding day of our dreams. Her support throughout the entire planning process cannot be beat. She was always one step ahead of us and taking a lot of the tedious legwork on herself. I am a very laid back bride and my husband, Mr. Groom, is more so. Monica took our style, our budget and made wonderful suggestions. She would give us her opinion when we asked or didn’t have one our selves, which was very helpful too!
The day of, we cannot commend Monica and her team enough. We did not have to worry about a thing. They we’re busy making sure the entire day was perfect. They also did an amazing job staying one step ahead of our enthusiastic guests and we cannot thank them enough. A bride should not plan a wedding without a planner. More importantly, no one should ever plan a party with Monica & Create Events!

Monica and her team at Create Events were tremendous handling our wedding planning. There was not a time where we had any stress, they took amazing care of everything and everyone. They coordinated the vendors, the guests, the bride and groom gift exchanges, the photographers, video Grapher, etc.. Additionally, they were so knowledgeable and had great recommendations for ways to cut costs, lists of vendors and venues. Can't say enough great things about them, they were invaluable to the success of our wedding and would recommend them to anyone.

Monica and her team are truly the best! Monica absolutely made the wedding planning process as stress free as possible. We are so blessed to have had her as our wedding planner. Everything was beautiful and we received countless compliments on our ceremony and reception, which my wife and I credit completely to Monica and her team. Monica is a consummate professional and we genuinely felt that she always had our best interests in mind. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in need of a wedding planner, and if I had to rate her from 1 to 10...I would give her a 20. She always made herself available to us and exceeded all of our expectations. She understood our vision and executed every aspect of our wedding flawlessly. I was the best man in my friend’s wedding over the weekend and let me tell you, I wish I could go back! It was so fantastic that my girlfriend said she wants to hire the same wedding planner… Create Events.
Throughout the day the team was on point. Two of the ladies checked on us before photos began. They also got us on the limo bus to where the ceremony was being held and made sure the bridal party was very well taken care of. Meanwhile one of the coordinators stayed with the bride and groom to do their photos and make sure everything went according to plan.
When we arrived at the Thursday Club (ceremony location) there were two coordinators taking care of all the setup. It looked amazing and when the bride walked into the ceremony site she actually cried and said, “Oh my God! It’s so beautiful!” I know this was something she and the groom were worried about because at the rehearsal they mentioned that they wanted all the red draping covered in white. Both the bride and groom were so happy to see how it turned out! I really thought Monica and her team couldn't out do the ceremony but then we got to the reception and wow! BEST PARTY EVER!
The reception area was really decked out! They had a sushi station (which I ate a lot of), an Italian station and a meat carving station. All the food was awesome, the setup of everything looked great and the timing was perfect. We did our entrance, had dinner and got the party started. The bride and groom were so happy with everything. I don’t think I’ve ever heard so many people say, “What an amazing wedding!” “Best wedding ever!” etc.
Honestly, when I get married I’m hiring this team. They could pull off anything you want and my wife is going to be stoked. A happy wife means a happy life. -

I contacted Create Events as they were on the preferred vendor list for our venue. I met Monica for an initial consultation where we went over how I envisioned our wedding. She asked me a number of questions regarding the details, what was important to me, and spent over an hour giving me tips and answering all the questions that I had. I knew from how organized and knowledgeable she was (has been doing their for 10+ years), that she would be amazing, and AMAZING she was! I booked Create Events for our Day of Coordination. I cannot say enough great things about Monica, from her responsiveness, to her attention to detail, I felt we were in great hands come the day of our wedding. Monica and her team arrived on the day of our wedding and got down to business right away! I found out later on that our lighting vendor didn't show up until an hour before the ceremony, and I had no idea! Monica was seamless and very relaxed, I wouldn't have known something was wrong. All of my vendors raved about what an informative coordinator she was. My mom and sister were also very grateful for Monica on the day of as various things came up and Monica handled everything! I had so many DIYs that I wanted setup for the reception and her team pulled off every aspect just how I envisioned! Monica was the best investment we made for our big day! Worth EVERY penny! Our wedding ran on schedule the entire night, which was important as I only hired the photographers for a certain time, but wanted them to capture certain aspects before they left. I HIGHLY recommend Create Events, they are the reason we do not have any "horror" stories from our wedding day! -

Monica came highly recommended to us through a trustworthy friend of mine, and the minute my wife Danielle and I met her, I knew we made a great decision. She had a very welcoming and enthusiastic personality, and she found a way to sustain it throughout the entire wedding process without once being overwhelming.
As a guy, I didn't care nearly as much about some of the intricate details as Danielle did, so what I found as rewarding as anything was how at ease Danielle was with the help of Monica. Not to mention, I wasn't quite aware of all that goes into weddings until we actually started planning so I can't really imagine going through this without help.
There were definitely a few things that stood out to me about Monica. First, she had a great way of asking questions to help us realize in a short amount of time what we wanted. At the same time, she still found a way to add her nice touch on things with her attention to detail and suggestions. The best part about her suggestions was how confident she seemed with all of them, thus making me feel like it had to be a great idea. The main thing though, Monica bent over backwards to accommodate for everything we needed, and I am truly thankful for that. It was because of her hard work, selflessness, patience and expertise that we could have the beautiful wedding Danielle had always envisioned.

I love Monica from Create Events!! She was the best wedding planner I could have ever asked for! My husband and I were married at a private estate in La Jolla on August 25, 2012. Although our venue was gorgeous, we had to bring everything in from outside vendors. I knew it would be a lot of work so I started looking for a wedding planner. At first, it was hard to find someone I connected with but after meeting Monica I knew she was the one. I immediately booked her to be my wedding planner and am so thankful I did! She helped me book all our vendors, design the ceremony and reception and brought everything I wanted to life. She made me feel at ease during the planning process and on the day of my wedding I was able to enjoy it to the fullest. My husband David and I are so happy that we chose to go with Monica and her team. She is great, her staff is great and they made my wedding PHENOMENAL!! If you want to enjoy your wedding and not worry about a thing I highly suggest hiring Create Events!!

My husband Matt and I hired Create Events for month of coordination and they were amazing! Monica went above and beyond with everything we asked for. She went out of her way to refer me to other fantastic vendors and didn't even charge us extra. She was timely, professional and very fun to work with. Even though I had not hired her for more than month of, she always gave me her input and helped me with any questions I had. She was extremely knowledgable and made it so I could enjoy my wedding! I didn't have worry about a single thing.
During the actually month before my wedding, Monica met with me several times. She came to our venue and made sure everything on the diagram was laid out correctly. She created our timeline and answered all the logistic questions Matt and I had. For the ceremony rehearsal, she stayed as long as we needed her and even ran through it a couple times so that everyone knew what they were doing.
On the day of the wedding she brought two assistants even though we had only contracted for one extra person. She set out all our DIY decor, including our candy buffet, and made sure that everything was in place. She directed our ceremony and made me feel completely confident that everything would run smoothly. She made sure the limo was waiting at the correct location for us once the ceremony was over and lined us up for our grand entrance with the DJ. She even made sure the DJ had all the phonetics of my bridal party correct. During the reception, she moved up the bouquet and garter toss so we could get all the important photos taken before our photographer had to leave. Her and both of her assistants did an incredible job. Monica and her team could not have made my wedding day more special and I will never be able to thank them enough for all the hard work they put in! -

Monica and her team did an amazing job for Our wedding at the San Diego Museum of Art, everything went smoothly and there were really professional. I couldn't have done it without her help. She was there when I needed her. She communicated and covered every detail of our wedding. The Museum was really strick about everything, Monica stepped in and smooth the process. Thank you Monica. -

Hiring Monica as our Full Service wedding coordinator was the best decision my husband and I made throughout our entire wedding planning process!!! She is the BEST! Monica made our wedding day absolutely perfect and truly everything we dreamed of! We honestly could not have had such a successful event without her. She went above and beyond our expectations.
Throughout the planning process, I was extremely indecisive and she helped me transform my visions into reality. She transformed my parents backyard into the romantic/vintage/shabby chic theme I had always envisioned it being and brought together every single vendor we desired to make our wedding day everything is was, perfect! It felt so amazing to have someone handle every aspect of planning our wedding. Her responsive, professionalism, personality and quality of the service she provides is everything you could ever want/need/desire in a wedding coordinator.

I was a last minute bride and booked Monica three weeks before my wedding! Even though my wedding was all at one location and I had a personally relationship with all but one of my vendors I realized I was going to need someone to cover the events of the day and make sure nothing fell through the cracks. Even though I was only supposed to have one coordinator for a few hours Monica came with a team and stayed until the end. She was a life saver and nothing could replace the peace of mind we had knowing someone was watching over our special day. -

Monica was the day of coordinator for us in July in Del Mar and she and her team did a great job on our wedding. She was there the day before to prep, came early the day of with her two assistants, and made sure our wedding was executed to perfection. Two small issues came up (as they always do) and she handled them quickly and without incident.
We are so very glad that she was our day-of. She made sure everything was set up, and when it wasn't, she did it or had it finished. Everything went better than expected and it was one of the best days of our life.
The last thing you want to do is stress out or have to make decisions on the day of your wedding. That is what she is there for. So, I highly suggest hiring her! -

I honestly cannot say enough about how happy I was with Monica and her team as our day-of coordinator. They did an absolutely incredible job!! They set up the reception room just how we wanted it and were able to keep the flow of our reception going even though our DJ was trying to drag things out. She was always willing to help us out with anything during the planning process even though she was only our day-of coordinator. I really can't imagine the day without Monica and her team. Although I was very hesitant about paying more than I wanted to (mind you, I was hoping to pay like $300 for a day-of coordinator), it was worth every single cent!!! I am beyond happy with my decision to go with Monica!! -

Hiring Create Events was the best decision I made throughout the planning process! After about four months of planning on my own, I was completely overwhelmed. At that point, I hired Monica and was in need of some expert advice. She went above and beyond anything I would ever expect. She referred vendors that fit our requests, needs and personalities and did everything else imaginable. Her eye for design excited me and made me enthusiastic about every detail. If there was one thing I regret it is not hiring Create Events from the very beginning!
Monica and her team are fantastic! On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly and if there was anything that went wrong neither I or my guests would have ever known. The team was always timely, efficient and professional. They took care of me and my husband, our guests and all the vendors. To this day, I still hear what an amazing and fun wedding we had. I cannot thank Monica and Create Events enough for making our day so wonderful. -

From the moment I met Monica, I loved her vibrant personality. She was reassuring as you know us brides can get overwhelmed. It was nice to feel at ease as she walked through all the details and timeline of how things would work out. After all, I have never been married before so I was filled with anxiety and excitement!

Monica was a pleasure to work with! She was very detail oriented and responsive for the planning and coordination of my best friends wedding. As maid of honor, I was very involved in the planing process and Monica was there for everything we needed. I hired Monica for the Day of Coordinator. As plans began to be final I would include her on them. I asked for her opinion about the line up and she gave me her input. I sent her emails as to what was going to happen . Anything going on I made sure she knew it.
After the ceremony the guests were to be escorted off the lawn and up to the 3rd floor to the cocktail hour. Monica or her 2 assistants were no where to be found. My guests were standing there not really knowing what to do. I the Mother of the Bride, had to start walking them across the lawn. Luckily one of the hotel ushers were there to continue it.
My daughter had off site pictures after the ceremony/ before reception time. They were to be back by 6:15, Monica or one of her (2) assistants should have been there at curb side to usher them to holding area to make the grand entrance. My daughter had to call me and ask what do we do.
She was put in charge to do the DIY of a candy station. It took her assistants 2 1/2 hrs to complete it. They never replenished the See’s candy as instructed. That was in the instructions. I also witnessed myself them eating the candy. I was told by others who were working the wedding set up time, that Monica and her 2 assistants were in a room all talking about classes and college stuff. I also didn’t have a gift table at the wedding ceremony , Monica should have communicated that to the hotel events coordinator and had one put up. Instead the water station was a make shift gift table. My daughter asked her to help put her train up for her gown before the grand entrance and Monica said she didn’t know how to do it or even pin a boutonniere to one of the groomsmen. Very disappointed in the l service I received from Create Events. I would like all my money back because I believe that Create Events was useless. And this is coming from 3 different people. -
