Covenant Pictures was incredibly easy to work with from start to finish. They offer some of the best value we found, without the premium pricing you often see with wedding photographers. The team was professional, punctual, and worked very hard to capture every special moment.
We especially appreciated that they provided all the raw photos and videos, giving us the flexibility to choose our favorites for editing. When we had to reschedule due to a snowstorm, they were extremely understanding and accommodated the change without any additional fees, which meant a lot to us.
Highly recommend Covenant Pictures for anyone looking for quality, affordability, and a great experience! -

We got the complete package with photo, video, and even a Photo Booth. Melvin was amazing and the company portal was very helpful. One of my favorite things were the drone footage and having a second photographer to capture everything. They were accommodating with requests and listened to us. Me and my husband are both photographers so we had high standards and they made us so happy with the results. My friends even used them for their wedding after seeing my photos! -

From the first email I sent them, I knew Covenant Pictures was the right choice. I had so many questions and very little idea what I was doing, and they were so patient and kind from the beginning. Every two weeks, they checked in with helpful advice, timeline planning tips, and just really thoughtful messages that made me feel calm and cared for. On the wedding day, they showed up early, smiling and prepared, and immediately made me feel at ease. They helped direct everyone so gracefully—never pushy, just encouraging and kind. I looked around during the ceremony and reception and realized they were everywhere, catching every hug, laugh, and tear. My family kept saying how much they loved the photographers and how easy they were to talk to. And somehow, they had our full gallery ready just over a week later. I opened it during our honeymoon and cried all over again. I’ll never forget how they made me feel. I’ll recommend them forever. -

I never thought I’d cry over an email, but when Covenant Pictures sent our full wedding gallery just 12 days after the ceremony, I couldn’t stop the happy tears. These photos captured our day in a way that felt deeply personal, emotional, and true to us. But let me back up—throughout the entire planning process, they were consistently supportive and incredibly communicative. Their bi-weekly emails weren’t generic—they felt tailored to me, filled with checklists, helpful reminders, and personal notes. When the big day came, they moved like a stealthy, joyful crew—capturing everything from my dad’s reaction when he saw me in my dress, to the tiny flower girl meltdown (which turned into one of my favorite shots!). I have to start by saying that Melvin was an excellent photographer during our engagement shoot and our wedding. We got married in Texas May 2024 and received our photos AND videos by August (that was an extremely fast turnaround time!). I'm going to talk about our experience during the engagement shoot, wedding, and post wedding!
During our engagement shoot - I already told Melvin that my husband and I were not photogenic people and are very awkward in posing for photos. Melvin KNEW just exactly what words to say and the placement of our hands and feet and our bodies to make the photos look seamless. The shoot itself was so much FUN. It felt like Melvin became our friend and we were just all hanging out to take a bunch of cute and romantic photos. I rate his engagement and professionalism a solid 10/10.
The Wedding - I commend Melvin for his flexibility. He was able to meet in person with me to calm me down and make sure we both agree on the timeline and shots to be taken. Melvin came up with a timeline that I had to review and give back to him. Melvin was ON TIME and had managed to become our wedding planner almost because of how well he knew how to work weddings and how stressful it is. Because we worked out everything in advance, we actually had enough time to capture lots of photos prior to the ceremony. I have to say this - MELVIN, our guests LOVED you! They appreciate how you would come up to them and take their photos. Months later after I show them our photos they often say HOW nice you were to them and how great you were with ensuring you captured everything. Our Entourage wouldn't stop talking about you! One of my bridesmaids even used your "tickle each other" for the candid pic tip on her best friend's wedding day because their photographer didn't know anything about engaging his photo subjects!
Post Wedding - as part of our package, Melvin printed out two canvas prints of our wedding photos and a wedding album. He got the date wrong on the wedding album so after I reached out to him, he sent out another album for free (as he should! lol).
Overall, Melvin and his team of 2-3 other photographers on our wedding day were amazing and extremely well-loved and appreciated by our guests! Our entourage appreciated your sassiness too! Again 10/10 for your dedication and knowledge! thank you so very much!! -

Melvin and his team are just AMAZING to work with! My fiancé and I took engagement photos with Melvin, I took my bridal portraits with Melvin, and he was there on our wedding for photography and videography! Every step of the way, Melvin was very professional, caring, and flexible with TIME, which I greatly appreciated! Melvin was wonderful with the whole communication process, he even took some phone calls happening late in the evening and always responded to my texts quickly. Melvin will take GREAT care of all your details, he makes the actual photo sessions feel comfortable and suggests lots of poses! Made it easy and fun!!

Melvin was a dream to work with! We booked him for our wedding and engagement shoot; both were at The Springs Cypress location. I love his light, bright, and airy style and think it's perfect for the chateau! He's easy to talk to, instructs you how to pose, and made taking photos fun and easy. He boosts our confidence and posed us in ways that felt natural and made us feel beautiful! He's also super responsive and answered all of our questions or concerns quickly. And the turnaround time for your pictures is lightening fast! You won't have to wait months or even weeks to get your pictures! Our wedding was April 22 and just 5 days later he's already sent ALL of our wedding photos! We loved our pictures and we loved working with him! We can't recommend him enough! -

Amazing work!!!
We really loved taking our engagement photos with Melvin! The only problem is all of them are SO beautiful we can’t choose just one for save the dates! His editing is gorgeous and he made us feel EXTREMELY relaxed during our shoot! He posed us perfectly and made us laugh! Is very great with communication, answered ALL of my questions! The Best Decision!
Covenant Pictures is AMAZING! From the first day we hired Melvin, he was always quick to respond to emails or texts! Melvin keeps you very informed and is very knowledgeable and passionate about his work! On our wedding day, he made us feel so comfortable. He had our whole bridal party laughing and having fun! At the end of the evening, he stole us away for about 10-15 minutes to do a sunset shoot and the photos turned out beautiful!!! We received our photos within a month of our wedding! Hiring Melvin for our wedding photography was the best decision we could’ve made and he was definitely our favorite vendor on our big day. Melvin not only spent 10 hours the day-of shooting our wedding, but also took our engagement photos and my bridal portraits. All of his work turned out absolutely beautiful and I will treasure it forever. I also have to commend him for his quick turnaround time and prompt communication. Best Photographer Ever
Melvin was such a pleasure to work with. His work is AMAZING and speaks for itself. My husband and I are incredibly awkward in front of the camera, but Melvin made us feel so comfortable and we had a blast working with him! He walked us through the day and directed everyone on where to stand and how to pose for the perfect shots without being demanding or taking the fun out of the day. Melvin is a professional and knows exactly what he's doing. He's truly an expert at his craft. Not only is his work amazing but he returned our pictures within TWO WEEKS!!! When I started my journey to wedding day, the #1 vendor on my list was a photographer & videographer team. Capturing our memories and freeze framing time is so important, because it's a once in a lifetime moment and you will never have a do-over! When we found Covenant Pictures at the bridal show in Galveston, we actually had an answered prayer! Right from the start, Melvin gave us a 100% and that drive and determination lasted right up to the last email when he sent us our final links to everything wedding! Melvin and his team were truly amazing. He was always accessible, responsive, on time, helpful, and professional. I knew even when I had covid and got really sick, Melvin was right there making sure all my wishes were coming true. ALSO, a BONUS.

Such an amazing talented photographer
Melvin and his crew were simply amazing. He went over and beyond every expectation we had for him. Our wedding and engagement pictures were superb. My fiance and I were overwhelmed with the options we found for photographers. What stood out the most for Melvin was his price and his quality of work. The best wedding photographer
Over the years several family and friends have used Covenant Pictures for their weddings. All have had great experiences. I’ve had the pleasure of seen it very close to me.
This year I will be getting married and I knew for sure I wanted to hire Melvin Gilbert for my wedding photography. Getting in contact is quick and everything goes so smooth. We already did the save the dates and it’s been awesome. So friendly and creative, you feel comfortable during the session. I have worked with other photographers that don’t have that creative spark. He knows exactly how to get the best pictures. I can’t recommended Covenant Pictures enough. -

We took our engagement photos with Haris in Brooklyn, NY and then they provided our photography, videography, and photobooth services at our wedding at The Mansion at Noble Lane (Bethany, PA). We were only expecting a team of four (2 photographers, 1 videographer, 1 photobooth asst) , but they were accompanied by a 3rd photographer, as well. All of our photos were high-quality and gorgeous-- they went above and beyond to take nontraditional photos that really embodied who we are as a couple. In addition to taking awesome photos, they awed us and our guests with a same-day edit photo montage and then were able to send us about 75+ pics the day after the wedding. Then, to top it off, they have provided us with nearly 4000 images and a wedding video trailer. We just can't wait to see the wedding video itself, because we know it will be awesome! Our friends and family are still talking about how great they were-- they not only missed their dinner, but they stayed overtime to ensure that they got as much photos and footage as possible of our special day. Without hesitation, we would recommend Elevate Pictures as THE BEST wedding photographers and videographers of all time!
