Sus empleados son sumamente amables y detallistas. En especial, quiero mencionar a su gerente de catering Mariela, es un ser humano excepcional que nos trató con una calidad humana increíble, siempre buscándonos la vuelta para complacernos en todo.

The value for the money was great. I was very fortunate to work with Amnel Colon and Rocio Romero, who were in charge of catering and the room block respectively. Both were extremely professional and attentive, and never failed to respond to my emails/inquiries within 24 hours, even though I was highly disorganized. They were always so patient with me and understanding of my delays.
We opted for the Puerto Rican buffet and heard great things from the guests about the food. We didn’t do the open bar option since we had a lot of guests who drink very little, but the drinks served during cocktail hour were delicious, and they let us make a fairly last minute change without extra cost. The venue also let us reserve two locations- we booked the Green Lawn, and Las Brisas as a weather backup, which we ended up using for no extra cost. The staff and venue both were extremely flexible with making sure we could be accommodated. We had several guests with severe food allergies, including nuts, shellfish, and wheat, which the venue accommodated beautifully, despite opting for the buffet. Rocio very kindly double and triple checked the menu for us to ensure we wouldn’t have to do a complicated song and dance with the table dismissals. She also helped with making a number of complicated changes to the wedding block, so that we, and some of our guests, could arrive early/depart later.
The reception and ceremony both went smoothly too. The venue provided bug spray for my guests since it was all outdoors, and assigned a personal server to us (my spouse and I) to look after us all night. They also made sure to hand out water all night long, and Edwin very thoughtfully kept my teenage brother hydrated through his first legal drinking experience! The staff are truly so attentive and professional.
I also want to specially thank Amnel, who really came through for me on a dress emergency out of a bride’s worst stress dreams. My seamstress was unable to complete either of my dresses, and Amnel was able to find someone who came to the hotel and dropped the dresses back off earlier than promised, and they did amazing work.
One last recommendation for the venue would be that many vendors in the area have already worked here before- our photographer knew where pictures would be best, with the fewest people, the DJ and coordinator had no questions for us with setup, and my hair/makeup artist also mentioned that she felt brides at Isla Verde were the least stressed of any of the venues she worked. I truly recommend this venue and the staff here without reservation. Our final guest count was 60, and as far as I know, every last one had a beautiful time. -

We are so happy with our choice in Isla Verde Weddings at the Marriott. This is the most beautiful, ocean front venue. The staff was incredible - Mariela was so lovely to work with and helped make our day perfect. Our ceremony took place in the Green Area which was beyond beautiful with the ocean and palm tree backdrop. The star of out night was the reception at Las Brisas - I cannot say enough great things about the Terrace. It is so thoughtfully built to allow for the beauty of the beach to play as your wedding day backdrop. Would highly recommend this venue! -

My wife and I hosted our wedding room block at this hotel, along with our Sangeet welcome party on the Las Brisas Terrace, and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. From start to finish, the staff provided outstanding service and helped us tremendously with planning, logistics, and quickly handling any last-minute questions or requests. We are really appreciative of the great service from Mariela, Rocio, Alejandra, along with the rest of the team.
The Las Brisas Terrace is a beautiful venue with an incredible view of the beach and sunset. It created the perfect backdrop for our event. The food was also fantastic — we hosted an Indian-themed welcome party, and the kitchen did an amazing job preparing both the Indian dishes and the American barbecue options. Our guests were very impressed with the quality and variety.
Our guests (and us too) absolutely loved staying here for the weekend. The easy beach access with chairs and umbrellas, the pool, and the breakfast buffet were all major highlights.
I’ve visited Puerto Rico many times, and I would highly recommend Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort for anyone planning a vacation or looking for wedding accommodations, room blocks, or event space. They played a big role in making our wedding weekend so memorable. -

We had our wedding room block and welcome party here at the hotel and it was truly PERFECT. Our guests all had an amazing time and raved about the experience. For the hotel - it truly had everything our guests needed: beach front access with free chairs/umbrellas, 24 hour pool + hot tub + free towels, multiple restaurants, bars and a cafe, a casino, parking garage and event space. There is a grocery store closed by and it’s close enough to uber anywhere around San Juan. For a destination wedding the value of everything is unbeatable for guests. I also need to mention the renovations are STUNNING.
I need to give a huge thanks to Amnel and Mariela who we worked with over this past year. Amnel was amazing to work with for our welcome event on Las Brisas terrace, he was so professional and SUPER helpful every step of the way from touring, to curating the bar/food menu and the floor plan.
Mariela helped us with the room block and preparing for our guests. She was always so courteous and polite when reaching out for updates and was more than happy to assist with any other questions or recommendations we needed.
These two really made our experience with the hotel so easy and I can highly recommend the courtyard because of them!

I would like to start by saying the best part of the venue is Amnel Colon. He help us with everything we needed and made us feel comfortable. The best service. The hotel is beautiful. The venue options they have are BEAUTIFUL. They are able to have plan A, B, C just in case of rain. The food is amazing. Me and my now husband had the best experience everything we imagine we had. I can say 10000% that I had the most relaxed and joyful wedding day due to the help of Amnel and the rest of the staff at the Courtyard Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort. I have been saying that planning this wedding was months of stress that ultimately payed off for a perfectly stress-free day. Important to note that while the day was perfect to us, but we did NOT have a perfectly smooth day due to unexpected heavy rain showers. What kept me stress-free through the chaos was the quick work of the CMIVBR staff and my wedding organizer Eva who moved our beachfront wedding into the ballroom and made it look just as beautiful. -

We celebrated our wedding at the Courtyard by Marriott in Puerto Rico, and everything was absolutely wonderful. The location was perfect, making it easy and convenient for all of our guests.
The food was spectacular—we chose the Puerto Rican buffet, and it was a huge hit. Our guests were extremely happy and couldn’t stop complimenting the flavors and variety.

The Courtyard Marriott Isla Verde is truly an amazing hotel and venue. We worked with Juan. He is very helpful, responsive and tries to accommodate all requests! This venue is truly one of a kind. My husband's family is Puerto Rican. His mother was visiting last summer and toured wedding venues for us. She sent quite a few, but Courtyard Marriott Isla Verde really stuck out to me. I loved the options for the locations of the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, etc. I also loved that they had a detailed timeline of how the day would unfold. After much contemplating, I decided to go with this venue because of their responsiveness, professionalism, services, and price value. I worked with Juan, who was a dream to work with. He was always responsive and helpful. The entire event went flawless. I cannot say one bad thing. Many people told me it is the best venue / wedding they have every been to. I am 100% satisfied with my wedding here! Also, my husband and I had a personal waiter during the event whose name was Reuben, and he did an outstanding job. -

Great wedding by the beach!
We had an outstanding wedding. Mariela was very helpful since the beginning. Ruben was so attentive serving us, the married couple throughout the entire evening of the wedding day. The decorations done by Fabiola were amazing too. We had a band called Los Chagos playing and creating a fun atmosphere having us sing and dance until 11:00 pm and there were no complaints about noise by any guests. The hotel personnel also arranged a surprise aperitif upon arrival in the room and a free bottle of champagne and chocolate strawberries after the wedding. We all had a great time. -

Sacred Marriage
We had a destination microwedding focused on a Christ-centered sacred marriage. The entire staff was very respectful and diligent with our aim for our wedding. The director of catering, Amnel Colon, was very welcoming especially when we traveled to PR unannounced to see the venue where he took time out of his lunch to show us around with no hesitation to answer every single question we had. Amnel was very pleasant, easy to talk to, and very responsive while planning the wedding from far away. The climate was perfect and the sunset was a complete showcase on its own. The food was very delicious (so good that we forgot to take pictures beforehand lol)! It was the perfect venue and meal for our wedding day! -

Although the wedding day didn't turn out quite as planned, Amnel and the team at Isla Verde Weddings at the Courtyard Marriott were a delight to work with. I originally opted for the ceremony and cocktail in the garden area facing the beach, but God had other plans because it rained pretty heavily less than one hour before the ceremony. Nevertheless as you can see from the photos Las Brisas Terrace was a beautiful setup for the ceremony and reception to happen in one place. The ceremony felt more intimate this way and the biggest reason I didn't freak out about relocating the ceremony is because Amnel was very transparent from the beginning about this being a possibility due to how unpredictable tropical weather can be. Since I was mentally prepared for that aspect I had no choice but to put my trust in his team and my amazing florist and Coordinator.
The planning was seamless and we had the opportunity to visit PR in October to do our food tasting in person. The food was absolutely delicious! I loved the infusion of Puerto Rican flavors in the options we went with for our menu. We had the stuffed chicken breast with plantains and churrasco steak with chimichurri for the main protein options. We had a couple vegetarian and pescatarians who enjoyed their meals as well. Major food highlights were sancocho cream with recao oil for the first course and the mamposteao (red beans and rice mixed) risotto style. So creamy and flavorful!
The rehearsal dinner was lovely as an outdoor BBQ and we also added a farewell brunch on Sunday because it was Mother's Day. All of the food was buffet style for both events and were tasty and high quality. Service the whole weekend was seamless and courteous. Overall it was the wedding beyond my wildest dreams! This is a stunning location on the beach so although I didn't have the ceremony I wanted there, we still captured memories at the beach the remainder of the weekend!
Guest count was 50 for us. We are from NYC and a majority of our guests traveled from there, a few from California and one from Hawaii! Everyone absolutely enjoyed their experience and I will always remember this weekend of events with love. -

Celebrar nuestra boda en el Marriott Courtyard de Isla Verde fue una de las mejores decisiones que tomamos. Desde el primer día, la atención fue impecable. El hotel es precioso, con una vista espectacular y un salón hermoso, perfecto para una ocasión tan especial. Pero más allá de lo bello del lugar, lo que realmente marcó la diferencia fue el servicio.
Amnel, el director de eventos, fue increíble desde el principio. Siempre mantuvo una comunicación clara y constante con nosotros, y se aseguró de que todo fluyera perfectamente. Estuvo pendiente de cada detalle y trabajó en total coordinación con nuestra coordinadora de bodas y con todos los vendors, lo cual hizo que todo fuera mucho más fácil para nosotros.
Tanto él como todo el staff del hotel fueron atentos, amables y siempre dispuestos a acomodar lo que necesitáramos. En ningún momento nos sentimos desatendidos — al contrario, siempre estuvieron presentes, asegurándose de que todo saliera perfecto.
Y como si eso fuera poco, Amnel incluso se tomó el tiempo de pasar a saludarnos el día de la boda… ¡en su día libre! Ese gesto habla del compromiso y la pasión con la que trabaja. De verdad que se botó. No podríamos estar más agradecidos.

Anika Sent on 03/31/2025Perfect Puerto Rican Beach Wedding!
We would recommend this venue to EVERYONE!! It was absolutely amazing from receiving our first quote all the way to the end of our wedding.
We had our wedding on Saturday, March 29th, 2025. Our ceremony was held on the Green Area and our reception was held in Las Brisas. We had about 65 people attend in total. It rained very briefly the morning of the wedding day, but in true tropical weather fashion, it stopped raining about as quickly as it started. It was 85-86ish degrees with 70% humidity, but the constant coastal breeze helped keep the temperature to a minimum for the ceremony. Although the reception was outside and in a covered area, it did get pretty warm (especially while dancing!!). We recommend having some form of fan as a wedding gift to guests to help them cool down!
Working with Juan Fuentes and Alejandra Rosa was an absolute joy. Juan is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and went above and beyond while helping our families. If you have any questions, he is quick to respond and will find you an answer if he doesn’t know right away. Juan was always reachable! Once we arrived to the hotel, he met us and walked us around the property to show where we would be having all of our festivities. Juan assisted us with the booking of both the ceremony and reception areas, the kind of food we would have, the bar, and worked with our wedding coordinator (Shout out Michelle Cruz Badia Events!). Juan is bilingual and made a half English half Spanish wedding work amazingly.
Alejandra was wonderful as well! We ended up creating a room block reservation which she helped us with. Despite our hesitance in doing it, we are so, so glad we did! We decided on 10 rooms, and we’re glad we did, because by the time our wedding was here, the hotel was completely booked for our wedding weekend.
All of the staff were eager to help, extremely professional, and we enjoyed working with most everyone at the hotel. Housekeeping has a bit left to be desired.. On the wedding day, it took 3 separate requests from the bride and groom to have the bridal suite cleaned by housekeeping in preparation for professional photos to be taken. Besides the housekeeping, the only other minor issue we had was how long everything takes; especially food and drinks at the restaurant and bar outside (Sirena).
The catering came included in our overall price, as did the bar. We chose to have the Puerto Rican Buffett which we had amazing reviews from our guests. The food was delicious, cooked well, plentiful, and vegan/gluten free options were offered. The bar was fantastic as well. The bartender was a great vibe and happy to serve. We had a good mix of liquors, wines, beers, and non alcoholic drinks.
The Green Area and Las Brisas were excellent locations to have our best day ever at. The only issues we personally found with the Green Area is that the beach is a public beach, so there happened to be a group of people who erected a white canopy on the beach which happened to be very near where our ceremony and was seen during the ceremony. There’s also potential for people to be walking in the back ground or popping a squat in a chair on the beach where photos are being taken. For Las Brisas, it has some of the best and prettiest beach views I’ve seen before, but unfortunately the other side looks at the parking garage, and cars can be seen from inside. However, there are sun shades that are pulled down and help hide the garage, as well as several fun designs that break it up. Truthfully, as the night progressed, we didn’t really even notice the other side of Las Brisas. Both the ceremony and reception spots provided incredible views that made for the best photos and memories. The deep blue ocean, blue skies, and palm trees made the experience all the more remarkable.
The beach itself is very clean! The sand is amazing. They have 3rd party vendors on the beach who control the beach chairs and umbrellas. If you are staying at the resort, you get them for free, and if you have other guests who are not staying at the hotel itself, the prices are relatively inexpensive and reasonable. Don’t forget your sunscreen and bug spray, though!
There are no shuttles to/from the airport, but TSJU is located so close, that it’s both a good and bad thing (depending on who you ask!). The Ubers seemed to vary heavily in pricing and taxis were more consistently priced. A very quick 6-9 minute drive to the hotel once you leave the airport. That’s the best part about the proximity to the airport. The other part is that the airplane noise is pretty apparent (we understood that when we booked, please, if you’re going to book here, do not complain about the airplane noise too much).
There are several restaurants, bars, and entertainment options in walking distance, but a majority of the fun things to do are located in Old San Juan, which isn’t a bad uber/taxi ride away.
Overall, we had an incredible experience. A few hiccups along the way, but the Courtyard by Marriott, Isla Verde was an amazing venue. Wonderful and attentive staff, great views, an amazing beach, and the best time of our lives. -

We had the absolute perfect wedding at the Courtyard by Marriot Isla Verde Beach Resort! The venue was beautiful; the hotel was clean and had plenty of room for our guests; the lobby is stunning with a full casino, bar and coffee shop; the staff were INCREDIBLE!! The staff that took care of us during the wedding were amazing too! We had hors d'oeuvres and drinks delivered to us during the cocktail hour while we were taking photos. Our drinks were always full and food was always available to us. They went out of their way to make us feel special! -

After seeing all the pictures and reading other reviews about this location, my wife and I decided to have our wedding here December 2024. We worked with Juan Fuentes, who was really helpful in making our stay there very special. He is very responsive, answered all our questions about pricing, provided us with more than enough info and pictures, and communicated any time he would be out of office. He was with us every step of the way, and ensured that our room was everything that we needed with a great view.
The hotel is well kept and made for some great pictures. There was some renovations going on while we were there, but it didn't really affect the hotel's aesthetic and there was no construction going on during the weekend. There a beautiful beach that is well maintained and a large pool with a hot tub that was very nice. The outdoor bar was perfect for gatherings with our guests, and all the staff is super friendly, hard working, and made great drinks. Come wedding day, everything was setup exactly how we wanted. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were all fantastic. My wife is Puerto Rican and we had probably the best Piña Colada's on the island at this Courtyard. We did the buffet option for food through the hotel and had chicken, churrasco, fish and other dishes that our guests absolutely loved. They also left Prosecco in our room while we were getting married!
As far as our room, we stayed in the Ocean View suite on the 11th floor that had great lighting and an awesome view of the beach. The room was well kept with a full kitchen and a nice bedroom. There was plenty of space for my wife to have her friends there while she got ready and for the hair/makeup venders to setup. Plenty of good angles for good wedding photos too!
Highly recommend this location for events or vacations. You won't be let down -

We had our wedding Oct 2024 at Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort and everything was perfect. I was planning this destination wedding all the way from Minnesota and working with Juan, who I cannot recommend enough. He was truly amazing, detailed through the entire process and beyond. His communication was quick, and no detail was too small, he answered all my questions and just made me feel so comfortable. I knew that with him, the wedding would go perfectly, and it did. He showed me the layouts and gave great ideas, you could tell he has so much experience with weddings and knew exactly what to do in any situation. He was so committed to making sure the wedding was exactly what I wanted and really appreciated him even more for that so much. I had a small intimate wedding of about 20 people. We had the ceremony on the Sirena Grass overlooking the ocean and it was stunning. I could not have asked for better scenery. We had the cocktail hour and dinner on the Sirena Terrace, and it was perfect. The food and drinks were so delicious, my guest kept complimenting the food. We had Chicken Satay, crab cakes and Humus, pita and veggies for cocktail hour along with the passion fruit mojito for the signature drink. All a huge hit. We did one long imperial table for dinner which was the skirt steak and French cut chicken. Both tender and juicy, so delicious!! The staff were so friendly, kind and just created an additional friendly and attentive vibe for everyone. They even bought my husband and I appetizers and drinks out to the beach where we were taking pictures when we took a little break so we could enjoy ourselves too, which was so thoughtful. You hear about the wedding couple not getting to eat much, not us, they made sure we were brought food and drinks. I remember my glass being empty, I looked up and there was a staff with another for me so fast, so attentive. And after a long day of getting ready and last-minute wedding details, it was much appreciated. The hotel and location are so beautiful and convenient for guests. The airport is literally 7 minutes away! Everyone of my guests could not stop raving about how easy it was to get to the hotel and how beautiful everything was. I cannot recommend Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort enough. Highly recommend and ask for Juan😊 -

We recently had our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding at Isla Verde Courtyard. We can’t say enough great things about our experience, especially thanks to Juan, the event and catering manager. From the very first time we met Juan months before the wedding, when he hosted us during our venue search, he was friendly, insightful, and very proactive. He was just as amazing throughout every communication before the wedding, during our stay, and even after the big day!
Juan went above and beyond in so many ways. He didn’t just help us plan and pull off the perfect wedding—he made our daughter-in-law feel incredibly special. Whether it was buying her coffee when they bumped into each other in the lobby or giving our entire family a personal tour of the wedding day plans, Juan was always there to make sure everything was just right. He even did a second tour the next day when our photographer arrived, making sure everything was ready to go.
The wedding itself was flawless, and I credit Juan’s dedication, expertise, and his calm yet fun demeanor for making it so! Even with a hurricane on the horizon, we felt completely at ease knowing we were in good hands! The catering staff at both the welcome dinner and the reception were phenomenal, and Juan’s presence at each event—though not required—was a true testament to his commitment to ensuring everything went smoothly.
Our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding couldn’t have been more perfect, and a huge part of that is thanks to Juan. If you’re planning an event in Puerto Rico, I highly recommend Isla Verde and working with Juan - he’s absolutely the best! -

After researching different venues in Puerto Rico, we landed on the Courtyard Marriott and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment we chose this venue over 8 months ago, Juan was there every step of the way to help us make decisions and make the process enjoyable.
The venue itself was stunning, it looked even better in person! We had our ceremony on the green space and the reception in las brisas. Both were the perfect size for our 50 person wedding. The food and drinks were outstanding - they even were able to cater to our vegetarian guests by having a special dish at the buffet just for them!
What truly made our experience was the incredible staff. They were all so sweet and kind, going above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Even the bartenders were dancing to the music and having so much fun with us. They even packed up some of our food and desserts to take back to the hotel room after the reception. So kind!
This venue had everything - an amazing beach, pool, staff, food, drinks...the list goes on. Don't hesitate, book this beautiful venue for your wedding. Thank you Juan and the entire team, for making our wedding day an amazing experience! We cannot wait to stay here again the next time we visit Puerto Rico!! -

We had our wedding here on February 2024. It took us a year to plan all the way from Houston, TX. Amnel made the planning easy, and provided us with a vendor recommendation list, giving me ease and comfort that I would be working with a great team. The attention to details for our wedding, the accommodations, the facilities and resort were all perfect.
We’re a foodie couple and we wanted our guests to have a delicious meal. The three course meal an appetizers were a crowd pleaser. Everything was delicious and served perfectly. Our personal waiter did a wonderful job making sure we were hydrated and comfortable the entire wedding. We got married at the Courtyard Isla Verde in February 2024, and it was absolutely incredible. We had our ceremony and cocktail hour at the oceanfront green area and reception at Las Brisas. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place and its staff. Juan and his team at the Marriott were extremely communicative and kind. Planning a destination wedding from the US can be stressful, but Juan always quickly answered my questions via email. The grounds are so beautiful and our guests had a great time at the casino, pool, beach and restaurants during our stay. The location is conveniently located very close to the airport and the planes were not as loud as we expected. We only had one take off during our ceremony, which was not a big deal, as we just paused for the 30 seconds. Our entire wedding day was seamless and wonderful thanks to the Marriott staff. The food was so good! Reuben was our awesome waiter at our reception and always made sure we had drinks and ate on time! When comparing prices with other nearby vendors, the Marriott was a lower cost, and I’m so glad we had our wedding there.
The ONLY issue we had was with our room block. For our guests that stayed dates before or after our room block dates, they had to make separate reservations for those stays, which made everything a mess and hard to track. I felt like guests should have receievd our room block rate for their entire stay. Upon check-in, the front desk tried to tell our guests they would have to check-out and back-in on those dates and potentially switch rooms, which caused some chaos. Luckily a manager was able to resolve this so guests did not have to change rooms, but they did have to re-check in for dates outside of our room block. For a well-recognized brand that has weddings every weekend, this should be a much better process, as almost all guests stayed additional days to extend their vacation.
If you are considering getting married here, do it; you will not regret it!!

Our ceremony was in the Green Area of the hotel which was absolutely stunning. It was a bit smaller than expected but everything came together beautifully. I didn’t love that when I walked to the ceremony I had to turn a corner so I saw the groom right away but it really didn’t make a difference. The only downside was the “no-see-um” bugs which are sand fleas that come out at dusk and dawn and made me super itchy. The guests weren’t too bothered. The reception was held in Las Brisas on the second floor which helped with the heat but it was definitely still pretty warm. We didn’t care though, we all danced the night away. The staff was IMPECCABLE, couldn’t say better things about them all. The hotel was so kind and even let us have a little after party in the lobby bar. I couldn’t be more grateful for my experience with the Courtyard Isla Verde. -

Amnel is the best asset this place has, you deserve a raise my man. From all the emails of all the planning, constant changes in the BEO, all the flexibility to allow us to have our dog, these people went beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted if it was possible.

Finding the right wedding venue is the most import step in planning your wedding. After searching tirelessly for the right location for our destination wedding, we finally landed on Courtyard by Marriott in Isla Verde. It was the best decision we could possibly make. The location was perfect. Pricing and services offered was so much better than anything that we were finding from other venues. We immediately loved the place. This is before we were introduced to Amnel, catering director, for the Courtyard. Amnel was nothing short of amazing. We were planning our wedding from a distance so we really needed someone on the ground to pretty much hold our hand throughout the process. Amnel was attentive, responsive and extremely helpful. We could not have done this without him. Our wedding day went without a hitch. The location, food and catering staff were all amazing. Everyone at the wedding had such a great time and many of our guests kept mentioning how this was the best wedding they have ever been to. We had our wedding in December 3rd 2022. Since I don't live in the island, fast and easy communication was a must. Amnel responded to my initial request within a day, if not hours, something that didn't happen with other venues and always with a great attitude. I planned a flash trip to the island and he accommodated me in his busy schedule to show me around. I sent an email with more than 20 questions and he took the time to answer one by one in record time. I planned a second trip to the island to try the food, and once again, they were very accommodating to my schedule. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. All my guests were talking about how good everything was. On the day of the wedding we had someone attending to us (I wish I remembered his name) he was super sweet and attentive. I'm so glad everything went well, this hotel is very important for us since we met there and it would've been frustrating to give up on the idea of getting married there due to poor communication or service. We can describe our experience of our wedding at the Courtyard Marriott as OUTSTANDING! The whole process of our wedding coordination at the hotel with Amnel Colón was exceptional! We would have never imagined being so relaxed at our wedding day, but knowing that the hotel staff was so well coordinated and prepared, it made our wedding day UNFORGETTABLE! The hotel facilities are excellent, the staff is very attentive and professional. Our reception food was delicious and all the Menu options we evaluated for our tasting beforehand seemed excellent as well, they even have vegan/vegetarian options. All our guests were very happy with all the waiters and bartenders that attended our cocktail hour and reception. We had initially planned our wedding reception on Las Brisas Terrace which has a breathtaking ocean view, but 2 days before our wedding we had a storm warning on the Island, so just to be cautious we moved the reception to the hotel's ballroom Salón del Mar. I thought this was going to be an issue, since it was so last minute, but again Amnel made the whole process super easy! The ballroom is very elegant and blends in perfectly with any decorations. Fortunately it did not rain on our wedding day, so we were able to have our ceremony on the hotel's beach/green area and it was a dream come true! The views were unbelievable and the pictures came out so beautifully! We need to give a special thank you to Amnel, who so kindly and patiently helped us during the whole process. He was always super available to answer any questions, always very responsible and everything he did, exceed all our expectations on our special day. His experience in the hotel/wedding industry is notable in his planning execution and he also has great communication with a lot of vendors, so this was a PLUS! If you are planning a worry-free beach wedding don't think twice on booking the Courtyard Mariott at Isla Verde, you won't regret it! -

She helped me find some vendors as well and helped me decide on how to place the tables for my reception. As of the Courtyard hotel itself amazing! Its so beautiful my. Beach wedding dream. We had our ceremony in the green area, the cocktail hour in the terrace, and the reception in las brisas. The las brisas has a beautiful view and very windy which is great. It was a great experience working with the courtyard. I took over some welcome bag for my guests and they gave them out to all of them. I would 100% recommend this hotel as a destination wedding. We had our wedding on May 28th here and it was a great experience all around. Amnel was the absolute best with answering all of my questions as I was planning a destination from Minnesota. He was very patient with us as we were trying to understand the layouts & spaces available. My husband and I actually decided to visit in January to meet with all of our vendors before the wedding and Amnel set up a food tasting for us! Such a fun experience that we didn't think we'd get to have with a destination wedding.
We ended up having 87 guests with our ceremony/cocktail hour on the Green Area & reception in Las Brisas. Everyone was raving about the hors d'oeuvres and our signature cocktail (coconut mojito). The staff was so kind as they were passing out appetizers and one of them even wanted to get a picture with us newlyweds, so sweet! I was nervous about the Green Area being so open to the public but it ended up not being a problem at all with our ceremony at 4:30 and cocktail hour from 5:00-5:45 since guests were clearing out for dinner plans.
Dinner was also delicious and very reasonably priced compared to other venues we were looking at in Puerto Rico. We ended up giving our guests an option between the red snapper, french cut chicken and zucchini spaghetti. French cut chicken was absolutely incredible and we chose the plantain soup (also amazing) with a strawberry salad. Amnel overheard that I love caprese salads so they made one just for me, SO KIND.
I also was very pleased with the bartenders all night. They were having such a fun time, it honestly felt like we were being served by friends and they kept up with our drinking crowd! They even gave me, as the bride, a fancier glass to drink out of because they didn't think I should be drinking out of a plastic cup. It's the little things at this venue, I'm telling ya!
As far as the hotel goes, the staff was very kind and in handed out welcome gifts to our guests staying at the hotel. Natalia was awesome with assisting in that and also with our room block. She was great about keeping us in the loop with where we were at for numbers as we were getting closer to our deadline. Our guests LOVED the pool bar & casino at the hotel. The rooms were nice & we found a lot of random areas for photos in order to change up the scenery. The only negative thing I can think of were the no-see-um bugs, which I realize they can't control. But just something to keep in mind so you're not getting bit up before your wedding. They do offer complimentary bug spray at the towel stand but we didn't realize until after bug bites since you literally cannot see these little bugs! The beach area feels private and there is staff that helps bring lounge chairs out for you. It is also walkable to Vivo Beach Club which I highly recommend eating at their Ocean Lab Brewery. SO GOOD. We also had our rehearsal dinner here which was delicious and conveniently close for everyone.
Anyways, long story long... highly recommend!!! -

We had the most amazing wedding ever!! Amnel was extremely patient with me as we worked together to make the set up in Las Brisas work for both ceremony/reception, and he always had an answer for my questions. He was quick to offer suggestions and help find solutions! Liana was amazing the day of and everything ran so smoothly!! I don't usually enjoy wedding food, but ours was AMAZING! We had the Puerto Rican buffet so everyone could find something they liked, and they did! Everyone had something wonderful to say about the food they picked. I had to get rice the next morning too because it was so awesome! The staff that was helping serve at the wedding were fantastic as well! They were so quick to help and helped our wedding run smoothly as well. They even joined us in the middle of the dance circle a few times, great times and even greater people!! I reached out a few days later to Amnel because I thought our ice cream bar was not brought out since we didn't see it and was pretty bummed, but he was so quick to check and gave us a refund when it was our mistake for not seeing it. I was blown away by the professionalism and character that was shown when it was our mistake in the first place. Our wedding was already a DREAM, but the fact that things were made right even though they didn't need to at all is just amazing. These are the people who genuinely care about what they do and I promise you will not be disappointed on your wedding day. Planning our wedding here was not stressful with such an amazing team assisting you along the way. Our guests are still talking about the wedding, it was truly the best day ever. THANK YOU ALL!!!!! -

If you are thinking about having a Destination wedding at the Beach this is where you MUST have it. From the staff Tatiana, Natalia, Gabriela, and Amnel, to the amazing food and bartender... it was all perfect. My guests and family couldn't stop raving about the entire experience. Everyone was so friendly, professional and on point. It was totally stress free and our dream come true. We highly recommend having your Destination wedding here at the Marriott in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico. -

We had a destination wedding and visited this venue a year prior. The team was friendly and responsive which really made planning from afar easier.
We used this venue for our beach side ceremony and outdoor reception and This team & location exceeded my expectations. We had a traditional Puerto Rican menu. The food & service was excellent. We got compliments all night from our guests. Amnel, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Special thank you to Julio Vientas for his attention to details on our wedding day

Start to finish, Marriott was amazing. We were a little nervous to choose a location that we would not see for the first time until the wedding day, but all the photos were spot on. The care and professionalism we received was world class. Tatiana, in particular, was a gem! As a small story of her wonderfulness, I left an heirloom on my wedding bouquet, and didn't realize until the next day after the vendors had come to clean up. Panicked, I told Tatiana, and she told me not to worry! After we returned to the US, she personally contacted the vendor, located the bouquet, and sent it to me in the mail. Simply phenomenal!! -

Amenl Made Our Day Truly Perfect
Don't be turned-off by the Courtyard name - this is the perfect place for a wedding. When we started looking for wedding venues, the Courtyard was not at the top of our list. Fifteen minutes with Amnel and his team, and we were sold, and he did not disappoint. As someone who plans events professionally, Amnel is the most talented event coordinator with whom I’ve worked. He is thorough, kind, and very detailed oriented. We came to him with ideas, and he not only met our dreams – he exceeded them. He anticipated our needs and went out of his way to ensure every detail was taken care of to the max. Every single staff member made our guests feel like we were home. The food was fantastic; the prices were reasonable. Our guests had so much fun at this property that we’re planning a reunion at the Courtyard next year to do it again (minus the wedding part). Amnel is sure to make your wedding or event unforgettable. People talk about their weddings being their perfect day. Truly, Amnel made our wedding our perfect day. -

A venue makes or breaks a wedding and the Courtyard by Marriott definitely makes a wedding; we had our ceremony at Terraza Las Brisas and it was magical, the setting, the view and the sea breeze provided the perfect atmosphere. On the other hand, we had our reception at Salon Del Mar; it was perfect, the space was more than comfortable for our nearly 100 guests, our vendors and the staff. We also had our dinner served by the hotel and it was delicious, our guests keep mentioning how much they enjoyed their food from the hors d'oeuvres to the late-night snack. Our planning was simplified by the diligence and professionalism of Amnel Colon, Director of Catering, who made sure our vision came true. We would also like to include our server, Julio Vientos, who made our evening all the merrier with his attentive service and good sense of humor. If you want a hassle-free, beautiful setting for your special day, do not hesitate to consider this venue.
