I couldn’t say enough about how much help they were. Everything we dreamed of and more they accommodated. They even gave us recommendations of places to use for the cake, the DJ and various other things we needed. The cherry on top was when we were setting up all the decorations and last minute when we realized the cake delivery time had already passed we turned around to find that the hotel staff had already dealt with and set our cake in the place we wanted. I couldn’t ask for more and it was a night my wife and I will never forget and the night we always dreamed of. Special shoutout to Trisha Aughe for being so accommodating for the various different requests that we had off the menu and off the usual list of things.

We reserved a block of rooms for our daughter's wedding and both Whitley and Trisha were great about keeping us informed with reservations and even accommodating requests to add some additional nights and rooms. Very pleased with their service and our guests enjoyed the hotel - especially being able to walk to great restaurants and entertainment!

I had an amazing experience working with Danielle, Jamie, and the entire staff. It was a smooth and straightforward process.

Everyone at the Courtyard Marriott Carolina Beach were very helpful, professional, flexible, and worked with us for as much time as we needed every step of the way. Cannot recommend this venue and team enough. They made our wedding a special and magical day for both of our families.

First off, I have very high expectations and can be very picky. (Well that's what my husband tells me haha) With that being said, the staff at the Marriott went well beyond my hopes and dreams of having a perfect wedding. The wait staff was professional and made me feel very important. They gave us a free ocean view suite for our wedding night and the food was phenomenal. The chef definitely knows what he is doing! Thank you guys for making our day perfect!

Everyone at the Marriott was very friendly and helpful towards my wife, our guests, and myself. I would definitely recommend them for an event and to stay at. They have a great view.

We had a beautiful beachfront ceremony at the Marriott! All the staff are incredible, and so helpful! The hotel was very clean, and all the rooms are oceanfront! It was a great location, so many things to do within walking distance!

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and responsive. Everyone was great to work with and they made the process very smooth. Thank you for making my dream wedding come true!

Words cannot express how grateful we are for the staff and our experience at the Courtyard Marriott! Loralei, our event manager, was just the best and I couldn’t have gotten through everything that came up that day & beforehand without her and her amazing staff, executive chef Elwood, Christina and Emery from the banquet staff and even the room staff, were all professional courteous and wonderful to work with! Five stars all around and well worth any cost for the day!

I have never had so many people tell me that this is the first wedding they’ve been to where everything went perfectly.

I was in pure panic mode, when a week before my wedding I ended up with no wedding venue. Thank goodness for Nellie, who came to my rescue. She was very quick to respond and very efficient. When I told her of my woes, she was very understanding and reassuring. Nellie went above and beyond to ensure my day was as seamless and stress free as possible. I don't know what I would have done without her assistance and calm guidance.

My wedd was a dream come true thanks to the wonderful Nellie and staff at the courtyard by Marriott, Nell was always available to us and completely guided us through the whole wedding process, it just couldn't have been easier. The food was delicious and service spectacular!

Words cannot describe how perfect our wedding day was because of the team at the Courtyard Carolina Beach! Nellie and Brian made sure everything was absolutely beautiful and organized better than I could have imagined. The entire staff at the property was always so helpful and accommodating to our guests. We only had our reception at the Marriot, and we absolutely loved it! Elena is the wedding specialist at the hotel, and she is amazing at her job! She did everything to make our night perfect!! We stayed at the Marriott Friday night after rehearsal to get get ready there before the wedding Saturday, and it was so much fun! Having easy access to the beach(literally just walk outside), made for an incredible weekend and a great grande exit! We wer so pleased with everything Elena and the staff at the Marriot did for us!

We held my daughter's wedding at this venue and were extremely elated from start to finish. We had 85% of our guests coming from out of town & they were very accommodating to everyone!! Elena Padilla is the coordinator and is exceptional at her job!! I highly recommend this venue!!

My wedding is in March 2017 but I have had a great experience so far with the Courtyard. Elana is so wonderful to work with and helps me with every little thing I need. She is very quick to respond and walks me through everything. Very nice staff and hotel.

I highly recommend this hotel for a wedding/reception venue! Our big day wouldn't have been the same without the generous care and attention to detail provided by Elena and the entire staff!

I don't even know where to start with describing how wonderful my experience was with the team here. When we first booked this venue, we were working with another girl, Brittni. Somewhere in the middle of our planning, Elena took over and was absolutely amazing to work with. She continued to answer each and every email promptly and jam packed with ideas. Since we were planning our wedding as a destination wedding, I relied heavily on email throughout our planning experience. When we arrived to town for our wedding week, they even helped us unload my car full of wedding stuff. We were able to meet with the staff on Friday in the afternoon before the big day to go over the little details with them. However, on the day of, the ballroom looked even better than I could have imagined! They went above and beyond my wedding dreams to create the most perfect setting I could ever imagine for our reception. The team worked closely with my other vendors, helping to intercept deliveries as they arrived so I could relax with my bridal party and enjoy the day. Our ceremony on the beach was gorgeous, the cocktail hour on the pool deck was set up so nicely and it seemed our guests had a great time. The food is awesome here, unlike typical hotel entrees! We did plated dinners with potato encrusted grouper, marinated flank steak and the chicken tuscany. We also had them serve out late night appetizers of quesadillas on our dance floor, which guests really loved. I cannot thank the Courtyard staff enough!! I highly recommend this venue if you're looking for a professional, well organized team to help you plan out your perfect day!

The Courtyard is an amazing place to have your wedding!! They're a huge help and they make everything so beautiful!! A beach wedding is always beautiful but when you have a place like the courtyard to back you up and be there every step of the way is a huge help!! I will forever be thankful we had our wedding there and I will surely be recommending them to everyone!!

Michelle and I chose the Marriott for our wedding and reception. We were not disappointed at all. What an amazing value. Elena was phenomenal. Our wedding day went soooo smoothly. The day could not have gone more perfect. We wish we could have made the reception even longer because we did not want to stop partying. The Marriott staff as a whole was so kind and professional. Our stay was relaxing and comfortable. The Marriott allow us to accommodate our families and even was allowed to have a pizza party on the deck. We could not have been more satisfied and happy about our entire experience and our wedding day. Thank all of you at the Marriott for your hospitality and professionalism as well as all you had done to make our wedding day perfect and memorable.

Everything was more beautuful than we imagined! Brittni and Elena were very helpful and patient was us! The staff was so accommodating with last minute changes and helped to calm a very nervous bride!

The Kyla White/Taylor Bloyer wedding took place on the beach behind the Courtyard Marriott, Carolina Beach Oceanfront on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 5:30 pm. The entire event was magical—just like the fairy tales we used to read about. Kyla & Taylor and bridal party entourage were spectacular as they marched in on the sandy beach landscape with ocean back drop. The bride & groom stood underneath their beautiful white metal arbor with satin fabric blowing in the wind as they exchanged their vows and integrated their special unity sand ceremony. The Bride was radiantly beautiful!!

Cocktail hour took place on the dining deck and the couple’s Reception was hosted in the Courtyard Marriott, Cape Ballrooms. We were continually being told by our wedding guests, Marriott guests--onlookers, and a host of Marriott staff et al., how elegant and regal everything looked. Everyone had a great time as the evening events continued. All of the wedding décor and set up was exactly as I had planned it thanks to Brittni, Cory and their team. All of the services were exceptional, the staff was very gracious and cordial. The couple later danced to the music of love until an hour before the clock struck midnight with their friends and family. Everything was flawless.

Kyla Bloyer and I had the pleasure of working with Brittni Harding, Catering Sales Manager during Kyla’s one year engagement period. Brittni is professional and amazing in ways that I cannot begin to describe. She answered questions and addressed all of our concerns–-expedient follow-up. We highly recommend Brittni Harding with her incredible and efficient planning skills as well as Courtyard Marriott, Carolina Beach and Cape Ballroom (venues) for any future brides that may be contemplating planning a beach wedding. Divine Perfection!!!!

My husband and I chose to have our wedding reception at the Courtyard in Carolina Beach in October 2014 and knew that we would receive remarkable service for our event. We chose the Courtyard primarily for the services they offered and the comfort of knowing that if our dream beach wedding would have been rained out we were able to move the ceremony inside to the banquet rooms. Thankfully we did not have to and we were able to have our special day out on the beach, but the security in knowing that we could have moved was what sealed the deal for us. We worked with the Event planning staff specifically Brittni Harding. She was amazing to work with and helped us with every detail of not only our wedding, but especially the reception. That was another reason we chose the Courtyard, because we knew that their service was pretty much turn key. The only thing we had to worry about organizing was telling the venders we used for the chairs and arbor on the beach when and where to set up. Brittni took care of everything else. I would highly recommend this venue for not only the impeccable services we received and the special treatment for our special day, but also for the uniqueness of the location, and the beauty of the venue location.

The Courtyard by Marriott was the perfect location for our May wedding. Our ceremony was on the beach directly in front of the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful getting everyone lined up for that and making sure all of our guests knew where to go. Our cocktail hour was located on their patio which was a great setting. Reception was in the ballroom. Every decoration I had was set up in the right place, I can really tell they went above and beyond to ensure every detail was right. If something went wrong I wasn't made aware of it and couldn't tell either way. The staff was unbelievable! My husband and I had food served to us even though we chose the buffet option. Our drinks were always full. Britney was great to deal with in the planning process, she answered all 100 questions I had and was very helpful getting our room block together. The food was absolutely delicious!! Their chef is great and he was very helpful when we had to choose our menu at our tasting. Overall it was the perfect experience.

Brittni Drake and the rest of the staff at the Marriott made my wedding day absolutely perfect. They were helpful in ways that I wasn't expecting and I would not have had or done anything differently! If I could give a rating higher than 5 I most definitely would! It was perfect!

The Courtyard Marriott in Carolina Beach, NC was absolutely the best choice for our wedding. Brandy and Abby are by far the most organized, flexible and helpful people to work with. Them, along with the staff at the Marriott made our day wonderful, beautiful and smooth. They even had a togo plate sent to our room for after the reception. It was perfect. I am incredibly grateful...so is my husband! Without Brandy, I'm sure I would have been a total basketcase!

Our son got married at Courtyard Marriott Carolina Beach on October 7, 2017. We also had a rehearsal dinner on the dining deck on October 6, 2017. It was perfect.! Beyond what we could have asked for-Everything and I mean everything went so smooth. Nellie the sales manager and wedding planner was excellent. She handled everything and of course Brian was great too. Decorating, centerpieces, set up, servers everything. Both nights were picture perfect. Nicole in the office was so helpful with room bookings etc. Honestly I wish we could it all over again. The Chef was fabulous. The Chicken Tuscany was out of this world! Thank you to everyone who made their wedding (Sherman & Erica) so perfect. We thank you! Parents of the groom, Jere and Liz White

Brittni helped my fiance and I with envisioning and preparing for our upcoming wedding. She took the time to walk us through each part of the reception including set up, alternate plans and how she will orchestrate the reception to ensure that it will be smooth and problem free!

Brittni was awesome to work with! She was very nice and organized, helped make the day so much smoother. Brittni was very willing to adapt with moving cocktail hour inside due to rain. The Marriott was very beautiful and very clean inside and out. I was beyond speechless at how delicate Brittni was with my details- I have to say I am very particular and quite frankly a perfectionist. I was very worried that the my attention to detail would be overlooked but I was astonished at how amazing Brittni took even the littlest details to mind. She did a fantastic job with everything from guiding the ceremony smoothly (we were running a little late- she did not rush us or make us feel pushed down the aisle), she moved cocktail hour inside due to the chance of rain (which I appreciated not having to worry), her team was very professional and I felt as if all the important decision that go unnoticed were taken care which was nice not having to worry about.

My family and husbands family lives in Maryland but my parents own a beach house in Kure Beach- so it was very difficult to complete all our task 400 miles away but Brittni did a fantastic job working around it. The only thing I would complain about was parking- the parking at the Marriott is for Hotel guest only and wedding guest were required to park in gravel area in front of Marriott but we did not know until rehearsal that the parking lot was owned by the county- which means they charge to park until 7 pm (it was only a few dollars but still very annoying when you pay all the money to have a wedding there)

The staff we worked with for our event were great! I was disappointed by the amount of wear and tear on the rooms. The sliding doors were foggy so hard to see the view clearly, my closet door would not shut, several rooms had large stain spots on the floor. The people from planning to service were amazing. Based on that, I would recommend this Marriott.

The staff at Courtyard did an EXCELLENT job helping me with my wedding reception, and the food there was GREAT!!!!! I loved how even though I was nervous and indecisive from time to time they did their best to reassure me that it was MY wedding, and that they would accommodate me any way they could.

Have been working with Brittni and she has been great. Even as she was preparing for her vacation, she ensured that we got all the information that we needed to select our reception location. Great property, location and amenities.

We used this venue for our wedding and it was gorgeous! The hotel is very modern and looks great inside and out. Elena Padilla was our day of coordinator and she was wonderful! Very helpful and kind, easy to get ahold of, and most of all she helped make sure things ran smoothly on the big day! I'm very happy with the hotel, the coordinator, and how everything turned out! The only concern I will mention is to watch your bill, as great as everything was the groom's father was over charged an extra $279 after the wedding for the bar that we had already paid for in advance. Aside from the hiccup with the billing, everything else was good!

Overall great experience. We were very happy with our decision to have our wedding at Courtyard by Marriot.
One minor issue was though there was plenty of beer, not enough was kept cold thus causing some guests to drink some less than cold beverages later in the evening.

I cannot say enough about the Courtyard. The staff was wonderful to work with and they made our wedding day beautiful and stress free! The staff set up all of my decorations just as I wanted. I was planning on having family help with decorating but the hotel took care of everything. I worked with Brittni and she was incredibly detailed oriented. She left no stone unturned. Just as my husband and I were going to the buffet for dinner, Brittni was there with our food so we didn't have to get up.

When we first began planning our wedding we were concerned about the food. You never know if the food will be good when a hotel is catering. When we went for the food tasting we no longer had concerns, the food was delicious. We choose the chicken and mahi and both were outstanding. Our guests even commented on how good the food was.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience! We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone getting married.

I had a great overall experience working with Nellie and the team at Courtyard by Marriott at Carolina Beach. Nellie was a pleasure to work with and did an excellent job in assisting the other vendors we booked for our special day. Kudos to all of the Staff's hard work!

For the most part, everything went wonderfully - Nellie was my primary point of contact up until the big day and although we had some communication difficulties at times, when we did communicate she was always beyond accommodating. I was a little disappointed that they no longer offer the fabric swag seen in the picture which I had initially stated that I wanted but, in return, my Chinese paper lanterns were hung for free and we used that $500 to add chair covers with sashes which I think made a big difference in how our reception looked.

The renovated hotel is absolutely beautiful and I heard nothing but wonderful things from the guests who stayed at the hotel. Everything went so smoothly without me having to worry too much the day-of. Brian was our primary contact the day of and he was very well-prepared for everything we would need prior to, during, and after the wedding. All of my guests had a wonderful time and I heard great things about the food (I didn't really have time to partake and definitely recommend to any newlyweds that they EAT at their reception).

I only had a couple of concerns - one is that I did not want alcohol at my wedding so, in return, I wanted to offer unlimited amounts of the other beverages we had to pay for (canned sodas, lemonade, and punch) since sweet tea and water were included with the plated meals. It seems as though none of these other options were offered. This didn't end up being a big deal as most of the guests I asked about it didn't even notice and many others were more interested in going to the bistro to pay for alcoholic beverages. (And, at the end of the day, we ended up paying less for them not being offered). The other issue I had was with our room the night of (we loved that it was complimentary and that our belongings were wheeled to it while we got married) but there was some miscommunication since our names weren't on the room and we spent 20 minutes or so trying to get that figured out on our wedding night.

My wedding event was a big hit! The food for the brunch was wonderful.The staff was amazing and extra helpful and accommodating. Brittni the event planner was quick with answering any questions and always there with a response. Corie the event coordinator for the event was great. From beginning to end she met all our needs to help make my wedding day very special!

The hotel was a great place for our wedding! Brittni Drake was absolutely wonderful to work with and was so patient with us the months before our wedding. She always took the time to answer our questions and meet with us when we came in from out of town. The ballroom looked amazing and everyone that stayed at the hotel thought it was great. It was a little pricey overall but we loved it! The food by the chef was also fantastic and everyone talked about how good it was! I wish the staff setting up the ballroom would have been a little more on top of things and they did not get started until late in the day, which had us a little worried but it turned out great. We love staying there and plan to stay there again in the future.

We stayed at Carolina Beach Marriott in April and had our wedding there with 100 people! It was so nice!! The Marriott took care of everything! Food, drinks, clean up, set up, etc! It made it so easy to just relax and get married!! Our chef Elwood was AMAZING!!! Some of the best food that we have tasted!!! Definitely recommend the flake steak!! Our bartender Kyle was hilarious and was the talk of the night by our guests!! I will say the sales manger changed half way through planning our wedding. It was first Taylor and then it switched to Loralei! Taylor was amazing!! She went out of her way to make us feel special, did those personal extra touches, and was just extremely personal. Loralei is all business. She will get the job but is not going to go out of her way to do anything special or help you out at all. Taylor was going to do our uplighting for us at no extra cost and was working with us with certain appetizers. Taylor gave me her cell phone number and just really went over and beyond to try and help us. Lorelei was going to charge us for up lighting, wouldn’t work with us in bringing in apps, wasn’t going to give us our Marriott points (until I asked multiple times) and just was very snappy about certain things. Overall, the Marriott is great. Most of the staff are great and if you are looking for a beach one stop shop wedding I would recommend the marriott. Literally the best day of our lives!!!

My wedding was held here on 5/8/22 (a Sunday).

I will start with the pros:
-delicious hors d’oeuvres and meal
-customization of dinner menu
-spacious reception area
-very nice guy that said he had done tons of weddings (I think his name was Johnny, I could be wrong). He was a huge help.
-they provide a room there for your honeymoon night

Cons:
-they do not provide an area to get ready in, so I would suggest purchasing a room the day before. (additional price)
-they do not provide parking for guests, and my wedding was held the same weekend of a Children’s soccer tournament booked through the Marriott (but they didn’t tell me until a couple days before my wedding), so I had some guests have to pay $35+ to park .5 miles or more away.
-the director of sales for events changed several times within the one year I worked with them, and the communication was poor because of this.
-I made my payments months in advance to ensure I wouldn’t be bombarded with fees/bills the day of my wedding. The morning after my wedding I had pending charges for sodas (fine), the room I booked (fine), and a random $680. I went back to the hotel and spoke with a manager who advised he didn’t know why that was there but that it should go away.
-I never met the two ladies I had emailed with (Kim and MacKenzie) until i went back for the $680 charge on my card and Kim introduced herself.
-MacKenzie emailed me requesting “payments” several times. Luckily, I am organized, so I would forward the confirmation from where I had already completed the payment. (Be organized with receipts and emails if you book here).
-I was told after booking that there would be an additional 28% fee for taxes and gratuity. For example, you spend $10,000, you will be paying an additional $2,800 in fees alone.
-I chose to pay for sodas per can after the reception. They sent an email the morning following my wedding advising 80 sodas had been consumed for my 60 guests (which is extremely difficult for me to wrap my head around) considering we had a 2-home reception (very short) and most had lemonade or water. None the less, I was charged $3 a can, plus the 28% taxes/gratuity on this as well. Additionally, they charged a card I had on file, without confirming this with me, and I would have put it on a different one.

Long story short, this is a lovely venue; however, I want to make everyone aware of the numerous additional charges after booking because they are not transparent about this.

The told me that I could make payments because I couldn't pay the full because I had to add something because we didn't have that many people at the wedding but ever since the next week from my wedding they been taking money out of my account the put me at 00.00 in my account and they just took the only thing out of my account because I needed to ask family for help with gas for me and my husband they took all my money again I do not recommend them they will just take all your money
