I have to start by saying that Courtney truly captured the details and spontaneity of our wedding adventure. She made the process so incredibly easy and definitely played a huge role in reducing the anticipated wedding kerfuffle. Jimmy and I knew early on that we wanted to do an elopement adventure because we wanted to focus on celebrating our love for each other and avoid letting all of the planning details, guest opinions…party favors, food, speeches, toasts, etc…subtract from the primary focus of a wedding – the bride and the groom. Our wedding date and guest list plans changed a few times…because there’s always got to be a little bit of wedding drama…and Courtney was incredibly accommodating from the start. I found Courtney’s website almost two years in advance while starting the research process to determine what all we needed to do. Upon reading EVERYTHING on her website, I found this little gem "I solemnly swear I am up to no good” under the “meet me” section of the website and was captivated. Jimmy was reading over my shoulder and said that she was the best fit for us.
We emailed her and the process was so seamless. She provided a DETAILED AND BEAUTIFUL wedding guide about what to consider when planning our special day. I value someone who’s thorough and clear, especially when it comes to such an important event, and Courtney truly goes above and beyond. Once we answered a questionnaire, she was able to propose how to best tackle everything we wanted on our wedding day, including the destination, order of events, stunning waterfall and mountain hike, as well as, s'mores around a campfire and lightsaber duel to wind down the evening. I wasn’t sure where to start concerning wedding flowers, hair, or makeup. And here comes Courtney to save the day. She was ready to help me with whatever planning details we needed assistance with. As we didn’t live on the west coast, we needed recommendations for local florists and hairstylists, which she readily provided.
Now let's jump to the final result. The photos have exceeded my expectations, not only based on the sheer volume for us to peruse, but I honestly cannot believe we have such a variety of backdrops, closeups, and facial expressions to enjoy. I've seen so many wedding photo albums that seemed stiff but THESE ARE MAGICAL!
Courtney Lynn’s photos are incredible to say the least. My husband and I are unable to pick our favorite one because there are so many that we love. Jimmy really loves the ones with us running up and down the road. And I'm captivated by the walks through the woods, kisses in front of the lake and mountains, Jimmy getting ready before the ceremony, smore's time, the lightsaber duel...all the rest... -

Courtney really helped us take our dream elopement and make it a reality. Our photo gallery looked like a fairy tale to others but to us it was like reliving our magical day all over again. I couldn’t recommend Courtney enough to anyone who not only wants their dream adventure wedding and remember the magic of that day! -

Personable, talented and devoted
Courtney’s work and dedication to her couples starts months prior to the event. She worked closely with us prior to our elopement to help narrow down location, accommodation and hiking recommendations which were slightly more limited with an infant. She helped tailor our small ceremony with finding an officiant and orchestrating our marriage license on short notice. She even created our timeline to accommodate all of our goals for the day. On the day of our elopement she was punctual and professional - she felt part of the family right from the beginning. She suggested positions to capture some of the most stunning scenery and surroundings. The sneak peak was perfectly stunning and the professional album was more than we could have ever asked for. Courtney is talented and she cares about her clients. Her dedication shines through her work! -

When we decided we wanted to elope, we had an idea of what we wanted, but we didn't know where to begin. After doing some research, we came across Courtney's website and decided to reach out to her.
From start to finish, she made the entire process easy. She helped us seek out the best location for what we were looking for, helped us plan out a timeline for our day, made many helpful suggestions and also provided backup plans in case our initial locations fell through. She hiked all day with us! Even got soaked under a waterfall with us!
She made us feel so comfortable, we aren't the most comfortable with pictures but we felt natural and the photos came out amazing!! The entire gallery was better than we could have imagined. She captured the entirety of our special day, a perfect balance of plenty of gorgeous scenery and us just enjoying our day. We are so thankful to have had Courtney come along and capture our elopement, we now have beautiful photos to look back on whenever we want to relive our perfect day.

Courtney is just the absolute best! She made us feel comfortable from our very first phone call, was easy to talk to, answered all of our questions, had many local recommendations, and was so easy to work with for 2 people who had no idea how to "pose" or "not pose" for pictures! She kept everything very natural, and all of our photos turned out exactly like we had hoped and imagined - full of amazing scenery, with us looking very much like ourselves, our style. She had excellent suggestions for places to elope near where we wanted to be, listened and adjusted to any changes we proposed or suggested, and we loved all of the info she includes with her services to help us stay on schedule, and check-off as we planned with her! If you are needing an elopement/adventure wedding photographer, Courtney is your girl!! We had so much fun with her, and our pictures all turned out remarkable! -

Courtney did such an amazing job with our elopement in Arches National Park! She helped us narrow down a ceremony location and gave us lots of helpful tips and prompts when taking our pictures. She did an amazing job of putting us in locations that gave us some stunning photos, while still allowing us to make our wedding day just about us.

The best experience
Courtney was absolutely the best for our elopement!! From the first call, she was so open about the process, and gave us tons of helpful advice on locations, the process, and overall made us feel like the whole day was about our love story. The day of our elopement, she was so relaxed and fun to be around. I feel like she captured our true emotions, and delivered some of the most beautiful shots. Neither one of us are camera lovers, but she captured our best sides. We’re so thankful to have found her, and have photos that will last a lifetime!! -

Courtney helped reassure us that everything would work out even if we would have had to reschedule! Courtney’s guide was VERY helpful! Everything from finding a place to stay/what to wear to how to explain to people “why” you’re eloping!
Some challenges we faced or unknowns as we decided to elope were mainly the Covid protocols/shutdowns/regulations! I had to book everything super in advance because I was unsure if certain things would still be open. At the time, the park lodging was shut down so we had to look at AirBnb’s/VRBO outside of the park! About a week before our elopement the government was thinking about shutting down. That made us super nervous because then the national park we were going to would have been closed! We also dealt with family not necessarily understanding why we were eloping. We had trouble explaining in words as to “why” we were eloping but Courtney’s guide helped us formulate responses!
The experience was unforgettable! Courtney was very helpful and guided us where we needed to go within the park! She was very knowledgeable and helped us with our “awkwardness” when taking photos! She was very laid back but in a good/productive way! She makes you feel very comfortable!
She helped us get permits that I had no idea we had to have! She also was able to be flexible with the schedule. We had a hiccup by getting lost on our route to where we were supposed to meet her but we made it work! Her reassurance helped us make up for the time we lost when we were lost on our way there!

Top-notch adventure elopement photographer
If you’re thinking of an elopement style wedding in the outdoors, you should hire Courtney. Our wedding experience was absolutely incredible and Courtney was helpful every step of the way from the initial planning session all the way through the execution and delivering of the photos.
When we first started planning our wedding, the only thing we had was a rough idea of a Glacier National Park wedding with limited people. Courtney filled in all our gaps and answered any of our questions about the process, providing us lists of options for locations, activities, and supporting our changing plans as we involved more of our family in the process. This ultimately expanded our 1-day wedding into a 2-day overnight camping trip at Two Medicine Lake. Other photographers may not be as familiar with the elopement process for National Parks, but Courtney was on top of all the requirements and permits necessary to make our special day go off without a hitch.
The day(s) of the wedding, Courtney was on the ball 24/7 and fully attentive to making our day special. Along the drive through Going to the Sun Road, Courtney was extremely knowledgeable about the best locations for views, photos, and a short hike with just ourselves to escape our wedding party for a short period during the day. Our day was simply one-of-a-kind, and we owe a lot of it to Courtney and the planning process that led up to the day itself.
We’ve gotten endless compliments on our wedding photos. They’re a perfect blend of stunning mountain imagery, close-ups of sweet moments, and shots of us laughing our butts off. Her style is exactly what we were looking for, which captures the genuine nature of who we are alongside our closest family and friends. Courtney’s photos are extremely high quality and we’ve even blown up a few of the high-definition copies she provided to display on our walls.

Courtney was so amazing to work with! When we decided to elope, we were not exactly sure how to make it all fit together but she made the whole process flawless and stress free. From helping us find amazing locations and great vendors we could not have been happier. The day of was perfect! She made the whole day super fun and enjoyable, she captured some of the most amazing pictures in one of our favorite states and we cannot recommend her enough! Courtney was awesome! Top notch elopement photographer with a fun, easy-going, adventurous spirit.
We knew we wanted to do an elopement hike in Colorado, but didn’t know where to start beyond that. Courtney helped easily break it down in an approachable way. She has a method to simplify the planning process including a kick-off call and a detailed questionnaire. After we picked an Airbnb, she provided a list of potential hikes of varying length and difficulty in the area.
On the actual day of our wedding, she met us at our Airbnb (in the middle of nowhere), helped us pick and arrange a bouquet of wildflowers, took some fun photos of our cat (she is a true animal person, with several fur babies of her own) and was willing to improvise/go with the flow as we spontaneously changed our agenda to stop at a brewery on the way to our hike! She takes a natural approach to telling a couple’s story (in other words, she took mostly candid photos, as opposed to staged shots). Also, we loved her ability to capture our wedding against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.
Overall, I’d recommend doing an adventure-style elopement and would definitely recommend Courtney to photograph your special day!Courtney Lynn Photography's reply:

Courtney has a very warm and bubbly personality that shows through her work! She made my husband and I feel SO comfortable throughout the whole day.
We were very confused on how to start planning our adventure and she was there to answer a lot of our questions in the beginning and honestly with a very short time frame! We planned and got married in 6 weeks, because we knew we really wanted her there for our day and that is what she had available! It was a challenge well accepted for all three of us.
Our day was perfect. She captured our true essence of love and laughter and each photo shows it. There weren't very many set up photos unless we asked for them. She just gets you in the moment!
You can absolutely tell that Courtney loves what she does and wants your day to be perfect. She listens to you and really tries to understand you as a couple first and then uses that within her photography skills.

Highly recommend! We eloped with 14 of our closest family and friends to Glacier National Park in May 2021, and the pictures are beautiful! I’ve received soooo many compliments regarding the quality and quantity. I originally found Courtney on Pinterest and quickly emailed her. She was swift to respond and very thorough with how to get the elopement process started. She answered all my questions, no matter how silly I thought they were, and she was very informative about how to get a wedding permit for Glacier. She helped make my wedding day run as smoothly as possible considering it was raining/ snowing. She isn’t afraid to tell everyone involved exactly what to do and when to do it which is what I needed. She was easy to work with and be around. Also, she used to be a cosmetologist (hair stylist) in case anyone needs a little help 😉. When my now husband and I started planning our elopement, we were confused to the max. We didn’t know where to start or how to go about planning anything. We knew we wanted to get married in Ireland, but had too many options on exactly where. After doing some research of elopements on the interwebs, I was scrolling on Pinterest and came across some BEAUTIFUL photos taken of an elopement in Ireland. Those moments were captured by, yep you guessed it, Courtney!
The website and Courtney herself made the process so easy. She is organized, professional, sweet, and so so funny!! Courtney does more than just photograph your day, she cares about you having the BEST day! She helped us plan EVERYTHING! Even down to the little details, like what type of shoes to wear! She helped us narrow down where, giving us her informative opinions on each of our options! She gave us cool ideas that we could incorporate into our special day. No idea was too big! So when the day came, we had the absolute best time exploring and getting married at the Gap of Dunloe!! After we exchanged our vows, we went to celebrate at a local pub (Courtney’s idea ;) ). It was a blast!!
Our elopement was an absolute DREAM COME TRUE! And I will never be able to thank Courtney enough for making it happen. So for anyone on the fence, swaying back and forth about whether or not work with Courtney on your big day, SWAY NO MORE! You’ve found your person!! My day couldn’t have been any better and my pictures are beautiful and capture the fun we had!!! I can’t wait to work with her again!

We are SO happy we decided to go with Courtney for our wedding photos! Originally we were supposed to elope in Italy (we are from the US), and she helped a TON with planning things like travel and what our day was going to look like. Then the pandemic hit and we realized we probably weren't going to be able to go to Italy. Since she was coming to the US for awhile, I suggested we possibly change our elopement location/date to Glacier NP, and she was all for it! She made it super easy and stress free, and helped plan what our new day in Glacier was going to look like!
Courtney was super easy to spend the entire day with, very friendly and fun to talk to! Even though our day didn't go exactly how we planned due to the weather, we all just went with the flow of it and it still turned out to be an amazing day! If you're in doubt, just hire her!!
