Absolutely incredible venue! From the first time I walked into the ballroom at CCS I was floored and new it was going to be the place to have our wedding. Rafael was amazing and went above and beyond to help make our day so special and was extremely patient will all the questions we had! The ballroom just got freshly painted and the bar redone which was a nice surprise ahead of our venue. The outdoor patio and yard was perfect for happy hour and we even rented the villa behind the ballroom to get ready in the morning! Our wedding was the best day ever which was made possible because of CCS! -

We held our wedding reception at The Country Club of the South, and it was truly everything we dreamed of and more. Since we had our ceremony at a separate church, it was a bit challenging to coordinate everything logistically—but thanks to Andreja and her incredible team, the transition was seamless.
Andreja was such a joy to work with. She helped ease the stress of planning and made sure every detail was just right. The ballroom space was absolutely stunning—elegant, warm, and perfect for celebrating with our loved ones. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting.
The entire staff was incredibly accommodating and attentive. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to ensure our special day ran smoothly. We are so grateful for their professionalism and genuine care.
If you’re looking for a breathtaking reception venue with exceptional service, we wholeheartedly recommend The Country Club of the South. They truly made our celebration unforgettable. -

Rafael Mendoza and the amazing staff at CCS made our wedding reception something beyond our dreams!
From day one, Rafael was attentive to any questions we had and always offered any suggestions for details we had never even thought of. He has always gone out of his way to make us feel like his number one priority.
The venue is gorgeous and provides several different backdrops for beautiful photos; Rafael personally escorted us and our photographers around the course for wonderful scenery of all sorts. My husband had gifted me a tennis bracelet that I had lost during these photos, and once he was notified, Rafael immediately worked to locate the bracelet and had it back on my wrist before dinner was served!
Dinner was perfect, and Rafael went the extra mile to accommodate all of our guests and their dietary restrictions - including but not limited to providing a special request meal for a child with special needs.
We could not recommend Rafael and the Country Club of the South more to any couple looking for a wedding venue! -

Booking the Country Club of the South was our first and hardest decision for our wedding! We toured so many venues prior to seeing the Country Club of the South! When we saw it for the first time, we instantly fell in love! It was incredibly beautiful, spacious, and overlooked a gorgeous golf course! Rafael was our guide through the entire process all the way up through the wedding! He helped us choose the menu, the bar options, the table settings, and the ceremony setup! Everything came together so beautifully!!! Having an open bar is definitely the way to go for a wedding and the food was INCREDIBLE! I felt like I was at an upscale steakhouse! Rafael really went above and beyond for us for our special day and even added in a beautiful surprise that really completed our dream wedding image! I could not recommend the Country Club of the South, Rafael, and the staff enough! It was perfect! -

Britney was an awesome event coordinator. She always responded to emails promptly and accommodating! She moved our wedding outdoors last minute when we knew the plan was indoor due to rain predictions. It’s also a beautiful venue with awesome staff and good. -

We had our reception here in July and I can’t recommend it enough. Great location, beautiful ballroom area, outside patio area and beautiful golf course, plenty of parking, beautiful view of the 18th hole...we loved it. Britney is absolutely amazing and was so helpful the entire way through. Anything I needed or altered, she was quick to respond and helpful to make it happen. Every last detail was done to total perfection. The food was delicious, the decor was exactly what I pictured, and the staff was helpful and courteous. They also work with a lot of great vendors that they recommend to you to take the stress out of finding your own! I can't recommend them enough. -

Best wedding reception ever
We did not want the night to end!! Rafael and his team were absolutely amazing. They made the planning process so easy and fun and went above and beyond to make our reception so beautiful and elegant! The food was delicious, and the service was fabulous. I cannot recommend them enough. My bridesmaids and I also loved staying in the Villa the night before. We used almost all of the Club’s preferred vendors, and they did not disappoint. Rafael is truly so caring and went above and beyond for us. I HIGHLY recommend Country Club of the South!! They’ll make all of your wedding dreams come true. -

The Most Magical Day!
From start to finish, the Country Club of the South was amazing! They made the day my dream come true. Rafael was completely attuned to what we needed and wanted and made it happen....he was flexible and helped us with little detail! On the day of the wedding, he was encouraging and present throughout everything. The servers were great and professional. The food was amazing. Whenever little bumps in the road hit (which we all know weddings will have), Rafael was there to help iron it all out for us. It was a beautiful venue and I felt very confident in the service and staff we had. The coordination between vendors was amazing...it was great! Thank you to Country Club of the South and to Rafael for helping make this day so incredibly special! -

Country Club of the South was the perfect location for our September wedding. Britney and the entire service team were incredible. Britney answered all of my questions, and sometimes the same question asked repeatedly. She helped me understand what to expect and when. I also appreciated that whenever she said no (which was not often) she explained why and offered an alternative. We had the dreamiest night ever. I also loved that Britney worked so well with my month of coordinator and all of my vendors. I knew that our big day was in good hands and that we had a team of professionals. I will recommend CCOS to any bride looking for a turn key location. -

I kept a relationship with Rafael the entire time since signing our contract. Rafael is a coordinator that really communicates with you. He is sooooo nice, very transparent and helpful. Rafael and his team were great! They helped my wife and I consider all the possibilities for our big day . Rafael was also very understanding of any special needs we needed for some of our guest and made it happen. He was very professional through out the process and huge help on the ceremony day, with working with our wedding planner and making sure we stayed on scheduled. All of the staff was courteous and professional and willingly to help and go over beyond the service to make sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend considering this venue for your wedding. -

Choosing CC of the South and Britney was one of the best decisions we made! The communication between Britney and I was flawless. I booked another venue for my ceremony and I can tell the difference. Britney and the team at CC care about you and delivers a phenomenal experience. I am a happy 2021 bride! From the food to the service, the value and quantity cannot be beaten here! We had an open bar and AYCE seafood buffet. It was well worth it! People will remember my wedding forever! -

We had our daughter's wedding at the Country Club of the South and had a fantastic experience. The venue has a big ballroom that was going to be able to handle our 175 guests (but because of Covid we only had about 115 attend). Britney and the Club were flexible and happy to adjust the numbers as we got closer to the date. The Club provided the things we needed (table coverings, china, chairs, dance floor, etc.) so we didn't have to worry about those details. We arranged the "big" vendors like DJ and dessert (rolled icecream instead of a cake) and Britney handled the day-of coordination so we didn't have to worry about a thing. There is a Villa (5 big bedrooms and plenty of space) on the property that we rented and provided to our daughter and Bridesmaids Friday/Saturday night. It was SO nice to have them housed at the venue without driving anywhere. Britney's long-time experience gave us great guidance and confidence during the planning period that everything was going to be fine. She was well organized; she and her staff were very polite and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better experience for a wedding. It was a FABULOUS weekend! Thank you Britney and Country Club of the South! -

Britney at Country Club of the South made all my wedding dreams come true! She paid attention to details and made the wedding day run flawlessly. She even dressed to the wedding theme in her black and white polka dot top. So cute! Most brides say you won’t have time to eat or drink at your wedding. Well, they were wrong! Britney made sure my groom and I were fed and we always had our drink of choice in hand. The ballroom was speculator with several windows and the glow lighting made the evening truly feel like it was out of a fairy tale. To all the future brides, Country Club of the South will go above and beyond to give you the wedding of your dreams. Actually, it was even better than any dream I’ve ever had thanks to Britney and all staff at Country Club of the South. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! -

My husband and I had the most amazing wedding on 2/29/2020. We could have not picked a better venue. Rafael and Britney where super helpful from the very beginning. The beauty of the venue was amazing but what I really loved was that the venue was "a la cart" which allowed me to create the food stations I had dreamed of and a timeline of my choosing instead of having to start/end my wedding at a set time. Rafael was so helpful and suggested food options based on my budget. The food was amazing and my guests were very pleased. Also, the villa on the property was super convenient. My bridesmaids and I stayed in the villa Friday and had a stress free Saturday being so close to the venue. Also, I was able to go into the venue and set up any decor I wanted through out the entire day. Rafael made sure my day went very smoothly and everything was on time. We could not have picked a better venue and it was the best day of our lives. I highly recommend Country Club of the South. -

Rafael worked tirelessly to make sure we had every detail taken care of well in advance so we didn't have to worry about much of anything on the day of! LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT- w/Country Club of the South! Rafael Rocked!
We were so pleased with Country Club of the South & Rafael Mendoza who helped us every step of the way! The venue allowed for rain or shine- offered vendor suggestions- but we seamlessly used our own! We had a taste testing so our dinner buffet was delicious- & we got the leftovers! They allowed us to arrive early- do make-up & hair (Jackie OHair) in the lovely ladies lounge- the guys loved the swanky man-cave! Photo opps (John Zincone did an expert job) were plentiful & the stacked stoned backdrop of the club & the lush golf course were perfect! Our wedding was 120 guests & the servers & bartenders (I esp remember Andrea) were superb & added celebration to the night! I loved that we hired a fantastic florist- (Main Street Blooms- Buford GA) and Keily did most of the decor! We simply brought a card box, printed seating chart & guest sign in book- everything else was provided! How easy and let us relax and enjoy the wedding! DJ Dre set up a booming sound system & the dance floor was perfect in the far corner! Restrooms were convenient for all ages- I really wouldn't have changed a thing! I was honestly so pleased at the price as well! Guests said it was magical -everyone was so happy & beautiful! We used a set up of 8 at a round table- perfect for mingling. We had a nice night so guests could go outside on the patio & enjoy fresh air & a heater if needed. Rafael was everywhere- making sure the night ran smoothly with the finale of provided sparklers at the end!! I love Country Club of the South- it was a year of planning- but my son in law, Vaughn- couldn't have found a better place! I highly recommend Country Club of the South for any event! My husbands only request was that our wedding was at a golf course, but he also fell in love with the venue. Britney went above & beyond for us and made the wedding day run so smooth. Our daughter Amber was married at the Country Club of the South and what a wedding it was! From our first visit, Amber and Joseph knew that they had found the perfect venue. A classically beautiful site with a fabulous ballroom, a gorgeous view of the golf course, and a charming villa on site. The open floor plan, tall glass windows, and tall ceilings highlighted the beauty of the natural surroundings and provided a great ambiance. Since we were planning a wedding with Amber and Joseph out of state (she is a Vanderbilt graduate student), we knew we needed to have a coordinator that was a great communicator, detail oriented, and responsive.
Britney Milam was that person. Britney was willing and available to answer my various emails and her responses were perspicuous. She presented options, succinctly asked questions, and responded with an assurance throughout the planning process that our plan would be executed. Britney is certainly gifted in her position and an asset to the Country Club of the South. The seamless execution of the timeline and meal service was perfect! I must add that the bar and wait staff were wonderful. The plated dinners were served expeditiously and the drinks were “on fire”.
We must also provide a special thanks to Don White who went above and beyond to ensure the groom and the groomsmen were well cared for. Don was attentive to every one of our needs and provided the most relaxing space for the groomsmen as they prepared for Amber and Joseph’s special day.
We did take advantage of booking the Bridal Villa for 2 days which was one of the many great features of the venue. I would highly recommend doing so for your wedding.
We are extremely thankful for the guest experience and having Amber and Joseph’s vision achieved. Thank you to Britney Milam and the entire CCS staff for a wonderful wedding experience.

Gretel Sent on 08/02/2018Having our wedding reception at CCS was a dream come true! We couldn't have picked a better venue and group of people to work with. The ballroom alone is absolutely gorgeous. It has an open floor plan, tall ceilings, and tall glass windows which allowed plenty of beautiful, natural light in. Our reception turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Britney Milam and the rest of the staff were PHENOMENAL! Britney was very approachable, detail oriented, responsive, patient, and reliable! She answered my thousands of questions honestly and in a timely manner. I cannot say enough good things about her. She thought about every detail and had an "I'll take care of it" attitude throughout the planning process. She is such a blessing and is fantastic at her job!
Another thing I liked about CCS is the minimum isn't just for food and beverage. Anything we wanted to add to the package, except for the villa, went towards the minimum, so there wasn't a lot of pressure to add on extra food and drinks or meet the estimated guest count.
The food was DELICIOUS! We served hot hors d'oeuvres (chicken spring rolls, lamb chops, bacon wrapped scallops, and a veggie quesadilla). The lamb was so tender and fell off the bone. We also decided to have a plated dinner and served grouper, chicken, and sweet potato ravioli (for our vegetarian option). All entrees came with a salad, a starch (parmesan risotto) and a veggie (asparagus). Since I am more of a donut person than cake, we opted for a donut tower. I provided the tower and Britney did the rest. The donut tower was a mix of glazed Krispy Kreme (my fave!) and vanilla glazed DD donuts. We also went with a 4-hour open bar, and added an additional 30 minutes once the party got going. We still remained within our minimum. The guests raved (and still rave) about cocktail hour food, dinner, dessert, and bar service! Let me just say that the bartenders did not serve weak drinks. Our guests were very happy. Everything went smoothly! -

Janet Sent on 05/22/2018I will sing the praise of Country Club of the South to the rooftop. Britney Milam was my onsite coordinator and she was absolutely awesome. She was prompt with answering emails and she guided me through creating a timeline and guided me throughout the evening. The staff was phenomenal. The first reason to choose this venue is because you have the venue all day!!!!! You don't have to worry about a wedding being ahead or behind you so there is no rush and pressure as far a timing. Another reason to select this venue is that the food tasting allows 4 people instead of only 2 allowed by other venues. They can accommodate their menu to fit your needs and the food was great. I still hear from my guests how awesome the food was at the Country Club. Another thing I would recommend which I did not get the chance to take advantage of is renting the villa for your wedding party to get ready. I was only able to rent it for 1 day instead of the 2 days I wanted for my wedding. -

We got married in front of the huge stone fireplace and then had our reception down in the dining room. All my guests raved about what a great time they had. I even came in slightly under budget, what a bonus! -

BEST night ever
After having to postpone my daughter’s wedding after contracting COVID the Monday prior, we were able to CELEBRATE at a later date. Rafael and the CCS team were extremely professional in coordinating the new event. The venue, food and staff were exceptional. I would 100% having a wedding at CCoS. From the ceremony to the reception everywith went amazing. I provided Rafael with a timeline and he and his team executed it amazingly. They took all my stress away and made myself and my husband feel relaxed and we didn't have to worry about a single detail. All of our guests complimented the beauty of the venue and the excellent food. Our family used the villa next door which was very useful to have as a home base. It was also very quick and easy for our guests to get ride share to and from the wedding. Thank you to the whole team for working with us and giving us memories that will last a life time.
