I had such a great experience with cotton candy baking company! Megan was responsive, easy, and nonstressful! Her cupcakes are to DIE FOR! We got vanilla, sweet and salty, and the oreo cupcakes. There was an actual oreo at the bottom of the cupcake!! We got a free freezer cake for our anniversay. Megan was in and out in such a brief time which was great to know she did her job without me noticing! I cannot say anything negative about her. HIGHLY recommend!

Seriously THE BEST CUPCAKES around. We didn't want anything about our wedding to be average and we Cotton Candy definitely helped us achieve our goal! Not your typical cupcakes. Everybody is still raving about how delicious they were. Our cake was beautiful and Megan does an amazing job. Megan was easy to work. Can't wait until we get to taste them again!

Cotton Candy Banking Company gave us everything we wanted! I asked for our small cake for the cake cutting to be covered in sprinkles since I love sprinkles and they did it with no problem! The cupcakes and cake tasted amazing and looked beautiful!

I was referred to Megan by my photographer and I am so happy we went with her! She has been great to work with since day one. She is very responsive and made sure my wedding cupcake display would be set up exactly how I wanted it. All of my guests have not stopped raving over how delicious the cupcakes were. My husband and I are now counting down the days until our first anniversary so we can indulge in the deliciousness again :) I highly recommend Cotton Candy Baking Co.

We recently had our wedding in Hatteras (during a tropical storm) -with a change of venue and Megan far exceeded our expectations! The cupcakes were delicious and she was very easy to work and communicate with. I would definitely recommend using this company for any event!

He first thing I did after picking the date for our wedding was to book Cotton Candy Baking Company. I had had the cupcakes before (triple ginger lemon!!) and knew I had to have them at my wedding. They were very easy to work with and the end result was exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend booking Cotton Candy Baking Company for your own event!!

Choosing Cotton Candy was definitely one of the easiest decisions we were able to make for our wedding. Really all we had to do was taste Megan's samples and we were sold. Planning a destination wedding had some extra work involved but working with Megan could not have been easier. I would highly recommend Cotton Candy to anybody looking for a dessert option that has your guests still talking about it almost 2 months after the wedding!

Wonderful to work with - fast and easy communication. So many options to choose from, and all are delicious. She also works with you to help create what you want the cupcake table to look like by letting you choose colors. etc. for the wrappers. Everything turned out beautifully and our guests LOVED the cupcakes, we loved being able to cut the top tier, and cannot wait to open our anniversary tier next September. Megan was so great to work with! She made everything so easy. We sent pictures of various cakes we liked from Pinterest and she put together a beautiful top cake. And the cupcake wrappers fit our colors and decor perfectly. Everything she did went off without a hitch and she was super easy to work with and made everything so easy for us.

However, besides ALL of this, her cupcakes ALONE are enough for a 5 star rating. They are beyond delicious! We had some leftover cupcakes and keep them in the freezer and have one occasionally and they even keep well in a freezer weeks later. We can't wait to dig into our 1 year anniversary cake, until then we split a leftover cupcake every once in a while! I would recommend ordering more than you think you need just like we did, just so you can pull from leftovers in your freezer whenever you want. She even leaves you the carriers to make it easy to take them home with you. Best cake I've ever had! We did the Snickers, Lemon Shortbread and Key Lime Pie - YUUUUUMMM!

We had never been to a wedding with cupcakes before so we were excited to offer our guests something different. We liked that we could still do the traditional cake cutting with the package that we chose. We had 100 cupcakes and a small cake for the two of us. We chose Meyer Lemon and Almond Joy and everybody is still talking about how good they were.
We are so happy that we chose Cotton Candy and would highly recommend them. Easy to work with from a distance and the best tasting baked goods we have ever had!!

We contacted Megan very last minute and thankfully she was able to accommodate us.
We had a small wedding with only 25 guests but Megan put together a small cutting cake and 48 cupcakes for us. We choose the sweet and salty for our cupcakes and the meyer lemon for our cake. I believe it may be the best I have ever had. So glad that we followed the advice of our venue and had Cotton Candy as part of our celebration.

Wonderful cupcakes and display. Very flexible and very easy to work with, especially with our wedding being a destination wedding. Everything was set up perfectly and in a timely manner. The guests loved the cupcakes, and the ones we took back with us were gone the next day!

Megan makes the most delicious cupcakes/cake!! We ordered the cookies n cream and the berries n cream cupcakes for our wedding, and they were a huge hit. by the end of the night not a single cupcake was left. i was lucky to stash one of each in our room before they were all gone!! she provided us with a 6" cake for the top tier for us to cut, and then we ordered 100 additional cupcakes that went on the tiers below the cutting cake. the presentation was flawless, and she did an amazing job matching the cupcake wrappers to the wedding colors!! the display was absolutely perfect, and of course, delicious!!! even when it got smashed all over my face :) I highly recommend cotton candy baking company to anyone looking for an alternative to a full wedding cake. Megan's stuffed cupcakes are heavenly!!

We had to do everything via email since we live far away, and Megan was great! Very responsive and friendly! The cupcakes were beautiful and delicious. Don't underestimate the vanilla ones, they were everyone's favorite!

Cotton Candy Baking Company came highly recommended to us from our reception venue, who said these are "THE" Cupcakes to have at our wedding...and we couldn't have been more delighted with everything they did for us! Megan is responsive, helpful and so nice - and her cupcakes are absolutely divine. We also had a cutting cake, which was beautiful. Megan thought of everything in advance, so we had complete confidence in Cotton Candy Baking Company.

We first met the Cotton Candy crew at the wedding expo last January. We had thought we wanted a cake so I almost didn't even stop to see what they had to offer. I am so glad I did! WOW!!! Their cupcakes have to be one of the best things I have ever tasted.

We ended up doing a package of 150 cupcakes. The package included a cutting cake. We opted to make our own cupcake display instead of using the one in the package and they were very accommodating with that idea. We had everything on the table when they arrived and they put the display together for us. The wrappers that they use to put the cupcake in really make the display!
We opted for Snickers, Cookies and Cream and Ginger Lemon.

We had 105 guests show up so we ended up having a few cupcakes left over. We had rented a house for a week and by the time we checked out on Sunday they were all gone. I had hoped to bring some home!

I would recommend Cotton Candy in a heart beat. My sister is getting married next year but not on the outer banks. We would love to figure out how to get the cupcakes to Philadelphia!!

Megan provided cupcakes and a cake topper for my daughters wedding at the love boat in July, 2013. Because we had a band and everyone was having a great time, Becky and Scott decided to quietly cut a cupcake for pictures. That night, 7/25/13, I froze their topper to be cut on their first anniversary. In August 2013, Becky and Scott moved to Colorado and left the cake topper in my freezer.in Connecticut so it was not cut on their 1st anniversary. On Christmas night 2014,,17 months to the day of their wedding, they cut the topper and it was delicious. When we cut the topper cake Christmas night, other guests at my house couldn't believe them when they said it's was so good after being frozen for 17 months so they tried the cake and were amazed. It was the favorite dessert Christmas night. Not only are Megan's cupcakes and caked wonderful when fresh but they also are delicious months. Later. Thanks Megan

Our wedding was everything we always dreamed it would be and all of our vendors helped make it great but there were a few that went above and beyond for us and Cotton Candy most definitely did!
We picked the package that included a cutting cake and 100 cupcakes. Everything was perfect. Not only did the display look beautiful they were beyond tasty!

If you are getting married on the outer banks Cotton Candy is a must have!

Megan was super easy and awesome to work it. I planned a wedding from out of town and in a short amount of time. She was quick to respond to emails and phone calls, which I greatly appreciated. The cupcakes and the actual cupcake display were beautiful. They truly are a decoration in themselves. I have never been to a wedding where the entire cake was eaten, but let me tell you, her cupcakes went like hot cakes. I have never seen so many wedding guests go for the "Sweets" like they did with her cupcakes. We got the lemon ginger and the snicker doodle, and they were both delicious. The guest are still talking about how yummy they were!!! I highly recommend CCBC!

This would be the second year I ordered from Cotton Candy Baking Company for our annual girls trip in Nags Head and will not be the last. Megan was absolutely amazing and the cake and cupcakes were to die for. My favorite overall was the snickers. After getting to the venue and seeing the cake and cupcake tower, it was so adorable and I loved how everything was displayed. Many of our guests asked if they could buy the cupcakes some where while they were down there to take home for family and friends. If you want to do cupcakes for your wedding Cotton Candy Baking Company is fabulous!

Megan, owner of the Cotton Candy Baking Company, was so wonderful - and easy - to work with. Our wedding was scheduled for July 5th, but due to hurricane Arthur, we had to push it back a day, and she was more than happy to accomodate the change. As for the cupcakes/cutting cake - best I have ever had!!!!!! Run, don't walk, to book her for your wedding day.

The Cotton Candy Baking Company was great to work with. For our beach wedding of about 80 guests we got a cupcake cake and it was a huge bit. The Oreo and Creme cupcakes kept our guests talking for days. The display was beautiful, cake was delicious, and the company was great to work with. 100% recommend!!!

I loved working with Megan on our cupcakes. I was planning a wedding from out of state as well as dealing with a very busy time at home. I was not very quick at responding to Megan but she was absolutely wonderful throughout the whole process. Never getting upset and providing us with exactly what we wanted. The cupcakes were beautiful as well as delicious. We ordered extra so we had left over’s and the next day our guest that were heading home asked to take some for the trip. Every time we talk about the wedding someone brings up the cupcakes! We can't wait for our yearly vacation down there so we can get some more! I will start by saying May 26th I tasted the best wedding cake I had ever had, AND it was mine! Megan did an amazing job and gets 5 starts from my husband, my guests and I. We had a three tier and after the wedding it was gone! It's been 6 months and I am still getting complements on the cake Megan made for us!

To find my wedding venders I went to the Outer Banks Wedding Expo last year and my now husband couldn't come with. I ate way too much cake for my own good that day but one stood out. When I tried the cake sample from Cotton Candy Baking Company I fell in love! I took samples home from all of the different venders for my then fiancé to try. I didn't tell him Megan's samples were my favorite because I wanted his true opinion. It was one of the easiest choices we made for our wedding because as soon as he took the first taste of Megan's cake he said, "this is it!"

Megan was extremely helpful and responsive. I told her what we were thinking and she created exactly what we wanted. She was on time, professional, very nice and made the best wedding cake we had ever had! We couldn't have made a better decision! Big THANKS to the Cotton Candy Baking Company! You really helped to make our day special.

Megan was a delight to work with in planning our OBX wedding. She made the process of choosing and ordering our cake so simple. We loved that she was so responsive and able to communicate with us over email - this was such a great asset for my husband and I, two busy professionals planning a destination wedding. I also appreciated her use of technology in the planning process - I was able to share a Pinterest page of cake ideas and get her feedback early in the planning process. Not only was planning so easy with Megan, but she delivers results! Our cake looked beautiful, tasted delicious, and had just the right amount of frosting for smearing all over each others faces after the cake cutting! I think the best testament to the quality of their cake is that our topper didn't even make it into the freezer - we enjoyed it all week after our wedding, it was too good to save. We will just have to make a trip back for our 1 year anniversary and enjoy another delicious cake from Cotton Candy Baking Co.!

WOW! Words cannot express how wonderful Cotton Candy Baking Company is. From the beginning Megan was so responsive to my questions. It was hard picking a baker for my out of state beach wedding. I live 6 hours away in Virginia. I found her information from the Outer Banks Wedding Association. When I discovered she sold her cupcakes at Conner's I made a pit stop and was sold from first bite! My husband has since compared all cupcakes to hers and none win!
Megan showed up 2 hours prior to my ceremony to set up. It was so nice to meet her face to face. She had my colors just right and was so professional when setting up my display.
All of my guest were amazed by her cupcakes and the presentation. They loved the sign she made with the selected flavors as well. I had selected Pumpkin/Ginger and Almond Joy. I ordered 50 cupcakes for 27 guest and only had a dozen left to take home. The cutting cake is a perfect size and it was nice to be able to cut the cake when having cupcakes as dessert. That was one of our concerns when deciding to go the cupcake route.
She made it easy to return the cake stand the following day as well.
If you are undecided about a baker on the island you have found one! Let all these wonderful reviews be the proof.
I cannot wait for our spring trip and another stop at Conner's!

Planning a wedding from out of state was extremely nerve-wracking but Megan helped us with so much more than "just a cake". She provided recommendations for other vendors and everything & everyone was wonderful!! As for our wedding cake (Vanilla x 4) and cupcakes (Sweet & Salty) were the best I have ever had....as a self-proclaimed "cake snob", those words don't come from me often!! As for display, it was perfect and I finally had the opportunity to meet Megan, which was an absolute pleasure! Everyone RAVED about the cake and the presentation. I even contacted Megan 2 weeks before the wedding with changes and she was happy to accommodate. I would recommend Cotton Candy Baking to anyone planning an event in the Outer Banks!!

Cotton Candy Baking Company delivered a beautiful arrangement of cakes and cupcakes for our event. Not only was their display beautiful, but their filled cupcakes were to die for! Their chocolate overload cupcakes were all that I could ask for as a chocolate lover. The Meyer lemon cupcakes offered a lighter option for a beautiful summer wedding. Megan was so accommodating to all the ideas we had for our special day and gave us the confidence that the end result would be beautiful and it was that and more! Thank you Cotton Candy Baking Company for all the care and thought you put in to giving us a beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding!

Megan and Cotton Candy Baking Company are the best! All of our guests absolutely LOVED the cupcakes she made for us. Everyone ran to the cupcake table and grabbed containers to take the left overs home.
Megan was awesome to work with and willing to do whatever I asked her. She was even willing to throw in a few extra cupcakes if needed. The display was absolutely beautiful and I love that she puts a picture frame with the flavors and descriptions. She was very responsive in emails as well, sometimes responding in minutes! I would HIGHLY recommend CCBC for your wedding or event!

We can't wait to eat our anniversary cake!!!

The cupcakes for our wedding in the Outer Banks were absolutely delicious!! Our guests LOVED the cupcakes and kept going back for more! We had the Key Lime Pie and Chocolate Overload flavors. Megan was super easy to work with and did a fantastic job!! Can't wait to get some more cupcakes on our next visit to Hatteras Island!!

Cotton Candy Baking Company blew out mind with the cupcakes they made for our June Wedding. Our guests still asked me where they were from just so they can get more! We had vanilla and cookie dough flavor and I cant wait until our one year anniversary to cut into the rest of our wedding cake!! YUM! highly recommend them if you actually want good tasting desserts!!

We had a destination wedding in the Outer Banks and were not able to get down often to plan in person. Cotton Candy Baking Company was prompt in all discussions and were flexible in working with our plans. The cupcakes were AMAZING and everyone loved them. We also have many gluten intolerant people in our family and they were so happy to be able to eat cupcakes like everyone else. Excellent addition to our perfect Outer Banks wedding!

My husband and I got married at the Inn on Pamlico Sound on September 14th, 2013 and we had Cotton Candy do our cupcake wedding cake. Needless to say, it was the best decision we could have possible made! We chose the triple ginger lemon and cookies and cream flavors and our guest could not stop raving about either! I especially love the ginger lemon! The display of cupcakes that Megan put out was absolutely stunning and the attention to detail was amazing. We cannot wait to dive into our one year anniversary cake already! Thank you so much for making our special day that much more amazing!

We are so pleased that we picked Cotton Candy to do our wedding cake!

Being a destination wedding it wasn't always easy picking a vendor and not getting to meet them in person. We had heard so many wonderful things about their cakes that we figured it had to be the best choice. Megan was friendly and easy to work with from afar. She was also very helpful in leading us to other vendors that she thought highly of. All of our choices for our wedding were spot on.

We liked the fact that she offered two flavor choices for our three tier cake. We went with Meyer lemon and cookies & cream and they were equally delicious! Not only did the cake taste great but it was beyond beautiful. We opted for the cake that is covered in cabbage roses and loved it in person as much as in the pictures!

I would recommend Cotton Candy Baking in a heart beat!

Our wedding was on June 26th, 2013 in Rodanthe, NC. Though several months ago I contacted CCBC (Megan) via email and discussed all the different options. This is where I saw what a professional Megan was. We were planning this wedding from 1000 miles away and she worked with us step by step. Squashed any fears or issues with the cake/cupcakes. My fiancé was lucky enough to visit OBX in mid-march and was able to taste the DELICIOUS samples Megan left for her. The hardest part was choosing which flavors.
So the set up was very nice looking (with colors/cake topper) but the guests could NOT keep their hands off the cupcakes. We had little ones that wanted some right away… so why deny them. In a flash the word got out at the wedding and next thing you know people were asking about the flavors, why we chose them and simply how delicious they were. The literally couldn’t get enough. We secretly cut it off because we wanted 1-2 to take back home with us!! If you want professionalism, delicious wedding desserts (cupcakes specifically) at a reasonable price… make sure you contact CCBC. Not to mention Megan is just a sweet person herself as I finally got to meet her the day after the wedding.

Megan, with CCBC, is AWESOME! When we first met she hand delivered us a 6 pack of cupcakes to try when we were on our vacation the year before. All of her flavors we SO good! They were moist, rich (but not too rich), light, and delicious! We had one guest eat 11! We ordered 150 and had 6 left by the end of the night plus the cutting cake she incorporates! I wish we had ordered more because we would have loved to eat them the week after!
Our colors were blues, green, and tans. I sent her swatches and she did a GREAT job using complementing colors.
Another plus was she was really quick on getting back to me about the deposit when the cake stand was returned.
I highly recommend Cotton Candy Baking Company!

The theme of the wedding were peacock colors. The display and cupcakes were perfectly done to match our theme. Megan even took the time to place the cake topping, which the bride's father had made, and extra flowers we had to create a beautiful topping on the cake. The cupcakes received a lot of compliments...."the best they have ever had", "so moist"! We were dealing with a tropical storm but that did not stop Megan from being there on time and setting up. One thing we did not have to worry about!

The Cake and Cupcakes for our daughters wedding were DELICIOUS!! Everyone was so complimentary and asked if they could have seconds :-)
The whole transaction with Cotton Candy was great, from the first tasting at the expo thru planning and delivery and completion. Megan was great to correspond with and work with. My only complaint is that there are so many wonderful flavors she offers it was Hard to choose just two!! My favorite so far is the Triple Lemon Ginger though. If you want Quality, Taste and great service call Cotton Candy for sure!!!!

We couldn't be more pleased with our dealings with Megan and were thrilled with the cupcake and cake display which she put together for our son's wedding last week in Nags Head. We live in Northen Virginia and dealing with her long distance couldn't have been easier. She worked with us to pick three flavor choices for the cupcakes which included Vanilla-Vanilla, Sweet and Salty, and Chocolate Decadence. All of them were a big hit and our guests are still talking about them! We strongly recommend Cotton Candy Baking Company!

Our guests are still talking about our cake! Megan worked with us to design a cake that fit the theme were going for. We were able to pick two flavors and went with meyer lemon and snickers. WOW!!! So good, the best cake I have ever had. I have never been to a wedding were guests were going up for seconds but by the end of the night our entire cake was gone. I will be visiting again in a few months and will make Conner's grocery a must do on our list. I am so excited that Megan said they carry her cupcakes. We can not wait to eat them again!

My daughter's wedding was at the Inn on Pamlico Sound. It was a beautiful event and I was so happy to have learned about Megan. We had the vanilla, vanilla and red velvet cake. We chose the beautiful cabbage rose design and I was happy to make the diamond wire "I do" topper for my daughter. We loved the silver riser that she used. The cake was delicious and beautiful and Megan was wonderful to work with in every way. her delivery and set up was perfect. We live in Florida and had not been to the area, but definitely recommend Cotton Candy Baking Company. Also picked up her cupcakes at Connor's market and they are delicious as well. thank you, Megan!

Cotton Candy Baking Company provided my husband and I with a beautiful and DELICIOUS wedding cake last year! Megan was great to work with! We aren't from the Outer Banks, but that didn't matter. Megan's beautiful cabbage rose cake suited our gathering to a "tee." A lover of nearly every flavor cupcake by Cotton Candy, Megan knew to pick my favorite lemon flavor for a special day. Cotton Candy Baking Co. worked with my (MOTHER OF GROOM) budget to provide a delicious assortment of dessert bars, for a crowd of 120 for a wedding rehearsal dinner, to please anyones palate. I chose 4 types and all were my favorite. They were attentive to answering e-mails and had desserts delivered on time. They also catered the wedding, with 4 flavors of cupcakes, which were all scrumptious and baked to perfection. Desserts for both events were a true crowd pleaser.

My daughter, her future husband, her dad & I went to the OBX Wedding Expo in 2014 and sampled many cakes/cupcakes. Although there were a number of outstanding samples we all agreed that Cotton Candy cupcakes were a "cut above."
You certainly can get larger, less expensive cupcakes that will please your guests but these cupcakes were, in our opinion, extra special. We opted for the 150 (3 flavor) option and were not disappointed.Megan did a great job coordinating the wrappers to my daughter's colors & decorated the top of the cupcakes with small starfish that we purchased from Distinct Delight, The cutting cake was decorated with small chocolate shells also form DD & the cake looked lovely with the shells cascading down the side.
Megan also left the plastic containers for us to use for any cupcakes that remained at the end of the evening.
If your preference is for cupcakes, I believe you will be quite satisfied with Cotton Candy Baking Company.

Our experience with Cotton Candy Baking Company was great! The cupcakes were wonderful and the cutting cake was absolutely gorgeous. The different wrapping papers designed to match the colors of our wedding were a final touch that everyone noticed and loved! They were a hit! I would absolutely reocmmend CCBC to a friend!

Delicious! We had cupcakes made with a cutting cake. Everyone raved about the taste and we loved the look for it as well. Everything went really smoothly and as planned (which is exactly what every bride needs). I would highly recommend.

We ordered two different flavors of cupcakes for our August wedding, and they were very tasty. They even traveled well to our honeymoon destination, and tasted delicious three days after the wedding! Our topper cake was not nearly as exciting as the cupcakes, and the flavor did not compare to that of the cupcakes. I thought that it was supposed to match one of the cupcake flavors, and understood the order that way, so was slightly disappointed. Everyone raved though, so overall very pleased with them!

Overall, I thought the experience with Cotton Candy Baking Company was great. Megan was always very responsive to my emails, and did a great job picking up the cup cake wrappers to match our theme. The cupcakes are DELICIOUS!! I feel like the price is a bit high...but I know that's just the wedding business in general. I would definitely recommend them to anyone getting married in OBX.

My husband and I met Megan while we were attending the OBX Wedding Expo searching for vendors. We were having some trouble deciding on cakes and flavors. Megan had cupcakes to offer that are very good, but my husband really wanted a cake to cut and I wanted a top tier to freeze for our anniversary. Megan stated that if I could talk him into cupcakes that she would bake us an extra top tier to freeze, that way my husband could still have his cake to cut. About a month before our wedding, I had not heard anything from Megan so I did some searching to find her email address and let her know what flavors we wanted to pick and reminded her about the EXTRA TOP TIER TO FREEZE. She stated that she tried to mail me a contract, but the address she has for us was wrong (1 number in the zipcode). If you google the rest of my address, it gives the proper zipcode. An easy fix. She also claimed that she tried to email me and it wasn't going through. I corrected the address and asked where to mail my final payment just in case I didn't receive the contract in time. I still never received a contract. Fast forward to my wedding day. We cut the cake as planned and a short while later came to find that she did NOT leave another one at my location. She also did not leave a cake box, only small containers for extra cupcakes. On the 2 mile trip back to where we were staying, my top tier fell apart and now we no longer have an anniversary cake. Overall, I must say I'm disappointed.

They got the brides (my) name wrong on the plaque they put next to the cupcakes! & on our anniversary cake! For such an overpriced product and service you would think they could get the BRIDES NAME RIGHT especially when she (I) was the only person in contact with her over the course of the planning process. When I called, I never got a call back, just an email. very unprofessional for such an expensive partof the wedding. Such an embarrassment on my wedding day.
