Cory is a dream to work with!

Wow, where to start?! Cory and Gia were simply amazing -- two of our most favorite wedding vendors and we loved all of ours! I knew I wanted Cory to be a part of our big day right away because I had been admiring her work online but getting the opportunity to actually work with her was an absolute treat. She is warm, friendly, professional, prompt, and FUN! She and Gia hustled all day working to get the best shots for us. They were so cool, calm, and flexible, even holding babies and herding our five flower girls. And boy, they did not disappoint. The photos they captured are so dreamy, beyond our expectations. Our friends and family are equally thrilled with them -- I have never received so many compliments before in my life! We can't stop oohing and ahhing over them -- such perfect photos to capture the perfect day. We highly recommend Cory for your special day!

Amazing photographer from a photojournalist

WOW! Cory did an amazing job with our engagement and elope-ish wedding pictures! We wanted someone that was creative, fun and could capture the moments. Cory was all of that and more. I don't mind getting my picture taken but my wife hates it and Cory made us both feel at ease and we actually had a good time at our sessions! Our pictures are stunning and something we will treasure forever.

Engagement & Wedding Photos

Cory shot our engagement sesh and wedding and we couldn’t be happier with the photos! Her sweet and bubbly personality made us super comfortable and relax during our shoot so we were able to be ourselves. She had incredibly unique ideas on where to take our engagement pics, which was very helpful since we hadn’t a clue! At our wedding, her assistant and her were very stealth and captured the BEST moments without disrupting the party- which we appreciated. Cory captures very candid and special shots in the moment, which make for an amazing album. I couldn’t recommend her enough! I’ll be hiring her again in the near future, but this time for A BABY! 🙌🏻

OMG phenomenal engagement photos!!!

I don't even know where to begin with the amazing experience we had taking our engagement photos with Cory Ryan, and particularly working with Gia. For starters we picked a really cold time to take our photos, and there was potential for bad weather. Gia was checking the forecast everyday leading up to the day we booked, and reassured us that even if we had to move the date back they would do their best to squeeze us into their schedule as quickly as they could. We decided to move forward on the day we scheduled and I'm so glad we did. We needed our photos sooner rather than later, so they knew we were working under strict time constraints. Even though they told us it would take 3 weeks to edit our photos, we had them in our inbox 3 days later!!! They put in extra time to get them to us faster. I could not have been more pleased with the results. As I clicked through each photo my smile grew bigger and bigger. Gia captured US in a way that I didn't even think was possible. She is a pleasure to work with, knows what she's doing, and makes you feel comfortable. I cannot wait to work with her and Cory Ryan again to capture our future life moments!!

Cory is the BEST

Cory and team consistently exceeded our expectations and helped make our wedding day the best day of our lives. My wife is photogenic and loves taking photos but to be honest I hate it. But with Cory and Gia, we both had a great time and were able to get an incredible album of photos that we'll cherish for our entire life. They also got some epic shots of our friends on the dance floor that we'll likely be using as blackmail for decades to come.

Hiring Cory Ryan as my wedding photographer was by far the absolute BEST decision I made . Cory is so amazing that we hired her to take photographs for our engagement, bridal portraits, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. I guess you could say that we are pretty OBSESSED with her and our photos. All of our photos are exactly what we wanted and even better than expected! Our house is now filled with Cory’s photographs and quite literally looks like a shrine to her/us. My husband and I rarely take photographs together and definitely do not know how to pose, but Cory put us at ease, gave us honest feedback, and helped us navigate our way through our new found modeling careers. All kidding aside, Cory knows what she is doing and delivers gorgeous photographs, both posed and candid moments. We had a colorful, vibrant, and modern Cinco de Mayo wedding at South Congress Hotel and Cory truly captured every detail and moment perfectly. I do not care for overly filtered or dull photographs, so Cory’s vibrant, modern and eclectic style was a perfect fit for me and shines perfectly in all of our photographs. Not only are her photographs amazing, but Cory has the BEST personality and I genuinely enjoyed working with her throughout the process and especially on my wedding day. She put me at ease and most importantly, kept me laughing throughout our wedding day and during all of our other photo sessions. Cory also delivered our wedding photographs earlier than I was so grateful. It is a bummer to come back from your honeymoon but the wedding photographs in my inbox certainly made my day. Cory is near and dear to our heart and my family absolutely adores her too. I’m so grateful to have found Cory and look forward to using her in the future to capture all of our big life moments to come. Thank you Cory for being the best part of my wedding day (other than my hubby)!

If you want fun, colorful photography, Cory is your girl - she's the best!

My wife and I are also photographers, and finding someone who creates joyful and vibrant photography is tough these days. The current fleeting trends are for moody and flat photography - but who wants to look drab and sad on their wedding day? We knew for years that when the day came, Cory would be our choice - it was a no brainer!

Cory photographed our elopement in NYC, and even came a day early to do a fun portrait session all around the city - the photos from both the session and our wedding day were amazing and exactly what we wanted! She is a master of all of the technical aspects of the profession as well, and she excelled even when the late evening light got challenging in the urban canyons and there was at least a 3-stop difference between shadow and sky! We love all of our photos and the prints now hang on our living room wall alongside our many cat photos, so we no longer look like super-weird cat people. Just weird cat people. Hire Cory and you too can have joyful photos for a lifetime!

I can't begin to tell you how lucky we were to have Cory photograph our wedding at The Winfield Inn and our rehearsal dinner at Vuka! We were not interested in cookie cutter / typical wedding photos and she delivered the type of modern, fun photos we were after. She and her assistant were able to get in the middle of things and capture the fun, candid moments. She is especially talented in finding the right compositions as well -- most all of them are frame-ready! The prints she delivered were just gorgeous, I loved her used of color and black and white. In the age where we can all "doctor photos" in our iphones, hers were just perfect. I wouldn't touch them (and I work in film!)
My one piece of advice is to definitely purchase her photo album package. She designed the most beautiful unique hard cover album I've ever seen. Everyone who comes over comments on how they have not seen a wedding book like ours. so worth the $$$.

Cory Ryan was our first choice in wedding photographers--we are so glad that we opted to work with her for our pictures! Cory was a delight to work with--available, flexible, open to direction and directing, and incredibly good at her job. She met us at a coffee shop for our consultation, and was available via phone, email, and in-person for subsequent meetings.

She showed up promptly the day of the wedding, and got so many wonderful shots. She was so kind and funny during the pre-wedding jittery period, and even offered to politely and effectively help us wrangle wayward guests who would have jammed up our schedule.

The pictures...THE PICTURES. They are so wonderful! She got so many great candid shots....everybody who has seen them has commented on how great they are. The colors are so vivid! The feelings of the day are so apparent! Everybody looks so happy and excited...we knew the shots would be good, but we didn't know just how wonderful it would feel to have our day memorialized by Cory and her assistant.

We simply cannot say enough good stuff.

Cory is absolutely amazing! We eloped (sort of) and had originally opted not to have a photographer at our ceremony, but at the last minute, things changed, and Cory was able to just factor it in to the originally planned session. We LOVE all our photos- they don't remind me of any wedding photos I've seen! Cory has such an amazing eye, is SO easy to work with, and we could not possibly be happier with how things turned out!

Cory Ryan is hands down the best photographer in Austin!! She is so easy to work with, super organized and has amazing ideas! From the very beginning she made sure she understood the vision my husband and I had. In fact, she made it a priority. She's fun-loving, energetic and makes the process super fun. She also makes you feel comfortable and always makes you laugh!! We couldn't have been happier with how both our engagement photos and wedding photos turned out. What I loved is while she had so many of her own amazing ideas she was always open to new ideas. It's obvious her number one priority is making the couple happy. If you're looking for a modern photographer with pictures that are clean and crisp and sharp--she's your gal! We couldn't believe how many compliments we received on our photos. She always knows how to use the light to make you look as good as you possibly can on the big day-both natural light and when using a flash. She's easy to talk to and always gets back to you right away when trying to get in touch with her. I would highly recommend her--you won't be disappointed!

I can’t say enough about Cory Ryan – she is FABULOUS to work with and has the most amazing pictures. When selecting a photographer I knew I wanted someone who was a little more creative than the standard wedding pictures while still capturing the classic wedding moments. We found that in Cory’s work and couldn’t be happier with all of our photos. She is fun to work with, makes you feel comfortable immediately, is creative and very personable.

One of the other things we loved about Cory is her albums and other products. They are so creative, lively and very well made with attention to the finest details. We now have works of art out of our pictures that we can put on our coffee table etc. Her quality is the absolute finest and it shows in her end product.

Overall Cory was extremely easy to work with from day one. She was very clear with her contract and flexible with customizing the package to what best fit what we wanted and our budget. She was quick to respond to anything that we needed and very thorough in her own information gathering to make sure she captured our wedding as we wanted. All of her staff and supporting photographers were incredibly professional and talented. I cannot recommend Cory Ryan enough! I can honestly say all the pictures from engagement photos to the wedding were a blast!

Now the challenge is to figure out which photos will make our wedding album…there are too many good ones!

We could not be happier with the images Cory Ryan captured of our destination wedding in Park City, Utah! Despite having never photographed a wedding in the snow, Cory's pictures turned out beautifully and we have received rave reviews from everyone who has seen them. She was great at keeping us on our schedule and managed to fit in all the photos we wanted on a very tight timeline! If you are considering having a destination wedding, I would highly recommend using Cory -- she went out of her way to scout out the perfect locations for all of our photo sessions, and we probably actually got more creative photos using someone new to the area than if we had chosen a photographer who shoots in Park City every weekend!

Cory Ryan did an amazing job from day 1 including the bridal shoot and all aspects of our wedding. She kept regular contact with us well in advance of the wedding and was very organized leaving one less detail for us to worry about on our wedding day. Cory is very professional, punctual, creative, and truly seemed to care about what was most important to us. I was most impressed with the end product and after receiving all of our wedding photos, I felt like I was able to relive the wedding at a much slower pace. As everyone told us, try to take a step back and take it all in. Well, that seemed very difficult during the wedding as we were having too much fun. In the end, Cory captured the most important parts of the wedding and I felt the photos were a great representation of our wedding day and all it entailed. We enjoyed having Cory shoot our wedding and would highly recommend her to anyone!!!

I cannot recommend Cory enough! I really loved working with her and loved her professionalism and competence! The photos look amazing! I am not a photogenic bride and I felt like these photos really make me look great. My family and my husband and everybody just looked awesome int he photos and she captured some beautiful moments.

My advice to brides would be that you actually spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day, the most important day of your life. And so you should pick someone who you actually like as a person and enjoy being around and I think Cory is incredibly likeable and fits that bill. Also, you are entrusting your photographer with the memories of your wedding. That is a HUGE deal. You want someone responsible who is responsive, has an office, answers emails quickly, has professional contracts, and makes you feel encouraged about your photos. I really loved that Cory got us our photos in a month and there are hundreds of them and they all look great.

Cory was the one part of our wedding I did not have to think twice about or worry about at all! I knew the minute we got engaged that I wanted her to be our photographer. Her smile alone makes anyone around her feel happy. I love every single photo she took and she truly captured the essence of what that day was about for us. Cory was an absolute joy to work with: she was flexible, professional, creative, and very open to our ideas. Cannot say enough great things about Cory! Our pictures are truly fantastic - we have hundreds and hundreds of beautiful reminders of our "big day" and the rehearsal dinner the night before - and she captured so many things that we missed! Really beautiful shots of our family and friends and all the little things that made our day special. A number of people have commented on how our photographer seemed to be "everywhere" all at once.

We went into the wedding wanting a truly exceptional photographer because the photos are one piece that can be treasured for a lifetime (or longer), and we got that with Cory! Cory did an amazing job photographing our wedding at Laguna Gloria in Austin, TX. #1: She is super professional. For example, we only booked her for 2 hours (b/c we eloped and married in a private ceremony). And, she was on time, efficient, and didn't dilly-dally with anything. She used the most of our 2 hours to capture as many shots as possible, and was on top of everything. She was also quick with email responses. ...Great overall "customer service" (if that's the right word for it). She's a real pro! #2: She is also innovative and helpful (not pushy) in offering advice and tips. For example, we planned to marry outside, but the pouring down rain caused us to move indoors and she knew exactly where we should stand to capture great light. Moreover, she was prepared with rain guards and an assistant if we did still want to marry outdoors. We came with giant clear umbrellas, so it was really our call and she was down for whatever we wanted instead of pushing us in one direction! AND- I'm glad we took her suggestions!!! #3: She has a great attitude, which makes all the difference. Photos are going to capture your mood!!! If you have an irritating photographer or someone who looks like they don't want to be there, or someone who isn't smiling, or looks stressed, or isnt personable, its going to come through in photos. She made it comfortable and easy. For example, she was all smiles when we pulled up and it really made me excited. She was positive and reassuring that our last minute change-of-location was going to look amazing- and she was right. I actually think the photos were better indoors. The pictures looked magical, which is exactly what I wanted. #4: Her photos are not boring wedding photos. I also love the coloring of her photos. They are bright and vivid. We love them! #5: I felt that she was easy to talk to and understanding. For example, when I explained what I wanted the photos to feel like, she was open-minded and and had a "yes we can do that" attitude. #6: She was grateful and appreciative for my business!! I will definitively book her again, probably when i get pregnant! :)

My wedding was made absolutely complete by having the most talented and personable photographer! Cory Ryan captured every moment and through her photographs I am now able to relive my wonderful memories by her amazing photographs. I am so pleased with every single photo she took, her color and lighting are amazing.

When hiring a photographer a lot of times people don't take into account that on your special day you will be spending a lot of time with that person so its imperative that your photographer is someone who can make you feel comfortable. Cory is such a sweet easy going gal, yet an extremely professional wedding photographer, with those two attributes you have yourself the most awesome wedding photographer!

I just received our wedding photos back from Cory and while sharing them the #1 phrase repeated by all my friends and family was, "Oh my gosh, Cory did an amazing job!!"

Her attention to detail really allowed the photos to tell the complete story of our wedding day from beginning to end. Throughout the entirety of the evening, I hardly noticed Cory but the photos appeared as if she were everywhere in the shadows.

Her candid shots are indescribable. She took shots of my grandmother (and many others) that put me in tears. Every single image is full of raw emotion and love.

The best wedding planning decision I made was picking Cory Ryan as our photographer. She truly is a blessing to work with and I can't wait to share our cherished memories with our children-to-be.

Cory was just wonderful to work with and I think her photos speak for themselves! She was very prompt and professional and made sure that she took all the pictures I wanted and many more I didn't know I wanted :) I think you will find that she will be a lighthearted and fun element to your big day, and you will get some amazing images.

I have gotten tons of compliments on her photos, especially how beautifully color-saturated they are and how creative she is with composition. I got my edited DVD of all my photos in the mail quicker than I expected (about a week) and I loved the results. I had an extremely small wedding budget (about $4k total - my dress was $100 to give you an idea), and she was totally worth the cost.

I’ll tell you this- Cory is a creative photographer who is quite amiable. I shopped through many websites of wedding photographers and they were all the same to me. After seeing her site, it was important to work the budget to snag her… we are very VERY glad we did.

When you have a wedding, you hear that you will hardly experience anything you plan because it goes by so fast. You also hear that you will have hardly any time to be with you newly betrothed because so much will go on and so many people will be there… both, in my experience, were not true. I do chalk this up to hiring and working with Cory… let me explain:

Not only did she capture all the moments we had (planned and spontaneous), but also moments the guests experienced! Even if I wasn’t sitting at their tables or in a certain dance mob, I felt the life and energy through the photos she provided! Her photos showed all sides to the event! She didn’t miss a thing… Cory took my husband and I aside to take some couple pictures before the reception and after the ceremony... This was great. We basically had a sweet time just being together and away from it all. She just snapped away taking some wicked pictures as we enjoyed each other’s company. With her we didn’t miss a thing or each other.

What a wonderful choice!! I'm so incredibly happy with Cory Ryan. Before the wedding, when brides are usually a little on edge, she made me feel comfortable, relaxed and, more importantly, beautiful! I felt like I was modeling in a photo shoot. During the wedding, I felt like I hardly saw her, but looking at the photos, she was everywhere! I have seen some photographers that were intrusive and distracting -- NOT Cory! I am more than pleased with the photos from my wedding. I look at them over and over again because they aren't the typical staged photos - they tell the story of the wedding. My husband and I feel like we are reliving the event when we look through the albums. I keep having people (some who I don't even know) tell me how fun and beautiful my wedding photos turned out. Gia Pham took our engagement and wedding photos, and Cory Ryan worked with us to create a beautiful online and physical wedding album that we will treasure for years to come.

We did our engagement photos at the Domain, and had our dog by our side the entire time. Gia was awesome at finding the best backdrops for our photos and brought out the best in us. Our photos were returned to us really quickly - just a few weeks after the shoot!

Gia and her assistant did a wonderful job taking wedding photos at Ma Maison in Dripping Springs. They were flexible yet mindful of the schedule. They captured everything from the minute details (shoes, flowers, rings, table settings, you name it), to the massive group photos, to couple-in-the-bluebonnets photos, and awesome action shots of our first dance and guests having fun with glow sticks at the reception.

Our photos were posted online quickly and well organized. We got our proof book and a very professional album that was customized to our liking soon after. We love how bright and vivid the pictures came out.

We received many compliments on the photos from our guests, family, and vendors all thanks to Cory, Gia, and the team. Their services cost a pretty penny, but in the end, you get phenomenal service and quality photos of the biggest day of your life. To me, that's worth it.

Cory was great as our wedding photographer! My husband and I are pretty awkward, but Cory made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and got some really great shots. She did a great job taking a mix of traditional and non-traditional photos and was really flexible in getting the particular photos that we wanted. And she's very sweet, which is a plus. Cory photographed our wedding day and we are so, so happy with the results. The photos are stunning. She did an especially great job producing wonderfully vibrant colors and utilized the golden hour to get gorgeous ceremony shots. She and her assistant were able to get all of our bride/groom photos and family photos done at one time and in a professional manner. They brought the list of shots we provided and worked through them very efficiently. It was important to us to have photos of all our wedding guests, but we didn't want to spend the entire wedding day taking staged shots. She and her assistant did a great job of snapping candids and posed pictures of all of our guests throughout the night - we are so grateful to have these shots. It took her just under a month to get us the digital prints - plenty of time to order gifts for people before the holidays.

Note that she does not do a "sneak peak" type thing where she posts some photos on social media right after the wedding - this wasn't a problem for us. Also, there was a snafu in the scheduling of the wedding day and Cory was not able to make it to take my getting-ready photos. To ensure she provided the amount of photographer time we contracted for, Cory and her assistant stayed at the reception until nearly the end and captured some fantastic dancing photos.

Cory photographed our rehearsal dinner at Vuca and our wedding at Fonda San Miguel in February of 2016 and we LOVED her and her work. We are the least photogenic couple ever and she somehow made us and our families look awesome. She is upbeat and fun without being cheesy, she got us our photos within a couple of weeks and she helped us get organized and stay on track during the wedding. We did do some posed pictures with family and just us, but a lot of the pictures are candid shots of our guests, which are really cool. She did a great job with night shots, which can be tricky. She also worked with us on the package (we just wanted the files, no books). I highly recommend her and her team - well worth the $$$ for your big day.

Cory was amazing and finding the photographer was one of the only things I left up to my husband. I told him this is the one things we couldn't skimp out on. :) She was so easy to work with and made me feel extremely comfortable. For my bridal portraits, I had listed some great locations for the photos, but she told me she wanted me to come up with some great locations that were more unique to me. I am so glad she did.... I could not be happier with the portraits and the locations that we came up with. We also love the wedding photos. She was so professional and fun to work with. Half the time we didn't even see her! We were also pleasantly surprised when we got all of the photos back in about a month and how beautiful they turned out! She got some amazing pictures! She was quick, professional, and a delight to work with! Everyone loves the pictures! I would definitely recommend her!

A great experience with Gia!

We had a great experience with Gia from Cory Ryan Photography! We wanted to capture our engagement photos in front of iconic Austin spots. They came out beautifully, and Gia made us feel very comfortable during the shoot. She listened to the vision and ideas we had for the photos and added her guidance and perspective as well. We were up against an unexpected thunderstorm, and Gia was very accommodating and patient as we waited for the weather to pass. I would definitely recommend Gia and Cory Ryan Photography to other couples out there!
