Copper Mountain Resort truly went above and beyond
Where do I even begin... Copper Mountain Resort truly went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend unforgettable! We've been skiing at Copper for (10+) years, and the moment we visited The Aerie right after it opened, we knew it was the place to host our celebration. There’s no way we could imagine our wedding anywhere else.
This lodge is brand new, with modern, sleek, and clean finishes that have a Scandinavian vibe. It doesn’t feel like your typical mid-mountain ski lodge, which made it feel extra special for our event. We had the pleasure of working with Courtney, and she was incredible! She was always just a message away, and communication was seamless. She guided us every step of the way, and we couldn’t have asked for better support.
Forage & Feast at The Aerie catered our wedding, and our guests (near and far) still rave about how it was some of the best food they’ve ever had at an event! The Copper Mountain team made it so easy for our vendors to set up, even with the challenge of it being winter and all our décor, florals, centerpieces, and DJ equipment needing to be loaded onto the gondola.
We were fortunate to have the outdoor patio for our ceremony, then move inside where we basically had the whole building for our reception. Anytime we had to make last-minute adjustments or pivots, we knew we were in great hands with Courtney and the team.
Our ‘Welcome Party/Apres Ski Party’ at Downhill Duke's was the perfect way to kick things off — unforgettable moments on the deck with sunshine, music, food, and drinks. It's also pet friendly, so our dog-son Duey was able to join the event!
We can't thank Copper Mountain, The Aerie, and the entire team enough for making our dream wedding come to life and a weekend we won't every forget!-

Spring Skiing Wedding at the Aerie!
Our Copper Mountain wedding weekend at the Aerie was everything we could’ve dreamed of, as a couple who skis and snowboards and usually spends the most time of our ski season at Copper. We got so lucky with our April wedding after a historically poor snow season, and then somehow got 10 inches the day before our wedding! So we were able to have a fun ski day with our guests, and then had the perfect backdrop for the patio ceremony at the area. Working with Louise and Mika and the event planning team was seriously a breeze, and they helped to keep everything on track throughout the year that we were planning & made sure we were aware and comfortable with the costs. The bar staff & serving staff the weekend of were absolutely amazing, and the chef and his menu were out of this world. We had been hesitant to do a Buffet, but Chef proved us wrong and we even had several guests say that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. The view from the Aerie provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and then we had the most perfect golden hour and sunset throughout dinner + for our first dances. Plus being able to take the gondola up and down to the venue was a really fun touch for our out-of-town guests. We also loved that our guests could stay in Copper Village and have everything accessible to them through the weekend and still have easy access to the venue, especially since we had so many people coming from out of state. Wish we could re live this weekend over and over again!-

Winter turned Spring Wedding Weekend
The team at Copper weddings was excellent, so nice, and very helpful throughout the whole process. Copper presented a better value than other ski resorts could offer and could also accommodate a winter date that several others could not do. When the snow was much less than expected, the balcony was a great backup plan and everything was handled very well leading up to and during the day of. -

Wedding of our dreams
We had our wedding outside at Copper Creek Vista and our reception in the Grand Hall. Both of the settings were beautiful. Savanna was fantastic to work with. Our guests loved the food and the desserts were our favorite. Everything went smoothly leading up to the day and throughout the day. I would highly recommend a wedding at Copper! -

Amazing Aerie Lodge Wedding
We had the wedding of our dreams and many of our guests dreams at the new Aerie Lodge at Copper! Our contacts were Shannon and Katie and they did a wonderful job. We worked with Shannon till Katie was assigned to us as our main contact. Both were very responsive and timely and extremely helpful in helping us plan our wedding. Katie went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went off without a hitch. We really can't say enough about the work Shannon and Katie did to make our wedding happen. The rest of the catering team at the Aerie did an amazing job the day of the wedding and our guests continued to comment on how stunning and spectacular everything was. Everything from the ceremony site, to the reception site, to the food was perfect. -

Everything worked out perfectly
We got off to a bit of a rocky start, but everything was smooth sailing as soon as Kyle Peterson took over our wedding. Shannon is extremely friendly, but it was hard to get ahold of her sometimes. My husband and I were often confused about who to ask for what (the catering manager was our only point of contact and couldn't help with much beyond that) and being given vague answers or being told we just needed to hire a wedding planner.
Once we met Kyle, however, she hit the ground running and was extremely prepared, organized, and friendly. She spent extra time with me (an event planner myself) to go through specifics of my wedding day and truly helped us think of everything. She was very responsive and made things very easy for us. It certainly gave us peace of mind for our special day!
Highly recommend Kyle at the Copper Mountain Wedding team! -

Beautiful and Flawless
It was perfect from start to finish. I feel like photos/review of CM are limited online compared to some other places which is surprising but might just be because its more under the radar (for now at least) but I experienced absolute perfection! Classy, elegant, quality, and beautiful. I'd have my wedding here again and again!-

A Dream Venue
Kyle, Shannon, and the Copper Mountain team went ABOVE and BEYOND to make our wedding day perfect! We had our ceremony at Solitude Station, and our reception at the Grand Hall on 8/20/2021. They worked with us to customize our wedding menu and flawlessly executed our vision. I cannot tell you how many people have complimented our food and said it was the best they've had at any wedding. Their entire team did an excellent job communicating with us and our planner from day one to our wedding day. They made the entire process SO easy and seamless. From providing the catering, bar service, linens, tables/chairs, ceremony chairs, an arch for the ceremony, transportation to and from the ceremony/reception for guests, service staff, and so many more things it makes the wedding planning process that much easier. They are indeed a dream wedding venue, and they made our dreams come true.-

Wedding of our dreams!!
I was looking for an “all inclusive” type of venue for our wedding since we currently reside in Florida. After meeting with Shannon at copper mountain, I knew this was going to be the perfect location for our wedding. I am beyond impressed with copper mountain and their wedding team. Katie was my catering coordinator. I cannot say enough great things about her! She was great at communication from day one and made planning my wedding from Florida seamless. I was slightly nervous about how smooth my wedding day would be since I didn’t hire a wedding planner or day of coordinator. However, Katie and her team made my ceremony and reception perfect! She truly made it the wedding of my dreams, and made my vision come to life! The food at Copper mountain was also amazing! My guests could not stop raving about the food. I was lucky enough to meet my catering team, and they were so kind and listened to all of my requests. If you are looking for a beautiful mountain wedding with amazing food, and wonderful staff this is the place for you! Thank you again Copper!-

Absolutely amazing!
The team at Copper that helped with planning and executing our wedding were fabulous! They were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. They even let us use their printer last minute so my husband could print his vows! Cannot say enough good things about this team. Highly recommend! :) Copper also shows you pricing that includes tax, surcharges and gratuity, which makes budgeting that much easier! -

Oh my goodness, Copper Mountain made our wedding dreams come true. It was a destination wedding for us as we love the mountains, and we had our ceremony at Solitude Station (you must take a shuttle or the ski lift up to the top). It is so beautiful up there and so memorable that my husband even got a tattoo of the site as my wedding gift to him!
We had our cocktail hour and reception at JJ's Tavern and everyone there was so kind; the service was superb and we actually had time to eat the food and loved it as well.
LOUISE was our group services manager and our fairy godmother! We didn't have a wedding planner or coordinator so I spent a lot of time working things out with her myself and she was always helpful, lovely, and responsive. Even though some of the officials at the ski lift wanted to cancel our ceremony at the top because of possible rainstorms, Louise believed it would pass and talked them into waiting - thank goodness for her because it DID pass and we even got to start our ceremony on time! We really felt treated like family; we even gave her boxes of decorations she set up in our reception room for us. We were never made to feel needy or silly during the process and it ended up very special to us because of that.
Especially considering the rates (and attitude) of every other venue in the area, Copper is extremely reasonably priced and went above and beyond to make our weekend there spectacular and stress-free. THANK YOU so much for hosting a wedding we will be blown away by for years and years to come. We're already talking about renewing our vows there in a decade :)
P.S. We even had to move our wedding date after our deposit was down because of a work conflict I had, and they were completely understanding and helpful. -

How could you not love Copper Mountain?! Everything you could possibly need is right there. The ceremony sites, the reception venues, accomidations for guests, easy transportion and entertainment in the Village. The views and scenery are amazing. Our food was awesome, Louise our wedding coordinator went above and beyond, the bar tenders and servers were great fun. It was an amazing day and super fun weekend because we choose such an amazing place to hold our wedding! I would make the same choice if i could do it all over again! -

We had our wedding here and everybody absolutely adored the wedding. We got rave reviews from guests. From the scenery, rooms, THE FOOD AT CB GRILL, the cakes, the chapel, everything. It was literally the best day of our lives so far. Mary Gary was awesome to work with. The wait staff we had were super kind and chill and since we honeymooned in Breck after the wedding, they even boxed up some food and cake for us to go after the wedding. Everything was just gorgeous and perfect. I am so happy I stumbled upon this venue just by scanning around Google maps for venues in and around the Breck / High Rockies area. I love that there isn't a site fee for the reception, just a good and alcohol minimum, which for our wedding of 35 people and 7 vendors - was perfect. Didn't go over budget. Loved our day and night here! -

The day of our wedding turned out perfectly, and I couldn't have asked for more. It was difficult to plan from afar, so I would recommend that any couple consider traveling to Copper Mountain and meeting in person with the planners. The room rates were also very expensive, and many of my guests booked via third parties (which I did not know about until after booking directly through Copper Mountain). That being said - it was the BEST DAY and we can't thank Copper Mountain enough! -

WOW, words cannot express what an amazing wedding and celebration we had at the resort! We are completely blown away with everything and everyone that made our special day/weekend so happy and memorable. Shannon Bianco was a pleasure to work with on the sales side, and then Louise Denny did the most phenomenal job as our Wedding Coordinator! She was always so helpful, responsive, personable, and thorough with all elements of the planning process and also the execution. Her, her team, and the Chef all did such a tremendous job of helping us create our day with meaning. From a customized Mediterranean menu, to helpful suggestions and ideas, to Louise’s attention to detail and customer satisfaction, to the fabulous banquet/bartending team, the entire Copper Team did an outstanding job!!! This has always been our favorite place to ski, but now we have additional lifelong memories of our special day thanks to all of you and your great work. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Forever Grateful,
Holly & Gerard -

The entire wedding and reception exceeded our expectations! It is best summed up by a comment from one of our daughter's friends who said “Well I guess we are all going to have to elope now, because none of us can top this wedding.”
Every Copper staff person we dealt with was courteous, helpful and professional. Mary Gary, our event coordinator, worked with us through every detail to plan a wonderful event. The golf staff (Scott, Jeff, Todd, Eric) were very gracious and accommodating to ensure that the ceremony at Copper Vista was beautiful and uninterrupted. The set-up staff was great. Grand Hall looked spectacular and so did the ceremony sight. Matt and his crew were very accommodating, assisting with set up and installation of our decorating vision and with our other special requests. The service staff was also outstanding --- very friendly and professional! They provided full and excellent service without ever disrupting any of the evening’s activities, taking pride in their service, always profession and yet warm and friendly. A special shout-out to the lead bartender, Jerry. Jerry always made sure that our daughter and son-in-law were taken care of with cocktails (and the parents of the bride also), and his friendly interaction with guests was awesome. Mary Lou was on top of every detail and made sure everything ran like clockwork. I guess I could sum it up by saying that your service staff didn’t ever give the indication that they were “working,” they were just the support group for this event.
The food and the beverages were wonderful!
I don’t have any big parties planned in the future, but if I did I would come to Copper Mountain and Grand Hall again in a heartbeat. In my mind, you guys should be the wedding venue of choice in all of Summit County. -

Having our wedding at Copper was the best choice we made, besides of course getting married! We are both from New England and knew we would have a lot of family and friends traveling to Colorado so we really wanted to make sure their experience was one to remember. There were four things that were important to us; excellent food, awesome photos, a great party, and one place to have all of the events, including lodging. The Copper team went above and beyond to make sure that happened for us.
From the start of picking dates and venues with Shannon to the last drink served at the reception, everything was well planned and executed smoothly. As many people know, planning your wedding can be a lot of work but our catering manager, Kyle, made it seem effortless. She took the time to talk through the little things and made it fun when I was most overwhelmed. When it came time for the big day, the Food & Beverage team made everything flow so seamlessly that I was able to fully enjoy our wedding without a single worry. Best of all, our family and friends raved about everything - lodging accommodations, the activities at Copper, and most of all the amazing meals. Their only complaint was that they had to go home! With all the choices you make as a bride, Copper is an easy one. -

Affordable Mountain Resort that is Stunning!
We went with Copper Mountain because they ended up being the most affordable ski/mountain resort destination location. They ended up being so much more though. They were extremely flexible and willing to work with us. They provided many services in one location with no extra costs or fees, including food, decorations and wedding coordinator. The food was amazing and we received so many compliments. Everyone was great to work with.
The one thing we were most gracious for was that they set up and took down all the decor. I had brought in my own center pieces, wedding favors, place cards, etc. And they took care of it all.
It ended up being a beautiful day!! -

We had the most amazing experience at Copper Mountain for our wedding! My husband and I knew we wanted to get married at Solitude Station the second we stepped foot off the lift, the views are absolutely amazing! We knew majority of our guests were coming from out of state and we wanted them to get the full Colorado experience and boy did they get it!!! We were so lucky because we had the most perfect weather all weekend! Majority of our guests arrived on Thursday which gave them plenty of time to explore the precious mountain villages Copper has to offer but also gave them plenty of time to rent bikes and explore beautiful Summit County! Our friends and family absolutely fell in love with Colorado and Copper Mountain! We had a small set back because the chair lift wasn't working but Mary Gary and Copper were so accommodating and helpful. The alternative was a bus that drove us up the mountain and it was a total blast! I was experiencing the wedding day jitters and the bus ride totally calmed all my nerves and gave me and opportunity to relax and goof off with all of my bridesmaids! Did I mention the weather was absolutely perfect? Blue skies and 74 degrees, we couldn't have been happier! The bus ride back down from Solitude Station was so much fun because we were able to celebrate with our bridal party as husband and wife!! The Grand Hall was our next stop and everyone was so helpful and kind! The large porch is where many of our guests congregated and it was absolutely perfect. We are so happy with our decision to get married at Copper Mountain and would do it all over again if we could!! -

Our wedding at Copper was PERFECT. Copper handles so much that the wedding day was stress-free! They took care of linens, silverware, glassware, table arrangements, food, alcohol, dance floor set up, and even the cake! I was a little nervous about using them for the cake bc I didn't see a lot of examples of cakes that their pastry chef had done ahead of time, but ours was beautiful and the flavor (pistachio) was delicious. We chose to get married at the Copper Vista rather than Solitude Station because we didn't want the hassle of getting everyone up and down the mountain. It was perfect -- everyone went right into the Grand Hall and got the party started. I really appreciated them having some level of decorations and lights out on the deck -- that sort of thing would have been a pain to have to arrange but made the deck look so much more festive. They were also accommodating in letting us bring in a case of our own wine when they couldn't get it provided from their vendor (although it was an extra $15 a bottle it was worth it). -

A Dream Wedding in the Rockies
Such an incredible venue! Copper Mountain exceeded our expectations in every way. The Aerie Lodge is a stunning, high-end space with unbeatable mountain views that truly made our wedding unforgettable. Our guests raved about the food and couldn’t stop talking about the scenery. Even our wedding team commented that Copper Mountain outshines Vail Resorts when it comes to both views and service—a value that’s hard to beat.
The planning process was smooth overall, with only a few minor misunderstandings that the staff handled with professionalism and grace. A special shoutout to Mika—she was amazing, full of creative ideas, and incredibly patient with our endless questions.
On the day itself, so many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever attended. The gondola ride up to the venue was such a unique and memorable experience, especially for guests who had never been that high in the mountains before.
We would 10/10 recommend Copper Mountain to anyone looking to get married in the Colorado Rockies. The views, the service, and the overall experience are second to none! -

It was exactly what we wanted, but a LOT of stress to get there.
Okay. Before I write reviews where I have mixed feelings, I think to think long and hard. Its been over a year and I still feel the same way I did when I left Copper the day after our ceremony and reception. So I think my criticism is legit and not just a super stressed out bride moment.
First, I'll say I loved my wedding at Copper Mountain, which took place Feb 2018. It was as perfect as perfect can get. We chose the venue because it was meaningful to us and it is my FAVORITE ski area in Colorado. Marisa, who was our Copper assigned coordinator, was super helpful and wonderful to work with. She made magic happen and we could not be more thankful for her.
But then, there were some seriously bonehead moves on the part of the venue that made me give it a less than perfect rating. It still makes me boil over when I think about the amount of money spent and how slipshod some of this seemed to be. It made me think, facetiously of course, "Wow, have they EVER done a wedding here before?!"
So here's what was upsetting, and it was enough to make me think twice before I'd recommend this venue.
The first mistake we made was not hiring an outside cake maker. Copper will try to convince you not to. DO NOT LISTEN. Pay the $300 to have an outside cake brought it. Here is why: All I wanted was a simple, three tier cake with ivory frosting/fondant and to have my florist bring some sprigs for the decoration of the cake. This would have cost me $500, maybe, plus the $300 to bring it in from the outside for a total of $800. Instead, Copper got me then slapped me with hidden costs. They tell you you can have as many flavors as I wanted, and they knew I wanted three different flavors, one in each of the three tiers. What was not mentioned until 2 weeks before the big day was that EACH FLAVOR costs $3 extra PER GUEST. Yes, you got that right. If you want a cake made by Copper, it will cost you (I think) $3 per guest. If you'd like a second flavor, it will cost you $6. A third will cost you $9. PER GUEST. My cake ended up costing me $1100.00ish for a three tier, no frills ivory frosted cake. And then of course, I had to pay my florist for the decor that Copper did not provide since this insanity wasn't the florist's fault. My cake was exactly what I wanted, but I should have gotten it made elsewhere.
To add insult to injury, they did not bother to serve the bride and groom slices of cake. So by the time we made our way through all the hellos to the back of the room to get a slice, they had taken the remaining pieces away. We didn't even get to have our $1100 dessert. Ridiculous.
And then...
When we first arrived, we were given a room. Initially, I'm thinking... okay, its fine... but it was quite small and on the first floor. And there was construction RIGHT outside our patio door. Which started at 7:30 am. But I digress. The first night, I didn't get a wink of sleep because there was a soft, but unmistakable noise that sounded like an alarm clock going off in an adjacent room. No alarm clock, and the night staff could not find the source of the noise. We tried calling and getting another room. The night crew stated they did not have any rooms to move us to and help of any kind until the morning manager got there. So I got 2 hours of sleep.
That morning, we were moved to a room they had intended to give to one of our groomsmen (I know this because they put him in our old room when he arrived that afternoon). And even worse, as we found the next day, the room we stayed in that night was HALF the size of the room they intended to give to our groomsmen.
I will say, in a small measure of recovery for Copper, the morning manager called me as SOON as he arrived and IMMEDIATELY had the bellhop take us and our things to the second floor suite which we spent the remainder of the time in. This room was PERFECT. So the big question is.... why wouldn't Copper have put the bride and groom in the BEST suite they could offer in the first place?! It made NO sense and was beyond stressful that they were so unhelpful in the middle of a sleepless night. For the bride! It was beyond unbelievable.
Additionally, it is important to note we were moved at 8am. Which means this room had been available all night, because I seriously doubt the occupants left earlier than that AND the cleaning crew had a chance to make the room spotless before 7:30am when the morning manager said the bellhop was coming immediately to move us. Which means.... the night staff lied to us about the availability of another room and let me, the bride, stay up all night listening to that terrible noise... and then my husband, who thankfully was unmoved by the noise, was awoken at 7:30 by the construction. Truly unbelievable.
Maybe I'm being nitpicky. Maybe not. But make sure if you choose this venue, ask for Marisa, get an outside cake, and make sure when you check in they've got you in their BEST available suite above the ground floor :) -
