  Consonance Music is an awesome choice for a wedding cocktail hour

  It was a pleasure working with Vasiliy to do the prep work before the wedding. The performance at the wedding was pleasing and lots of guests complimented the choice of music played. Guests enjoyed the performance very much!

  Great communication, very talented!

  Vasiliy at Consonance Music was a pleasure to work with! Very professional, great communication, and incredibly talented! Guests commented to me that they were very impressed with our string duo. We had to postpone our wedding a year due to COVID and Vasiliy honored our original contracy, which was so appreciated. Highly recommend!

  Top notch live wedding music from Consonance Music

  We chose Consonance Music for live music during our ceremony and cocktail hour during our wedding in September 2019 and were thrilled with their service from start to finish. Working with Vasiliy was a great experience from the very first time I spoke with him after coming across Consonance Music on the Wedding Wire; he was always very friendly and made the entire process of booking and coordinating the live music as straightforward and easy as it could have been. We decided to book a piano and violin combo for the wedding ceremony and solo piano music during the cocktail hour to utilize the grand piano in the venue. Vasiliy was very accomodating for the special request or two that we had for the setlist and the music created the perfect backdrop for both the ceremony and the cocktail hour. We highly recommend Consonance Music for their easiness to work with and top-class professionalism and musical ability.

  Amazing and talented group

  I worked with Vasiliy to plan my ceremony music for my wedding. I went with the String Trio (Violin, Viola, and Cello) and they were excellent. He was super easy to work with and flexible to changes that I made up until the week before. They played:
  "Bittersweet Symphony" - The Verve
  "All You Need it Love" - The Beatles
  "Perfect Day" - Lou Reed
  "A Thousand Years" - Christina Perri
  "Canon in D" - Pachelbel
  
  They dressed professionally as well. The only thing I would recommend is speaking with your venue prior to them coming and getting the approval for where they can set up. I wasn't a fan of where my venue placed them in the ceremony area.

  We strongly recommend the string quartet from Consonance Music. Vasiliy and the string quartet performed the ceremony music for our wedding. Their pricing was fair and their musicianship was excellent. We received many compliments on the music at the wedding. With the cost of planning a wedding, we were unsure that we could include live music in our budget. But looking back, it was one of the best choices we made and can honestly say it TRANSFORMED our ceremony. They were perfect; book them ASAP.

He is so warm, experienced and extremely professional. The the of my wedding the string quartet showed up beautifully dressed and did an amazing job with the music. All of my guests were raving about how the string quartet added such a special touch to the ceremony. I would recommend his group to anyone with my eyes closed! Thank you so much consonance music!

We booked for our wedding ceremony music for 7/8/17 and we could not be happier! All of our guests were “ WOWED” by the beautiful sound of the guitarist. We picked out our musical selections and the guitarist made our garden ceremony magical! THANK YOU SO MUCH CONSONANCE MUSIC! We hope to use this company when and if we have any future events where we would like live music! My only regret is that we did not book for our cocktail hour! BOOK THIS COMPANY TODAY!   Consonance Music provided a string quartet for our ceremony and pre-ceremony music. Choosing the ceremony music was actually the hardest decision that my husband and I made for our wedding. My husband is a classical music composer and was worried that any live music we hired wouldn’t be good enough, since we were planning our wedding from out of state and had to rely on recordings on the internet to make our decision. Finally, just a little over a month before the wedding, I told my husband that it was important to me to have live musicians and created a request for bids on Gigmasters.com. We listened to samples of the three bids we received, and Consonance Music was the best. They were also very reasonably priced! We decided to hire them and are so happy with the decision. Our guests complimented them and even my husband thought they were good. The bridal processional (Che gelida manina) nearly had people in tears. My only regret is that I didn’t get to hear any of the pre-ceremony music because we were taking photos in another location.

  There are plenty of good string quartets in the NYC area. There is ONE Consonance Music. What Vasiliy was able to put together for my wedding was nothing short of magic. We had another quartet scheduled to play but 2 weeks before the wedding they had to cancel on us. My fiancee and I proceeded to freak out but luckily we were put in contact with Vasiliy and the good folks at Consonance Music. Coming from a music background myself I knew exactly what I wanted played and how I wanted it played, to the exact measure. Some of the pieces were already in Consonance’s huge repertoire, however many were not. In these cases they would either seek out the sheet music or create an arrangement themselves. I never heard a ‘no’ or ‘I don’t think we can do that’. I requested everything from Hello by Adele to Viva La Vida to A Ribbon in the Sky to As Time Goes By to Canon in D. They even played Classic Man along with the DJ as I walked down the aisle. And to say my guests enjoyed the music is the understatement of the year. They played with emotion, song after song, perpetually outdoing themselves taking the audience on a journey before the wedding even began. After the ceremony the first thing a close friend said was “I can’t believe they played A Whole New World. That was the best thing ever… until they played the Game of Thrones Theme. And I’m not gonna lie, that Force Theme from Star Wars made me shed a tear… oh yeah and Congratulations!” Consonance Music stepped in at the last minute, in an impossible situation and completely knocked it out of the park. I’ll never be able to thank Vasiliy and the rest of the quartet enough. If you’re looking for the best… do yourself a favor and book these guys ASAP.
