Perfect Surprise Proposal Photoshoot!
Jelani was exceptional! From the moment I reached out to set up a surprise proposal/engagement shoot until we received our photos, he could not have been easier to work with and the entire experience was perfect. Despite changing the time and venue multiple times, Jelani adjusted his schedule without hesitation to suit our needs. After describing my plan on how to keep the proposal a surprise, Jelani executed it flawlessly and captured the raw emotion of the moment. He then led us through an hour long photoshoot, and you could tell he throughly researched the perfect poses for the occasion. Excellent work and communication. My ceremony was in a cave, which is low-light and difficult to even walk in, so I appreciate the effort to work in that environment. The photos look beautiful which is impressive because I am very awkward!

We hired Jelani Davis as our wedding photographer and we have no regrets! Communication from initial contact to after the wedding was consistent, professional and timely. The entire process from booking to receiving the photos was seamless and smooth. Jelani was very flexible and understanding of the specific shots we were looking for on our special day. He is very conscientious of the surroundings and has a knack to streamline and captivate each moment of our wedding day. We LOVED the candid shots and the specific couple pose shots. He was able to guide every shot revealing his professionalism and skill set. Although it was very hot during our photoshoot, Jelani was able to keep our spirits high and made us laugh throughout the shoot. We highly recommend Jelani and we will be contacting him again for future photoshoots!

Professional, knowledgeable, best experience with a photographer we've ever had!
Jelani was an amazing photographer and professional throughout our whole wedding. We had an outdoor wedding in the middle of July - so it was hot. Our ceremony was also delayed 20mins but Jelani got us back on schedule by coordinating the photos quickly and confidently. He was definitely not shy about directing traffic and ensuring there were no distractions in the background of our shots. Every extra request or extra picture opportunity was met with professionalism and honesty. We told Jelani we wanted a particular pose or shot and he told us where to stand, where to look. There was never a “no that won’t work” response. We couldn’t be more impressed with the outcome of the photos either. Those “must have” shots of placing our rings, saying our vows, candid shots throughout the day, he even captured the lighting of our unity candle with flame crystal clear on a sunny day! It was impressive. Highly recommend!

The perfect photography experience
Jelani did a wonderful job with our wedding photos! He made everything easy and helped my husband and I pose (we are not the most comfortable in front of the camera) for beautiful pictures. Professional and we relived our story.
Conscious Dream was literally a dream. They made the stressful wedding pictures easy and gave us a story. My husband and I are not ones for picture taking, but they made us relive our story on our wedding day. It was so special, professional, and the pictures turned out amazing. The editing was perfect and I loved every single picture. They worked longer then scheduled with fair pricing. Their name truly is fitting. Jelani was perfect from start to finish. We received our picture on time and very quickly. We loved his energy and he had a great personality with the guest and with the wedding party. he got some of the best candid shots I have ever seen and our family and friends have loved them so much. Best photographer!
So I need to give this guy a shout out. We changed our wedding last minute a only gave ourselves two months to plan it. We changed it to a extremely small wedding for just us and our close family. I started looking up photographers only like a month and a half to month before the wedding was. While researching I was finding all of these big photographers and non of their replies were personal. I emailed this guy on a Saturday or Sunday and he replied within a few hours. I was amazed. We had multiple locations (that were all pretty close together) that we wanted him to go to. He had no problem with that at all. Our wedding was pretty much a disorganized mess but in a good way. He kept everything going and moving. He but up with my crazy family with a bunch of babies. He was in great spirits and just all together a great guy! We had a lot of fun being his customers and if we ever need to hire a photographer again we will definitely reach out to him.
We lost my mother in law unexpectedly about two weeks after our wedding and I emailed him to see if he had any more photos of her from the day. (The last true day we got to be with her) and he was able to send me more pictures.
We love all of the pictures he took!!

10/10 Personable and Flexible Photographer
His communication for scheduling was prompt and helpful. We had a last minute schedule change and Jelani was accommodating and understanding. Jelani answered my questions and concerns about our wedding day and assured us in the process. We had so much fun on the day of the wedding and when we got the pictures, we were very pleased and loved the candid shots! Jelani had some fun ideas and he was also open to our ideas too.
Overall, Jelani went above and beyond to make sure every aspect of our day was captured!

Jelani was very professional and has a great way of combining structured photos with the relaxed and caught by surprise photos. He was able to select their perfect backgrounds with what he had to work with. He is very personable as well. This way he is able to capture more of the real you. Jelani captured every important moment we wanted and some that we didn't know that we wanted.
There are so many things to say about Jelani and the quality of his work. First, he was a pleasure to work with. He was extremely professional throughout the entire process, responded quickly to questions and concerns, arrived on time, and was flexible to our needs. He was also respectful of the church service and was able to capture beautiful moments without interrupting or distracting from the sacredness of the event. Second, we could not be more pleased with his photos. They are amazing and better than we could have imagined. He captured every important moment we wanted and some that we didn't know that we wanted. I would recommend him to anyone, anytime.

The pictures will stay forever.
I was able to see Jelani's work at my best-friend's wedding where I was one of the bridesmaids. He was able to capture the most amazing pictures of the guests, like myself, as well as special moments between my friend and I. There were hugs with my best-friend, and he captured the moment when I caught the bouquet. Those are great memories that I do want to keep with me. That night is gone but the pictures he took of the guests, the wedding party, and the wedding itself will stay forever. I recommend Jelani for future weddings and events as he went above and beyond to make sure we had amazing pictures and memories of this special night.

We hired Jelani for our wedding back in 2014 and he did not did disappoint. He took care in making sure he got the right angle even if it meant getting on the floor or putting himself in an awkward position.
