Absolutely amazing

Connie was such a pleasure to work with. She was so accommodating and helpful. She looked into all of my honeymoon destination ideas, answered all of my questions, and truly got me the best deal on our all inclusive honeymoon package. Tropical Depression Imelda took a hit on Houston the week of my wedding and flooded our airport. The night of our wedding at 1 o’clock in the morning our flights got canceled and by 8:00 AM the next morning Connie had all of our hotel, flights and excursions refunded and re-booked at another location. Sandals even upgraded our rooms, waive the cost difference and gave us a free couples massage. We could not have done this without Connie and I am already planning our one year anniversary trip with her.

We are so happy we used Connie as our travel agent for our honeymoon to St Lucia! From finding the perfect destination, the perfect sandals resort, and the perfect room, Connie was incredibly helpful, responsive, friendly, and professional. We highly recommend Sandals La Toc! We made several specific requests for different excursions and things to do on our honeymoon, and Connie always came through and followed up quickly with organized receipts, itineraries, confirmation emails, etc. Thank you Connie for making our vacation experience such a breeze! We will definitely be using Connie again for future vacations!

My wife and I had a great time on our trip to Jamaica. Connie did an amazing job helping find the right place for our honeymoon. Everything was perfect and already setup when we got there which allowed us to have the worry and stress free time we were looking for. We look forward to working with Connie again for our future trips.

Connie arranged everything for our honeymoon to St Lucia in June 2018. She did an absolutely amazing job, our honeymoon was perfect in every way! She made planning very easy and offered us several options within our budget. Anytime we had questions, she was very quick to respond. It took all of the stress out of honeymoon planning off of us. All we had to do was pick a destination and resort and pay!

Connie recommended the Sandals Regency La Toc in St Lucia. The service and food were top notch. Our suite at the resort was fantastic, very clean and comfortable. We splurged on butler service.. so worth it. Weather was a bit rainy at times, but that’s to be expected in a rainforest climate. Great recommendation from Connie! We will definitely be returning.

Connie is nothing short of perfection! She is friendly and accommodating and made the planning of our honeymoon so easy! We had one small issue with a Spa Voucher during our stay and we emailed her from across the world, she fixed the issue from home in about 15 minutes from the time we emailed. Absolutely amazing! I would recommend her services to anyone!!

Working with Connie made planning our honeymoon a great, stress-free process. We came across her information listed online as a Sandals certified travel agent and reached out to her. She responded to us incredibly fast and set up a call with us to help us figure out what would be the best trip for us based on what we were looking for, time of year, activities we wanted to do, etc. We ended up having a great trip and can't wait to work with her to plan our next vacation!

We are two travel nurses who met Connie Dellafave on one of our assignments in Houston, TX. She is very nice and professional and went above and beyond our expectations. She showed to care for us as people as well as customers. We were constantly busy and she was very patient with us and our hectic schedules. Connie did everything from communicating with the wedding venue all the way in Mexico to speaking to each family member and friend that was attending our wedding. She kept us up to date about things going on with her schedule and was professional the entire time from the moment we booked our wedding venue until after the wedding day. If we were to write about everything Connie helped us with we would write for hours. In short Connie is the best person to book and plan your wedding with. Connie is amazing! She booked our first cruise for us last year and was so helpful when the ship ran into engine problems and changed our itinerary/changed the ports the week before we were scheduled to depart. Even though it was last minute, Connie handled everything for us! She got us a refund and found us another cruise that worked with our schedule and went to the same ports as the cruise we had originally booked! Our first experience with her was so great that we just recently had her book our second cruise and are working with her on our honeymoon plans as well! She is super quick with her responses, does the research and contacts whoever she needs to in order to get more information for you, and is so pleasant to work with! We highly recommend her! :)

There are not enough words that I could say to express how professional, responsive, flexible, and valuable Connie was while ensuring that every single concern I had while planning my wedding, and arranging the travel accommodations for me and all of my guests. Connie went beyond the call of duty the entire step of the way, and everything worked out great. I have used other travel agents in the past that I had to cancel because of trust issues. Working with Connie, trust never became an issue she was always accessible no matter where she or I was during various times. She booked my entire wedding party, and guests for my destination wedding at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort in Jamaica, which was about 40+ and everything worked out FANTASTIC! Her quality of service was A1, but way better than the steak sauce!!!! lol Connie was truly an angel sent to me at the perfect time for my destination wedding experience, I am blessed beyond measures for her and her phenomenal service.

The destination wedding I planned with Connie at the La Paz Waterfall Gardens turned out more amazing than I could have even imagined. Connie and the la Paz Waterfall Gardens exceeded my expectations. It was the most stress free planning and wedding day. This was my first time ever using a travel agent and it was a great experience. I told Connie i needed to plan my honeymoon and that my wife wanted to go to location with a beach. Connie helped me narrow down multiple locations down to one in Jamaica. It was the perfect location for us to spend our honeymoon. Connie was able to get everything down to the room location on the resort perfect (away from noise, but close enough to walk to the fun). If you are looking to plan any type of trip Connie is knowledgable, responsive, and very helpful.

Connie was hands down the best travel coordinator I could have imagined! We met at the Houston Bridal Extravaganza back in January of this year. After a few months of me procrastinating on planning our honeymoon, she contacted me to offer her help. Within a few weeks we had all the details and planning complete. All the way up until the wedding she was prompt and always answered any question I had. She was very knowledgeable and excited to help me plan. She made us feel important and treated us like close friends. I will never have to search for any other travel coordinator again, she will ALWAYS be our first choice. We ended up going to the Sandals Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It was a blast and I have to thank Connie for all the hard work and planning she put in to make our week absolutely perfect. For anyone looking to find a travel coordinator, Connie would be a wonderful choice.

Connie was more than accommodating and extremely helpful through this whole process. I reached out to Connie after seeing her at a bridal event in Houston. She was incredibly attentive, detail oriented, and was always just a phone call or email away if I had questions or concerns. She is certified by Sandals as an expert on their resorts, and helped us pick the one that best fell within our budget, and would still have good weather in January. Ms. Connie has a true passion for this line of work. She will work tirelessly through the night to make sure you are aware of all of your options and if you don't like any of them she will bring you a whole new line up. She was always quick to return emails, easy to discuss matters over the phone with and answered every question I could ask. The trip itself had a lot of moving parts and there was never one hiccup. Everything ran very smoothly. Now our trip wasn't a wedding, we did a scuba-diving trip to playa del carmen, Mexico, but if Ms. Connie handles your trip with the level of professionalism and enthusiasm as ours you will the best destination wedding ever.

Be careful about booking certain "excursions" online beforehand. We booked ours beforehand because we were afraid of not getting a spot on the excursion we thought looked neat online, but there was plenty of availability to choose whichever excursions we wanted to once we got there. We could have made a much more informed decision about which excursion to choose if we had waited until we got to St. Lucia.

Destination Wedding Planning Disaster

We decided to do a destination wedding in July 2019, and it's taken me several months to be able to write this review without attached emotion, anger, disappointment and frustration. I used to plan weddings for a living, and I understand the pressure and stress that goes along with this job; therefore, we decided to work with someone to handle our group travel arrangements. I stumbled upon Connie's great reviews and chose to work with her for our group block. What I failed to do was take into consideration that most of these reviews were for individual honeymoon travel or very small destination weddings. She may be great at that, but I'd highly advise NOT working with her for a larger group (we had 25 rooms and 55 guests). Unfortunately, the process became a nightmare, and I ended up working with most of my guests to confirm communications and travel arrangements which added extra stress to an already stressed out bride - the very thing I was trying to avoid!

What went wrong? For starters, My dad, FOB, had secured his 2-bedroom suite for my elderly grandparents, him and my mom (or so he thought he did) in October 2018. Connie reached out to him in May 2019, informing him there were no 2-bedroom suites available and that she had misquoted him by $5,000 less that what their rooms cost. Instead of taking responsibility for her mistake, she blamed it on her Business Development Manager and made my parents pay the additional $5,000+ for two rooms. To top it off, she guaranteed that the two rooms would be next to each other in case something happened to my grandparents, and upon check-in there were no notes made on the reservations causing them to be TWO BUILDINGS away from each other.

That was just one of her MANY excuses for her MANY mistakes. She quoted several of our guests rates for a different wedding at a different resort, she was non-responsive to not only my father and me, but to ALL of our guests 90% of the time, she missed planning calls with the on-site wedding planner that she had promised to be a part of, she lied to us stating we had fulfilled our commitment only to find out AFTER the wedding, she was keeping $2400 of our deposit which resulted in a personal family feud due to her inconsiderate lack of communication and disorganization. She was extremely unprofessional and unethical in her "business" decision making.

We were supposed to get married at Hard Rock Resort in Punta Cana, but due to some scary tourist issues in May/June, we decided to change our location to Hard Rock Riviera Maya about 35 days prior to the wedding. The Hard Rock was more than willing to work with us and had availability, but we couldn't get any information or responses from Connie. Imagine the stress! I know this is a long review, but if it can help save one bride from going through the same stress, tears, frustration and the embarrassment of choosing Connie as our travel agent, that I went through, it's worth it.

In closing, I'll leave you with part of an email that was sent to Connie so you have a glimpse into our experience:

In a nutshell Connie, I am extremely disappointed in you, your company and how you handled the entire event. Your constant excuse making, in almost every piece of communication, your misquoting people on rates, including myself, rooms for my parents not being next to us, misspellings, room pricing, because if you go online and look at room rates at Hard Rock Punta Cana vs Hard Rock Riviera Maya, Riviera Maya is less expensive and the rate was not adjusted. You indicated you upgraded our rooms, which in our opinion was simply a method for you and Pleasant Holidays to make more profit. You make mention that PH and Hard Rock had no issues with us changing locations and didn't charge us to do so. Not sure we believe that as they just kept the room pricing the same, but suggested that they upgraded the rooms. They made more money off each of the room nights booked. That's how we got charged for the change.

I was not involved in all of the conversations you had with Kaley, so I can only go on her word nor was I involved with any for the guests conversations, with you, so I can only go with what their word as well. That said, I tried very hard to be cordial with you throughout, when actually I could have been very difficult with some of your responses and/or lack thereof, but I wasn't.

While I am sure you could care less because you have washed your hands with this event and you know you will never serve anyone in this group again, I will let you know up front, you and PH will be seeing some very very poor reviews by myself, Kaley and many of the guests. This due to all of the disappointment by many. There is not one guest that didn't have some sort of comment about how poorly you handled their reservations, at some point, as well as how poorly your communication was throughout the entire process. Honestly it is very hard to believe that we all made it there and this was even stated to the entire group by one of the guests.

In closing Connie, we believe you are pulling a very unethical and deceitful maneuver in not providing a full refund to Kaley. I will only say that if it were my business and you were my employee and I knew you handled this event the way that you did, you would be looking for another job. Simply speaking, you should be very ashamed of your handling of the entire event, communications, excuses and use it as a training as "What Not to do to be Successful in Event Planning."
