A highlight of our wedding

Our wedding cake was definitely a highlight of our wedding!! From design to final product, Juan did an incredible job of brining our vision to life! He helped us design (and sketch out) an 80s inspired wedding cake adorned with bells, swans, columns and angels. Juan absolutely succeed in taking on the challenge of building a unique, vintage cake.

In addition to looking amazing, the cake tasted great (we received so many compliments on it!). Our cake was chocolate and vanilla with chocolate fudge and cannoli filling- everyone loved it! Also, as a bonus, if you are getting married at Park Chateau, like we did, Juan provides the desserts for the Viennese table, so if you want something special for the Viennese hour, he can help with special requests!!

Definitely work with Juan if you have the chance. He is amazing!

The BEST wedding cake!

After trying Conca D'Oro's pastries and cake from our venue's wedding showcase, we knew we had to use them for our wedding! We worked with Juan who was so kind and knowledgeable. He made the entire wedding cake selection process a breeze! My husband and I chose a four-tier black and white cake with cherry, chocolate pudding, and cannoli filling. It was truly the best cake I've ever had! Our guests also loved the gourmet passed desserts and pedestal pastries. Thank you, Juan, and the entire Conca D'Oro team for everything!

A beautiful and delicious cake!

Juan Lopez is the kindest man and his cakes are the best. We booked Conca D'Oro for our wedding cake as well as white rainbow cookies for the wedding. The cake and cookies were delicious and Juan was a pleasure to work with the entire time, especially after postponing due to COVID. Everything went smoothly and it turned out just like we wanted!

Can not beat the taste

We had an option to use either Conca di'oro or another very popular bakery. We originally went with the other one because they were more local for us. To be honest, we were extremely underwhelmed not only by the taste and quality of their cakes, but by the service we were offered. We opted for cupcakes instead of a cake and they were not very accommodating about it, even after we expressed not minding having to pay extra. They didnt offer any decorative options and we're very limited in what they would offer in general. We went to a vendor showcase at our venue and met with the owner of Conca d'oro, he was friendly and inviting and his buttercream was out of this world. We ended up going for a tasting with him, and he blew is away. Not only was he accommodating to our wishes, he added some professional input. He did the cupcakes for the guests, but also offered a small cake for the top of our tower so we still had something to cut and to take home for tradition. The day of came and everything was beautiful, fresh and so delicious. We are so happy we switched and 100% recommend using them if you have the option.

you are out of this world outstanding !!!!! We first came to you when we booked our wedding with The Park Savoy Estate ! We first visited you in January for a prince baby shower cake ! And our guests are still raving ! Almost two weeks ago you did our wedding cake and OMG was it delishious ! Exactly what we wanted that's what you delivered a scruptious out of this world experience ! And what can we say bout the Flan and other pastries at the wedding ! I couldn't stop eating them ! Specially the coconut Flan !!!! Wow!!!!!!!! You delivered ! Our guests won't stop talking and asking questions ! Thank you for being so inviting providing such an extraordinary service ! Conca D'Oro did an amazing job for our wedding cake. My husband and I went for a tasting and loved it! We decided on a vanilla and chocolate sponge layered with chocolate pudding and canoli filling and cherries. I am not a huge fan of cake but their options were incredible! I even showed them a picture of exactly what I wanted and they replicated it perfectly. This place is a great choice for your wedding cake! The owner is super friendly and accommodating.

They are one of the bakeries Nanina's in the park contracts with. Juan went through my cake design ideas with me and sketched my cake right before my eyes. I wanted a art deco design without all the fondant covering and boy did he deliver not only a beautiful cake but a delicious one as well. It was a very tasty canoli cream with strawberries and chocolate moose filled vanilla cake. I paid more fue to the design specifications than what was covered on the Naninas contract but it was absolutely worth it. Thank you Juan!

Juan and his staff did an amazing job with our wedding cake! It was not only beautiful, but also delicious. Everyone complimented how elegant it looked. Juan also helped me to surprise my groom with a Steelers helmet grooms cake! Conca D'Oro also supplied all the deserts for the vienesse hour at The Park Savoy which were delicious! Conca D'Oro provided our wedding cake and all of the viennese dessert table treats for our October 2015 wedding at the Park Savoy. We went into the shop a few months in advance and found it hard to leave -- Juan set us up with a plate full of tasty cake fillings to try and let us take our time to decide (aka eat the whole plate). We were so impressed by him, his shop, and his baking that we invited my parents to come over and taste his treats. We left with a pie, a box of cookies, and a rum cake (which was on the house!) -- not to mention full bellies and a lot of excitement. On our wedding day, we weren't disappointed. The cake was GORGEOUS - created exactly how we had discussed, and it tasted out of this world. A wedding cake you could actually eat and enjoy. The rest of the desserts were overwhelming. Needless to say, people left our wedding saying they had never eaten so much in their life, and they were sad the dessert spread had come last or else they would have eaten more! My cake was so fantastic! everybody raved about it. it was moist picture perfect and exactly what i asked for. i had an additional cake tasting after this one that i ended up canceling because they had me at first taste. Thanks conca D'Oro!!!

We got married at the Park Savoy, and they have 3 bakeries you can choose from. Being a dessert lover, and most of all cake lover, this was one of the most important decisions I was going to make for my wedding!!! At one of the events the park savoy held, all 3 bakeries were present, and once I had a bite of the cake from Conca D'Oro my mind was immediately made up!! It was sooooo delicious! When my husband and I went to do the tasting, Juan was amazing and made awesome delicious suggestions! He did such a beautiful job on the design, it was exactly what I wanted and more! and not only was it beautiful, but amazingly delicious! I can't wait for our anniversary so I can have another bite! Not only is Juan a talented baker, but a great person and I really enjoyed working with him! Thank you Juan for making the wedding cake of my dreams!

My husband and i got married at the park savoy in nj. We were given three bakeries to choose from for our wedding cake. After we did our cake tasting we were convinced that Conca D'oro was going to do our cake. Juan was able to work with us regarding the design of the cake and the different flavors. Our guests loved the cake...it was perfect. Their connoli, chocolate custard and italian cherries filling is amazing. We will be ordering our cakes from Juan at Conca D'Oro for future events.

Our cake was SO GOOD! The cake, mousse filing, and the marshmallow icing were delicious! My husband and I thought it was so tasty that I ordered a mini-version for his recent birthday. Not only did it taste good, it looked great! We used a combo of circular and square layers, decorated with purple flowers, and a decorative white pattern on the frosting which gave the cake a bit of extra texture and flourish. The gentleman who runs the bakery is also delightful to work with and has a huge amount of experiences with wedding cakes!

As a wedding planner and a baker, finding the right vendors for my own wedding was a top priority and I personally tasted the cakes at a number of bakeries before choosing Conca d'Oro. Without a doubt, I know I made the best choice as the cakes from the other bakeries tasted commercial and heavy. The difference with Conca d'Oro is that their cakes are made entirely from scratch. They are not the biggest bakery and don't make tons of cakes each weekend, but that's a positive because they are making each one in a very personal way. Our cake turned out not only beautiful, but delicious as well and I know its because it was made with great care. I highly recommend them for any special occasion.

We were looking for a different type of texture for our cake and Conca D'oro really worked with us so that we could achieve the look we wanted. We were thrilled with the way it came out and many guest commented on how beautiful it looked.

Juan did an outstanding job with our cake- he was extremely helpful in helping us design the cake and he was so wonderful when I called later on to make changes. The cake was so beautiful and delicious! It fit our colors and style perfectly.

I completely forgot to confirm what our cake was supposed to be and the night before this company made me the cake of my dreams. They were very understanding and the cake was delicious and beautiful.

My cake was absolutely delicious. Juan was so helpful with everything and let us taste anything we wanted over and over again just to make sure that the choices would blend well together. We met with him once throughout the whole process and it still came out perfect (except the color was a bit different than what we had asked for). I don't even like processed fruit in my cakes and I ate every bit of it. I can't wait for my one year anniversary to eat the rest of it. They were so professional with us even though the reception hall was the one paying them for the cake and not us.

Our venue, Galloping Hill Caterers in Union, uses this bakery for the wedding cakes. I think the cake that is included in the wedding buffet option is a 3 tier, all white wedding cake. We upgraded to a 4 tier cake of different colors for an upgrade fee of less than $200 so it was definitely worth it. We provided some ribbon for the cake and also the cake topper. The cake testing was scheduled a few months before the wedding and the owner, Juan, was very helpful. There are dozens of options to choose from! The cake turned out to be DELICIOUS! All our guests loved it. Even after a few days after the wedding, the consistency of the cake remained as if it was just freshly made. The flavors (we chose vanilla/chocolate cake with chocolate mousse/strawberry) were just perfect! We will definitely use this bakery again for other needs. Thank you for a beautiful cake!

I would have loved to give a better review for this bakery. This is my local baker, we go to them for all of our birthday and special occasion cakes, not to mention the out of this world Cannoli's. We did not do any other tastings, because we had already known the quality of the product. We had chosen a chocolate and vanilla cake with a buttercream frosting and the signature filling of Cannoli filling, Chocolate and Vanilla whip along with a cherry compote.
Interactions with the bakery went seamlessly, no issues with cake delivery or with working with the caterer.
The cake was beautifully decorated with attention to details, our flowers were Calla Lillies and they were able to recreate them perfectly.
Unfortunately the cake was very dry, not what we were used to from Conca D'Oro, the filling was scant and you could barely detect all of different fillings used to create the signature filling. A few of our guests also had said the cake was dry (we are both avid Yelp users, and Yelp Elites) so we appreciated the honest feedback. This cake was our biggest and only disappointment of our wedding , we had told so many of our guests about awesome this cake was going to be, only to be let down terribly.

Terrible ruined my cake

What a disgrace this place is. They ruined my cake pictures. I will never go here again.

The tiers were crooked and not straight and they never brought my cake topper to the wedding. My maitre d called and had someone bring it but the reinforcement was never put in the cake to hold our topper so they had my $150 Lenox cake topper NEXT to my cake.

first let me say my review has nothing to do with the quality of their pastries, it is about how they run their business. My wedding is next week (4/22) I had ordered my cake through my venue, as Conca had an agreement with them, we even paid for upgrades on our cake. Today, a week before my wedding, I received a call from Juan, the owner, who rudely and abruptly informed me that he was no longer doing business with my venue and (at least) would be refunding our upgrades. After numerous back and fourth calls with my venue (who is fabulous) I was informed that it was Juan who has decided to pull out of working with my venue and WILL NOT honor previously committed weddings. Now I am scrambling with a week to find a wedding cake. How someone can do business with no moral compass is beyond me. How someone can just decide on a whim that they will not make someone's wedding cake a week before their wedding is totally unacceptable. Be careful when doing business with them because last minute they can just decide "well I'm not doing this, guess they are screwed!". I'm totally disgusted by the way the run their business.
