I just wanted to say THANK YOU!! From the very beginning everything has been amazing. Your amazing work, professionalism, sense of humor lol, everything!!! Our engagement shoot was perfect. The best mua

I had the pleasure of booking Alaina for my destination wedding in Portugal in April. She was amazing, and my wedding makeup turned out so beautiful. She is very professional, timely, warm-hearted, and a perfectionist with her makeup application. She applied my makeup around 7 a,m., and it lasted throughout day including during the afterparty (around 2 a.m.). I was shocked because I suffer from oily skin but my face remained oil-free the entire day. I am so grateful to have used Alaina for my wedding day, and I absolutely loved my makeup.

Quality and Quantity

I went to school with Josh, I knew when I wanted to hire Josh before my husband even proposed, lol. Josh’s work is impeccable! He made me feel extremely comfortable when we took engagement photos and he made sure he got the perfect poses on my wedding day! He was flexible with our payments and he is worth the money, every single cent! I can’t wait to get my photos printed! I love them! Thank you Josh! And of course you have to hire Alaina! She’s the best make up artist in the industry! She’s so sweet and down to earth! Although they’re both successful their success hasn’t gone to their head! It’s so great to see how they’ve flourished from 2 young kids in love, to 2 bosses running a business! Book with Color Du Jour! You will thank yourself for it!

I was combing through emails my initial response was inaccurate, my wedding coordinator selected my star ratings (they were not mine). I happily give Alaina 5 stars across the board. My apologies to the Color Du Jour team. Three years later and felt strongly about correcting this, that's how great she is!
Original review: Alaina and her team are very professional. I opted to do a trial with her and it was totally worth it. I thought that I wanted a particular look but when I saw it with my dress I decided to change a few things. Alaina listened to me and made suggestions, she was very helpful. On my wedding day, she had my whole bridal squad looking so glam which is exactly what I wanted. I was beyond happy with my look and was so happy that my makeup lasted through out the whole night. I would recommend Alaina to any bride who wants to look and feel glam on their big day!!! Also, check out her husband, Josh, for photography. The Color du Jour team compliments each other and you can see it in all of the photos! Hire them!!!!!

We never spoke only emails transactions up to the Morning of my 10th wedding anniversary. Alaina showed up on time and the conversations started flowing. I was amazed at how down to earth, humble and very nice she was to me and everyone around. She made me feel like a QUEEN 🙌🏽🙌🏽She followed me around during the ceremony into reception up to the minute she had to leave. I love makeup and being dolled up but my face stayed intact up to 2am and I’ve never felt that beautiful in my entire life. I’m truly grateful and so glad I booked Alaina for my event and will book her for many more in the future. On the day of my wedding, I didn’t want to worry about how my make-up would turn out. After attending one of Alaina’s classes, I knew without a doubt that she would go over and beyond to make sure my bridesmaids and I were happy. I repeatedly told my bridesmaids before the wedding to trust me. Alaina would make us all look like goddesses. Alaina, thank you for making my bridesmaids and I feel and look beautiful! I’ve always been a fan and supporter of your work. You have an amazing humble spirit. After you left, my bridesmaids and I couldn’t stop talking about how sweet and professional you were. Alaina is a BEAST!!!!!! she is sooooo talented, extremely professional and very friendly. She has an awesome personality.
I booked Alaina to do my make up in Maryland for my wedding and she was with me every step of the way. SHE's a PERFECTIONIST like seriously lol, which is really good because she makes sure that you look flawless on your wedding day.
I mean you cannot go wrong booking her on your wedding day, she will give you the RIGHT look and some glow too :)

Alaina is hands down one of the best makeup artists that I've gone to. I booked her for my engagement pictures and also for my wedding day. Each time she did my makeup I had little to no idea how I wanted it done. After explaining to her somewhat of a look I wanted she made her magic happen and every time my makeup turned out flawless! Alaina takes her time to understand exactly what you want and is super sweet along the way. She also did my bridesmaids makeup and of course each one of them looked beautiful. I love her work and look forward to booking her for future events.

Service was beyond amazing!! We looked gorgeous, she made us all feel comfortable and relaxed and mostly was very detailed with her work and quality!! Very prompt and professional while keeping the happiness and fun going as well. One of the best decisions for my wedding was having Color Du Jour do my wedding party makeup. I had my wedding party makeup completed on site. The studio was clean and convenient. We were able to bring breakfast and mimosas. There was a fridge in the back to store the champagne. We were also able to get dressed here. I was able to bring my own licensed hair stylist at no extra charge. We were given the room that was sectioned off from the rest of the studio.

Alaina and Ronnee serviced me and my bridal party. Alaina completed my makeup. Alaina was one of the 1st vendors I chose for my wedding. I KNEW I wanted her. She did not disappoint. My makeup lasted the entire night. She is very attentive and she made me feel comfortable to request any changes or dislike (which Is a plus for someone like me).

I wanted to request her 1 year out but she only allows for up to 6 months. At the time I booked (6 months exactly) she already had inquires for my date.

Wow! Alaina was absolutely amazing! She did my make up for my engagement shoot and wedding. Everything was flawless. She did my bridesmaids makeup and they all looked so beautiful. My experience with Alaina was special. I was blessed to have with me on the day i traditionally got married and on my wedding day. The booking process was so easy and effortless that i thought it was too good to be true. I met Alaina during one of my photo shoots. We immediately clicked as she talked to me about her own experience. This allowed me to get comfortable with her. Not only was she listening to me, i believe she really understood me and brought out the inner me in my makeup. She is the definition of professional, classy, and knows the importance of pleasing her client without compromise. She is IN LOVE with her work which says something. She did not stop until she was satisfied. i couldn't imagine having these 2 important days without Alaina. I look forward to her doing my makeup for ALL important events in the future. Omg, could not be happier with how my bridesmaids and I looked on my special day. Makeup stayed all day and pple could not stop talking about our look. OK so i have always loved Alaina's work and so when my planner A Conceal affair told me she was available i booked without hesitation ...She was the only MUA we talked to. We did a trial session for my engagement shoot i did not know what i wanted so i just showed her my outfits and let her do her magic.. She went with bold eyes and soft lips(i had really short hair at the time so she wanted to give me an edgier look). For the day of we did the opposite softer eyes and bold lips(same look on the bridal party). My make up stayed on all day is was soo sad when i had to wash it off. Alaina was extremely sweet and fun to work with all the girls loved her. If you are on the fence about picking her she is totally worth it and you will absolutely not regret it.

Not sure where to begin with Alaina because she is just that GREAT!!!! I used her for my engagement photos and my makeup was FLAWLESS and lasted the entire afternoon and evening and so beautiful I didn't want to remove it lol :). She really takes your vision and makes it a realty times ten :). I also used her for my wedding day makeup and this was actually the first thing I booked before anything in my wedding because I knew she would be great! Alaina was so sweet and really helped me to remain calm pre wedding. She made my mom look so beautiful as well. My bridal makeup turned out absolutely AMAZING and I felt like I was a princess, so amazing that people/blogs are still complementing me a year later on how amazing my bridal makeup was. I always recommend her to anyone I know looking for a good "beat" because you can honestly tell that she loves her craft and has perfected it. Alaina is super talented, professional, and such a delight to work with. I had one makeup trial with her and honestly on the wedding day I wasn't worried at all. That morning I sat in her chair & just let her work - and my goodness the result was breathtaking. I've never had makeup applied so perfectly and so quickly too. I received so many compliments that day - with the most important one from my husband who thought I looked stunning :).
If you need a makeup artist who's very professional, passionate about her work, fun, needs little direction, very good with time management, and most of all easy to work with - then Alaina is your girl. I had 8 people scheduled for makeup and she worked through with such speed and finesse with all eight looking fabulous at the end.
I wish she lived closer to me so I could use her more often - but I will definitely be booking her again for any future functions.
Alaina, I can't thank you enough for traveling to Cancun in spite of Hurricane Harvey to make sure I looked flawless on my wedding day. Each time I look at my wedding photos I'll always remember you, and I'll keep thanking you in my heart for making me look stunning on that day.

Alaina was a dream come true. I attended her NY/NJ makeup class. i learned so many new technicques and how to improve my business duruing her seminar. I was always a fan of her work and i was impressed before but after witnessing her work in person i was truly blown away. shes such a beautiul person inside out. I reached out to her the monday after i atteneded her class and she responded quickly. i sent her a deposit that same day and she sent me my contract that day. the process of booking her was seamless although she is located in another state.I got married september 10, 2017 in brooklyn , Alaina showed up early that morning with a bright smile on her face and in great spirits. she beautified my bridesmaids, my mom and me. a total of 9 faces, she worked quickly and everyones makeup looked flawless. she also stayed around to do touch ups for me and the girls while the photographer and videographer captured shots. our makeup lasted all day and looked flawless in every picture. I am a makeup artist myself so it was important for me to find someone to do amazing work and Alaina was the perfect person. In the midst of hurricane Harvey she traveled to brooklyn new york from Houston Texas to beautify me for my wedding day. That speaks volumes on her character and professionalism. If i had to do it all over again i would book her in a heartbeat. I hightly reccomend her shes the perfect answer to an upcoming brde. she gave me the rose gold glamourous look i envisioned for my wedding. she added that special touch to a perfect day. Shes the best you will never regret booking her.

Because am based in Canada, Alaina and l did not get an opportunity to do a trail makeup session for my wedding. She just showed up on my wedding day and my goodness did she do such an amazing job. I trusted her with my wedding day make up and l must say when you deal with professionals you will never be disappointed. I have no regrets about choosing Alaina from Color Du Jour for my wedding day makeup. She was very professional throughout the entire process. When I first decided to use her services, I asked several questions in order to get a better understanding of what I would be offered. I was nervous that it might overwhelm her. Contrary to my belief, she answered all my questions promptly and in a professional manner. This increased my confidence in her abilities. Furthermore, Color Du Jour's website provides great images and explanations of what to expect with the services that are provided. When I finally received my services, it was obvious that she is truly talented. The way that she is able to enhance your beauty in ways that you could never imagine is amazing. In addition, Alaina is so friendly, she relates well with her customers, and caters to everyone's needs. On my wedding day, she provided services for nine women. She came very early in order to complete everyone's looks on time. She even did touch ups on everyone after she was finished. Myself and all of my bridesmaids could not stop commenting about how satisfied we were with Alaina's work after she left. Alaina was absolutely magical!!! I couldn't have dreamed she would do such an awesome job with my wedding part and I. I would pay 10X her requested amount if i had to do it all over again. I couldn't stop gushing because i felt so beautiful. I received so many compliments and inquires on who did our make up. She was very punctual, professional and knowledgable of her craft. The wedding party and I can't wait to take the hands on classes she offers in multiple states. Moscato and mascara. If your kind of shy about new people doing your face you can rest assured it will be perfect after Alaina is done working her magic!

Alaina was the absolute best to work with! I booked her probably a year before my wedding date, and everybody thought I was crazy for booking so early, but I knew I wanted her to do my makeup the day of my wedding, even without having to have worked with her before. She was the absolute sweetest, and most patient person ever. She made my bridesmaids and mother and mother in law look absolutely flawless. I felt like such a Princess because of how beautiful she did my makeup. I was simple perfection. We even stayed calm the entire time, while everyone around us was going crazy because of the time crunch. I simply had my music playlist (which we discovered we have the same taste in, lol) and stayed calm throughout the entire process. Thank you Alaina! It was such a pleasure working with you!! Alaina was a pleasure to work with from the start. She was the first vendor I booked for my wedding. I had her work and felt very comfortable booking her even prior to a consultation. I also appreciated that my inquiry about her services was answered very quickly as well as the contract to secure my date with her. When I attended my consultation Alaina was very personable, answered all of my questions and put me at ease. On the day of my wedding, Alaina did makeup for my entire bridal party who were all different ethnicities (Korean, Indian, Hispanic) and everyone looked perfect! We had a 9am start time although my wedding started in the evening. Everyone's makeup remained flawless through taking pictures outdoors, the ceremony and the reception. I would recommend Alaina without any reservation. She made me feel beautiful on my wedding day and I could not imagine entrusting my makeup to anyone else!

Alaina was a dream come true make up artist on the morning of my wedding. She arrived right on time at 6:30 am and got busy right way. She started on a few bridesmaids and then worked on me. When I sat in her chair it my first time that I was able to catch my breath on such a hectic day. She offered kind words and her calming spirit only added to the positive experience. Once I saw my face I was beyond pleased with the outcome. Guest complimented me on my make up throughout the day.. We left our reception around 11:30pm and the make up lasted ALL night. That was a major concern of mine, but her high quality products exceeded my expectations. I definitely plan on using her for future events! Thanks so much Alaina!

Alaina is truly a talented professional. She made me look and feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding!!! I knew once I was engaged, I wanted to use Color Du Jour services. Alaina was originally booked when I tried to make a wedding day appointment. I was crushed! After I reached out to her, she made every effort to keep me informed if her schedule cleared and even provided me with a referral. I was grateful for her willingness to help me. She was so nice and very responsive to all of my emails. Eventually, her schedule cleared (thank goodness!!) and I quickly made an appointment. Alaina made sure to ask me about my skin and what type of look I wanted for the big day. She did the makeup for me and 6 of my bridesmaids. Everyone was flawless!! Alaina is hands down the best!! She is so friendly and her work is amazing! She listens to what you want and doesnt just do her own thing! She can do any type of look that you want and with any skin type and complexion. And she did an amazing job on my tattoo cover-up on my back, it stayed on all day even though I know all 230 guests rubbed my back with every hug they gave!!! I was so impressed. Alaina, with Color Dujour is one of the most beautiful people I know, and it shows in her work! For my wedding she did an exceptional job, I wouldn't have had this day without her by my side. Every bride wants to look their best on their big day, and I truly felt like a princess. She took care of my entire wedding party, including the 2 mothers, for a total of 11. My wedding was located in the Dominican Republic, and everything was perfect. Due to the size of my party and my wedding start time, we started around 3:30am, she was on time with everything. All of my ladies looked amazing. She even captured beautiful pictures of my ceremony, I am so thankful for her. Alaina is amazing! Any event that happens in my life, I will always make sure she's available before picking my date, that's how awesome she is!

Alaina is amazing! There was no need for me to do a bridal consultation, I was very familiar with her work! I'm a makeup artist myself and I admire her work so much, If she couldn't do my makeup for my wedding I was going to do it myself lol!

Alaina nailed the look that I wanted for my wedding day! I still look back on pictures from the wedding and I'm still in awe about how flawless I was!

Alaina is the BEST!!! She did me and my bridal parties make-up as well as my mom and sister's and she made us look incredible. She was there from morning till right before the ceremony to touch up everyones makeup which was at 6 p.m. She was so professional, calm and easy to talk!! I had no idea as to what colors to choose for the bridesmaids make-up, so she just came up with something and it came out AMAZING!! Alaina is AWESOME!! My wedding party had to be ready by 3:30 and she started my group of 8 at 8 am and everyone still looked flawless until the wedding at 6 30 in the evening. I literally can't say enough good things about her. She is super sweet and her work is perfect. Choosing ColorDuJour as the makeup artist for my wedding was a no brainer. From the moment I came across her work, I knew she was the one who would be doing my makeup. She was very fast at replying to all my emails, which is a major plus for me.

She answered every question I had and was very patient with me when I was trying to decide the exact package I wanted.
On the day of the wedding, she showed up on time, and was very professional and always had a smile on her face. She paid close attention to the looks myself and my bridesmaids were going for and she delivered perfectly.

My wedding makeup was a total win. Everyone loved it. From the very conservative to the more flamboyant guests at my wedding, the one thing they could all agree on was that my makeup was amazing and Flawless.

Alaina was the sweetest, kindest and most professional MUA I have ever encountered. You know a MUA is good when you have to book a year out!!! From start to finish, she was extremely helpful. She was so good that each time I fell asleep! She began working on my bridal party at 5:30 a.m. and was able to spend extra special time on each one of us, including me. I had a very pleasant experience with Alaina. From my makeup trial, she was very attentive about the kind of look I wanted and she took her time to execute it. On my wedding day, Alaina arrived on time with a smile on her face. Wedding mornings can be stressful, and it's nice when your vendors treat you like the bride. She took her time to create the exact look I wanted. She did a great job of my mum's makeup as well. It was a long day for us as she had to come to the reception to do my touchups. Not only did the makeup last all day but she was very patient and creative with changing my lips and eyes to match my various outfits (and even helped me with changing outfits).

Alaina is very good at what she does but what set her apart for me is her positive attitude, professionalism and the fact that she listens to you. She responded to my many emails promptly during the planning process and was able to accommodate some changes here and there. I look forward to using her every time I need my makeup done professionally and I highly recommend her.

This is the best make up artist on the planet. Not only did she make me and my bridal party look beautiful and feel our best, she was very prompt and professional the whole time. From the start she was always very responsive and made me feel at ease about my big day. I booked her about 2 months away from my wedding and didn't have time to do a consultation first however, she made me feel so comfortable and based on pictures of her work I knew she would do a great job. I can't say enough good things about Alaina. She is so kind, professional, personable and most of all incredibly talented. I had a huge bridal party - 8 bridesmaids, myself, my mom, 2 junior bridesmaids and 3 flower girls, and she came at 7 am to start makeup and didn't leave until almost 5 pm. I'm sure she must have been tired, but it most certainly did not show up her work or in her demeanor! She was smiling and laughing with us through it all, and all my girls looked STUNNING. She even stayed after everyone was done so that she could do touch-ups on everyone before we went to the church, which I greatly appreciated!

I highly recommend Alaina for any makeup services, not just weddings (she also did my makeup for a Celebrity Meet & Greet and concert with my favorite band the week before my wedding and it was so beautiful)! If you book her you will definitely look and feel like a princess on your big day!

Alaina was a joy to work with. She was prompt, professional and organized. She's also very personable which was needed because my level of nervousness was at an all time high that day. She even stayed around after I was dressed and showed me a trick to keep from sweating. I wanted two different looks for my ceremony and reception. Once the ceremony was complete, she touched up my make-up before going into my reception. Can't get better customer service than that.

Alaina masterfully transformed my bridal party into red carpet ready beauties. Her technique is truly transformative, yet naturally gorgeous. Alaina is so sweet and professional. Although it was my wedding, I wanted my bridesmaids to feel glamorous on that day as well. All of the ladies loved her work ( they took tons of selfies all night), and I received so many compliments from friends and family about the makeup! Color Du Jour did my makeup for my bridals and for my wedding day. I have had my makeup done several times and never liked the result, but at my first trial with Color Du Jour went perfect. I brought her a picture, explained to her the look I was trying to achieve, and she gave me a few suggestions that would be better for my eye shape. When she was done, my makeup looked beautiful and flawless. It was exactly what I wanted. Alaina is very personable and takes pride in every one of her clients because she truly enjoys being a makeup artist. My mom and sister were also very pleased with their looks the day of the wedding. My makeup was done by Color Du Jour for both my bridal portraits and wedding festivities. On top of how great she was, her personality was very sweet and enjoyable. For both sittings, my makeup was done beautifully and I received numerous compliments. She also did the makeup for my bridesmaids who also loved her work. It was well worth the fee. I would definitely and have already recommended her to all of my friends. I have no complaints. She is an extremely talented makeup artist.

Alaina is so talented. Other make up artists and companies don't even compare. She was very professional and had a schedule prepared well in advance, which unfortunately my hair stylists did not, so this is not always the standard in the industry, although it should be.

Alaina and her team are very professional. I opted to do a trial with her and it was totally worth it. I thought that I wanted a particular look but when I saw it with my dress I decided to change a few things. Alaina listed to me and made suggestions, she was very helpful. On my wedding day, she had my whole bridal squad looking so glam which is exactly what I wanted. I was beyond happy with my look and was so happy that my makeup lasted through out the whole night. I would recommend Alaina to any bride who wants to look and feel glam on their big day!!! Also, check out her husband, Josh, for photography. The Color du Jour team compliments each other and you can see it in all of the photos! Hire them!!!!!

Disappointed with staff trying to book wedding date!!

Over the past year I have called and spoken with several people at Alaina’s Studio concerning booking her for my wedding.
Standard policy, Alina can only book 9mths in advance for a full day.
I called the studio on May 29 and talked with the young lady that answered the phone, she explained I could do an inquiry online or she could put a hold on the date. I asked what’s the difference and she explained a hold on the date allows the studio to call me if anyone else inquires about the the same date allowing me first opportunity to pay my deposit and secure the date.
I replied this is awesome, let’s do it. On yesterday June 10, 2019 I called Alina’s studio to pay my deposit and the young lady asked for my information, I gave her my name, told her she could search by my date, I already have a hold on the day. She tells me yes I can see it on the calendar however...my heart sinks hearing the word HOWEVER. She continues this date has already been reserved and is no longer available. I explained I have a hold on this date, I was told I’d receive a call should anyone inquire, how did this happen? This is a very special day for me and I’ve been waiting an entire year!!!
If I’d known this would happen, I would have reserved on my last call back on 5/29/19 when he day was still available.
I asked to speak with someone and the young lady explained Alina’s husband is out of the office, Alina is out of the office. I can take a message and have Alina’s husband (whom I’ve also spoken with in the past and has answered questions for me) call you back. I gave the young lady my phone number and asked how long will it take to receive a call back, she replied I don’t know. I’m very disappointed in the process I was told would work! It failed me and I can’t explain the amount of hurt felt by not receiving a phone call for the date I reserved on hold so I could book with Alina. I’m not sure if I will receive a phone call or what can be done now that Alina has another contract for my wedding date. I’ve waited a whole year with excitement only to end with great disappointment. I now have to start all over in search of another makeup artist. I’m so very hurt by this experience , I tried calling back twice and was sent to voicemail. Wonder if the young lady that took my call...cleaned up her calendar after our phone conversation to cover up the office mistake.
