Best weddkng venue especially for a winter wedding
I highly recommend if you are planning a wedding to choose the colonial hotel. Not only is the atmosphere gorgeous and beautiful, but if you are having a winter wedding the staff will set up the venue with all the winter decor. Everyone at my wedding complimented on the hotel and decor all night. The staff that work here are amazing especially my wedding planner Mary and her assistant Emily. During the entire planning process they always got back to me right on time withbany questions or concerns that I had. My first appointment they went over all the different package choices they had for planning a wedding and they were all budget friendly. They set up all the decor I had for the wedding day beautifully. The team is talented, great hospitality, and they seriously want what's best for the married couple on their wedding day. Not only are the staff amazing, the venue itself amazing, but the food was delicious. Everyone at my wedding complimented on the food all night. Again if you are looking for a place to get married chek out the colonial hotel. You won't be disappointed!

2025 Colonial Wedding
We had our wedding at the colonial in November 2025 and had the absolute best experience we could’ve asked for. Mary and her team are incredible, they took our vision and executed it better than we could’ve imagined. We still have guests raving about the quality of the food saying it was the best they’ve ever had at a wedding. We were treated like royalty during our stay, all the staff were so friendly and helpful. I cannot put into words how perfect our day was thanks to those at the colonial. I would HIGHLY recommend having your wedding here, you will not regret it.

Best Day Ever
Our wedding day was the best day of our life thanks to Mary, Anya, and the Colonial's team! I would highly recommend this venue! #1 reason is Mary & Anya! #2 reason is the convenience of having everything in one spot, less things to plan, less people to organize with! From the first visit, Mary made us feel at ease and that she knew exactly what needed to happen. She was so kind and attentive and I instantly trusted her. Throughout the whole process Mary and Anya were great at communication, alway responded to every little question that popped in my head. The weekend of the wedding they continued to be amazing, helping us through all last minute issues and questions. The venue its self was a huge win for us. It was so great having everything in one place. More than half our guests stayed over night on site. The restaurant and bar were so convenient for brunch. We had our rehearsal dinner and after party on site and even rented the salon for hair and makeup. We didn't leave the hotel for the whole weekend and it was great! Our nieces and nephews also really enjoyed the game room and pool. We were also able to have our dog at our ceremony and stay at the hotel which was a huge priority for us!

A classic venue where the service goes above and beyond!
We booked the Colonial Hotel for our wedding day in July 2025 and had a great experience working with Mary and her team. They were incredibly proactive, attentive and thoughtful throughout the venue evaluation process, wedding planning months and wedding day. Mary’s timely responses, attention to detail and industry experience made planning feel achievable and stress-free.
During the wedding day, the team went above and beyond with many thoughtful gestures such as ensuring the wedding party had refreshments during the formal photoshoot (they wheeled a cart outside to meet us during the shoot), wrapping up the remainder of our wedding cake, and decorating the bridal suite with the floral centerpieces rather than throwing them away (we came back to a beautifully decorated room at the end of the night, and in the morning many of our guests took home a centerpiece).
We could all relax and enjoy the wedding day because we fully trusted Mary and her team to take care of the setup, schedule adherence and logistics. The food and drinks were a hit, and the hotel rooms were cozy and comfortable. The bridal suite in particular was spacious, decked out with great amenities and had lots of seating for the bridal party. The rest of the hotel (foyer, cocktail tent, ballroom) provided an incredible backdrop for our wedding - the spaces were absolutely beautiful with all the lighting and decorations. We would highly recommend The Colonial Hotel for future weddings!

My dream wedding

Great all around!
The staff at the Colonial is so welcoming to begin with that you feel like you are trusting an old friend with the details of your event. They ask about your idea of what you'd like to have the event look like and they make wonderful suggestions. They make you feel so at ease. Their attention to detail is off the charts. I would highly suggest that you give the Colonial as an event venue. We couldn't be more happy with everything that they did. Will definitely recommend to everyone that we know!

Mary & the Colonial are amazing!
The Colonial Hotel was the perfect place to host our wedding. We stayed over the night before and got ready there the morning of, and had our cocktail hour and reception under the tent. From the first email, Mary was beyond helpful and communicative. She made the entire process as smooth as possible. I always felt like she had it under control! She even let us drop off our decor a couple weeks in advance, and then her and her team handled all of the setup. Although I was extremely involved in the planning during my engagement, Mary made it easy to enjoy the day and forget about all of the little things. The convenience of the Colonial Grille made it easy to continue on to our after party. The food was great and so were the drinks! The best part was finishing pictures and immediately having Mary deliver my new husband & I our signature cocktails without having to ask. Their partnership with Gerardos also made the cake process extremely easy. Would 10000000% recommend working with Mary & her team for your big day!

Magical Christmas Wedding
I couldn't have dreamed of how my wedding turned out! Mary and the crew at the Colonial were honestly the best ever! They were so attentive to detail and made sure that everything went on without a hitch! With over 200 guests, we had a lot to wrangle, but they did it! I loved being able to have the ceremony, reception, after-party, and hotel all in one! I can't rave about or thank them more for everything! 1000/10!!!!

Mary and her team are AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, DEDICATED, and RESPONSIVE!!!! I can’t say enough good things. Our wedding ran so smoothly from start to finish. Amazing Venue! Incredible Staff!
Mary and her team were incredible! They truly made our big day so stress free and everything we dreamed of! They pay attention to all the small details and work so hard to make every moment absolutely perfect! Before the wedding they were extremely responsive, always willing to answer any questions I had. Highly recommend this venue to everyone! The food is amazing, and our guests are still talking about it, and how much fun they had! If you are debating having your wedding at a hotel venue, do it and pick the Colonial Hotel!

Excellent Venue Choice!
Our June wedding at the Colonial was absolutely perfect! Mary and her team made our dreams come true. They were incredibly responsive in communicating, assisted with decision making and kept our wedding weekend flowing smoothly and right on schedule.
The Colonial had everything we needed from Friday through Sunday. We had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on site at the grille, our ceremony outside at the pergola, cocktail hour at the outdoor tent/patio, reception in the ballroom and after party at the grille. Sunday there was an optional breakfast as well. The ease of plenty of hotel rooms and virtually no transportation the entire weekend made our lives (and our guests lives) easier!
The staff kept the timeline of events and logistics clear and direct. They were always nearby for any need, big or small. The grounds were immaculate, food and drink were great, the setup and decor exceeded my expectations and the entire day really was perfect. The suites were spacious and the bridal parties had lots of room to get ready and enjoy the morning. The standard rooms had options for two queens or a king, handicap accessibility as well as pet friendly rooms. The rates were reasonable and the room block had plenty of rooms, even for our larger wedding.
I highly recommend the Colonial as a wedding venue. I would consider this an all-in-one venue which gave us more time to spend with each other and guests and eliminated the need for transportation between sites. Thankful for them and the celebration we had there!

Amazing Experience!
After getting engaged, we started researching venues. The Colonial was the closest in proximity to our home so we figured we’d venture out to check it out first. In fact, after our first tour there, we booked a date! The convenience of having everything all in one location is ideal for bridal party and for guests. Mary and the staff were wonderful start to finish. They kept our timeline on schedule, helped assemble & dissemble the decor, and checked in on us throughout the day to make sure we were good. The food was great - the portions were generous and we received many compliments throughout the evening. The bridal suite (there are multiple suites) was huge, fit everyone comfortably while getting ready. I can’t say enough nice things about our experience. I’d absolutely consider booking them as your wedding spot!

It's the wedding coordinator's!
Clearly a gorgeous venue especially now with its see through tent roof. The secret sauce to this venue is Mary and Emily, your..EVERYTHING!! The amount of thought, time and energy they put into my daughters wedding was spectacular and they actually seem to enjoy doing it all!1 Their knowledge of how to make your wedding day a smooth and wonderful event is un matched! The special touches they added were such a nice surprise, i cannot recommend this venue enough because of these two wonderful coordinators!!

Easy Planning and Smooth Day
I can't say enough about how wonderful our wedding day was. Every step of the planning process was easy. They had every detail ready to go. They had many vendors that they use that I could chose from. They were always ready to answer my questions. Even with a summer wedding they already had back up plans for rain. The staff was very professional and the food was perfect. I was glad to have everything at one location so my guests didn't need to travel in between. The facility is big and had so much parking. I am so thankful we had our special day here.

We LOVED our experience at the Colonial for our 10/6/22 wedding. Mary is an absolute dream to work with and her team is responsive, professional, and works very hard to take care of their guests. We had a small wedding but the day was perfect and they made sure we were calm, happy, fed, and comfortable. The bridal suite was stunning and we really loved the special touch of the champagne waiting for us at the end of the night. Great Wedding Venue
Mary and her team were great at the Colonial Hotel. They listened to everything that was important to us and worked with us on what we wanted. Originally, we were going to have an outdoor wedding but at the rehearsal it looked like it would rain during the ceremony time. Mary was upfront about what our options were and made sure we had plenty of time to decide. When we decided to move it into the ballroom her team was able to get the ballroom set up that night in time so we could have the rehearsal in there. Day of the team was attentive to our needs. They have a salon on site you can use for the hair and makeup team so there is plenty of room. The tent was gorgeous, and everything was set up how we wanted it. It was so hot out that I didn't eat much of my dinner or the cake and when we got back to our room there was a plate waiting for me with my meal and some of our cake. The hotel room was set up for us with the centerpieces from our table and so soft and romantic. We didn't have to worry about clean up the team took care of that, and everything was in our room before we got there so it made leaving the next day for our honeymoon super easy.

Amazing venue , amazing staff
We visited the Colonial hotel in the winter 2021 to see about our upcoming wedding for this summer. We met with Mary , the wedding planner. Mary is the Colonial hotels “Queen” of wedding planning , her personality and professionalism was out of this world ! She made the process of planning a wedding so stress free and amazing ! It has been a week since my daughters wedding and I am still getting emails, texts and calls from guests telling me it was the best wedding they have ever been to!!
Mary and the staff were MORE than accommodating and put up with numerous phone calls, emails and surprise visits(we live down the street lol)
We had many guests staying overnight and everyone was happy with their stay.
We danced all night, closed down the restaurant after and had a nice breakfast (for 68 people) the next morning.
Everything was smooth sailing and it was the BEST night of our lives (especially my daughters)….I do not have ONE complaint and I HIGHLY recommend The Colonial!!

Best venue ever
We were married on 12/11/2021 at the Colonial Hotel and it’s honestly one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. The hotel itself is exquisitely beautiful, and we knew the moment we pulled up it was the spot for us. The exterior was decorated so beautifully for Christmas and the inside was even more spectacular. So far our pictures have been amazing and we can’t wait to see more! Our guests told us all night and continue to tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to! Everyone really loved the convenience of having all events for the weekend in the same location, and trust me if you are planning your wedding yourself - having it all in the same spot relieves so much stress and anxiety! Mary and the staff at the Colonial were INCREDIBLE, so professional and responsive to my every question (there were many) and made us feel so at ease and special. We had our ceremony at the hotel, followed by the reception, and the after party in the Colonial Grille for our guests who weren’t ready to stop partying yet. We even served breakfast there the next morning - it was really just the whole package! Pricing for everything is extremely reasonable, we were able to afford a fully open bar for all 175 of our guests, along with the after party and breakfast as well. We also used many of their preferred vendors and are so glad we did - they all knew each other and worked seamlessly together to make our big day the most wonderful day ever. The food is delicious as well and the grand ballroom is like no other hotel reception space I’ve ever been in. You will feel the warmth of the Colonial as soon as you arrive - and every time we went back since we just felt even more ecstatic that we went with them.

A Dream Come True!
The Colonial Hotel exceeded our expectations for a wedding venue. I could go on and on about how amazing they were. The wedding coordinators made everything completely stress free. The venue is gorgeous and made for perfect photos. The appetizers and dinner course were delicious. The bridal suite (with jacuzzi and fireplace) was beautiful. Everything went SO smoothly and we didn't have to worry about anything. Our guests had SO much fun. We had an informal after party at the restaurant on site to get extra snacks and drinks in. That was amazing as well because we had a place to relax and hang out. Many of our friends said it was the best wedding they've ever been to. The prices for everything were fair. They have so many options for open bar, desserts, after party food, etc A huge thank you to Mary, Emily and Kailee for being wonderful coordinators!!!

Exceptional Service Throughout the Process
Mary and her team were exceptional! They were super easy to work with throughout the entire process and gave fantastic recommendations. When I explained the centerpieces she asked if we wanted black linens, which never would have crossed my mind, and they looked unbelievable! We wanted mother son and father daughter dances before toasts and for people to have cider and donuts as they entered the ceremony, Mary and her team accommodated our nontraditional asks with ease. Instead of getting married outside at the pergola onsight we got married in the ballroom as it rained all day. They made the ballroom look absolutely spectacular. They set up an aisle in part of the room and partitioned the rest off so you couldn't see any of the tables. It was just as if not more beautiful than being outside would have been. I could go on and on but the point is Mary and her team along with the staff at the Colonial Hotel executed on our vision to perfection, were easy and fun to work with, and made the day absolutely spectacular.

Our Wedding was Perfect
The colonial made my wife and I wedding perfect. From the food to the service I have no complaints at all. Our Family and friends still talk about our wedding almost 5yrs later. When were looked at this Venue we knew this was the place. Everything was just so seamless and easy, even on the day we had no issues at all. They arranged everything from the cake to flowers it just made planning a wedding so easy.

The Most Amazing Wedding
Having our wedding at the Colonial Hotel was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Mary was amazing to work with over the two year course of planning our wedding, and she was very responsive to my incessant e-mails in the weeks leading up to the big event. She was able to accommodate my mother-in-law's request for a laid back rehearsal dinner, and was willing to go to bat for us on all of our 'out of the norm' requests. The salon space for getting ready pre-wedding was unparalleled and allowed for the bridal suite to be clean right up until it was time for the girls to get dressed. The food at both the rehearsal dinner and the reception was amazing, as were all of the passed hors d'oeuvres. Our package included Chiavari chairs and floor length linens which looked absolutely stunning in the ballroom. The space is so beautiful on it's own that we needed to bring very little decorations. We requested that the Christmas decorations be up for our Thanksgiving weekend wedding, and not only did the hotel deliver but they looked amazing. I cannot recommend Mary and the sales team enough, this was the perfect venue for our wedding!

I wrote a review, but the date glitched, i got married on July 13th 2019!! It was wonderful!!
We recently just had our wedding at the Colonial Hotel. I cannot say enough about the Hotel. From the time we checked in it was absolutely perfect. We started off having our rehearsal dinner in the Colonial Grille which was low key and the food was delicious. The Reception was absolutely amazing. I still have people telling me it was the best wedding they have ever went to. Mary was there with me the whole time to answer any questions and was also with me the day of to keep me from stressing out. After the reception we went into the pub for the late night station and the hotel provided entertainment so we could keep the party going. I honestly cannot say enough about the hotel and we will be sure to recommend it to everyone. They also recently repainted the outside building and it feels like you have entered a castle.

Best Weddding Ever

Everything was Amazing!
The whole experience of planning the wedding was simple and easy with the wonderful help of Mary and Kailee. From the moment I stepped onsite to the end was an amazing. Everyone was so nice and helpful I could't have done it without them. They were always available to answer any questions I had. The food was amazing!

Perfect Place for a Wedding
The weekend started with us all coming in Friday night to have our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The great thing about the Colonial is that you can do everything here! The Rehearsal Dinner was in the Grille, the food was delicious.
Because the Colonial Hotel has so many rooms, all my wedding party and guests were able to stay the night before and night of the wedding, which made getting ready so easy! The Staff all around was just wonderful!
After the most perfect wedding, I didn't even have to clean up, they brought all decorations and gifts to my room for me! We ended a great weekend with breakfast all together back in the Grille.
I could not have picked a more perfect place for my wedding!

Wonderful! Beautiful venue - great staff!
The Colonial Hotel was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The venue is beautiful - as soon as you pull into the parking lot it looks like you're visiting a castle. They just recently renovated the exterior of the building and it looks magical. The inside of the hotel has nicely updated decor. All the rooms are updated and larger than your average hotel room. The suites we used for getting ready the day of the wedding were amazing! They're huge and even have a Jacuzzi tub which was a nice touch. The staff was amazing, they took care of everything - I didn't have to worry about a single thing. Mary and her team are wedding professionals and could probably run a wedding in their sleep they're so good! The food was spectacular - everyone loved their meals and no one had any complaints! We chose to have our reception in the tent and WOW was it gorgeous. They have beautiful chandeliers and an actual floor so you're not walking on grass. Their packages are affordable and include SO MUCH. Overall I'd say The Colonial was a 10/10 and I would highly recommend them to anyone!!!

Amazing best wedding coordinators
The wedding coordinators mary and kaylee are amazing. They make everything run perfectly. Anytime I had questions they responded immediately. I'm so glad we went with this venue. Everything was perfect from food to ceremony.

Choose the Colonial Hotel
Choosing the Colonial Hotel was one of the best decisions we made. They were so organized, thorough and pleasant to deal with! They followed up with us throughout our engagement to make sure we were on track and all of our questions were answered. The day of our wedding they were AMAZING. We didn't have to worry about a single thing. The staff at the Colonial made sure everything ran so smoothly. They coordinated with our vendors, made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. We had some custom decorations and each table had an individual centerpiece - they were all set up perfectly! The food was delicious and the staff even made sure that my husband and I each had a piece of our wedding cake waiting for us in our room since we didn't have a chance to eat it during the reception. The Colonial is definitely the right choice!!

Everything we could dream of!
Where to begin!? From day one, working with Mary and her team was a breeze. I had a million and one questions (especially the week of the big day) and someone always responded promptly and never made me feel like I was being a pain. We had our ceremony outside under the pergola and our reception in the tent to the side of the hotel. Everything was perfect, our centerpieces were set up exactly how I envisioned, the food was DELICIOUS, and our guests are still telling us how wonderful everything was. It was extremely convenient having ceremony, reception, and sleeping accommodations all in one place...working with the great team there was an added bonus. We were able to do rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding in the tavern located at the hotel and we were able to continue party into the tavern after the reception. This was great because we were able to talk to/see people we hadn't had a chance to during the actual reception. Mary made our day so easy and special...would definitely recommend the Colonial!

Truly a Christmas wedding to remember
I am not even sure where to begin. We were married Dec 08, 2018. I knew I wanted a venue that was all inclusive in its packages but also in its venue. With it being winter i did not want my guests to have to travel in between. Having the rehearsal, ceremony, reception, AND after party all in one building was beyond ideal and we received SOO many compliments that no one had to leave the hotel once they arrived. When we visited last December, I knew the instant we walked in that this was going to be my venue. There was an enormous Christmas tree next to the beautiful staircase and I was smitten. Once we met with Mary the coordinator, I was in shock at the prices and inclusiveness of the packages. Mary was very easy to work with and beyond thorough throughout the whole process. We had MANY bumps in our year with loss of family members and we had to reschedule, meetings, tastings, you name it. Mary personally would call to just check in on not only myself but my family as well. I never felt pressured into making decisions or pressured by her or the venue while life was crazy for a while. I knew somehow in their hands that this day would all come together and it truly did. Kailee also had her hand in making our day special and making sure all of our vendors and important people were informed and coordinated. I cant say enough about this venue. I truly cant wait to return for a visit.

Amazing experience!
I am so glad that we did our wedding here! When we walked into our reception everything was set up exactly how we wanted it. Everything ran so smoothly throughout the evening. The staff also packaged up our cake, gifts, decor and even our leftover food(!!) and had it all sent up to our room right after the wedding. By the time we left the after party it was all up there and ready to easily put in our car the next morning. I cannot say enough good things. Kayleigh was amazing, flexible and so easy to work with!

From start to finish everything about working with Colonial Hotel was amazing. They were responsive, kind, accommodating, and so helpful every step of the way. Our wedding was better than we had even imagined all thanks to them. I wouldn't change a single thing about the day. We are so lucky to have had our wedding there!

Great wedding venue!! Our guests loved their food choices, and the breakfast buffet the next morning was a great addition for overnight guests. Mary and Kailee were wonderful to work with!! They were always very friendly and helpful with all of the wedding planning details, and made sure everything was always on schedule. Our Hostess Taylor also did a great job! Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating too!

My daughter got married on June 23rd 2018. The Colonial Hotel made this process so easy! We just loved the ballroom and of course our wedding coordinator Mary was just the best. We had many out of town guests and they all commented on what a great venue it was . They just loved having everything in one place. We went from the reception to the pub with a DJ provided by the hotel and ordered more food for the after party there. Then the guests could go right to their room. The service was excellent and Mary made the whole process so easy. The food was delicious ! I would highly recommend the Colonial !!!

The Colonial Hotel was a 10/10 experience for my wedding. From ensuring every detail was noted, to making me feel so totally comfortable that I didn’t have to worry about anything except having the time of my life, they were true professionals. With the weather not cooperating, they quickly gave me options and helped me choose the best choices for my guests. Everything was perfect. I wouldn’t have changed a thing about my day. The food was amazing, the venue is beautiful, there are so many spots inside and out for pictures and all of the staff are amazing. I highly recommend the Colonial Hotel to aby bride who looking to have their dream wedding.

The Colonial Hotel exceeded all of our expectations. From the first meeting, Mary and her staff were extremely professional and made us confident about hosting our wedding there.
Our wedding day at The Colonial went perfectly. We held our reception in the tent, and the staff set it up beautifully. We honestly did not have to worry about a thing during the reception. The hotel worked with our vendors and made sure that everything went smoothly. Also, the food was excellent and all of our guests raved about it! Great value, excellent venue. When looking for a wedding venue, my husband and I had a few things in mind, "easy to get to," "affordable" and "fun." The colonial provided all three of these aspects of our wedding and MORE. The moment we toured The Colonial we were in complete awe. Mary, the wedding planner, was professional and honest and made our wedding day the day of our dreams. Once we arrived on site we truly were treated like royalty and did not have to worry about a thing.
The Pub (colonial bar and grill) was one part of the venue that we fell in love with right away. We did a late night food station and invited our guests to go around the corner to the pub after our dancing was over. The hotel hired a DJ and the party continued. We had over 120 of our guests stay and dance some more with us. No one had to drive to where they were staying, and even those who were not staying at the hotel came to the pub to have a blast. What was a 5 hour wedding turned into a 8 hour party!
Our goal was to have fun and let me tell you that we did. We had multiple comments from guests on how nice it was to have the ballroom, the pub, and the hotel all in one place. Not to mention the pure awe of the ballroom. I would truly recommend this setting to anyone! (I also highly recommend the late night food station!)
Also, I have an allergy myself along with multiple family members and the staff was so attentive to making sure all our meals were perfect!

Colonial hotel isn’t just a wedding venue; they were the perfect hosts for our wedding weekend! We got married on 9/16/17 at the outdoor pergola & ballroom tent; reserved 50+ rooms. We booked on in 2015 and the entire venue/packages were constantly changing to maintain a modern atmosphere and all wedding trends. Mary (wedding coordinator) was the one we closely worked with then leading up to our weekend was Kara & Sarah, plus many more! They were very accommodating and professional; they answered ALL my questions in a timely manner! For example I rented my own white dance floor; they were very accommodating with the rental company who had strict guidelines. They allowed us to store our decor due to the large amount. Friday night was when we were able to make final decision to have outside so we rehearsed l then proceeded to Colonial Grill with 37 people. The seating, display of gifts, and dinner package were all great. The morning of the wedding we had our suites pre-stocked with food/ drinks which was a more feasible option vs. catering from the grill. We did “first look” outside under the hotel arches, then moved to stairwell. That is the beauty of this hotel, there is numerous locations pending the weather or photographer ideas. We did extended family photos after the ceremony then joined cocktail hour. Intros were so organized with the combo of our vendors and staff. Dinner was a very big decision with the quality, freshness, temp, and presentation; they succeeded in all fields. Mary provided us with tons of support and guided us during the entire process on ways to save on costs. The flow of the wedding was honestly perfect, the amount of fun we had was indescribable. To have a great event you need to put hard work into planning and be prepared to spend. You need to really look at their wedding packages because they are very reasonable! My husband and I physically visited 20 venues and I had researched countless others when we finally found everything we were looking for in a venue with the Colonial Hotel! Salons that travel to the spa on site for a spa day with the girls and hair and makeup on the day of the wedding, overnight accommodations for our guests without the inconvenient 2 night minimum, beautiful outdoor ceremony area, gorgeous ballroom with hardwood floors and large windows, an equally beautiful indoor ceremony space in case of inclement weather, spacious Honeymoon Suite with a Jacuzzi and fireplace, absolutely delicious food, a restaurant and bar on-site for the rehearsal dinner and the after party, only about an hour from home and it was actually within our budget! Mary was our fabulous coordinator and answered hundreds of questions for me throughout the whole process. She did an amazing job accommodating all of our requests and making sure that there were no worries for the big day. I knew she had everything under control. She was there every step of the way and is really a pleasure to work with. I honestly can't say enough about wonderful things about Mary and the Colonial Hotel. I am so happy that my husband and I didn't settle for one of the countless venues we looked at and finally found this gem in Gardner Ma. My parents, husband and I thank you Mary and your talented professional staff for making our wedding a dream come true!

My husband and I got married at the Colonial on May 20, 2017. Everything from the planning process to the wedding day itself was absolutely smooth sailing and perfect! The staff at the Colonial were so easy going and great to work with. Mary who is the wedding coordinator there was amazing!! I would highly recommend checking out this great venue! I got married at the Colonial Hotel back in April and I have nothing but great things to say! 1st off Mary is absolutely amazing and I miss working with her! She made the whole process seamless and always answered my questions promptly but also didn’t make me feel bad for asking silly questions. She was truly amazing. The day of my wedding was honestly a dream come true. I can honestly say not one thing went wrong! We all got ready in the Hotel Spa area. Hey Good Lookn Salon came (referred to by the Colonial) and took over the salon for the morning- they were awesome to work with. The suite was amazing to get ready in too! The ceremony and reception were both held inside which ended up being stunning! We heard nothing but great things about the food (the chicken cordon blue was a fan favorite!) Our cake was part of our package and we got it through the Bean Counter. The cake was AMAZING. After the wedding we moved the party into the restaurant/bar area – it was a great after party where we had food. People ask me all the time if you could change one thing what would it be and looking back now I honestly can say that I wouldn’t have changed one thing or I wish I could relive it again! This was definitely the best night of my life and I could recommend this place for anyone’s wedding in the future!

We originally didn't want to spend so much money on one day. But we decided in the long scheme it wasn't much more then the cheaper venues and so convenient. I'm so glad we decided to do it here.
One of the greatest conveniences and selling points about the Colonial is that after the reception the bar which stays open until 2 with a DJ then, you can walk up to your spacious room. No need for you or your guest to drive anywhere.
Now that the wedding has passed, I'm so glad we decided on it. Mary and her team were great! They are very professional. Before the wedding I emailed Mary very often she always answered me and was pleased to help. When she wasn't available Sarah was there to help.
The day of the wedding was amazing. Everything went flawless they work very hard and deserve the 20% administrative fee. As a frugal person at first I thought it was a little much. But now I see why!!! We were on a very tight budget so we did our own flowers. My friend who set everything up said that the staff was amazing. They helped her fill and set up the center piece vases and decorations, without them she said she would have missed the ceremony. The ceremony was perfect, everything went as planned. The only thing I'd change is the long walk to the pagoda.
After the ceremony we had to take pictures, I figured we wouldn't get many of the hordeurvs or sangria offered to our guest. I was very wrong. We had so much food and delicious sangria. As the rest of our party went in we had a young woman who helped us during pictures holding my veil, etc.
At the reception everything was amazing our waitress Bridgett made sure we were well hydrated and taken care of. All of our guest were ranting about the food and sangria!
Over all our experience was amazing I highly recommend!!

We are on cloud 9! We just had our wedding at the Colonial on 3/25/17. The venue is beautiful with features such as hard wood floors, chiavari chairs, chandeliers, and a grand staircase for pictures. Our wedding coordinator, Mary was absolutely incredible. All of her recommendations were in our best interest, she is a true professional! She answered all of our questions and assured us our day would be perfect, which it was! Along with her staff Lindsay and Sarah they paid attention to every little detail that we wanted to include in our special day. Every piece of decor we brought was setup beautifully and displayed for our guests too see. We had a HUGE wedding (275) and they handled the crowd very well. Being able to have our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception in the same place, with the ability to accommodate all of our guests with a hotel room was KEY! It made the whole experience less stressful and more enjoyable! Using the salon in the Colonial to get ready was definitely the way to go. My bridesmaids and I had a blast getting pampered in our own space without having to tie up a hotel suite at the same time. We would highly recommend this venue to future Brides and Grooms :)

She definitely made all of the preparations leading up to the big day that much easier, as well as making sure that our actual wedding day went smoothly. The food is amazing, all of my guests mentioned how great their dinner was and compared to many other venues where you only get cheese and crackers for the cocktail hour, at the colonial for a very fair price you get hot passed appetizers as well! It was so convenient having everything there as well. We were able to have the rehearsal dinner there on Friday night and then stayed over on Friday to get ready there on Saturday morning. It definitely made it much easier not having to drive to so many places during an already busy weekend! The colonial is definitely worth taking a look at, especially if you are looking for a low stress experience with great food!

I am SO glad we decided to have our wedding at the Colonial! Our wedding was absolutely perfect - really and truly it was a dream come true for us and we heard nothing but rave reviews from all 200 of our guests. Mary is an absolute rock star! There wasn't one detail she didn't think of, or question of mine that she couldn’t answer throughout the entire planning process. You can rest assured that you are completely taken care of, especially on the day of the wedding but also every day leading up to it.One of the things I appreciated the most about our initial meetings was how upfront and clear all the pricing was. There was never any hidden costs or fees, and Mary made sure we had a very close estimate with a few different options to consider before we left her office.
Our ceremony and reception were both in the ballroom (the hotel handles this wonderfully), we used the bar & grille for our rehearsal dinner the night before, and we stayed in one of the large suites. The suites are HUGE! Big enough for 8 girls plus hair and make up to hang around and get ready in without feeling the least bit crowded. Throughout the day Mary and her staff were managing all the vendors, setting up all our decorations, guestbook table, etc. exactly as we had pictured it. All I had to do on wedding day was wake up and celebrate!
She made sure all the events that day were perfectly timed and coordinated, and everything went off without a single hitch. Our ceremony was at 6 pm, and at 6:01 I was getting my dressed fluffed and was ready to walk down the aisle.
The reception was SO much fun, the food was delicious, and of course once again Mary and team made sure that everything happened exactly as we expected it would. After the reception most people headed back to the bar for more drinks and some snacks (it's open til 2 and they bring in a DJ during wedding season).
I could go on and on - if you're considering the Colonial book it right now!! You will not regret it for a second :)

We loved having our wedding at The Colonial and would highly recommend this as a venue. Our wedding was an amazing dream come true. Mary Whitman was our coordinator and she certainly made our wedding reception unforgettable. She was easy to work with and was so responsive! She would reply to my email questions sometimes within minutes.
On our wedding day our vision turned into reality as the setup was impeccable and the coordination was on point. The food was excellent and the presentation was gorgeous! For desert, we had a candy bar and a s’more bar in addition to cake and ice cream! Moreover, we were allowed to bring in homemade Italian cookies, which were presented with the candy bar. It looked amazing.
As a venue, The Colonial was absolutely beautiful, providing us the perfect blend of elegance and class without feeling stuffy. We had our reception outside in the tent which is so beautiful, especially with the floral arrangements and candles. The inside of the building itself is gorgeously classic but still has a lot of character.
Our guests repeatable came up to us, telling us it was the BEST wedding they had ever been to. It would not have been possible without the amazing team at The Colonial. We simply can't speak highly enough of The Colonial and its staff. We are so very happy that we chose them for our special day. We will never forget how well they treated us. Thank you Mary for such a wonderful, fabulous day.

Ryan & I have been married for 2 weeks now. A common question we get asked is "So, what went really well with the wedding, and what went maybe not-so-well/not as well as expected?" Our answer? The day was perfect. We get strange looks-- doubtful looks--but it's the truth. Our wedding went off without a hitch, much thanks to Mary Whitman and the staff @ The Colonial Hotel. If we had to do it all over again, we would not change ONE SINGLE THING-- and this is the absolute truth. For this-- we truly can't thank Mary enough. She is an amazing coordinator who will make you feel confident in the planning process and confident that all things are being covered. Weddings can be stressful to plan, so it's important to have an experienced, passionate coordinator at a venue with solid wedding experience to help assist you in the process. Our ceremony was outside--the gazebo was gorgeous! The tent reception was stunning- the most beautiful thing we've seen! The draping, the chandeliers, how they decorate/set up--it's picturesque. We got married @ the end of October so it was chilly, but the tent was heated and our guests were perfectly comfortable all night! We got countless amounts of compliments on the food (people are obsessed with their stuffed-chicken haha). After the reception ended, a bunch of our guests joined us in the Tavern (open til 2 am) where we ordered pizzas and drinks and danced some more! They have entertainment at night on weekends, which was awesome! There was a DJ there who played great music and we got to continue our wedding festivities without having to pay for extra time in the reception tent! We held our rehearsal dinner at the hotel as well the night before, and again-- people raved about the food and service! (The butternut squash raviolis were the fave). We had truly the best wedding we could have ever dreamed of and look forward to staying at the Colonial Hotel around anniversaries and reminiscing about the best day of our lives! -Ryan & Katie

The Colonial Hotel was the perfect venue for my wedding! I had it under the tent and the ceremony in the ballroom. I was supposed to have it outdoors by the pagoda but due to weather and availability of the ballroom I was able to have the ceremony indoors. I loved the tent space and the beautiful draping and chandeliers. Mary Whitman is amazing! She answered all my questions and made my wedding run smoothly from start to finish!

My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and wedding at The Colonial Hotel. I am SO pleased with everything!!! Our wedding weekend was absolutely beautiful and all of our guests had a fabulous time. I literally do not have one complaint.
Our ceremony was in the garden and our reception was in the ballroom (we had 105 people). We used the really nice bar and grill for the rehearsal dinner and also guests went there after the wedding to keep the night going (it's open until 2am). The suite we stayed in was beautiful and perfect- big enough for your girls to get ready together the morning of the wedding!
The night of the wedding everything went flawlessly and was perfectly decorated. I had someone fluffing my dress as I walked down the isle, making sure the bridal party got apps and drinks during pictures, etc. Service was impeccable and food was delicious! At the end of the night my husband and I stayed in the suite and entered the room to a bottle of campaign, which was a very nice touch and made it all the more special.
Mary was WONDERFUL!!!! I can't say enough about her. She is so responsive (which is important to me) and had an answer for every single question. She made the process so easy and I feel so lucky we had her to work with.
Two other things I was to add which were concerns of mine as a bride are:
1. There were 2 weddings the night of ours. I honestly didn't even notice- the venue handles this very well.
2. Pricing is upfront and open, you don't get any surprise costs or feel like you will (unlike other venues we visited).
Overall, I can't say enough about the staff and the venue! I recommend this venue to anyone looking for a perfect wedding day!

We had our wedding at the Colonial Hotel in Gardner Mass. The wedding coordinator was amazing! The Colonial is known around my area as the wedding spot, because of the amazing prices and tent and ballroom wedding options. I was a little hesitant at first to get married “where everyone gets married” but I fell in love with the tent and the fact we could have people staying the night. Mary assured me they would make it OUR WEDDING, and they definitely fulfilled their promise, it was us to a “T” --- the tent was set up perfectly and it was so gorgeous!! The service was amazing and so helpful and the food was so delicious. I had guest commenting how they usually leave wedding hungry and how delicious the food was and they were so full from the food at the Colonial!
I would highly recommend going to the Colonial, for the price, service and location it’s a no brainer

Mary at the Colonial hotel was absolutely AMAZING. She worked with us closely to provide everything needed to make our day perfect. As a bride, this was invaluable. I didn't have to worry about a SINGLE thing on the day of my wedding because Mary was so thorough. She had plans and contingency plans for everything, and went above and beyond to deliver us a dream wedding, within our budget. We had our ceremony outside and reception in the BEAUTIFUL tent. It was idyllic.
My only complaint was that it seems that the hotel staff and the event staff are not on the same page. There were a number of issues with reservations at the hotel as well as difficulty in figuring out these issues due to check in staff lacking flexibility (and perhaps manners on a few accounts). Check in for the hotel guests is not until 3 and that caused some issues as well. Despite this, i would absolutely recommend this venue.

Choosing the Colonial Hotel to hold our wedding ceremony and reception was by far the best decision I could have made! From our very first meeting to our actual wedding day, planning our wedding here could not have been easier! Mary Whitman, the wedding coordinator, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was always available by email or phone to answer questions, and was so helpful. The venue itself is so incredibly convenient. We held our rehearsal dinner at The Colonial Grille within the hotel, and used the ballroom for both our ceremony and reception. The food for our rehearsal dinner was fantastic, and the restaurant manager Jack, was so attentive and was able to fulfill any request we had. On the day of the wedding, Mary took care of handling all of the set up, deliveries and vendors, I didn't have to worry about anything but getting ready with my bridesmaids and enjoying the day! The ceremony area was beautiful, and my photographer was able to use the lobby and staircase to take beautiful family portraits. The reception could not have run more smoothly, and Mary was always there to make sure our timeline was followed. The food at our wedding was absolutely delicious, so many of our guests commented on how good it was! The ballroom was set up beautifully for our reception. After the wedding, all of our guests who were staying overnight went back to the Colonial Grille, which had a DJ that night. It was great that we were able to continue the festivities after the reception! The suite that my husband and I stayed in was beautiful and so big! It made a great space for my bridesmaids and I to get ready and take some pictures before the ceremony. The other guests' rooms that we saw were all very nice as well, and our guests loved the breakfast buffet that was included with their stay. It was so nice to see everyone at breakfast the morning after the wedding. I truly can't say enough good things about the Colonial Hotel. It was the perfect venue for my wedding!

I had been to several events at the Colonial Hotel before planning my wedding. I remembered how amazing some of the food was from years previous, and also how nice it looked. Once I met Mary, the coordinator I worked with, I felt like I was meant to get married there. We had to move our ceremony indoors right before my wedding, and it still looked perfect. They were also well aware of what my vendors were doing when and where they were. My photo booth staff got there late, and when I noticed it, I turned into a bit of a bridezilla until I was able to talk to Mary and she assured me she had already called them an hour ago. They made my day one to remember and highly recommend it to anyone!

The Colonial Hotel proved to be a great choice for our wedding. The wedding planner and staff made the process of planning the wedding extremely easy and with very little stress. Our daughter just had her wedding at The Colonial Hotel in Gardner. Our experience was truly wonderful. If you are considering having an event there, do not even think to doubt Mary Whitman’s ability to coordinate and execute many functions in one weekend because she is a master of multi-tasking!!!! Her assistant Lindsay also amazing as well as the rest of the staff at the Colonial Hotel!! We will never forget how they were willing to make some very last minute changes for the wedding that we did not expect them to be able to do but all the staff pulled together and made it happen! The attention to detail at the wedding was extraordinary and the amount of available staff far exceeded our expectations. The great service was with us from beginning to end and just like they promised we really didn’t have to worry about anything! We are so grateful for everything they did for us and so is our daughter and her new husband. The food was excellent too!!Thank You all so very much!

This is the perfect place to hold your ceremony and reception. Our guests are still raving about our wedding and how amazing everything was. Mary is great to work with! She is there to help with everything every step of the way including the million questions I had leading up to the wedding day! Have your wedding here! My wife and I were thrilled with our ceremony and reception, every second of it. We had an outdoor ceremony with the tented reception, and everything was perfect. Mary was such an incredible resource and calm guiding force through the entire process. Every piece of the package came together brilliantly, it's amazing how well these professionals work together. Our photographer, who is a friend of ours, was absolutely giddy with all of the photo opportunities, and they turned out beautifully. Mary and the entire staff at the colonial hotel made our wedding experience perfect!!!!!!! When I found out my brotheer was getting deployed before my wedding took place Mary worked with me to find another date so that my brother could attend. The food is awsome, the service was quick and wonderful! The bartenders were great. The rooms was giagantic and the cleaning crew was wonderful! The prices were extremely reasonable, and you get alot for what you pay for!! They made my wedding better than I even imagined it could be. I highly reccomend this venue to anyone who wants a gorgeous wedding in an outdoor setting. There tent is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything went perfectly! Mary was very helpful and answered all my ridiculous questions. Everyone was very courteous and we got so many compliments on the food.

Mary Whitman was wonderful. She made everything perfect. She was there for every question, concern and panic attack.
The room was absolutley gorgeous. I strongly suggest the candelabra!! Stunning!!
The staff was so helpful and nice and catered to my every need.
It was truly a special day and I was treated like Royalty. Champagne was set out for us in our suite for a little quiet celebration as newly weds.
One thing I would suggest. Scope out a place to take outdoor photos offsite. There is not really a place to take photos outside on the grounds.

Mary Whiteman at the Colonial Hotel made my wedding day go flawlessly. We got married there on May 29th 2010 in the tent. We were planning on having an outdoor ceremony but minutes before it started raining. Without missing a beat Mary went to our plan B of having the ceremony in the tent. You would have never known that it wasn't meant to be in there.
Throughout the planning process Mary was available for every question that I had. She is always on her email and by the phone, even when she wasn't in the office she would check her voicemail and call me back. Even though I changed my menu and a million times she never seemed annoyed or put off. We had so many special menu requests (gluten free, dairy free, soy free and vegetarian) and all of them were met with a smile and a no problem. I can not even tell you how many compliments we got on the food. Every time I talk to someone that went to our wedding they always say how good the food was. As a graphic designer I am super particular on how things should be set up and what everything should look like. Mary and her team executed it exactly how I had envisioned it.
The best part about having your wedding at the Colonial Hotel is their amazing wedding package. Depending on which one you go with it includes your centerpieces, limo, cake, wine with dinner ect. THey have a dinner once a year for all couples getting married there. They invite all of the vendors included in the packages and you can meet all of them and decide which ones you want to use.
I would recommend the Colonial Hotel to anyone getting married. Your will be in great hands with Mary and her team.

We just had our wedding at the Colonial in January. Mary Whitman did such a wonderful job as our wedding coordinator! She truly went above and beyond to make sure that we were both completely happy with our experience in planning the wedding and during the ceremony and reception. Everything went completely seamless! The atmosphere of the hotel made for beautiful pictures! Since our wedding was on January 16th, we requested that the hotel leave the Christmas decorations up, which they did. It really added to our wedding pictures!! There is a beautiful staircase in the lobby that was adorned with just enough lights and poinsettas to create a warm atmosphere.
The food was also incredible! We received so many compliments of how fabulous the food was!
In all, we would highly recommend the Colonial Hotel for weddings.

Mary Whitman was our wedding coordinator and the first time I met her I did not get a warm fuzzy feeling from her, but I was so wrong! She was amazing. She is extremely professional and hard working. I always felt like I could ask her any questions I had and she would quickly get back to me with all of the answers. The Ceremony and reception were executed to every last detail. After the pictures were taken, I was not feeling well and Mary and her staff were extremely accommodating and I know without their support, my night would not have been as wonderful as it was. The Colonial Hotel wedding package was unbelievable affordable. It offered a wide array of services, such as a limo, wedding cake, floral centerpieces for every table, champagne toast, appetizers, wine with the meal.... I could go on and on. It was the best use of our money. We are so pleased to have had the Colonial and Mary as a part of our wedding day!

The two things I liked best about this venue: 1). Everything is right there. We were married on site, reception on site, and of course it's a hotel so anyone could spend the night. 2). The packages can be (almost) all inclusive. Our cake and centerpiece flowers were included in our price and we had the choice of different vendors for each.
Mary, the event coordinator, was so amazing to work with. From my first inquiry about pricing, she was quick to answer my emails and all of the questions I had along the way. The day of our wedding, her and her staff made me feel at ease throughout the day and were so great setting up all of our decorations and coordinating our ceremony. Everyone loved the food at dinner and the pub after was great too.

Overall Great Experience
My bride and I had a few criteria for our venue
1) it was affordable
2) it was easy
The Colonial Hotel was both!
Every step of the way the staff, from the coordinators to the front desk attendants, were absolutely fabulous.
We held all of our events there from the rehearsal Friday night through the after party into the wee hours of the morning on Sunday. I said "I want to check in Friday afternoon and leave Sunday morning" that was exactly what we did.
There were two things though that stood out as exceptional.
The first was the service we got the weekend of the wedding, they some how perfectly balance being attentive and being over bearing. They consistently went the extra mile to make sure the experience was exactly what we wanted it to be. This included getting a rootbeer for our daughter from the hotel shop because they didn't have any at the bar. Wether it was a broken glass, an empty tray of apps, or simply a time check there was always a staff member right there ready for whatever came up.
The second, was the food. I have been to weddings from backyards to downtown Boston. The colonial hotel has without a doubt the best food I have ever had at a wedding. The food was fresh and cooked perfectly, they managed all of our requests and food allergies with out any hiccups. To try to give it some context our prime rib was more like a quality restaurants prime rib then it was a banquet prime rib.
We couldn't have been happier with out experience.

The Colonial is the perfect location for an important event! Mary was too accommodating and passionate about her job! We had a great day and did not have to worry once about anything, except weather lol! Check out the pics!

What an amazing day! Friends and family raved about what a fun wedding it was. Our wedding ceremony and reception were seamless thanks in large part to Mary and her staff. I am a type-A personality so was very concerned with the details when planning our wedding. Mary was a saint answering all of my emails and phone calls. The day of the wedding everything was set up exactly how I imagined, the food was great, and the staff were very helpful. We had some minor issues with reservations falling through the cracks, so it is worth keeping an eye on. That being said, if I had to make the decision again, I wouldn't have changed a thing. The Colonial Hotel was a perfect choice for us.

Our wedding at the Colonial Was absolutely perfect! Everyone was amazed at how beautiful everything was an how great the food was. Mary (the wedding coordinator) is great to work with. Our package included a lot of things that made my planning a lot easier - it was worth the extra money per person in the end. The only downfall is the strict rules - its a little unreasonable to expect wedding parties not to bring outside alcohol into their suites while getting ready - who doesn't have mimosas the morning of their wedding?! But truthfully as long as you are respectful of the hotel, and don't cause a scene, it is fine. Overall, we had a great experience and our family and friends keep telling us it was the best wedding they've ever been to!

We had our wedding at the Colonial on September 22nd. I cannot stress how wonderful everything was! I work with the Colonial on many coporate events each year, so I knew going in to it that the venue, staff and food were all great. Normally, I am the one setting up, running events and cleaning up - but this time, I didn't have to lift a finger! Every possible thing was taken care of for us, from setting up signage and decor, to sending extra meals to our room so we could eat, to timing the ceremony... We even arrived back to our room after the reception to find a luggage cart full of our signs, guest book, card box and extra centerpieces! I cannot say enough about Mary and her staff. The new decor and patio area were perfect and family members are still raving about the food!

Beautiful venue! Mary and Lindsay are great to work with, they did an amazing job setting everything up, the reception was just how I pictured it. However, we had an afternoon wedding (per their suggestion considering it was on a Sunday) and we didn't have the bridal suite to get ready in. So, that was a bummer that we didn't have those beautiful shots for pictures. We ended up getting ready in my MOH's room. BUT the suite was absolutely beautiful, it makes for a very luxurious night for the newlyweds.

The Tent, since the first day I saw that place Clothed in white, with gold chiavari chairs I knew it had to be there... and Thankfully was the most affordable place to get married in my region !!!
I loved everything, specially the Staff ! they were 100% organized and nice to all my guests, and the food was Amazing!!!
We got married on July 15th, 2012, on a Sunday afternoon, and it was the most perfect day of my life !
Thank you Colonial Hotel for everything you have done to make our day so special
