Mary and the entire staff at the colonial hotel made our wedding experience perfect!!!!!!! When I found out my brotheer was getting deployed before my wedding took place Mary worked with me to find another date so that my brother could attend. The food is awsome, the service was quick and wonderful! The bartenders were great. The rooms was giagantic and the cleaning crew was wonderful! The prices were extremely reasonable, and you get alot for what you pay for!! They made my wedding better than I even imagined it could be. I highly reccomend this venue to anyone who wants a gorgeous wedding in an outdoor setting. There tent is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Colonial Hotel was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The venue is beautiful - as soon as you pull into the parking lot it looks like you're visiting a castle. They just recently renovated the exterior of the building and it looks magical. The inside of the hotel has nicely updated decor. All the rooms are updated and larger than your average hotel room. The suites we used for getting ready the day of the wedding were amazing! They're huge and even have a Jacuzzi tub which was a nice touch. The staff was amazing, they took care of everything - I didn't have to worry about a single thing. Mary and her team are wedding professionals and could probably run a wedding in their sleep they're so good! The food was spectacular - everyone loved their meals and no one had any complaints! We chose to have our reception in the tent and WOW was it gorgeous. They have beautiful chandeliers and an actual floor so you're not walking on grass. Their packages are affordable and include SO MUCH. Overall I'd say The Colonial was a 10/10 and I would highly recommend them to anyone!!!

Mary and the staff were absolutely amazing! They guided us through the whole planning process and gave me peace of mind. Everyone went above and beyond to make our night perfect!

I couldn't have dreamed of how my wedding turned out! Mary and the crew at the Colonial were honestly the best ever! They were so attentive to detail and made sure that everything went on without a hitch! With over 200 guests, we had a lot to wrangle, but they did it! I loved being able to have the ceremony, reception, after-party, and hotel all in one! I can't rave about or thank them more for everything! 1000/10!!!!

We loved having our wedding at The Colonial and would highly recommend this as a venue. Our wedding was an amazing dream come true. Mary Whitman was our coordinator and she certainly made our wedding reception unforgettable. She was easy to work with and was so responsive! She would reply to my email questions sometimes within minutes.
On our wedding day our vision turned into reality as the setup was impeccable and the coordination was on point. The food was excellent and the presentation was gorgeous! For desert, we had a candy bar and a s’more bar in addition to cake and ice cream! Moreover, we were allowed to bring in homemade Italian cookies, which were presented with the candy bar. It looked amazing.
As a venue, The Colonial was absolutely beautiful, providing us the perfect blend of elegance and class without feeling stuffy. We had our reception outside in the tent which is so beautiful, especially with the floral arrangements and candles. The inside of the building itself is gorgeously classic but still has a lot of character.
Our guests repeatable came up to us, telling us it was the BEST wedding they had ever been to. It would not have been possible without the amazing team at The Colonial. We simply can't speak highly enough of The Colonial and its staff. We are so very happy that we chose them for our special day. We will never forget how well they treated us. Thank you Mary for such a wonderful, fabulous day.

Mary and her team are AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, DEDICATED, and RESPONSIVE!!!! I can’t say enough good things. Our wedding ran so smoothly from start to finish. Everything was perfection and it’s because of them!! Mary answered all my never ending questions right away and made sure we stayed on track with planning. The food was wonderful and moved quickly as we requested. Not a thing I would change. THANK YOU MARY AND THE EVENTS TEAM!

When looking for a wedding venue, my husband and I had a few things in mind, "easy to get to," "affordable" and "fun." The colonial provided all three of these aspects of our wedding and MORE. The moment we toured The Colonial we were in complete awe. Mary, the wedding planner, was professional and honest and made our wedding day the day of our dreams. Once we arrived on site we truly were treated like royalty and did not have to worry about a thing.

The Pub (colonial bar and grill) was one part of the venue that we fell in love with right away. We did a late night food station and invited our guests to go around the corner to the pub after our dancing was over. The hotel hired a DJ and the party continued. We had over 120 of our guests stay and dance some more with us. No one had to drive to where they were staying, and even those who were not staying at the hotel came to the pub to have a blast. What was a 5 hour wedding turned into a 8 hour party!

Our goal was to have fun and let me tell you that we did. We had multiple comments from guests on how nice it was to have the ballroom, the pub, and the hotel all in one place. Not to mention the pure awe of the ballroom. I would truly recommend this setting to anyone! (I also highly recommend the late night food station!)

Also, I have an allergy myself along with multiple family members and the staff was so attentive to making sure all our meals were perfect!

The weekend started with us all coming in Friday night to have our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The great thing about the Colonial is that you can do everything here! The Rehearsal Dinner was in the Grille, the food was delicious.
Because the Colonial Hotel has so many rooms, all my wedding party and guests were able to stay the night before and night of the wedding, which made getting ready so easy! The Staff all around was just wonderful!
After the most perfect wedding, I didn't even have to clean up, they brought all decorations and gifts to my room for me! We ended a great weekend with breakfast all together back in the Grille.

I can't say enough about how wonderful our wedding day was. Every step of the planning process was easy. They had every detail ready to go. They had many vendors that they use that I could chose from. They were always ready to answer my questions. Even with a summer wedding they already had back up plans for rain. The staff was very professional and the food was perfect. I was glad to have everything at one location so my guests didn't need to travel in between. The facility is big and had so much parking. I am so thankful we had our special day here.

We LOVED our experience at the Colonial for our 10/6/22 wedding. Mary is an absolute dream to work with and her team is responsive, professional, and works very hard to take care of their guests. We had a small wedding but the day was perfect and they made sure we were calm, happy, fed, and comfortable. The bridal suite was stunning and we really loved the special touch of the champagne waiting for us at the end of the night. We are truly so grateful for the colonial for helping us to kick off our married life with joy and celebration. Thank you again!!!!

Great wedding venue!! Our guests loved their food choices, and the breakfast buffet the next morning was a great addition for overnight guests. Mary and Kailee were wonderful to work with!! They were always very friendly and helpful with all of the wedding planning details, and made sure everything was always on schedule. Our Hostess Taylor also did a great job! Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating too!

Our wedding day was the best day of our life thanks to Mary, Anya, and the Colonial's team! I would highly recommend this venue! #1 reason is Mary & Anya! #2 reason is the convenience of having everything in one spot, less things to plan, less people to organize with! From the first visit, Mary made us feel at ease and that she knew exactly what needed to happen. She was so kind and attentive and I instantly trusted her. Throughout the whole process Mary and Anya were great at communication, alway responded to every little question that popped in my head. The weekend of the wedding they continued to be amazing, helping us through all last minute issues and questions. The venue its self was a huge win for us. It was so great having everything in one place. More than half our guests stayed over night on site. The restaurant and bar were so convenient for brunch. We had our rehearsal dinner and after party on site and even rented the salon for hair and makeup. We didn't leave the hotel for the whole weekend and it was great! Our nieces and nephews also really enjoyed the game room and pool. We were also able to have our dog at our ceremony and stay at the hotel which was a huge priority for us!

All the folks we dealt with were extremely helpful!

After getting engaged, we started researching venues. The Colonial was the closest in proximity to our home so we figured we’d venture out to check it out first. In fact, after our first tour there, we booked a date! The convenience of having everything all in one location is ideal for bridal party and for guests. Mary and the staff were wonderful start to finish. They kept our timeline on schedule, helped assemble & dissemble the decor, and checked in on us throughout the day to make sure we were good. The food was great - the portions were generous and we received many compliments throughout the evening. The bridal suite (there are multiple suites) was huge, fit everyone comfortably while getting ready. I can’t say enough nice things about our experience. I’d absolutely consider booking them as your wedding spot!

Our daughter just had her wedding at The Colonial Hotel in Gardner. Our experience was truly wonderful. If you are considering having an event there, do not even think to doubt Mary Whitman’s ability to coordinate and execute many functions in one weekend because she is a master of multi-tasking!!!! Her assistant Lindsay also amazing as well as the rest of the staff at the Colonial Hotel!! We will never forget how they were willing to make some very last minute changes for the wedding that we did not expect them to be able to do but all the staff pulled together and made it happen! The attention to detail at the wedding was extraordinary and the amount of available staff far exceeded our expectations. The great service was with us from beginning to end and just like they promised we really didn’t have to worry about anything! We are so grateful for everything they did for us and so is our daughter and her new husband. The food was excellent too!!Thank You all so very much!

Mary Whitman was wonderful. She made everything perfect. She was there for every question, concern and panic attack.
The room was absolutley gorgeous. I strongly suggest the candelabra!! Stunning!!
The staff was so helpful and nice and catered to my every need.
It was truly a special day and I was treated like Royalty. Champagne was set out for us in our suite for a little quiet celebration as newly weds.
One thing I would suggest. Scope out a place to take outdoor photos offsite. There is not really a place to take photos outside on the grounds.

My daughter got married on June 23rd 2018. The Colonial Hotel made this process so easy! We just loved the ballroom and of course our wedding coordinator Mary was just the best. We had many out of town guests and they all commented on what a great venue it was . They just loved having everything in one place. We went from the reception to the pub with a DJ provided by the hotel and ordered more food for the after party there. Then the guests could go right to their room. The service was excellent and Mary made the whole process so easy. The food was delicious ! I would highly recommend the Colonial !!!

I can not say enough about the colonial hotel. They were great, the rooms were beautiful, they made Damen and I's day everything we dreamed about! Mary and Nikki are GREAT!!! I will forever be greatful that we decided to have our wedding at the Colonial the ballroom is beautiful and the new bar is great for the rehearsal dinner! I would recommend the Colonial to anyone and everyone!!

The Colonial was absolutely amazing! Our day was absolutely perfect and they were so helpful with us moving the wedding twice over the past year and a half due to COVID. Mary was incredible and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.

Mary and her team could not have been more supportive,professional and attentive to detail, they made it look so easy. We were welcomed and walked through the entire process from the initial meeting to the final meeting. Every detail was covered with abosultely no worries. The reception was in the tent and absolutely beautiful. The food was spectacular and the set-up was flawless. I would recommend the Colonial as an excellent place for ceremony and reception to anyone! I wouldn't have changed a thing!

Having our wedding at the Colonial Hotel was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Mary was amazing to work with over the two year course of planning our wedding, and she was very responsive to my incessant e-mails in the weeks leading up to the big event. She was able to accommodate my mother-in-law's request for a laid back rehearsal dinner, and was willing to go to bat for us on all of our 'out of the norm' requests. The salon space for getting ready pre-wedding was unparalleled and allowed for the bridal suite to be clean right up until it was time for the girls to get dressed. The food at both the rehearsal dinner and the reception was amazing, as were all of the passed hors d'oeuvres. Our package included Chiavari chairs and floor length linens which looked absolutely stunning in the ballroom. The space is so beautiful on it's own that we needed to bring very little decorations. We requested that the Christmas decorations be up for our Thanksgiving weekend wedding, and not only did the hotel deliver but they looked amazing. I cannot recommend Mary and the sales team enough, this was the perfect venue for our wedding!

I got married at the colonial back in august of 2014 and it was great ! Everyone is still talking about our wedding decoration was beautiful and elegant Mary did an awesome job best part was we did an open bar the whole wedding loved it. Definitely recommend the colonial

Mary and her team were exceptional! They were super easy to work with throughout the entire process and gave fantastic recommendations. When I explained the centerpieces she asked if we wanted black linens, which never would have crossed my mind, and they looked unbelievable! We wanted mother son and father daughter dances before toasts and for people to have cider and donuts as they entered the ceremony, Mary and her team accommodated our nontraditional asks with ease. Instead of getting married outside at the pergola onsight we got married in the ballroom as it rained all day. They made the ballroom look absolutely spectacular. They set up an aisle in part of the room and partitioned the rest off so you couldn't see any of the tables. It was just as if not more beautiful than being outside would have been. I could go on and on but the point is Mary and her team along with the staff at the Colonial Hotel executed on our vision to perfection, were easy and fun to work with, and made the day absolutely spectacular.

My husband and I got married at the Colonial on May 20, 2017. Everything from the planning process to the wedding day itself was absolutely smooth sailing and perfect! The staff at the Colonial were so easy going and great to work with. Mary who is the wedding coordinator there was amazing!! I would highly recommend checking out this great venue! Ask for Mary and tell let her know her "BBF" referred you!
