    Wedding flowers

My bouquet and my mens boutonnieres were absolutely stunning! I was obsessed with the agreements, It was better than I would of expected. I went for the bohemian style and they nailed it on the head.

I had very little time from the onset of planning to our wedding date, and I will say I did put off my flowers a little longer than I otherwise would have. This was due to indecisiveness on whether I should attempt to do my own or not. In the end I decided to go with Coe's Floral and Gifts because I live just a few blocks away. Dan himself was the one whom I spoke to about my flowers, and he's also the one who ended up doing them. I wasn't looking to spend too much because all I needed was a bridal bouquet, and a single boutonniere.

I was really flexible with what I wanted, but also did have an idea what I wanted the final product to look like, and would recommend having a visual in mind when you order. I did want to keep it at the lower end of the price spectrum as well, which I made clear to him. I spent $100 on my bouquet and $12 for a matching boutonniere, and it ended up being around $119 with tax which I was more than happy with, but did need to pay the day I placed my order and not at pickup.

He did a lovely job on my flowers, and the bouquet was pleasantly bigger than what I had expected for what I paid, especially since I I only spoke to him about my flowers a few weeks prior to the wedding. Plus, we did need to travel out of state with our flowers, which meant picking them up a couple of days before the wedding. He was very careful and helpful in the way in which he packaged the flowers for transport, and in giving me directions on how to care for them so that they would last. Overall, he was very professional and reasonably priced and did a wonderful job. My flowers ended up staying fresh for the wedding as well as a couple of weeks after the wedding!

Dan was awesome, creative, and my flowers were beautiful. I honestly did not put in very much effort, and loved the results. However, it was expensive. Dan was very transparent on how much everything cost, and he suggested less expensive flowers to fit into my budget. I also had my grandmother and aunt pick up the flowers to save on the delivery and setup fee. Ultimately, I was within my budget, and a very happy bride.

Dan at Coes was great providing all my flowers for the wedding, at little more expensive than other places but works really hard to get you what you want and provides a great service.

I communicated with Dan via email and phone calls as I had to plan my wedding in Ames from Arizona. He was helpful however misunderstandings between the two of us leaves me with a less than perfect review. We had carnation pomanders for center pieces and they turned out quite lovely however I felt it was pricey for $2 per carnation. We worked on having the bridesmaid bouquets to be all white to contrast with their purple dress and for the most part I would say 95% of it matched the pictures I had sent and he kept it at $50 per bouquet. But for my bouquet is where things got lost in translation and I'm not sure where. I had spent $200 on my bouquet and I wanted it to be mostly purple with white and subtle hints of melon green. I was looking for ward to my flowers as I knew I was splurging a little more to get what I wanted because it had calla lilies. When I saw my bouquet , I didn't know what to say. It was 80% green with very little purple and some white. We tried calling dan but since it was labor day Sunday he wasn't answering. We ended up taking the loose hydrangeas off some of the tables that we had in painted mason jars and added it to my bouquet and took out the green but then it lacked purple. I didn't really have any other choice other than to accept it and be okay with it which I did. It was mostly white with some purple. The green was forest green not melon or honeydew. I was more upset because of how I pictured it would it look like and knowing how much I spent on it and then seeing it as it was...it was just a shock. Luckily dan was responsive to my concerns and did help make things right for some of the flowers that we were missing. My advice to potential customers is to make sure you know exactly what you want and know the names of all the flowers you want so you have more control rather than having them add their creative touch because you might not know what you'll get.
