    The perfect venue for us

We had the good fortune of booking our wedding at Cobblestone in early March 2020, right before everything went nuts. We delayed the wedding by a year, and Cobblestone was very accomodating of our new date. Connor was incredibly helpful in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding, while they were trying to figure out how to host events safely, and guidelines were shifting due to COVID levels. They kept us in the loop about their COVID restrictions and helped us plan a safe, fun day at their spectacular venue! The outdoor space was lovely, welcoming, and unpretentious, with so many unique spots to hold the ceremony, take pictures, and set up an outdoor happy hour. And our guests got a kick out of the geese :) The barn is absolutely perfect for a wedding--it has the rustic charm of a barn but it's totally modern in terms of amenities. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and they really went above and beyond to help us plan our day. As someone who grew up in the neighborhood and spent time at Cobblestone when I was a kid, I'm so glad we got married at this beautiful gem of local history.

We got married at Cobblestone on 10/1/17. We had our ceremony outside and our reception in the barn. It was wonderful and we got many compliments on our location choice! While their max is 220, I would suggest not having more than 150 or so if you use this location. We had 135 and it felt full- not too tight, but definitely full. Cobblestone provides tables and chairs for inside, and you provide anything else. So you need to be willing to find vendors (the suggest many to you), which we loved because we were able to stick to our budget! The staff at Cobblestone is also very kind and accommodating!

So far, these guys have been wonderful! Every time I called them, a real live person answered the phone, and answered every question, no matter how outlandish and weird it was. They've been very informative and helpful, giving us a full set of guidelines/rules far enough in advance that we can make our guests aware of them. And they're incredibly flexible, allowing me to drop by the venue any time I needed. The people at Cobblestone are just wonderful, and I can't wait to see how amazing everything is going to be for my wedding day! :)

Cobblestone Farms was a beautiful and unique place to have a wedding. Our guests loved the setting, and with the animals walking around outside we got some very neat pictures. The Barn was so beautiful with the help of our wedding planner. There isn't a thing I would change if we had to do it again.

From the very first visit I knew this was the place I wanted to hold our wedding reception! I wanted something with a rustic vibe and fell in love with the barn at Cobblestone. The barn went right along with my dream for my wedding reception.
My only complaint is that they book up FAST! We started planning in April 2015 and when we visited they only had 3 dates left for 2016. Luckily the date wasn't super important to us.
They assigned us a contact person whom we contacted with all of our questions. When our day arrived someone from the staff was there to help coordinate all of the deliveries from other vendors. The barn looked perfect and was exactly what I had always envisioned my reception being!

Cobblestone is a great venue in terms of what you get for what you pay. It is a beautiful spot, with good outdoor and indoor options for ceremony and reception.

great space for a simple or DIY wedding

First of all, it's beautiful and a great value! I loved that we had access Friday - Sunday so we didn't have to do much prep or clean up on the big day. We held our ceremony in the garden, then went inside for dinner & the reception. We decorated a bit but it honestly didn't need much... The high ceilings, hardwood, and landscaping add a lot of beauty. Staff was very helpful - it's clear they've done all this before, and they had a lot of good advice / suggestions without being overbearing. Plus it was nice to be close to downtown but still have easy parking and some privacy.

I am so happy we went with Cobblestone Farm for our wedding. Neither my husband nor I were very picky during the planning process, and so choosing a venue was very easy but that's honestly in large part due to the fact that it was the best value for our money. We got the venue from 10:00am until 1:00am for $1500 - you can't beat that! They limit you to just beer and wine, but that wasn't a downside for us. The grounds are beautiful and very well cared for. The barn itself is gorgeous and I was really happy with how the facility itself looked in the few photos I've seen since our wedding day. Additionally, the staff was very flexible and helpful. I called the park employee who was going to be present on our wedding day for a simple question a week ahead of the wedding, and found out that she had already contacted all of our vendors and confirmed everything for me, which was so helpful! I highly, highly recommend Cobblestone Farms.

This venue was everything that I had envisioned for my wedding day. The staff was amazing, it did take a little more planning and organizing to be able to get things to run smoothly, but it worked out. There is no Hard liqour allowed, beer and wine only, which was fine for us. If you have anymore than 200 people, this venue probably isn't a good choice. We had 180 with a tiny dance floor and we were crowded. You do have to bring in your own caterer but the cost was pretty reasonable. Other than that we were very pleased and it was everything we wanted!

We loved getting married at Cobblestone Farm! It was the perfect place for our wedding. We had the ceremony outside the barn, with a tent set up next to the ceremony site for a cocktail hour, and then had the reception inside the barn. We did all of our photos here, and they turned out gorgeous.
You have to bring in everything yourselves (except tables & chairs), which I liked because we could do whatever we wanted. We hired a Wedding planner (Ana from TwoFoot Creative) who was AMAZING and very familiar with the location so we didn't have to worry about a thing on the day!

I just loved having our wedding at Cobblestone Farm! The price of the venue was wonderful, the staff was amazing! My only complaint is that they do not allow liquor on the property, but that also kept the cost of alcohol lower!

We had both our ceremony and reception at Cobblestone in January. It was absolutely perfect. We chose Cobblestone because it is kind of a "blank slate" venue. We were able to bring in our own caterer, DJ, cake baker, etc. It was great not to have to work with a preset list of vendors. If you are planning on an open bar, be aware that Cobblestone does not allow hard alcohol, but they do permit wine and beer. We had approximately 75 people at our wedding, and it was the perfect size - big enough so that we could spread out our tables, but small enough that it didn't feel like an empty space. I would highly recommend it!

We were hesitant to book Cobblestone because of all of the rules (it's a city-owned venue), but I am so glad we did! It was the perfect venue for our wedding, and our guests loved it. The staff person present for our event was helpful and professional. LGBTQ-friendly.

This place is so gorgeous! It was the perfect setting for our reception. The only thing I didn't like is that the air conditioning didn't work, and our wedding was in June! So it was very hot, and I was very sweaty the whole night, but it wasn't that bad.

Cobblestone is beautiful! I loved having my wedding in a antique setting, the barn is georgeous, everything is set up just right there. Though there alot of restrictions and noise rules which do damper your time. I remember not being completley allowd to open the big barn doors on the main floor because of the noise ordinance but it was so hot in there everyone was way to hot and couldnt enjoy themselves when they danced, so i did it anyway! Besides that, the venue is awsome, but way to many restictions.

Cobblestone Farm was such a beautiful and unique location for a wedding reception. My guests loved seeing the barn animals and playing lawn games on the lush grass surrounding the barn. Cobblestone staff provided great service, although not always the most responsive via e-mail. Also, the barn has fairly rigid rules for events. Otherwise, I would highly recommend Cobblestone for any couple who want a simple, but fun wedding.

Cobblestone Farm is a charming and unique venue for a wedding. The staff at Cobblestone was always helpful and responsive to our questions, but the city-owned property is burdened by rules. There are tight limits for the hours one is permitted on site, and because of noise ordinances, the party barn's doors must be closed after 10pm necessitating that the celebration continue indoors only. Also, although it is handicapped accessible, some of our older guests had some difficulty negotiating the grounds.

Rental of the site is for only ten hours. For us, no vendors could arrive until 2pm and getting everything cleaned up by midnight was another challenge. It took a huge effort to get everything set up for a 5:30 p.m. ceremony. We had to pay extra for Sunday delivery of our rental items as there was another event on Saturday night (we also couldn't have our rehearsal on site because of the conflicting event), and our wedding coordinator had to bring extra help to make sure everything would be done on time. In the end, we had a fabulous event: we loved the animals making noises during the wedding ceremony, we loved the look and feel of the grounds. We loved having our hors d'oeuvres and toasts outdoors and moving indoors for dinner. We loved being able to select our own caterer, and being able to bring in our own wines and artisanal beers (no hard liquor allowed on premises). We also brought in a professional meat cooker who roasted 200 pounds of prime rib outdoors--a great addition to our event that would never have been possible at a hotel or catering hall. If you're looking for an out of the ordinary site for a wedding, Cobblestone is fabulous---but be prepared to bring or hire enough help to make your event trouble-free.

Beautiful place to have a wedding. We had both the ceremony and the reception on the grounds. There are also some great places for photo-ops, so you don't have to go far! The guests did get hot in the sun, so a tent is a thought for others.

From the moment I stepped onto the grounds I knew it was the place I wanted for my wedding. You can get a better deal if you live in the city limits, which makes the rental price more ideal. Everything turned out beautifully.
The only issue I had was that they let me know 2 weeks before our wedding that they were having a harvest festival the same day of our wedding. Parking wasn't an issue, but I'm glad I hadn't picked a different location on the grounds for the ceremony. They had yellow caution tape around the area. It was in the background in a few of our shots, but not the biggest deal. They are not very responsive at all to emails. I found it best to actually go to the location and talk to someone.
You also only get 10 hours with your rental. This includes time for set up and take down. I highly recommend a catering company that will take care of all of your needs.

This venue is an excellent price (especially if you live in Ann Arbor because you receive a discount). The venue is beautiful and well-maintained. The office staff isn't the friendliest bunch and seem annoyed when you walk through the door. This was the same story all three times I visited the venue, so it seems as though it is the norm. The girl that was on-site the day of the reception (to enforce their rules) was very professional and friendly. They have very strict rules, but nothing seemed unfair. No liquor allowed on property, only beer and wine. I would have future events at this venue and would recommend to friends.

Cobblestone was great to work with. They followed our floor plan that we set up. Everything looked great they day of. They provided us with a list of vendors that had worked with them before to help guide us in the planning process. The property was absolutely stunning. I knew I wanted to have my reception there the day I drove past it for the first time :)

We had planned on having both our ceremony and reception here, but being April in Michigan, we last minute changed our ceremony location to a local Ann Arbor church in order to avoid cold. Cobblestone Farm is a beautiful location with ample parking, is easily handicapped accessible, and the barn itself is gorgeous. We did everything ourselves, and the staff helped whenever they could. However, it was much easier working with them because of how amazing our caterer was. The inside of the barn is beautiful and very clean; we added extra lights across the main floor and loft and I was really glad that we did. The only down side to Cobblestone was that our floor plan was changed about 2 weeks before hand, and they didn't update the plan so we had to put up a table ourselves, but it wasn't a big deal overall. Everything went really smooth during the reception, we had beautiful pictures outdoors and the space worked out beautifully! The barn was very well priced; we did end up with a non-optimal date because of how fast the dates filled up (we looked a year ahead) but I'm very happy with how everything turned out!

This site was a great location for holding a wedding. Things went great. They are a small venue and don't have a ton of staff which is why my rating's weren't higher on responsiveness and quality. The site is beautiful though and the staff does work hard.

Overall this was a very fun atmosphere and worked great for the number of guests we had. We had about 75 guests, and it was the perfect size for floor space and dancing. I wouldn’t recommend booking here with more than 100 guests because then you have to seat people in the loft… and who wants to be the ones seated away from everyone else? Also it was a lot of work not being able to set up until the afternoon of the wedding, I am SO glad I had a DOC. That is my biggest complaint, that they don't let you in early to set up. Also, the dance floor area is a little dirty (floor is scuffed up) but I've heard they are refinishing the floor.

It is important to make sure your guests know that hard liquor is prohibited on the entire property (including the parking lot). There is staff at the barn the entire night to ensure all rules are followed, choosing Cobblestone allows all outside vendors to be chosen, which was nice.

Cobblestone Barn was the perfect venue for our Rustic Country style wedding in Ann Arbor. We loved that you can use your own catering company and bring your own alcohol (which saves you a TON of money). They set up the tables and chairs for you (which look okay...but I would suggest getting chair covers so it looks a little nicer) but that's about all they do. We ended up hiring a day-of wedding coordinator to take care of the decor set up and handle any issues that came up during the reception - which was totally worth it. If we hadn't hired her - the reception would have been a MESS because there are so many things that come up since Cobblestone isn't really a "full service wedding venue."

My biggest complaint/frustration occurred after the wedding when they claimed a bucket was missing from their kitchen. We got "checked out" at the end of the night and they said everything was good to go - then a week or two later they sent an invoice for a missing bucket. Since we had my husband's dad and uncle cleaning up and putting everything in his van we double checked with them a million times to ensure they hadn't accidently grabbed something that wasn't ours - and they hadn't (what the heck would we want with an old bucket anyway). I had to go around and around with them over it (I will admit I am stubborn and if I KNOW we don't have the bucket I'm not paying even $40 for it)...and they then tried to throw a bunch of little "issues" in my face.

All in all - love the venue - a lot. But thought the "post wedding" was a bit of a nightmare. Just know that getting checked off at the end of the night does not mean your headaches are over. :)

We chose Cobblestone Farms for our wedding venue due to how extremely affordable it is, as well as it's close proximity to our own home. We were very pleased with how everything turned out, and are absolutely happy that we went with them. There are a few difficulties, however, that are easy enough to work around: there is no on-site coordination, and so we went with a day-of coordinator for the set-up and take-down of decorations. They also house several events there, and because there was one the day after our wedding, we had to pay extra with our rental company to have our tent taken down on a Sunday morning. I'd also recommend calling about a week before your event if you need rehearsal space, since they can never guarantee that an event won't take place when you'd like to do this, so when you have the date/time set you'll want to check in with them to ensure that it's available. Provided you have a good team of people who are familiar with the space this venue is great to work with, just be prepared to do most of the legwork yourself and remember to watch their event schedule!

Cobblestone Farms Center is for someone looking for a unique venue and a max of around 180 guests (220 without a dance floor). The woman we were dealing with left the Center midway through our wedding planning and we were not informed of this change. I was a little put off by this, but the new person was very agreeable and worked with me to get the table chart the way I wanted it. There isn't much you can do about decorating since it is a historic venue, but the exposed wood makes it beautiful in its' own right.

You have to bring in your own caterer which for me was a huge bonus of renting Cobblestone Farm. You can also have both your ceremony and reception on the property if you choose. I was a big, big fan!!!

It turned out beautiful. As a historical site, they have a lot of rules and regulations to follow, such as no hard liquor and strict decorating restrictions. We followed the rules and are getting our full deposit back luckily. Most of the staff were not very friendly during the planning process, but the girl working the night of our wedding was great. Not a lot of decorating was required to make it nice inside. The grounds are beautiful during the summer and the guests loved the animals (we had an outdoor ceremony).

Cobblestone Farm provides an absolutely wonderful backdrop for a perfect wedding - here in-lies the warning: If you are a type-A bride, like myself, who enjoys making lists and wants to dive head and hand first into the planning then I would definitely recommend Cobblestone Farm. If the "details" stress you out then please take this advice and either hire a "Day Of" planner or go with a full service event grounds. ---

Cobblestone is owned and ran by the City of Ann Arbor. Let me repeat that: THE City of Ann Arbor. They book many weddings, with some weekends entirely full - their staff, by no fault of their own, will not be able to cater to every tiny detail, though they are very nice and pleasant to work with. Also, since the grounds are owned by the city there is quite the list of rules (no hard liquor, noise ordinance...) to keep in mind. I found the easiest way was to find other services (DJ and Caterer) who were familiar and had done events at Cobblestone before.

While our wedding turned out amazing, it was a lot of hard work and quite the coordination process. I can honestly say that would not have been possible without a great group of family members to help the day of and other services (Caterer/DJ) who were able to give great advice.

Cobblestone is a beautiful venue, we are happy to have had our wedding here! However they are not very accommodating. You pay by the hour and additional hours are pricy. The staff was not very timely with there responses to phone calls and emails.

This is a beautiful place for a smaller (max. cap. 180) wedding reception. It is very clean and scenic- inside and out. The staff is friendly and I'm so glad I had my reception there!

Cobblestone is beautiful but they do have a very unusual renting policy. You do not rent it for a whole day, you get ten hours-any time more than that is $132 an hour. As we were rushing to set up that day, they were showing the facility to other potential customers, which I didn't understand. I had paid for that time, why were there other people there? Then a worker said that I could not use my candles, and that they either had to be in sand or water because of the fire hazard. I then referred to the the contract and it clearly stated , "VOTIVE CANDLES ALLOWED." I don't know why she bothered to comment on the candles if she didn't know the policy. It was a little stressful working with them. If you know what you are getting in to, it can be a beautiful place to have your wedding.

When you rent cobblestone you are only renting the room, chairs, and tables. You only get a 10 hr window that day for event, setup, and clean up combined unless you buy more hours for $120 a piece. They lost my floor plans the first time, everytime I called the person who answered had to transfer me cause they had no clue what was going on. My wedding reception turned out amazing no thanks to cobblestone I owe it all to family and friends who worked their tails off.

    Stay away from Cobblestone Farms!

The staff at Cobblestone Farms are the absolute worst people in the world to deal with for this life changing event. My daughter’s wedding was scheduled for 9/11/2021. On 8/23/2021, they sent an email implementing new very strict covid protocols that pushed my daughter and her future husband to change EVERY EVENT DETAIL to have the event take place outside. Just 4 days later, on 8/27/2021 they received a second email, CANCELLING the entire event. Cobblestone personnel CANCELLED their wedding after the details to move everything outdoors had been successfully changed, just 15 days before their wedding date of 9/11/2021.

Not only did they cancel the event 15 days before it was scheduled to happen, they did it by email on a Friday just before 5pm. No phone call, and at best a pathetic explanation as to why they felt justified to do so. The people that work at Cobblestone are selfish, unprofessional, and should not be employed at such a venue if they care so little for the community or customers they are serving.

If you are thinking about having a wedding or event at an outdoor site in the Ann Arbor area, look anywhere else as Cobblestone Farm is a nightmare to deal with.
