We were absolutely thrilled with Cobalt Strings at our February wedding at Callanwolde in Atlanta! From the ceremony to the cocktail hour, they sounded fantastic. Cobalt Strings added so much to our ceremony. I wanted a “Bridgerton” feel (I.e. orchestral covers), and Cobalt Strings more than delivered. We had a range from Christian hymns to classic love songs to current pop hits. I was fortunate enough to be able to hear their music before I walked down the aisle, and I loved every minute of it. Amber and her crew were AMAZING! They took our ceremony and cocktail hour to the next level and made all of my wedding dreams come true! I recently had the pleasure of working with Cobalt Strings, a string trio that played the prelude and ceremony music for my wedding. I can confidently say that they were absolutely incredible. The music was stunning and added such a beautiful touch to our special day, from prior to the ceremony when we met them while setting up to when they finished their last song.
From the moment we contacted them, Amber and the team was professional, organized, and incredibly easy to work with. They were able to help us choose the perfect music for our ceremony, and were on board with all of the choices we made (hello!! who wouldn't want the Game of Thrones theme song on string before walking down the aisle?! Talk about the suspense!). The performance on the day of the wedding was flawless - the music was so fun, beautifully performed, and really set the mood for the ceremony.

Cobalt Strings was fantastic from start to finish! My (then) fiancé and I were looking a long time for a String trio or quartet that was skilled, played modern music, and would be willing to play a few “geeky” songs from tv shows/video games we like: quite a tall ask. Cobalt strings was able to deliver all these things and more. Their music selection was great and allowed us to have a lot of songs we love be played for the wedding. They were also really prompt and friendly with their responses as well as adaptive to our requests. We really appreciated their feedback when it came to music choices and realistic when adapting potential songs into string versions of them. We ended up having “Merry Go Round of Life” from Howl’s Moving Castle, “Ashes” from God of War, and “Reigns of Castamere” from GOT (as an inside joke for guests who know) be the custom songs they adapted. During the wedding, they were able to play all of the music perfectly during the ceremony and adapt to the timing of each walk. We also got them to play during cocktail hour.
We got so many compliments from our guests about Cobalt Strings and their performances! Both older guests and younger enjoyed the music selection. Even guests with a musical background thought they did an excellent job! Funnily enough, the older guests that were familiar with classical music were wondering what some of the modern, fandom songs were as they loved them so much and were surprised to find that they were adaptations of modern songs!
We would 100% recommend Cobalt Strings! They are great for couples that want a mix of older and newer songs, as well as fans of Bridgerton-like modern string adaptations of songs and those wanting custom songs. They played fantastically, and were definitely a highlight of the wedding!

Worth every penny, and then some!
I've known since I was a little girl what song I wanted to walk down the aisle to... I also knew that it was such a niche arrangement that it was unlikely that a group would a) already have a rendition in their repetoire, or b) be willing to learn a new arrangement. Not only did Amber graciously write the most lovely arrangement of our song, but she also sent us a copy of the arrangement with our date and names on it to save as a keepsake. The group is by far the best strings group we've heard at the multitude of weddings we've attended, and we cannot hype them up enough. If the quality of music is important to you (as it was to us, as musicians!) then look no further than Cobalt Strings.

Working with Cobalt Strings was so easy! There are many aspects of wedding planning that can be overwhelming, but if you are looking for talented musicians to play at your wedding, this is an easy one. They are very responsive, helpful, and sweet. Our guests loved them as well.

Perfect Accompaniment To Our Wedding
We absolutely loved having Cobalt Strings at our wedding on July 3rd. The fact that we’re available on a holiday weekend was refreshing. I have one of these girls to play our wedding since the day I proposed. Amber, Sara Beth & Julie were the sweetest and most amazing musicians. Being a (former) viola player myself it was a joy to talk with them before the wedding. I was totally shocked when Sara Beth handed me her instrument and asked me to play something. The group played for our ceremony and cocktail hour. My beautiful bride walked down to their version f “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. Tears started flowing as those first notes began to play! It was epic. Girls, we can’t thank you enough for all you did for us.

Beautiful Music, Lovely to work with!
Amber and her team made our day so lovely! I had always imagined walking down the aisle to strings, and I am so happy that I chose Cobalt Strings for my wedding at the Atlanta History Center on June 11, 2021. We first hired Cobalt Strings pre-pandemic. Amber was flexible with moving the date to the following year to accommodate the changes due to Covid-19. She has a large repertoire of songs to choose from. We did more traditional pre-ceremony music and more modern fun songs for the cocktail hour and several guests commented on how beautiful the music was. Thank you, Amber and team for making this day so special for us! We don't have all the photos back yet from the wedding but I'm attaching a cute one of my little cousin enjoying listening to the pre-ceremony music.

Absolutely AMAZING!!
I don't know if it was the acoustic of my venue or just sheer technique with their string playing, but it sounded like more than three (3) people playing the strings. The music was gorgeous.

Despite having to make several changes to our wedding plans, Cobalt Strings remained flexible and professional throughout the entire process. When a last minute torrential downpour occurred and we were no longer able to have our outdoor ceremony as planned, they adjusted and made a very small space work. They are incredibly talented and provided such a special touch to our intimate ceremony. Thank you Cobalt Strings!

Cobalt Strings was fantastic! You create a completely customized ceremony set list, which really makes your day feel like YOUR day. Their repertoire list is already fairly comprehensive, so we didn't need to request anything custom! The music sounded wonderful and really set the tone for our ceremony!

So Amazing to work with!
We were fortunate enough that our wedding coordinator recommended Cobalt Strings to us. They were absolutely amazing to work with throughout the entire process. We even had to move our wedding from May to October and were so thankful they were available for our new day. They added such a special touch to our ceremony and cocktail hour. We were able to choose from their extensive repertoire for the entire evening and they even wrote a special version of "Rainbow Connection" for us to walk down the aisle to. They helped make our day that much more memorable!

Amazing ceremony music!
We had Cobalt Strings perform our ceremony music and they were amazing! Amber is great to work with and very flexible! We had to postpone out wedding due to COVD and Amber worked with us throughout the entire process. They also provided a long list of songs which was extremely helpful. Cobalt Strings created a wonderful atmosphere for both our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They brought up the level of elegance that we were aiming for. In addition, they are terrific to work with: they are professional, friendly, and responsive. They were more than willing to accommodate one wacky song request that I gave them prior to the wedding. Great Trio
I hired Cobalt Strings to play for both my ceremony and my cocktail hour. Communication and planning with Amber was a breeze. She always returned my emails quickly and helped me choose my musical selections. Unfortunately, I only heard the few pieces they played during the actual ceremony since I was in hiding during the prelude and we were taking pictures during the entire cocktail hour. Guests loved the ambiance the trio created, though, and I had many people comment that Cobalt Strings elevated my event to the next level. These ladies are a class act!

One of my favorite memories was listening to them play during the cocktail hour while taking a moment with my husband away from the party. Cobalt Strings is amazing!! They played at both my wedding ceremony, and the cocktail hour afterword. They were on time, professional: both in their appearance and how they communicated with other vendors and guests, reasonably priced, and just overall super sweet! We received so many compliments. They communicated in advance so we could send them our requests, which they honored. For the rest they chose a beautiful mix of classical music that set the mood for the entire evening, which was exactly what we wanted. We were so pleased with them and would absolutely hire them again if we ever needed live music! Definitely hire them!!

Best wedding decision we made!
Cobalt Strings wrote the music for and learned a song outside their repertoire for our processional and executed it flawlessly. They rehearsed the day of with our friend and vocalist prior to the ceremony, and were able to make changes on the fly, including where they'd be set up for both the prelude/ceremony and cocktail hour due to rain. We couldn't be happier with the results, and so many of our guests raved about them too. They are responsive, incredibly talented, hard working and all around amazing. If you're on the fence about live musicians, hop off and book them now!

Cobalt Strings was recommended to us by our planner, and I am SO glad that she sent their name our way! They are an incredibly talented group, and they made our ceremony sound absolutely beautiful. They even sent us the sheet music for the arrangement they wrote for a song we requested that was not on their list! They are also incredibly easy to work with - super responsive and straightforward. My only regret is that in the whirlwind of the day, I didn't get a chance to say hi or thank them! They were absolutely amazing and I can't wait to get our video back so that I can listen to the music again. Highly recommended!

Rain or Shine - Cobalt made it happen!
I worked mostly with Amber to coordinator our wedding day and she was very responsive and helpful with our song selection! Also it POURED rain right about the time our (outside) ceremony was about to start, so we postponed for about 30 minutes, gathered up and restarted and they didn't even blink an eye! The music was beautiful and I'm so thankful they were flexible and still made it happen!

I loved working with cobalt strings! I will say the added value of live music is tremendous and completely worth it, however, the luxury was out of my budget. I couldn’t say no to classic music because it speaks to my heart, so we went with the added cost.
If you can afford this fabulous addition to your day I would 100% recommend this group!
Working with Amber was seamless and easy to coordinate. I trusted them with all of my choices. I can’t wait to get the ceremony video back with their lovely soundtrack in the background.

One of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding was hiring Cobalt Strings! My husband and I are huge lovers of music, but we were completely stumped on how to incorporate it into our ceremony. We found the perfect solution in Cobalt Strings.
They are the sweetest, most responsive and helpful people to work with. Amber and I traded many an email and had a great phone conversation about what we wanted for our music, and she gave me great ideas and thoughts on how to best incorporate some traditional and contemporary music into everything perfectly. Cobalt Strings' repertoire is so great and has so many wonderful options.
I'll never forget how I felt when I heard such beautiful music playing just before I walked down the aisle. It actually calmed my nerves! In addition, the feeling I felt walking down the aisle with my dad, looking at my groom and hearing my favorite hymn playing was something I hope I never forget, and Cobalt Strings made that feeling possible!
We have not stopped getting amazing compliments from our friends and family about the music at our ceremony, which brings a smile to my face every time!

AMAZING! We had the Cobalt Strings play for our ceremony on April 21, 2018 at the Georgian Terrace Hotel, and they were outstanding. I worked with Amber throughout the process, and she is so knowledgeable, easy-going, calm, professional, and communicative. We talked on the phone and via email several times throughout the months leading up to the wedding, and we were VERY excited about their set list and the music for our wedding. Amber is extremely creative and artistic, and she actually wrote the string music to an acoustic version of Latch by Sam Smith to be the song that I walked down the aisle to. She worked with my coordinator, our Officiant, and myself on the timing of Latch so that I walked down at the perfect time. It was everything I wanted it to be, and our guests commented on how amazing the music was!

I believe that music is what ultimately gets to one’s heart and soul. My husband and I hired Cobalt Strings for our wedding ceremony at The University Yacht Club. I remember standing outside the chapel waiting for our procession...and chills ran through my body as I heard the intro to our special music. As soon as we walked into the chapel I heard the most beautiful, heavenly sound played by Amber and her team. Prior to the wedding, Amber, my husband and I discussed our music list for the wedding in great detail. She patiently listened as we described to her the ambiance that my husband and I were going for. Amber proved to be super knowledgeable and she gave us song ideas that we didn't even think about but fit perfectly with our themes --- a true sign of a professional! At the end of the wedding day, many of our friends and family told us how much they enjoyed Amber and her team's performance. You can't go wrong choosing Cobalt Strings... our guests were so impressed that they are actually booking Amber and her team for their upcoming events.

Cobalt Strings was so wonderful to work with for my wedding! They were extremely professional and also very kind to us. Their quality of music and help coming up with songs for my ceremony was top notch. I would definitely suggest them to others for their wedding!!

We used Cobalt Strings for our wedding in October and couldn't have been more pleased! Amber and team agreed to learn two new songs for our ceremony (one by Of Monsters and Men and the other by The Lumineers) and it sounded even better than I imagined. Highly responsive and organized. 5 stars!

Cobalt Strings is A M A Z I N G ! Cobalt Strings was one of the best most accommodating vendors that I worked with during my wedding planning process. Not only were they professional and easy to work with, but their music was right on point. I spoke to Cobalt Strings about coordinating with my DJ for music that I wanted play during my wedding ceremony, and they did just that to ensure that they played at their designated time and did not interfere with the DJ. Overall, I would highly recommend working with Cobalt Strings; not only did the beautiful music add a nice touch to our wedding, but I feel like I got a great bang for my buck. I’m a very picky person when it comes to quality and delivery of service, and I can truly say Cobalt Strings blew my expectations. This will be the best money that you spend on your wedding day to add a nice touch of class and romance

Cobalt Strings was the icing on the cake for our wedding day! They were very responsive and professional. I worked with Amber who guided me through the experience and she was fantastic. Their music is BEAUTIFUL and makes your day so special. I picked 8 or so songs from the list they provided during the seating of the guests. I wanted to walk down to my favorite song "Come away with me" by Norah jones and they found the sheet music and learned it in time for my big day. All of my guest complimented Cobalt Strings and thought they were amazing. They add elegance that was spot on with what I had envisioned for my big day. I cant say enough wonderful things about them!

Cobalt Strings played for us during our wedding ceremony at Foxhall Resort. They were simply amazing! Added the romantic touch I was looking for! My groom said his favorite part were them playing as I walked down the aisle! Everything about them are wonderful!

Amber Dobbs and Cobalt Strings were a pleasure to work with. We had a string trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Amber made everything easy when it came to choosing our music and understanding the flow of our ceremony. The music was beautiful! Cobalt Strings played for our daughter's wedding at The Chimneys at Big Canoe on Sunday, August 6, 2017. They were absolutely amazing! We had so many wonderful comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the beautiful music. You just cannot go wrong with this wonderful trio! Cobalt Strings provided a string trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were terrific! Very professional, reasonably priced, and true artists. I'm a classical music snob, and although I only was able to hear the last few pieces of the prelude and the ceremony music, I was extremely impressed with their technical artistry. They have a broad repertoire, encompassing both classical music and arrangements of modern music (our cocktail hour included a lot of Beetles and Cold Play). They were extremely easy to work with, and most communications were easily done by email.

Cobalt Strings played for our ceremony at our wedding at Fox Hall in Douglasville, Georgia. Me and my husband are musicians so it was important for us to have great musicians playing. Cobalt Strings did a fantastic job! They were easy to work with from start to finish. They have a great repertoire of music to choose from, and they found two new songs at our request. They even added our exit some to their list :) We highly recommend this group for your event!

Well my one year anniversary finally prompted me to write reviews for our vendors and this one was one of THE BEST we worked with. My only complaint was that my guests got to enjoy their music more than I did, meaning I cannot wait to go to a wedding as guest where Cobalt Strings is playing! They were one of the first vendors I hired. Communication throughout the whole process was seamless and enjoyable. I couldn't recommend Cobalt Strings more.

The music performed by Cobalt Strings at our ceremony was truly one of the highlights of my wedding day. Amber was very easy to work with and was so helpful when picking out ceremony music. The group played beautiful renditions of traditional songs that had me in tears, and capped the ceremony off wonderfully by learning my groom's non-traditional recessional pick, the theme from The Magnificent Seven. I would highly recommend Amber and Cobalt Strings to anyone looking for a string group.

My only advice would be.... hire them! They were WONDERFUL! The Cobalt Strings were so easy to communicate with and made our day extra special. Not only are they talented, but Amber was great in helping me choose some very important pieces. We could not have been happier!

I hired Cobalt Strings to play during the ceremony and cocktail hour for my November 2016 wedding and could not have been happier with the results. They were easy to work with and played beautiful music. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a string trio.

Cobalt Strings was the perfect addition to our wedding! The string duo that we booked completely set the mood for our romantic and religious outdoor ceremony. Amber was a treat to work with throughout the entire process, and was eager to help me work through my song selections to ensure they fit our vision perfectly. Their repertoire list is diverse, and gave us the opportunity to select both classical and modern pieces! The moment I heard the violin and cello playing Canon in D as I walked down the aisle, I was completely overtaken with emotion. They play flawlessly, are a pleasure to work with, and were competitively priced as well!

Our Daughter was married in September of 2016 and I can't believe I'm only just now writing a review! Interacting with Ms. Dobbs was such an easy process and our experience was so delightful.
Prior to the wedding, all questions were answered and we received all contract information in a timely fashion. (All communication was done via email or phone.) After signing the contract, a few small questions and requests came up, and those were treated with equal professionalism. We had asked for a song that wasn't on their list, but they found the music for it and made it happen. I am a bit of a hyper-organized person when it comes to events I host and, given that I'd never had a face to face meeting with Ms. Dobbs, I did make contact the week of the wedding to confirm that we were all set. Of course, we were.
The day of the wedding I honestly didn't even need to introduce myself if I didn't want. The ladies arrived ahead of time, just as they had said they would, they set up and played for our guests seating and, although I am not sure the bride remembers the requested song being played at all, I do, and it was lovely!
We also had the ladies play during cocktail hour which even our guests commented that it was a treat.
We have another daughter getting married soon and as soon as we have a date set, I hope to be able to book Cobalt Strings again.

Cobalt Strings did a phenomenal job providing pre-ceremony and ceremony music for my wedding. From the start, I knew I would have nothing to worry about, as Amber was extremely responsive and helpful in providing any information we needed. She was everything you need a wedding vendor to be! They already have a great repertoire of songs to choose from that includes both classic and contemporary music, but Amber was able to purchase sheet music to fulfill a few additional requests we had with no problem. The only regret I have is that I didn't get to hear the beautiful music, as the wedding party was waiting in a different area than the ceremony space. Everyone we spoke with during cocktail hour was raving about how much they enjoyed the string quartet, and they were surprised by the amount of contemporary songs they played. I would highly recommend working with Cobalt Strings - these ladies are very talented, professional, and accommodating to your needs.

We are so glad our friend referred Cobalt Strings to us! We had the pleasure of having Amber and Juli play at our wedding. It was an outdoor gazebo ceremony in Roswell, GA. They were very professional and helped tremendously in setting the tone for the occasion. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a classic touch to any event.

Wedding Date: June 2015. Firstly, Amber was an excellent communicator via email the weeks leading up to the event. This group was very flexible and accommodating with the song selections and I felt very confident in their abilities. On the day of the wedding, I personally did not interact with the ladies of Cobalt Strings (too busy getting married) but they were very professional, showed up on time, they played exceptionally well and we could not ask for more. Their repertoire list was also very broad with lots of classical and contemporary options and I highly recommend them for any event.
