We cannot imagine our wedding without Casey. From our first call, we knew she was the coordinator for us. She has a calm, no-nonsense demeanor and a wonderfully warm and kind personality – she is exactly the person you want on your team for your wedding day. We booked Coastline for coordination because we wanted to be really hands-on in planning our wedding, but the level of support we had even “only” booking coordination was so spectacular. As we were planning our Maine wedding from New York City, Casey was incredibly helpful with all of our questions. Throughout planning, we felt absolutely at ease knowing we had her support, and when it came to the week and day of we were perhaps the calmest bride and groom our loved ones had ever seen. When an unexpected plus-one showed up before the ceremony, Casey immediately said, “Don’t worry about it,” and found a space for them at dinner, making sure that we did not feel stressed, and handling it delicately enough that no one felt awkward. We truly had the time of our lives and felt like we were working with friends. She and Alex took such good care of us on our wedding day – our glasses were never empty, and they made sure the day flow so flawlessly. There aren’t enough “thank you’s” in the world to express the gratitude we feel for Casey and the Coastline team. -

Casey and the Coastline team were phenomenal. From the start, Casey was a true partner who helped us brainstorm, problem solve, and fine-tune. (My husband and I literally got a photo with Casey on our wedding day because we were so grateful for all her help and wanted to memorialize the moment, if that says anything lol). I would recommend her to anyone -- ESPECIALLY if you're getting married on an island and need a hand with the logistics. We got married on Chebeague Island in June, with a goal of hosting all of our 140 guests on the island. As a note to all brides-to-be: working with a wedding coordinator/planner will feel foreign. And if you are a type A person, it will be a little uncomfortable! I'm extremely organized and it took me some time to let go and create flexibility in my own insane focus on executing and crossing things off my wedding to-do list at all times. I share this because, when hiring a planner, you have to go in eyes wide open: a planner has other couples they are working with. They will not be available at your beck and call. They may take a few days to reply to you, and there will be times that you wish they were answering you immediately––but as with any professional, you've also got to realize that this won't be possible. That said: a good planner should be responsive, attentive, thoughtful, and solution-oriented. Casey was all these things and more.
We chose the coordination package, knowing that we had a 21-month engagement, an extremely detail-oriented bride with event planning experience, and time / energy to handle many of the research, planning, logistics, and vision work ourselves. I'd send pages-long emails with updates and questions to Casey, and she always replied with helpful suggestions and recommendations. And if she didn't, all it took was a quick follow up to get her thoughts and help.
When it came to the month-away mark, she stepped in to coordinate all the communication and took over the relationships and timelines with vendors that I'd booked -- many of whom came from her suggestions. A week before our wedding, she let us know that she had a great videographer who had an opening (and even suggested that we might be able to negotiate a good price given the late notice). Thanks to Casey, we now have an incredible video from our wedding day, which we had not planned on due to budget -- and we can't thank her enough for that. Then, the week of the wedding... she was available and helpful for all the last minute things. When the venue was being oddly unresponsive to questions about set up and guest transportation (on an island that's hard to get around without the help of the venue), Casey jumped in and tracked down a point of contact to assuage our fears. When the DJ started playing the wrong song as my husband walked down the aisle -- she sent a team member sprinting down to change it to the right song in mere seconds. She had our signature cocktails waiting for us right after we walked down the aisle as husband and wife. She set up all our signage, put out guest favors at every reception seat, bustled my gown, helped intervene in some tricky guest dynamics, and really was like another member our wedding party: always there for my husband and I, at every turn. And I won't even begin to outline all of the logistics she helped us coordinate with vendors, which were complex, due to our venue and the constraints of hosting a 140-person wedding on an island you can only reach by boat.
From our wedding rehearsal to the final song, Casey was everywhere and doing everything, a TRUE miracle worker who we couldn't have survived without. We can't thank Casey + the Coastline Weddings team enough, and would recommend them to anyone getting married in the Portland / Southern Maine area. They are a wealth of knowledge and SO worth the investment. Thank you, Casey!!!! -

Casey is the absolute best there is! We planned a backyard ceremony and a reception at a separate venue and Casey, Alex, and the Coastline team coordinated transportation for our guests, catering, photo/video, hair & makeup, rentals/decor, florals, and the band, often at both sites, to make sure everything ran smoothly on our wedding day.
Throughout the process, Casey took the time to get to know us, our style and preferences, and addressed our many questions and concerns as we are not based in Maine. Her in-depth knowledge of and relationships with the many vendors we evaluated and ultimately worked with made all the difference.
We got many comments after the wedding about how thoughtful our design was, but none of that vision would have been brought to life without Casey's can-do (or already-done) attitude and passion for her work.
On top of dealing with everything else, Casey handled a few issues with a newer, more difficult vendor to the point where we barely knew anything was wrong. Casey is a consummate professional and we would strongly recommend her to any couples looking to get married in Maine! -

Choosing Casey & Coastline Weddings as our wedding coordinator was hands-down the most important and best decision we made in our wedding planning process! I got married in my grandparent’s backyard, which involved lots of coordination with vendors and problem-solving as weather conditions changed. Casey was helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process - her zoom calls were organized and helped us think ahead about the most important aspects of the day, and she was very responsive via email. She helped us find a lower cost transportation shuttle and was generally a wealth of knowledge about vendors in Maine! The weekend of our wedding, Casey and her assistant were flexible with changes to the wedding party processional, and even broke out their toolbox to fix our wedding arch when it fell over in the wind and the wooden backing snapped. They set the tables beautifully, and took care of all of our wedding decor as we got ready for the day. We cannot recommend Casey & Coastline Weddings highly enough! -

Casey was a great wedding coordinator - on the weekend of our wedding, she handled all of the details so easily and really reduced the stress we would have otherwise felt to make sure that everything ran smoothly. Casey has several packages - we wanted to do all of the planning ourselves, and have Casey jump in for the final stretch to coordinate the vendors for the day itself. We couldn't be happier that we hired Casey. She had a great attitude, our wedding party and venue and vendors loved her, and she was super responsive and on top of things. Would also especially recommend Casey for LGBT+ couples who are looking for a coordinator who is super experienced with LGBT+ weddings! -

We hired Casey in December 2021 to plan our wedding for August 2022, and it was one of the best decisions we made in this entire process. Her knowledge of Maine vendors, understanding of our vision, flexibility with less traditional ideas, and general positive and open attitude were invaluable for making our wedding exactly what we wanted. I keep saying to people after that "it was my ideal wedding!" This seems obvious since we planned it, but Casey executed it, and it was honestly even better than we could have imagined.
We also hired Casey to do the flowers, which was a great move. The space was gorgeous, the flowers were perfect, every detail felt like us - and that's exactly what we hoped our wedding would be.
Knowing that Casey was handling everything made it really feel like we could enjoy every moment of our weekend without dealing with tiny details.

Where do I begin Casey is amazing! She is very organized, and on top of everything. We hired her closer to the end to help finish up some details and be a day of wedding coordinator. She outdid herself. Every detail was perfect. I was so stress free the day of. Even several months later she followed up to make sure we were happy with everything and there wasn't any loose ends that needed to be tied up. She packed my flowers for my bouquet so I could have them preserved. There is no other person I would have rather had help me through this stressful time. -

I am so happy I worked with Casey at Cassandra Marie Events! Casey is literally the best decision I made for my wedding day. If there was problems during my wedding, I didn't know it! That's how great Casey was. I never felt that I didn't have control over my wedding because Casey really knew exactly how to piece my vision together. Even after my wedding, my guests commented on how well planned and how hard working our wedding planner was. Truly amazing! I CANNOT recommend Casey enough. You absolutely will not regret using her as your wedding planner/designer/day of coordinator. Run, don't walk to book her for your wedding day!!!! -

Perfection!!!
I hired Casey as a day of planner. Living in Boston, I wasn't local so was looking for someone who would coordinate all our vendors and handle the details so we could just enjoy the day. But she went above and beyond. As brides know today, planning a wedding during COVID is stressful. Casey meet with me multiple times prior to the wedding and helped ease my stress. She took care of all vendor logistics, created a detailed schedule that I could view in my client portal, helped me with layouts, and took care of small details I didn't think of. On the day of the wedding, she was an absolute rock star! I didn't have to do or think about anything! Casey took care of it all flawlessly and in a cool and calm manner. Her positive, stress-free, and "no problem" approach truly kept me calm. I was able to relax and fully enjoy the day. I would 100% recommend Casey to anyone who is looking for an organized, down-to-earth, and extremely efficient planner. -

Casey was absolutely incredible! We hired her as a day-of coordinator but she was much more than that! She was always responsive and available to assist with questions and recommendations leading up to the big day. The day of our wedding went absolutely perfect! She understood our vision and executed everything perfectly. I knew when I turned everything over to her, we were in good hands. I did not stress at all on our wedding day and we got to just enjoy the moment with my family and friends. She also was able to help me last minute with florals when our delivery fell through. She is extremely dialed in in the event world here in Maine and has great relationships which was also super helpful day of that she knew most of the other vendors at our wedding. She also was nice enough to help post-wedding with a few tasks while we were on honeymoon which just goes to show how above and beyond she goes. I recommend her highly and hope to work with her and stay in touch because she is also just a rad person! Thank you, Casey! -

Best wedding decision I made
When I first started to plan my wedding I thought "I totally can do this, I don't need to get a wedding planner!" After only a couple of weeks running in circles I realized just how wrong I was and sent Cassandra Marie Events a message. From that first message Casey made my entire wedding planning life so much easier. Every decision I made regarding my wedding she made it seem like there was no other way to do it, even when we wanted unconventional and untraditional items, or when decision making seemed impossible.
Originally we started to plan our wedding just before COVID hit. Because there were so many unknowns, my husband and I decided to push the wedding back a year. Casey worked with all of our vendors to negotiate the new date and all things unknown about wedding planning during COVID. That decision was certainly not an easy one to make. Every text and every phone call I made to Casey she remained calm and supportive of whatever we wanted to do as a couple; regardless of how on edge I was.
Casey was there to help us stay on track when our personal lives got busy. She gave us timelines on when we needed to make decisions. She listened to what we wanted for our wedding and weeded through vendors so we only had to look through the list of vendors that fit our vision. She did all of the research to find us the perfect vendors in an insanely busy wedding season. When everyone seemed booked up, Casey still managed to make our vision a reality. Casey even did our flowers for us!! Our original florist was a friend who is also a nurse. Because of her job, she was working crazy hours and could no longer do our flowers for us. Casey stepped in and made the most beautiful flower arrangements. She listened to what I liked and did not like about sample flower arrangements and knocked it out of the park. The flowers were stunning!
On the day of the wedding Casey was there to set everything up and stayed to tear everything down after the event. She spent her time walking around to make sure everyone was happy and that everything was going through as planned. There was not a guest at my wedding that did not say how impressed they were with the wedding and reception. The food, the DJ, the bartenders, all were Casey's recommendations and each one of them was absolutely perfect!
I could go on and on about how every little detail was in place and how impressed I was with Cassandra Marie Events, it is worth every last penny when you hire Casey for your planning needs. I whole heartedly would recommend her to anyone. -

We hired Casey for our day of coordination in early 2020 for our original wedding plans and she was so flexible throughout the whole process. While we changed dates, decided to elope and just have a reception, changed layouts weeks before to accommodate outside only-- the constant was having Casey as a sounding board to make our ideas come to life. The day of Monica stepped in to help execute everything perfectly and made sure the day ran so smoothly. I can't thank them both enough for not only being so patient throughout our many changes, but also helping to make our day exactly what we imagined. If you are looking for a day of coordinator, I highly recommend Casey and her team! -

Wonderful in every way - best decision we made!
Casey was incredible to work with and made our wedding weekend run seamlessly. She helped us with planning logistics, managing and confirming our other vendors, and day-of coordination. She thought of everything we didn't, and was a great sounding board for ideas I thought I had worked out, but hadn't thought of contingency plans for. There are no words to describe how helpful her day-of efforts were -- she helped ensure everything was setup properly, logistics ran smoothly for all the transitions between events, and was overall a perfect guiding hand that made everything appear perfect - regardless of any behind the scenes effort.
She was extremely responsive during the planning process, and a friendly reassuring presence during the weekend of our wedding. We planned a destination wedding for a weekend-long event at a summer camp, and she was extremely flexible in meeting us the few times we were in town for venue visits.
Overall, we have no regrets and would hire Casey again in a heartbeat - the only thing we would change would be hiring her earlier in the process! -

She was organized, knowledgeable, professional and most of all fun to work with! She came to our first meeting with a time table and it was SO helpful. She helped me pick the venue (that was perfect!!) when I had exhausted all my own ideas. From then on it was smooth sailing, with the tent rental, flowers, decorations, music, catering and all the endless day-of set-up. My daughter and her husband absolutely LOVED their day!! I highly recommend Casey to anyone!

Jamie Sent on 03/28/2018We always wanted a rustic wedding and Casey knew right where to start. We found an affordable venue! A beautiful barn that had much of what we needed included. It had a bar, tables, chairs, and a beautiful outside space for the ceremony and lawn games. We were on a budget and like to do things ourselves, but Casey was there to assist. She helped getting our flowers. We had amazing bouquets from Skillins, but chose to get our decorative/centerpiece flowers from Trader Joe's and Sam's club. She suggested bar tenders and caterers that fit our budget. Our BBQ was amazing! She even had items that we could rent that added to how fun our day was! The cornhole boards were amazing! Our guests said our wedding was a blast! The major benefit of hiring Casey... to not have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. She was there to set up, helped us with our rehearsal, and just let us enjoy all of it. She was there from start to finish. If you are looking for some one that is attentive, detailed, willing to get creative on a budget, and just really a life saver... hire Casey you won't regret it.

We hired Casey as our day-of-coordinator, knowing that we could plan our wedding, but that we wanted to make sure it was executed smoothly. Our day was incredible and we didn't find out about any issues (which were minor) until the end of the evening, which allowed us to thoroughly enjoy our wedding! Casey is highly knowledgeable about local Maine vendors and recommended several to us after we struggled to find hair & makeup, signage, transportation and dessert during this especially busy wedding season. She always answered our questions and gave us good advice and ensured we weren't missing anything while in the planning process. We hired her for day-of, but really, we worked with her during the entire planning process. She and team were so professional during our wedding - our guests complimented us on how well they managed the event. I'd highly recommend Casey and Cassandra Marie Events for your wedding day! -

This is my first time writing a negative review for a service provider, but I feel it is 100% warranted after I directly emailed my complaints to Casey after the wedding and she didn’t have the courtesy to reply in a timely manner (it’s been a week). My wife and I hired Casey to be our day of wedding coordinator. From the very start, her slow email response times were concerning to us. With her being hired as the person who is responsible for efficiently communicating with all of our vendors, the fact that she was slow to communicate with us (sometimes over a week to reply) caused a lot of concern. Unfortunately, Casey wasn’t able to be our on-site coordinator for the day of our wedding, but she assigned us one of her employees, Haley, who she claimed had done nearly a dozen weddings in the past. After meeting Haley, while she was kind and respectful, it was evident to not only us, but all of our other vendors and guests that she had very little experience. When we asked Haley questions during the ceremony rehearsal, her go to response was “it’s really up to you..however you want to do it.” While this may be true, when members of our family/bridal party were asking her specific questions, we were hoping for more of a helpful reply. During the rehearsal, Haley wasn’t able to get everyone’s attention and needed me to assist with this, as if it was her first time running a wedding rehearsal and speaking in front of a large group. After this, many family/bridal party members expressed concern that Haley wouldn’t be able to run the ceremony/wedding effectively. The night before my wedding I lost sleep over how concerned I was about Haley getting in the way of the wedding that we had already done all the planning for, since she didn’t seem to be aware of the timeline/schedule/etc. The day of the wedding, Haley needed to ask me for our seating chart and layout for the ceremony, two things that Casey should have already provided her with and that she shouldn’t have had to ask me for on my wedding day. Perhaps Haley’s biggest mistake was during the ceremony. She had forgotten to remind my wife to hold her bouquet while walking down the aisle, something that an experienced coordinator would have quickly picked up on. When our florist approached Haley after the ceremony to question why my wife didn’t have her bouquet, she replied “Oh, I thought she had it with her.” Another big mistake was the fact that it was 15 minutes before we were about to invite people into our tent for the reception, and none of the candles/lights in the tent were lit. This was something we expected Haley to be on top of. Luckily for us, our florist realized this and ran over to the tent to start lighting all the candles, which a few minutes later Haley picked up on and began helping with. During the wedding, Haley did a poor job communicating with our other vendors and being on top of the schedule. A few hours into the wedding, I spoke with my photographers who claimed Haley had yet to introduce herself. One of the responsibilities we asked Haley to take care of was distributing tip envelopes to our vendors on their way out. Of course, two of our vendors were leaving the wedding and I went up to ask them if they received their envelopes, which they didn’t. I had to remind Haley two times to gives specific vendors their tips. When it came time to remind our DJ to do parent dances, I had to go up to the DJ to do that myself since Haley was nowhere to be found. These are just a few of the things we were disappointed with when it came to hiring CME. The only thing Haley was helpful with was set-up the morning/afternoon of the wedding. If we asked her to help with something, she was on top of it. However, this is something we could have easily hired a friend to do for a heck of a lot cheaper than what we paid. Luckily for us, most of our vendors were close friends of ours who went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went smoothly, but we certainly don’t attribute any of the wedding’s success to CME.
