  Hi guys! Seriously, let me save you some time with your Photographer search. Ryan and his team are absolutely amazing. Our original wedding day was of course postponed because, well COVID happened...so we pushed it out to 10/15/20. Ryan was very flexible in working with us to make our new date work, which as you can imagine rescheduling an OBX wedding 5 months later can be quite stressful...but he made everything so easy.
  
  As for our wedding day itself, absolutely perfect. Ryan and his team captured every moment that we could've possibly imagined...and then some. His creativity and attention to detail just absolutely blew us away, so far beyond anything we had imagined or hoped for. He somehow even managed to make me not look like the blubbering mess I totally was...and that had to have been a feat in itself. I warned my wife ahead of time that I was going to be a mess...and I wasn't wrong, for that Ryan, thank you! When I logged in to write this review, I saw he even has our first dance photo as his main photo, what an amazing shot...that in itself shows his creativity. The man was standing on about a 5ft fence ledge, and captured what is by far our favorite photo of all, this is the kind of stuff you get with Ryan...original outstanding work.
  
  I promise you that you will not be disappointed if you get the opportunity to hire Ryan to capture your day, I know we will be forever grateful. Ryan gave us the chance to relive our special day, the absolute best day of my life...over and over, so vividly...and there's no price tag on that. Do yourself a favor and grab Coastal Shots if you can. I’ll add a few of our favorites.

  Amazing Photographer

  Ryan was absolutely amazing!! We chose him as our wedding photographer and he was one of our favorite vendors. He made us feel so comfortable, he was professional, and he made taking photos a fun experience. The list goes on and on, and I would recommend him to any and everyone.

  Amazing photographer

  Ryan and Courtney took family photos for my in laws before the wedding and also did my new brother and sister in laws wedding year ago, so I knew his quality of work is impeccable. Very very easy to work with - especially if you like us and not huge picture people! Working with them was easy and also fun!

  The BEST decision we made

  If you are considering hiring a photographer in the OBX, Ryan with Coastal Shots should be it! When we got our photos back, my cousin said "I said it once and I’ll say it again, we need to hire them for every 👏🏼future👏🏼event!" Ryan and Valerie were so sweet, patient, talented and fun. They made us feel so comfortable, especially my husband, who doesn't love getting his picture taken. The best thing Ryan did was take a photo of us with all of our guests as we were processing out. I will treasure these forever!

  Ryan and his wife couldn’t of did a better job! They were amazing and even got some shots we decided we wanted last minute the day of. The quality of the pictures and the amount we got was more then I could of imagined. We stayed at the Black stallion and they made sure to get us over to the sunset bridge to get some amazing sunset shots and even gave us a ride in there own car to do so. I’m so in love with our pictures and 100% recommend. If your wanting amazing photos and the perfect price then book them!

  We recently hired Ryan for our September 2022 wedding, and he was amazing! We had a laid back wedding and he was flexible with timing, great with posing us and making us feel and look our best. We asked for some 'sneak peek' photos to post on social media and he had them to us on wedding day. Better yet, we got our entire gallery of 500+ photos back in 2.5 weeks. Overall, amazing experience!

  Stunning photos!

  We cannot thank Ryan enough for capturing our special day the way that he did! He captures the true beauty of the Outer Banks in all of his photos. He is SO much fun to work with, makes sure everyone feels comfortable, and pays close attention to details. We plan on using him in the future for family portraits while vacationing in the Outer Banks :)

  Ryan is the best!! We used him for our wedding this summer and he was amazing. Ryan was very responsive leading up to the wedding day, answering every email quickly and thoroughly. I am very self-conscious and made Ryan aware of this before the wedding day, and he was very reassuring. Neither myself or my husband consider ourselves particularly photogenic, but we are absolutely IN LOVE with our pictures. The final photos were also ready within a month of our wedding, which we thought was very quick. Ryan’s partner Val was amazing as well. They worked beyond their job description, calming our nerves and Val even helped me put my veil on! They took so many amazing pictures that it was hard to choose our favorites. We highly recommend using Coastal Shores Photography - you will not be disappointed!!

  Most amazing photographers with the best personalities

  Coastal shots captured our day so perfectly...and the most amazing part was that even without doing a first look, and having a huge bridal party and big families they barely even took up any of our time yet they still produce sooo many beautiful pictures. With less than 30 minutes left to cocktail hour, I last minute asked if we could squeeze in any beach pictures (our venue was a few minute drive from the beach) & Ryan made it happen and still got us back in time not delaying the reception at all. The all inclusive package that they offer made everything so stress free during planning and is an AMAZING value. In addition, since we planned our wedding several states away, we did not meet them until the day of our wedding when they arrive yet they made the day so comfortable and fun!

  Perfect Day Captured Perfectly

  Finding Coastal Shots was a blessing for our wedding! We found him through our venue's preferred vendors and it was the best decision! He captured our day perfectly. Our final shots were AMAZING! I wish my house was big enough to hang every last picture. He was so comfortable and worked with us so well. He especially was very patient, which was a blessing with having young children in the wedding. Thank you Ryan and team for helping make our day perfect!

  Simply the best!

  Weddings are stressful and Ryan of Coastal Shots removed a lot of that stress. His experience, professionalism, and humor helped guide us through our special day despite the chaos or our lack of experience. Especially imporant was Ryan's ability to capture the beauty in our aquarium venue. We used Coastal Shots for our engagement photos as well and it was one of my favorite lifetime experiences. We received so many compliments about our photos and how they were the most beautiful anyone had seen.

  Ryan was absolutely amazing. He made Keith & I super comfortable and Ryan knew all the best spots for our photos. We had a last minute wedding change and Ryan was super flexible on his end. He captured all the moments we wanted and more. He was super nice, was very responsive and fun to be around.   Best of the Best!!

  I can’t begin to tell you how amazing our experience was with Ryan. He was extremely personable and made the entire experience not just comfortable but fun!! He took SO many great photos to choose from!!! He fit in right in with the family ! Extremely professional and always was looking for what derek and I wanted out of our pictures- when we didn’t know he seemed to know for us!!! He even ventured out onto the beach with 25 mph winds in the extreme cold with sand hitting our faces just to get the perfect shot!!! I would recommend him over and over again. He was someone who made the day memorable and enjoyable - the pictures just happen to be an added bonus!!!

  Awesome Photographer

  Ryan Diegelmann was so perfect for our wedding! He and his assistant were super sweet and let us test out all different locations for our photos. We loved the passion they both showed for photography and also for us. They really are amazing at what they do and we so think anyone should hire them! You will not regret having photographers who truly care for you and taking photos that will last a lifetime!

  Ryan and Val were amazing with communication leading up to our big day. They helped us reschedule our original date due to COVID.
  
  We met Ryan and Val at the 2020 OBX Wedding Expo. After seeing 20+ vendors it can get a little overwhelming but not with these two. We immediately felt comfortable with them.
  
  We had so much fun with Ryan and Val on our wedding day. We immediately bonded with them and felt like they were part of the family.
  
  We would highly recommend them for your engagement sessions, family photos and wedding!

  Incredibly attentive!

  Ryan with Coastal Shots went above and beyond on our wedding day! He did whatever he needed to get great shots, even on a windy beach day! Things got a little behind and he reminded me several times not to worry. He made us laugh on several occasions and we couldn’t recommend him enough! Thank you so much Ryan!

  Magical rainbows

  Ryan is hands down amazing! he fit right in with our family and friends and ugh the chicken nuggets best ;) *my maid of honor had chicken nuggets in her pockets ;)
  Ryan and Val 100% wonderful and i cannot wait to see what they have for us we were lucky to have a rainbow and ugh cant wait!

  Best Photographer Hands Down

  Ryan and his team were beyond amazing. They were super laid back and relaxed, which made me relaxed.
  
  I had told him some key moments I wanted imaged and he went above and beyond. You do NOT need to look any further than him! They stayed the whole entire day to make sure every moment was captured, even the ones I missed, (being the bride).
  
  The photos came out absolutely stunning! I am so excited to hang these in my house. I will be using him again for family portraits years to come.
  
  Again, thank you so much for making our day that much more special. We are so happy you were our photographer and we can not wait to use you in the future!

  Words can not express how amazing Ryan and Haley were to work with! They were flexible, accomadating, prompt and comforting. They both answered questions and provided support throughout our wedding planning process. They captured so many special moments of our day! Even with a hurricane in our midst, they never skipped a beat. I loved working with them! I would recommend them to everyone and we plan on doing future family sessions with them as well!! If you want photographers who are friendly, professional and supportive... Coastal Shots is the way to go!

  Ryan was so phenomenal! He was flexible, responsive, professional, fun, and the perfect balance of energetic and relaxed! You can tell he loves what he does—we had such a great time taking all of our pictures. Our guests came to us during the wedding and raved about Ryan. The photos were absolutely stunning and captured every little detail of our big day. Ryan even went out of his way last summer to photograph us on our postponed/initial wedding date after a few schedule changes. We are so thankful for Ryan at Coastal Shots and all of his hard work and the love he put into our photos!
