We had our wedding reception at the rec center January 21 and it was beautiful. We did have some uplighting, which really helped give that formal feel. But the room is great, it is simple and ready to be decorated for any type of occasion. We didn't use chair covers, the white folding chairs were a good fit for our beach formal wedding. The staff was great, extremely helpful and friendly.

Awesome venue and place to get married! The view is beautiful and beach like without the beach traffic in the background. The room is white and beautiful ready for you to decorate with whatever you desire! Marty was awesome to talk to with room set up and he definitely was a pleasure to work with!

We saw pictures of the venue and just loved it. We booked it before we ever say it in person. It's just beatiful right on the water. We had our ceremony on the little grassy area, and our cocktail hour on the deck. The deck it just wonderful, and a lot of our guest spent time out there. The reception was inside and the room is the perfect size and a nice blank canvas.

The rec center was perfect for a beach wedding, without having to be in the sand. It looks plain and simple, but once it was all done up, it was a beautiful location. The many windows with views of the water add a special touch. The deck out back, is perfect for a cocktail hour. Even though it was Spring Break time, parking worked out great, and was not an issue for the guest. The staff at the rec center sets up all of the tables and chairs, and the price of the venue can not be beat! You can bring in all of your own vendors, which is great, since many places have specific caterers you must use. Overall, a beautiful location.

If you are looking for a beautiful outdoor location for your wedding and you are on a tight budget, this is your place!!! My wedding planner recommended the location and when I saw it in person, I was sold. We held both our ceremony and reception here and it turned out stunningly beautiful. We had the ceremony under the oak tree overlooking the water and the weather was superb. I can't stop looking at the pictures. The setting was just breathtaking. The reception site is great as well. Since it is all white inside, it's like a blank slate. Take your vision and run with it and you can make it look like anything your heart desires! They were very easy to work with. Best of all, they set up and tear down the tables and chairs for your at no extra charge. You don't have to worry about paying to rent tables and chairs either. It's all included!

Dan and his assistant at Clearwater Recreation Center were amazing. They clearly explained to us how to reserve the location. The fee was affordable and the setup was excellent. Arranging the wedding from long distance poses several difficulties but using vendors such as Clearwater Recreation Center who are responsive and attentive makes the process that much easier. Definitely a recommended location for those who are looking to have a wedding in Clearwater, FL.

If you are looking for an affordable venue that can seat close to 200 guest than Clearwater Recreation Center is the best place. We chose this location because of location and affordability. For the location and price you can take your savings and decorate the venue yourself or hire a decorator.

We are so pleased with how everything turned out that we would recommend this venue to anyone who has to pay for their own wedding or would like to pay for their own wedding. The venue has minimal restrictions and allows you to provide your own caterer and provide your own alcohol for your wedding or event.

They have held many weddings/events and will assist you through your planning. Dan who was assisting us was very pleasant and professional. We live in Denver, CO and corresponded with Dan from a far, along with our DJ, Grant Hemond and associates and our wonderful photographer, Melissa Lauren from Melissa Lauren Images.

We are very pleased with how our day turned out and the pictures from the venue look amazing!

I just got married here November 18th and could not have asked for a more beautiful venue and location. The rec center is a blank slate, perfect for the DIY bride, like myself. Dan and Marty were awesome and answered all of my questions and really helped me feel comfortable. Bonus? The place is very affordable. Highly recommended!

We held our ceremony and reception here and it turned out beautifully. The setting is gorgeous, and I could have the ceremony by the water, without having to deal with the sand. Its really affordable, and you can book it for the amount of time that you want. The reception hall was spacious and they let us decorate it ahead of time. Its kind of a blank canvas, so any theme/color will work there.
The room holds up to 180 people.. we had 140 and it was perfect. We also used two of the round tables out on the deck, and there was still plenty of space. The venue made for great photos by the water! It was really a perfect place to have it!

Clearwater Beach Recreation Center Social Hall, Speechless! That is what we have to say about the venue location, view and services provided! This was the very best location to have our daughter's wedding reception! With windows all around, the beautiful view over the bay was in every direction! The outside deck is very large and was decorated too and our bar and Hor 'Doeuvres station was setup on the deck, along with high top tables, so guests could enjoy being outside any time they wished. Inside was decorated beauifully as well and it was wonderful having most of the tables and chairs needed available already at the venue, so our planner didn't have to rent additional ones. The kitchen made it easy for our caterer to do their job as well. I know this is a popular venue for wedding receptions and we were very lucky to find it availalbe for our daughter's wedding! The Clearwater Beach Rec Center was the ideal location for my wedding. It was beautiful and really showed our guests how beautiful Clearwater Beach was. I strongly recommend people to utilize this location for their wedding. Not only is it beautiful but very affordable.

We looked at 20-30 different venues in the Tampa Bay area and found the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center to be the best value for us. The location is very scenic and most importantly, they are very flexible on external vendors. The staff is very helpful and great to work with as well.

Everyone at the rec center were very professional and helpful. They set up all tables and chairs to my exact layout. The building and grounds were very clean and modern. It was very easy to transform the large white room into a Wedding Paradise. Anything that came up ,they were ready to help. Special Thanks to Dan and Marty!

We loved having our wedding here! The venue is beautiful with a big open room with windows covering two of the walls so you get a great view of the ocean, deck, and boat docks outside. We were able to have our wedding outdoors, cocktail hour on the deck, and dinner/dancing inside so we were really able to use all of the space we were allotted. They let you bring in all outside vendors here without any additional fees, meaning we could bring in our caterer, bartender, and DJ and not have to choose from a list of pre-approved vendors from them. You also don't have to pay any extra insurance to serve alcohol here which saved us even more money. All of your tables and chairs are included with the price here and you can take them outside (which some venue's don't allow)- and you don't have to set up or take any of them down. You just give them a diagram of how you want everything set up and they do it all for you. What I really liked about the Rec. Center is that they don't overcomplicate things; so many of the venue's we looked at had such a huge list of rules and regulations. They make it so easy to plan things here and (within reason) let you do what you want with the space. We were able to put up ceiling decor, drop off most of our things the night before (and were able to leave it until the next day so we didn't have to clear out the whole space the night of the wedding), hang lanterns from trees, and have our dog there. We loved having our ceremony/reception here and it's the perfect place to have an outdoor wedding, especially if you've got guests from out of town. They are also very affordable and I didn't see one other place that could compare to their prices. I would highly recommend them!

Best place on Clearwater Beach for your reception. Beautiful views of the intercoastal and well worth your money.

This was an awesome location for our destination wedding reception. The deck for the cocktail hour was gorgeous -- guests loved the view. We hired a company to decorate and transform the interior from a blank canvas to a gorgeous reception. It was nice being able to bring in our own alcohol and caterer.

Clearwater Beach Recreational Center and Library

The building is very spacious and the scenery overlooking the water is beautiful, inside and out. I immediately fell in love and booked my wedding date after a tour of the facility, although our wedding date isn't until April 2020, I didn't want to miss out on this venue. The building holds up to 180 people and the outside deck is a plus

Aside from being charged a $700 deposit, then $55 an hour for EACH and every hour you are in the building (decorating, and reception), the place was awesome. It's a blank slate ready to be made up into your fairytale! Loved that they supplied all chairs and banquet tables, they also set up and placed, and also placed chairs outside for the ceremony. We had our ceremony in the park right outside, cocktail hour on the patio, and it was beautiful!

The Clearwater Beach Rec Center was a venue listed under Amici's Catering in Oldsmar, where my husband and I had tasted food and loved it! We wanted a venue that would allow us to use this catering company and the Rec Center was perfect! My husband and I love the water and fishing, so it was only fitting we get married on the water. I don't care for the sand, so this was absolutely perfect that it is right along the water on grass, more secluded than the touristy, beach side of Clearwater Beach, and has a beautiful deck on the side. The room itself is a blank canvas that you can customize to your style! The venue was perfect for our pictures and the perfect spot to enjoy the gorgeous weather we had on our wedding day. Parking is public at the beach which concerned us, but our guests had no problem on our wedding day. I would highly recommend this venue for any couple who desires to get married along the water!

Our coordinator- Marty- was really friendly and helped out a lot, definitely made friends with a lot of our guests. The venue as a whole was simply gorgeous and let us have pretty much free reign with what we wanted to do, was really helpful in decor. The only complaint I have would be the flexibility of time- it was difficult for us getting everything set up and ready in time. However, they were professional and courteous and our vendors liked working with them as well. During the reception indoors, the natural light was beautiful. And our guests saw dolphins outside from the dock- so pretty. The dock was a great place to take photos as well. And, this all came at a fabulous price. I definitely recommend the Rec Complex to other brides!

We reserved a beach area for our wedding site from the city of Clearwater. It was very simple. I sent a check in the mail along with a form and when the time came I was given the permit. We really didn't need it as no one bothered us. There was more than enough metered parking in front of our area as well as across the street at the recreation center. We had a ton of onlookers that were enjoying the beach that afternoon. Most of them gathered quietly on the pier to watch. We had a great applause once the ceremony was over. I highly recommend going through the city for your beach ceremony. Going through a hotel will be costly and restrictive. I paid $100 and got a beautiful beach ceremony!

The hall is beautiful and in a great location. Our ceremony area was breath taking on the inner coastal. Our out of town guests loved the view. But, there was little time for set up and they count every minute you are there.

We chose the Clearwater rec center for our wedding venue because the location is very beautiful inside and out. It is located on the inter coastal waterway in Clearwater, so while it isn't on the beach it is still on the water. The have a park behind the building where our ceremony was performed, right on the water. Our reception was held inside the building, which was big enough to hold our 150 guests. The room is very nice, there are plenty of windows that we were able to watch the sunset out of. They also have a nice little deck to use. Our wedding was earlier in the day, starting at 2pm, so they were very accommodating, letting us come in the day before to set up some of the major things to help our time management. The only negative thing I have to say is that set up of tables and chairs is supposed to be included in the rental price, yet I was told after the wedding that no one was there who would set up our chairs for the ceremony. Luckily I had a great coordinator and lots of family there to help with the set up. It was a beautiful day and overall a great location.
