I recommend Heather and Rob Photography 110%. From consultation to execution, their wedding photography services are truly stellar. My husband and I have been looking over wedding photos taken by Rob, and he really captu74red the joy of our big day. The photos bring a huge smile to my face as I look over them six months afterwards.
Throughout the planning process, Rob lent his expertise and asked pertinent questions designed to help us understand which kinds of photos would mean the most to us. My husband and I valued candid photos of us and our guests most of all to capture the moments that we may miss in our hustle and bustle. Rob did an excellent job capturing so many dear moments, in the moment.
Rob also encouraged us to take a “Romantic” photo shoot of just us after our wedding guests had departed. I am so glad we took his advice! They are some of our favorite photos of just us, and we had fun while doing it, too!
We were also grateful for the professionalism Rob showed while having to pivot from pre-determined plans. In short, it rained! Our family photos were planned for an outdoor space to accommodate larger family photos. Rob quickly changed course and arranged excellent family photos.
I could write even more about Heather and Rob Photography, but I know information overload is real during wedding planning! For wedding photography, I feel the choice is simple: You can trust Heather and Rob Photography.

Amazing!
Our wedding was October 8th, 2023 in MD at Martins Caterers Valley Mansion! Heather and Rob both outdid themselves with their professionalism and quality! We were so happy to have Heather and Rob there for our special day capturing every moment of the best night of our lives! If we could give a 10 star rating we would! My husband and I would 100% both totally recommend them for any special event or special gathering! Thank you Heather and Rob for all your hard work! -

Rob and Heather have a great eye to make your photos unique and special. They had lunch with us and got to know us so they had a better understanding of what we wanted and got a list of the photos we could not live without. Great pictures -

Rob and Heather's photo gallery speaks for itself in terms of the absolutely amazing moments they will capture on your big day. What you don't get to see, unless you have the pleasure of working with them, is the energy between this beautiful husband and wife team. This energy permeates throughout your entire experience. They work so well together, which translates to how well they are going to work with you and your families. They are responsive, professional, organized, punctual and thorough. But they are also hilarious, personable, sweet and simply wonderful to spend your day with.
Truth train: Heather and Rob were my photographer's 7 years ago for my 1st wedding to my 1st husband and they were so INCREDIBLE I didn't think twice about hiring them again for my 2nd wedding to my forever husband. ;) That may seem like an interesting or odd choice, but they are just.that.good.
Anyone who chooses Rob and Heather are lucky beyond words! They are THE BEST! -

Heather and Rob were great to work with during our unexpectedly long engagement, our elopement, and finally our “big” wedding! They were responsive, professional, and clearly very skilled at what they do (see our attached photos—it was hard to pick just a few favorites for this review!) Their technical expertise combined with their eye for creative shots makes for beautiful work, and we’re so glad we picked them to help preserve our memories forever. -

Heather & Rob didn't take our wedding pictures, but they did help afterwards by doing an amazing job with editing the photos we had! I'm so pleased with the way the edits turned out and communication was quick and easy. Pricing was very fair.
I'm so glad I found them since our wedding photographer didn't provide editing! -

Heather and Rob are amazing! They were so flexible with a COVID postponement and honestly one of the benefits of postponing will be getting photos from them 3 times from the engagement shoot, the covid micro-wedding, and the main reception next year. At our micro-wedding, they went above and beyond dealing with snow and cold weather and helping us arrange florals and tell people where to stand for the ceremony. They were careful and wore masks the whole time. They're so creative and we couldn't be more pleased with our pictures. Finally, they offer such a great value because they're a husband and wife team, so you get 2-shooters who are used to working together instead of just 1 person which is the starter package for most other photographers. Definitely book them before someone else does! -

Heather and Rob are one of a kind! Their work ethic is impeccable. During my wedding day, I felt like they were extended family. They blended right in with everyone. When I say blended in, I mean that you didn’t always see them but you knew that they captured everything. Our guests loved them! They moved around the room with stealth. A big thing for my husband and I were to work with good spirited people and we found that in Heather and Rob. I love that they are passionate about their work. It shows throughout their pictures and the way that they conduct themselves at our wedding. Thank you so much Heather and Rob! -

We were blown away with Heather and Rob. We had an engagement photo session to get our feet wet with being photographed and Heather and Rob made us feel completely comfortable. They were warm, welcoming, easy to work with, timely with responses, and really became part of our family the day-of. Our family and friends raved about our photographers, and they worked so well with our videographer, they thought all three were working together for years. Heather and Rob took our ideas and infused their own to glean truly timeless photos. To say we recommend them is an understatement :-)
One more thing!! HUGELY important and widely underestimated - Heather and Rob had 150+ photos available the NIGHT OF our wedding. This was so meaningful, as we had ill family members that couldn't attend and were able to see pictures the same weekend. -

My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better pair of photographers!!! We had met Heather and Rob at a wedding show and instantly connected with them! They had done our friends wedding and we heard nothing but amazing things so we were super excited that they seemed to be the perfect match for us! From the start of the engagement shot, to receiving our wedding video everything was perfect! We got so many amazing shots and we’re so comfortable with them throughout the process! Heather and Rob are so accommodating and we’re willing to do anything necessary to get the right shot (even some fireball :) ) Our photos and video turned out better than we could have ever hoped. Heather and Rob really went above and beyond during our wedding planning process! Their creativity and expertise really showed in our engagement and wedding photos (June 2019).
Our engagement shoot included with the package was a very smooth and effortless experience. A last minute photo suggestion by Heather during our engagement shoot turned out to be our save the date! It was awesome to have different perspectives for our photos with great attention to detail. They were able to capture so many essential candid and dance photos during our wedding that we included prints with our thank you cards. They were efficient and organized each day. Very attentive with quick responses to any questions/concerns. Great price, greater product. Very honest and authentic couple that we loved working with. Their efforts allowed us to maximize our special moments with friends and family on our big day while capturing phenomenal photos we'll enjoy for years to come. For that we'll be forever grateful! Highly recommend!

Unforgettable
I still get teared up thinking how much Heather and Rob meant to us on our special day. We asked them to capture the fun and love, and they delivered on that tenfold! They seamlessly blended in with our family and friends, and are some of the most talented individuals we have ever met! They are also EXTREMELY professional; on time, respectful, but also felt like we’d know them forever. We cannot say enough good things about Heather and Rob!! -

Once my bride-to-be and I picked our venue site, largely based on some pictures we'd seen online of other weddings there, we quickly hired the photographers who took those pictures - Clean Slate/Heather and Rob. It was the best decision we made. Heather and Rob met with us very early on in the process to get an idea of what we were looking for and to get to know us. We felt very comfortable with them and they proved to be great resources for us moving forward. They did a good job with our engagement photo session and remained available to us in the months leading up to our big day. We haven't yet received our full, finished photos from the wedding, but the sneak peak was made available to us before we even woke up the next morning and they are AMAZING. We can't wait to see the rest of the photos, and I would not hesitate to recommend Clean Slate/Heather and Rob to anybody looking for photographers. -

A couple of years ago, I introduced my husband (boyfriend then) to Heather & Rob and told him "this is our future wedding photographers"! We all laughed, but my mind was made years ago when I first saw their work. Them being real people, was my favorite thing about them. Real people meaning they don't make you feel like they are just doing a job... they are comforting throughout one of the biggest days of your life, giving a breath of fresh air on a very hectic day. Not only are they simply enjoyable people, but their photos are amazing! They make a whole lot of something out of what you thought was a whole lot of nothing because their eyes are just THAT good. The way they capture the most special moments is like no other. Our guests and friends keep asking for their information because they are so impressed. There is no need to try to convince anyone to book with them because if you simply see their work & meet this amazing couple, you'll be sold from there. There's not enough words to explain how grateful we are to have had them capture our biggest day. Thank you, Heather and Rob! -

Personable and Fun Photographers!
Clean Slate was the first vendor we booked after STRONG recommendations from multiple family members and friends. Heather and Rob were a huge part in making our day so stress free and fun. Not only were the pictures amazing (and there were a ton!) but they included everything from the finer details of our decor to amazing candid shots. I was also stunned at how many photos they got while barely seeing them all night. They were really good at blending in with the crowd and not being in your face. My fiance and I are not super comfortable getting our photos taken, so this was a huge plus. Heather and Rob are extremely down to earth and made the entire process enjoyable. The best part about using Clean Slate was how quickly they got all the photos we wanted. My wedding party (and my fiance and I) were anxious about missing out on the cocktail hour or part of our reception. 10/10 recommend Heather and Rob! It will be the best decision you make for your wedding day. -

AMAZING husband and wife team!!!
I got married on October 7, 2018. Heather and Rob were FANTASTIC to work with!!! I am extremely meticulous when it comes to choosing vendors and I wanted to ensure that I had the best of the best for my wedding day. This was essentially the most important day of my life and I wanted to make sure I had pictures that captured all of those important moments I missed during the day. Heather and Rob were like ninjas and most of the time I forgot they were even there. I had interviewed and spoken with over 30 photographers. We really wanted a husband and wife team to capture our special day. But I made sure to do a lot of research before meeting Heather and Rob. During our first meeting, I asked every question I could think of and the “uncomfortable” ones and not once were they bothered or uncomfortable with anything I asked. They were such a breath of fresh air!! After our first meeting was over, my husband and I knew they were OUR photographers!! We briefly confirmed with each other and within the next 2 hours I called Rob and secured our date! They were extremely communicative throughout the process and even graciously took phone calls from my controlling, overbearing mother (which I apologized profusely). The day of our wedding they were early, set up and were ready to go by the times stated on our day of timeline. Everything went great on the photography end. We were about 40 minutes behind for the reception but that was due to our venue manager and wedding coordinator. I was so impressed with Heather and Rob we added an extra hour to our package and it was well worth it!! We contracted for 9 hours and an “after session.” When we decided to book them, we had already done our engagement photos and the engagement session was included with their package. I had the idea of having a “Day After” session so my husband and I can take photos together uninterrupted since we knew the wedding day would be crazy enough! Heather and Rob had never done a Day After session but were excited to take on the task and I must say, I enjoyed our Day After session so much more because it was just me and him and time of reflection and basking in the love we have for one another. Heather and Rob captured every bit of those feelings the next day and made the transition of photos flow as if they had all been taken the same day!! They gave us a sneak peek the night of the wedding which again was IMPRESSIVE. We woke up to an email with over 100 pictures from our special day and they were breathtaking!!! They delivered the rest of the images via mail 2 months after our wedding (I was shocked)!! I couldn’t believe they were able to perfect 800-1000 images so quickly!!! Heather and Rob’s chemistry is AMAZING and UNPARALLELED . They will stop traffic, contort their bodies in all different positions and move clouds and mountains to get “that” shot!! My husband and I are extremely pleased with our pictures and the day was made even better with Heather and Rob a part of our wedding team. Heather and Rob have become family and we will plan to have them apart of our summer housewarming gathering! If you are still contemplating on hiring Clean Slate, STOP, you have found your wedding photographer team. HIRE THEM!!! -

I met Heather and Rob at a local bridal show and immediately knew I had met the people I wanted to capture the excitement and once in a lifetime moments of my upcoming wedding. Unlike other photographers I met that day I felt no pressure and instead immediately felt as if I was talking to family or at least life long friends. Their dedication to the art was apparent in the sample photos and their fun-loving personalities are sure to put everyone at ease on a very exciting, but at times stressful day.
We are a Disney loving couple who will be traveling to Florida for our January nuptials. Heather and Rob agreed to travel with us and even allowed us to put a little touch of Disney in our engagement photos. All of our family loves them and look forward to seeing the beautiful images they capture in Florida but again at our local reception later in the year. -

I met Heather and Rob at a wedding vendor show... I hate those things! But... in my search for the perfect photographer, boom there they were! We have said from the beginning of the planning process that if we did not feel great about any decisions that we were not moving forward with that vendor. This was to avoid my headache lol ... with this awesome couple, everything that was on my “list” was checked and then some. Super friendly, just real people. I like that because I’m a weirdo in pictures and they made us feel super comfortable. Their price was in line and what you get is 100% worth it. In my mind, I’m spending one of the most important days of my life to date with these people, I would have not chosen better people to be with. Fun, professional and it’s what they do! They live their work and it shows. I cannot day enough great things! -

We cannot say enough about how AMAZING Heather and Rob were. Not only did we love them, but our guests were raving about how awesome they are. Our wedding ended at 10 pm and by 1 am there were 130 sneak peek photos posted online. The photos are absolutely breathtaking and they captured everything and more than we could have ever imagined. We are so happy we decided to hire them. They felt like friends by the end of the planning process and wedding! -

We are so happy to have found Rob and Heather! They're work is absolutely amazing and they are super professional. We were a little nervous to tell people about the Star Wars theme in the beginning but I honestly believe they were more excited for our wedding then we were. They were always super responsive and professional and just all around wonderful people. We keep getting comments about how quickly they put up a sneak peak and how amazing the photos were. It's almost unheard of to get a sneak peak only a few hours after the wedding but they somehow make it happen. I cannot recommend these two enough or say enough great things about them! -

They blew us away during our engagement shoot with candid photos that not only reflected our personalities and goofiness, but also captured moments of our love for each other. The wedding photos were fabulous as well! Heather and Rob were incredibly flexible when we added shots to the formals list last minute. And they captured beautiful photos of our first dance in motion as well as our parent dances. They caught all the happiness and joy on our guests' faces and ours throughout the entire evening. And after working with them and seeing their photos I knew we had to have them for our wedding. They make the process so much fun and comfortable. My husband and I never felt awkward taking photos, it felt so natural. Their vision is so amazing! All of our engagement photos and wedding photos look gorgeous! Carly Sent on 09/06/2017Rob and Heather are amazing! Clean Slate photographed our close friends' wedding back in December 2014. When Nick and I got engaged, they were our first phone call, as I fell in love with not only my friends' wedding pictures but their entire portfolio! Our engagement pictures were perfect, with a beautiful sunset over the Chesapeake Bay. They even embraced our wild fur babies who joined us on the shoot! Now for the wedding day... it torrential down poured all day! With the nasty weather, Rob and Heather came prepared and ready to go with their umbrellas and rain boots, ready for any curve balls the day threw at them (including a videographer, who was not always in the best positions). We are absolutely over the moon with how beautiful our wedding pictures turned out and have gotten amazing compliments from friends and family! The day couldn't have gone more perfectly! Thank you Heather and Rob for your kindness, professionalism and perfect wedding photos. We will truly cherish them forever!!!!
