Excellent easy to work with Guitar for our wedding

Miles was fantastic to work with through 3 covid postponements, super responsive and played a great set at our cocktail hour. We were just sad we didn't get to hear more of him but our guests loved it.

Music ties everything together

We are so happy we found Miles! We had a small wedding, under 30 people. We wanted the ceremony and dinner music to match the intimacy of our wedding. It was perfect! He even learned how to play “our song” for me to walk down the aisle and use for our first dance.
Miles is always very responsive, which I truly appreciated planning a wedding from out of state. He really knows what he is doing and how to make your day run smooth.

Ceremony and cocktail hour guitarist

Miles did a fantastic job playing music during our ceremony and cocktail hour. For us, he played a variety of genres including some classical, Spanish, and even contemporary songs. Our guests kept coming up to us saying how amazing he was. I would highly recommend Miles for your wedding!

Beautiful guitar playing!

Miles played at my wedding last month and was amazing! He was always professional and answered my emails right away. His playing was beautiful and preformed a wide range of songs. I recommend Miles to play acoustic guitar at your event/wedding for a special touch your guests will always remember. Something so special about walking down the aisle to live music. SO many compliments on Miles' music!

Miles played solo guitar for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in December 2018. It was important to me to hire reliable, experienced wedding vendors - he check both boxes! Miles was easy to work with. We communicated mostly over email and had one short planning call before the wedding. On top of that - a number of guests came up to tell me how talented he was!! Miles' music honestly created the perfect ambiance. He played a mix of contemporary and jazz/flamenco styles during cocktail hour. HIGHLY recommend working with Miles!

Wonderful Guitarist!

We used Miles to entertain at our large holiday party, and he was truly amazing! He is supremely talented and very professional. He made it very easy to coordinate with him, he arrived early, and he played beautifully. Even though we hired him to provide background music, he was so good that our guests actually paid attention to him! I would definitely hire him again!

Truly talented and very experienced.

Miles was the guitarist for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. He was absolutely amazing! I can tell you not only is he an incredibly talented musician, he is very experienced and extremely helpful. He was so patient with us as we had a few conversations on our style of ceremony and what might work best for us. My ceremony was a dream come true, I can still hear the sound of his guitar as my dad and I walked up to my now husband. For the cocktail hour music, we wanted something fun and lively and he definitely delivered just that. We received a couple of videos from guests dancing to his guitar and my dad (a bit of a music snob) came and told me how much he really liked Miles. He commented on how Miles was clearly a professional who could read the room and everyone was enjoying themselves. I would absolutely recommend him to my friends. Thank you so much Miles for making our day!

We hired Miles for our wedding and could not be happier. He sent us a demo CD to introduce us to the wide variety of music he can play and we were blown away by his talent! We knew instantly that he would be the perfect musician for our wedding. Our wedding was latin themed, so we wanted to find a guitarist who could play a range of latin songs, spanish classics, etc. and he exceeded our expectations! He played beautifully during our ceremony and cocktail hour and our guests loved his music. In addition to the latin songs, he also played some jazz and various other popular songs. He arrived on time, was professional, and played absolutely flawlessly. We highly recommend Miles for your wedding or other special event. Miles is INCREDIBLE! He played at our wedding during the cocktail hour and dinner. He was approachable, talented, and engaging. Miles played at my wedding this past weekend at The Prado. What a treat! He played for my ceremony, cocktail reception, and reception. Many of my guests commented on how talented he is and how the music (both style and volume) were just perfect for our small event (28 people total). Miles is a true professional. Keeping in contact in a very timely manner, very generous with music options and timing flexibility, and also giving great tips about the flow of my event, since I did not have a wedding coordinator. Miles' music added elegance to my event and even though he blended right in with everything (which is a good thing), he helped make my event memorable and unique. Such a pleasure and I hope I have a chance to work with him again.

Miles is extremely talented and is very sensitive and helpful in selecting the exact arrangements to make your wedding classy, fun, and personalized. Miles performed for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at The Catamaran on October 7, 2017. I thought he did a fantastic job, from start to finish. One of the things that initially got me interested in Miles is he mailed me a demo CD so I could hear his style of music. He was very responsive and prompt with emails. He is also very affordable. Miles was certainly one of our stand-out vendors on our Big Day. We hired him to perform the pre-ceremony, ceremony and cocktail hour music. He arrived promptly, dressed sharply and absolutely killed his sets. He played all the tunes we requested and threw in some surprises such as the Game of Thrones theme song, which thrilled the crowd. I also liked that we had zero issues with him and that he's pretty affordable for the services he's providing. A+ all around.

In planning our wedding, there were so many decisions to make. Picking Miles to provide the music was one of the easy ones. He was timely and professional in all his correspondence, he made it easy to choose the musical themes for before and after the ceremony and the specific pieces for the ceremony, he called the week before to verify all the details, he showed up so early that he was there and settled before even the wedding party, and everyone at our event (some of them long time guitarists themselves) loved his music. We hired Miles to provide entertainment for our 40th anniversary celebration. Though we had never met him, we had been referred to his website. He followed up with our inquiry by providing a cd with samples of his artistry that sealed the deal. He was very professional in arriving early, setting up, accommodating flexibility with our schedule of events. Miles was just perfect! We were really looking for something that was "traditional with a twist" and Miles certainly delivered. His renditions of our favorite classical songs were just beautiful. It brought a more traditional feel to our wedding but fit the venue (St. Francis Chapel in Balboa Park) and fit our style more than a violinist. Miles was very helpful in guiding us through song selection and even sends his clients a CD with a large sample of his music. We would highly recommend him!

Miles was WONDERFUL! We hired him for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in November and he was such a PRO. Prior to the wedding he was so easy to work with. He even offered to learn a song from our favorite musical (Hamilton, "Dear Theodosia") for when we walked down the aisle. It meant so much to us and he executed it perfectly!!!! We booked Miles Moynier for the ceremony and the cocktail hour, but I wish we had booked the entire reception! Our guests LOVED the music and we didn't want it to end. My advice is to book the whole event!

If you are looking for a talented guitarist for a social event, then I would like to very highly recommend Miles. He performed prelude music and ceremony music at my wedding, and the music was fantastic! Miles was easy to get in touch with, he is responsive to emails, and he sent us a demo CD to let us hear what his performance sounds like and also to provide examples of ceremony music. We requested "signed sealed delivered" which was not on his song list, and he went ahead and learned it and was able to play it for our recessional. Miles is an absolute professional, and went above and beyond.

We had a wonderful experience with Miles and would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a guitar player. My husband plays classical guitar and he was delighted with the music quality, many of the guests also commented on how fantastic the music was. Miles is extremely versatile, his music list ranges from classical and traditional Spanish guitar music to upbeat Nuevo Flamenco which was perfect for the reception.
I also really appreciated the level of attention and service Miles provided. He sent me a cd and talked with me about what music I would like pre-ceremony, during the procession and then after, during the reception. We really appreciated the extra beauty Miles added to our special day!

I hired Miles to for the ceremony and cocktail hour portions of my wedding day. I went with a guitarist over other alternatives because I felt it fit in well with my outdoor winery/vineyard wedding. Musically, Miles delivered exactly what I was looking for in terms of song selection and theme. Miles was even willing to learn the song that my heart was set on for my bridal march, as it was not yet part of his repertoire. Miles arrived well before the start of the ceremony to begin playing as guests arrived, and during the ceremony he read his queues well on when to stop one song and start another. Unfortunately, as the bride, I really only had the chance to hear Miles playing during the ceremony, but I have been hearing rave reviews from my guests about how great the music was during the cocktail hour, with one guest even asking me for his contact information. I distinctly remember while I was off taking photos, hearing the lively Spanish style guitar from off in the distance, and wishing I could have been at the cocktail hour to enjoy it fully. I would highly recommend Miles Moynier to anyone looking for a talented guitarist to perform at their event or party.

Miles is amazing. I am so glad that we found him and that he was available for our wedding. Miles was very responsive, professional, friendly, and easy to work with from the moment we reached out - which was on somewhat short notice. He is an amazing and talented guitarist and all our guests agreed! We received a demo CD to listen to and spoke with him over the phone so that he could play samples for us since we were planning from afar. After our conversation, all my worries about noise and the flow of things disappeared as he walked us through how things would work at our beach location and played a sample of the songs. I so appreciated his communication leading up to our day. It was comforting to know he had experience playing at our beach location and had all the right equipment. We are so thankful we found Miles! In all the hustle and bustle I never got a chance to thank Miles in person, but I remember hearing the music and thinking how beautiful and calming it sounded - he definitely helped to make our day complete. Miles was so great to work with. He was very flexible with his time and great with communication. He responded quickly to emails and calls. He was able to work with our requests quite easily. He learned all of the music we requested. And best of all, he plays beautifully. He really set the ambiance for the ceremony and the reception (we used him for the dinner, not dancing). Miles was FABULOUS!! From beginning to end he was there for us. His music is just beautiful, our guests loved it, and my husband and I loved it as well. He was there for every call, every email, and showed up with a fantastic performance at our wedding. He is so easy to work with and is a fabulous musician. His vibe is very laid back and a wonderful person to talk to and work with. I cant say enough good things about him! If you are looking for a guitarist for your wedding, HE is your guy! I found Miles through my wedding planner. My fiancé and I knew that we wanted live music at the wedding and our top choice was classical guitar. From the beginning working with Miles was great. He sent a demo CD for me to listen to and select music from. I choose to walk down the aisle to something non-traditional (Sting - Fields of Gold), and Miles was able to play it no problem! He was also great with my soloist and working with her directly to get the sheet music to her song. It definitely put one less thing on my list to have him be proactive and take care of that! Miles continued to play at my cocktail reception and sadly due to pictures I couldn't hear him play, but heard rave reviews from my guests! I would recommended Miles to anyone that is looking for live music for their ceremony and cocktail hour!

Miles did an awesome job at our wedding at the LaFayette this past weekend. Everyone really loved the music and I had multiple people come up and ask for his information so they could book him in the future. Miles played our ceremony as well as our cocktail hour. We loved having classical guitar as our ceremony music and for cocktail hour. It was an affordable addition that made for a classy element to our wedding.

From the beginning, Miles was responsive to all communications and helpful in selecting music with us. He made suggestions and played samples over the phone to help us decide. Miles was well aware of the setup that was needed, so the day of was stress free. We received compliments from our guests on the ceremony and cocktail hour music.

We enjoyed having this kind of live music instead of a DJ and thought it really made a difference. Miles was great to work with and would recommend him for your wedding.

Miles was critical in making my wedding dream a reality. Miles' music added the perfect classic romantic touch I had hoped for during my wedding ceremony. Miles was professional and timely in his responses as well as accommodating. I owe Miles a huge thank you, as he agreed and successfully learned to play a new song (Sleeping Beauty's "Once Upon a Dream") for me to walk down the aisle to. During our scheduled phone consultation, he played the line up of my ceremony songs, which brought me to tears over the phone, and was a wonderful preview of the ceremony music flow. His demo CD sent upon request is a perfect way to get a feel of his musical talents. Miles is affordable and pleasant to work with, and I most certainly recommend you add him to your wedding vendor team.

Miles was absolutely fantastic!!! We had him for our ceremony and for our cocktail hour and he was amazing. So many people from our wedding asked about him! From the moment I contacted Miles he was prompt and incredibly flexible with meetings to discuss what we had envisioned for our wedding. He played samples on the phone for us as well as sent up recordings for us to listen to so that on our wedding day everything was absolutely perfect. His acoustic guitar and renditions of our favorite songs were so incredibly romantic! It was exactly as I envisioned for my dream wedding!

Miles is an amazing guitarist and a true professional. I first met him at my sister's wedding, 8 years ago, and have had the pleasure of hearing him play at a few of our friends weddings as well. For our wedding, he played all of the music for our ceremony and even learned a new song for my walk down the aisle. He also played our cocktail hour, giving our guests some great Spanish/Flamenco music to enjoy. Miles is one of those priceless people that you can hire and then not worry about at all. He's been doing this for so many years that he's probably played all over San Diego and knows every venue. He shows up and is completely self sufficient. His price is super reasonable too. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants live music at their event. I can't say enough good things about him! Thank you Miles!

Miles was wonderful to work with and provided several suggestions on what pieces worked the best at different points of the ceremony. In addition, he arranged a meeting over the phone so we could hear how they would sound. During cocktail hour several of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the live acoustic guitar performance.

Miles provided the classical/contemporary guitar music for my daughter's wedding (prior to ceremony, during ceremony and during the cocktail hour prior to dinner). Miles is an amazingly gifted musician with an impressive repertoire of music from which to choose. I had many guests at the wedding go out of their way to tell me how much they enjoyed his playing and how much it added to the ceremony. He was extremely easy to work with, exceeding flexible with all our requests (some very last minute), incredibly responsive to our inquiries and worked so well with the others involved (e.g. DJ). I would most certainly use Miles again for any event I had, from wedding to corporate event.

My wife and I are busy professionals who only make time to review business that are truly outstanding. Even with this high threshold, very few warrant a perfect score. Miles is phenomenal, from his responsiveness and professionalism to the flawless performance he provided. Our venue refused to permit amplification, so Miles took it upon himself to find an accompanist. Miles talked us through the selections, playing samples on the phone of any music that wasn't on his complimentary demo cd. The day was magical and his music was the enchanting score that flowed throughout.

Miles was an easy vendor for us to choose when we were looking for a ceremony musician. I knew that I wasn't exactly into a pianist or a harpist, so when I listened to Miles' samples online, I knew he would be perfect. I shared his sample CD with my parents and we all fell in love with his music. My dad says he is even considering picking back up his guitar after many years, thanks to listening to Miles' music!

We decided on some non-traditional songs for our ceremony. The Princess Bride is one of my dad's and my favorite movies, so when we heard it on his sample CD I knew it was the right song to have my dad walk me down the aisle to. Everything was played beautifully and made my parents, my husband, and I all very sentimental and emotional during the ceremony. I did not get to attend the cocktail hour but what I could hear of his music in the distance sounded wonderful too! I highly recommend hiring Miles for your ceremony and other wedding music if you are looking for something a little different than the traditional types of wedding music.

Miles gave great performance on our cliff wedding! We were running late because one of the antique cars failed to show up in time to pick me up...I was really upset, but as soon as I heard the music I felt so much more relaxed and ready to walk down the aisle. Miles was very professional and patient and played great despite the ceremony time ran inevitably longer than expected.

Our ceremony song was "yellow" and Miles hasn't played it before. But he's very good about it and played it several times for us either over phone or in email attachment. He also gave good recommendations as to song choices.

I am very glad I went with Miles as my guitarist. He certainly has made that day on the cliff more special:)

Miles Moynier is outstanding! Miles performed at my wedding reception at the Prado and I could not be happier with his musical talent, professionalism and friendly demeanor. All of my guests were extremely impressed with Miles and thought his musical ability and versatility were incredible. One guest even said "when I walked into your reception, I thought Santana was playing."

Miles has always been very responsive, and pleasant to talk to, on the phone or in person. He is very talented and did great at our wedding (of 120 guests). He brought all his own equipment to the venue and arrived much earlier to make sure everything works fine. He did a terrific job, he truly sounded awesome. He is very willing to work with our needs, and had definitely helped made our big day a memorable one. A lot of our friends asked for his contacts for future events. He is awesome and we plan to work with him for future company/personal events.

It was an absolutely pitch-perfect day and I wanted to thank Miles for being such an important part of it. The music, as I knew it would be, was incredibly special. Miles played background music for an outdoor cocktail and dinner party for 60 people. Average age was around 74. The setting was a historic Mexican hacienda. We could not have been more pleased with his music. He skillfully played a variety of background pieces that fit the mood and setting perfectly. My husband and I were planning on eloping and decided a month out that we wanted to invite our closest friends and family in a small intimate wedding ceremony. I was referred to Miles by another musician and he was terrific! Within a day of inquiring about his services, I received a CD of his wedding compilations as samples to review to get an idea of the music he plays and recommends for ceremonies. After speaking with him on the phone and him playing the wedding selections over the speaker phone, I knew that we were in good hands. I live in Redding, CA and started planning my San Diego August 1st wedding in June. I knew I wanted music but I was not sure what I wanted. I Googled and found several options including Miles. He was the first to respond and sent me a sample CD. After a few emails, I had made my choice to go with Miles.

Miles handled the details of my wedding flawlessly. We corresponded a couple of times via email and a follow-up phone call. No hassle or confusion.

Miles arrived on time, set up and was ready to play on time. He was the PERFECT complement to our wedding. He played exactly what we requested and enhanced the experience with a few appropriate surprises.

I felt that Miles knew exactly what was expected of him and far exceeded my and our guests expectations. My friends and family were all so impressed. Our photographer approached me after the ceremony and wanted to know "where we found this guy - he's GREAT!" they were interested in working with him again in the future.

I am a professional classical musician, and I hired Miles to provide the music for my wedding at the Museum of Art in Balboa Park. He performed before the ceremony, during the ceremony, and at the cocktail hour. Hiring Miles was one of the best decisions we made in planning for our wedding. From our very first conversations, Miles was a total professional. I was so impressed with his experience in performing at weddings, his familiarity with our venue, and his overall willingness to make our event as perfect and flawless as it could be. Well, we got just that. First of all, he answers all emails and phone calls promptly, and sends out demo cds quickly and is completely available to you either over the phone or by email. He had great recommendations, and was a total pro when it came to the day of as well. Folks, this guy knows what he's doing! If you're looking for something unique (classical guitar is great for a wedding, btw) then you shouldn't look any further. I highly recommend Miles Moynier for beautiful classical guitar and highly professional service. Miles played classical guitar at my sister's wedding at Darlington House in La Jolla in August 2009 and at my wedding at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa in March 2013. Both times, he played before the ceremony, during the ceremony, and during cocktail hour. Both times, he played lovely music and set a wonderful tone for the celebration. My sister and I appreciated that Miles is very professional and personable and delivers exactly what he promises.

Miles was extremely helpful during the planning process. He took the time to speak with my husband and me on the phone about music selection, and he played several songs for us over the phone. He adapted some of our favorite songs to play during our ceremony, which meant a lot to us. Miles also had great advice about acoustics and where to set up. He always responded to my questions quickly and with thoughtful answers.

Miles is very experienced and knew our venue well. We did not have to worry about a thing with Miles, and I highly recommend him for his talent and terrific service.

Miles provided the perfect accompaniment to our ceremony and reception. We received numerous comments from our guests regarding how much they enjoyed his music. There was a seamless transition between the ceremony and the reception, and we really enjoyed the wide range of musical styles that Miles played so masterfully. I've been to so many weddings where people have paid so much more for multiple forms of entertainment and larger groups of performers, and I couldn't be more pleased with how Miles transitioned from the classical music of our ceremony into such an enjoyable variety for our reception.

Miles was another easy vendor to book. I contacted him and we spoke over the phone for our initial meeting. He played his stuff over the phone for me and then sent him off a check. He sent us a CD with the song selections that he could do and we just chose. About two weeks before the wedding we went over our final song selections. I had also been going back and forth about getting a mic for the ceremony and so about a week before the wedding I contacted Miles to see how much he would charge if we could use his mic for the ceremony and it was way cheaper than if we rented it from a audio company or even through our DJ. He played beautifully at our wedding and the mic worked perfectly at the ceremony.

Miles responded promptly to my emails and sent me a demo CD which is helpful since we are planning from long distance. He was very pleasant on the phone and will throw in a free CD of his if you pay him in cash. He did a great job.

Miles played both our wedding ceremony music and reception dinner music for our wedding/reception at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. He is a truly wonderful musician who provides great service in addition to fabulous music!

Awesome! Worth the money. Too bad I didn't get a chance to meet him after a year of talking and emailing on and off, oh well. He did a great job - so glad I didn't go with my DJ.

Miles Moynier was a great guitarist for pre-ceremony, ceremony, and cocktail hour. He was on time, professional, and very entertaining. Miles sent us a CD to review, and worked with us to pick songs we liked. One of the things I really appreciated was that Miles learned “The Lava Song” for us. I wish I could have heard him play more, because he was so good.

Excellent musician for any occasion

Think beyond weddings. We used Miles a couple years ago to celebrate a 40yr anniversary and renewal of vows. We and our guests were so pleased, that we were happy to have the opportunity to hire him again for a non-profit charity event. Again, everyone said how the music really set the mood and enhanced the environment. Very professional, self sufficient with equipment needs, and works well wi5h different people and locations. You won’t be sorry or have any worry in hiring him.
