Exceeded Our Expectations!!
Leslie made us feel welcome from the moment we walked into her kitchen. We had selected cake flavors and fillings to try and she also added a few extras. Leslie was extremely helpful suggesting different cake shapes and designs. Most important she was always prompt in answering any questions we had. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the cake was decorated and how delicious the cake was. It was wonderful having someone who took a personal interest in her client. We would highly recommend her to any couple looking for someone who aims to please.

Best cake ever
We ordered almond with almond icing . Leslie did a great job of putting in plenty of flavor without making it too strong. The cake was unbelievably moist yet very dense ( therefore filling ). So many cakes are airy and light like there’s nothing to them .
There was also a GENEROUS amount of frosting , even between layers . That was such a nice change compared to some places where there’s hardly any frosting . And it was rich , dense buttercream.
We got many comments on the cake, including it was the best cake they’d had . We also felt that way , and I ( the mom 😄) am very picky !
One person said it was nice to finally get to taste a traditional cake again ( not funny flavors , etc ). There’s something about almond that people really like - traditional white with added flavor .
We highly recommend Leslie’s cakes😄

Absolutely Amazing!
We absolutely loved our experience from start to finish with Leslie. She was so accommodating and she had such unique flavors to chose from. We ultimately decided to get the white chocolate matcha cake with the raspberry filling. (it was a HUGE hit). Leslie delivered the cake ready to go the morning of our wedding and it was exactly the way we envisioned it. We also loved that she made individual cupcakes of each flavor we wanted to try...and when my husband suddenly could not make it to the tasting she sent me home with full sized cupcakes for him with ramekins of each filling flavor. We were planning to save the top piece to eat on our 1 year anniversary, but we went to have just a bite at the hotel since we didn't really get any during the reception and ended up eating about 1/4 our it in the hotel at midnight....we absolutely plan to have her make a small cake the same flavor to have on our anniversary in September. Great and fair price, excellent service, very personable, and helped turn our overall vision into a reality.

From the day we hired Leslie to the final product, she was a God sent! Not only was it the best cake (we had 3 different flavors, but got to pick from so many options), but it was something ALL our guests commented on as we talked with them! I wish she had a whole cake shop because it was truly the best cake I have ever tasted. She was so professional and while other vendors were a quite chaotic, she did exactly what she promised to me. I cannot say enough good things about Leslie and our experience with her! I was very price conscious (wedding budget and I am a financial advisor), but she was worth every penny! She only does 1 cake per month too, so you know she will be focused on you and making your experience perfect! Our wedding was also in south Franklin/College Grove area, and she never once questioned the distance. So, if you are looking for someone to do your wedding cake (one guests will remember and completely enjoy), I would book her as soon as you can! Truly the best vendor I worked with throughout our planning process!

If you are looking for the best baker that will listen to your wants and perform - look no further! Classic Cakes by Leslie had the best service for my husband and I all the way from the first phone call, the wedding cake tasting, and then giving us the most beautiful cake that matched our wedding decor. We requested no fondant and multiple flavors and Leslie gave us exactly that with no issues at all. Also, the taste of the cake is to die for!! I had multiple people after the wedding message me raving about how good the cake was. Our flavors were the Italian cream cake, chocolate, and classic amaretto wedding cake. I had such a pleasant, seamless experience with Classic Cakes and know that you will to. We will definitely be using them again for any of our baking needs in the future!

Phenomenal Cake Experience!!!
Leslie was an amazing vendor to work with for our wedding! First, we absolutely loved our cake tasting in her beautiful home - we had so much fun! When we had to reschedule our May 2020 weddin due to COVID, Leslie didn't even blink an eye and made sure to accommodate whatever we needed. It was such a relief to work with a vendor who was understanding and kind as we navigated the wild situation at hand! When we did finally get to have our ceremony in November, our cake was DELICIOUS and exactly as we had pictured it. Everyone raved about how good it tasted!! I would highly recommend the "butter cake" flavor, which is to DIE FOR!

Magnificent Elegance with a Timeless Look
My family has been working with Leslie Pippin since I was a child. Her designs and flavors have always been consistent, so I knew my wedding cake would be something very special. However, what she created went BEYOND my imagination. She took my description and truly brought it to life.
The six tier, multi flavored cake fashioned abstract floral designs which mimicked our all white cherry blossom themed wedding. Perfectly placed between each tier were fresh white flowers that complimented the reception arrangements. It was an absolute show stopper! Even more satisfying were the silky smooth flavors inside! My husband and I barely had enough left to save for our first anniversary.
Leslie made my experience SO enjoyable and comfortable. It was a pleasure to work with her again!

Fantastic in Every Way
Organizing even a small wedding, quickly and from out of town has it's challenges. Leslie Pippin was recommended by our photographer and we couldn't have picked a better vendor. My daughter loved the selection of flavors. She gave Leslie some of her visions for the cake and Leslie created a beautiful and delicious cake. We had a few curveballs thrown at us the week before the wedding with limits placed on gatherings. Leslie was so supportive and told us that even if the wedding is postponed, she will make sure she has a cake for us on the new day. We ended up with a smaller group but kept the larger cake - there were no leftovers. It was that good. I highly recommend Classic Cakes by Leslie, check out her instagram photos.

Delicious, Elegant, and Beautiful Wedding Cake!
Leslie was very responsive to myself and my daughter and future son-in-law from the cake tasting, to flexibility in the cake design, and helping us to prepare the top layer for freezing. She delivered on time, and even clipped some greenery from the venue (which we had paid for) when she figured out that the florist had not provided enough greenery for the cake. I never worried about her providing a great cake with an on-time delivery. Speaking of her cake, it was so good, it completely vanished! I had to arm wrestle one of the venue managers to go back and find me a piece of cake, so that I could taste it. It was amaretto, and it was delicious!!! Thank you, Leslie, for being so dependable and providing a classic, beautiful cake for our daughter's wedding on October 13th! I would definitely recommend her to other brides or for any special event which you may have.

Leslie was a dream to work with! From our tasting to the final product, she was professional, responsive, and patient. Not only did our wedding cake look fantastic, but it tasted amazing as well! So rare for a wedding cake! Would definitely recommend her cakes to anyone getting married or for any special occasion. We can't wait for our anniversary now to eat more of her cake!

What a great job! Leslie exceeded our expectations, her willingness to meet with us and transport our cake to our venue was so helpful. Leslie was very responsive with communication and always ran everything by me if she had any concerns or changes to be made. She wanted to make sure the cake was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Everyone enjoyed the cake and it was a focal point of our venue. I would recommend her to anyone getting married or having a large event.

Leslie was absolutely amazing to work with. When meeting with her the first time for our cake tasting she was so personable, helpful, and overall just such a delight. All of her fillings/cakes were AMAZING and it was so hard to choose which flavor we loved the best. We ended up picking strawberry and the butter and we had so many compliments about our grooms cake and the wedding cake at our wedding. We were worried we had too much cake and all pieces were gone except for 3 slices for 150 people. She fits her title "classic Cakes" as Leslie is a super classy lady, and literally created exactly what we wanted. She even was sweet enough to refund us when our grooms cake was not the original size she was wanting which... most people would have never done that. She is wonderful and I would definitely refer her to anyone who is wanting pure perfection of a cake on their big day.

We were so blessed to get to work with Leslie for our wedding cakes! She is so easy and fun to work with, and she can do anything on a cake and make it look perfect. We met with a couple of bakeries that are big in wedding cakes, but we weren't pleased with any of them due to the high prices for cakes that weren't great quality. However, Leslie's cake flavors and quality blew us away! Not to mention you can't beat the price for how great her cakes taste. We were interested in a blue velvet groom's cake, which she had never made before, but she tested out blue velvet cake for us. This blue velvet was one of our absolute favorite flavors! Leslie was also one of the friendliest people we met with while planning our wedding. I would definitely recommend her to everyone! Our cakes absolutely exceeded our expectations!

Leslie of Classic Cakes was wonderful to work with! She did the wedding cake and the groom's cake for our son's wedding last May. I was mother of the groom, so Leslie and I worked together on the groom's cake. I live in Colorado, and it was important that Leslie was available to meet with me when I was visiting Nashville, so we could plan the cake together. She was very good with email communication, and very prompt in responding. There were so many flavors, frostings and fillings to choose from! We came up with a football design (Denver Broncos mixed with Tennessee Vols) and it came out beautifully. The cake was delicious, the price was very fair, and it was all-around a very easy and hassle-free part of planning our wedding. I would highly recommend Leslie and Classic Cakes to anyone considering wedding cakes in the Nashville area! Thank you, Leslie!

Leslie is very qualified and experienced. She makes the most wonderful cakes that taste absolutely amazing. When my husband and I met with Leslie to figure out what kind of cake we wanted for our wedding, she had many samples and pictures for us to look at. We came in with our own ideas and she made us feel very confident and worry-free about what the final product would look like. When the day finally came and I saw the cake, it was even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and it tasted even better. She brought the cake to our reception venue, set it up and made sure nothing went wrong! I highly recommend her services. You will not be disappointed!

Leslie made the cake for my daughters wedding at The Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Her cakes are not only beautiful, but also delicious! She was so easy to work with and was extra sweet to incorporate a few gluten free layers with her delicious filings. We received many comments at the reception and days afterwards on how good the cake was.

I would just advise anyone who's deciding on a vendor to first know what they want, have images/examples of what you want to share when the vendor, and be sure to discuss your wishes for any needed clarity. Classic Cakes reviewed our requests and were able to deliver beyond our expectations. Specifically our groom's cake was quite different and required more art. My husband and I travel/camp quite often and we now own an Airstream and wanted the groom's cake to represent that. The vendor reviewed the images and stated they could deliver.....they nailed it!!! We also had to change the delivery time for our groom's cake a few times due to various issues; they were very flexible and extremely responsive and had no issues working within our timeline.
During our initial cake meeting/tasting (which my now husband found to be the most exciting part of our wedding planning), they provided plenty of options that in my personal opinion would be pleasing to most if not all.
Not only did our two cakes (wedding and groom's) look amazing...they tasted amazing! We actually received comments from friends/family after the wedding "your cake was fabulous!".

Leslie Pippin at Classic Cakes was a pleasure to work with. We sat down at her kitchen table for an hour or more (no charge) and sampled several cake morsels, frostings, and fillings. They were all so delicious, it was hard to choose! There was one flavor she did not have available that day, so she sent a freshly made cupcake to us the next week! When we left her house, we knew that she was to be our baker. She made us feel that she was excited to bake our cake.
The cake was magnificent! Not only was it amazingly beautiful; but it was so moist and delicious! We had chosen strawberry cake with chocolate genache filling. The strawberry flavor was delightful. It was a uniform pink color and strawberry flavor with bits of red and bursts of extra flavor. The filling was a deep, dark, decadent chocolate flavor. The cake was frosted with butter cream icing and a thin layer of white chocolate flavored fondant. I am not a fan of regular fondant but her was very good. The week before the wedding, I lessened the slice count to match our R.S.V.P.s. As soon as I tasted the cake, I regretted that decision. THIS was a cake that I would have liked to have leftovers to take home!

My husband and I normally are not cake fans but have been snacking on leftover cake since the wedding! This wedding cake is not the normal, it is delicious and has it's own flavor! There are multiple flavors to choose from and Classic Cakes works with exactly what you want. We wanted different flavors for each layer and she accommodated us perfectly. Not to mention the cake was beautiful!! I highly recommend her!

Leslie is very sweet. She is professional and very accommodating to all my requests. I met with her and looked at the photo albums of the all the cakes she has made and sampled some of the flavors. We went with red velvet, lime, strawberry and almond, Y.U.M Shes very talented. I fell in love with a cake I saw on Pinterest. I sent her a picture of it and on my wedding day I was blown away. The cake was an absolute masterpiece and it was delicious. I must say the strawberry and the lime were the best. I have had friends ask about my cake and recommended her and will again in the future.

Leslie's cake was excellent and beautiful. This cake was for my son's wedding and everyone there said that it not only looked great but tasted excellent. My mother-in-law was a caterer and she made our wedding cake and those guests in attendance who were at our wedding said it tasted just like hers. I would definitely use her again when needed.

Leslie walked us through the entire process of customizing our perfect cake. She has an extensive portfolio of wedding cakes and styles to choose from. She can also create anything that you can envision or have a photograph of. Leslie not only makes gorgeous cakes, but they are delicious, too. Leslie did a fabulous job on our wedding cake. I was the bride who just couldn't decide what I wanted. I had looked through all of Leslie's pictures and just couldn't find what I wanted. They were all fabulous and we had tasted, and knew we wanted Leslie, we just didn't know what we wanted her to do. I finally figured it out about 2 months before the wedding, and Leslie went above and beyond. I wore my mom's veil which had a pearl design sewn to the headpiece, and a belt my mom had made to match the veil. I thought the design would look really neat on the cake, and Leslie made it happen. The cake was gorgeous, and it tasted fantastic! I would definitely recommend Leslie for anyone in the Nashville area!

My husband and I were so impressed by Leslie. Her cakes are not only beautiful but also delicious!
Our wedding cake had alternating layers of butter and red velvet flavors. It was covered with a rolled butter cream frosting, a delicate Swiss dot pattern, and a purple ribbon was wrapped around each layer. Our groom's cake was chocolate butter fudge with an Indianapolis Colts edible image.
Leslie was on top of everything. I never had to repeat myself and she went out of her way to confirm every detail before the big day. I can absolutely say that we trusted her to execute our plans correctly.
If you want the wedding cake of your dreams with the best flavor and consistency, choose Classic Cakes. Working with Leslie was a wonderful experience for us.

After seeing the beautiful bride's cake and groom's cakes that Leslie created for my sister's weddding, I decided to use Leslie for my own wedding. Leslie is extremely professional, responsive, and easy to work with. Although I was not sure what kind of cake I wanted, Leslie thoughtfully guided me through the process, noting my likes and dislikes, and offering valuable input when requested. I met with Leslie for a taste testing and making a decision was difficult because everything tasted so good. After I decided what cake and icing I wanted, I showed Leslie a picture of a cake I liked then we personalized the cake so it matched my color scheme and even had qualities of my dress. A week before the wedding we decided we needed more cake than we originally discussed and Leslie was more than willing to accommodate. The cake was delicious and it was still just as moist and yummy when we got back from our honeymoon. I would highly recommend Classic Cakes. You'll get your money's worth and more!

I called Classic Cakes one month before my wedding because my previous vendor fell through. We scheduled a tasting right away and wow, was I blown away. The cake was so yummy. Our beautiful, unique and delicious cakes compensated for all the wedding details and services from other vendors that challenged my wits. The cakes were fabulous, and had most guests making a point to come by after the reception asking who made our cakes! The cake was amazing, tasted great and looked gorgeous. She placed the flowers
provided for the cake in a lovely cascade that made the cake look twice the price.
Everyone loved it. The choices of cakes and fillings is extensive. The bride feels
in charge and pampered at the official cake tasting.

Leslie is great. For someone who is not creative and didn't go in to the meeting with a vision of a cake; she was extremely helpful with guiding and assisting in creating a cake that we both were proud of.

She was very helpful and worked with our schedules for all meetings and she was always professional and responded quickly to emails. Her cakes tasted amazing and all of our guests loved them. I even had several people request her contact information for their events. The only problem I had was a miscommunication about the groom's cake but he was still very happy with the result.

I loved my wedding and groom's cake. I didn't have much of an idea of what I wanted (particularly for our dog-themed groom's cake). Leslie listened to me, learned my style, and came up with cakes that were just perfect! They were beautiful and delicious and were a wonderful part of the special day!

Our wedding cake was delicious. The only issue we had was that one layer was supposed to be strawberry and one was key lime, we realized the whole cake was strawberry instead, which we were disappointed because we were excited to have both flavor options and had told people about both flavors before the wedding.
