Great Cake and Delivery

Classic Bakery made the cake for my wedding. Amazing cake, looked beautiful. They also offer a service to deliver the cake to the venue which is super helpful.

Perfect Wedding Cake

We were obsessed with our wedding cake. It was exactly what we wanted. The cake tasing experience was so fun and our wedding cake was just as delicious. The team worked with us to figure out a way to make our vision come to life and the process went very smoothly. We would recommend them for your wedding but also for any other important event.

Delicious and Beautiful

Went in two months before our wedding looking for a smaller cake with a sheet cake to serve everyone. The tasting was fun and easy to customize.

Not only was the cake beautiful, it actually tasted good. It was light and fluffy, the strawberry cream filling was flavorful, and the buttercream frosting held up well while tasting far better than fondant ever would. We will definitely use Classic Bakery again for birthdays and special occasions.

Delicious and beautiful!

We found out about classic bakery from my brothers wedding. The cake is made beautifully but also very tasty! It was a bit over our budget but it was worth it!

Super easy process and delicious wedding cake!

We started the process of ordering our wedding cake probably way too early, but despite the loooong stretch of time between having our tasting/placing the order and the actual wedding day, everything was perfect! Areen helped us figure out the finer points like how to decorate it, etc once we selected our cake type, and his suggestions were spot-on. We way over-ordered as we had a bunch of guests have to drop out at the last minute due to a bunch of COVID scares, and Classic Bakery was responsive and flexible in adjusting the number of servings to accommodate the new guest count (and refunded the difference in price!). And our cake was delicious!

The best cake you will ever try

We went to a few cake tastings and classic bakery was by far the best tasting cake. Once we had them , we knew there was no other that could compare.
After the wedding people were asking about the cake and cupcakes so I know Classic Bakery will have more clients after our wedding!

My husband and I loved the experience! The staff is super nice. We made an appointment to do a cake tasting and it was delicious. Their options are great. I definitely recommend this bakery!

Best Cake Ever!

If you want a fresh fruit and whipped wedding cake, look no further. It took us a lot of bakeries to find someone who could pull off a tiered cake like this. Classic Bakery not only pulled it off but it was delicious! They are knowledgeable about cake and are very professional in making sure everything works for the day.

Best experience ever!!!

Areen (Owner) and Jessica (Team member) were fantastic throughout the process. They did a great job bringing our vision to life for our reception cake. We got a split cake to show my and my husband's personality. One side of our cake was a classic wedding cake design and the other side had designs of different tires and treads. It was a 3 tier cake, and since my husband is into car racing that was the theme of our reception cake. The flavor was Nutella and Fresh Strawberries and it tasted fantastic. All our guests loved the cake. It was very moist, not too heavy, given the flavors, it was a very light cake.

I would HIGHLY recommend Classic Bakery for your wedding or any special occasion!! The team is super helpful and nice!!

Delicious & Beautiful

I used Classic Bakery for my bridal shower & wedding cake! Both were absolutely delicious and stunning! Cake tasting was my husband's favorite part of wedding planning. The cake samples are huge and we had leftovers for days. We have been eating wedding cake for the last week and it's still fresh and tasty! Our guests were taking pieces to go on the bus! I will use them again for every event.

Amazing cake

We ordered our wedding cake from classic bakery. The cake tasting was easy and professional. We ordered a two tier cake and It was delivered and looked great. Tasted excellent on our big day! Very easy to work with and would recommend! Two tier was plenty for 78 people. We had left overs.

Wedding Cake

Ordered my wedding cake from Classic Bakery. The cake was delicious and the delivery was on time. We decided to alternate the tiers with their lemon raspberry and red velvet. Definitely recommend!

Would recommend!

Cake tasting was a great experience, and it was so hard to choose the combination of flavors! We showed a picture of the cake we wanted, and Classic Bakery made it happen. We needed to rent a stand but forgot until a week or two before the wedding, but they were able to accommodate this rental with one that matched our theme. We provided fresh flowers the day before, and the owner used them to perfect the cake! The cake was beautiful, and flavor was nice.

Beautiful and Delicious

Our wedding cake was simply beautiful and delicious, exactly how we wanted it to be. They really did an awesome job and we are really glad to have found this bakery just in time for our wedding. I really would really like to thank everyone involved (Adrianna, Areen, Rubic, and especially Jose) in the process of trying to find the right flavor for our wedding cake. They all delivered absolutely good customer service and we were really surprised by it. I would definitely recommend this bakery to anyone looking to have a memorable wedding cake. They were so helpful and easy to communicate with making a groom's cake. They will work within your budget. I went to three different cake tastings. They by far had the best presentation. They let me borrow a rotating cake stand with a fee. I had to make sure to return it back to them. The previous couple did not return rotate cake stand, which I became nervous as this was two days before my wedding. They reassure me that the rotate cake stand would be there. They were right and I was beyond happy to have them as apart of my special day. You won't go wrong to hire them for your special day.

Classic Bakery makes delicious cakes and won't hurt your budget! My family has been going to them for wedding cakes for 20+ years! We got the strawberry filling with fondant and everyone raved about it at our wedding (don't forget to order it for your tasting!). They were flexible and accommodating as they put together a beautiful floral design on the outside of the cake. Best of all you don't need to save your cake, they give a whole new one for your 1 year anniversary! Thank you Classic Bakery for the best wedding cake I could dream of!

My wedding cake from classic bakery was amazing! It had 4 Tiers on elevated cakes stands with 4 different, but related decoration themes. Not only was it beautiful, but it was delicious! Guests were raving about how good it was and Classic Bakery made 4 different flavor combinations. The cake was even better than the yummy samples. It was so moist and had a whipped cream/mousse frosting/filling. During my bakery selection, I had one place tell me that their frosting had to basically taste awful in order for the decorations to look nice - do not believe it! Classic Bakery is a family business and they have great pride in their cake and truly custom designs. Everything was ready on time and according to design. They were fantastic!

Best wedding cake I've ever tasted. We received so many compliments. We chose vanilla cake with vanilla icing to be traditional. But we also chose chocolate cake with peanut butter icing which was amazing! They also included the gold ribbon I dropped off. We purchased 15lbs of Persian cookies which were also great. Delivery was on time. They did a great job and easy to work with. We will continue going back.

The most amazing design and consultation team, not to forget to mention the cake was delicious. Also, very very affordable compared to other cake places, so glad we went with Classic Bakery a small Mom and Pop shop that truly customizes on not just the appearance of the cake and taste but sheer beauty of design. Our wedding was two weeks ago and I am still getting comments from our guests saying how much they loved the cakes! Areen is incredibly talented and really went above and beyond for us, as we had envisioned having a "deconstructed" wedding cake with each tier being separate. Areen was able to get the cake stands for us to get the visual we wanted and it was so perfect! Classic Bakery produces really amazing cakes and you will not be disappointed; they were flavorful, light and all together delicious. Thank you so much Classic Bakery!! We always go to Classic Bakery for cakes for any event - birthdays, graduations, etc. so we knew we wanted our wedding cake from them too. Their cake is top quality and they use cream icing. We went for cake tasting twice and they brought out a wide assortment of their most popular cakes for us to try. We ended up going with an eggless cake and raspberry icing to accommodate the dietary preferences of our guests. The cake was a big hit and everyone loved it. Highly recommend Classic Bakery.

My family has been going to Classic Bakery since I was a child so when the time came for me to choose my wedding cake for my special day, The choice was easy. Areen and the rest of the staff at Classic were extremely professional, kind and flexible. We were in constant communication throughout the whole process. I might be a little biased because Areen is a friend of mine and I've been eating at Classic my whole life. But in my humble opinion, there isn't a better place in the DMV area for sweets, pastries and cake.

We had a red velvet, cream cheese raspberry cake and everyone LOVED it. I unfortunately did not have a chance to even eat the cake but I tasted it at our tasting a few months back so I know what it was like. And based on how little cake there is left at my parents house, I know it was perfect. Areen's on site delivery staff were awesome and the cake came out beautiful. Classic Bakery is awesome and I would highly recommend them to anyone at any time for any event. Thank you Areen

Classic Bakery was AMAZING! The cake was deliciously moist, and the consultation was very informative. Areen was the representative who assisted us, and he was very knowledgeable, and prepared. He helped us decide on a wedding cake and provided great detail of pricing, logistics, and other options based on our budget. Their cakes are gorgeous! And did I mention DELICIOUS! Classic Bakery created an amazing three tiered cake for our wedding at Ceresville Mansion. We ordered the yellow cake/chocolate mousse, chocolate cake/chocolate mousse, and the banana cake/banana filling tiers with butter cream icing, and the taste was superb. It was beautifully decorated with our Lladro Love Nest cake topper and placed at the center of the room with pin spot lights. The brilliant bright butter cream combined with the bright pin lighting literally made the cake glow. It was gorgeous!

Having done so many events as an event planner....I never had guests RAVE about the cake at the wedding and ask for 2nd and 3rd helpings! Not an inch of that cake was left! Areen...from the beauty on the outside and the Nutella and red velvet inside...this cake was to die for!!! Can't thank you enough! This cake was its own wow factor and my wedding had plenty!!! :)

I apologize for not writing a review sooner about the wonderful, and most beautiful cupcake wedding cake Classic Bakery made for our son and now his lovely wife's wedding day. The cake was the centerpiece at the Sequoia Restaurant where the wedding reception took place. The artful and elaborate yet refine set up of the jeweled stand where the 200 cupcakes layed was perfection. All the guests including the bride and groom were in awe of it and no one wanted to take a cupcake in fear of ruining the wedding cake's glory. However everyone did at the end of the evening and those velvety cupcakes were delicious!

Our wedding cake came out perfect. Very moist, full of flavor and designed beautifully. We tried many cakes, and most were dry and not as tasteful. The cake from Classic was so fresh and tasteful, designed and created just the way we wanted.

We had a endless selection of ingredients for the cake. We went with a fruit cream and mocha split cake. All our guests raved about our cake. Beautiful and elegantly designed and a very reasonable price.

Highly recommend Classic Bakery for all bakery needs.

Very personal service, best tasting cakes, not too sweet and beautiful! The owner gave us suggestions on how we could save money, and we opted to use the fresh orchids for the cake. When miguel came in to decorate it, it looked JUST AS I PICTURED IT. They seriously matched my cascading orchids photograph I gave them, and they had the best price in town for the amount of cake hey made, and included delivery and set-up. Thanks Classic Bakery!!

We had a beautiful 4-tier wedding cake at an extremely reasonable price. It was buttercream, so it tasted great, but looked as smooth as fondant. They were extremely professional, came on time, and had plenty of experience working with our hotel (Hotel Monaco in DC). Delivery was very reasonable, and they also lent us a cake stand.

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. We recently had our wedding and Classic bakery did our cake. Chocolate Cake w/ hazelnut cream filling and european cream frosting - seriously out of this world deliciious. MOIST. I have had SO many slices of DRY wedding cake and this cake was NOT dissapointing - everyone raved about how good it was!! \r\n\r\nThe price is EXTREMELY reasonable (much less than other bakeries I looked at), the service was FANTASTIC and they were SO easy to coordinate with -- they delivered the cake on time and it came looking PERECT. Truly a fbulous experience working with them and we will be getting all of our holiday/birthday cakes from them from now on!!

Two words: Nutella cream. Hands down, the BEST cake I've ever tasted. Not just wedding cake--I mean, all cakes. We ordered two cakes from Classic Bakery for our May 2013 wedding: praline & white chocolate mousse (wedding cake) and the aforementioned Nutella cream cake (groom's cake). Both were spectacular; several guests came up to us to comment on how delicious the cake was (and there was serious competition at our wedding--in addition to the two cakes, we also featured three other desserts and an assortment of cookies). I was raised in Germany and sought out a European-style bakery--Classic Bakery exceeded my expectations in delivering a cake that was big on flavor but not sickly sweet like so many American desserts, and was so light and fluffy. SO YUMMY.

Taste aside, the prices were so reasonable.

And let's not forget the service. My now-husband and I forgot which flavor we selected after the tasting and called Classic Bakery to ask if we could come in again. "No problem" was the response. Areen (sp? Gosh, I forget how to spell it) was SO HELPFUL. I wanted a Ravens-themed groom's cake and he worked with us on design and even talked us down from a bigger, more expensive cake. Everything was so simple!

Cakes were delivered on time, set up, and again--SO YUMMY.

I highly recommend them for your wedding cake!

My husband and I easily tasted a dozen wedding cakes while trying to select our baker. I was raised thinking real buttercream must only be made with butter, not shortening. My husband and I found it frustrating because I couldn't find a cake that tasted far beyond grocery store cake.

While at the orthodontist I was expressing my frustration, when to my surprise, one of the coordinators provided me a business card for Classic Bakery. She said at Classic Bakery, the frosting is a special recipe, more like bavarian cream, and the cakes taste incredible, so we scheduled a tasting.

The cakes were beyond delicious, and the owners have a romantic flair. They even provided us with a groom for the cake, since we were unable to find one that looked like my husband. We wanted to celebrate my parents at our wedding for being married so long, and requested a small cake be made like their wedding cake. It was perfect. All of our guests raved about our wedding cake, and no piece went uneaten. The fun part is that for our first anniversary, Classic Bakery will make a small anniversary cake for us for free, so we get fresh wedding cake instead of year old cake. If you're looking for the best tasting cake that still looks gorgeous, choose Classic Bakery.

It was such a pleasure working with Areen. They listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond to make sure we get a wonderful cake for our wedding. We had our wedding reception a couple weeks ago and used Creative Cakes. We couldn't have been happier with the service we received from the staff! We gave them a picture of what we wanted and at the reception we looked at the cake and it looked identical to that picture! Even better - the cake tasted great! Classic Bakery did an outstanding job on my daughter's wedding cake. It far exceeded our expectations for presentation and quality. A bit tucked away in Gaithersburg, MD, but Classic Bakery is definitely worth it! Coming from Manassas, VA we were a bit hesitant with driving the distance to attend our tasting appointment. How glad we were to make the drive! Me and my fiance were literally blown away with the quality of their cakes. The bakery was so helpful with our choices and with their design expertise, we ended up with an absolutely memorable cake! It was till the end that we had realized that the bakery is actually only 20 minutes from downtown DC. I am now a regular customer at Classic Bakery after buying my parents anniversary cake, and my nephews 1st birthday.

Went to 4 different shops in the DC-Metro area, and not one of them were willing to take on the daunting task to create our fondant masterpiece. Classic Bakery not only took on the challenge but surprised us with a wonderful cake that turned out better than the Chef who originally designed the cake. I heard about Classic Bakery through a referral from a friend and I'm so glad I used them! Our cake consultation was great and Areen was super flexible with our designs and our needs through the process. Even last minute changes were able to be accommodated with no problem at all. They have beautiful Alexis Maddox designs cake toppers we were able to choose from (without having to order through the website themselves and wait on shipping etc).

As far as the taste of the cake, we absolutely loved it! Ours was a 4 tiered buttercream cake with 2 varying layers, Vanilla sponge cake with strawberries and champagne filling, and the second was a chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse filling. Both were amazing, not too sweet and perfectly light. During our consultation we were able to taste up to 4 different types of cake and that helped a lot in choosing our flavor. Areen and Classic Bakery will make sure your cake is all you've dreamt it to be!!

Since we got married in November and our wedding venue had a rustic feel, Steve and I chose to have various types of pie as our dessert, rather than wedding cake. The pies from Classic Bakery were excellent!! We chose to have apple, blueberry, and cherry (especially since they were a bit more affordable than other types including pumpkin). Areen was particularly helpful in helping me select types and place the order.

One thing to note: when I originally called Classic Bakery for information about their pies, they quoted me one price. Unfortunately, when I called back a few months later to actually place the order, they quoted me a higher price. It was still affordable, but I just wanted to note that.

Overall, I would highly recommend the pies from Classic Bakery, and also just the idea of having pie instead of wedding cake. Our guests really enjoyed it!!

I was so indecisive about my wedding cake, I wanted to most elaborate cake but I was on a tight budget. Areen helped me find the prettiest cake. He gave great suggestions to liven up my cake and have it stand out. He was honest and very flexible. The cake was so moist and it tasted and looked like a million bucks. Classic made our wedding cake for our February 14th wedding. It was a 3 tier wedding cake which we picked our filling but left all the design aspects to Areen and his father. We emailed a picture of our centerpieces which I designed and allowed them to "have fun with it". I trusted them completely and I am so glad that I did! Our cake was gorgeous, at least we thought so. The only thing that was not 100% was the filling of the bottom and top layer was different than what we had requested. We had asked for strawberry and ended up with the mixed fruit I believe. It had kiwi, strawberry, etc..... in the filling. It was still delicious and in reality not a big deal and the only people who noticed were my husband and I and since we did not have our cake types listed on our menu cards.... not a huge deal at all. That is the only reason we did not give a perfect 5, just wanted to be honest.

Also, our wedding and reception was in Savage, MD at the Historic Savage Mill so quite a drive. About 45 minutes but our cake arrived FLAWLESS!!!!! Another thing I was freaking out about during the planning process.... watching all those wedding cake shows where the cake ends up on the floor is scary. But if they can deliver that far away and in February's RECORD snowfall, I would trust them completely!

I am looking forward to getting a baby shower and birthday cakes from there in the near future!

Incredible Cake

Classic Bakery made our cake tasting and design process SO MUCH FUN!!! And the ordering process was SO EASY!!!

As an amateur baker myself, i had high expectations not just for the process, but the actual cake itself. Most cakes i've had taste the same. Not at Classic Bakery.

For our (FREE before we even booked) tasting, we walked in and were given 4 samples to take home. Before going home, the wedding cake consultant chatted with me to figure out the basics of what i wanted for the design, we got a quote on the spot

As soon as i tried the carrot and apricot cream cake, i was IN LOVE. My husband was VERY impressed with the Pineapple and Cream cake, and we spent the next few days noshing on the other samples

This was the most delicious cake my husband and I have ever eaten. The staff was very helpful and informative. Our cake looked exactly how I had described the design to the baker. They were accommodating to the changes we made in short notice and our order included a free anniversary cake. All of our guests agreed that this was the best wedding cake.

Areen at Classic Bakery worked with us to design the perfect cake, and even the perfect flavor! I was not amazed by the tasting, since they keep your samples in the fridge, so the cake is cold and the textures are off. But the cake on the day of the wedding was AMAZING, and I was really wishing I had taken leftovers to eat on our honeymoon. They make very professional looking cakes, and ours was stunning. I am giving a 4/5 for professionalism because on the day of the wedding, Areen was away and someone else was making my cake, and the bakery was calling me while I was having my hair done to ask questions about the design and insist that I had not brought enough ribbon... That was a little bit frustrating, but we worked it out and bottom line, the cake was beautiful and delicious.

Delicious fresh cream cake! Our cake was beautiful and delicious. The owners of the bakery have been in the business for years and they know what they are doing. The only reason I did not give them a perfect 5 stars for responsiveness was because when I called the bakery a couple of times to make a change or inquire about our order, I sat on hold for a very long time while they tracked down my order. But otherwise, everything else was great.

The highlight of our night. Made an absolutely one of a kind fondant cake, resembling the pattern of my wedding dress. Truly a remarkable cake decorator. Nice and friendly family business. A+++

We had to get another wedding cake after our original vendor fell through two weeks before our wedding. We had 200 guests and were very stressed. Classic Bakery definitely delivered with a delicious cake.

Our first tasting with them did not meet our standards as I think the person in charge was not there that day. We knew their cakes were delicious but their communication was really off... A young lady just gave us the cakes and was not able to sit down and discuss as we tasted. Afterwards, any question we had, she kept having to go in the back and get an answer. She tried her best but she was just not the person for it. We didn't go with them in the first place only for this reason.

BUT When we went the second time, a gentleman, Areen, walked through us with the tasting. He knew how to sell the product and he also had all the information with what was clearly a history of experience. We were EXTREMELY pleased with the final product, it's delivery and our second experience. They delivered and set up the cake beautifully without our supervision. The cake itself was absolutely scrumptious. The design was identical to our requested picture. I recommend you definitely confirm your tasting with Areen if you go with this vendor. You will be very satisfied.

Classic Bakery is an ideal choice for anyone with sophisticated taste in confections. Their cake is light and flavorful and available in a wide variety of flavors and designs. We were sold on the whipped cream icing. Hardly the thick, heavy buttercream most of us are accustomed to at weddings. You can eat two slices and still be ready to head back to the dance floor!

We purchased a two tier cake for our wedding on June 29, 2018. At our cake tasting, we chose marble cake with pomegranate filling. The cake looked so beautiful and just the way and colors that we wanted. The taste and freshness of it was out of this world!!!! Our guests loved everything about it and constantly were asking about the bakery which we purchased our cake from.

Classic Bakery did our wedding cake/cupcakes. They were amazing from what I heard. All the cupcakes were gone! Everything was made how we wanted it. Just a few issues with the tastings before the wedding but other than that, great experience.

The experienced Rubic at Classic Bakery baked us our fresh wedding cake just the way we requested it and on time. We successfully transported the cake in our car to its destination without messing it up, placed a dozen red roses for decoration, and it was a big hit. Our cake was so delicious, that the guests ate most of it and the left overs went to grandma. A special thanks to Rubic's son Areen who helps manage the bakery like a well oiled machine. I helped with coordinating a very low cost wedding for my cousin. To save costs on the cake, we decided to order undecorated cakes from Classic Bakery in Gaithersburg to assemblr and decorate ourselves at the reception site. For $150, we ordered 8", 10", and 12" strawberry creme cakes with white whipped cream frosting on Monday for the Friday wedding. My cousin picked up the cakes on Thursday evening to drop off at a Chinese restaurant in Rockville, MD, where the reception was being held. We bought 2 Wilton separator cake plates and 8 clear columns for the tiers from Fran's Cake and Candy in Virginia for about $25. We bought a bouquet of white hydrangea's from Whole Foods Supermarket in Rockville for about $12 to decorate the cake. We also bought plastic Wilton flower spikes for about $3 and a cake decorating set for about $8 at AC moore in Rockville. We ordered smooth white frosting with a smooth white border (similar to shell borders) with undecorated tops. Since the cakes were undecorated, the bakery was willing to give us a small container of white frosting which we used to pipe dots on the sides of each cake. I was surprised that they would have charged us $50 per cake to put the dots on the sides of the cake, which is so simple to do yourself. So, we saved $150 just because of the dots (which really did make the cake look special in hindsight). Although I was nervous and stressed about ruining the cake, it was surprisingly easy and simple to assemble and decorate it ourselves. The cake turned out to be very beautiful and elegant, and it tasted moist and delicious. I'm glad that we did not use supermarket cake because it was apparant from the taste that the cakes came from a very good bakery. I made sure that I washed the hydrangea bouquet carefully at home since they were going to be used on the cake. We set up the cake on a gorgeous silver cake stand that we borrowed (at no cost) from St. Anthony's bridal in Rockville. We are very, very pleased with the results and the cost savings.

Delivery was on time. The cake however didn’t taste the same as the day we had our tasting. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t what we expected. Still a good bakery.

Our wedding cake from Classic Bakery was truly one of the best wedding cakes I've ever tasted. I'm sure most brides say this, but our guests said the same thing! Classic Bakery was wonderful during the ordering process. They made recommendations on how we could stretch our budget without sacrificing style or taste and our cake ended up coming in several hundred dollars under budget. Even after cutting back the size of the cake we ordered, we ended up having leftovers. Luckily, the cake was so good that our guests were more than happy to eat it again at our open house the next day - some even took leftovers home with them! Unfortunately, we did run in to some issues on the day of the wedding. Our cake was delivered over an hour late. It arrived minutes before our guests were supposed to enter the ballroom for dinner, but the cake topper was missing. When the driver reached the store, we learned that the cake topper had been inadvertently been left behind but was on its way. The topper finally arrived at some point during dinner. Classic Bakery was incredibly apologetic and worked with us after the wedding to rectify their mistake.
