    Artist to the max

    Claire Pettibone is hands down the most amazing artist. Her dresses are a masterpiece. I met her in person when trying on her gowns at the pop-up show in NYC. The dresses are of the highest quality, and if you don't have the budget to pay for the more expensive ones, you can find something spectacular in the sample sale, which is easily accessible online.

    My dream dress at a great price

    I absolutely love Clair Pettibone's designs, and the dress that i ended up buying (Coachella) could not have been more perfect for me and the setting of my wedding. Everyone who saw me in it said, "It's so you." After months of searching and trying on over 30 dresses, I couldn't decide between two dresses. I deliberated on my decision for weeks and almost pulled the trigger on one. Then I happened to see the Coachella dress online at a sample sale price, and I made an appointment to go into the Claire Pettibone flagship boutique store that week to try it on. My best friend and I immediately fell in love with it and knew it was the one for me. There was no doubt, no deliberation, no question. When you know, you know. Lynn and Claire were both so nice and wonderful to work with. I had a great experience overall, and I now have a dress that I could wear to another event, as it doesn't have that obvious bridal look as other dresses. Thank you, Claire and Lynn!

    I adore my wedding dress from Claire Pettibone. I don't live very close to any of the stores that carry her line so I had to order my dress via the Heirloom line on the website. I was very excited to find out they would make a dress in a custom size for me, and they were able to do a rush order since I inquired very last minute (in wedding dress time). Heidi was the rep I worked with and she has been so kind and helpful throughout the entire process. Everything was professional but very friendly at the same time (an uncommon combination in the bridal industry). I ordered the Patchouli gown in all ivory since I am having a winter wedding and wanted the dress to go with silver toned accessories. It arrived just the other day (I'm getting married early in December) and it is breathtaking. I've never seen such beautiful lace. The dress moves just right with my body. My mom exclaimed at how it could fit in a reasonable sized box and not take up an entire closet! It is too big but thats by no fault of the Claire Pettibone team. I've just lost a considerable amount of weight in a short time (bad flu, but also clean eating in prep for the big day). Nothing my seamstress can't fix up in a couple days. I really am stunned by what a fairy tale process it has been. I'm a professional artist and felt that I needed a dress designed by someone with a real artistic eye. Claire is without a doubt a master of her craft. Thank you again Heidi and Claire! You've made a girl's fondest dream come true!

    I ordered my wedding gown from Claire Pettibone directly after seeing it on the website. It was absolutely gorgeous, flawlessly designed and the workmanship was exquisite.

    I can't say enough good things about Erica and Claire at Claire Pettibone. My dress was a dream come true, and they were very flexible in helping me afford my alterations, after my dress was made and did not fit my bust properly. I had already paid for a custom bust, but when I had my first fitting, we all realized it needed to have even more coverage. Claire and Erica agreed to do my alterations in house, which saved my a ton of money than having to go with an outside seamstress. They were so helpful and patient, and really wanted to make sure I was happy. The gowns are expensive, but you'll never feel better in your life than wearing one of Claire's creations, and she's a lovely person on top of that! Five Stars!

    Gorgeous gowns, I fell in love with the first one I tried on and never looked at another gown again! Completely hand-made and Italian silk, it truly is one of a kind. I felt like it was made for me. I was lucky enough to take advantage of the sample sale and feel like I stole it since it was marked down almost 75%. Every single person at the wedding complimented me on how unique and gorgeous the design was.

    I found my Claire Pettibone dress that I wanted in 2005 I believe and they made it for me for 2008. It was even better in person and it is made to fit you. They worked with me even though I lived far away. Sometimes the people working there were a little spacey, but nothing worth docking points for. The dress, beautiful. I'm still getting comments on how beautiful and unique it was 3 months later.

    The personal fitting was great and went really well. They helped me pick out a headpiece and were really honest about what would look best on me in a really professional way. At the end of the day, this will be the most beautiful dress I own for the rest of my life... SO beautiful!

    I loved my dress and it was perfect for my venue! The best part about it was the "custom" fitting that came straight from my measurements. I also got to redesign the top the way i wanted it. the fitting was with claire herself, who was great.

    I got my wedding dress from Claire Pettibone Boutique. I love that shop and have helped two of my friends buy dresses from there before! So it was nice to go there again for my own wedding dress!! I loved the dress I got. Usually I am very finicky, but once I tried this dress on, my mind was made up. I was able to have the dress customized to my fitting without any problems. It was a great experience - I love the variety of dresses and professionalism at this place.

    When I first did a search for lace wedding gowns, the most traditional lace dresses came up, but I remained diligent and plowed through all the search results in images on google til I landed on a wonderful lace gown designed by Claire Pettibone. The lace was not traditional but rather embroidered with large flowers that popped off the fabric giving it a three dimensional look and feel. I was intrigued but concerned because Claire's shop was in Beverly Hills and I thought, oh well, they will not be very helpful and I will have to drive across town to be treated poorly. Do I want to do that? I am glad I did.

    Claire was present - adore her. She fitted me personally and was assisted by Cynthia Pinoit who was so sweet you could make cookies with her. I tried on a simple and elegant dress i felt appropriate for the wedding I was planning in my head and I committed to buying it. I flew my mother down to see the dress on me. She found a couple more she liked, I tried those on, she liked them. She then pulled out the Madame Butterfly, which has lovely gold flowers all over it and she asked me to try it on. I had tried it on earlier, but felt it was not the right dress for the occasion - we were eloping and the dress was very elaborate! I tried it on and it fit like a glove. My mother started crying, we hugged and that was that. Throughout my experience in fittings, the staff were amazing, gracious and communicative. We had a couple of snafus with customs, but everything went according to plan.

    My dress arrived fitting perfectly and my veil was with it. It wasn't the veil I ordered, it was a version of it, but I was so delighted it didn't matter to me as the whole things was so beautiful I couldn't stop smiling. I walked down the aisle looking amazing. People gasped when they saw my dress and my train. I can't believe I own something so beautiful. I am grateful to Claire and to Cynthia for being so professional and TALENTED. We had the Belle Epoque wedding of the century thanks to Claire. We didn't elope and we planned the entire event around our dress...the whole day was gorgeous.

    The most beautiful dresses in the world. I was able to go to their flagship location in Los Angeles, and it was everything you imagine wedding dress shopping should be: cookies, sangria, champagne, and the most gorgeous gowns you've ever seen. Heidi was wonderful, she chose several dresses I would never have considered, including the one I ended up getting married in! Loved them, was a wonderful experience, highly recommend.

    From the first time I saw a Claire Pettibone dress at my friend's wedding, I knew that was what I wanted for my own. From the initial email to them to go to the Flagship salon, I knew it was a special place. My Mom, Dad, and I came in for the fitting and tried on many dresses until we found "the one" with Wendy. She was helpful finding dresses that stuck within the budget we wanted and finding new ones based off what I liked and didn't like from what we tried on.

    Once I put on the Kristene dress it was perfect. The dress is so well made, incredibly lightweight, gorgeous color, and moves so well as you walk and dance. Once she put the matching veil on my Dad stood up and said "that's it we are buying it!" We ordered it in custom measurements and picked it up a few months later. Hardly any alterations were needed except hemming to my shoe height, it fit like a glove and was "me".

    The day of the wedding I got endless compliments on the dress and how unique and perfect it looked on me. Thank you to Claire Pettibone and Wendy for making the experience so easy and wonderful. I highly recommend the flagship salon and all of her dresses for the effortless look and most comfortable well-fitting dress I've ever owned. I've never felt more beautiful and myself than when I wore that Kristene dress on my wedding day.

    I am a bride that recently got married in a wonderful Chantilly Gown.
    My gown also did not have construction, but on my body it worked.
    I do have to say, my gown was so late, due to customs or fabric ..and I was in a panic. Cynthia was extremely helpful, and displayed above and beyond customer service, I found her very sweet and called me every step of the way. Cynthia helped me to stay calm during what could have been an ablsolute disaster.. Rosa and Cynthia were under a lot of preasure not only to deliver my late gown, but as I understood there were other gowns that were very late. could not have been able to handle that kind of pressure. Rosa did my alterations, she was very insigntful and even gave me tips for the day of.
    I too an a very curvy, from my experience, with the right undergarments , I felt like the most beautiful girl. I too was custom bust , and custom lenght. and I looked Flawless!!

    While I loved my gown and think Claire Pettibone is amazing, I can't believe how poorly constructed my gown was, and how incredibly large it was once I received it (and neither could the professional seamstress I took it to - she was shocked at the bias it was cut on which allow the dress to stretch). I was measured at a size 10, although I am a size 4 in my daily clothes. I assumed this was because of different wedding dress sizes, but when I received it, it literally fell off of me. I wear a size 32DD, and the chest on my dress hung around my bellybutton (fun!). Moreover, many of Claire's gowns have absolutely no structure in the chest, which makes it necessary to add boning and even - in my case - stitch in a strapless bra, and take in about 3.5 inches around the chest. This is fine, but it made the dress much less comfortable and very different fitting on me. Moreover, my dress stretched out a lot (even during the wedding). If I had purchased the size 4 sample dress that I had tried on and loved, all of the proportions would have been the same, and I would have been happy with the dress. Unfortunately, I really wasn't happy with the way the dress fit me and had to spend hundreds of dollars on alterations and modifications to the dress. I was also comped "custom length" at the Beverly Hills store, but again, it was waaay too long. I had to pay for my own custom length, and was frustrated when Cynthia at the store didn't even apologize or suggest that it might have been her fault.

    Basically I think Claire is brilliant, and I absolutely loved the look of my dress. But the execution of her dress - and the customer service at her flagship store - could use some improvement. I ended up changing into my reception dress 3 songs into my reception because my wedding dress had stretched out so much it was falling off of me. Not a great thing to deal with on my wedding day!
